not even her own parents are shielding her from this circus....matter of fact, they wrote a family memoir, being packaged and marketed just after Greta's 3am nightmares began (October 2018) -- and yet, the truth is, her mother wrote the memoir before Greta became so afflicted by this thing called climate change.  hmmmmmmm  isn't that interesting.

So is Greta a potential victim of climate change --- or ?  Thank you, Matt Walsh at Daily Wire.

And yet, here we are, experiencing en masse, a global meltdown, with children like Greta who will never forgive world leaders for their reckless, irresponsible, shameful response to climate change worldwide...because children like Greta have been led to believe they have less than 12 years to live now.  Right, AOC?   

She's the little miss from Queens who famously declared:  “Millennials and people, you know, Gen Z and all these folks that will come after us, are looking up, and we’re like: ‘The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change, and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?”

it's getting pretty ridiculous.

it's making my head spin.  

and yet, it's real.  this is really happening.  Our kids, the pawns, are falling victim to the most vicious kind of fraud.

It's of Things RESOLVED and FURTHER RESOLVED Thing

Dear America,

and so it begins...

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors

 unanimously passed a resolution 

Tuesday 

declaring the National Rifle Association 

a domestic terrorist organization

 and 

urging other municipalities to do the same.

FULL TRANSCRIPT OF RESOLUTION

and it's written so well...they didn't leave anything out nor skimp on the stats.

wait

scratch that.

Even though they spent a fair portion of Resolution #190841 outlining the specifics of their grievances with the NRA -- including phrases pulled from our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution -- they conveniently left out the stipulations within the Second Amendment, which clearly states:

"A well regulated militia,  

being necessary to the security of a free state, 

the right of the people to keep and bear arms, 

shall not be infringed."

It's a basic, fundamental right to keep and bear arms in America.

And given that the National Rifle Association is an organization that primarily focuses upon the great responsibility, as free citizens, to act responsibly with regards to keeping and bearing such arms, this resolution is ridiculous and a stunt. 

The membership of the NRA are a force of actively participating hunters, gun owners, and average citizens, who believe that the right to keep and bear arms is a duty and privilege, of which Americans cannot take for granted, nor ignore the opportunity to teach and model appropriate gun use.

Guns are not the problem.
The NRA is not the problem.

The person pulling the trigger is the problem. 

And that is the result of many variables, including but not limited to, mental illness, drug usage/abuse, gang violence, domestic violence, general accidents, and of course, acts of terror by an individual, or group.  All mass shootings are acts of terror.  All shootings are acts of terror...whether it's on the streets of Baltimore, Chicago, or at the Gilroy festival last July.

None of which is the fault of the NRA.

and yet...ready for the big finish:

RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco intends to declare the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to assess the financial and contractual relationships our vendors and contractors have with this domestic terrorist organization; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to limit those entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business with this domestic terrorist organization; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should encourage all other jurisdictions, including other cities, states, and the federal government, to adopt similar positions.

That the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to assess the financial and contractual relationships our vendors and contractors have with this domestic terrorist organization; 

So the blacklist method moves from Hollywood against Trump voters, to San Francisco against NRA members and its associations; wow, who ever would have thought this would happen... in America?

Like, what happened to coexisting?

Why so much hate against the one organization that preaches responsible behavior comes hand in hand with gun ownership?

Like, what, did the Gilroy shooter call up the NRA and seek its blessing before committing such a heinous crime?   Does the NRA promote mass shootings on its website somewhere?  Just how does this board connect the dots and bullets with any sense of logic? 

Based upon their logic, documented in this resolution, just maybe the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is guilty of domestic terrorism -- simply knowing that they have looked the other way to actual acts of violence against its own citizens, at the hands and handgun of UNsupervised illegals.  LIKE the STEINLE case, for example....HERE....  News gaining this kind of response from Ken Cucinelli:

"Kate Steinle was tragically killed because San Francisco proudly proclaims itself a sanctuary city," U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Acting Director Ken Cuccinelli tweeted Friday night. "How many more innocents will die b4 [before] sanctuary cities stop harboring violent criminals? This defies common sense, public safety, & human decency. #NoJustice."

Clearly, this Board of Supervisor's stunt appears to be more about fulfilling its radical agenda; initiating further action, as controversial as it is, should not surprise any of us.   This day was bound to come.  It's part of the natural progression in the evolution of leftists, in the staging and execution of a modern day coup from the inside, to overturn America's foundations; it's just what happens after San Francisco has already declared itself a sanctuary to illegals, and has become the poster child (Los Angeles being its twin) of a total non-nonsensical, reckless, open door policy to Americas homeless. 
Come one, come all.

I would carry a license to carry -- and carry everyday -- AND be a card-carrying-member of the NRA  -- if I lived in San Francisco right now.  just sayin'

This move by this board is ludicrous.

Dangerous.

And more than anything else, the sad truth is, these efforts will have no positive effect upon the actual issue of gun violence, whether it comes one person at a time, or via a mass shooting.

FURTHER RESOLVED, by virtue of the order of all things, a simple life heeding the authority of a Higher Power, as in One Nation under God, recognizes our duty as individuals to be in relationship with the ideals of a virtuous society built upon trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship...and maybe a little brotherly love, too.  A sound adherence to natural law breeds a sound nature, sound body, sound whole.

It's a Downright Foregone Conclusion Thing

Last Thursday, when the staffers were complaining of not getting the $15.00/hour plus health benefits package -- the same kind of entitlement package Bernie is touting on the campaign trail -- as in the same kind of government co-dependency programs that all of the left winged presidential hopefuls keep insisting upon through agendas featuring fundamental transformation to the 2020th power -- Bernie found a solution........wait for it.....

The solution is to "limit the number of hours staffers work to 42 or 43 each week to ensure they’re making the equivalent of $15 an hour," he told the Register's Brianne Pfannenstiel

hahhahahhahahhahhah

and he then added: 

 "It does bother me that people are going outside of the process and going to the media," Sanders added. "That is really not acceptable. It is really not what labor negotiations are about, and it's improper."

yes indeed, airing the campaigns dirty laundry in public is quite improper. What, are you british now?

just love that, "going to the media...really not acceptable..."  can't you just hear it coming out of his mouth?  but honestly, since when have you believed that, Bern?  Union negotiations have long been bosom buddies with the media -- from both sides!  How else is the public swayed; how else do the negotiations feel the burn and come to an end over merely the stress factor, the amount of human suffering alone is enough, right?  omg

the irony of the situation came whipping back like a boomerang; although, I still don't think the Bern even gets it.  His answer is always the same thing -- tax more, he says.  Talk like a Brit, sound like a Brit, he must be a Brit, that Bern.   You know we colonists had a knock down, drag out, hellacious war over taxation, right?  You know just finished celebrating the independence from those oppressors of the olden-days, like only a couple weeks ago, right?

And just love how Representative Dan Crenshaw responds: "So does this fall under the category of hypocrisy, irony, or poetic justice?" Crenshaw asked. "All three? Can’t make this stuff up."

The thing is, if this insane $15.00 minimum wage can't work within the confines of a small political campaign, how in the world does Bernie expect it to work in the real world? 

As the Fox News post continues to point out --

 "This situation is an instructive example of the downside of more than doubling the minimum wage," wrote The Blaze's Aaron Colen. "Companies don't just suddenly get more money to pay employees. They have to make tough decisions; usually either cutting hours, or worse, cutting staff."

And since when does it make sense to basically double the current  federal minimum wage, like, overnight?  (like,  this girl is so sounding like the AOC today, like for sure)   

Sure -- like, businesses won't feel the burn at all going from $7.25/hour (set in 2009) to $15.00 with a quick vote from parliament.  oops, I mean congress.    boom! bust!  ha!

And besides --  many states, almost half of them actually, are not affected by the federally mandated minimum wage at all,  as they already land somewhere above it!   For example, most of the state of California is at a minimum wage of at least $12.00, going up to $15.00, depending upon municipality. 

But the thing is --  this game of minimum wage hikes and government mandates is getting America in a situation much like that of the British Open (ironically played in Northern Ireland, at  Royal Portrush’s Dunluce...am I the only one to find that funny).   

And forgive me (not really) if I carry you off the day's course for a wee bit....

That was a totally awesome day, yesterday, as the Irishman, Shane Lowry, took the most sizable portion of the purse!  He won!  And he deserved it!  He played better than all of the other players!  By a long shot!  Even in inhospitable conditions of rain coming down sideways, winds, and lots and lots of scary things all around the course, from bunkers to weeds to cliffs to hilly greens.  It was an amazing four day spectacle of true grit and talent -- and Shane conquered it all and won!  And he was paid handsomely for it, too, nearly 2 million dollars!  But runner up, Tommy Fleetwood -- although a wee bit higher on the handsome side, got only 1.2 million....and so on and so on.  

Even though they all played the same number of days, the same course, with the same weather, with the same challenges...one got paid more than everybody else.  imagine that.

You see -- if you demanded that everyone get the same fair living wage in the tournament, there would be no tournament.  k?  can you dig me another bunker for your shock and awe?  

awww  but G, that's not the same thing, you're comparing golf balls to basketballs....oh really?

No matter the industry -- whether for sport or for commerce or for service -- there is always the existence of supply and demand, of risk and investment, of capital in and capital out, of gains and losses, of development over time and patience, of market leanings, market evolution, to markets totally disappearing... and all coinciding with the natural separation of personal experience and expertise and talent and dedicated amount of time!   And when you add it all up, that makes way for proper distribution of winners and losers and everyone in between.  Even if it's for charity. 

It remains a mystical, magical, economical equation -- much of which is no mystery whatsoever.   It is all fair play according to the open marketplace; an open marketplace like the one a money guy like Adam Smith imagined...class, no matter your class -- middle and otherwise -- please engage and read up on the ideas of Mr. Smith and make your own foregone conclusions.

The more America drives away from being the land of the home and the free within the security (and spontaneity, shall we say) of the enterprising, free market, full capitalist, dimension, the less security and wealth we will attain, let alone keep.

yes.  Let's Keep America Great again.

In order to do this, the free and open marketplace must win; and socialism -- of every ugly, miserable, envious dimension -- must lose!  bigly.  very very bigly.

Bernie's campaign has illuminated everything we need to know and understand about the fundamental transformation he is pitching to all Americans.  1)  Most importantly, it doesn't work  2) why do something that has been proven time and time again NOT to work?

but why would you give free healthcare

California officials have estimated the benefits would be available to about 90,000 low-income illegal immigrants at a cost of $98 million per year. 

To pay for part of it, the state agreed to start taxing people who don’t have health insurance. It’s a revival of the individual-mandate penalty that had been on the books nationwide under former President Barack Obama’s health-care law until Republicans in Congress eliminated it as part of the 2017 overhaul to the tax code.

yup, you heard that right.

what makes America attractive to people from other countries, other cultures, IS our level of sophistication of civilization; our high level of advancement in most areas of importance to a life well lived is here -- from the culture, itself, to the sciences, to the extent of individual and collective industry, to the standard of living, to the very ability to advance in society as an individual, to the highest level of health care in the world and fully available from sea to shining sea. There used to be a requirement for ALL immigrants coming to America to have, in place, a host -- someone who would take full responsibility for all costs, all needs, including shelter, healthcare, and welfare in every way, until such time the immigrant could fully assimilate into civilization, the American culture, on their own.

Now -- however -- the individual host mandate has been foolishly replaced by government, like that in California.   And democrats are leading this charge.

Now, illegal immigrants who illegally break the law and cross our border, human traffic, leech government resources, assault border patrol, run roughshod over every law, rule, stipulation to comply, let alone be responsible enough to show up for your very own asylum hearing,  get a pass?!  Are you serious?  All the while, American taxpayers, who can't afford a damn thing anymore being trillions of dollars in debt --not counting personal debt -- have to foot the bill?  Are you serious?  

As the world turns, in America --  as we keep kicking the can down the road, as we keep kicking ourselves up the politically correct butt, as we keep kicking it via the social media mayhem of the world we have created, as we keep kicking it towards the total absence of individual liberty through wanton socialist dreams --  there will come a day when we will all wake up and America will be a civilization that once was.  We will be kicked to smithereens and six feet under; the only trace will live inside the  history books, and right alongside Greece and Rome, under the heading of fallen civilizations we have known and loved.

Peggy Noonan was quick on the twitter to say, "“And good natured with the white jackets, who I see some on twitter are calling the straight jackets. AOC had a rare bad night, looking not spirited, warm and original as usual but sullen, teenaged and at a loss."  

To which, AOC replied:“Tonight was an unsettling night for our country. The president failed to offer any plan, any vision at all, for our future. We’re flying without a pilot. And I‘m not here to comfort anyone about that fact.”

And given how long a speech it was....82 minutes to be exact....this year's SOTU even tops last year's numbers, and even toppled the viewership of Obama's SOTU in 2011.  

Anywho, Alexandria -- you may wanna rethink how the American people think about things..."unsettling" may not be where we're at. just sayin'

And yet, for the AOC...and her fellow democrats...it's not enough; not even close.

In AOC terms -- in twelve years, she predicts that the world is going to end if we don't address climate change; oh, and here's her companion piece of legislation to go with that...see Green New Deal details.

To which I wonder, why do we need a Green New Deal if the world is ending in twelve years anyway?

In a perfect world -- in terms of life goals and aspirations of the young AOC -- we would all be socialists by now.

What say you, Mr. President?

Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country. America was founded on liberty and independence --- not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free, and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.

And yet, in truth -- in reality and not made for TV --  government dependency is on the rise.  Year in and year out, our welfare budget grows at a faster rate than our military budget and national security combined, by far.  To put it in proper perspective, our Military gets a budget of about 716 Billion dollars in 2019; while our welfare system, dedicates 721 Billion to Medicare alone, and another 458 Billion to various other welfare programs, making a grand total of $1,179 Billion..........over a trillion dollars.

And the Dem's quibble about 5.7 Billion dollars...

and about this ending.........

Everything that has come since -- our triumph over communism, our giant leaps of science and discovery, our unrivaled progress toward equality and justice -- all of it is possible thanks to the blood and tears and courage and vision of the Americans who came before. 

Think of this Capitol -- think of this very chamber, where lawmakers before you voted to end slavery, to build the railroads and the highways, to defeat fascism, to secure civil rights, to face down an evil empire. 

Here tonight, we have legislators from across this magnificent republic. But to Alex from the Bronx -- the girl with the degree in economics, no less -- um.  me thinks you need to be less concentrated on making fashion statements of political threads and shreds, and better immersed in the things and ideals that have actually stitched this nation together.

Our founders wove an exquisite weave of the best policies of the ages -- from Aristotle, the Greeks, we gathered ideas like this:  "even the best of men in authority are liable to be corrupted by passion.  We may conclude then that the law is reason without passion, and it is therefore preferable to any individual."

From the Romans, Cicero recognized the connection between mankind and Nature's Law, and used this as a guide for not only personal behavior, but how society must apply this connection while constructing its foundation:  "For these virtues originate in our natural inclination to love our fellow-men, and this is the foundation of justice."  In other words, and returning to The 5000 Year Leap for an assist -- " ...the glue which holds a body of human beings together in the commonwealth of a just society is love -- love of God; love of God's great law of Justice; and love of one's fellow-men which provides the desire to promote true justice among mankind."

From Jerusalem -- we simply find the basis  to every thing under heaven; choosing to believe in a faith of Something Greater than ourselves, or not -- it is another choice we make; in the simplest of terms, the commonwealth that became America started at the very beginning, applying The Ten Commandments as the very foundation of our system of laws, individually and collectively.

We are a nation intended to be designed -- and manufactured in the great USA -- of independent people, not of a people totally dependent upon Uncle Sam, or the Democratic party, to fulfill all our dreams....for we all know how that ends, right; it ends -- within twelve years quite possibly --  with an equal sharing of misery.  badump ba

about that State of the Union ....whether it happens on Tuesday, or  not, we all pretty much have an idea of what the state of the union is.  And it may be widely different, depending upon the politics of the person and direction of the conversation.

Yesterday was Book Club with my ladies.

The book:  Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans, by Brian Kilmeade and Don Yaeger.

But the conversation was such that this girl was able to grasp a smidgen of the grand scheme of things, and came away, not only wanting to read the book -- but also having an even wider view than I already had of just how often history repeats itself.

Often, in today's political climate, we hear people say things like, 'we've never been this polarized before' or "we are more divided than we've ever been..." -- and it's like poppycock, our country been here before , and then some, now please pass me the lemonade.

Nothing against our eight grade history teachers, but one of the things greatly lost on perspective  about this war of 1812, is that this war is taught more like a blip on the radar, with other moments hijacking its significance; even it's name comes from only when the war started.  When, in fact, this WAR  of 1812 was a hard fought battle, after hard fought battle, after hard fought battle, against the well-established and organized British Navy (yes, again) and it carried on for years.  

This miracle of New Orleans we speak of, was in the year 1815 -- and it would seem that if it weren't for the masterful tactics and command of General Andrew Jackson, our young country may not have survived, let alone been able to expand to the west of the Mississippi.  And he did it while organizing the not so merry band of misfits --  an unlikely union -- of the only resources and people available.   

And bear in mind, that it was the British -- unaware of the Treaty of Ghent (recognized as Belgium, today) signed at the end of 1814 -- who launched the attack in New Orleans, on January 8, 1815...

And as Brian says, "What the British didn't count on was the power of General Andrew Jackson. A formidable military leader with a grudge against the British and a heart for the common man, he rallied the divided inhabitants of New Orleans, bringing together Frenchmen, Native Americans, freed slaves, pirates, and Kentucky woodsmen."

Not bad for the outsider --  as Jackson was not part of the military elite, having the powers that be in D.C. describing him as "a stubborn and crude westerner."  But, "his troops loved him.  He was fearless in battle, but not reckless" as Brian continues, while giving a brief characterization in a short video on his website.  

Now -- just to be clear -- the issues that led to the War of 1812 was one of great D.C. divide as well; and be that as it may, by the end of the war, the Federalist Party met up with its bitter end, as well.   

This thing we call divide within the union is nothing new.

Just look at how some divisions -- as in,  the forces that conspired to create the perfect storm that led to the Civil War in 1861 -- met up with history, at the corner of courage and cultural shift.

America has met division, has weathered conflict within and without the world, and has seen plenty of polarizing days  -- in political measure -- way more than once or twice -- like, way.

It's how we do things around here, right?

The thing is.....what's changed in a very big way.... the thing that has impacted this division, of all the things we carry, in ways unseen before, IS best described as a cultural breakdown.     

Buttressed by the antics and widespread narratives -- some entirely manufactured --  through the left-leaning mainstream, from traditional media to social media, everything gets tilted through the eyes of a liberal lens; and, like, long gone are the days we had to wait for the morning paper --- cue the non-stop streams of buzz, whether true or false.

While at the same time -- a growing fraction of people, who uncharacteristically think of themselves as Americans, are being romanced, totally manipulated, brainwashed, into believing a new green deal, a new wave of socialism rising, is the answer to their every need.   

Socialism is rising in America, and, like, who ever would have thought.  [that is just plum scary stuff]

 

Just Like, I'm increasing the use of the word 'like' just to channel my inner AOC...it's easy to be influenced, like, you know?

It's all just surreal really.

The things that are suddenly becoming acceptable on American soil...

Take for instance, New York.  Please.  

This new bill -- allowing late term abortion all the way up the due date?  And celebrating it?

New York went from legalizing abortion up to 24 weeks...to full term...like, what?

Terminating a baby who has nearly reached full term?   Is this the only answer, or am I crazy?  IF the mother's life is in danger, what happened to delivery by c-section and offering the baby for adoption...that is, if the mother no longer wants the baby?  I just don't get this at all.

Some Americans are celebrating this legislation, while other Americans are in mourning.

Shocked, actually.

Newsflash: not all of us agree on this one.

But perhaps here's a silver lining -- millennials are becoming the generation more aligned with a return to the sanctity of life....huh?   Even though a majority [75%] consider themselves to be "pro-choice" -- the same survey also revealed that 65% believe are "pro-life."   hallelujah

And in a move to be a little more provocative than usual, just before I make my exit, let me just add that Americans seem to LOVE and HATE different things.

Who was marching peacefully for March for Life? 

Who was doing the taunting and screaming of racist chants?  

And who spread flat out lies about both?

Oh this divide...it's called the constant, state of the union; like, our system of checks and balances, our life and times as a republic, is entirely dependent on continuing this kind of divide.

It is real.

And it probably isn't going away anytime soon, if history dictates anything.  Some days are better than others; some days we get to sip a little lemonade under the shade of an apple tree and think good things...and some days, not so much.

It's Just a Good Start Thing

Talking about reaching maturity, whether individually or collectively, this girl is feeling sorta nostalgic on this rather bright and sunny Southern California day; so, on a whim,  a hit on the Day After, above, will link you to my very first blog! This being blog #974... from the serious to nonsensical, suffice it to say, this girl has covered a lot of ground over the last decade; just sayin'.

But oh to God be the Glory that I have lasted this long.  Day in and Day out, altogether it makes 2019 something of a celebratory year.  Traditionally, when referring to years of marriage, the anniversary is marked with gifts of tin or aluminum -- recognizing the resiliency and steadfastness required to make it thus far. So, to put this in perspective -- if this blog keeps producing 'til July 23rd -- I will have surpassed my marital devotion by a whole six months.   Now there's a new years resolution to write home about, eh?

It's about Making Everything Around Me Beautiful Thing

Dear America,

just ordered her book off of Amazon Smile for 2.60, plus shipping; the Daughters of the American Revolution gets .5% of it...but what even is that at POINT five percent?  Not much.

Elsie died in 1950; thinking the only real value remaining from The House in Good Taste (published in 1913), will be revealed in its pages, given the era of the day. and doncha know that this girl is so excited to read it...

Elsie is also quoted as saying, "Good taste can be developed in anyone, just as surely as good manners are possible to anyone.  And good taste is as necessary as good manners."  Figures she would say something like that, considering she is often attributed as the "First Lady" of  AMERICAN interior design.  She valued the development, the time, the creative spirit, the importance, of a house in good taste -- and she truly wanted to teach others to feel and do and make a house beautiful just the same.

And, like many things of value institutionalized in America -- according to Elsie, this certain penchant for designing a house in good taste was an equal opportunity endeavor; but, of course, it is!   Surely, a house of good taste is as achievable as good manners -- and we all know how this country is simply overflowing with the abundance of good manners.

Let us not get stuck on the prevalence of please and thank you's about town; but let us return to the Elsie's lovely purpose in life -- making everything around her beautiful.   Indeed, she says, "that will be my life."

Breathing it in further, I wonder how Elsie would feel if I seized upon her golden rule as my own?  We can share it, can't we, Elsie?

If you really think about it -- besides nearly feeling this sweet sentiment elegantly flowing from her lips while standing in the foyer of some grand American palace that she called home -- what a concept it is, eh?  To go about one's day with the intention of simply leaving beautiful footprints as to where we've been... oh what a beautiful world we would have.

From the beautiful things we would speak of, and say, to one another; to the beautiful expressions of service we would freely give to one another; to the beautiful rooms, and schools, and offices, of every building about town, that would be beautifully transformed by our lofty objective to make every person, place, or thing we come in contact with all the more beautiful, inside and out.

The thing is, given the vicious news cycle of the last year, the snarky grumblings to the vitriolic outbursts on social media, of things in the macrocosm basically growing less and less beautiful every living breathing day in America -- coming to this realization in the microcosm, of the beautification of things, seems a worthy ambition, and dare I say, even very doable and attainable.  As in, this will be my life from this moment forward.

It's worth a shot, right?

My world according to me, G  -- my girl, my boys, my family/my circle, my community, my country -- is worth every bit of this intention, so help me God.

And just in case this girl is not back before the end of 2018 (who really knows at this point...honestly, I would give it a POINT  five percent of a chance, but we will have to wait and see, won't we)....my Christmas wish from one and to all is to let this be the call to call your own into the new year, too...

Make everything around you beautiful.

Whether on the settee, the chaise, the sectional that fits a family of six, or that age-old recliner that smells of forty years of football -- let this sit with you, permanently leaving an impression in the cushions and begging the question:   is what you are about to say or do going to make this America a more beautiful place, or no?

[And here's looking at you, House of Representatives...the White House...and not to feel left out, that illegal room addition, also known as the Senate...Speaking of which, this piece of news is entertaining...we have to talk more about this in the new year, even though this girl has made the point umpteen times before:  the Senate was originally designed to be the voice of the STATE!!!! It was not meant to be representative of the voice of the people!!!   Fareed is an fareeking idiot!!!  Oops...and in an instant, there goes my beautiful blahhhhhhhg....Anywho.... thankfully, Fareed is making the founders' point!  In no uncertain terms, America must return to the olden days when each state legislature elected their own state Senators, in order to argue the needs and best interests of each state!  The founders didn't create a congress to have a House of Representatives next door to the House of Senators.  Um.  that would be just plum stupid, or maybe the shade is more eggplant...Elsie?]

Okay, so I should not have called Fareed a fareeking idiot; I'll keep working on cleaning up my beautiful mouth.

Until then, it's pretty much not so simple after all; but, as a foundation to live by, there is nothing too ornate, phony, contrived about it.  In my book, it is simply an ideal that belongs here, like black and white parquet floors, and ferns, lots and lots of ferns, all happily living next door with the exceptional standards of America, the Beautiful, in every possible way.  It is worthy, based solely on the merits; and the value....priceless.

May all of you beautiful people find yourselves surrounded by the beautiful people you love this beautiful Christmas, and may our Beautiful and Glorious God bless us every one.

It's Dropping F Bombs like Faith and Family Thing

and his people-- those people leaning left -- are not happy.

It plays a role. Our kids need that moral structure in their lives. And we cannot be scared to have this conversation."

and even though all that he said is well and good, like, very good -- he was immediately lambasted for blaming the victims.

and it's like, what the fluff?

Can't his critics understand that if we raise good citizens right from the start, the majority of people reaching adulthood would never steer towards a life of crime, drugs, prostitution, and gangs.  Gangs are only attractive to the kids who do not get what they need at home; every time a gang banger has been interviewed, all I have ever heard is how the gang filled a need inside, that it provided the family, the support, and a life, that he never had.

And Rahm here, is speaking of this grand and taboo subject, and is absolutely, without a shred of doubt, spot on.  And more important, his people know it.

It doesn't take money to grow children of character.

It takes a committed set of parents who understand and embrace the huge responsibility to teach our children well...to be good role models themselves, to praise and encourage good behavior, to ensure they do their homework, to spend quality time together, to go to church together, to read books together, to have dinner together, to care about each other....all together, like a family, every single day.

Shari Runner, former president and CEO of the Chicago Urban League, deemed the remarks insensitive. "I cannot see the victims of racist policies and bigoted practices shamed by anyone who says they need to do better or be better in their circumstance. I won’t accept it,” Runner said

Kwame Raoul, a Democratic state senator who is running for Illinois attorney general, took a similar view. “I think for the mayor to make a generalization about a community is more than just misspoken," Raoul said, "it's outright wrong,”

THE THING IS, people, he wasn't saying EVERYBODY is IMMORAL; he wasn't saying EVERYBODY is lacking in good character. 

HE was speaking of a part of the problem, in his own words, that has grown "politically-incorrect" because it speaks to a core value that is more commonly recognized as an important issue for conservatives.  "Parts of the conversation cannot be off-limits because it's not politically comfortable" does not equate to the whole of the conversation...it is only part of it.  And, apparently, that too, was spot on -- for, as a whole, no one, except perhaps conservatives, paid any attention to the "parts" part.

TO generalize -- and to help us along, shari runner:  every city run by the democrats has major inner city issues; that is just a fact.

Which means, shari runner, when the democrats run things, they reap the results just like every other city in America.

And we reap what we sow, whether we are speaking of our own personal lives, or the lives of an entire community, the country, and the whole of the big wide beautiful world.

Baltimore, since 1947 has had a single Republican mayor and 10 Democratic mayors; For 64 of those 68 years, the city has been run by Democrats. Detroit has had eight Democratic Mayors and no Republicans since 1962 — 53 years. Chicago has had 10 Democrats and no Republicans in 84 years. Philadelphia has had nine Democrats and no Republicans in 63 years St. Louis, similarly has had nine Democratic mayors and no Republicans in 64 years; Boston has had 12 Democrats and no Republicans in 85 years; Los Angeles has had five Democrats and a single Republican in the 54 years. New York, has had 15 different mayors since 1917, nine of whom were Democrats.

Of course, it isn't just Chicago; and really, it isn't even just the inner cities of America.

There is a faith and family problem that extends from sea to shining sea, from purple mountains majesty to valleys wide and deep.  It's just not fair for Rahm to allow Chicago to take all the heat, right?

If we are going to have parts of that conversation, then we might as well go all in...we are, in fact, the United States of America, after all.

America, as a whole, has a faith and family problem -- and the evidence is seen, and unseen, in numerous ways:

• our churches losing its congregations
• our school systems doing away with a moment of prayer or silence at the beginning of the day (and football games)
• our culture, itself, welcoming the total lack of respect for our bodies, fellow human beings, our neighbors and communities
• our family dysfunction through abuses we do to ourselves...like divorce,  incest, addictions to sex and drugs and alcohol
• our obliviousness to the bad influences seeping into our lives to the likes of an environmental disaster, costing us billions of dollars in damages to the mind, body and soul, through film, video, television...letting Hollywood lead us into temptation [this is a fascinating link, by the way]  with our children being its youngest victims.  [Here's a thought, maybe Hollywood should pay to fix up Chicago once and for all, considering they glorify gang violence, free love, bad behavior, guns and robbers, murderers, and the like, every single second of the day...and their leftists too!]
• our own personal dismissal of the importance of keeping a connection with God

Yes, indeed, I did save the best for last...glad you noticed.

For --the truth is --  if we ALL stayed in relationship with God, and made God the center of our world and co-creator of our days, then, dare I say, we wouldn't even be having this conversation, in part or in whole!  We would ALL be lovely spiritual beings having a human experience all over this great country.

But nooooooooooooo  free will leaves many of us without a Supreme reign, and therein lies the rub

Every man woman and child have the same 24 hours a day to guard well the spare moments, and even the ones fully occupied with all that life brings us.  And in a world where I believe there are no accidents, we, as a whole, have chosen a path in modern day America that has led us wholly astray from the things that truly matter....faith and family.

America has lost it's authentic Christianity, and it shows.

let's think about science and the subjective mind for a moment...according to the Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes:

A thoughtful and intimate reflection, upon the life of Stephen Hawking, is worth another moment in time; Michael Guillen -- a learned physicist, himself, having also taught at Harvard -- was given the rare opportunity to not only get to know Hawking... the man, the physicist, the cultural scientific icon of our time, but also, the entire Hawking's family.   

Though short and sweet -- and now realizing that this girl is carrying over the theme of just yesterday, of stunning turnabouts -- what a surprise to find, through my own feeble mindfulness, a softening of my previously, albeit rather coarse, impression of the man.  Thanks to Guillen and his delicate, yet admiral, way of contesting some of Hawking's scientific mumbo-jumbo, the option to stand up against the incredible all-knowingness of a Stephen Hawking is justified, even scientifically supported by other physicists!

Oh the nonsense about this planet not being able to sustain its population for much longer...how one day, in order for mankind to survive, that we would have to seek refuge in other planets....between climate change, over-population, and just humans being human, we are cooked.  End of story.  

In Guillen's words:

"I’ve also pushed back on Hawking’s love-hate relationship with God and religion. Early on, he allowed for the possibility that God exists, but more recently he seemed hellbent on seeking ways for the universe to have created itself. 

That, to me, will always be the grandest paradox of all – that Hawking could readily believe in such far-out ideas as imaginary time and a nothingness that is actually everything, but not the idea that God could possibly exist."

What can it hurt, to contemplate the very planting of the Seed of all Seeds, and more importantly, the SOWER, Itself?

Ahhhhh to Hawking's often limited, highly subjective, sorely human, small mindedness -- God had no place in the universe of all creation...neither cause or effect... neither soil or seed...nor Original and Immortal and Infinite and Everlasting Thought.  Though neither elevated nor denied, It -- GOD -- was left totally abandoned in the great scheme of our human existence, according to the great physicist who lived a life without receiving one Nobel Prize.

But make no mistake, it was Hawking, led by his own subjectivity, marking the lines of limitation and separation.  It was Hawking, the man, who led with the making of God's role being inessential and insignificant, almost trivial.   Which makes me wonder right about now if anything has changed, since meeting his mortal end just yesterday...

And to the chatter about Hawking's timing -- dying upon what we call Pi day, celebrating the mystery between circumferences and diameters, of circles to infinity and beyond (3.14) -- isn't the Universe's sense of humor rather amusing.   Hawking is officially IN  infinity and beyond, right now...and surely his Maker is forgiving, loving, and most pleased with every ounce of courage and determination and strength of resistance against the frail and failing human body Hawking had come to know and reckon with in his everyday life; in spite of what Hawking may or may not think of God, he is still a child of God.

The thing is, believers of a God actually believe certain things to be True; believers live by faith, the unseen,  and not by sight.   And if one is a believer, then none of the things Hawking says of the death to the planet, the end of civilization as we know it, and the need for the colonization of other planets, has life nor breath to it.  For God so loved the world, He gave his only Son....

There will be a time for a second coming.
There will be a time for a revelation.
There will be a time for a rapture.
There will be a time for a gathering of souls ---  of whosoever truly believed -- and they will be saved by the Grace of God.
God will not allow the earth to be totally destroyed -- for it is a promise.

But of course, The Left would have us believe that all of that runs counter-intuitive, counter-productive,  to what the planet is telling us, to what global alarmists preach to us, and to what the global political elitists have in mind for us, albeit down the one-world-government-yellow-brick road; all the while, replacing God with a dependency on mankind, big government, and the powers that be.

Cultural propaganda is what seems to be winning these days.

I do like how Guillen finishes --

"Despite my disagreements with him, however, I am deeply, deeply saddened by his passing. The universe seems a bit quieter to me this morning because of his absence. And a bit darker, as if someone has snuffed out a bright supernova."

To which my natural reply is easily this: perhaps there is another switch?
As in a Switch of all Switches, a Light of all Lights, a SuperNova of all SuperNovas....
surely, it couldn't hurt to look, let alone believe there is ONE.  But the thing is -- you must start out, at the very least, believing in the possibility that there is One.

Being purely objective, teehee....perhaps Hawking's subjective mind was rooted in a fault, a false premise, a separation between soil and seed that resulted in one big fat void of all voids.

This little light of mine is not afraid to kindle that charge.

It's All About who the Real Enemy of the State IS Thing

if you could invite anyone over for dinner, dead or alive, how would you fill a table of twelve?

My list continues to be tweaked --  but this guy, Cleaver -- oh he is now sitting just to my right.

It's an American story -- of a major flip flop, of nearly unimaginable proportions!  If the story was told on Fox News, and Fox News only,  more than likely, half of the viewership -- the liberals --  would believe the report to be untrue.  Correction -- the masses leaning to the left would never even hear about it, for they would never see it, being a bunch of never Trumper's let alone Fox News viewers; and falling victim to the mainstream media's general practice of selective truth-telling, the story would never be told on CNN, or ABC, or CBS, or (MS)NBC, simply because this narrative from commie to conservative doesn't fall in line with the leftist movement, mindset, or agenda.

Eldridge Cleaver went from being an imprisoned and violent Black Panther, a lover of communism,  an unconscionable, unrepentant rapist, to a man reborn in every possible way; from growing a personal faith a relationship with God through Christianity, from being a fully repentant and restored ex-con, from breaking all ties to his sordid past and becoming a conservative republican before he died, to his credit and tenacity, Cleaver flipped upon everything he was and became a brand new man. And a better man, at that.

What a fascinating conversation heaven must be having right about now, perhaps over plates of food served family style.

Which makes me wonder, what in the world is Jeff Flake thinking?  Is he that desperate for people to approve of him, like him,  as he seemingly leads with the hope that people come to believe he must be the smartest congressman in the room?  Comparing Trump to Stalin?  Seriously?

A free press can only be the guardian of democracy when it actually tells the truth, the whole truth, Jeff Flake, emphasis on flake.

The press is an "enemy of the people" when the press holds a tyrannical hold on what is true and what is not, or what is told and what is not, be it from facts (like a doctor's report) to pure fiction (can you say dossier?); you would have to be deaf dumb and blind not to see the overwhelming bias of the mainstream media, leading with a certain narrative no matter the mainstream news channel you choose -- any sign of objectivity, supported by facts, are trumped with utter nonsense. every minute of every day.

But it is good that you said what you said, Jeff; for it tells me that you are doing the right thing with your decision not to run for re-election in Arizona.  This must have been your idea of performing the proverbial swan song....(while the irony runs wide and deep if you understand the falsehoods of the phrase itself....too funny).

In the macro, it's kinda sad that people are so threatened with just the idea of holding different opinions, to be in agreement with disagreeing; but in the micro, how can Jeff Flake not see it?  The mainstream media IS tweaking the truth; it IS withholding facts to protect the Left; it IS portraying this administration as being led with a president on the edge of sanity, a dimwit, a racist...all of which are untrue...How can Jeff not see it?  To have this kind of cray cray come from someone from the right, just makes all this so hard to swallow.

Now, Barack Obama, I can understand --

than you are if you are listening to NPR.”

But in reality -- Obama's feelings about Fox News and conservative outlets were not a secret.  Every chance he got, Obama would chide the conservative media, especially hitting the so-called "untruths" of Fox, including, and continually, knocking it's ignorant viewership.

It IS a good thing that "too much agreement kills a chat," right? (I just LOVE this line from Cleaver so much.) 

Unlike the Libs, or flake-y so-called conservatives, I dig this kind of disagreement.  I love the art of a damn good discussion, in every civilized and uncivilized way.

And really, weaving the knocks against media together in equal portion whether  Left or Right -- how is it not evident (to Jeff and anyone else)  just how both presidents, past and present, seem to cling to their own definition of  "fake news."  For Obama -- fake news is, and always will be, that which comes via Fox News, and any other conservative website, for that matter.  For Trump -- fake news is the mainstream media.

And this is what makes this soooooo wrong.  For the mainstream is supposed to just say the news -- bias, narratives, re-story telling, critiquing, judging, taking sides, is simply not cool.  Democracy dies in darkness AND under the glaring light of bias.

The thing is:  Trump is at war with the Left leaning liberal media; but not to worry -- he saw it coming.  And more important, he is not afraid.  (Hence, one of the main differences between Trump and all sixteen of his republican challengers in the 2016 election.)

Jeff not only needs to grow a pair, he needs to wake up to the obvious, so predictable, rather innocuous ridicule that knocks and rocks media outlets both ways.  And then Jeff just needs to go away. 

It's pretty harmless, these jabs, either left or right, against all or part of the media; but to put Trump in the same group as a Stalin for it?  Then honestly, Flake, you must then do the same with Obama. 

How unfair, sophomoric really, that a republican like Jeff Flake -- a guy who clearly doesn't like Trump, let alone respect the voters who put Trump in office --  does not see fit to give Trump a fair shake (it's gotta be personal by now, just sayin).

There is a long list where the MEDIA gets it wrong:

Trump does not have dementia.
Trump did not collude with the Russians to win the election.
Trump did not sell Uranium to the Russians, using a private foundation for cover, along with a little help from the state department.
Trump did not orchestrate a downright lying piece of propaganda from Fusion GPS, and use it to gain unlawful warrants, etc  etc
Trump did not store confidential government documents using an unprotected, non-government private server....
Trump didn't cover up a terror attack at Benghazi, blaming it on a video...and go off to a fund raiser the very next day (not even being in the room when the sh** was going down...! Obama had to get his sleep.)
shall I go on?  Because I can.
We haven't even mentioned the roaring economy, all thanks to Trump, a new tax code, and within his first year.  bada bing bada boom.

Oh, but Trump might need to lose 10 to 15 pounds, there is that; but other than that, Trump is physically and mentally all there, what a shame for the left leaning mainstream media, who wish the guy would just have a heart attack already and die.  Truth be told, Trump has been living a pretty  healthy life (having not touched alcohol or cigarettes or street drugs his entire life) and is in peek health for his age.  His doctor thinks a fair share of good genes has contributed...

Will this report put the nonsense to bed?  Will this finally end the non-stop disparaging remarks towards the president's mental health and ability to control red buttons and crazy communist leaders large and small? Nope.

It won't change a thing.
As the left leaning mainstream media has decidedly colluded.

Trump is correct.  The mainstream media IS an enemy of the state, and all the while, only the educated voter is aware --- all the rest of the public is simply jumping on board and drinking kool-aid.

So to conclude the news on the day -- Flake is an idiot.  A self-promoting, RINO-whining, s$%&storm shooting, fraud who has merely fallen victim to his never-Trumper, mainstream media ass-kissing, f@&^ his  constituents, heart of hearts.  He has no understanding of the games Trump plays.

It's been twenty years since Eldridge Cleaver walked the earth; but surely he would have made a better congressman than Flake any day of the week.
