It's All Pageantry Thing

Dear America,

you know what...
people need to stop and pay attention to The Donald -- and mind you, not in a good way.

As much as many of Americans find his grandiose ideas on immigration and 'making America great again' awfully refreshing, let me assure you -- he is Trouble with a capital T.

Want to know what a President Trump might do?

Anything he wants -- come hook or by crook, come boot or by loot, come the light of day or the cover of night.

Whether progressive left or progressive right, don't fool yourselves -- it's all bad.

So in the latest news, Trump tells Fox News ".@FoxNews has been treating me very unfairly & I have therefore decided that I won't be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future,"
[thank you, Politico]

awww

waaaah

little old donny booboo cries boohoo and throws a tantrum

And Fox replied:

"At 11:45am today, we canceled Donald Trump’s scheduled appearance on The O’Reilly Factor on Thursday, which resulted in Mr. Trump’s subsequent tweet about his ‘boycott’ of FOX News," the statement reads. "The press predictably jumped to cover his tweet, creating yet another distraction from any real issues that Mr. Trump might be questioned about. When coverage doesn’t go his way, he engages in personal attacks on our anchors and hosts, which has grown stale and tiresome. He doesn’t seem to grasp that candidates telling journalists what to ask is not how the media works in this country.”[again, thank you, Politico]

"When coverage doesn't go his way"....look out.

Let's review:

What happened when NBC cancelled ties with The Donald over his derogatory, yet completely honest, aired opinion about illegal immigrants crossing the border, and thereby ceasing all relations with him and even deciding not to air the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, as well as, replacing The Donald in the reality show, The Apprentice?    Well the Trump party threatened to sue everybody, including Univision, and ending up buying the rights to the Miss Universe organization and all of it's pageantry, entirely.

Tweeting: "Just purchased NBC’s half of The Miss Universe Organization and settled all lawsuits against them. Now own 100% -- stay tuned!"

[AND THEN HE SOLD IT within about a week!]

Do you remember what The Donald asked of CNN just a few weeks before the presidential debate?

"While I refuse to brag, and as you know very well, this tremendous increase in viewer interest and advertising is due 100% to 'Donald J. Trump,'" Trump wrote."I believe that all profits from this broadcast should go to various VETERANS groups, a list of which I will send to you in the near future,"

Nice thought, but really now, telling a company what to do with it's own profits?

And here's a good one:

"I won't take even one dollar. I'm totally giving up my salary if I become president." it's awfully nice, but...

CEO's ....look out:

“It does bug me," Trump said. "It’s very hard if you have a free enterprise system to do anything about that. You know, the boards of companies are supposed to do it, but I know companies very well and the CEO puts in all of his friends...”“You see these guys making these enormous amounts of money, and it’s a total and complete joke,” Trump said....…"We’re going to be reducing taxes for the middle class. But for the hedge fund guys, they’re going to be paying up,”

"It's very hard if you have a free enterprise system to do anything about that"....he says, but when I'm president.....never mind how I profited all through the years...I will fix that.

'Redistribution of Wealth, come to papa,' he might as very well say in his next noxious breath.

The thing is,

America has fallen in love with another hope and change hoax.

Trump is a shyster, just as Barack Hussein Obama is a shyster.

Trump is a manipulator, just as Barack Hussein Obama is a manipulator.

Trump is an American deviant, just as Barack Hussein Obama is an American deviant. [aww, am i being too harsh.....really?  truth bites, doesn't it]

Trump is a user, a pusher, a player, a preacher, a con....yes, just as Barack Hussein Obama is a User, a Pusher, a Player, a Preacher, a Con.

And we are all in Trouble with a Capital T if we continue to be lulled, and mocked, and nudged, and led to believe this Trump guy is anything else but.  His intentions are not pure; he is not fit whether he comes free or scot-free...it's all pageantry.

Stop the nonsense people; stop following along --  or, to put into words more amenable to the prevailing mindset -- move on dot org.

It's Revelations of the Natural Law of Things

Dear America,

Find Something
You Would Die For
and Live For It

So hello,
it's mourning in America.

Or maybe, this feeling that seems to overshadow everything I do or say,  is just me, little g, still reliving the loss of my baby boo...the best Boston Terrier that ever lived (of course...aside from that day in all of his senility mixed with canine chops caused him to take a chunk out of my cheek).

We rescued him about nine years ago -- but really, it comes down to one of those occasions when asking the question of who rescued who seems quite apropos.

For he was the constant -- that one, brilliant, adorable, playful... sensitive to every whim and fancy of the keepers of his life... brown-nosing, suck up, little thing.  He was the first thing my eyes awoke to, laying sweetly at my feet -- and the last thing my eyes would see before falling fast asleep.  And so here I am, merely a week later -- and my heart has not stopped crying.

Seems like everything reminds me of him; my days begin innocent enough -- and totally unsuspecting, naive even,  of the coming moments that trip me up laying in wait.  And thus begins a viscous, conniving cycle of pounce, attack and recovery all the day long.

But oh thank God there is a time for everything under heaven, right.

For without the ebb and flow of real life and being integrally in touch with the very things that truly matter -- whether those things are perceived as being  negative or positive --  the value, the lessons, the wisdom, would become this elusive creature that would somehow always find it's way to escape our grasp.  And what a loss on top of a loss that would be,

There is a time to be born and a time to die for each one of us.

There is a time to weep and a time to laugh.

There is a time to mourn and a time to dance.

There is a time to be silent and a time to speak.

Above all -- there IS always, in all ways,  a reason for the season!   And what an error of our ways it would be to miss it!

And there is something to be said for that, today, this mourning -- in America.

Here we are, smack dab in the middle of "a time to tear down and a time to build"
that looks an awful lot like a divided country. Upon one side, we have countrymen intent on tearing apart the American culture bit by bit, and on the other, countrymen intent on rebuilding from the foundation put in place over two hundred years ago, from every cornerstone, complete with Columbus Days, Christmas vacations, guns in our holsters, and, in a manner of speaking, Bibles on our desk at work (if we so choose to exercise that Constitutional right!).

It's simple things really.

And we are at a cross roads, plain and simple.

We could all just sit back and pretend America isn't falling apart at the seams and drink whisky till the cows come home all on their own, OR,

we can pull up our bootstraps and get down and dirty and do something.  Maybe even be so bold as to SAY something.  To say something kinda like a certain presidential candidate Ben Carson might say...

Because you know -- there was nothing wrong with his response.  NOTHING.

For more details, allow me to send you to one of my favorite places in the whole wide world -- The Patriot Post.

For in there, Paul Albaugh also sends us to a post by Andrew McCarthy for National Review, where McCarthy makes merry of many a fine points, including this:

Why is that important to grasp? Because in the West, we recognize a division between the spiritual realm and political life – a division reflected in our Constitution. Mainstream Islam recognizes no such separation. While Islam unquestionably has tenets that we would recognize as religious in nature (e.g., the oneness of Allah), it is also teeming with rules that control law, governance, the economy, military affairs, social life, hygiene – virtually everything we see as the realm of politics and self-determination.

I wonder if Chuck Todd would have the guts to ask the president of Iran -- Hassan Rouhani -- if perhaps, the next time he is running for re-election -- his thoughts on whether a president's faith matters?  Would Iran welcome a Christian to run their country?  Is that something they would be open to, with or without the chant "death to America" as a campaign slogan?   Moreover, does Chuck Todd have a clue as to how incompatible and dangerous just one fundamentalist Muslim at the helm of the United States might just be?  (I say that laughing in my head hysterically.)

Sharia Law, and all that it's cracked up to be, and the American way -- fully protected by our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, our Federal Laws and trickling down even further into our local and state laws and regulations,  are NOT aligned.   It's as if we are talking apples and oranges....weeping and laughing, planting and uprooting, mourning and dancing....you get my drift.

Ben said:
“It depends on what that faith is. If it’s inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter.” He added that he “would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation.”

The entire Middle East is basically on fire -- is there anyone who really believes putting a Muslim in charge of America is just what the doctor ordered?  Look how they run countries!    Look at how the little people of those countries live!  Look at the Christian refugees running for their lives!   Look at the disparity between rich and poor, the powerful and the powerless!   "Death to America" -- who says that?  The Middle East, Iran in particular,  and the Middle Ages, seem to have just so much in common.   Dust to dust, it's all crazy.

I have had an "I'm With Ben" sticker on my back windshield since about May.  And it's staying right where it is.

You see -- we are lucky in America.

America grew organically from Natural Law, the natural order of things endowed by something far greater than any president, mullah, king, emperor or any other government authority.  Men are endowed with CERTAIN unalienable rights by their Creator.   And the founders were clear with what that meant:  "those rights, they believed, came directly and exclusively from God." [The 5000 Year Leap]

...Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws.  On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws [for the protection of them] in the first place, (Frederic Bastiat, The Law...The Foundation for Economic Education, and quoted in The 5000 Year Leap)
America chose not to have a NATIONAL RELIGION for precisely this reason.   For who are we, as a nation,  to tell someone what to believe, or how to practice one's faith, or force someone to pray a certain way, or what have you.    It is an individual freedom to have and to hold   -- or not.

God's Natural Law covered it all, so to speak.  It clarified our duty and delight to follow a path, individually and with every intent and high hopes, collectively, that could not be surpassed and based almost entirely, and with great certain, innumerable and timeless, golden rules; certainly something our founders, given the cultural climate,  felt no need to articulate in words.  For the Natural Law of things revealed itself in the every day; and more than that, people tried their Sunday best to follow them, while we designed our government around IT (again, not the other way around).

Things like our duty to be honest in our transactions; for children to honor their mother and father; the duty to become economically self-sufficient; the duty to maintain integrity of the family structure; the duty to be humble -- temperate -- and keeping to a high moral standard, both privately and publicly.   And so on.    One could only hope....

Who'd a thought we would actually have to write some of this stuff down for the pending doom and gloom of a quiz later, right (i.e. the ignorant and uninformed to come).   Maybe the expectations have been set just a wee bit too high...

This morning, and in my mourning of all things mounting in my little world, I embrace a time, a season, not to tear down but to BUILD.  To build upon the character God put inside me and go forth.

I'm not only with Ben, I am with great confidence trusting in the Divine Providence that started it all.

Seasons come and go; but faith lives on forever.  (And this one's for you baby boo xoxo miss you, darling)

It's Adversaries of the Constitution Thing

Dear America,

the whole thing kinda makes me sick to my stomach...

what were they thinking?

Announcing, upon the very eve of 9/11, that we are going to take in 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year.

Is this with, or without, the people's consent?

"The fabric of American empire
ought to rest on the solid basis
of THE CONSENT OF THE PEOPLE.
The streams
of national power ought to flow
 immediately from that pure,
original fountain
of all legitimate authority."

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers

Or how about this one, from James Madison:

"The adversaries of the Constitution seem to have lost sight of the PEOPLE altogether in their reasoning on this subject; and to have viewed these different establishments not only as mutual rivals and enemies, but as uncontrolled by any common superior in their efforts to usurp the authorities of each other.  These gentlemen must here be reminded of their error.  They must be told that the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY, wherever the derivative may be found, RESIDES IN THE PEOPLE ALONE."  (The 5000 Year Leap, Skousen, quoting Madison, Federalist Papers, Skousen added the emphasis)

and how...
for "the adversaries of the Constitution" reign supreme in the house that Divine Providence built.

Just where, oh where, is the proper flow of a just government?  A process fully intended to be seen bubbling up, with a certain effervescence of individual liberty and power, through the fundamental, elusive, organic channels of that "pure, original fountain of all legitimate authority."

Seventy-Five percent of the American PEOPLE are against this thing called the Iran Nuclear Deal.   While to that end -- it is in fact A TREATY -- and as such, it is REQUIRED to go through CONGRESS for approval;  but no -- the Democrats have shut down the process entirely.   That's what was voted on yesterday; the Senate DEMOCRATS voted to NOT bring this unconscionable arrangement of monumental lunacy to a vote.

While, even if we were to call it just some kind of  random act of idiocracy  -- made with terrorists, mind you -- then all the more the reason congress must be given ALL the information, including side deals in order to legitimize any of it.

And yet, upon this day -- ever mindful of the crime against America made 14 years ago this morning -- let us be grateful it is NOT a treaty; for the next president can just say, no -- and on behalf of the American people, go nuclear and tear it up.

Today is all about the "adversaries of the Consitution" --

So, here we are -- this administration, or dare I say one man, is deciding for the rest of us;  the executive office has spoken, and again,  unapologetic-ally upon the eve of 9/11, the outrageous extension of our commitment to meet the Middle East half way has been declared (and then some).

Effective immediately, we are not only opening the floodgates to America by way of southern invasion, and in the process burying the American people financially even more through the massive flow of undocumented, illegal, lawless, illiterates -- but NOW, now we are taking on Syrian "refugees,"  and by virtue of coming to the aid of a catastrophic humanitarian need [man-made by the way by Obama himself !!!!] open ourselves up to God only knows.   [THREEEEE REAAAALLY GOOD LINKS THERE THERE and THERE]

Borders?   What borders?
Terrorists?  What terrorists?

President Obama might as well be saying:

Well, if the American people continue to cling to their beliefs, their traditions, even their g-d-holidays -- then by all means -- let's just change the demographics in order to meet up with the progressive goals of a new world order [one that includes a smack down of the American people, their way of life, their beliefs, their self-reliance, their liberty, their entire country, if that's what it takes...who really gives a flying f@$&].
From Constitutional Lawyer, Professor, Authority... to President Chief-Adversary-of the- Constitution Obama.   It only took seven years -- with the American people watching in cheers or jeers, all depending upon which side of lady liberty you sit.

"Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer. If it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us; it cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide."

Now -- from one president to another to another --  HE  was one of America's very best:   Abraham Lincoln.

So -- here we are -- upon the anniversary of an horrific attack against America, and all Americans for which she stands, and we open our sovereign borders, our way of life, our security, our livelihoods, our sacred honor, to pure evil.

Who needs to bring in "an army" when you have people -- people with every intent to do harm on America?

...People with intent to take advantage, of America....

...People with intent to change, disrupt, and hardly assimilate with the ideals of this beautiful country, America....

...People with intent to usurp every Constitutional authority, and process thereof, while exercising their unsanctioned right to wreak havoc upon America.

This is where we are today.

Whether South American, Mexican, Syrian, Iranian --  or even a Sitting President --  it's all the same.

They are ALL adversaries of the Constitution.

But worse --  they seem to appear to have the consent of the people, when in fact, they don't.

It's a sad day all the way around.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Is the Pope Catholic?...and other Things

Dear America,

so,
Is the Pope Catholic?

... beginning the year of mercy, for abortion

...beginning to "embrace" the divorced

...beginning to make annulment cheaper, easier

What's left?
Wonder what would happen if he declared a year of mercy for murder, homicide, the taking of a life of another?

But he doesn't stop there, now does he?

Now please don't misconstrue, the list might as well be written in stone, for most of them make a whole lot of common sense.  Especially that one that says, "We are not God. The earth was here before us and it has been given to us" .....The point being, Be Humble.

exactly.

But,
"We know that technology based on the use of highly polluting fossil fuels  -- especially coal, but also oil and, to a lesser degree, gas -- needs to be progressively replaced without delay," so speaketh the big guy.

Love the use of the word "progressively" there; that really hits a sweet sun spot, no?

Of course, we recently opined on the president's nature walk in Alaska....you know, to prove the Exit Glacier is melting right before our eyes...you know, all because of the evil use of fossil fuels. [Here's another good "Climate Change" read for a quick refresher course on my point of a couple days ago.]

Going back to a post @ CNN, in March, in regards to the planned visit between the Supreme Being One and Supreme Being Two coming up, it was noted:

Obama has often expressed his admiration for the Pope's ability to call attention to issues including income inequality, even while admitting they disagree on certain social issues.

To which I have to mutter to myself, do they?

C'mon,  They seem to be cut of the same cloth; it's as if Obama is not just a Christian anymore, he's as good as Catholic as anyone else.

However, a Cardinal with mid-western, Wisconsin roots begs to differ with what we might as well call one thing, the Supremes (of no direct relation to the Supreme Court of these fine United States...that is, yet) --   Cardinal Raymond Burke has thrown caution into the winds of the Vatican, saying:

“One must be very attentive regarding the power of the pope...The pope does not have the power to change teaching [or] doctrine.”

Unless, of course you believe in a certain kind of Hope and Change doctrine -- one that reigns supreme, perhaps at a place that is "under God" but above mankind -- and goes forth, progressively, steadfastly, indoctrinating the malleable, with a force of nature so great, who would dare not agree?

Now taking a cue from an email muse over the weekend, if Christians -- currently holding at about 70% of the population in America...which means, amounting roughly to 220 million people -- were to commandeer the vote come 2016, the direction of the country, and thereby quite possibly the rest of the world, could immediately, in my humble opinion, make way for a certain reformation for the new, new ages.   And how magnificent might that be for every little child of God, for rich or for poor!

What's wrong is this clear intent to take us back to the dark ages, with the help of the Pope, no less -- to a time when the oppressed stayed oppressed, a time when one's class, one's place in society, one's ability to create wealth and pursue happiness was thwarted by all things elitist...big government,  big church, economic controls, crony capitalism, outrageous regulations, and so on and so on, creating the very conditions that hinder true liberty and freedom for all.   [And how crazy is it that the Free Exercise of Religion gets ironically thrown out, too!]

Is this really where we want to go?    Seriously?

Remember how much power the early Catholic church had?  Do you?
Remember how much power the Church of England had, circa Just Before America Made History?  Do you?

Or how about the power of Islam, of Mohammed, and what people are willing to do for him to this day?

Remember the image of a certain man, who, while vying for position of President of the United States, came on stage looking like a god?

He got the nod and nomination from the Democrats and set foot on the stage as if he truly was America's one       last       great       hope.

After the writing was on the wall on behalf of his bride, Bill Clinton was asked to say a few words at the temporary, man-made temple of the up and coming leader:

"I say to you: Barack Obama is ready to lead America and restore America's leadership in the world" and adding, "People have always been more impressed by the power of our example then by the example of our power."
Today, this administration -- this power --  all goes by way of the climate change argument -- it's a power manufactured out of thin air, it's facts and details contrived for public sway and amusement, it's methods contemptuous in the pure redistribution of wealth and power, it's divisiveness thoroughly malicious, and continues relentlessly, mocking the laws of nature and man, fully engaged to create a new world order, And now, perhaps, complete with the Pope's blessing.

If I didn't believe that this is all part of a grand plan, then perhaps a long walk off a short pier might just be the next step.

But I am not afraid; nor weary; nor disillusioned; nor lost.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Being One More Rainfall Away Thing

Dear America,

here's a good one....

“I will say, just on principle,
the success of our democracy
depends on the rule of law,
and there is no public official
that is above the rule of law,”
according to the White House
press secretary
Josh

Earnest is as Earnest does.

he he he
happy fried-day, everybody.

What a week, eh?

What a week.

I love the part about "just on principle" --  as if, if it were to stand alone in a crowd like the idiot savant, people just might pay attention and pay their respect if placed on a pedestal....otherwise, it just moves around among us as if nobody gives a flying rat's ass most days.

yeah, we can have a Federal law that makes smoking pot illegal, in principle, as well as under the rule of law, and completely look the other way every single day...

yeah, we can have Federal Immigration Law on the books, unchanged through the legal measures in Congress, and continue to have sanctuary cities, along with rampant lawlessness of undocumented, illegal "immigrants" crossing our southern border, and look the other way...  No -- even better -- have a sitting president just stand up and say WE are just going to ignore what the law says, and by Executive Order usurp the law in every way, paving the way in gold for millions of illegals to come to America and immediately gain fortune upon the shoulders of every hard working American taxpayer.

yeah, and we can even have a law, fully intended to support traditional marriage  (1996 -  Defense of Marriage Act)   and have the Supreme Court alter the law, rewrite the law, along with having a president stand up and simply say, yeah WE are not going to do that anymore.    Congress has not re-written the law, by law.

yeah, and in comparison  -- let's look to what is protected by our First Amendment rights:

Burning the flag is protected.  (wiki law, here)
According to the Supreme Court you can burn the flag according to the law that protects the freedom of speech -- and yet, by that same law, a person who is exercising a certain freedom of religion is received with vitriol, virtually marked with a scarlet letter and hung in town's square for all to throw stones, while secretly wishing a good burning at the stake was still an option.

You know, Kim Davis had her job first.  [Hey, and thank God she is a registered Democrat, am I right, or we would never hear the end of it...]

Should our president be held in contempt for the middle finger he's got up against our nation's immigration laws, positioning himself squarely ABOVE the Law?

Should Hillary Clinton be jailed -- like, yesterday -- for being ABOVE the Law -- in principle and all -- while Secretary of State, in the unconscionable keeping of her own server -- which is totally ILLEGAL as secretary --  and moreover, using it to transmit censored, classified information in good company with her decisions on bridesmaids dresses, wedding photographers, and cake makers?   Seriously?

Should the entire upper echelon of Planned Parenthood -- hell, maybe even the entire organization --be held accountable for being ABOVE the Law and breaking FEDERAL Law with the selling of baby body parts, and be jailed right now, with no grace period whatsoever -- being held in contempt for every part sold on the market?

But now we are just getting carried away, huh.

The thing is -- CONGRESS writes the LAW; Congress giveth the law and only the congress can taketh away.  That -- in principle anyway -- is the law.

We do not WRITE law through the Supreme Court -- or in any court, for that matter.

The Court's sole purpose is to tell us what actions are according to the law and punish any actions, and all actions,  that go against the law, including deciding the Constitutionality of the law, and actions, thereof.  That's it.

Technically, there is no Federal Law on Gay marriage; there is only the opinion of the Supreme Court that we can no longer discriminate against it nah nah nana nah.   And now congress must write the law to support it.

But what up,
what up with the discrimination that squares face to face with a citizen's religious freedom -- and the FREE EXERCISE thereof??????!!!!!!

Like Kim said,

“I’m very steadfast in what I believe. I don’t leave my conscience and my Christian soul out in my vehicle and come in here and pretend to be something I’m not. It’s easy to talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?” (Just like she probably wouldn't leave one of her babies alone in the car either, ba dump bah)...

Is she a perfect Christian?

Doesn't matter.

As a matter of fact, it goes to every imperfection of man that cries out to a Higher Power for guidance, love, and forgiveness in the every day.

And as it's been told -- she has only been "a believer" for less that five years; she became a soldier for Christ only recently, which then makes a whole lot of sense;  for the born-again Christian, the newbie, the Evangelist of the better-late-than-never-crowd is sometimes the most unrepentant, unapologetic, and most unshaken when sticking out and immediately coming under attack.

The thing is, they are the ones who not only stand out, but stand firm because every living thing under the firmament is brand new and has meaning.  It is current; it is real; it is a Way, the Truth, and the Life, that not only sets they, themselves, personally free, it becomes a ministry.

The problem is we have a Left that chooses NOT to co-exist with this kind of Christian, with this kind of belief.  And not only that, it has united and grown to become a Left which stands fully committed to taking this kind of cultural phenomenon that has long been the cornerstone of America OUT.  And with great pain whenever possible.    "Co-exist" -- yeah right.

Again, do we  really have to go back to a certain Michelle Obama, on the campaign trail in 2008, preaching to us about how our traditions, and holidays, must all change?

"Barack knows that we are going
to have to make sacrifices;
we are going to have to change
our conversation;
we're going to have to change
our traditions,

our history;

we're going to have to move

into a different place

as a nation."

Now, I plucked that quote from an ancient post (2009), written by an up and comer in the conservative world, Glenn Beck, for the Fox News Channel; and it's a great piece in it's entirety, so go here for more.

Earnest is as earnest does.

We didn't really take the Obama's at their word, now did we?

We really didn't want to see it.
[Well, to be perfectly clear -- the G THING saw it coming -- it was black and white! and that's just about the man's character, never the color of his skin, or mine...  But who am I, right?  yeah, here I am, Lord,   Just a girl, her name is Gretchen, happily tapping into the blogosphere since 2009...]

We thought, my God, how in the world....America is untouchable, rooted so firmly in tradition, history, respective of the holidays that come with --- that surely no man is above the law;  what God has joined, men must not divide.

Through America's traditions and history and precedence -- we have made a certain vow (see "wiki vows" here).

Guess which one has become politically correct to put asunder?  [go mob rule, eh?  what are we doing to ourselves....going back to the dark ages?]

I believe there is a secular resolution that can be made, in the same vein that all people can co-exist and live in peace, and truth, and love of their own making, beholden to one's own religion under God.

[And you know, God is of no Gender, so God should be considered really cool under the current hierarchy of  all things social, relate-able, and LIKED on facebook].

AND  I also believe in Religious Liberty and it's free exercise  -- and it is made and written into a real law in America and it is just not acceptable that it be ridiculed and undermined with such contempt; we have one Kim Davis willing to let it all on the line for her God and evidently some people want to shoot her.  This oppression, coming from within America, no less -- and quite possibly, an America that is to be no more...

Perspective
If you want to get a clear picture
of any condition in life,
don't try to see things with
your nose on them!
See them from the highest point,
from the plane of spirit,
and you will be surprised
at how different
your problems look.
White Eagle

But feel free to run out and burn a flag today -- for that seems to be protected more than other things once held in high acclaim, in perfect order of things,  under the First Amendment.... under "the law."

Clearly, the law is on shaky ground; and it's not just in California anymore.  Personal passions set aside --- whether you like Kim Davis, or not --- one more rain fall of ignorance meets bliss and it's a slippery slope into oblivion goes the US of A,

It's About How Much More We Are Willing to Concede Thing

Dear America,

From The Guardian --

Just when you think American politics cannot get weirder, the White House announced that Barack Obama will trek through the Alaskan wilderness with Bear Grylls for an upcoming episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls...
But it fits a pattern. Obama uses unorthodox methods and stunts to project his agenda...
Indeed.

And talk about patterns?

Should we discuss the many mini ice ages?   Or a time when the planet Earth was nearly covered in ICE many millions of years ago, running into a pattern three to four times over?  Or perhaps demand that all 7 billion of us go back to school, to perhaps the sixth grade, to discover the essential elements of the earth and plant growth fully dependent upon CO2, deriving a pattern of the natural give and take of oxygen and CO2 that becomes almost like a daily occurrence -- and a pattern of necessity me thinks?  Has anyone watched the pattern of ice coverage over the are of the Great Lakes, given fluctuations in the natural, in winter, a season that comes and goes, kinda like summer?  Or how about we just take a gander at the pattern of the many embarassing predictions of an Al Gore and his bevy of Global Warming Fanatics?  How about the patterns of using fear and hysteria of all things now generally assumed as "man-made" Climate Change to move bergs of mankind, for political expediency and gain -- if not also to topple America off it's high horse, right Obama?

Here's a really good read from Forbes,

The Period Of No Global Warming Will Soon Be Longer Than the Period of Actual Global Warming

[Now, it was written a year and half ago, so bear that in mind.]

But let's return to the smartest president we have ever had and hear directly from the Authority-and -Theory of Everything-in-Chief:

"This is as good a signpost of what we're dealing with on climate change as just about anything," Obama told reporters waiting at the base of the glacier.

Here's another quote that begins to make heads and tails out of it all, falling into the same honor of never letting an agenda disaster or someone's idiotic hide go to waste; it's pulled from the "Embarrassing Predictions" article (from 2014, linked above), citing within the section titled, "Pentagon Climate Forecasts, " a follow up question in the Washington Times goes to Doug Randall for an explanation for such a great disparity in reality over the last decade, and he says:

“When you are looking at worst-case 10 years out, you are not trying to predict precisely what’s going to happen but instead trying to get people to understand what could happen to motivate strategic decision-making and wake people up,” Randall said. “But whether the actual specifics came true, of course not. That never was the main intent.”
Exactly.

And thanks for the honesty, Doug.

"...[T]o motivate strategic decision-making and wake people up,"  he says, "whether the actual specifics came true...that never was the main intent."

The sideshow going on up in America's upper one -- you know, in the context of the settled science of the lower 48 -- by the O-so-High-One, himself -- proves to be nothing more than another scandalous fraud at the foot of Denali.

It's all about the strategy to create the very conditions  on the ground to warrant the policy changes from On High that The Left deems vital, leading America into energy decisions, economic decisions, quality of life decisions, inhospitable to a growing, abundant, free-enterprising, upwardly mobile, capitalist-friendly, market.

So in hopes of ending this day, rather abruptly -- (what can I say, some days are just better than others) -- let's go to Henry David Thoreau, from deep within his essay on Civil Disobedience:

No man with a genius for legislation has appeared in America.  They are rare in the history of the world.  There are orators, politicians, and eloquent men, by the thousand; but the speaker has not yet opened his mouth to speak who is capable of settling the much-vexed questions of the day.  We love eloquence for its own sake, and not for any truth which it may utter, or any heroism it may inspire.  Our legislators have not yet learned the comparative value of free-trade and of freedom, of union, and of rectitude, to a nation.  They have no genius or talent of comparatively humble questions of taxation and finance, commerce and manufacturers and agriculture.  If we were left solely to the wordy with of legislators in Congress for our guidance, uncorrected by the seasonable experience and the effectual complaints of the people, America would not long retain her rank among nations.  For eighteen hundred years, though perchance I have no right to say it, the New Testament has been written; yet where is the legislator who has the wisdom and practical talent enough to avail himself of the light which it sheds on the science of legislation?

The authority of government, even such as I am willing to submit to , -- for I will cheerfully obey those who know and can do better than I, and in many things even those who neither know nor can do so well, --is still an impure one; to be strictly just, it must have the sanction and consent of the governed.  It can have no pure right over my person and property but what I concede to it,  The progress from an absolute to a limited monarchy, from a limited monarchy to a democracy, is a progress toward a true respect for the individual.   Even the Chinese philosopher was wise enough to regard the individual as the basis of the empire,  Is a democracy, such as we know it, the last improvement possible in government?  Is it not possible to take a step further towards recognizing and organizing the rights of man?   There will never be a really free and enlightened State until the State comes to recognize the individual as a higher and independent power, from which all of its own power and authority are derived, and treats him accordingly.

Or  to put it in terms that may strike a  more resounding chord -- is America producing so much CO2  it is now stifling the growth of everything pure, enlightened and magnificent -- more specifically, an intellectual willing to rise up, to offer a wee bit of civil disobedience, when needed -- and chock full of good science to back it up?   Much like the way of the overgrowth within the world's mightiest of rain-forests -- perhaps too much of a good thing leads to a competition of sorts.   A competition of words, resources, ideas, a way of life from this generation and well into the next, and the next.

The thing is --   AMERICA is receding; just how much more are we willing "to concede" these days?

It's a good question.

Make it a Good Day, G
