It's about the Squad Thing

Dear America,

it started with this...

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly..........and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how.......it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

one itty bitty problem --  so only one of the four congresswomen was not born in the great US of A, only one. And namely, Ihlan Omar came from Somalia.

So sad to see the Democrats sticking up for people who speak so badly of our Country and who, in addition, hate Israel with a true and unbridled passion. Whenever confronted, they call their adversaries, including Nancy Pelosi, “RACIST.” Their disgusting language.......and the many terrible things they say about the United States must not be allowed to go unchallenged. If the Democrat Party wants to continue to condone such disgraceful behavior, then we look even more forward to seeing you at the ballot box in 2020!

When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said. I think they are American citizens who are duly elected that are running on an agenda that is disgusting, that the American people will reject..........What does it mean for America to have free Healthcare for Illegal Immigrants, no criminalization of coming into our Country - See how that works for controlling Immigration! They talk about Israel like they’re a bunch of thugs, not victims of the entire region. They wanted......to impeach President Trump on DAY ONE. Make them the face of the future of the Democrat Party, you will destroy the Democrat Party. Their policies will destroy our Country!” Need I say more? We will never be a Socialist or Communist Country. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY HERE, YOU CAN LEAVE! It is your choice, and your choice alone. This is about love for America. Certain people HATE our Country....
July 15th was a busy day in twitter world.

Wonder what Ihlan Omar has to say about Hodan this morning, or like yesterday, or even the day before that?  what? like  nothing?   Read her feed for yourself, but only if you are on an empty stomach...go here.

But you would think Ihlan would have some stronger words to use with regards to what IS happening  in her home country, for that's what Somalia truly is -- her one, true, home country; and it's a crappy,  sh@*hole country as it falls apart today.   

To say that Ihlan would not have the liberty to say what she wants to say in Somalia, against the atrocities going on there, against the acts of terrorism upon her home country and people every single day, is an understatement.  She would be attacked, if not killed, if she tried to improve conditions on the ground. let alone aim to improve the Somali government.   SHE would be murdered, just like the Canadian-Somali Journalist --  the one who was pregnant and nearly about to give birth -- Hodan.


We may be a diverse country, but the thing is, America works because -- on our best days -- we aim to assimilate, to become one American culture, as one body of citizens.  There is no white America, black America, brown, red, yellow America; America is designed to be color blind, race blind, religious blind, gender blind....and so on and so on. (Remember some of that from Barack Hussein Obama?...of course you do, it was the speech that led him into the spotlight at the 2004 Democratic Convention.)

A perfect example of what is racist and/or discriminating, is thinking that everyone of a certain color should vote a certain way.  And it goes something like this:

 "We don’t need any more brown faces 
that don’t want to be a brown voice. 
We don’t need black faces 
that don’t want to be a black voice. 
We don’t need Muslims
 that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. 
We don’t need queers 
that don’t want to be a queer voice”

Are her words uniting or dividing us, as a people, as a whole?

but thank you, to the people's representative, Ayanna Pressley, democrat from Massachusetts, for making it so easy to understand how ya'll roll in the squad.  Appreciate the refreshing, raw honesty.  (for more on this, go here)  You can bet she sounds like a racist through and through, even if she isn't.

I wonder what would happen if Trump actually called Rashida Talib a motherf*&er...it's just her words, not mine.  January 4th, 2019 -- "we're going to impeach the motherfucker."  Is it because he is white and is fighting to protect America's foundations?  You can bet she sounds like a racist, too, even if she isn't.

oh but let's return to Ihlan Omar, from one immigrant to another (although illegal!), and in her own words:

"If you are an undocumented immigrant, 
please know that you are 
in my thoughts and that I will keep fighting 
to make our immigration system 
welcome all who seek a better life in our country."

You say this, and in the next breath or on another day, you dare say, "I probably love this country more than anyone who was naturally born... I want America the great to be America the great."

When, in fact, your first allegiance, Ihlan, should be to American citizens, American sovereignty, and America's protection and security, including securing the border. 

And if you cared so much, how come you have voted, alongside your fellow democrats, EIGHTY times against a true blue Humanitarian Aid package to bring about improvements to the border chaos?

Not to mention another fact,  Ihlan -- that America's immigration system is the most open and welcoming in the entire world!  And this goes without saying, but will say it anyway -- the truth is, people immigrate to America because the whole world sees something in America that they like, that they want.  America must be doing something right, right?

My home country origins run the scope of England along with a good portion of European descent, west to east, east to west.  I don't want to go back... to any of my home ancestral counties.  I love America and I'm an American girl through and through. 

And NO, Ihlan -- you don't love America more than me.  Not even close.   I can say so based upon two things -- evidence of my 1010 blogs addressed to Dear America vs. your evidence of a nasty twitter feed.  Neither the color of my skin or yours has anything to do with it.

Is America perfect?  Of course not.
Show me a country without issues.... without a history... without reprehensible acts peppering the landscape with indiscretions, injustices,  and corruption...  and I'll tell you you're a liar.

No wonder you left.
No wonder you get so hostile if you are threatened with the idea of going back.

As much as I hate the over consumption of who hates what and why, I  must say, I like that we are having the conversation.  And I'm not a racist if I happen to side on the side of this American president.

Certainly, there are days when we expect more from our elected officials, ALL of them- - including our president; but when it comes to Trump, we expected no less.   He is fighting for AMERICA, and is willing to take the hits, left right and center.

The thing is --
Open borders will not make us more compassionate, as a people
Free college tuition will not make us smarter, as a people
Universal Healthcare will not make us healthier, as a people
Higher taxation will not make us richer, as a people of this glorious republic
and we can go on, but I'll leave it at this...

Taking the long view, indiscriminately throwing around the label "racist" will only desensitize us to the ugly reality of witnessing true racism and prolong our ability to come together as a people, as a country, as any group of  300 million decent human beings, striving to live in harmony, in a republic, in a democracy, alike, can be.

I think a long hard look into the mirror and quickly forgetting what color of skin we were born with, might be a good idea right about now.  enough already.

and this may sound totally out of left field, but if you don't love and respect this country, perhaps one should reconsider which soccer team to play for....but most especially stand and salute the flag during the playing of the team's anthem, duh (and for another view from Prager U dude, Dennis Prager -- go here!)

It's just a kick in the derriere Thing

Dear America,

Not to point fingers at California, 
but why would you give free healthcare 
to illegal immigrants
 when your streets are littered
 with homeless legal residents, 
trash, and tents. 
California is a beautiful place, 
so let’s keep it that way.

But, speaking of football, here's the kicker...

California officials have estimated the benefits would be available to about 90,000 low-income illegal immigrants at a cost of $98 million per year. 
To pay for part of it, the state agreed to start taxing people who don’t have health insurance. It’s a revival of the individual-mandate penalty that had been on the books nationwide under former President Barack Obama’s health-care law until Republicans in Congress eliminated it as part of the 2017 overhaul to the tax code.
yup, you heard that right.

California lawmakers not only wish to cover the healthcare for poor illegal immigrants, they wish to pay for it, in part, on the backs of poor American citizens with no health insurance -- issuing them a penalty tax!  Here's more from Arnold Ahlert, @The Patriot Post.

what makes America attractive to people from other countries, other cultures, IS our level of sophistication of civilization; our high level of advancement in most areas of importance to a life well lived is here -- from the culture, itself, to the sciences, to the extent of individual and collective industry, to the standard of living, to the very ability to advance in society as an individual, to the highest level of health care in the world and fully available from sea to shining sea. We got it all going on, in America.

The illegal immigrants are leaving a less-civilized society and coming to America to reap her benefits, like a parasite (just keepin' it real, as always, here on the old g thang).  

SO here's a refresher -- as I know this girl has said just so many times before -- 

By definition, a parasite is "an organism that lives in or on an organism of another species (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense." 

Yes, organism -- as in something best defined as "an individual animal, plant, or single-celled life form; it's synonyms include: living thing, being, creature, animal, plant, structure, life form, entity, body; it's also recognized as the material structure of an individual life form.

There used to be a requirement for ALL immigrants coming to America to have, in place, a host -- someone who would take full responsibility for all costs, all needs, including shelter, healthcare, and welfare in every way, until such time the immigrant could fully assimilate into civilization, the American culture, on their own.

Now -- however -- the individual host mandate has been foolishly replaced by government, like that in California.   And democrats are leading this charge.

Now, illegal immigrants who illegally break the law and cross our border, human traffic, leech government resources, assault border patrol, run roughshod over every law, rule, stipulation to comply, let alone be responsible enough to show up for your very own asylum hearing,  get a pass?!  Are you serious?  All the while, American taxpayers, who can't afford a damn thing anymore being trillions of dollars in debt --not counting personal debt -- have to foot the bill?  Are you serious?  

As the world turns, in America --  as we keep kicking the can down the road, as we keep kicking ourselves up the politically correct butt, as we keep kicking it via the social media mayhem of the world we have created, as we keep kicking it towards the total absence of individual liberty through wanton socialist dreams --  there will come a day when we will all wake up and America will be a civilization that once was.  We will be kicked to smithereens and six feet under; the only trace will live inside the  history books, and right alongside Greece and Rome, under the heading of fallen civilizations we have known and loved.

It's a Little Miss Leading Thing

Dear America,

i love how, like, the big guys of social media decide for us -- hmmmm, um, like, which free speech is misleading, or racist, or inappropriate to share, or whatever, and which "free speech" is okay.

...you can play a little catch up with what happened on Facebook, here.

But just today, Twitter suspended the account that featured that darling eight year old girl, impersonating AOC: via @AOCPress; it's like, being more than a slap on the hand, the account was permanently suspended!  If you happened to have missed it, you can still catch it on Ben Shapiro's, The Daily Wire, here.  Better hurry.

like, has the Left no sense of humor?

Jeebus, like, every Saturday Night Live, every late night comedian, profits, nightly, and wildly, from poking fun at the Right -- with plenty of tweets, re-tweets, and Facebook postings, to follow...and you guys can't handle this little girl?

According to Fox News,

"The social media giant also suspended the account's creator, Michael Morrison. It said that while users could create parody accounts, they couldn't use 'misleading account information in order to engage in spamming, abusive, or disruptive behavior including attempts to manipulate the conversations on Twitter'."

"can't use misleading information, blah blah blah, to manipulate the conversations on Twitter."

Seriously?  Like, you can't be serious.

like, where do we begin?  

Twitter's success is based --  and is banking on, really --  a never ending flow of a leading and misleading  information, in order to create the very dynamic of non-stop virtual conversation from all over the globe, twenty-four, seven.  What they dislike, is the Right, using the platform for making any political gain.   

So what's the endgame, you bunch of twits?  Are you just going to find ways to delete us all, permanently suspending every conservative, every opposition post, every person, every organization, which pairs their humor and their views leaning to the right?

By definition, Twitter is all about communicating in pithy zingers back and forth, 140 characters or less, or whatever it is....(I'm not a user).  Am I missing something?  

Let's go bigger picture for a moment, using a different actor, paired with CNN along with its leftist audience --

“The political landscape is unrecognizable to me, and shame on us for being in that spot. That could change overnight, not because of a vote, but because people say, ‘I want to try to be more than about myself.’ That’s the definition of public service.”

Seems Kevin Costner is a wee bit frustrated with the caliber of America's civil servants, the selfish bastards that they are.  Or wait, maybe this is more about using his celebrity to make a point, landing a well-timed criticism about "the [current] political landscape' -- aka the Trump Administration --  to be tweeted and retweeted, posted and re-posted, all around the world?

he continues --

“This is the greatest experiment in humankind: America. This great idea about America still exists, it’s still here. People still want to come here, but we’re not first in hardly anything that matters and we have an inflated idea about how we are. We exaggerate about what we are. We are everything that’s great and we are everything that’s human. And our humanness and our level of selfishness is overtaking our chance to be great.”
Worthy of repeat:

"We're not first in hardly anything that matters and we have an inflated idea about how we are.  We exaggerate about what we are.  We are everything that's great and we are everything that's human." 
um, like, what is Kevin even saying?   

And besides, dude, even you just said that America is "the greatest experiment in humankind!!!!"   Talk about inflation...  You know, sounds to me, like, you are running the risk of shaming other countries who aren't doing so great, in the great department, with that kind of declaration.  

hmmmm and "not first in hardly anything,"  what, except perhaps for Social Media ??? -- we seem to be first in all the world in that, Americans having invented it, and all

 and just maybe it's Twitter's fault, or even Facebook's fault, or Instagram's -- of how much we are so full of ourselves, politicians and regular Joe's/Jane's alike

and, given their policies and level of concern, of late, is Trump's Twitter next in line to get the ax?


And repeat:

"And our humanness and our level of selfishness is overtaking our chance to be great."

First, like, you would think when a president donates all of his salary back to the country, that that would be pretty great, right?  Like, Trump is truly acting as a public servant, working without remuneration. Obama kept his salary.  What up with that, Costner, wasn't that a little selfish?  And for that matter, maybe you could begin by asking Congress to stop taking a salary, and just give back to America from the goodness of their hearts.

"This is the greatest experiment in humankind: America. This great idea about America still exists, it’s still here. People still want to come here, but..."

So, according to Costner, the greatest experiment in humankind is still here; the tell being, that people still want to come here,  BUT.

There is no BUT.

People still want to come here because we are still the greatest country in the world.

Our reputation, our label, our level of freedom to live any old way we please, [even our welfare system] attracts.

Our freedom to pursue happiness is written into our founding documents.  Notice that this happiness is not a guarantee,  but that it is the pursuit of this happiness, alongside this life and this liberty.

The ideals, the principles, the values that has inherently made America great throughout the generations is based upon individual participation, individual responsibility, individual duty, that all together combine in the manufacturing and production of individual results. 

Which is why, some people can come from nothing, and make something; while others, can come from a whole lot of something, and lose it all.

And we make America great, and continue to make America great, in the collective, when we individually cling to the virtues that are aligned with making ourselves, as humans, a decent and good people.  And from here, we multiply the good times 300 million, if we are so lucky.

Trump didn't do this to America.  Trump didn't invent the snarky, or sexism, misogyny, racism, bigotry, inequality, or the humanness of any such ugly kind.  We humans do it in the natural, if we are so inclined, all on our own, as everyone -- everyone --  is responsible for our own selves! 

If anything, our phones and tablets and life beginning to be ill-spent and all but consumed by social media did it to us --  captivated by, and through, the technology now made widely available, leaving us mesmerized by the lives of others, and feverishly in the selfish pursuit of happiness, fame and fortune.  THIS is what has really done us all in, in America.

If anything, Hollywood may be partially to blame right alongside the rise of social media...for how much skin is necessary to show?  how much violence in cinema influences the humanness of humans?  how much disrespect for our elders, authority, parents and children, can be witnessed without it affecting behavior? isn't there a responsibility to society somewhere, for Hollywood to clean up its act, whether in film, on stage, or on the casting couch?

  
Costner, you have been given a platform to speak because of your celebrity....and, that platform is amplified and multiplied because you fall in line with the left side of the cultural divide.  

IF you are Ben Shapiro, you get death threats.

Mike Morrison had his Twitter platform taken away, right out from under him, permanently  --  in the United States of America --  and for what?  Because of a parody poking fun at the left's new little darling, the AOC?    

That should be alarming not only to you, Kevin, but to all Americans. 

Truth is, you, Kevin, are misleading Americans -- and if you are using a Twitter account declaring such things, it should be shut down, permanently, and immediately. ;)    

The truth is -- the political landscape of America has been ugly, like, butt ugly, from its birth.  oh the shock, oh the horror.

By all means, though, don't take my word for it; read, and reread, this history of America and its leadership over the last couple of centuries, to get the whole picture.  And then! tweet about it, if you will be so kind.

But from the very beginning, before we even had a system of government in place, the political landscape of America has not been for the faint of heart. It never has been; and it never will. 
And you wanna know why?  It's because we are all human, making our own humanness the best, or the worst, way that we know how.  The whole world is guilty of it; it isn't just an American thing.  

We just so happen to be living in an age when news travels on social media faster than you can say tweet. and then it gets re-tweeted.  and sometimes, when it is really good, or funny, things go viral! like Morrison's @AOCPress....
shame on twitter, shame on twitter, for shutting it down.

If I actually used twitter, I would follow this guy to the ends of the earth and back again, no question about it. But I hate twitter.  [oops can I even say that out loud]

let's talk about the message....short, snarky, spot on, and sensational, is this girl's take, no fake.

The thing is -- if one happens to be a conservative -- the enemy of the state is THIS MAINSTREAM MEDIA.  They aren't even trying to hide their liberal bent; unbiased journalism -- delivering real news and nothing but the news -- is just not found on CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC; it's just not there.  The mainstream and left leaning cable news outlets, and newspapers, and leftist elite, have, in fact, come together, like a media cartel, to destroy this presidency......even if they have to ignore the upward trajectory of the economy, even if they have to stoop below the belt to focus on the sensational stories -- like the Omarosa propaganda tour to sell books, or the fake collusion with the Russians to effect the actual outcome of the 2016 election,  even if they have to cover dueling protests only to favor the leftist position.   It's like, seriously?

Who's acting more like fascists?   It's the LEFT; for they consider any opposing view an enemy of their state.

Um let's define fascist, shall we  -- google?  --  "A fascist is a follower of a political philosophy characterized by authoritarian views and a strong central government — and no tolerance for opposing opinions. Fascist traces to the Italian word fascio, meaning "group, bundle." Under fascist rule, the emphasis is on the group — the nation — with few individual rights."

Can I remind you of what the Right thinks of a strong, central government?  Um, it's like poison, okay; a strong, central government is like the opposite of what any conservative would tell you as being essential.  True conservatives, and most libertarians, by the way, would tell you they want LESS government, no matter if we are talking central, state, or the local level.

True conservatives would tell you they want more debate, more opinion, more ideas, more discussion of the best possible solutions to the nation's issues and governmental abuses...and above all else, they fully support good self-government, organically grown self-reliance (preferably taught through a strong family dynamic), and less government authority over our lives, not more.

The problem with the left...teehee....(um lordy, let me count the ways and allow me to narrow it down into a twitter post format):  is their lack of respect of true individual rights across the board; they only support your rights to speak, protest, congregate, teach, etc. if you align front and center with the Left's ideology.  Any other ideology is shouted down, berated, ignored, bullied, protested with foul words and billy clubs and masks covering their identities.

To the Left, the notion that our foundation is based upon individual rights, divined by God, our Creator, entirely self-evident and indiscriminate, is, in and of itself, an enemy of its state, its nation, its group.  In other words, the Left would have you  believe that a strong, central government is the new god, the giver, the sugar-daddy, the one who has your best interests at heart, allowing government to usurp whatever religion, idol, security, you may follow, whether dependently or independently.  Moreover, to say that our individual rights come from God is near blasphemy to the average leftist.

From the sacred text of our Declaration of Independence:  "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."  And yet, because we are surrounded in a sea of free will -- nothing, nothing is guaranteed; for we are essentially dependent upon the right action of our fellow human beings all along the way.

But suffice it to say, the nature of our republic was designed around what our founders called Nature's Law, or Natural Law -- the UNALIENABLE rights endowed by our Creator.  A number of these are not even mentioned within the Declaration of Independence....the right of self-government, the right of free assembly, the right to bear arms in self-defense, the right to petition, the right of free conscience, the right to enjoy the fruits of one's labor, the right to choose a profession, the right to explore the natural resources of the earth.....and on and on and on.

I wrote about this next guy before...thinking circa 2012, but don't quote me on that... Frederic Bastiat -- he's just a freedom activist from France, circa some hundred and fifty years ago, or so -- but no matter, let's go for another round, imagining Bastiat on twitter today:

“Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.”
Here's another, although its clearly at risk of running over the character limit:

“Now, legal plunder can be committed in an infinite number of ways. And this definitely runs amuck on the twitter limitations, but oh well, there is only freedom to speak and write and think and blog here  --

God precedes, and reigns superior, over everything, seen or unseen, and especially, to all human legislation......no matter the sways of the political pendulum.

Which, with certain, is surely a context the media should heed; this is exactly how the mainstream media cartel/collective should be interpreting their job.  Fair and balanced reporting of the news must aim for the dissemination of such news to be fully impartial, nonpartisan, objective, and without a hint of sensationalism.   [And please note: there is a difference between opinion journalism, and the news reporter, k.]

And so what we have here today -- having been given the latitude to evolve handsomely over the last couple of decades, at least -- is an out of control, wanton, corrupt, enemy of the state for the common good, media.  And this nefarious activity, with enough new hybrid power to destroy a republic teetering upon extinction,  must be stopped.

It's the Dust Bowl Revisited Thing

Dear America,


and then again...

And thus -- given what the ages have taught us about mother nature and the faults of humanity -- becoming the very reason America was set up, and fully intended to grow and prosper, under a Rule of Law and NOT men.  Because MEN (aka mankind) can be stupid.

Now yesterday, I finished the day commenting on the awareness that Trump was "growing on me."

But it's funny, for today I have returned to not so much.

What is he thinking?
What in tar-nation is this pompous, arrogant, bloviating, presidential wanna-be doing?

Just bullying Megyn into submission now, is that his tactic?  Sounds like an Alinsky rule to me; and I don't like it.

Picking on her through twitter like he is in 7th grade?  Seriously?

After endearingly calling him just a boy yesterday, given another context in mind  -- I take it all  back today.

There is no reason for this whatsoever.

After all of the debate dust-up was finally settled down....it's the dust bowl revisited!

It's a Twitter Twit Thing

Dear America,

so how many times in the last twenty four hours are you reminded of a running GEICO commercial?

..."do people use Smart Phones to do Dumb Things?"
happens every day, doesn't it.

what started out as "a joke" according to Weiner, turned into ten days of withholding the truth and nothing but the untruth, so help me God.  What began as a little white lie and a hack job upon the Twitter account of a member of our fine House of Representatives, morphed into "I've done things I deeply regret"..."It was me doing a dumb thing and lying about it"...."I hope people can see it for what it really is, a deeply regrettable mistake"..."I haven't told the truth"... one after another, the not so fine gentleman from New York bared all (no pun to the no-longer-alleged crime intended).

And what did we learn in the end (at least, in the immediate hour after the nearly full hour press conference):  that it is perfectly alright to tell a lie in Washington -- and here's the ba-dump-ba -- when you are embarrassed.  Apparently, even the oath of office covers you under such dire circumstances.  And!  No longer shall you be expected to immediately resign (like everyone else caught with his pants down).


And when does the indecent exposure congressman cling to keeping his character intact?  when faced with addressing a crowd of journalists with inquiring minds -- When asked how he would explain the salacious communications between the women (admitting to having 6 online "relationships" over the last three years), he said he wasn't comfortable "characterizing our exchanges" out of respect for the bevy of six of one, half dozen of another, lot.

Even though just about a week ago he "emphatically" denied the charges against him when sitting down with Bret Baier (taking time out of his busy day to meet with the media from inside his congressional office, by the way)  -- yesterday he most emphatically declared, "I haven't told the truth" and "I am not resigning" in the same breath.

I give him a week.

nuff said.

No -- scratch that -- it's not enough.  Let's go to something Juan Williams said in responding to Weinergate last night: "he took a terrible beating today" ... as if, that is enough -- standing before a firing line of journalists is enough of a beating -- according to Juan -- to hold him perfectly accountable... in taking full responsibility for his actions; and totally caving upon any notion that he should resign over this (like Juan has said in the past)....


Interesting to note this exchange that took place just a few months ago (including an eery premonition by Noelle).

I should mention, this was found on MediaMatters -- the uber-leftist outfit, who upon this day back in February, wanted to use Juan's skewering of Sean Hannity for their "gotcha" moment of the day.   What do you have to say now, Juan?  Mister "I was going to skewer you, Sean...if this had been a democrat,  this would have been you're lead story..." with a few yuckity yucks in between... And then to have Noelle chime in with a warning to Juan just seconds later, "don't gloat in it...never know what is coming down the pipe a couple of months from now [um Juan]..."

I would bet my life Juan received a call from Noelle yesterday -- all she would really have to do is send a picture message: via her 4G, of course, just a picture of a pipe, with the caption, "you are here."

Now, nuff said.

Nope.   Hold up.  I do believe I have one more drop stuck in the pipe that needs to get out...can anyone say double standard?  hypocrites?  or how about this, just what is up with the water in New York?  They say it is the reason for the best bagels on earth, but really, this is the third man down in, what, a year?  And sure, coming from the opposite coast line, and only a couple weeks out from another scandalous political fall from grace (if the Governator ever really had any), I am not one to talk.

And you know what else...coming fresh off of an evening watching a real life scum bag in motion on The Bachelorette last night -- me thinks I am falling back into another episode of  'jaded G' right quick (you would only get that if you read me last week).

Can you even believe that Bentley?  Ew.  Ew.  Ew. and more EW.

But then, I look at Ashley and think, oh my goodness -- she is just so naive and stupid; falling for the one guy that came in with all the warning lights on full blast...even after getting a text message (from a "well meaning" friend) suggesting any reciprocation from him would be insincere... and after coming complete with enough red, white and blue flags to ward off the British even -- but nooooooooooo, she didn't pay no mind to any of it... all logic and common sense went right out the door as soon as he flashed his baby blues...

she just went right on believing everyone else is wrong about him...
and just look at him anyway...
he is just so cute...
he is saying all the right things...
how in the world could he do me wrong... 
I told myself to be open this time around....
this time I promised myself to let myself go...
I think I can do this...
I think he is sincere...
but ooooh, I don't really know for sure....
oh what to do, what to do....
aw, I'm going to let myself fall...
I love him so much already...
when it feels so right, how could I be wrong about him...

or something like that.  how am I to really know what went on inside her head.

And now -- in the weird, wild way that only a G spin can turnabout -- only in America does this seem to lend good reason for our reason to being here in the first place.

America became the shining beacon on the hill because we managed to find a way to capture all the lessons of the fallen man and roll it into one Republic; our founders recognized certain truths, and created an entire government revolving around good character, sound principles proven over the ages, and tried and true universal values.  America would not work, and be blessed, any other way.

The day we stop growing the good, is the day we die as a society, as a leader in the free world, as the one and only purveyor of freedom, liberty and justice for all.

There was a good reason being good became so vitally important at our birth.  and yesterday, highlights merely one aspect.

sure.  as people, as humans, we are far from perfection.  Which is why, our founders directed us down a path making our Creator (call it whatever you want, even Big Bang, or BB for short, if that is what rocks your world) our king; humanity would always fail us.  The intentions were clear right from the start -- if our rights and freedoms were to come from a place Not of This World, we would revere That, centering ourselves around That and not man.

Because why?
Because men fail.

We would not become a place that places all of our hopes and dreams upon the good graces of those in power, of privilege, those who claim to have the kind of character and inclination to lend us some kind of temporal salvation while here on earth and follow like a herd of sheep; for all our hopes and dreams would rest upon Something Greater than ourselves.

For most, that would mean Eternal Salvation takes precedence over the temporal -- the so called collective salvation, is replaced by one's own personal relationship with God; and building a life from our own connection to That which we call by many names, and honor It by just as many different ways, we create a life from self-reliance -- shown the way by the likes of Emerson, for one.  We create a life, doing the works of good -- shown the way by the Bible, for another.  We try to master being as good at being human as we possibly can and are forgiven when we fail (that is, if you believe in That sort of Thing). And then, most important, we gather ourselves together to build a government with cornerstones built solely upon the steadfast principles, the universal values, and the unalienable rights ENDOWED by our CREATOR, and having been proven over all time.

we certainly cannot accomplish this (Good Government) when divided by special interests, or discriminating agendas.

we certainly cannot accomplish this (Good Government) when we desert our One Nation Under God foundation.

we certainly cannot accomplish this (Good Government) when we put our trust in man over Truth.

we certainly cannot accomplish this (Good Government) skewering opposition, instead of melting into One.

we certainly cannot accomplish this (Good Government) when losing our scruples, marbles, and all credibility in a nano second, losing any sense and sensibility in a twitter-twit minute.

Speaking of which, Scott Rasmussen, a political pollster for decades, lays out the political environment like this:"the American people don't want to be governed from the left, the right, or the center. They want to govern themselves."  Good Government under Good Self-Rule (under your God of choice) is the way America was intended to be.

and we're back to  'do people use Smart Phones to do Dumb Things'...

Whatever happened to telling the truth and living by the Truth? for that might be the one thing that if we all tried to do a wee bit better at doing, might save us...myself very much included in that.

Insert Footnote here: One more thing you can always count on, when G points fingers, she is always looking in the mirror asking the question 'how you doin?' (and if you say it like a new yawker it is more fun)  Even though I consider myself "pretty good" when character standards get exchanged -- truth is, none of us are perfect creatures, right.

So it is a crying shame what had to happen yesterday. a crying shame for us all.

Dear America,

TWITTER FEED WEDNESDAY:

So, I am going to get right to 'the thing' today...

anytime we "tweet" foreign relations and policy advise, we look like idiots when it comes from someone so high up on the political food chain, like John McCain; I mean, we might as well have had Megan immediately follow up with, 'yeah, like, now's the time, Mubarak is soooo out of here.'


and don't even get me started on the abbreviations...seriously? are we in sixth grade civics?

and if all that wasn't bad enough, he had a sit down with Obama? did you tell him his health care legislation really sucks and his mama wears army boots?  (that last part is just something I remember from when I was twelve...there is no other deeper meaning than that, seriously, it's just that stupid).

I love the comment made by Dick Morris last night, comparing something Colin Powell had once said in relation to Iraq: "you break it, you buy it..." -- and quickly spun it around addressing Obama's new start treaty made expressly for Egypt...repeating, "you break it, you buy it."

And if we were all wondering what in the world Israel was thinking...now we know that too; a resounding WTF America? is chiming out of the airwaves there...yeah, I think it was tweeted by somebody in the ministry of foreign affairs...no, no, I'm sorry, it was a real live conversation:
"I don't think the Americans understand yet the disaster they have pushed the Middle East into," said lawmaker Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, who until recently was a Cabinet minister and who is a longtime friend of Mubarak.
"If there are elections like the Americans want, I wouldn't be surprised if the Muslim Brotherhood didn't win a majority, it would win half of the seats in parliament," he told Army Radio. while silly Americans are just going to market, getting ready for bean dip and nachos and pizza in less than 72 hours, without a care in the world -- no, scratch that, we care, it's just that this crazy town activity isn't anywhere close to our back yard...it doesn't affect the outcome of the big game... doesn't really have anything to do with you or me, right?... they can work it out... "the youth" have staying power and will prevail... trading a Mubarak for an ElBaradei, what does it really matter in the great scheme of life?

Wrong again.

But yesterday said it all:  apparently, we now live in a world where it is totally cool to tweet major, hyper-sensitive, international relations recommendations -- a.k.a. unwarranted and ill advised advice -- from a political has-been with a penchant for attention -- and nobody thinks anything of it.

This week has accidental tourist written all over it, between how we began the week focusing on the horrors of Super Bowl entertainment, and an advertising campaign built around the idea, "I'm not buying it" -- to later, questioning the authenticity of the Egyptian sit down and America's involvement, thinking to myself, I'm sure not buying that... -- to today, recognizing the latest 21st century truism, what we 'break-ah you buy-ah' (may I recommend a Turkish accent on the fly) no matter how costly or where we are around the globe.

I should be tweeting, 'it's a stunning turn of events for this little American girl.'of course, adding a frown-y face at the tail end :(

The worst part is, we haven't even entered into the worst part.

And now, given the side of the bed President Obama has chosen to lay, spinning this in America's favor, or simply desperately trying not to say another word for fear it may make things worse, will be all the more more difficult.  The stage has been set; the hyper-ganda extravaganza has already begun; we have already meddled too much; we have made our bed; we are responsible for breaking Egypt and Israel relations, by rolling over on top of them both in one fell swoop --

how did we get here?  did someone slip us a roofie?  what were we thinking?

Our president has now made a situation; he will have to choose between standing up for Israel and our rich history of Judeo-Christian relations, deeply and defiantly defending the homeland for a vast majority of the world -- and the very birthplace of America's soul,OR

he will choose a certain and specific Islamic state -- and not the peaceful kind (as we would be kidding ourselves if a certain Egyptian democracy could  rise all of a sudden from this rubble like a Phoenix).

for me, on this "happy thursday" (yeah right) -- I am finding myself unable to breathe.

perhaps we should just Twitter and Facebook out to all our friends to meet up on the White House lawn... asking for a sit down and then a step down -- and maybe not in that order -- this might be the only way to go, in order to command a certain respect that, already, our president seems akin to understanding -- some would say he is almost advocating, right?  -- hey, it's just us "youth" out here, demanding our rights of universal humanity and best interests to be heard...can you can dig it? yo, Mr. President?

Between the absurdity of signing off on an UNLAWFUL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL health care law -- a sorry piece of legislation that already has more organizations and states opting out than those supporting it, waiving any and all agreements to abide by it, making it null and void for a few, leaving whoever shall be left to pay for it, while magically manipulating Medicare monies to cover 500 billion of it's costs, of which, will never see the light of day -- 70% of the people, 27 states, 729 waivers later -- how about we tweet this all together now shall we: "we'r not buy'n it mr. prez -- give it up 2day"  For more good tweets, go to The Morning Bell's feature this morning from The Heritage Foundation...I love, love, love these guys.

Oh how I wish the main man was a conservative -- he's cute, funny, and who can say no to him really?  I cannot tell you how much I wish I admired his taste in politics, ideology, and his whole social justice thing going on; I wish I could love more than just his pretty face, truly I do...and you can blame his wife, Michelle, for the fixation on his looks this morning...remember when she told us all not to vote for somebody just because "she's cute" -- I mean, my gosh, compare ObamaBabe to G's first hit of the day, M'key dodo bird; hands down, no contest.

But seriously, this guy can't get out fast enough if you ask me, and I hear you, loud and clear, nobody is...

Hanging on the way things are said and done these days, let's just leave it at the realization that the world is in for a world of hurt -- and coming to a theater near you shortly -- stay tuned to your Twitter/Facebook page '2 find out whr u shud run hide 4ever'...Australia's looking pretty good...except for a little water damage...at least everybody has their own accidental moat...as the glass is always half full in G's world (and regularly, it's red wine).

In the meantime, may I suggest loading up on not only the potato skins this weekend, but also a few things you might really need one day soon...you know, things like water, canned goods, flashlights, batteries, blankets, gas masks...just a little humorous advice from someone we like to call Uncle Ted xx
