It's to the Real Crisis Concealed Thing

Dear America,

Thank you, George. Love that.

Moving right along to being more to the point, probably my favorite verse in the whole Bible, comes in the advice immediately following.  So to the Apostle Paul speaking to the Philippians one more time:

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praise worthy-- think about such things,  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me -- put it into practice.  And the God of peace will be with you," (Philippians Ch. 4:8-9)

These are anxious days in America.  Newsflash: again.

While my Jesus Calling of daily devotions noted this just today: "Don't divide your life into things you can do by yourself and things that require My help.  Instead, rely on Me in every situation."

To which my reply is, yes, please. 

Summer is over.  
And given this stark reality -- my responsibilities to family, job, service organization, my own welfare, have collided into a whirlwind of activity from dawn until dusk.  But strangely enough, I'm finding that the more I slow down, the more I can accomplish; to be sure, this girl is venturing to capture the very essence of less is more in all things no matter where life takes me.   

And to that end, the sheer demand of being present with one thing at a time has allowed me to meet this intersection -- this continuously running four-way stop, juggling day to day things, pulling me this way, and that way -- without collision, and without so much as a ding (aside from the rather off-putting run-on sentence)  (cuz it's what I do!) (what ever)

It's not me; it's letting God do God's thing with me. What's the point in fighting it anymore; truth is, there is nothing that I do all by myself that I do very well.

And this is just my observation (duh) -- but America, as a whole, seems to be in this place.   

No,  Not the position of letting God to God's thing...as we slip further and further away from that day in the life of America, losing our religion and all...; but the place called collision.  

And never you mind the logic, or the dictionary, but this place called collision happens to appear just after collusion.  I know.  weird, right?

Those links, plucked from my one of my favorite things -- The Patriot Post -- just gives a nice snapshot of the scene of the accident.  And to have it make sense, you need to read the second link before the first.  k?  And if you have already read the first before the second, it will be okay; no need to look back.  The further you get away from it in the rear view mirror, the better.  (Just say a little prayer and keep going, that's what I always do.)

SYRIA.

What a mess.  

But I kinda like where this president is going with it.  

The thing is, people -- Trump said he was not in favor of this thing called Endless Wars.  And it's a pretty big deal in America.

Honestly, I'm confused by all the grief Trump is getting on this one.  The reality never changing on these Endless Wars, year in and year out, has been a horrific scene on the side of the road that nobody seems brave enough to walk away from, and I mean, nobody.  

America is not responsible for being the leader along the avenue of providing security forces for the entire world!  

It's like, how did we get here?  Why did I highlight that sentence as if rainbows and unicorns are dancing in my head?

as a matter of fact, I think the president should do more of this.  

Pull out! Bring our troops home.  Let all the world provide their own security...if only for a nano-second in the great scheme of things.  

Better yet, start sending an invoice for services provided.  If you want American troops, with heavy artillery and a spirit of leave no man behind, we will comply and properly send all the world a bill.  How would that be?  

And yet, where would that invoice to the Syrian Kurds go?  Seriously?  Where would you send it?

Love this headline from The Washington ComPost:  "Trump downplays U.S. alliance with Syrian Kurds, saying ‘they didn’t help us in the Second World War’"

What amuses me, in this age of most Americans having war fatigue for quite some time now, is that we have finally come to a point of decision under Trump, to loosen the grip we have in the Middle East just an itty bitty bit, and suddenly people respond with oh my word, no, we can't do that...Seriously?

Now -- I have always believed that you go into war to win.  I have have always believed in peace through strength.  I have always believed in defending human rights, whether next door, or around the world.  I have always believed in keeping a strong military, national sovereignty, and secure American borders.  I have always believed that our national security, and the intrepid keeping of a well-regulated militia, is the MOST important, and quite possibly the MAIN, responsibility of our Federal Government...

And with that being said, I believe the world has taken advantage of America and her security resources.

The thing is,  it's Americans, everyday Americans, who have paid dearly for this good fortune all over the world -- in body, in limb, in mind, in soul, in assets and tax payer dollars!

I believe this aspect of policing the world's peace and security has got to come to a better understanding; it's just a consideration, don't hate.

In any event, between Trump's lack of eloquence, in general, and his natural ability to look like a bull in a china shop on any day, this whole Syrian scene is hard to ignore; the damage has been done and we can't seem to look away, let alone un-see it.    What else can we expect with the election of a mover and a shaker, and quintessential New Yorker, to the highest office in all the land?  This is Trump doing Trump things, as only Trump can do.  (Just hoping Trump prays on all things, too.)

Moving right along.  The whole world is a basket case.

Ah boy, the more I think about it, it's not so much the little things happening in my own little world that make me anxious, so much as the other things going on around me -- in the macro.  

And then again, this too, must be let go.

God is still in charge.

God has a plan.

God is not dead, no matter how many people around us act like it.

And this TRUTH gives me pause at every turn.  Awe, G, look both ways before you cross the street and then look up.

Look up. Indeed.  Look up.

And, look in; close your eyes and look inside and know that God is doing God's thing.  Rely on God in every situation, large and small, and all things will be well.  No matter what happens.

The drive-by media makes matters so much closer than they appear in the rear-view mirror; and not only that, the drive-by loves to accentuate the negative when it comes to any story, any decision, any thing and every thing this president does.  That is just a drive-by fact courtesy of yours truly.

Moving right along.  Collision, collusion, tomayto, tomahto.  It's all the same.  We survive by the Grace of God, large and small.  And to that end, it would be wise to be disciplined in the reliance of God in everything.

It is through this reliance that we are assured true peace, every day.

It's the Prick Pit Pray Day

Reynolds was responding to a piece at the New York Sun, It Seems Trump Was Right to Fire James Comey, posted just yesterday.

Just for the record, this girl didn't feel comfortable repeating his choice of words there...but just had to do it, you know, for the love of country, right Comey?

but alas, I can't.  As this girl doesn't have a subscription.  Guessing it's pretty good.

And yet, that boy comes out and says this stunner:

Okay, so Comey is asking for a non-apology apology... after leading a total defamation investigation of his own, against a sitting president, lasting two years and wasting 35 million taxpayer dollars?  Seriously?

He cannot be for real.

My hope is that this IG report is holding back on the real treasure trove of illegal and obscene abuses of power yet to be revealed, and allowing this pompous fool to step in it for a wee bit.  

yes, this girl can dream.

Where is Comey's apology to Trump?   

After all is said and undone -- after purposely, and mindfully, setting up the president for a fall following the infamous Trump Tower meeting, after collecting data on the president, after telling the president to his face that he is not under investigation WHEN  IN FACT THE INVESTIGATION WAS WELL UNDER WAY  --  AND after finding that there is NO evidence of collusion, or obstruction of justice, and  after Comey's entire case was based upon a false dossier, paid for by democrat operatives....Comey expects the apology? 

Just gotta love this from The New York Sun:

Talk about the elaborate framing of a sitting president that almost worked!

It's Reading is Fundamental Thing

The founders of the country saw the nation’s existence, its faith and its posterity as a package deal. It all went together.

Williams.  In this post, he is responding like a total gentleman to an absurdity happening under the direction of the New York Times, and a thing called "1619 Project."

That error is shared by too many Americans. The word democracy appears nowhere in the two most fundamental founding documents of our nation — the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution...
The founders had utter contempt for democracy. James Madison, the acknowledged father of the Constitution, wrote in Federalist Paper No. 10, that in a pure democracy “there is nothing to check the inducement to sacrifice the weaker party or the obnoxious individual.” At the 1787 Constitutional Convention, delegate Edmund Randolph said, “that in tracing these evils to their origin every man had found it in the turbulence and follies of democracy.” John Adams said: “Remember, democracy never lasts long. so much of America's fundamentals, and what, precisely, America has accomplished over its last nearly 250 years, is so misunderstood or misaligned today.

Case in point, returning to the AOC for some chuckles...ya right, "young people are more informed and dynamic than their predecessors...they actually take time to read and understand our [world] history." And then also say, "I think this new generation is very profound, and very strong, and very brave, because they're actually willing to go to the streets..."  as if that's never happened before.

And Bernie is no help at all.  Talk about village idiots... 65 million Chinese later.  Yes, Bernie, leadership, like, under Chinese leaders, like Mao, is quite the legacy to follow.

so clearly, this girl has fed you many things to read today.

It's a Good Day to be Back Thing

so this girl was gone for a good chunk of the calendar...hit the wild blue yonder and never looked back, so it would seem.  Hail to the gap between June 21st through the 10th, yo

But surely, all's well that ends, as my mama says --  so here I am, finally, and all the while still stumbling for the right words in this process of getting all my wheels on the ground and coming to a complete stop before unbuckling my seat belt and jumping back into my life full steam ahead.

Yes, long gone is the steam engine.  good point.  


speaking of steam, oh to celebrating the nation's holiday of America's Independence in the city where it all happens -- in Washington DC!  It surely did not disappoint! 

Timing is everything and talk about fireworks. 

Yikes to the Nike's for caving into a false narrative of our founding and making a total mess of a certain HERstory -- namely, of Betsy Ross (and that link there, is a good one...love my Star Parker, you go girl).   Truth be told, although there were many women doing their thing way in the background way back when, Betsy was, like, you know, the one and only true symbol of women taking an active part in the American Revolution.

Colin, like, I thought your beef was with police brutality against the black man?  How did we go from that to this -- a full blown, knock down, war against America herself?

TO be clear, and to be more bold, offering up a little context that many of you might understand a wee bit better --  this Betsy flag --  the one celebrating our thirteen fire breathing colonies posturing to wreak havoc upon the king and queens across the pond.... that flag...that flag was like the first Rainbow flag!  k, ya dig?  You get it now?

Shame on you, Colin -- and how you got away with it, I have no idea. 

Every women's organization should be throwing down shade one after the other, every which way to Sunday and back,  upon this disgraceful show of disrespect...talk about misogyny!  Where's the ESPY award for that, cuz Nike and Colin are all tied up right about now and it's gonna be a photo finish.   And especially as we are coming into this new season,  of celebrating a woman's right to vote -- the 100th anniversary in August 2020 no less! 

Oh, but to diss Betsy like so, to diss the first flag, to diss our long struggle of fighting for the freedoms every single one of us ridiculously enjoy every day...this first flag, celebrating the 13 colonies joining forces against pure oppression, against England, meant something so much bigger than Colin is even capable of recognizing, let alone understanding.  And same goes for that Nike guy and CEO, Mark Parker.  If you hate America so much, then maybe you two should consider living somewhere else.  Maybe, just maybe, you should stop exploiting Americans by making money off of such lies and steam engine fodder and go live the rest of your days, say, in Venezuela. 

Colin -- would it have been better if the revolution didn't work out so well?  If perhaps, this land and your land, in the company of so much of the royal colonization around the world, was STILL under the control of Great Britain and the Church of England?   Would that have been a better ending to the war that ultimately revolutionized the entire globe? 

Oh let the good steam roll...


You, dear Colin, are an idiot -- an ignorant, left-brained, small-minded peddler of nothing more than perversions of  America's truths, not only dating back to our founding, but including and up through the current day's climate,  which virtually binds us and buries us in untruths and fake news all the live long day.

But seriously, hail to the nitwits bashing capitalism while enjoying the benefits of capitalism, using the tools of capitalism, and marketing through all the capitalized social networks available to sell this kind of nonsense, right?

If bashing capitalism is so woke -- these yokels should at least start with everything "made in china," just sayin' --  at which point, full steam ahead with making your point to Apple, Google, Microsoft, um GEICO...um, Mickey D's....um what else, oh yeah, Nike, that should have been numero uno.....Adidas, Levi-Strauss...then there is Starbucks.... Ford, Chevrolet, Amtrak, United Airlines....yeah yeah.  the list goes on and on and on and on and on. 

let's just stop making everything and live in tee-pees and begin eating off the prairie, starting, like, yesterday.  I'm in.

oh let the good steam roll...

The thing is, THIS is why teaching history, HERstory, is so freeeking important!  CONTEXT is everything.   The era, itself, is meaningful.  The culture of the day gives credence to the day.  And fortunately, all things continue to change over time itself.    Betsy Ross, being a Quaker, was a fighter against slavery; she was on the right side of history, even while history revealed serious faults throughout the struggle of equality for all.

The thing is --  we learn so much when we are learned people and understand from which we all came --  the good, the bad, and the ugly notwithstanding.  (Oh to witness the books from Thomas J's personal library, all I wanted to do was break the glass and smell the pages of a book he once turned; an incredible place the Library of Congress, put that on your bucket list if you have not gone already. but I digress.)

 
Hail to the few and the proud who purchased the Nike Betsy Ross Sneaker before it was pulled; going to their capitalism war chest of tools and ammo, some scored $2000 on the after market collector's market instantly created upon her loss.    Isn't capitalism rich?  indeed.

This girl had a Fourth of July to remember back in the District of Columbia, leaving footprints all over the city, from DAR Headquarters and Constitution Hall, crossing the ellipse umpteen times, to visiting our National Cathedral, to the Library of Congress, to the rooftop of my darling daughter's first apartment (a roof with a view that spans all the way from the National Cathedral, all the way across town... where steeples peek out from the treetops, to the nation's Capitol building rising up against the twilight sky, to the Washington Monument, to the Kennedy Center and the majestic Potomac, all with a fireworks show that lit up hearts and minds in equal portion, no matter rich or poor, all over town).

Although every day was met with an unimaginable level of hot and steamy temperatures, making it unbearably difficult to truly enjoy the great outdoors, I must say, capitalism is alive and well in this fine American neck of the woods.  Alive and well.  What a beautiful thing to behold.

so that's all I got.
time for a hot steam before heading to work; scratch that, gonna go to work first, then return to a hot steam for my reward.   oh life is good.

And the whole truth is -- America is good -- and the more we emphasize the good, the good-er we all get.

It's a Giving Good Twitter Day Thing

That's probably one of her best lines,   "I don’t use those words to just throw bombs...A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist."  Seriously?

FIRST, @ AOC, just to get it out of the way:  Just where was this outrage when the OBAMA Administration did it?  Were you just too busy bar-tending to rise up against the atrocities way back when and then?

But also, as a matter of record -- it was YOU who invoked the Nazi into the conversation with simply using the phrase, never again.  Even YOU said it means something.  Yes.  It does.  It means something in relationship with the Jews, and more specifically, Jews being held in Nazi Concentration Camps.  It was YOU who made the dots connect.

And in the second, just who is making these decisions to come to our country illegally --  risking life and limb, risking the separation of minors from parents, risking one's own welfare by having to live in a detention center for however length of time...just who is making these people decide to do this?

You mean, like, in an effort to Keep America Great?


Is it authoritarian to know who is coming into our country?  Is it authoritarian to have a system of entering and immigrating into a country legally, like, anywhere?

Because, if you consider it fascist to ask all those interested in immigrating to America to follow the rules already in place, then you must think it absolutely barbarian for what other countries may require --

India
There is no path to legal permanent residency for foreigners who are not of Indian ancestry, except through marriage or by giving up their original citizenship to become naturalised. A person must leave India every five years to re-apply for their long-term visa. Even if you own a business in India and invested heavily in the economy India will never grant you residency.
Gulf States
Gulf states are keen to protect their country's status quo and don’t want to compromise their cultural values or standard of living by allowing foreigners to become permanent members of society. Your only route to becoming a naturalised citizen is by marriage to a national; even this, however, doesn’t guarantee citizenship, particularly for non-Muslims.
China
Chinese citizenship is legally authorised, but in practice is near impossible. According to the Law of Citizenship, if you're a foreigner seeking Chinese citizenship, you must be either: a relative of Chinese citizens, or permanently living in China, making Immigration to China one of the hardest in the world. Despite a population approaching 1.4 billion, during the Fifth National Population Census (2000) there were only 941 naturalized citizens who did not belong to a recognised Communist Party.

Switzerland
To be considered for permanent residency you must live in Switzerland for 10 years. To be eligible to do that, you must either be a high-net-worth investor, married to a Swiss partner or be employed by a Swiss company in a highly skilled and well-paid roll. In short, those who want to emigrate to Switzerland have a mountain to climb.

gotta love those Swiss, right?  talk about strong...teehee "high-net-worth."

But I digress.

The thing is -- we all know what is happening at AMERICA's southern border.  It is part of the Democratic coup, undermining this administration.  It is about breaking America, by way of a humanitarian crisis at the border, allowing an army of unskilled workers to enter our country, receive benefits, and vote on behalf of the democratic party.  This is about control.  This is about the absence of Rule of Law.  This is about bringing America -- and everything for which she stands -- to a screeching halt.

What's fascist, Little Miss AOC  --  [Which by definition, @google -- "A fascist is a follower of a political philosophy characterized by authoritarian views and a strong central government — and no tolerance for opposing opinions"] is how YOUR PARTY -- an army of democrats, progressives, and socialists --  continually band together to attack conservatives --  those otherwise recognized with opposing views.   Generally speaking -- and you should know this -- conservatives abhor any version of strong central government control, governments that micro-manage every facet of our lives.  We conservatives dig freedom and independence in every way, ya dig?

What's fascist, is the constant pull towards the progressive agenda that your party continually inflicts upon the American people -- without a choice, down our throats and against our will.   It's as if there is absolutely no tolerance for opposing opinions,  no room for even so much as a conversation of our differences, let alone ways to improve our immigration system, let alone ways to manage the abomination happening at the border.

Elections have consequences, right?  The American people spoke (and Russia had nothing to do with it).  The American people voted for Trump primarily due to the immigration/humanitarian problem that continues to swell.

1.  They are being held in what's called a detention center; additionally, no one is performing hard labor as they occupy the shelter (paid for by the American taxpayer), nor are they awaiting execution (see below).

3.  The illegal person(s) are entering on their own volition, knowing they are breaking the law, knowing there is no place to live other than in one of our detention centers, with families separated.  They don't have to do this, these people.

4.  and besides, just like Chris Cuomo  to Don Lemon:  "A guy who says things that I don't like, whose abusive of the truth, who can be obnoxious for effect, and pander to a group of people in this country is not necessarily a step away from a genocidal maniac."

It's just a kick in the derriere Thing

what makes America attractive to people from other countries, other cultures, IS our level of sophistication of civilization; our high level of advancement in most areas of importance to a life well lived is here -- from the culture, itself, to the sciences, to the extent of individual and collective industry, to the standard of living, to the very ability to advance in society as an individual, to the highest level of health care in the world and fully available from sea to shining sea. We got it all going on, in America.

There used to be a requirement for ALL immigrants coming to America to have, in place, a host -- someone who would take full responsibility for all costs, all needs, including shelter, healthcare, and welfare in every way, until such time the immigrant could fully assimilate into civilization, the American culture, on their own.

Now -- however -- the individual host mandate has been foolishly replaced by government, like that in California.   And democrats are leading this charge.

Now, illegal immigrants who illegally break the law and cross our border, human traffic, leech government resources, assault border patrol, run roughshod over every law, rule, stipulation to comply, let alone be responsible enough to show up for your very own asylum hearing,  get a pass?!  Are you serious?  All the while, American taxpayers, who can't afford a damn thing anymore being trillions of dollars in debt --not counting personal debt -- have to foot the bill?  Are you serious?  

As the world turns, in America --  as we keep kicking the can down the road, as we keep kicking ourselves up the politically correct butt, as we keep kicking it via the social media mayhem of the world we have created, as we keep kicking it towards the total absence of individual liberty through wanton socialist dreams --  there will come a day when we will all wake up and America will be a civilization that once was.  We will be kicked to smithereens and six feet under; the only trace will live inside the  history books, and right alongside Greece and Rome, under the heading of fallen civilizations we have known and loved.

It's to Be or Not to Be a Cryin' Shame Thing

for the record, this girl purposely chose the CBS link, above, to double down on the level of bullshit of this portion of his full statement; you know, given that this is the part that everyone seems to be slicing and dicing in the media, social and otherwise, in the aftermath.

But let's be clear -- Bob purposely said it this way, when he could have said the exact opposite, going a little something like this:  if we had had confidence that the president clearly committed a crime, we would have said so

You see how different that sounds?

But no.

Bob knowingly calculated the kind of mileage a statement such as this might make, and he said it, doing a marvelous job masking the glee inside his heart, even with the bags under his eyes, looking completely exhausted, and all.  Bob basically, pointedly, strategically, dropped a bomb, taking no time for questions, and then dropped the mic.  End of story (for Bob, anyway).

Bob, knowingly, laid the groundwork to allow the media and the democrats to do the rest.  #fuel to the fire;  # unbiased special council, my ass; # how fast can we impeach the guy now....

Until today, I have defended Mueller against the accusations that he is a partisan. I did not believe that he personally favored either the Democrats or the Republicans, or had a point of view on whether President Trump should be impeached. But I have now changed my mind. By putting his thumb, indeed his elbow, on the scale of justice in favor of impeachment based on obstruction of justice, Mueller has revealed his partisan bias. He also has distorted the critical role of a prosecutor in our justice system.

Mueller's role is to protect truth and justice,  no matter what his personal beliefs.  

But Bob waited for the eleventh hour -- 
after refusing to meet with Congress, 
after making a point to say the report speaks for itself,
and he spoke.  

He spoke without any cross examination allowed.  

He spoke in order to plant the seed.

He spoke to irrigate the channel,  cross-pollinating media and the left, for the continuance of this nonsense --  this outrageous partisanship that all began at the dawn of a fake dossier (and paid for by the opposition party, namely,  The Clinton Campaign).

He spoke in order to germinate the seed to support a case for impeachment, even though there is no proof, no facts, no grounds, whatsoever. 

He spoke and then he promptly stopped speaking...like a big, fat, take that, MAGA nation.

He spoke and then walked off into the sunset -- and he may have well have been totally naked, for that matter, for his motives were that transparent.

what a shame, what a shame.

The only thing that has become startling clear, is that it's a sad sad day for America, for we the people.

It's a Time for Listening Thing

let's get right to it, shall we?

i was without internet yesterday, like, all day.  IKR?

for me, it didn't really matter about the blog...for some days this bird is completely happy flying under the radar and I am totally okay with not chirping in and saying so much as a toot sweet.  But what was interesting -- given every time I went to look at something on my phone -- there I was, flapping my wings at high speed data if I wanted to do anything.  So I didn't.  I spent the day doing little to nothing when it came to falling into the virtues of the ether-reality we recognize as life connected tightly at the hip to a gadget, any gadget, like, get me another gadget, one that works, stat.

Luckily, being plump in the middle of pet sitting for a sum total of two days -- my entertainment came and went with fur balls and happy tails, plastic toys that squeaked, rubber balls that went sailing over the grass with a pooch panting madly behind it, and a wide-mouthed bearded dragon who just gazed at me with the silliest little grin wondering what kind of wax worm, roach, or cricket he gets to eat next, and in between crunching upon bok choy like he was straight out of a cartoon.

No bother; chock it up to days when the universe forces us to heel (and heal, and how).

I drank detox tea and lounged.

And I lounged.

Played ball.

And I lounged.

Played more ball.

I didn't even read a book; matter of fact, didn't even bring a book with me as I thought I would have no time.  ha!  hilarious.

I cat napped, like twice...once, right alongside a real live cat!

And it was good.

Like, what's a girl gonna do -- pick a fight with the Almighty Creator of all of our days?  Clearly, it was like some kind of precious gift from the Mastermind of  All Things telling me to just stop.

SO I did.  [It's happened before, so, you know,  you can be sure this girl is finally catching onto the idea of just going with It.  Baby steps, baby steps.]

Thing is, besides sitting more, I also tried to listen more while deep in the quiet of my hours of my yesterday.

Truth be told, consumed by the glut of self-interests fresh out of school, I lament the fact that I wasn't as keen on listening back then; my guess is, I was far better in the asking for what I want rather than seeking what God wanted for me.   To which I feel compelled to add, to plead my case -- --  um, I'm sorry; forgive me; it has to be better late than never, right?  

I know Lord.  So cliché my bae.

BUT NO, it really isn't.  
I REALLY FEEL IT.  
I really feel in my heart that it's far better to have learned to really and truly listen to this Spirit inside me and around me and working through me, on a daily basis, later in life, than never at all.  

Like,  for never is, like, a really long long time; it's like, forever and ever; and to never ever come to know this Prince of Peace and Quiet, this Loving Guidance fully available, enveloping all our days from start to stop, from sunrise to sunset and even while we sleep...now that would really truly be a sad sad thing.

It's overwhelming and tragic, this speed in which America's Judeo-Christian culture, that sense of being in true community with one another alongside a common belief, and faith, in Something Greater than ourselves, is falling away from tradition and becoming more and more absent from our hearts and minds.  At a loss, are all the things the teachings freely give to us, to enrich us, to set our hearts and minds aright as we go about the business of our day to day.

Is it all just lip-service, as our politicians cling to the words and ideals that have guided this nation for so long, making their case before the American people...when they say things like, 'that is not who we are' or 'we are better than this' or whenever any of us gather to speak the words of our Pledge of Allegiance?

How do we defend a nation against all enemies, when the enemy is within?


It would seem, by the looks of how The Left wishes to come in hot feeding us the glorious big lie of how government dependency is the great cure-all for every little thing in this world -- listening more to what God wants...listening to the still small voice of the Divine that only It can give... is totally not of this world, this modern day, being intellectually decided to be of no use whatsoever.

Oh this day -- these times -- being ever so popular for democrats, as a whole, to call out the moral outrage of certain things, like, for instance, border walls; when, in reality, a border wall seems to be the least of our worries....that is, when it comes to immorality.  Like, seriously, Nancy?

This combination of "immoral, expensive and unwise" has only become their new mantra; when, for certain, it doesn't describe a wall, at all.  It best articulates the savagery against fiscal responsibility, true liberty and independence for all, of the American people, that this American government -- including every administration of the last hundred years -- has accomplished, to our detriment. Now that's immoral. Expensive.  And so freaking unwise it's not even funny.

To side with Shultz on one thing --  it's about that 21 TRILLION DOLLARS.

And please, don't get me wrong, this girl is not being judge and jury -- just making an observation, k.   I'm just making the observation that many more of us should be making a true observation of our world.  It's called looking at the bigger picture, bigger picture.

I mean, honestly...on a personal note, I just attended an awareness rally on Human Trafficking this past Saturday...it's a pretty big deal out here in Southern California; and, we all bear witness to a barrage of ugly sights and sounds and stories all across the web all the live long day; and, apparently we all live, now, in an era where the state of New York has just legalized infanticide!   So that is just three things that come to mind in less than thirty seconds that we may just want to spend some of our precious time pondering when it comes to important topics with morality at the center!

And Nancy wants to judge a wall that separates a country from another country? 

Hmm like the Great Wall of China?  Does she hate that one, too?

Or, like the walls that surround the Obama's new D.C. home?
Or, like the great wall that surrounds the Clinton's New York homestead?
Wait, like, do you have a wall around your home, Nancy?  Or make that, your vineyard?  You're being a little gauche, wouldn't you say?

But more to the point, what is so wrong with asking people -- all people -- to wait in line and follow the immigration law, the rules, already in place?  Wouldn't that be notably more sound, more moral, when it comes to the actions of every prospective immigrant wanting to come to America?

Wouldn't those be just the kind of people we would like to have immigrate....the one's who actually take the time to sit and be still and wait there turn and do the right thing, no matter how long it takes, or what you have to give up in return?

A return to the principles that shaped America into the shelter, built upon Rock, that she has grown to become...for all the world.... is a daily ritual, with individuals taking action, one by one, and together forming a chain, linking heritage and values, virtues and morals, and assimilating into one perfect union...and waking up the next day, and doing it all over again.  It's why America has long been characterized as The Melting Pot.    This is not only our best hope, it is our ONLY hope.

It's About a Divide that keeps on Giving Thing

about that State of the Union ....whether it happens on Tuesday, or  not, we all pretty much have an idea of what the state of the union is.  And it may be widely different, depending upon the politics of the person and direction of the conversation.

Yesterday was Book Club with my ladies.

But the conversation was such that this girl was able to grasp a smidgen of the grand scheme of things, and came away, not only wanting to read the book -- but also having an even wider view than I already had of just how often history repeats itself.

Often, in today's political climate, we hear people say things like, 'we've never been this polarized before' or "we are more divided than we've ever been..." -- and it's like poppycock, our country been here before , and then some, now please pass me the lemonade.

Nothing against our eight grade history teachers, but one of the things greatly lost on perspective  about this war of 1812, is that this war is taught more like a blip on the radar, with other moments hijacking its significance; even it's name comes from only when the war started.  When, in fact, this WAR  of 1812 was a hard fought battle, after hard fought battle, after hard fought battle, against the well-established and organized British Navy (yes, again) and it carried on for years.  

This miracle of New Orleans we speak of, was in the year 1815 -- and it would seem that if it weren't for the masterful tactics and command of General Andrew Jackson, our young country may not have survived, let alone been able to expand to the west of the Mississippi.  And he did it while organizing the not so merry band of misfits --  an unlikely union -- of the only resources and people available.   

And bear in mind, that it was the British -- unaware of the Treaty of Ghent (recognized as Belgium, today) signed at the end of 1814 -- who launched the attack in New Orleans, on January 8, 1815...

And as Brian says, "What the British didn't count on was the power of General Andrew Jackson. A formidable military leader with a grudge against the British and a heart for the common man, he rallied the divided inhabitants of New Orleans, bringing together Frenchmen, Native Americans, freed slaves, pirates, and Kentucky woodsmen."

Not bad for the outsider --  as Jackson was not part of the military elite, having the powers that be in D.C. describing him as "a stubborn and crude westerner."  But, "his troops loved him.  He was fearless in battle, but not reckless" as Brian continues, while giving a brief characterization in a short video on his website.  

Now -- just to be clear -- the issues that led to the War of 1812 was one of great D.C. divide as well; and be that as it may, by the end of the war, the Federalist Party met up with its bitter end, as well.   

This thing we call divide within the union is nothing new.

Just look at how some divisions -- as in,  the forces that conspired to create the perfect storm that led to the Civil War in 1861 -- met up with history, at the corner of courage and cultural shift.

America has met division, has weathered conflict within and without the world, and has seen plenty of polarizing days  -- in political measure -- way more than once or twice -- like, way.

It's how we do things around here, right?

The thing is.....what's changed in a very big way.... the thing that has impacted this division, of all the things we carry, in ways unseen before, IS best described as a cultural breakdown.     

Buttressed by the antics and widespread narratives -- some entirely manufactured --  through the left-leaning mainstream, from traditional media to social media, everything gets tilted through the eyes of a liberal lens; and, like, long gone are the days we had to wait for the morning paper --- cue the non-stop streams of buzz, whether true or false.

While at the same time -- a growing fraction of people, who uncharacteristically think of themselves as Americans, are being romanced, totally manipulated, brainwashed, into believing a new green deal, a new wave of socialism rising, is the answer to their every need.   

Socialism is rising in America, and, like, who ever would have thought.  [that is just plum scary stuff]
 
Just Like, I'm increasing the use of the word 'like' just to channel my inner AOC...it's easy to be influenced, like, you know?

It's all just surreal really.

The things that are suddenly becoming acceptable on American soil...

Take for instance, New York.  Please.  

This new bill -- allowing late term abortion all the way up the due date?  And celebrating it?

New York went from legalizing abortion up to 24 weeks...to full term...like, what?

Terminating a baby who has nearly reached full term?   Is this the only answer, or am I crazy?  IF the mother's life is in danger, what happened to delivery by c-section and offering the baby for adoption...that is, if the mother no longer wants the baby?  I just don't get this at all.

Some Americans are celebrating this legislation, while other Americans are in mourning.

Shocked, actually.

That’s the savagery New York leaders call 'progress.' That’s the 'achievement' Cuomo turned into a pink beacon, shining 'a bright light forward for the rest of the nation to follow'.”

Newsflash: not all of us agree on this one.

But perhaps here's a silver lining -- millennials are becoming the generation more aligned with a return to the sanctity of life....huh?   Even though a majority [75%] consider themselves to be "pro-choice" -- the same survey also revealed that 65% believe are "pro-life."   hallelujah

And in a move to be a little more provocative than usual, just before I make my exit, let me just add that Americans seem to LOVE and HATE different things.

Who was marching peacefully for March for Life? 
Who was doing the taunting and screaming of racist chants?  
And who spread flat out lies about both?

Oh this divide...it's called the constant, state of the union; like, our system of checks and balances, our life and times as a republic, is entirely dependent on continuing this kind of divide.

It is real.

And it probably isn't going away anytime soon, if history dictates anything.  Some days are better than others; some days we get to sip a little lemonade under the shade of an apple tree and think good things...and some days, not so much.

all the more reason to follow this advice: "When things are going sweetly and peacefully, please pause a moment, and then say out out loud, 'If this isn't nice, what is?"

It's Just a Good Start Thing

Dear America,

just taking a few baby steps this morning...now nearly afternoon... as this girl ever so slowly resurfaces.......re-entering the blogosphere for the very first time in 2019; so here's our first quote to accompany us:  "Everyday is great -- it's a day extra."  [Jake LaMotta, boxer]

it's also the Day After the president's Oval Office address.  ooh rah 
must say -- he sounded a wee bit more mature  in this new year, if I'm not mistaken.  teehee

Talking about reaching maturity, whether individually or collectively, this girl is feeling sorta nostalgic on this rather bright and sunny Southern California day; so, on a whim,  a hit on the Day After, above, will link you to my very first blog! This being blog #974... from the serious to nonsensical, suffice it to say, this girl has covered a lot of ground over the last decade; just sayin'.

But oh to God be the Glory that I have lasted this long.  Day in and Day out, altogether it makes 2019 something of a celebratory year.  Traditionally, when referring to years of marriage, the anniversary is marked with gifts of tin or aluminum -- recognizing the resiliency and steadfastness required to make it thus far. So, to put this in perspective -- if this blog keeps producing 'til July 23rd -- I will have surpassed my marital devotion by a whole six months.   Now there's a new years resolution to write home about, eh?

It's About that Julia Ghoulia Thing

Dear America,

astonishing, isn't it?

...Julia Ioffe, a columnist for GQ Magazine, said this on CNN with Jake Tapper....and Tapper didn't even question it.

On one hand, this commentary is simply disgraceful; on the other, it goes to prove just how leftists really think, and operate, and have their being, really.  And it all goes to the credit of one of the Left's leading mentors --  Saul Alinsky.  They -- the Left -- should know a lot about radicalization, for Alinsky wrote the book that led a generation, and an entire movement; a movement that is still alive and well today.  That book is titled,  RULES for RADICALS.

Of course, what we normally think of when it comes to radicalization today -- usually steers us in the direction of the Middle East, the place where the deep seated roots, the fertile soil, and subsequent branches of Radical Islam began; it began there, only to grow and extend around the world, reaching levels of ferocity of extremism in ways seen and unseen.  It is a mystery as to how truly entrenched the world really is,  for no one has the nerve to talk about it, let alone investigate it...except perhaps, this president.  But that is neither here nor there at the present moment.

What is here  -- and there -- and everywhere -- is an unbelievable amount of harassment and vitriol against not only a sitting president, but a guy, a fellow American,  who honestly just wants what is best for this country; what is most on his mind, are the needs and concerns of THIS country, and no other.

Having said what she said -- just how this Julia ghoulia still has a job anywhere upon this very day, is beyond my understanding.  But even having said that, I will respect her freedom to say what she wants to say, given our foundation.  Free speech is free speech is free speech.  

But oh boy...she gives one of the most asinine character assassinations of a president I think I have ever heard. 

And nobody seemed to balk on CNN -- except for that one token conservative on the panel, David Urban...um, like, aren't you gonna say something about that Jake?

No.  
He's not, David.
Doncha know they are all drinking the same koolaid, listening to the same podcasts, and doling out the same hate, at 78 beats per minute  (just to put it in a language common of the times back in the day when rules and radicals first aligned).  Only now -- it's better, bigger, bolder and on a loop 24/7, from broadcast news to cable to each and every wave of broadband from sea to shining sea.

Alinsky may have set this in motion back in the day when eight track tapes were just the thing, but guess what, folks?  It's working...and not only that, the Left has probably never been more organized or as powerful than it is right now.

Even people who think they have their head on straight --  like Kanye West -- suddenly have second thoughts and give in or give up; for by all appearances, the pile on Trump is simply too great; it's a mainstream mountain too high, a demagoguery valley so low, there ain't nowhere to go but into the stream of leftist consciousness, no matter how outlandish the perception or plum tall tale lies. 

Perceptions don't need to be based in truth; it's called just the right mix of manure and dirt...and just about anything can take root and recklessly spread like a weed.

But whether we all agree to make America great again, or not -- make no mistake:  America is at a time of her own choosing as we speak.

Under our feet are numerous laws in motion... laws like, that of attraction, that of creation -- and everything that we do or say today, right now, is immediately placed into the American soil.

Tomorrow we reap what we sow.

I recently listened to Erwin McManus on the Hillsong Channel -- he was speaking of this kind of choosing that we all do, day in and day out, even if we go about our business totally oblivious to it.  And he said something rather stunning -- he said -- "evil men don't wait for God's permission to move forward."

They just do it.

No questions, no conscience at play, no wondering, um, should I or should I not.  They just do it.

Radicalization speaks of the kind of evil that only evil men and women do.

And for Julia to place President Trump in this company -- or worse -- to accuse him of "radicalizing so many more people than ISIS" is unconscionable, indefensible and wrong every which way to Sunday and back.  Julia owes the president an apology....

and, as a matter of fact, she owes me an apology, too  -- for just who is she referring to anyway? 
me? 
Have I been radicalized -- simply for voting for Trump?
Am I a radical -- according to Julia ghoulia -- just because I don't believe in open borders, or approve of Obamacare, or am about to vote yes on the removal of the California gas tax? 
Seriously?   Am I?
Now, truth be told, the synagogue shooter didn't even like Trump, so that connection just isn't even there there...
But if we're going there,  just maybe I will take my crack pot who can't even build a mail bomb over your baseball field ambush dude any day of the week.

Julia, Julia, Julia -- this divide -- it is just part and parcel of the landscape of American politics, the choice of government large or small, and goes to the center of our differences.  Thinking you need to grow a little smarter than what you have on display, just sayin' -- this new radical- leftist hybrid model is just not ready for prime time.

And even though I know how you got here -- thanks to Alinsky and his followers, and their followers, and the followers after that....you are a product of radical ideas that were planted, promulgated and propagated for decades.  You feel quite certain, by the company you keep, that you are on the right track for the right reasons and are not afraid to say so through any means necessary.  For the end justifies the means, right...

I get it.

I have seen it; I have read about it; I understand it; and I even bear witness to it every day here in America.

and now, I am so over it.

All this girl ever wants for America, is what is best for America -- as a whole.

This diary of America is feeling so downtrodden...crushed under the weight of an American spirit usurped by hooligans and marauders and outlaws and ignorant people like Julia...speaking of which,
