It's About Being True to Being You Thing

Dear America,

"I want to talk to you about the livingness
there is in being yourself.
It has at least the merit of simplicity,
for it must surely be easier
to be oneself
than to be something or somebody else."
The Hidden Power by Judge Thomas Troward

indeed

it seems the winter break over Christmas --- when the girl arrives home and the holidays commence --everything that was part of me being my usual self comes to a screeching halt.  Although hindsight, it doesn't really have a sudden stop, it's more a gradual letting go of things that normally occupied my time, and ever so slightly replacing them with all things surrounding her arrival, her visit, what to eat and what to do first.  And nearly as suddenly as the routine upends itself, it flips once more upon the day she leaves.

And in what seems like an instant, it is back to the life as we know it and all things familiar, promptly and orderly and responsibly come back to view and firmly return to the making of our foundation, grounded in schedules unbroken, goals of the coming year, and fresh in the hopes and dreams of whatever is to come.

And while this diary isn't known for being consistent, if you were to squint your eyes a wee bit, you will find that it is a record (albeit my record....teehee) of the livingness in America; that thing we do, the stuff that seems to keep on keepin' on in the every day, is the brilliant and universal essence of Life Itself.  It continually doesn't disappoint, for unlike the little miss gthang here, IT IS CONSTANT. THIS LIVINGNESS is a constant, receptive, life force that immediately responds to our thoughts and actions and words, and manifests something right back!

Continuing with Troward -- "This up-springing of Life-Essence is not another's -- it is our own.  It does not require deep studies, hard labours, weary journeyings to attain it; it is not the monopoly of this teacher or that writer....It is the innermost of ourselves, and a little common-sense thought as to how anything comes to be anything will soon convince us that the great inexhaustible life must be the very root and substance of us, permeating every fibre of our being."  [and don't you just love the old English spellings here...]

The things is -- it would be high time we make way for the uniqueness of all of us, yes? And at the same time, learning to self-edit may not be a bad idea either.

Indeed, sometimes the varied uniqueness we are surrounded with is at times awkward, embarrassing -- sometimes it is not something we agree with, let alone fully support -- sometimes it is based on the merits, while other times it is not -- it's sometimes factual, and sometimes not so much..............but make no mistake....

the day we begin to censor opinion, control the conversation, dictate to the whole without allowing for our differences to be respectfully heard, tweeted, or facebooked -- is the day this country, foundation and all, submerges into an abyss, never to be seen or heard again.

By definition, by precedent, the living waters springing from the fountain of independence and liberty of this fine Republic must be allowed to spring forward, no matter what.

And as hard as this is to say aloud, even The Donald's

Thing is -- when posed with the question, would you rather live in Haiti or Norway --  one would have to be rather disingenuous not to quickly reply, ah duh, Norway.  [But get a hoot out of CNN's Joan Walsh, just being herself.] Like really, Joan?

The only reason the democrats keep running on this open border, open migration, come one come all, amnesty for everyone, even if they come from s*&hole countries.....is for votes.  Plain and simple.  Oh my, those Dems ---  they just have to be who they are, no matter how lacking in common-sense to the safety and security of America...

Indeed -- Donald is no Ronald -- there is that!  And how.

BUT he is a rather good DONALD J. TRUMP.

Go, status quo, go. (as in go away.)

Oh Trump knows  full well who he is; he knows the art of the deal; he knows how to mess with people; he knows how to put his foot in it; he knows how to use twitter; and just like Obama, he has a pen and is not afraid to use it, either...  He is what he is and who he is.

It is what it is.

This is the livingness of America in real life.

And just get a load of the success...ever since the end of the year's final passage of the tax overhaul!

Immediately, the response from corporate America was bonuses!  And just this last week, Walmart stepped up with making a major announcement....see here.

At least The Donald didn't settle with the status quo, right?

But what can I say....he is sometimes crude...he is a fixer upper in progress, personally and professionally.  But as far and wide as the eye can see, aren't we all?  Evolving in the every day, the Donald's Essence-of-Life is active and alive with a spirit that is his own.  To be the most true to the Law of Life Itself, he is his own man in every way -- and for that, we should applaud his ability to get away with all kinds of sh**.   All of us have imperfections...

While his legacy is under construction, it may appear crude from the naked eye; but after it is all said and done, there will be a legacy.  And it will be The Donald's, just as every president before him.

One more Troward point:

"It is not the Essence-of-Life which has to grow, for that is eternally perfect in itself; but it is our recognition of it that has to grow, and this growth cannot be forced.  It must come by a natural process, the first necessity of which is to abstain from all straining after being something which at the present time we cannot naturally be.  The Law of our Evolution has to put us in possession of certain powers and opportunities, and further development depends on our doing just what these powers and opportunities make it possible for us to do, here and now."

Like it or not -- Trump is president.

He deserves a certain respect in order to do what he has been empowered to do, expressly by the voters, and on behalf of the future of a strong America.  This is what he ran on, and this is, in fact, what his livingness in America is pre-destined and divinely designed.   He IS in possession of certain powers and opportunities to affect the status quo, and make America great again.  Because let's face it, he must have it; otherwise, he would not be sitting in the Oval Office.  This is about law on top of law on top of law.

In essence, America has grown in decline.  The principles that have made us who we are are showing signs of neglect --  and only the little people seem to be in the position to recognize it, being the natural and raw state that it is in.

AMERICA has always been considered an exceptional nation, because AMERICA, thanks to our founders, changed the trajectory of government, upending centuries of oppressive control of the little people, from the foundation up.  For once and for all, government took a massive holiday and didn't come back for quite some time.  Until the here and now.

Which reminds me of this little zinger from President Reagan, as seen on The Patriot Post -- "You can't be for big government, big taxes, and big bureaucracy and still be for the little guy."  And how.

So in this new year, let us strive to be our best; my efforts will focus on being the best G, while for you -- you need to focus on being the best U.  And we can all hope and pray for President Trump to bring his best PDT, too.  From the crude to the refined, we all have a place, a purpose under heaven.

Pretty sure, in the big picture, all things will work out for the best.

And now, this is where I leave you  -- even though there is so much more to say.  I seem to always be leaving my self in a position of wanting more...but that has to be a good thing.  It doesn't hurt anyone to have an appetite for more, better, and ultimately manifesting the very best life has to offer....and all the while just by being yourself.

Every single one of us has this livingness within.

God bless you all in this new year; may the self-exploration continually flow like everlasting spring water to be not only true to ourselves, but strive to be good, decent people,  from sea to shining sea.  GO AMERICA!

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Life in the Dark Thing

Dear America,

"Don't divide your life
into things
you can do by yourself
and things
that require My help."

this tidbit came nearing the end of today's devotional, just this morning in Jesus Calling...The point being, in all things, keep the Almighty Present!   Don't do one single thing without help, without thought, without prayer, without continually connecting to the One Who Knows All Things.

And it made me think about what Chris Matthews said only a few days ago, when essentially mocking the Americans who still believe where this nation's true foundation comes from -- and the unwavering connection to our God given rights  along with the free-exercise thereof:

“Well you know what the Republicans say in their platform?” Matthews asked during his show “Hardball” on Thursday night. “The right to bear arms precedes the Constitution. It’s a god-given, sort of theological right. They treat this like religion.”
“I don’t know how to explain it,” Matthews bemoaned. “It’s a sort of essential religious notion to them.”  (and THANK YOU, to the Daily Caller, for this clip/link)
Yes, Chris Matthews --- it's called Nature's Law, and proclaims God as the True Authority over our lives, and as such, as not only the Divine Providence that guides us as individuals, but when Nature's Law works collectively, it's purpose is to protect the will of it's free people in THIS country.  And further -- that our natural rights and the natural law in place does, in fact, precede all other things...especially, and notably, man-made rule or government.

AMERICA is intended to be all about the people GOVERNING themselves; that good self-government provides the foundation, just as a mighty faith in God, provides the ROCK itself.  One by one, step by step, stone by stone -- we are a fortress when unified and living in integrity with certain and absolute Truths.  Chris Matthews, apparently, is either ignorant to our founding principles, the Spirit of Nature's Law altogether (and how it works), or to that which we call God, Itself, and encompassing all of It's Authority and Reign, being Creator of all things large and small.

From the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Proclamation of January 23, 1776:

"It is a maxim that in every government, there must exist, somewhere, a supreme, sovereign, absolute, and uncontrollable power; but this power resides always in the body of the people; and it never was, or can be, delegated to one man, or a few; the great Creator has never given to men a right to vest others with authority over them, unlimited either in duration or  degree."

indeed.
UNALIENABLE rights, is where it's at, people.

William Blackstone describes it like so:

"Those rights, then, which God and nature have established, and are therefore called natural rights, such as are life and liberty, need not the aid of human laws to be more effectually invested in every man that they are; neither do they receive any additional strength when declared by the municipal laws to be inviolable.  On the contrary, no human legislation has the power to abridge or destroy them, unless the owner shall himself commit some act that amounts to a forfeiture."

As then, Skousen, author of The 5000 Year Leap, goes on to explain: "In other words, we may do something ourselves to forfeit the unalienable rights endowed by the Creator, but no one else can TAKE those rights from us without being subject to God's justice. This is what makes certain rights UNALIENABLE.  They are inherent rights given to us by the Creator."

And here's a short list of examples of Certain UNALIENABLE RIGHTS not articulated in the Declaration of Independence, when it broadly exclaims, "that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness"  ----

The RIGHT TO SELF-GOVERNMENT -- and this, probably being the most important, for this gives personal power to respond to all things in keeping with one's very ability to strive to live a life beholden to certain virtues; to be of sound mind and well educated; to live in accordance with a natural, lawful nature, respective of all things, being fully aware that to have and live in a life of integrity, and grace, and faith, begets a pure  and unconditional love for our fellow man and an unimaginable gratitude of life itself, and BEGINS in all ways with the INDIVIDUAL.  But let's continue....

The RIGHT to BEAR ARMS for SELF-DEFENSE.  enough said.

The RIGHT to FREE SPEECH
The RIGHT to FREE PRESS

The RIGHT to a FAIR TRIAL

The RIGHT to enjoy the fruits of ONE'S LABORS

The RIGHT of FREE ASSOCIATION

The RIGHT of FREE CONSCIENCE

The RIGHT to Life and Liberty and Property and Production --  all gallivanting around our individual right in the PURSUIT of Happiness -- ALL EXISTED long before man realized the need to protect such things.  These things are ALL pre-existing conditions!

Which now causes me to pause, in order to recognize something else -- the individual DUTY to protect and preserve that which the Creator has bestowed upon us, as a people, as caretakers:  Life itself, this earth and all of its inhabitants.    Surely, if we frame everything we do, individually and collectively, making an inquiry with conscience first, then how can we fail at nearly anything ventured from this day forward?  In other words, "Don't divide your life into things you can do by yourself and things that require My help."

We are living a life in the dark. The reason, the understanding, the knowledge of our founding fathers is no where to be found in keeping with the utmost respect.  It is lost on people like Chris Matthews, clearly.  And it may as well be considered a thing lost to the whole, if the growing unpopularity of the truth, our truths,  continue.

As the heading to Chapter 13 of The 5000 Year Leap, duly notes: "A Constitution Should be Structured to Permanently Protect the People from the Human Frailties of their Rulers."

indeed.
And therein lies the rub.

I awoke to more definitive news coming out of the Trump Administration of plans to tweak Obamacare by the stroke of the pen, by Executive Order --  and even Senator Rand Paul was pleased?   Tweeting:  "This will be a great plan & a big deal for millions of Americans. I’ve been working with @realDonaldTrump for months on this. Details soon!..
4:55 AM - Oct 10, 2017

and all this girl can say is 'ugh'  -- as much as the news naturally excites me, as it finally opens the free market healthcare system to competition (the missing link all along)...this move characterizes the natural law of Two Wrongs Don't Make a Right axiom to a capital T.  [Isn't there a Hippocratic Oath for Law Makers to do no harm, to uphold and protect America's Constitution, with a hand on the Bible and all?]

This is not how America was supposed to operate.

Oh, yes indeed, this fortress in which we live -- it has a lawn out back....And we cannot flip from one administration to the next in a perpetual game of bad-mitten, lobbying and lobbing the birdie back and forth at one man's whim after another, thereby usurping the law itself.   How many times has an unconstitutional action been justified simply because it was for a "good cause.?"   Answer:  too many.

We mock our foundation, and our Constitution, every day we allow this kind of nonsense to proceed, no matter how worthy the cause, how grand the payback, how fresh the air, or how wonderful it makes us all feel.

It is wrong.
And it is no way to run a true republic.
Somebody turn on the lights!

Oh to have the true freedom to try, buy, sell and fail, is what remains truly at stake when we allow government to take the place of all of our needs and control all of our days and decisions; this is where the little birdie gets stuck in the proverbial net that we call government dependency.  It wasn't meant to be this way; our decisions, our days, were intended to live under a Higher Power, leaving only a small, essentially unseen power delegated -- more like, relegated --  to government.  ALL limits were placed on what government cannot do... by our Constitution.

From John Fiske, an American and historian:

"If the day should ever arrive (which God forbid!)  when the people of the different parts of our country shall allow their local affairs to be administered by prefects sent from Washington, and when the self-government of the states shall have been so far lost as that of the departments of France, or even so closely limited as that of the counties of England -- on that day the political career of the American people will have been robbed of its most interesting and valuable features, and the usefulness of this nation will be lamentably impaired."

oh indeed.
And we are there.

Here, there, and everywhere.
It would seem, that We the People have let it all go.

Welcome to the new world, right Columbus

America -- now, lamentably impaired -- being  an unconscionable, corruption of our foundation, of that which always was, and ever will be, the reign of natural law, enumerated or not, into Law, as Divined by God and written by our founders. Our beautiful Constitution may as well begin, 'wee the little people.'

And then again,
maybe this girl is just being over dramatic.

Anyone?

What do you think Harvey -- any thoughts on self-government?  Here's the latest...

While this is a good quote from Jimmy Kimmel: “I’m not defending Hillary Clinton. Her campaign did take money from what turned out to be a high-profile man who has been accused of sexual harassment multiple times. But not just one of them, by the way—she took money from two of them: Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.”    However, Kimmel -- you left out the chronic sexual harasser she was married to,  Bill Clinton; pretty sure there was a little monetary benefit exchanged there over the years.  just sayin'

And speaking of which, anything?
What say you, Hillary?
Please, do tell, speak of self-government or anything else that may come to mind....

After five days of ignoring the Weinstein reality, Hillary finally broke her silence to say (through a spokesman):   "I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior." ["The statement made no mention of returning contributions from Weinstein"...also noted in the CNN post.]

Hypocrisy IS Hillary's kingdom, and she is president.

oh this is getting old.

Hill, Bill, Harvey...Matthews and Jimmy and Jolie... Trump and Judd....frantically fill our days leading us back to the dark ages sometimes;  while Washington mocks everything our founders ever intended and constructed, with their ever-firm reliance upon the people to keep it so, in duty and delight, in morning, noon, and night.

If there ever was a time to take heed in the words,
"Don't divide your life
into things
 you can do by yourself
and things
that require My help,"

this is IT.

May God bless America.

and think that's all this girl has left to say for one day.

It's About a Crime Against Country Thing

Dear America,

Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
Oh Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.  For it is in giving that we receive; it is in the pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.  Amen.
yes, this girl has headlined a blog with this one before; let it not diminish its deep and soulful plea, as each and every one of us find our way today.

the prayer just seems to cover it all

but does this really require of us to pray for those we consider to be an enemy -- and further, understand them, pardon them, console them, and maybe even extend an arm of forgiveness?  When something totally evil in nature doesn't jive with our own hearts and minds,  how is it possible to reconcile the two extremes with a loving heart, a peaceful spirit, and a hopeful look to the future for making things better all the way around the globe and back again without going insane in the process?

For me, the Southern Poverty Law Center is what comes to mind.   For here is a place, an organization, a community of fellow Americans, who choose to preach hatred, spread hatred, inspire hatred across the nation....and then, stash millions of dollars off-shore!  (a non-profit, my tiny tushy)

For today, anyway, this is primarily about the organization taking the confederate monument take down, just a wee bit too far.  (Although, if you have been a frequent visitor here, we have covered a wide range of stories linking to the SPLC over the last few days.)

The latest:  see here, at The Daily Caller

Just as 400 soldiers based at Fort Hood are carrying out orders to assist Houston rescue efforts, the SPLC is basically calling for a mutiny against our own domestic tranquility -- and as crazy as it may sound, they are totally okay with inciting havoc while leading parts of America into complete chaos; they are totally okay with seeking ways of violence and brutality and upheaval and civil unrest, as they perpetuate and propagate and permeate a quite irrational approach to dealing with the issues of America's confederate past.

Calling for all anarchists, Antifa, and Leftist activists to follow through on what may as well be a direct order is fully expected -- and perhaps even supported by the mainstream media at this point....pretty sure the talking points have already been widely distributed.   (like so, with some old news on how Media Marches To Orders,  and like so and so, describing some fairly new news, understanding the Media Bubble, from Politico)

But back to the SPLC staging a coup against the United States of America as an ongoing attempt to take America down, beginning with confederate monuments, moving on to schools and Army Bases, and all the while, not accepting a simple name change as an appropriate answer  ---  this is stunning news.

STUNNING.

And it must be investigated by the FBI, as well as, the Department of Homeland Security; but first things first, this calls for an immediate response:  shutting the doors of the SPLC for conspiracy to band together with the intent to attack the nation's armed forces.  Um.  No. You can't commit conspiracy to commit crimes against country, no way, no how -- and as a non-profit, you can't shelter profits off-shore......

Where are the authorities?????????

Oh my, not sure there is anything else to say on the matter, except maybe this:

The divide of this great nation just keeps getting wider and deeper and broader... vigilante-style.

It almost feels like we are collectively going backwards; and yet, how can that be when we are clearly drowning in a sea of progressives?   Oh the irony is rich indeed; its like scallops beurre blanc, followed by pasta with foie gras and truffles, followed by brown-butter risotto with lobster tails,  and but of course, ending with a simple flan  or a melange of gourmet cheeses for dessert, your choice.

Oh Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

amen
amen
amen

It's High Time We Get Our Priorities Straight Thing

Dear America,

"As water reflects a face,
so a man's heart reflects the man."
Thank you, Solomon...Proverbs 27:19

indeed

Providence, as Divine as It is, is surely with us, enabling us to get through anything and everything -- be it a Clinton presidency, a Bush presidency, an Obama presidency, and even a Trump presidency (which at this present time, is still standing, and standing fierce....well, at least he is.).   Forever a Never Hillary, while Never being a Never Trump-er, my heart and vote were one and the same come election day, come hell or high water.  I may have even said that phrase aloud; surely it came with a prayer.

Thing is, as I believe anyway, Divine Providence has been with us from the start, built into our hearts and minds and spirit, because our founders recognized something, and something huuuuge.  America has been the exception -- ergo exceptional -- by the making of the INDIVIDUAL king, and as long as the INDIVIDUAL held up to its end of the bargain, all would be well, and well indeed, and there would literally be no end

As long as the INDIVIDUAL stayed on the path of right action -- aiming to move and witness and relate to one another in the same spirit as our Creator, with awesome intelligence built in, being fully made in God's image -- then surely all the days of our life would be good.  Of course, not without adversity -- but all good, all God, as each day would come same as the day before only asking of us one thing: to stay connected to the Source; for a people, individually and collectively, acting in faith, responding with love, and uniting wholly under One God, indivisible, can do anything when we put our hearts and minds together.

So the thing is, just how can this formula continue to work if we take out the foundation right out from under all of our feet?

Newsflash:  It Doesn't

It is no accident that the more the establishment in government has ballooned to promote the idiocy that the government is the one who can fulfill and satisfy and make tangible every individual need, the less the people are inclined to know God and rely on God, first and foremost.

In my favorite read, The Five Thousand Year Leap, W. Cleon Skousen briefly summarizes something pretty profound from John Locke's thoughts in, Essay Concerning Human Understanding, and proceeds to give us this little gem:

"In it Locke pointed out that it defies the most elementary aspects of reason and experience to presuppose that everything in existence developed as a result of fortuitous circumstance.  The mind, for example, will not accept the proposition that the forces of nature, churning about among themselves, would ever produce a watch, or even a lead pencil, let alone the marvelous intricacies of the human eye, the ear, or even the simplest of organisms found in nature.  All these are the product of intelligent design and high precision engineering."  Again, that's Skousen paraphrasing a Locke thought...
and Skousen then added this in the very next paragraph....and I add it now just for our own amusement (because a little levity is good right about now) --

"Locke felt that a person who calls himself an "atheist" is merely confessing that he has never dealt with the issue of the Creator's existence.  Therefore, to Locke an atheist would be to that extent "irrational," and out of touch with reality; in fact, out of touch with the most important and fundamental reality."

wow, right?
Mind.  Blown.

So I look about now, at the forces of nature afoot -- whether it be the floodwaters and unrelenting rain in the city of Houston and its surrounding counties, or the floodwaters raging within the halls of government, leading America into total bankruptcy in every way -- and my heart bleeds and my mind explodes.

Here is just a mix of stories to churn about in your head --

The greatest fears of our founders is coming about -- the totality of our goodness for which it stands and from which it comes,  is being torn asunder.

Communists have always known the secret in the skillful takeover of the mind, setting up for the moral authority to be handed down by man, allowing for the oppressor to take command:  simply take away thy faith in God.  (For more on that, go to another Skousen read:  The Naked Communist)

Our strength does not come from Washington D.C., people.

Our courage does not come from Mitch McConnell -- or anything close to that.

Our ability to do the right thing, for the right reasons, at the right time comes from somewhere deep inside our being -- for as its been often said before, we are human beings not human doings.

The kind of peace that passes all understanding only comes from one place and nothing can substitute God....even if it sounds almost the same -- as in everything ending with dot GOV dot COM.

Looking to government to act according to its purest of nature is a lost cause completely; for what is government but a group of human beings with human frailties and weaknesses.  And yet our entire culture has wrapped itself around it like its the mother of all mothers, the end all and the be all of every living thing we do.

This is a good read, although from a decade ago, and it comes via The Heritage Foundation, titled:

read it.

And now a word from our sponsor, George Washington, from his Farewell Address:

...But this leads at length
to a more formal and permanent despotism. The
disorders and miseries which result gradually incline
the minds of men to seek security and repose
in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner
or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more
able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns
this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation
on the ruins of public liberty.

and THIS, too:
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to
political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable
supports. In vain would that man claim
the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert
these great pillars of human happiness, these
firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.
The mere politician, equally with the pious man,
ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume
could not trace all their connections with private
and public felicity. Let it simply be asked where is
the security for property, for reputation, for life, if
the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths,
which are the instruments of investigation in courts
of justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition
that morality can be maintained without
religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence
of refined education on minds of peculiar
structure, reason and experience both forbid us to
expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion
of religious principle.

Did you know that the U.S. Senate reads George's Farewell Address every year?  It began in the year 1862, being used as a "morale-boosting gesture" during the dark days of our Civil War....according to THIS page, anyway, @ wide world without end amen   dot  senate   dot  gov...  Senator Ben Sasse read it this year.

Given the level of productivity and depravity coming from the flood of oppressive legislation and the clear, unmitigated, unconscionable, usurpation of America's Constitution over the last hundred years, what began in 1862, with honorable intention and providence, has seemingly become nothing more than empty sentiment, for appearances only, my guess.  Wonder if any of our fine gentlemen and ladies are even listening,  with the ears that which our good God gave them?   Are they even aware, with eyes wide open by the gift of God, of all that is seen and unseen through the human eyes and human spirit and human mind of good ole George?  For me thinks not, as his masterful recommendations and thoughts point directly to our downfall, the consequences of our ways are here.... and here to stay unless we do something about it.

And don't even get me started -- it's not just about the waywardness of our fine Senate.  C'mon, now, we are all at fault for the reality we make, good, bad, or indifferent.

-- Things this girl knows today --

twenty trillion dollars in debt, with no end in sight, and with half a nation totally dependent upon government to live -- is a nation underwater

Instagram and Twitter and Facebook are not the Way, the Truth, and the Light.

attacking Christian groups and individuals and getting away with it, takes a nation, once firmly under God, nowhere good  -- it becomes a nation drowning in a soul-less, secular disaster

growing dependency upon government over God, goes against everything this nation was founded upon -- taking with it our firm foundation, taking with it our brotherly love, taking with it our peaceful co-existence with our fellow man, and all the while, taking with it our capacity as individuals to rise above our troubles and adversity to grow good character, taking with it our capacity to excel in our life's work following our God-Given purpose, and in the end, crushes our ability to live in liberty and freedom for one and for all, and albeit, collectively in the end.  This is life underwater and sitting at the bottom of an ocean of a new deity called GOV.

This should smack each and every one of us across the face, just as much as the horrific scenes coming out of Houston.  It's just high time we get our priorities straight.

and to that end, I must depart.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Imaginations Gone Wild Thing

Dear America,

 "Some women wait for something
to change and nothing
does change
so they change
themselves."

it's a good morning in America --
it's (as in everything)   is all about to be made possible again,
and isn't that something to revel and redeem!
From revolutions to revelations, we come to the precise spot we are meant to be on this day, and likewise, as in every day, oh thanks be to God.  Sure -- there are no guarantees but let's go on, shall we?

Just look at how just the possibility of something happening makes things happen....[Bloomberg/GM link inserted here.]  OR this one [Wall Street Journal/Walmart]

[However, wee g must add, there are areas of business not moving forward -- like this little hometown revolution....cue the news about the Chargers unable to find a moving company to do the job. “We decree, henceforth, that we shall unite as a perfect union of professional movers in agreeance (sic) to not aid the San Diego Chargers' move to Los Angeles.” funny.  and many tanks to Fox News for that.]

This time eight years ago, we rang in hope and change as if our lives depended on it while ignoring all the signs; dismissing all questionable associations; filling up all resume holes with our own imaginations of something more splendid than ever before.  For Barack Hussein Obama was the first African-American to reach such heights, and by golly, we were going to make him fit and no one, as in no one,  was allowed to say an unflattering word or even think a suspect thought.  It is done, so be quiet.

The community organizer, the community antagonize-r, the community divider --- IN CHIEF -- became the Decider-In-Chief with his Marxist/Social Re-Engineering/Redistribution of Wealth ideology leading the way.  And this nation, built as a Republic, mind you, became the target of change in ways we never thought possible, and nearly entirely through the orders and regulations and lawlessness of the Executive Branch. [The link, above, from Nate Jackson, 1/11/17, a contributor @The Patriot Post ]

Of course, it would be really sad to have one oligarchy replaced with another, wouldn't it?

But having said that --  this Trump guy has promised a return to sanity in the federal government arena, and surely he will use any and all means possible, and this may very well include much of the same executive branch tactics as the previous administration...so ugh, and tell me, is this a case where two wrongs really make a right?  [It's just a good question...relax]

Here's a quote from Trump for you:

"I am going to lower your taxes; I am going to get rid of massive amounts of unnecessary regulations, on business and in your life; I'm going to unleash American energy; I'm going to repeal and replace Obamacare; I'm going to appoint justices to the Supreme Court who will follow the Constitution; I'm going to rebuild our military and take care of our vets; I'm going to save the 2nd Amendment; I'm going to stop illegal immigration and drugs coming into our country, and yes, we will build a wall. And Mexico will pay."

Just the sound of it makes me go hum.
Oh, the possibilities!

again.

Looking down to an open page of a book laying on my desk --  Something More - Excavating Your Authentic Self by Sarah Ban Breathnach -- it's open to page 134, and the quote leading into this excerpt is from Audre Lorde and goes something like this:  "Some women wait for something to change and nothing does change so they change themselves."

wait.   hold up.  I'm gonna scroll up and make that mine, too; as in my opening...and many tanks to Sarah and Audre for the assist.  And Shirley, this feeling inside me, it must be how manufacturing and factory workers feel right about now, right?

What I love about this quote extends to all of America; we are not waiting, we are not regulated by the fear of starting something; we are not listening to the doubters and the naysayers; we are positively sure of the possibility of change, starting within, perhaps one by one and step by step, and just making the move.  We are no longer waiting for someone else to do it for us and no longer pending something else to happen first.

It's almost as if all possibilities are revealed at once and we are suddenly free to do whatever we want. Be the Change, right?  Be the change and all else falls into place,

Dare I say, when we venture to make and do and be for the common good, the Universe supports this can-do attitude fully; IT not only says yes, it multiplies.  And it multiplies big time....as in huuuuuge.

Although we do not have a crystal ball, nor can we see the days ahead for we only get one day at a time...but never discount the enormous strength we gain just from beginning to think aright.

Everything we imagine -- good, bad or indifferent -- begins in the mind.  It is powerful stuff.

Actually, this mind links us to the Creator of all things seen and unseen.  And it is when we fold our hands and close our eyes and pray, we find ourselves tapped into the Original Source of all Good, from which we collaborate and dream and build and do great things together.

One of my favorite Sunday preachers, Dr. Charles Stanley, gave a visual this past week that seems to be a perfect fit right about now...But first,
Let me preface this with his topic on the day -- gaining the proper defenses to an immoral world, and finding the inner courage to say "no" to things, and encouraging us to make good choices, and staying on the right path in the accompaniment of God.  K?  Got it?

So while he's talking, he stops for a moment and clasps his fingers together as if he's about to recite that little jingle, "here's the church, here's the steeple, open the door and here's all the people..." and says, "here's your defense, it's a fence."  And immediately spans the room showing the interlocking digits on a horizontal plane......instantly appearing more like a couple of 2 X 4's,  we made ourselves a fence; brilliant, right?  The best offense is a strong de-fence, and when we humbly pray for guidance, grace, mercy, a new outlook on life, a new job, a baby, a new country....the possibilities are endless and the answers are revealed.

I was never a Trumper -- but now I am.  For better or worse,  he is the hope and change of this new day in America.

The left will try and try as they might, make him illegitimate.  [And that's a really good post from The Daily Caller...love you guys]

So go ahead.  Say what you want to say, the possibilities are endless...

Go ahead, and stay stuck in the past;
Go ahead, and cement yourselves to an ideology that does a world of nothing for so many (see the outcome of last eight years);
Go ahead, and protest and riot and undermine  every good thing that comes around the bend,
Go ahead and moveon dot org.

And let's just see where that attitude gets you four years from now, shall we?

Dare I add, let's just see where being unable to adapt, being totally and systematically intolerable to other points of view, being sorely unified in close-mindedness and incapable of even having an adult conversation about another way to live and govern and have our being,  and thereby wholly and completely wallowing in that kind of commitment to NOT change....GO AHEAD.  But mark my words, YOU (the one who makes all your choices) will surely be missing out on something more, something that might even be good for you.

Rest assured, this girl has her de-fences up and ready, fully engaged and determined to press on! Bring on the change that will come with this new administration and let's get at it.

Friday can't come soon enough.

For this wee little g CAN imagine the possibilities.... and from this perspective, it's all good...thank you, God.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a Love In Thing

Dear America,

so here's vintage G, a notable quotable worthy of coming around again to start the day...

"Hope that, in future,
all is well,
everyone eats free,
no one must work,
all just sit around feeling love
for one another."
-- George Saunders
I love this quote.

I love this quote...because it couldn't be any more ridiculous, impossible, or unrealistic.

I love this quote...as it is plastered on the side of a brown bag, dished out by Chipotle -- easily the most expensive fast food restaurant in the neighborhood.  Why?  Because good quality is expensive, it's as simple as that; but ironically, it still can't prevent the quality of ingredients to become compromised somewhere in between the farm and table.

I love this quote...especially if you put it side by side with the lyrics of President Obama's favorite song of the year:  Kendrick Lamar's How Much a Dollar Cost.

How much a dollar really cost?
The question is detrimental, paralyzin' my thoughts
Parasites in my stomach keep me with a gut feeling, y'all
Gotta see how I'm chillin' once I park this luxury car
Hopping out feeling big as Mutombo
20 on pump six dirty Marcellus called me Dumbo
20 years ago, can't forget
Now I can lend 'em a ear or two how to stack these residuals
Tenfold, the liberal concept of what men'll do
20 on 6, he didn't hear me
Indigenous African only spoke Zulu
My American tongue was slurry
Walked out the gas station
A homeless man with a silly tan complexion
Asked me for ten grand
Stressin' about dry land
Deep water, powder blue skies that crack open
A piece of crack that he wanted, I knew he was smokin'
He begged and pleaded
Asked me to feed him twice, I didn't believe it
Told him, "Beat it"
Contributin' money just for his pipe, I couldn't see it
He said, "My son, temptation is one thing that I've defeated
Listen to me, I want a single bill from you
Nothin' less, nothin' more
I told him I ain't have it and closed my door
Tell me how much a dollar cost
It's more to feed your mind
Water, sun and love, the one you love
All you need, the air you breathe
He's starin' at me in disbelief
My temper is buildin', he's starin' at me, I grab my key
He's starin' at me, I started the car and tried to leave
And somethin' told me to keep it in park until I could see
A reason why he was mad at a stranger like I was supposed to save him
Like I'm the reason he's homeless and askin' me for a favor
He's starin' at me, his eyes followed me with no laser
He's starin' at me, I notice that his stare is contagious
Cause now I'm starin' back at him, feelin' some type of disrespect
If I could throw a bat at him, it'd be aimin' at his neck
I never understood someone beggin' for goods
Askin' for handouts, takin' it if they could
And this particular person just had it down pat
Starin' at me for the longest until he finally asked
Have you ever opened to Exodus 14?
A humble man is all that we ever need
Tell me how much a dollar cost
It's more to feed your mind
Water, sun and love, the one you love
All you need, the air you breathe
Guilt trippin' and feelin' resentment
I never met a transient that demanded attention
They got me frustrated, indecisive and power trippin'
Sour emotions got me lookin' at the universe different
I should distance myself, I should keep it relentless
My selfishness is what got me here, who the fuck I'm kiddin'?
So I'ma tell you like I told the last bum, crumbs and pennies
I need all of mines, and I recognize this type of panhandlin' all the time
I got better judgement, I know when nigga's hustlin'
Keep in mind, when I was strugglin', I did compromise
Now I comprehend, I smell grandpa's old medicine
Reekin' from your skin, moonshine and gin
Nigga your babblin', your words ain't flatterin', I'm imaginin'
Denzel be lookin' at O'Neal
Cause now I'm in sad thrills, your gimmick is mediocre, the jig is up
I seen you from a mile away losin' focus
And I'm insensitive, and I lack empathy
You looked at me and said, "Your potential is bittersweet"
I looked at him and said, "Every nickel is mines to keep"
He looked at me and said, "Know the truth, it'll set you free
You're lookin' at the Messiah, the son of Jehova, the higher power
The choir that spoke the word, the Holy Spirit, the nerve
Of Nazareth, and I'll tell you just how much a dollar cost
The price of having a spot in Heaven, embrace your loss, I am God"
I wash my hands, I said my grace, what more do you want from me?
Tears of a clown, guess I'm not all what is meant to be
Shades of grey will never change if I condone
Turn this page, help me change, so right my wrongs

Isn't that something. [yeah, that's a statement]

It's called how much a dollar costs, meeting up with moral authority, meeting up with the street.  I get it, Mr. President.   And yes, it may have been overkill, but I chose to give you all the words, so that you would have all the 'data' in front of you, and therby allow you to make up your own mind.  Shoot me.

I love this, the refrain:

It's more to feed your mind
Water, sun and love, the one you love
All you need, the air you breathe

Indeed.
And I, too, hope in the future, all is well, everyone eats free, no one must work, all just sit around feeling love for one another...and sounding like we are all on crack.

And now -- straight from Iowa -- here's Hillary!

"We've got to do everything we can to weed out hate and plant love and kindness,"

Isn't it rich; aren't they a pair; me here at last on the ground; you in mid-air...Send in the Clowns.

For the full tilt on the Hill, go to the AP, here.

We are moving on now, redirecting to a member of the House Homeland Security, Rep. Loretta Sanchez  D-CA (who is currently campaigning to take over Sen. Barbara Boxer's seat, as she is retiring finally). Let's just say she isn't confusing love and compassion and naivete with love and reality and eyes wide open.   Sanchez telling Larry King:

...But certainly, we know that there is a small group–and we don’t know how big that is, it can be anywhere between five and 20 percent, from the people that I speak to–that Islam is their religion and who have a desire for a caliphate and to institute that in any way possible, and in particular go after what they consider Western norms, our way of life. They are not content enough to have their way of looking at the world. They want to put their way on everybody in the world. And, again, I don’t know how big that is, and depending on who you talk to, but they’re certainly, they are willing to go to extremes. They are willing to use, and they do use, terrorism. And it is in the name of a very wrong way of looking at Islam.
I don’t fault the president on his verbiage. I want him to understand it–to go after this ISIL, ISIS, Daesh state that people are trying to form. Because it’s going after us.

A small group.

Okay, that's a start. [And thank you, Breitbart -- for the full story, go here.]

Let's take a look at this universe sans the pink fluffy unicorns, shall we, Hillary?

In it's entirety, we are looking at a percentage of nearly 2 billion Muslims around the globe, who, for the most part, are all living in love, peace and harmony, of course.  Isn't that just fabulous!  Can you feel the love?  So what are we really talking about here?

Sanchez has the guts to throw out a number.  And just to be clear, it's the number of Muslims who just might get a tickle all up and down their leg about the possibility of reaching the goal of an Islamic caliphate.  And that number is at, or around, 5 to 20%, she says.

So, Loretta, what you are saying is that anywhere from 5 to 400 million Muslims might feel inclined to kill the infidels, and they agree with the moves of ISIS/ISIL tomayto/tomahto?  That's not a whole lot of love.  That's a whole lot of hate; but more important, maybe we should alert the media.

Notable:
The United States military
only registers at, or around, 2 million troops,
 including the reserves...

What's debatable, it would seem, is that pesky thin line between love and hate.

And finally on this day,

let's bring in how love Trumps hate, right Hillary...now nearly giddy and clinging to the new campaign pot shot like the leftist queen on crack that she is...But to ensure we are all on the same page, let's begin with what Trump actually said.

All he said was this  (and it's totally notable and quotable for this blog-able) --

"Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on," his campaign statement said.
He wasn't asking for the Muslims who are already here, and some even being American, to go back to their home country...

He wasn't calling on the "total and complete shutdown" to last forever -- but only until such time "our country's representatives can figure out what is going on"...

"Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,"
If anywhere from 5 million to 400 million Muslims seek the caliphate and hate infidels so much, they would systematically choose not to live in harmony, but to kill -- then wouldn't Trumps proposal be notable, quotable, reasonable, responsible and more important, doable...just until our country's representatives can figure our what in tarnation is going on... and figure out how to secure our border... and figure out how to protect Americans from every entry into the country?

Look at history....here.

The San Bernardino shooter, Tashfeen Malik, committed fraud on the famed fiance visa program to enter the United States.

And she is just one out of anywhere from 5 to 400 million.  One down, 399 million to go?  And may I have mine with a side of chips fried in pork fat, but I digress.

And all this happening while one of our current potential presidents of these United States is insisting on meeting up with this Muslim conundrum with simply more love?

Are you kidding me?

Love may not cost a thing, but freedom isn't free; while our Constitution was designed almost entirely to protect the people from it's leaders.   And this is amusing -- as history proves time and time again, that every UNconstitutional action was often justified by a "good cause."

Thomas Jefferson:

It would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights; that confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism; free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy, and not confidence, which prescribes limited constitutions to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power; that our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no farther, our confidence may go...In questions of power, then, let no more be said of confidence in man, BUT BIND HIM DOWN FROM MISCHIEF BY THE CHAINS OF THE CONSTITUTION.  [The 5000 Year Leap, p.164]
And besides, since 1952, the Immigration and Nationality Act included this little number:

“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate,” the 1952 law states.
Boom.  Tanks, Daily Caller.  It is a thin line between love and hate...but the great divide comes about when dealing with what to do about it.  But reality tells us -- somewhere between the farm and table we have issues within our immigration/refugee/visa system and it's exhibiting a total utter breakdown in common sense, and it's hitting us squarely in the gut.

But having said all this and that  --

ONE might think that the peaceful, fun-loving, compassionate, moderate Muslims living in America would all wholeheartedly agree with Trump's  kind of selective reasoning on immigration.

Some do.  And then punished promptly.

Well, as much as I love this day and hate to have to bring it to a close...albeit abruptly, it is finished.

happy friday...

don't hate and be good...

just sit around feeling love for one another...

that's really all you need,

It's No Time Like the Present Thing

Dear America,

"Those who expect to reap
the blessings of freedom must,
like men,
undergo the fatigue
of supporting it."

Thomas Paine

I love that part, "like men."

And to think, it's so sexist, isn't it!...Oh the shame.  Oh the crime. Oh Thomas Paine -- I love you, man.

And Oh how I dream of a time gone by when men were men and women were women and nobody was confused about anything.  I know -- thump on the head to me.   Whatever.
Yesterday -- Veteran's Day -- I spent the better part of a morning surrounded by MEN, veterans, real men, with their service to America dating back twenty...fifty, sixty, seventy years...and many of them were seated with their wives of twenty...forty, fifty, sixty years right next to them.  It was a beautiful thing, let me tell you.

About a dozen boys of the Camp Pendleton Young Marines stood at attention throughout the entire forty-five minute program -- which took great skill, considering less than six feet in front of them, the "half-time show" featured a dance troupe from the local school, Santa Fe Christian, tapping out a fine boogie woogie number (of course, accompanied by the school band)  -- to a classic, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B."

The girls were good!   And almost better than The Andrews Sisters...

Giving high marks on costume -- dressed in red satin and gloves -- the modern day ensemble takes home a decent honorable mention.  But the trophy, that goes to the sisters simply on points for originality and, for something that I like to call --  setting the bar; and certainly not to discount the many years of service in the business of keeping the morale up for our boys.   Hoo rah.

The thing is, we know what "better" is. It's a cut above.

Take  Jeb Bush, at Tuesday night's debate -- he failed to make something of his campaign.  He failed to stand out and hit a higher bar.  He may have done better than expected, in the eyes of some, but better isn't always enough, is it.   (Not a question.)

Now Ted Cruz did better than Jeb;  he left his mark in the hearts and minds of those listening.

Marco Rubio did better than Jeb, and quite possibly even better than Cruz; he left his mark in the hearts and minds of those listening.

But like most things in life -- it's subjective.

I'm sure for some people, what Thomas Paine said, might be offensive.  Take it out of context, take it out of the 1700's and thrust it into the year 2015 and we have immediate controversy.  But let's not quibble, shall we.

"Those who expect to reap
the blessings of freedom must,
like men,
undergo the fatigue
of supporting it."

I was shocked to read news out of Colorado Springs this morning -- it centers around a lawsuit from a group of women IN the police force who objected to the physical ability test each year.  And now -- long story short (and fat) -- when it comes to the men and women in uniform in the Spring's area and racing to the rescue of citizens in need, nobody will be required to stay "physically fit." [At least, until such time it's been argued back and forth through the legal channels.]

Seriously?

Why wouldn't a woman -- especially a woman currently in police uniform --  insist on staying fit, on their own, for their own benefit, for the betterment of both community and her own life itself?  Talk about a life and death situation that naturally raises the bar --  demanding the call for being better than the average joe a personal standard in the every day!   Holy super girl, this might be such an occasion.

But let's consider for a moment how women got here.    Women have cried discrimination for decades -- fighting tooth and french manicured nail, long and hard, to make gains in male dominated careers, be it local police forces or one of our honorable armed forces...including now in combat zones...and this is where we take it?  Griping under the fatigue of the demands of being in what is, for all intents and purposes, a man's domain?  Are you kidding me?

Shut up.

Shut up.

Shut up.

Dig deep, put down the doughnut, get back in shape, and shut up.

Did I mention you stupid girls need to shut up?

Enough said.

Now for the betterment of this day, this blog, my wish is to do a one-eighty and get back to d'boys in uniform.  Here you go:

"It is the Veteran"

It is the Veteran, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Veteran, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the Veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Veteran, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Veteran, who salutes the Flag,
It is the Veteran, who serves under the Flag,
To be buried by the flag,
So the protester can burn the flag
[that's a really good link! don't miss it]
 Author: Anonymous

...The guest speaker at my local Veterans Day service, Lt. Col. Scott Hall (a very handsome Fighter Pilot!), offered these words in his closing.

It's something that I like to call perspective.  [And surely within "It is a Veteran," a lesson, or two, lives for the wayward student body re-organizers of  Missou and Yale...and we'll have to save that for another day...]

"Those who expect to reap
the blessings of freedom must,
like men,
undergo the fatigue
of supporting it."

According to the stats:  19.3 million veterans in U.S. in 2014, with 1.6 million of them listed as female (but do we really know anymore?)...  And talk about physically fit -- most often, the cream of the crop, all of them; Bergdahl aside, it's a group of men and women who act with honor and courage and strength better than most of us upon any given day.

Which brings me to this:
it would be an understatement to say, there is     no     time    like    the present.  Think about it.

But this is where I must leave it for one day.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Rigged. R I G G E D. Rigged. Thing

Dear America,

thank you, Jonah Goldberg [Mr. G-File] of National Review Online --  whether dating back to the original rendition in 2008 [way "BGT"...Before-G-Thing] or in his present day post of October 15th --  the ideas of a wee little me (from yesterday) are raised to their more proper and higher form!  What a talent he has for the gift of gab, game, and glorious glib...so gosh darn good.

His G-note worthy to quote:

The real appeal of the New Deal wasn’t its alleged success, it’s that the New Deal is synonymous with a time when progressives had nearly unfettered political power to do what they wanted. Liberals don’t really worship the New Deal, they worship themselves. The New Deal is just a talisman in their undying faith in their own ability to guide society and make decisions for others better than people can make for themselves.
And, at a fundamental level, the desire for an unending string of New Deals going on forever, is indistinguishable from socialism...
It’s all just so exhausting. And I guess what I resent most of all is the fact that I will spend the rest of my life arguing with people who not only think that their faith in progressivism and the State is smart and modern, but that their opponents are the ones who are stuck in the past. And in the process, they’ll keep making the country worse, with every failure providing the latest evidence that now, now, is the time for a new New Deal.
exactly.

Here's a short story of another verse same as the first...

The Setting:  Everett Middle School, San Francisco Mission District
Everett is as much a melting pot as the community, with 80 percent of its population comprised of students of color. Only 20 percent of students are white, Van Haren told KTVU. [from post in The Washington Post]
The Lead: Lena Van Haren, Principle

The Supporting Roles...Innocent Bystanders, Irrelevant Extras...Props:  The entire Student Body

The Antagonist, Unaware:  The Democratic Results

Cue the hook.

“This is complex, but as a parent and a principal, I truly believe it behooves us to be thoughtful about our next steps here so that we can have a diverse student council that is truly representative of all voices at Everett,” so said the Principle in an email to the parents...
Even though the students voted their conscience, Principle Van Haren just couldn't face the results.

And shockingly, she would have none of it.

Here's more from The Lead (might as well turn her into a one-woman-show and call it the Principle V-Monologues...but I digress):

“It’s not okay for a school that is really, really diverse to have the student representatives majority white,” she told the Chronicle. “The easy thing would have been to announce the results and move on. I intentionally did not choose the easy way because this is so important.”

wow.

Cue the orchestra from the G-File, here:

It’s all just so exhausting. And I guess what I resent most of all is the fact that I will spend the rest of my life arguing with people who not only think that their faith in progressivism and the State is smart and modern, but that their opponents are the ones who are stuck in the past.
Indeed, nearly unadulterated Shakespearean possibly.

Might I suggest the next school play:   Taming of the Shrew -- Revisited, De-Constructed and Made Totally, Unconscionably, Politically Correct.

Here's a true character role... a student at Everett Middle --

“The organizers are saying things like, ‘we want everyone’s voice to be heard,’ but in truth, the voters’ voices are not being heard,” seventh grader Sebastian Kaplan told KRON, another local news station. “The whole school voted for those people, so it is not like people rigged the game, but in a way, now it is kinda being rigged.” [ The Daily Caller]

Yup, now it's "kinda being rigged."

Thank you, Sebastian.

That there sums up nearly all of the left-leaning politics and demographic divides and community organizers and progressives and the State -- note the capital S, for all those participating in the next Spelling Bee.

The results are rigged, respective of how The Left continuously and shamelessly nudge and control behavior; whether or not it's looked upon favorably or not; whether or not it's even something NEW or not; for it's all not for naught.

For just look at us now!

Here we are, with half the body of Americans considering a bonafide Socialist in Bernie Sanders; a freaking liar and fraudster in Hillary Clinton; and soon-to-be, a bumbling buffoon and social justice wannabe idiot in Joe Biden.  Ex-squeeze me?

Hate to break it to you, folks, but the fix is already in.

It's called voter fraud, illegal immigration and sanctuary cities....all across America. Rigged.  R - I - G- G - E-  D. Rigged.

Unless something drastic puts a plug in it, like yesterday, the books are cooked -- the New New Deal is sealed for eternity and America is gone -- and not even in the neighborhood anymore.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Old is the New New Thing, Revisited

Dear America,

“My definition of a free society

is a society where it is safe to be unpopular.”

Adlai Stevenson

so apparently the 1930's called last Tuesday night...
for the rally cry, nearly in unison, and crafted to move the audience from deep depression to standing ovation -- is that it's time for a new New Deal.  And if it was said with a shrill, even better, right Hillary?

Obama phones and shovel-ready jobs got nothing on the deal we have for you, if you vote for me:
  Bernie - Hill .
Free public college for everyone, free healthcare for children, women and old people,  free education for illegals, free healthcare for illegals....even mandating  a raise in minimum wage from sea to shining sea...AND increasing taxes on the greedy, wealthy, God-forsaken top wage earners, Wall Street, and especially those nasty hedge fund guys. Free Free Free everything ...for everyone...except, of course, those at the top.

Gosh, do you even remember that near trillion dollar stimulus package of 2009?

You know not one republican voted for it.  Not one.

It was this stimulus package (just a wiki link) --  along with the horrific direction the "Affordable Care Act" (just another wiki link) legislation was taking -- that prompted THIS little miss thing to come to life ...in living color, creating

 Just a Girl.
Her Name is Gretchen.
A Day in the Life of an American Girl.

That was July 2009.
And now look at me.
Here I am,
still --
even with a boat load of haters/obstructionists jumping in from time to time --
755 blogs later.

[you know blogs are not only an equal opportunity industry, it is a totally gender neutral realm...to the point of near irrelevance, if choosing anonymity ...Unless of course, like me, you choose to build a site around it (giggle)...  But it's hard to believe that Hillary considers her best qualifier to be the next president is the fact that she is a girl and there hasn't been a girl president yet...It's like c'mon Hill, you're a feminist and want to be treated equally across the board until you want to use your femininity as a qualification?  Affirmative action, hear me roar. And shriek.]

Besides echoing the NEW NEW DEAL philosophy of redistribution governing, the democratic players on stage each angled to outdo the other in "outsider-ship."  Which is funny -- considering the combined total number of years dependent upon a government bureaucracy paycheck of one sort or another and paid for on the backs of tax payers is obscene; what an embarrassment.

What do we, the tax payers and dutiful citizens, have to show for it?

For this near 20 trillion dollar debt, and the over 200 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities (funding things...things large and small..... things dating back to the thirties and  still going, going, gone and  way beyond comprehension) is already crippling us AND  stifling our every move.

Our economy is no longer free to be -- whether it be under free enterprise or under "free" federal stimulus.  We are choking on debt,  and this group of yahoos, I mean, dimwitted democratic candidates, insist the answer is MORE?

Nothing is free.

T  I  N  S  T  A  A F  L

There is no such thing as a free lunch
(or free college, free healthcare, free food, free housing, free anything, freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!tee hee !!!!! ha ha ha.......That was just my screaming Hill coming out.  Did you catch the hackle at the end?)

Everything has a cost, a price -- whether it's a commodity, a property, a service, a soul, or a future.  And everything has to be accounted for -- in other words, paid for, in the end.  Or else, clearly bankrupt, it IS the end.

Everything is "paid" for on the backs of taxpayers...you; or everything is not paid for, and is promptly tallied into our National Debt.    FEEL    THE     BERN (and thank you to my morning muse on that little number xx my baby girl didn't make it up, but she told me xx).

But it's the ideologies that take advantage of the poor, the hungry, the faint of heart, the downtrodden, the desperate, the uneducated, the minority - especially by voter block -- in order to keep the power -- that poses the greatest threat to America (if not the entire free world).  For it's these ideologies that lie, beg, steal, borrow, and promise to fulfill dreams of the populace without disclosing the details, the true costs, the fine print, and inevitably, the certain challenges and constraints we place on all future generations to make these dreams come true.

It's fraud.
And quickly, a  bernie sanders becomes no different than a bernie madoff.

Oh FDR was so well liked, in the beginning

Hey Bernie,
facts are a sticky thing.

So let's use FactCheck.org, shall we?

  • Sanders wrongly said that the U.S. had “more wealth and income inequality than any other country.” The U.S. ranks 42nd in income inequality and 16th in terms of wealth held by the top 1 percent.
And if we look at the top 10%, U.S. ranks in 7th place, with the upper 10% holding 74.6% of the wealth -- with Russia (1st place) Turkey, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, falling in above us.

Whether we look at the top 1% or the top 10%, the answer's the same: we are not guilty of having "more wealth and income inequality than any other country."

But Bernie --

Given the 'compound interest' upon the welfare state we've made (to date),  add the exponential rate of raising dependency upon government (absent the intentions of our founding, built upon a citizenry of independence, self-reliance, and true liberty) --  America has grown less wealthy, enjoys less liberty, and is LESS FREE with each inauguration since the New f@%& Deal! (ahhh that link takes me back...)

All things considered -- you still say a new New Deal is your answer?...And it's Hill's answer?...Is that with or without a conviction on keeping a private email server and transmitting confidential top secret information on it, and then lying about it, and then, after two years,  finally turn over emails, only to reluctantly admit you might have made a mistake...and all in all, have Bernie's blessing to let it go, claiming nobody really cares.

Wrong Again.

Nearly 60% of Americans take issue with the level of dishonesty and lack of credibility; and 54% of those polled believe Hillary put America at risk.    That is a problem; a problem, I might add,  NOT created by the republicans leading the investigation (republicans being her self-proclaimed worst enemy), but by Hillary, herself.  [Just gotta wonder why controversy follows Hill and Bill with everything they touch......it's rhetorical]

And We haven't even begun to discuss all the climate change chatter.  Oi Vay!

How ignorant -- making such dumb ass claims against a basic, organic, life-force such as CO2,  And Bernie even went so far as to call it the biggest National Security Threat!?  Have you lost your mind?

Maybe Bernie should be the one to take the president aside and have a little heart to heart about the planet and all of his Air Force One joy rides....like the one just last weekend.   The president left Washington last Friday and went to Oregon  -- to talk to the families who lost a loved one at Umpqua Community College about gun control -- before then running off (in his plane) and making stops in San Francisco and LA for some fundraisers, and making a stop here in San Diego for a round of Golf @ Torrey Pines and a couple of good night's sleep in a 5-star resort, Rancho Valencia, before returning to Washington on Monday afternoon.  [take off about 1:45PST...ask me how I know...I happened to be looking up and in the right direction at the time...and lo and behold, there he was, taking off from Miramar! He was right there! Spilling CO2 all over the place!  I tried to look away, but I just couldn't...the plane was simply breathtaking.  I was mesmerized.]

Here's a post from The Daily Caller, going back to the President's Earth Day celebration  in April -- and choosing to celebrate the day by flying down to Florida and back....For the trip of of 1,836 miles round trip, his plane would spill 90 tons of carbon dioxide emissions!   Or, as The Caller points out:  To put this into perspective, it’s the same carbon footprint as 17.2 cars driving for the year. It’s also the same as burning nearly 88,000 pounds of coal or burning 190 barrels of crude oil.

Talk about being on the wrong side of an argument, read this.
Or talk about taxpayers funding the wrong side of an argument, read this.

Climate change policy is just another method of redistribution; it's just tapping into the fears, using tactics available to create change and re-organize communities by lying, stealing, and transforming America's fundamentals.    Same old, same old. Blah blah blah.

It's fraud, too.

But from the New Deal to the Real Deal,  allow me to steer you to Nate Jackson's take, on the debate, at The Patriot Post:
Democrat Debate Lowlights.
(Because it's good.)

You know, if Bernie's not careful, he may prompt a visit from the Department of Homeland Security...for all his talk against the man, the status quo, (throwing in Citizens United for good measure), to the extent of inciting, and actually calling out for, a "political revolution."  For a guy in congress since 1991, that is hilarious.

But back to my new, new link:  Did you see this stunning new announcement coming out of the Department of Justice?

Here's a peek...

While he spoke about the threat posed by the Islamic State terror group, he emphasized that law enforcement is focused on racist and anti-government ideologies, and that such ideologies may pose a more serious threat than ISIS.
“More broadly, law enforcement agencies nationwide are concerned about the growth of the “sovereign citizen” movement.  According to one 2014 study, state, local and tribal law enforcement officials considered sovereign citizens to be the top concern of law enforcement, ranking above ISIL and Al Qaeda-inspired extremists,” he said.
hmm me thinks me is a wee bit a part of this anti-government, "sovereign citizen" movement...sshhhh

The thing is, this morning, and after a little bit of rain last night -- I'm feeling refreshed in a weird way.  I sincerely hope it comes down to Hillary -- because WE, the right, can take her! But IF Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren team up for another round of eight years (sixteen even, if she turns around and adds another eight) of fundamental transformation, it might be over for freedom and liberty in the good 'ole US of A.

Ugh just the thought of that is giving me a panic attack (so much for the pitter patter of raindrops on my little head lulling me into nirvana).

In the end, while this isn't NEW to gthing...
OLD
is the New
NEW

according to the Left, too.

[remember, a while back I used this
to support the American fundamentals...
context is everything...
don't ever forget it...]

And on Tuesday evening, the Democratic Debate showed us just how screwed up (from top to bottom -- from inside and out) we are...and half the populace is okay with it?

Make it a Good Day, G
