It's Reflections on the Ridiculous Thing

Dear America,

"I think it's really tragic
when people get serious about stuff.
It's such an absurdity
to take anything really seriously...
I make an honest attempt
not to take anything seriously;
I worked that attitude out
about the time I was eighteen,
I mean, what does it all mean
when you get right down to it,
what's the story here?
Being alive is so weird."
Frank Zappa

seriously.

and for starters, this girl is having such a hard time getting her head around the headlines these days.  It's as if it's all ridiculous; what do we care about Kellyanne Conway's husband opinion about anything?   Like, seriously?

And for Trump to even respond....it's like, with all due respect, Mr. President -- you are the president of the United States of America!  --  just leave it alone!

And the president gets my same response about all his chatter about John McCain.  Just leave it be; don't feed the fire; don't fight for the last word; don't give the media something to talk about when the subject matter goes petty, or simply trades insults with the dead or his entourage.  That trade war will never be won, as it lives so deep down in the mire, all that survives is a mouth full of muck and a reputation lost in the tangling web of nonsense, barbs and slurs, and suffocating any chance of any good to come of it, and shamefully reducing the statehood of the office to nothing more than tabloid warfare.

Seriously, this life and these times are just so weird.

We get it, Mr. President; this is how you role; this is how you play the game.

And just maybe, your survival in office to date, has mandated this rapid fire response day in and day out....you know, given your history, your long list of haters, your modus operandi, along with your stubbornness and natural penchant to win at all costs....there is that.

But, seriously, Mr. President -- you no longer have to go there.  In simple terms, the more you choose to take the high road --  above the sea of petty, peaty, marshy, quagmire of all things down and dirty -- the greater the prospect of truly Making America Great Again.  (In everything, it's about America and what is best for her.... and pretty sure, she can take you, so don't even try.)   There is a trade deficit in this country, if not the world, in the nature of kindness, mutual respect, and holding ourselves accountable to everything we say, everything we do, and everything filling up our hearts and minds.

The thing is -- there is opportunity here to lead this campaign from the top down.

“The greatest leader
is not necessarily the one
who does the greatest things.
He is the one
that gets the people to do
the greatest things.”
― Ronald Reagan

The thing is -- you, dear sir, have ample proof now of your administration's successes... Unemployment is at the lowest level in decades, people are seeing wages rise, optimism is making gains; and all the opposition has to combat your accomplishments is denial,  politically motivated smears, and the good favor of an obstructive, biased, mainstream media that feeds irresponsible and reckless ideas into the heads of the American people, headlining candidates selling nothing but snake oil.

Like, seriously?

These "phenoms and political hacks" monopolize the media with false claims and projections based upon ridiculous socialist policies, when history proves, these illogical attempts to dictate winners and losers through the controls of an elitist government are untenable, defective, and have NEVER worked anywhere around the world, like, ever!  Ultimately, if allowed to take hold, this massive, invasive, root system -- deceptively based upon leveling the hills and valleys of a life sustained in liberty and freedom and opportunity -- will destroy our foundation, squelch ambition, and reduce America to ruins.

Must appreciate the use of the word invasive, right?

By definition -- "An invasive species is an organism that causes ecological or economic harm in a new environment where it is not native. ... Invasive species are capable of causing extinctions of native plants and animals, reducing biodiversity, competing with native organisms for limited resources, and altering habitats."

Need I say more?

Socialist ideas are NOT NATIVE to America!  The harsh truth is, giving breath, life, oxygen to policy rooted in the delusion of equal distribution of wealth, even in part -- even Social Security -- have only adversely effected our way of life, accumulation of wealth, continuing to risk our future health and welfare, as a whole.

And The Left wants more of this?

Everything can't be free.
Like, seriously, Ms. AOC?

But I digress.

I'm getting lost in the weeds; allow me to detangle and get back on point, if you will.

Mr. President -- Rise and Shine

“There is no limit
to the amount of good
you can do if you don't care
who gets the credit.”
― Ronald Reagan

Elevate your every move, every word, every deed and don't look back. don't do it.

Lead, by example,Mr. President.
yes.  it is cliche.  it's just what I do here...shoot me. and on that note, here's more --

Mr. President -- You have nothing to lose, nothing; while you have everything to gain -- maybe even another four years.   And, you know, the right wins on ideas and its results every time, because they are anything but ridiculous; let's emphasize our winning ideas and why they work; and while we're at it, let's emphasize rising above the fray (love it).

Let's give the media nothing to talk about, but the GOOD!

[But what do I know; I'm just a girl, and this is just my day in the life #989]

And isn't "being alive is so weird...
isn't it?
Like, seriously, it is.

the end.

It's about Making Everything Around Me Beautiful Thing

Dear America,

"I'm going to make
everything
around me beautiful --
that will be my life."
Elsie de Wolfe

just ordered her book off of Amazon Smile for 2.60, plus shipping; the Daughters of the American Revolution gets .5% of it...but what even is that at POINT five percent?  Not much.

Elsie died in 1950; thinking the only real value remaining from The House in Good Taste (published in 1913), will be revealed in its pages, given the era of the day. and doncha know that this girl is so excited to read it...

Elsie is also quoted as saying, "Good taste can be developed in anyone, just as surely as good manners are possible to anyone.  And good taste is as necessary as good manners."  Figures she would say something like that, considering she is often attributed as the "First Lady" of  AMERICAN interior design.  She valued the development, the time, the creative spirit, the importance, of a house in good taste -- and she truly wanted to teach others to feel and do and make a house beautiful just the same.

And, like many things of value institutionalized in America -- according to Elsie, this certain penchant for designing a house in good taste was an equal opportunity endeavor; but, of course, it is!   Surely, a house of good taste is as achievable as good manners -- and we all know how this country is simply overflowing with the abundance of good manners.

Let us not get stuck on the prevalence of please and thank you's about town; but let us return to the Elsie's lovely purpose in life -- making everything around her beautiful.   Indeed, she says, "that will be my life."

Breathing it in further, I wonder how Elsie would feel if I seized upon her golden rule as my own?  We can share it, can't we, Elsie?

If you really think about it -- besides nearly feeling this sweet sentiment elegantly flowing from her lips while standing in the foyer of some grand American palace that she called home -- what a concept it is, eh?  To go about one's day with the intention of simply leaving beautiful footprints as to where we've been... oh what a beautiful world we would have.

From the beautiful things we would speak of, and say, to one another; to the beautiful expressions of service we would freely give to one another; to the beautiful rooms, and schools, and offices, of every building about town, that would be beautifully transformed by our lofty objective to make every person, place, or thing we come in contact with all the more beautiful, inside and out.

The thing is, given the vicious news cycle of the last year, the snarky grumblings to the vitriolic outbursts on social media, of things in the macrocosm basically growing less and less beautiful every living breathing day in America -- coming to this realization in the microcosm, of the beautification of things, seems a worthy ambition, and dare I say, even very doable and attainable.  As in, this will be my life from this moment forward.

It's worth a shot, right?

My world according to me, G  -- my girl, my boys, my family/my circle, my community, my country -- is worth every bit of this intention, so help me God.

And just in case this girl is not back before the end of 2018 (who really knows at this point...honestly, I would give it a POINT  five percent of a chance, but we will have to wait and see, won't we)....my Christmas wish from one and to all is to let this be the call to call your own into the new year, too...

Make everything around you beautiful.

Whether on the settee, the chaise, the sectional that fits a family of six, or that age-old recliner that smells of forty years of football -- let this sit with you, permanently leaving an impression in the cushions and begging the question:   is what you are about to say or do going to make this America a more beautiful place, or no?

[And here's looking at you, House of Representatives...the White House...and not to feel left out, that illegal room addition, also known as the Senate...Speaking of which, this piece of news is entertaining...we have to talk more about this in the new year, even though this girl has made the point umpteen times before:  the Senate was originally designed to be the voice of the STATE!!!! It was not meant to be representative of the voice of the people!!!   Fareed is an fareeking idiot!!!  Oops...and in an instant, there goes my beautiful blahhhhhhhg....Anywho.... thankfully, Fareed is making the founders' point!  In no uncertain terms, America must return to the olden days when each state legislature elected their own state Senators, in order to argue the needs and best interests of each state!  The founders didn't create a congress to have a House of Representatives next door to the House of Senators.  Um.  that would be just plum stupid, or maybe the shade is more eggplant...Elsie?]

Okay, so I should not have called Fareed a fareeking idiot; I'll keep working on cleaning up my beautiful mouth.

Until then, it's pretty much not so simple after all; but, as a foundation to live by, there is nothing too ornate, phony, contrived about it.  In my book, it is simply an ideal that belongs here, like black and white parquet floors, and ferns, lots and lots of ferns, all happily living next door with the exceptional standards of America, the Beautiful, in every possible way.  It is worthy, based solely on the merits; and the value....priceless.

May all of you beautiful people find yourselves surrounded by the beautiful people you love this beautiful Christmas, and may our Beautiful and Glorious God bless us every one.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's About that Julia Ghoulia Thing

Dear America,

"This President

Has Radicalized

So Many More People

Than ISIS Ever Did"

astonishing, isn't it?

...Julia Ioffe, a columnist for GQ Magazine, said this on CNN with Jake Tapper....and Tapper didn't even question it.

On one hand, this commentary is simply disgraceful; on the other, it goes to prove just how leftists really think, and operate, and have their being, really.  And it all goes to the credit of one of the Left's leading mentors --  Saul Alinsky.  They -- the Left -- should know a lot about radicalization, for Alinsky wrote the book that led a generation, and an entire movement; a movement that is still alive and well today.  That book is titled,  RULES for RADICALS.

Of course, what we normally think of when it comes to radicalization today -- usually steers us in the direction of the Middle East, the place where the deep seated roots, the fertile soil, and subsequent branches of Radical Islam began; it began there, only to grow and extend around the world, reaching levels of ferocity of extremism in ways seen and unseen.  It is a mystery as to how truly entrenched the world really is,  for no one has the nerve to talk about it, let alone investigate it...except perhaps, this president.  But that is neither here nor there at the present moment.

What is here  -- and there -- and everywhere -- is an unbelievable amount of harassment and vitriol against not only a sitting president, but a guy, a fellow American,  who honestly just wants what is best for this country; what is most on his mind, are the needs and concerns of THIS country, and no other.

Having said what she said -- just how this Julia ghoulia still has a job anywhere upon this very day, is beyond my understanding.  But even having said that, I will respect her freedom to say what she wants to say, given our foundation.  Free speech is free speech is free speech.

But oh boy...she gives one of the most asinine character assassinations of a president I think I have ever heard.

And nobody seemed to balk on CNN -- except for that one token conservative on the panel, David Urban...um, like, aren't you gonna say something about that Jake?

No.
He's not, David.
Doncha know they are all drinking the same koolaid, listening to the same podcasts, and doling out the same hate, at 78 beats per minute  (just to put it in a language common of the times back in the day when rules and radicals first aligned).  Only now -- it's better, bigger, bolder and on a loop 24/7, from broadcast news to cable to each and every wave of broadband from sea to shining sea.

Alinsky may have set this in motion back in the day when eight track tapes were just the thing, but guess what, folks?  It's working...and not only that, the Left has probably never been more organized or as powerful than it is right now.

Even people who think they have their head on straight --  like Kanye West -- suddenly have second thoughts and give in or give up; for by all appearances, the pile on Trump is simply too great; it's a mainstream mountain too high, a demagoguery valley so low, there ain't nowhere to go but into the stream of leftist consciousness, no matter how outlandish the perception or plum tall tale lies.

Perceptions don't need to be based in truth; it's called just the right mix of manure and dirt...and just about anything can take root and recklessly spread like a weed.

But whether we all agree to make America great again, or not -- make no mistake:  America is at a time of her own choosing as we speak.

Under our feet are numerous laws in motion... laws like, that of attraction, that of creation -- and everything that we do or say today, right now, is immediately placed into the American soil.

Tomorrow we reap what we sow.

I recently listened to Erwin McManus on the Hillsong Channel -- he was speaking of this kind of choosing that we all do, day in and day out, even if we go about our business totally oblivious to it.  And he said something rather stunning -- he said -- "evil men don't wait for God's permission to move forward."

They just do it.

No questions, no conscience at play, no wondering, um, should I or should I not.  They just do it.

Radicalization speaks of the kind of evil that only evil men and women do.

And for Julia to place President Trump in this company -- or worse -- to accuse him of "radicalizing so many more people than ISIS" is unconscionable, indefensible and wrong every which way to Sunday and back.  Julia owes the president an apology....

and, as a matter of fact, she owes me an apology, too  -- for just who is she referring to anyway?
me?
Have I been radicalized -- simply for voting for Trump?
Am I a radical -- according to Julia ghoulia -- just because I don't believe in open borders, or approve of Obamacare, or am about to vote yes on the removal of the California gas tax?
Seriously?   Am I?
Now, truth be told, the synagogue shooter didn't even like Trump, so that connection just isn't even there there...
But if we're going there,  just maybe I will take my crack pot who can't even build a mail bomb over your baseball field ambush dude any day of the week.

Julia, Julia, Julia -- this divide -- it is just part and parcel of the landscape of American politics, the choice of government large or small, and goes to the center of our differences.  Thinking you need to grow a little smarter than what you have on display, just sayin' -- this new radical- leftist hybrid model is just not ready for prime time.

And even though I know how you got here -- thanks to Alinsky and his followers, and their followers, and the followers after that....you are a product of radical ideas that were planted, promulgated and propagated for decades.  You feel quite certain, by the company you keep, that you are on the right track for the right reasons and are not afraid to say so through any means necessary.  For the end justifies the means, right...

I get it.

I have seen it; I have read about it; I understand it; and I even bear witness to it every day here in America.

and now, I am so over it.

oh my goodness,
oh my goodness.

All this girl ever wants for America, is what is best for America -- as a whole.

This diary of America is feeling so downtrodden...crushed under the weight of an American spirit usurped by hooligans and marauders and outlaws and ignorant people like Julia...speaking of which,

"I don't see democrats killing people."
said Don Lemon, CNN
... seriously, Lemon?
Newsflash: you are a lemon.

I have no more words to say, for today, other than it sure is spooky in America these days.
But hey...um, Happy Halloween?

the end.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's About Criminal Political Activism of all kinds Thing

Dear America,

"they have no place in our country...
bring to swift and certain justice...
to the fullest extent of the law....
never allow political violence to ever take root in America...."

amen to that
amen to that

"bottom line is that Americans must unify...
every day,
we are truly showing the world,
just how truly great we are..."

way to diffuse a situation, Mr. President. Just moments ago.

we have the best law enforcement in the world, Trump continues to say.

So will this media of ours, finally take hold of this continued call to unify -- as Americans -- made repeatedly by this president, and agree with him?

Will they?

[yeah that question is purely rhetorical]

Will the media now go back and analyze the prior call for incivility, made by the former Secretary of State and former presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton?

Or the nonstop calls for resistance made by Maxine Waters, like
"Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere."

going way back to June now, to get this twitter response made by the president:
“Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party,” he tweeted. “She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!”

Yes.  Indeed.
How prophetic that really was, right?...."be careful what you wish for Max!"  But will anyone go back to the record to cite the president's rather common-sensical warnings made at the time?

What this bomb scare does --  besides making crystal-cut clear the crystallization of  the great political divide in this country -- is show how our words matter.

Just about anyone and everyone can take what the democrats have dished out over the last few months, and make a connection.  IF one party calls for acting in an uncivil manner to satisfy the political tension and differences between -- all ears, right and left, will hear it!

Clearly, we live in a society now where any kind of crackpot, left and right, will do things -- with or without the call for incivility, so do we really need to say things to actually incite it?

Case in point, all the protests and confrontations made in the middle of a meal (Sanders, Neilsen, Miller and the latest, McConnell) , like a baseball field being shot up to smithereens and seriously wounding House Majority Whip Steve Scalise....[Did that shooter characterize all democrats?]

CNN cannot lead the instability, the hatred, the nonstop condemnation of this administration twenty-four seven and NOT be found responsible, in part, for this kind of political vitriol in action.  And yet, it's not just CNN -- ABC, NBC, CBS news have all aligned with the same refrain, the same news feed, the same tilted news cycle day after day after day... to the tune of 91%.  91%!

The president was harpooned by the media for saying this  -- "The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories. Have to do it."

And I wonder -- just what is wrong with that?  Garbage in, makes garbage out; what we think about, expands, yadi yadi yada....see my blog post from just yesterday

And more than that -- the MAINSTREAM MEDIA  is not supposed to show ANY political bias.  Like, none.
Hello?

Just imagine a world where, over a few days, the Trump Administration receives nothing but high marks from the media, like it did for Obama.  Just imagine that.

Imagine Trump getting credit for all of this positive economic growth, the escalation of consumer confidence out of the blue, the great and sensible tax deductions, the lowest unemployment in years, the return of strength with regards to our relations at the United Nations, the common sense approach to trade relations and America's relationship with crazy countries (like Iran and North Korea and even Russia)...and how can we forget, his firm stance on the safe keeping of America's sovereign borders, especially the southern border, the one about to be tested by nothing more than an invasion ....and just in time for the November mid-term elections.

That   -- the caravan -- is a script of left-wing theatrics like we have never seen the likes of before.

To Tucker Carlson --
"When you arrive in a country
to contribute to it
and to assimilate into its culture,
you don't wave the flag of a foreign nation.
That's what you do in triumph
when you invade a country."

exactly.

Every American should take issue with this approach to immigration, sans assimilation.
Every American.

Every American should also READ THIS in order to understand the depth and breadth of the organizations behind the mass invasion fast approaching.
Every American.

Every American should also agree that this is not the proper way to seek "asylum."
Every American.

Every American should take a moment to reflect upon the one thing President Trump has been trumpeting from his response to Charlottesville, and all the way to the start of this news cycle, in the wake of this bomb scare and the capturing of a suspect...and that being, this is the time to UNIFY, as Americans.

Every American.

Every American should be concerned at the level of criminal political activism taken by any one of us, including, but not limited to, inciting violence and inspiring in-your-face resistance; calling for incivility until such time democrats are back in power; sending inert bombs to a dozen, or more, political/community leaders; and ambushing places like baseball fields far and wide. It is all wrong.

Heightened rhetoric, mental illness, ignorance, broken spirits, fanaticism, intolerance, leads to actions unbecoming of the average American, just sayin'.

That is just a logical conclusion based on facts; for any mindful, sane, conscientious, educated, thoughtful person just doesn't send bombs, or blows up ball fields, or gets in the face of a politician over a bowl of fettuccine, or refers to an entire party fitting to receive acts of political retribution...it's like, who does that?  Who says that and can still garner a serious audience of support of any kind, um Hillary?

We have to pay attention to every little thing; and more than that, consciously come together and move to do the right thing, always.  And Unify.  Unify.  And Unify...

"Have to do it."

This is what all Americans must do, not just today, but every single day.

We have to choose our words carefully, we have to act responsibly, we have to unify demonstrably, if we are to ever create the kind of society we can all live in, in peace -- especially in light of our clear ideological differences between us.

Newsflash:  we do not all think alike in America; but it is expected of us -- e pluribus unum - to respect each other and our differences, even if we can never ever ever agree on anything.

Out of many we are one; that, by definition, defines who we are as a country and as a people.

One = Unify as Americans, not divide.

the end.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's from One Silly Girl to Another Thing

Dear America,

summer composition numero dos

#945

signing in.

and it's gonna be a scorcher; oh, and we have an excessive heat warning running until 8 p.m. to boot...

And before I say anything else,  my thoughts and prayers are with the finest fire fighters in the nation, battling umpteen fires, with no rest from the weather pattern in sight.  God Bless you guys.

Though isn't it ironic, that as the state of California goes up in smoke, following years of a second round of Governor Jerry Brown, solidifying another round of reckless policy, sealing a trajectory ending with bankruptcy all but a done deal....eventually, while living out every leftists wet dream  -- the entire state is literally on fire.

BUT one thing is for certain -- fire should never be used to fuel political arguments.  And with that premise, let me fire you up with a smart analysis from Investor's Business Daily.....here.  And from another angle, this post is also good.   And then there's this guy....suspect of the Holy Fire in Southern California...adding the arsonist dimension to the mix of elements and elevations.

and yet, I really don't wanna talk about California.

Maduro making a few scorching observations of his own party is an interesting turn of events.

And considering it comes just as America's socialists, large and small, are beginning to heat up, it is a wonder how any of them can catch so much as 30 seconds of air time....

And can't wait for the debates to begin with this girl...."I think absolutely right now..she is the leader of..no no, um, she is speaker..or rather leader Pelosi..hopefully we’ll see..she’s ah..she’s the current leader of the party and..the party absolutely does have its leadership in the House and Senate." Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, responding to a question on CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time" show....gauging Nancy Pelosi's leadership presence...um, like, past, present and future.... and sounding like an idiot.

you know the next thing you should run for, Alexandria, is Miss America, just sayin.

Who also said this -- -"We only have empty pockets when it comes to the morally right things to do, but when it comes to tax cuts for billionaires and when it comes to unlimited war we seem to be able to invent that money very easily," Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says...

She needs to get her facts straight; not to mention, this girl is so sick and tired of hearing the worn out cliches against Defense spending...especially when it doesn't add up.

SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICAID and MEDICARE and other mandatory, extra  INCOME support programs -- like food stamps, Unemployment Compensation, Child Nutrition, Child Tax CreditsSupplemental Security Income, and Student Loans [attached links coming from a place on the web called, "the balance"]  make up two-thirds of the Federal Budget.

And so, if you do the math, all the rest of the budget comes out of the remaining one-third, okay?  That means, Alexandria, the entire Defense Budget, including added war costs, comes out of the discretionary side of the balance sheet, and it is LESS than all the social programs put together. As a matter of fact, the Defense budget gets less than Social Security all on its own; and far less than the Medicaid and Medicare combined.

And guess what, Alexandria, the most important element of our economy is having the wealth, and those who are wealthy, amply supported by an economic system that motivates investment in order to EXPAND...even if that sometimes appears like "tax cuts" to "billionaires."   Who puts up the financial risk to build the business, the corporation, in the first place?  Every large corporate entity started with an itty bitty idea and somehow ends up employing a lot of Americans; all the while, added to the other half of America who are either owner/employed by small business, and we have ourselves a blazing environment (if not cut off at the knees through oppressive government policy) to not only meet the needs of our 300+ million people, but have the ability to be very charitable people in private.

"We only have empty pockets when it comes to the morally right thing to do?"  Seriously?  It takes nearly 3 TRILLION DOLLARS just to cover the expenses of social security, medicare, and medicaid and the miscellaneous, but mandatory, "other".....And the ugly reality of the BIG PICTURE is really only seen behind the scene -- as in the over 100 TRILLION DOLLARS IN UNFUNDED LIABILITIES within the Social Security and Medicaid entitlement programs.  In other words, we can't afford any of it.

And Besides:   It's not the government's money!  It's the people's money being held at the people's house.

Government does not produce anything but a bureaucracy of departments, coming complete with expenses and automatic increases year over year!  Ironically, one of the only departments with a leg to stand on, is, in fact, the one that falls directly under government's primary responsibility -- that being, our National Defense....providing a National Militia, for the safekeeping and security of the entire nation and its people.

Funny, too, that we could go all the way back to the another time, and another New Yorker, to the 1930's....and consider that to be our first mistake....but I really don't wanna talk about New York, either.

BUT THAT LINK right there, although from nearly ten years ago, explains the problem with Social Security (and entitlement thinking, in general) so well, I had to use it -- it's a must read.  Thank you,  Doug Bandow, and the Cato Institute, for the easy to read lesson on where America went so wrong...even if feeling the policy to be so morally right at the time.    Time's change.   And how.

I want Ben Shapiro to have a chance to debate this girl only to witness her go up in flames as fast as her sudden national notoriety, albeit rooted with socialist gimmicks and perhaps a "she's cute" mentality, right Michelle O?

But now going a whole 'nother direction, it would sure be kinda wonderful if President Trump tackled the Social Security ponzi scheme, and when he's done with that, fix Medicaid, and when he's done with that, fix Medicare, and when he's done with that, start slashing through a forest of bureaucracy, with branches that extend to the far-reaches of the earth.  It's all such a mess. And I do recall that he was the guy who said he could fix it, drain the swamp and everything...

yeah yeah, let's fire up some ponzi demolition and see what happens. see what happens.

Oh politics.  Some days we like it, some days we can't stand the heat...

but don't get me wrong, it's always the perfect kindling, whether up for national debate, or just some silly girl's  blog.  I mean, look at today, for example....pretty much just one silly girl to another, making a pretty point.

the end.

It's Society's Sins to Sun Tzu Thing

Dear America,

"Right is right
even when nobody is doing it;
wrong is wrong
even when everybody's doing it."
Quote captured from an old episode of No Reservations.
Bourdain didn't say it, of course;
it was said during a guest interview of
a rancher, somewhere in Montana
...sorry I can't give you a name.

you know, a number of years ago, while attending a wine fest at Liberty Station in Point Loma, my girlfriend and I met the owners of a few of the Massage Envy's around town -- a husband and wife team...

although he rubbed me the wrong way (badump ba), she, on the other hand, was a stand up kinda gal.  (I know, that was a two-fer-one.)

But this news of 180 sexual assault allegations -- what the buzz?

so one of these women, if maybe all, kinda allowed the rub to wander inappropriately and didn't just get up and run out, right on the spot?  Seriously?

I'm trying to imagine that -- for if it were me, from the very second hands would grope anything....from my little itty bitty buttocks to my little itty bitty tata's, I would be screaming bloody hell and running to the front desk!  I mean, even engaging in reading the entire BuzzFeed piece --as graphic as it is --  is difficult.

And guessing it is no wonder, for duly noted in the post --  the Massage Envy manual claims, "Only 4% of upset customers will tell you when there is a problem."

Um, I don't believe that this is a problem resolved by a free massage or getting your money back, just sayin'.

But for this news to be surfacing at the tail end of such a glorious Thanksgiving weekend....

and when commingled with the news of a couple more high profile guys  (Conyers and Branson), now allegedly guilty of sexual harassment and the like....

and when added to the last few months and a trail of catching tail a mile long -- beginning with Harvey Weinstein --  it feels as if no man stands clear of charges.

It also feels like a whole lot of women have been way too silent while sitting on a ticking time bomb, and for what?  Why be silent?  As a girl, I do not understand that kind of fear to speak up....after being sexually assaulted!  Suddenly feeling a pang in my upper shoulders and a tightening at the nape of the neck.

I do not understand how one can continue to lay there on a massage table and not high tail it outta of there, while dialing 911, and promptly having the dude arrested on the spot.  In this day and age of social media news going viral -- where's the post?  Where's the alert to the media?  Where's the telling all Facebook friends, all Instagram followers, the latest news?  Thing is, how is it now fall of 2017 while the beginning of Massage Envy's demise -- courtesy of James Deiter, and others  -- began in the fall of 2014?

If the Richard Branson incident, in question, occurred in 2010 -- just how does Antonia Jenae not say a thing until now?

Thing is -- and it's a pretty big thing -- how does an entire hand go up where it doesn't belong received without incident, as in without the return of a swift kick to the groin?  That's just nuts.  Suddenly experiencing a Charley Horse piercing my entire left side, all the way down from my sciatic nerve to the big toe.

Which all leads me to the new book I'm reading for kicks and giggles:  The Art of War by SunTzu, translated by Lionel Giles.  Thinking it wise to take it slow, perhaps with a heating pad on the lower back; for this guy packs so much with so few words.   word.

But just maybe my inner feminist is telling me that women are in a new age of fighting back or playing the victim....it appears out of nowhere like a fine line; -- and just to be clear, this gal doesn't align with feminism in the way true feminists behave and have their origins, okay.  I simply believe strong women -- the kind resembling female strength and conviction and drive -- have existed since the beginning of time.  True feminists, real women,  just DO; there is no need for political agenda, no need for special treatment, no need for exclusivity that runs lock step with Leftists, no need for lambasting half the women in the country just because they lean conservative...but look how quickly we digress.

So, in the first two pages, Sun Tzu says:

"18. All warfare is based on deception."

and adding:
"19. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near."

and adding just one more:

"20. Hold out baits to entice the enemy.
Feign disorder, and crush him."

And in this light, may boys and girls begin to recognize that being in relationship with one another -- especially in business -- is sometimes complicated, to say the least; but sad is the day we become enemies -- or worse --  that women begin to use our skill sets of deception and manipulation, using our feminine ways to alter realities in an effort to make our way in a man's world, and turn around to use it as leverage or blackmail; and in equal portion -- for the masculine world to taunt and take whatever they want, whenever they want, unable to keep their hands to themselves or coexist with any semblance of mutual respect and honor with the opposite sex.  Having said that: consent should look and act like clear consent; and the same goes for the other way around.

But we are not enemies, boys and girls; we are on the same side of society as a whole.  The yin and the yang, the forces of masculine and feminine, are dependent upon each other for many things (especially that of reproduction xox).  This relationship between the sexes demands that we respect it, protect it, nurture it, and honor it.... in order to ensure a healthy longevity; and perhaps most important, we must teach it to our children, with each new generation.

To steal a line from a really good movie, He's Just Not That Into You:  "If a guy treats you like he genuinely doesn't give a crap, he genuinely doesn't give a crap."  And likewise, if a girl dresses like a tart, she will be treated like a tart....and so on and so on.  Respect and responsibility go hand in hand.

We all have a responsibility to make it work; and taking the high road in all situations, in all interactions, seems to be the crying, bellowing nature of the day...and without question, calling out to each and every one of us to pay attention.  Nobody is immune, it could happen in a nano-second, so be prepared!  Be completely loaded up and ready to stand on the side of conviction and moral courage.  And then get up the next day prepared to do it all over again.

This is really a war as old as time; good and evil does not get along peacefully, okay?  It never has and it never will.  We must be prepared to fight, but please, fight fair for every inch of mutual respect; we must live with integrity, respective of the golden rules, dating back to the golden child, from one golden sunrise to the next.

Much like the Art of War, some advice is just timeless, priceless, and unmatched -- no matter how old it is, no matter what new age we may be experiencing as a country -- as a boy or a girl in an ever-changing world.

I just love how certain Sun Tzu is..."14. By means of these seven considerations I can forecast victory or defeat.   15.  The general that hearkens to my counsel and acts upon it, will conquer: -- let such a one be retained in command! The general that hearkens not to my counsel nor acts upon it, will suffer defeat:  -- let such a one be dismissed!"

That is powerful stuff. (And to think, it's only chapter one!  yippee skippy)

I'm puzzled and conflicted and upset and all tied up in knots over the scope of our sexual dysfunction in society;  but as sure as Sun Tzu says in certain (say that ten times fast), this problem is not only revealing deep-seated societal woes and liabilities, it is giving us a warning shot across the bow. It points the way towards a certain truth -- that for a society to remain solid and good depends upon the attention and retention of all that is good and mighty and disciplined and morally right, otherwise we fall.  And it can be swift.

Oh, this girl didn't want to start back up with this little itty bitty diary on such a sordid note.  It kinda breaks my heart.  But here we are anyway, in a day that wraps warm blankets and soft music around a sordid tale and somehow, or other, wanders right into the opening strategies of Sun Tzu.  Go hourglass figure under the sheets :).

Hope you all had a beautiful time with family and friends over the holiday -- so grateful to be surrounded with men who treat women with nothing but respect and honor and love. And just as an afterthought, may the last thing you do today is be online x teehee x   wait it out for just one more day and rest in the spirit of thanksgiving for just a wee bit longer, you will thank me.

See you real soon.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Life in the Dark Thing

Dear America,

"Don't divide your life
into things
you can do by yourself
and things
that require My help."

this tidbit came nearing the end of today's devotional, just this morning in Jesus Calling...The point being, in all things, keep the Almighty Present!   Don't do one single thing without help, without thought, without prayer, without continually connecting to the One Who Knows All Things.

And it made me think about what Chris Matthews said only a few days ago, when essentially mocking the Americans who still believe where this nation's true foundation comes from -- and the unwavering connection to our God given rights  along with the free-exercise thereof:

“Well you know what the Republicans say in their platform?” Matthews asked during his show “Hardball” on Thursday night. “The right to bear arms precedes the Constitution. It’s a god-given, sort of theological right. They treat this like religion.”
“I don’t know how to explain it,” Matthews bemoaned. “It’s a sort of essential religious notion to them.”  (and THANK YOU, to the Daily Caller, for this clip/link)
Yes, Chris Matthews --- it's called Nature's Law, and proclaims God as the True Authority over our lives, and as such, as not only the Divine Providence that guides us as individuals, but when Nature's Law works collectively, it's purpose is to protect the will of it's free people in THIS country.  And further -- that our natural rights and the natural law in place does, in fact, precede all other things...especially, and notably, man-made rule or government.

AMERICA is intended to be all about the people GOVERNING themselves; that good self-government provides the foundation, just as a mighty faith in God, provides the ROCK itself.  One by one, step by step, stone by stone -- we are a fortress when unified and living in integrity with certain and absolute Truths.  Chris Matthews, apparently, is either ignorant to our founding principles, the Spirit of Nature's Law altogether (and how it works), or to that which we call God, Itself, and encompassing all of It's Authority and Reign, being Creator of all things large and small.

From the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Proclamation of January 23, 1776:

"It is a maxim that in every government, there must exist, somewhere, a supreme, sovereign, absolute, and uncontrollable power; but this power resides always in the body of the people; and it never was, or can be, delegated to one man, or a few; the great Creator has never given to men a right to vest others with authority over them, unlimited either in duration or  degree."

indeed.
UNALIENABLE rights, is where it's at, people.

William Blackstone describes it like so:

"Those rights, then, which God and nature have established, and are therefore called natural rights, such as are life and liberty, need not the aid of human laws to be more effectually invested in every man that they are; neither do they receive any additional strength when declared by the municipal laws to be inviolable.  On the contrary, no human legislation has the power to abridge or destroy them, unless the owner shall himself commit some act that amounts to a forfeiture."

As then, Skousen, author of The 5000 Year Leap, goes on to explain: "In other words, we may do something ourselves to forfeit the unalienable rights endowed by the Creator, but no one else can TAKE those rights from us without being subject to God's justice. This is what makes certain rights UNALIENABLE.  They are inherent rights given to us by the Creator."

And here's a short list of examples of Certain UNALIENABLE RIGHTS not articulated in the Declaration of Independence, when it broadly exclaims, "that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness"  ----

The RIGHT TO SELF-GOVERNMENT -- and this, probably being the most important, for this gives personal power to respond to all things in keeping with one's very ability to strive to live a life beholden to certain virtues; to be of sound mind and well educated; to live in accordance with a natural, lawful nature, respective of all things, being fully aware that to have and live in a life of integrity, and grace, and faith, begets a pure  and unconditional love for our fellow man and an unimaginable gratitude of life itself, and BEGINS in all ways with the INDIVIDUAL.  But let's continue....

The RIGHT to BEAR ARMS for SELF-DEFENSE.  enough said.

The RIGHT to FREE SPEECH
The RIGHT to FREE PRESS

The RIGHT to a FAIR TRIAL

The RIGHT to enjoy the fruits of ONE'S LABORS

The RIGHT of FREE ASSOCIATION

The RIGHT of FREE CONSCIENCE

The RIGHT to Life and Liberty and Property and Production --  all gallivanting around our individual right in the PURSUIT of Happiness -- ALL EXISTED long before man realized the need to protect such things.  These things are ALL pre-existing conditions!

Which now causes me to pause, in order to recognize something else -- the individual DUTY to protect and preserve that which the Creator has bestowed upon us, as a people, as caretakers:  Life itself, this earth and all of its inhabitants.    Surely, if we frame everything we do, individually and collectively, making an inquiry with conscience first, then how can we fail at nearly anything ventured from this day forward?  In other words, "Don't divide your life into things you can do by yourself and things that require My help."

We are living a life in the dark. The reason, the understanding, the knowledge of our founding fathers is no where to be found in keeping with the utmost respect.  It is lost on people like Chris Matthews, clearly.  And it may as well be considered a thing lost to the whole, if the growing unpopularity of the truth, our truths,  continue.

As the heading to Chapter 13 of The 5000 Year Leap, duly notes: "A Constitution Should be Structured to Permanently Protect the People from the Human Frailties of their Rulers."

indeed.
And therein lies the rub.

I awoke to more definitive news coming out of the Trump Administration of plans to tweak Obamacare by the stroke of the pen, by Executive Order --  and even Senator Rand Paul was pleased?   Tweeting:  "This will be a great plan & a big deal for millions of Americans. I’ve been working with @realDonaldTrump for months on this. Details soon!..
4:55 AM - Oct 10, 2017

and all this girl can say is 'ugh'  -- as much as the news naturally excites me, as it finally opens the free market healthcare system to competition (the missing link all along)...this move characterizes the natural law of Two Wrongs Don't Make a Right axiom to a capital T.  [Isn't there a Hippocratic Oath for Law Makers to do no harm, to uphold and protect America's Constitution, with a hand on the Bible and all?]

This is not how America was supposed to operate.

Oh, yes indeed, this fortress in which we live -- it has a lawn out back....And we cannot flip from one administration to the next in a perpetual game of bad-mitten, lobbying and lobbing the birdie back and forth at one man's whim after another, thereby usurping the law itself.   How many times has an unconstitutional action been justified simply because it was for a "good cause.?"   Answer:  too many.

We mock our foundation, and our Constitution, every day we allow this kind of nonsense to proceed, no matter how worthy the cause, how grand the payback, how fresh the air, or how wonderful it makes us all feel.

It is wrong.
And it is no way to run a true republic.
Somebody turn on the lights!

Oh to have the true freedom to try, buy, sell and fail, is what remains truly at stake when we allow government to take the place of all of our needs and control all of our days and decisions; this is where the little birdie gets stuck in the proverbial net that we call government dependency.  It wasn't meant to be this way; our decisions, our days, were intended to live under a Higher Power, leaving only a small, essentially unseen power delegated -- more like, relegated --  to government.  ALL limits were placed on what government cannot do... by our Constitution.

From John Fiske, an American and historian:

"If the day should ever arrive (which God forbid!)  when the people of the different parts of our country shall allow their local affairs to be administered by prefects sent from Washington, and when the self-government of the states shall have been so far lost as that of the departments of France, or even so closely limited as that of the counties of England -- on that day the political career of the American people will have been robbed of its most interesting and valuable features, and the usefulness of this nation will be lamentably impaired."

oh indeed.
And we are there.

Here, there, and everywhere.
It would seem, that We the People have let it all go.

Welcome to the new world, right Columbus

America -- now, lamentably impaired -- being  an unconscionable, corruption of our foundation, of that which always was, and ever will be, the reign of natural law, enumerated or not, into Law, as Divined by God and written by our founders. Our beautiful Constitution may as well begin, 'wee the little people.'

And then again,
maybe this girl is just being over dramatic.

Anyone?

What do you think Harvey -- any thoughts on self-government?  Here's the latest...

While this is a good quote from Jimmy Kimmel: “I’m not defending Hillary Clinton. Her campaign did take money from what turned out to be a high-profile man who has been accused of sexual harassment multiple times. But not just one of them, by the way—she took money from two of them: Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.”    However, Kimmel -- you left out the chronic sexual harasser she was married to,  Bill Clinton; pretty sure there was a little monetary benefit exchanged there over the years.  just sayin'

And speaking of which, anything?
What say you, Hillary?
Please, do tell, speak of self-government or anything else that may come to mind....

After five days of ignoring the Weinstein reality, Hillary finally broke her silence to say (through a spokesman):   "I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior." ["The statement made no mention of returning contributions from Weinstein"...also noted in the CNN post.]

Hypocrisy IS Hillary's kingdom, and she is president.

oh this is getting old.

Hill, Bill, Harvey...Matthews and Jimmy and Jolie... Trump and Judd....frantically fill our days leading us back to the dark ages sometimes;  while Washington mocks everything our founders ever intended and constructed, with their ever-firm reliance upon the people to keep it so, in duty and delight, in morning, noon, and night.

If there ever was a time to take heed in the words,
"Don't divide your life
into things
 you can do by yourself
and things
that require My help,"

this is IT.

May God bless America.

and think that's all this girl has left to say for one day.

It's a Dirty Preoccupation Thing

Dear America,

"The words of a man's mouth are deep waters,
but the fountain of wisdom is a babbling brook.
It is not good to be partial to the wicked
or to deprive the innocent of justice.
A fool's lips bring him strife,
and his mouth invites a beating.
A fool's mouth is his undoing,
and his lips are a snare to his soul.
The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;
they go down to a man's inmost parts."
Proverbs 18:4-8
Written by King Solomon,
sometime during his reign (c. 970-931 B.C.)

acquiring dirt is a cheap way to get ahead in life; and yet, go figure, it's precisely this kind of luscious morsel, this little nugget of debauchery or shadiness back behind the man, that supplies the sustenance of nearly all political campaigns.

Even though,
finding dirt, amassing dirt, building dirt into a mountain of garbage --
whether it's source comes via foreign or domestic hybrids, having grown from devious seeds --
runs counter to who we are as a people of character, both individually and collectively (no pun there).

What's more, bonafide media outlets -- purveyors of all things news worthy and pertinent to the American people --  have done nothing more than disparage themselves and the business they are in by continuing to dispense ridiculous, hypocritical, politically motivated, run of the mill, gossip.

It's a pathetic waste, and I mean waste, of precious time and energy.

Point of fact -- the DNC provided their own dirt, organically, from within their own organization!  Such is the case, of the leaks of John Podesta's email communications between the powers that be.  Who cares where it came from, or who unearthed it!  It doesn't matter when the truth is, these words spoken between trusted confidants in the middle of a presidential campaign were actually SAID.  The sad reality is, the sentiment and messages between multiple DNC upper echelon, were words spoken, and not only that, they display exactly their motivations -- getting Bernie out, among many other things... SEE a nice list of 18 revelations from Wikileaks, here (thank you, BBC News)....Dated October 27, 2016, by the way.

oh, what have we got here....oooooh here's a morsel now:
In excerpts from one of Mrs Clinton's paid speeches to Wall Street bankers, she said: "Politics is like sausage being made. It is unsavory, and it always has been that way, but we usually end up where we need to be.
"But if everybody's watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So, you need both a public and a private position."

So 412,000 dollars later...
The lengthy investigative report, which described Ukraine as concerned that Trump would favor Russia if he won, said that the effort was coordinated with the Clinton campaign, raising questions of foreign involvement similar to the charges that Russia worked to help Trump.
"Donald Trump wasn't the only presidential candidate whose campaign was boosted by officials of a former Soviet bloc country," said the Politico investigation...
It said that she [Alexandra Chalupa]  pushed information about Trump's former campaign chief Paul Manafort to reporters including Yahoo. Manafort was replaced by Trump amid concerns about his work for Ukraine's former leader, Viktor Yanukovych.

In that Politico investigation post, linked above:  "[the] investigation found evidence of Ukrainian government involvement in the race that appears to strain diplomatic protocol dictating that governments refrain from engaging in one another’s elections."  Translation: and it's not the Trump camp.

real evidence found, huh.

Oh, and just who is this Chalupa?  Politico answers:
A daughter of Ukrainian immigrants who maintains strong ties to the Ukrainian-American diaspora and the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, Chalupa, a lawyer by training, in 2014 was doing pro bono work for another client interested in the Ukrainian crisis and began researching Manafort’s role in Yanukovych’s rise, as well as his ties to the pro-Russian oligarchs who funded Yanukovych’s political party.
oh okay. that's going in the good to know pile.

Returning to the piece by the BBC,

Here's one for compiling that which concerns....speaking out of both sides of the mouth:

"In a leaked 2013 paid speech to the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, Mrs Clinton said that Jordan and Turkey "can't possibly vet all those refugees so they don't know if, you know, jihadists are coming in along with legitimate refugees".
and another:
"In May 2015 Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook pointed to a report that the Clinton Foundation had received money from one of the project's backers, emailing that "the enviros may latch onto this going forward. Have we discussed when she will come out against Keystone?"
He also asks if they should wait until after President Obama vetoes the pipeline, which he did in November 2015. Mrs Clinton announced her opposition in September.
Of course, there is this little bocado hermosa (beautiful morsel), via Eddie Scarry of The Washington Examiner:

Media yawn at Podesta's 'needy Latinos' email

ya see how the media picks and chooses it's dirt?

Clearly, the main stream media [that which is aggregated daily, agriculturally speaking, to be a compound of  80% liberal -- and of those,  an astounding 99.9% hypocrite, and hellbent upon using the medium of manure shoveling and leftist groveling, feeding one another the same slop over and over again, like pot belly pigs]   is uber selective.

The THING IS --

with regards to Don Jr. --
if all we have is a twenty minute meeting to nowhere --  serving up the same sh*t, whether foreign or domestic, as the Clinton Campaign when colluding day and night with the DNC --- then what is there to talk about?

DO WE REALLY HAVE TO KEEP PILING ON THIS REALITY?

AND!

NOT ONE VOTE WAS CHANGED!

President Donald John Trump is our president, fair and square -- no matter how dirty the shirtsleeves.

Colluding with Russia --  hmmmmm -- what have we got.....ummmmm nothing with regards to DJT.

And it's funny, the left winged mainstream media wasn't all that upset when a sitting president actually said via an open mic to a real Russian, just six months before the 2012 elections, this little tidbit from Daniel Halper of The Weekly Standard:

President Obama: "On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space."
President Medvedev: "Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…"
President Obama: "This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility."
President Medvedev: "I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir, and I stand with you."
what?
you're gonna relay to Vladimir Putin,  the Vladimir Putin, that you just had a little conversation with the American president, and that Obama asked Russia to wait until after the election...assuming he would be re-elected, thereby paving the way for all you guys to collude once again, right where you all left off?

oh okay.

oh those pesky, needy, dirty, lousy Russians

Here's a final read for you, for today anyway; it comes via CNN -- but of course, it also comes with an editorial disclaimer that goes like this:  "Jeffrey Lord is a CNN political commentator. Previously, he served in the Reagan administration as a White House political adviser. The views expressed in this commentary are his own. For a counter perspective, read Doug Elmets' analysis."   And yes, even Doug gets the same disclaimer -- but when something IS commentary, doesn't that mean, by definition, it is someone's opinion in the first place?  And further, if actual news stories are told through a liberal bias, shouldn't that also come with full disclosure, too?  As in, "Good Evening, I'm Jim Acosta, and I'm a liberal, and here is the evening's liberal news..."  oh but I digress.  literally and figuratively.

Back to the final read, for it is good.  HERE it is.

And besides, even President Obama told Trump to "stop whining" about Russia interfering with the election...remember this?  “You start whining before the game’s even over?” Obama said at a press conference. “Then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job.”

And just why was Obama so bold to say all of this, like the arrogant little piss-ant he was, crawling up the side of the eastern palisade of dirt upon dirt like he was king of the mountain?  For like everyone else in the country, HE thought Hillary was going to win; HE felt emboldened to kill this dirty narrative likity-split in order to pave the way for HER eminence, Hillary Clinton, to BULLdoze her way back into  D.C. all over again.

You know, I've heard, "it is not good to be partial to the wicked or to deprive the innocent of justice."

Fake dossier, anyone. See Circa.  See Circa.

oh "the words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man's inmost parts."  And then come out his buttocks right on cue.

The news of Russian interference with the 2016 election, as well as the lack of evidence of collusion, let alone any vote being altered or changed or added or subtracted anywhere from sea to shining sea because of it, should justifiably be reduced to trash; we might as well stock it up to being nothing more than a pile of garbage, and immediately set it on fire, sending it in the direction that all election dirt belongs, up in smoke.

Every campaign gets dirt.
Every campaign is at risk of behaving badly to get dirt.
Every campaign considers getting good dirt on the opponent to be as valuable an effort as panning for gold.   That kind of nugget is worth traveling the miles, weathering the snowstorms and all the hills and valleys such aspirations may bring; just ask those who made it all the way to California during the Gold Rush.

Show me a campaign as pure as the driven snow and this girl will still show you a drift -- whether it be of something high or  something low, whether its from lands far, far away or la la land.  The innocent snowflake begins to collect, and with just the right amount of ill begotten wind, slowly each one is carried away until the wee little snowflake becomes a mighty, impenetrable, abominable snow drift.

Adrift is adrift is a drift; and like gossip, it is collaborative, collective,  and contagious in thought, word and deed -- one globs together with another, and then another, and then another.  And so on.

Gossip is not good; it is not news; it is the pure pillaging of fresh unfettered grounds --  taking a plot potentially nutrient abundant, of sound roots, and full of righteous aspirations --  and rototiller-ing the hell out of it;  then, spreading seeds of corruption, contempt and carousal, fully ripe for contaminating the land for as far as the eye can see, and beyond, as we slowly replace living from a place of wisdom with wretchedness.

And this culture of ours -- it not only digs dirt right about now, it thrives on it.

Look in the mirror and see for yourself.

It's on your face,  as well as on mine; if we're not throwing dirt back and forth, it doesn't make it to the Drudge Report, right?  And just look at me -- of all absurdities -- aiming to measure it here on the old G Thing upon any given day.

Here's a riddle:  which comes first, the person or the politics?

Oh it's neither here nor there.
We spend so much of our time talking about things that don't matter, spending less time talking of things that do matter, that in the meantime, we bury ourselves in piles and piles of dirt.

It's a dirty preoccupation.

It's so much on some days, we don't even realize the stench in the air, making it nearly impossible to breathe.

Who knew rarefied air would become more valuable than gold...

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a Fight for Harmony Thing

Dear America,

-- harmony --
by definition, is
"the combination of simultaneously
sounded musical notes
to produce chords and chord progressions
having a pleasing effect."

this little tidbit of inspiration on the day comes courtesy of the Kerry Shook Ministry, as seen on TV just this past Sunday afternoon; Shook began his message, defining harmony, just before redirecting a string of relationship advice to couples experiencing conflict.  His point -- for harmony to actually happen,  each individual note must struggle, even fight, for it's voice to be heard and then blended into the whole.   It is through these subtle and not so subtle differences that we carry a tune, and, hopefully, make beautiful music -- whether we are talking a combination of two, or twenty two, or twenty million.  True harmony sings praises of our differences!

Isn't that something!

And this also calls to mind one of my favorite Coca-Cola commercials of all time...when in the seventies they had a cornucopia of humanity standing side by side, singing..."I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony..."

love love love

It would seem the world has forgotten how to do it -- you know, harmonize around our differences with a modicum of mutual respect and maybe, if we are really lucky, even a little bit of love.

Case in point on the day: THIS, featured on www.fortune.com. just yesterday.

Because it's so uber cool to hate Trump, this man-made plummeting of America's Global Image has now gone politically correct worldwide.  Oh color me surprised.

And now, how about we pause for a good chuckle, as also duly noted in the post comes this:

"Both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, with confidence ratings of 27% and 28% respectively, scored higher than Trump [22%]. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with a confidence rating of 42%, scored highest among the four leaders in the survey."
So out of the 40,447 people polled  -- there is more confidence in either Putin and Xi to "do the right thing in world affairs" than in the guy elected by the American people, fair and square, to be the leader of the free world?  Seriously?  In an age immediately following the discovery of Putin allegedly interfering with an American election and a conniving President Obama doing nothing about it?  And a couple of communists -- representing countries guilty of human rights atrocities for centuries -- get a higher vote of confidence than the American businessman turned president, political lightening rod?  Really?

Where is the world wide contempt for Putin?

Surely, Trump knew his presidency would be met with some discord, but this is ridiculous.

ridiculous.

As The Left continues to harmonize only among themselves -- gathering up it's fair share of global governance comrades, college snowflakes, radical militants, and un-peaceful protestors large and small; and what remains to be seen is their complete inability to co-exist with any person, place or thing singing a different tune.  They don't want harmony one iota; if what you think or believe doesn't jive with the leftist and progressive agenda then they will simply aim to yell over you for as long as it takes, and with all hope, ultimately stomp you completely off the stage.

And heaven forbid we, the people, dare ask or even require complete assimilation into one American culture  -- e pluribus unum -- speaking one language, playing multiple instruments of various talents, appearing at a myriad of venues from sea to shining sea, and complete with each individual soul bearing it all, in duty and delight, with a certain reverence to the nation's foundation of God, Country and Family in perfect harmony.

It's a disgrace, really.

Much of the blame can be thrown directly into the direction of the conductor -- the mainstream media.  For shame, for shame.  The power to twist the truth, or forgo the truth altogether, has been turned into a modern day opera of ill repute.  The mad men and women who make up the leftist dominated journalists (80/20 ratio) are the true obstructionists, the collaborators perpetuating the on-going crime that defies their own profession while putting all Americans at risk and into harm's way.

If it's a fact that the country is split pretty much down the middle 50/50 upon leaning left or right, one just has to wonder, do these leftists really know us, their audience, at all?  What is to be gained by dismissing, drowning out, an entire half of the total supply -- half the chords are being silenced!  Where is the harmony in that?

For more on that view -- go here, to IMPRIMIS, as Michael Goodwin let's it rip.

Here's a really good part:
"Free speech is under assault, most obviously on many college campuses, but also in the news media, which presents a conformist view to its audience and gets a politically segregated audience in return. Look at the letters section in The New York Times—virtually every reader who writes in agrees with the opinions of the paper. This isn’t a miracle; it’s a bubble. Liberals used to love to say, “I don’t agree with your opinion, but I would fight to the death for your right to express it.” You don’t hear that anymore from the Left. Now they want to shut you up if you don’t agree. And they are having some success."
Oh to have that kind of mutual respect......and to simply agree to disagree; and then, taking it but one octave higher, in equal portion, "fight to the death for your right to express it."

Oh hallelujah, alleluia
and can I get an amen...

When coupled in a relationship, it is totally unrealistic to expect to agree on everything, let alone believe your partner is responsible to fulfill your every need; that would be what we call immature.

And besides, where's the real harmony if one person in the relationship just gives in all the time, laying themselves down like a doormat over and over again, denying how they really feel, and leading to a situation where one day they simply walk away flat out broken?

So taking this idea large scale, just how in the world did America get here?

When did it become popular to shout down dissent?
When did it become cool to shut out opposing views?
When did it become uber-worldly by the uber wealthy elitists to decry and attack a sitting and standing and tweeting American president?  macron, anyone    or    merkel, anyone

The thing is, when it comes to all this disdain against President Trump --  what the world, these 40,447 people polled, and leftists don't understand, is that REAL Americans voted for him, in the same manner as real Americans voted for Obama, and every other president, to date.  And if this is an accurate assessment of the amount of hate of one man, in turn, it quickly becomes an accurate assessment of the measure of contempt against half the country.  That's a whole lot of hate.

It's a whole lot of immaturity.
It's a whole lot of unrealistic expectations.
It's a whole lot of selfishness without any concern of the needs of the other half.

Where is the harmony, if the clear and distinct note of tolerance -- one highlighting our differences in a manner that lifts co-existence to a tenor of no return -- is no longer sanctified in society?  If only a hundred years ago we were at war against Germany, is it all that inconceivable to arrive at an age warranting another civil war?  It's just a question.  How far will this obsession of obstruction and oppression, at the hands of The Left, go?

Whatever.  Bring it.  I am not afraid to fight like an American Girl....I will fight to the death for your right and mine, to speak and to sing as freedom rings.

and didn't really want to end on this note,
but that's just where the music stops.

God bless America.

Make it a Good Day, G
