It's a Dirty Filthy Slutty Blog Thing

Dear America,

can this October get any more frightful?

can't wait for the ninth of November; even though it spooks the living daylights out of me.

but one thing is for sure --
people like Glenn Beck....Paul Ryan....Mike Lee....just about anyone who calls themselves a conservative and can't stomach the idea of supporting Trump, does not respect the system and all that is at stake in this election; they are willing to even contemplate voting for a corrupt, lying, abusive, power monger, open border, globalist who has been caught ....
  • using an illegal personal server for State Department communication -- including sending and receiving confidential information -- including communicating with the president using an alias
  • being the someone who is directly responsible for not answering the requests for more security in Libya -- and ultimately leading to the death of four Americans in a terrorist attack in Benghazi (see also backstory on  arms deals under the cover of darkness)
  • being the someone who led the State Department that led to creating the very conditions in Iraq that left the country vulnerable to ISIS -- undermining all the years of U.S. military efforts and turning whatever success we made into a near total loss
  • being the someone who was paid (off) millions by Wall Street for things said -- and deals made -- in private
  • being the someone who has funneled millions of dollars from countries in the Middle East to the Clinton Foundation -- masquerading as funds to charity out of the goodness of their hearts (ah ha)
  • being the someone who has made personal attacks of the victims of numerous sexual assaults--  and even rape -- at the hands of HER husband, Bill
Unlike what is characteristically rich of the Left -- it's as if the Right has no concept of standing up together, all for one and one for all -- even when the going gets tough.

Surely, but don't call me Shirley, there is nothing about this election this girl likes.  Nothing.

I'm just doing my best to make a batch of lemonade with what we got.

Isn't it fascinating, though, the hypocrisy of our daily lives meeting up with what we want and expect from a candidate; for this culture of ours has fallen to new lows -- so how can we really be surprised that it is reflected back in vivid color and high-definition in a nano-second with every move during this election season?

And in that link there -- this girl isn't really calling Megyn Kelly a hypocrite....or am I?

Sure, dirty talk can sometimes just be playful, part of the game, part of the fun of being a celebrity -- in the inquiring minds wanna know kind of way; maybe the rules are just different for some than others.  Should be noted that Megyn was on live radio -- sirius xm -- at the time; in other words, she knew whatever she said would be heard in the moment, with no regrets; so we must give her double D props for discussing her "killer B's"  and her husband's penis size, right?

Now something to think about is our music --  from pop to rap.  Let's hit it, shall we?

I when I say, hit it -- it's not by the crude definition like, yeah, I hit that.  Which means to basically to f@&% a girl, k?  But the use of the double entendre is good, no?
There are some nasty, bad-ass dirty filthy songs out there -- objectifying women, loving women, f$@&ing women, hitting women -- and there are even other songs, sung by women, glorifying the quick hit with a boy!

And guess who loves to listen to it?   OUR kids.  Here's more from starpulse...

Here's words from Tove Lo's Talking Body -- a pop song widely played:

Bed, stay in bed
The feeling of your skin locked in my head
Smoke, smoke me broke
I don't care I'm down for what you want
Day drunk into the night
Wanna keep you here
Cause you dry my tears
Yeah, summer lovin' and fights
How it is for us
And it's all because
Now if we're talking body
You got a perfect one
So put it on me
Swear it won't take you long
If you love me right
We fuck for life
On and on and on
Now if we're talking body
You got a perfect one
So put it on me
Swear it won't take you long
If you love me right
We fuck for life
On and on and on
Love, give me love
Anything you want I'll give it up
Lips, lips I kiss
Bite me while I taste your fingertips
Day drunk into the night
Wanna keep you here
Cause you dry my tears
Yeah, summer lovin' and fights
How it is for us

And another one,  titled HABITS --  even better:

I eat my dinner in my bathtub
Then I go to sex clubs
Watching freaky people getting it on
It doesn't make me nervous
If anything, I'm restless
Yeah, I've been around and I've seen it all
I get home, I got the munchies
Binge on all my Twinkies
Throw up in the tub and I go to sleep
And I drank up all my money
Dazed and kinda lonely

[Chorus]
You're gone and I got to stay high
All the time, to keep you off my mind
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh
High, all the time, to keep you off my mind
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh
Spend my days locked in a haze
Trying to forget you, babe
I fall back down
I gotta stay high, all my life
To forget I'm missing you
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh
[Verse 2]
Pick up daddies at the playground
How I spend my day time
Loosen up their frown, make them feel alive
Make it fast and greasy
I'm numb and way too easy

[Chorus]

So - the highlight is me, G, just observing how even twisted girls devalue their God given worth to the point of singing about it, profiting from it, and in the process of making "art"...making it widely recognized that these "habits" are all okay -- when it isn't.

Yes sir ree.
Rap can say the word p&%$$y all the live long day -- grab it, take it, whip it, f@^% it, -- and there is nobody in the mainstream dissing it in the every day.  Nobody.  Just sayin'

But now look at me rambling like a country road.

Oh wait.  There is more --
From one of my favorite songs, called Take Your Time, by Sam Hunt.  But this time, this girl is gonna cut to the second verse, much like the first, and goes like this:

....And I know it starts with "Hello"
And the next thing you know you're trying to be nice
And some guy's getting too close
Trying to pick you up
Trying to get you drunk

And I'm sure one of your friends is about to come over here
'Cause she's supposed to save you from random guys
That talk too much and wanna stay too long
It's the same old song and dance but I think you know it well

You could've rolled your eyes
Told me to go to hell
Could've walked away
But you're still here
And I'm still here
Come on let's see where it goes

Now of course, it's subtle (what can we say, it's good ole American country ballad...)

But yet, in this second verse, Sam sings a tune about random guys, "trying to pick you up, trying to get you drunk"  -- for what?  Nothing?  Just to buy a girl a drink?

Me thinks not.
Highlighting the habit of going into a bar -- letting a guy buy your drinks -- highlights what happens after the girl gets loose.  He might, as Sam very well pointed out, that after a guy gets the girl drunk, that it's quite possible that the guy intends to take advantage of her.

But even the good ole boy in Sam Hunt makes note within just a few lines..."But you're still here And I'm still here Come on let's see where it goes..."

Enough.

It's just all this angst about what Trump said...

In light of what the Clinton's have paired off and said and done for the last forty years?  Are you sirius xxx Glenn, Paul, Mike?

And all you other 're-pubic-cans' (as Mark Levin often refers to them as)...how can you not hit the Trump tail and trail like no other and turn out on behalf of simply making a serious regime change and call it a day?

"Paul Ryan should spend more time on balancing the budget, jobs, and illegal immigration and not waste time on fighting Republican nominee"  said the Trumpster to Paul the P&%#y  Ryan (Trump didn't call him that, but he should have!  But of course, that isn't appropriate language of the future President of the United States of America...and then you might as well google Barack Obama reading from one of his own books...)

And, go ahead --
just google "dirty rap songs" and see what pops up -- dare you.

Here's a great piece (of ass) (no.  just kidding)  (too bad if you don't think it was funny)  (what did that clinton camp guy tweet during the debate...oh right...this)   It's from Ben Shapiro, read THIS...it nails the "astounding hypocrisy..." to the headboard.  yeah, he hit that out of the park.

Obama won re-election with only 55% overall voter turnout.  Obama had about 65 million votes, to Romney's 60 million -- give or take (mind you, many without consent).

Trump has to hit 66 million votes, or better.  And that's like, only reaching two-thirds of the 100 million Christian voters.  But according to Gallup -- there is a deficit in the number of registered republicans to democrats -- only 27% R, 32% D; while the independents run a whooping 40%!  IF we break down the "leaners" -- democrats top republicans, 49% -- 44%.

So no matter how you look at it -- we must turn HER over, turn HER upside down, perhaps even turn HER where the sun don't shine, for republican  Turn Out is everything.  As Trump might say --

it's a pretty big deal,
it's the art of the steal,
it's something for real,
so how 'bout you all hit that,
so we can turn around
 and heal, yo"

boom der it is muthafuckas

we may all feel a wee bit dirty when this whole thing is over and done -- but doesn't the Right really want to win the White House back?  (see also, Huckabee on with Megyn Kelly)   All Glenn, Paul, Mike are doing is driving a faulty message of ridiculously stupid republican anarchy, and we ain't got time for that.  Grow a pair, will ya?

Make it a Good Day, G

It's an Arab Spring, American Style, on the Catwalk Thing

Dear America,

dynamic

cut many things

cut so much your head will spin

nobody --  nobody on this stage that's done more for Israel

he's a liar

liar

liar

i will -- and i can tell you it will be 10 feet taller now

not going to have people dying on the streets

you'll have so many different plans

make America great again

Is this America's next president?  For real?

He says very little; and when he speaks, it comes out with an air of condescension, dribble, a finger pointing, personal attacks, and not a speck of substance.

Greatest line of the night was a tie:

"I watched you repeat
yourself five times just five seconds ago."
Rubio

and

"Can somebody attack me, please?"  Carson

so funny

Now, as soon as Cruz and Rubio figure out which one of them will settle for Vice President, we're golden, send in the crowns (wait. stop.  we don't make kings).

From there, Carson can be put in charge of Department of Health and Human Services, repeal Obamacare, and continue to do community outreach to heal, inspire, revive America from sea to shining sea.

And Trump -- he can start by building the "fucking wall"  and maybe even pay for it --- and when he's done, maybe dabble with commerce...job creation....and in all of his spare time in-between his need to tweet, he can make deals on trade...China...bringing companies and fortunes back to America; choosing to use only his strong suits to reform government, and leave his character flaws, his dirty laundry of adverse loyalties, and his worn out one-liners to explain his weak set of plans to lead an entire administration, in the closet.

And Kasich...well, let's just have him go back home, to Ohio, he does so well there, right.

One thing I DO NOT understand in this Day After the ugly, rather ignoble,  disgraceful affair aired in front of millions, is how The Drudge Report shows Trump having won that debate. It's like, huh?

You kooks have got to be kidding me.

If THAT performance is a win and shades of  GREAT things to come -- then I want NO piece of it, not even the lapel pin.

Trump did not win that debate.... unless of course, you are one of those followers who are simply blinded by the emperor's roar, his tower of babble, fully dazed by now from the shiny things that mesmerize and hypnotize and totally dismiss the things that matter.

This girl just isn't buying it; not seeing it either.

And even though I have said this before, I will say it again -- if push comes to shove, I will close my eyes and vote for Trump....please, Lord, don't make me.

At the very least, you can all be grateful this girl is not piling it on while in cahoots with Glenn Beck, right?

Can you even believe him?
Did you hear his latest?
NO, not that one, the other one...

“There is a storm coming of biblical proportions, a storm coming beyond your recognition,” The Blaze founder warned in a blog post on his personal website. “When the economy collapses, when our currency is worth toilet paper, who do you want, who do you want handling our nation? You want somebody who has divide us, who is grooming Brownshirts?”

having just crossed paths with a few of these "Brownshirts" and was so moved to characterize the Trump supporters as simply, “rude, vile, nasty.”

“I don’t want to say all of them. But there’s enough of them,” he added. “And the ones that I met that were nice, I don’t how you can stand in the same room with them. I don’t know if you look — how do you look at those people and say, ‘Wait a minute. That’s what my guy is encouraging.’”
so that's kinda funny, no?

In one breath he says he doesn't want to say "all of them," but in the next, he connects the dots and sews up the seams in such a way that completes the entire ensemble as one in the same.

Nice job, Glenn, nice job.

Did you happen to discover this displaced anger in the hamper alongside a lost smelly sock and pair of boxers?

This is so disturbing.

And by the way, just who's in charge of your wardrobe these days?  Sure -- it is neither here nor there about town -- but really, what's come over you?   Here's the Roosevelt shot.  And just love the intellectual, bow tied warrior mixing it up with the cowboy home on the range ....here.  One page, same guy, many different hats...
But it's this shift, this not so subtle sign of desperation in being behind YOUR GUY that has me befuddled.  For your approach to beating up and taking down the opposition is by taking the very same approach as the "rude vile nasty' Trump supporters, and even The Donald himself --  and that being, in a word, ridicule.

Makes me think that everybody's designer must be the same...

...oh darling, it's an Alinsky.

[Rules for Radicals, see Tactics, see also the Thirteenth Rule]

But of course.

Now isn't that rich and aren't we a pair.

Beck Beck Beck Beck Beck
Let's pull it together, man.

The only reason why we are here now is because the GOP in Congress did not do what they were asked to do by the voters!  They kissed the ass of the king -- over and over and over again -- bending over to every whim and fancy --  and so this is what we get.

THE PEOPLE HAVE NOT ONLY HAD ENOUGH, they are desperate for a change, leaving wide open the very conditions for another con against America to take place.

But the thing is -- the thing that is truly vile  -- is the lack of duty, to God and to country, run amuck within the walls of Congress.  The people elected a body of representatives to control the Obama Administration, to restrain the abuse of power, to repeal the abomination of Obamacare, and for all intents and purposes, redress the nation.   And what did we get for our money?

There was no restraint.

There was no reform.

There was no redress.

The irony, Glenn, is in the fact that both Cruz (your guy) and Rubio were well aware of all of this angst within the party.  Oh sure, they both left a mark -- but what a calamity of errors, design, and approach; it wasn't a good thing.  And therein lies the rub, rayon against polyester; nobody associated, or even remotely associated, with the establishment could make the grade.

The thing is,
it's too late.

It's all too late; spring has sprung and the new line is fresh for the taking.

Americans can't seem to get enough of it.  They don't even care what it costs.

Blame it on the emptiness inside -- the shallow, the weak, the disenfranchised, the spiritually broken, the unemployed,  the pissed, have come together to stand in line, "Brownshirts" and all; give credit to the Want of Winning over substance, as the hole was simply there.  It needed to be filled with something.

We can thank this hopeless hollow... this short-sighted desperate nature of desire to look good, feel good, and display greatness, at any cost, to an overwhelming decline in general.  As a culture, we are lost -- growing more and more insignificant around the world, having systematically diminished the importance of the pillars of character and substance over the latest fad, trends, memes, facebook posts, immediate gratification, opinions of millennial billionaires, ping ping ping...

Individually and collectively -- acts of diplomacy, large and small, don't stand a chance.

Trump may have the capacity to win in New York City, and even win the nomination for the GOP -- but then what?  His label will immediately be trashed from the left, from the media, for the opposition just waiting in the wings, crossing their fingers for the chance to have at it on the easy pickings...send in the critics.

What we are witnessing, really, is our own little Arab Spring, American Style, on the catwalk.  [think about it]

And it's UGLY.  Violating to the senses.  We are so depraved.

Having destroyed our true identity, having reduced the natural born wide appeal of generations to come for all the right reasons, we have done nothing more than cheapen the brand in every possible way known to man and back again.  Fashions repeat, don't you know.

Wake up Kmart shoppers, it's a blue light special...America is up for grabs.

Make it a good day, G
 Epiblog

you know, a long, long time ago -- little g was campaigning for a Trump/Christie ticket.
Granted, it was circa 2011, if my mind serves me well -- but now, having grown into myself just a wee bit since, it makes me cringe just thinking about it.  Makes me also wonder what else messed with my good senses...tee hee.   But times change, right.

But just maybe I was ahead of my own time -- sprung for a season too soon...

Which should make us all wonder..........is this a sign of next season's vibe.....would he take him under his west wing as VP?   stay tuned...time will tell.

It's an Open Castration of Glenn Beck Thing

Dear America,

"A tyrant must
put on the appearance
of uncommon devotion to religion.
Subjects are less
 apprehensive of
 illegal treatment from a ruler
 whom they consider
God-fearing and pious."
Aristotle

let's start with a big bang from Beck, shall we?

“...if the country is lost, it will be lost because of the Christians...There will be no one else to blame...You can’t blame the progressives. You can’t blame the left. You can’t blame Hillary Clinton. You can’t blame anyone else but the Christians who are not living and voting their principles."
[for the full story on Glenn Beck, host of the Christian skewering of the day, go to Breitbart]
Oh, and just before serving up this sweet and tangy self-righteous sentiment  -- Desperado made a special request for all of us true believers: to join Beck and his family in a mission for Monday... fasting for Cruz.
Can I get a Hallelujah?! Just look at how the Lord works!  If we hadn't all watched it with our own two eyes....Taking the boy out of New York City...divining a road that leads to Dallas...and now look at this dude, digging deep, so deep he might have struck some oil, getting to the very core of it, and talkin' straight up (of course, without the whiskey chaser).   Praise the Lord, for judgement day came a whole lot  sooner than expected. and if you said all that sounding like your very own poor rendition of Francis Underwood the better for all of us; we're in this together, and a little whup-ass while undergoing a harmless character assassination is just one more way we can all contribute.  can I get an amen?
my apologies for that. (no, not really)

makes me wonder if some time over the last 48 hours my soul get-got herself possessed, or something. (wrong again)

But first things first, even if it comes second --
This girl happens to LOVE Jesus.  Little g gives thanks to the big guy, the BIG G, every single day -- on my knees usually --  and always in prayerful thanksgiving.
And here's another truth be told -- this girl happens to like Beck vewy vewy much...that silly rascal.

So it's crazy with what comes next...

Beck
      sounds
     like
a  kook.

Did he really pull the old Christian card on the entire flock?   "If we lose America" -- Beck believes it is because CHRISTIANS are "not living and voting their principles."    Are you sure you're not a darn-tootin' Catholic cowboy now... with you rustling up all that guilt and what not...?

SO -- if we can just nit pick for a sec --
are you simply acknowledging that all Christians should see the same thing in Cruz that you see? and to that end, vote accordingly....as a block....because Ted, in all your fine judgement, is the good Christian in the bunch, the one with principles?  IS that correct?

You believe that the rest may be Christian, but, perchance, not the most principled of Christians -- and therefore, a vote to anyone else but Ted would prove to be an allegiance of some kind of sacrilegious fate -- a blasphemy of something dreadful -- a day of reckoning in lock step with Revelations?

For the sake of argument, let's agree to disagree and then disagree some more...and let's begin by leaving The Donald out of it; but what of the rest?  Let's go to the guys who have joined Ted in self-promoting a religious backbone in the campaign, however, taking a far more humble approach.

Is TED really better, more principled, than John Kasich...or Marco Rubio...or Dr. Ben Carson  -- who, as you must know by now -- experienced a personal turning point to the way of the Lord that changed him forever, and happens to read and know the Bible with a photographic memory and can recite a verse of worth on a moments notice and leads a campaign with the motto -- HEAL INSPIRE REVIVE?  And  -- come to think of it, for the record, Ben's tax plan in simple terms goes something like this: "Follow the Biblical example and make it flat and make sure everyone has skin in the game.  Everybody pays something." [Reprinted from a place in the heart of America, quite possibly within the Bible Belt itself, and called www.runbenrun.org}

But all that is neither here nor there really.   It's just this indignation pouring out from every pore...this highfalutin impulse to lambaste the very people who have supported you for all of your days, from CNN to Fox to The Blaze.    We are your people, Beck, and you just struck us with an arrow, splitting our hearts in two.

For this is news to me, Beck -- this whole thing about casting the entire lot of Christians as not only having in common a belief system, joined at the rib in being followers of Christ, indeed, but with that peace that passes all understanding, we should somehow, by some miracle of Lourdes, happen to all want the same thing, the same candidate -- and moreover, take your word for it, as if by decree or homily?

Oh the irony.  You know you are beginning to sound a lot like Pope Francis telling Trump how good Christians are to behave, and how building bridges between Mexico is better than a wall...just sayin' partner.

Of course, if we are to be drifters along those lines, believing in the premise that WE are ALL God's children, that we are all citizens under one heaven -- then why any border -- why any red lines in-between us, why any separation of church and state, country or language, why any separation between us at all -- not even oceans should come between us.  More to the point, this might be the perfect principled hour to call for Pope Francis to tear down his wall at the Vatican, for Saint Peter's sake.  How about we start there, while reciting the Hail Mary and asking for forgiveness as we go along brick by brick...But I .....digress.

And I suppose, Beck, heading this exhibition out west, setting sites on the LEFT coast and probably going straight to hell in the here-and-after,  but if we are to be rest assured upon your logic -- are you gonna tell me now that all African-Americans should vote the same way, think the same way, want the same things, too?    If little g were a betting girl, my six pence would be on Dr. Carson who just might take issue with this all or nothing, downright robbery, of independent thought!  For surely, there are times when common sense can only come when it decidedly, forthrightly,  goes against the grain, and with great courage -- in spite of the amber waves of resistance circling the wagons, and in this day and age, coming complete with hashtag slogans and a facebook page.

It's just wrong; we get annoyed with the Left for this very thing!  Breaking people down by demographics, hurling propaganda at them with break-neck speed, and then expecting a return on the investment at the polls.   We the people get used and spit back out with no apologies.

Oh my, this girl is 'a rambling on and on...

It's just disturbing, this thing with Beck and Cruz, aligned to make their mark in history from probably the right place, with good intentions, and clearly a solid, godly foundation for all the right reasons --- but somehow this platform suddenly, and feeling somewhat shameful to admit, feels dirty. [and speaking of dirty...]

And mind you, this is a response coming from a believer -- a true believer in all of the above....God being first and foremost, but an honorable mention surely goes to Cruz and Beck!

It's crazy; it's like, what is happening to me?  Or is the better question, what happened to Beck?

Should I stop and question this thing called my faith if my attractions go another way, opposite Cruz?
Is Beck's high and mighty passing of judgement against the entire nation of Christians of sound mind, or is he the wacko-bird about to start his third or fourth career selling snake oil at the county fair?

And yet...

If I dare keep going -- about that "if the country is lost" bit...

It must be said, that a fair portion of this good, godly country -- the Judeo-Christian roots -- have already been torn asunder!  Much to my regret to disagree with Beck's opinion -- the truth is, the progressives of yesteryear and all the way through today ARE to BLAME for America's fall from grace, from God, from a foundation that painstakingly laid the groundwork to grow the most prosperous, faithful, hard-working, educated, enterprising, independent people for all time.

It is done and it is not good.

Right now - - this country IS lost; it's no longer a question as to If or When.

There is neither a North or Morning Star to be seen.

We  are in the wilderness, fasting, and, coincidentally, well timed for being right in the middle of Lent.

We are lost.
We know we are lost.
And we are begging for directions from the likes of all kinds of passersby, searching desperately for someone to lead us out of the valley, over the mountain, to find happiness and restore us.

And it's a funny thing, but just yesterday, Sunday, I received word from God, himself:  there is not one man (or one woman) on the planet who can fix what is broken -- you know, as president -- without the good favor of each and every single man and woman and child doing their fair share, and duty, to God and to country. [Including congress!]

Our downfall IS believing government can replace God, can replace good citizenship, can make up for our teeny tiny transgressions here and there.  Our downfall is putting our faith into mankind and dismissing the essential elements of living soundly, morally, rightly under God and believing in something greater than ourselves.  Our downfall is letting go of the the word of God in our every day.

Beck. Beck. Beck Beck Beck....This thing called "not living or voting" by principle isn't about to happen; it's been a century in the making.  Nice try, though; nothing like a little religious tyranny roasted over an open fire.

.....Whoa, Nelly.....

Perhaps, we are looking at this the wrong way.  Maybe we need a change in perspective -- maybe if we actually climb the mountain and look down from above....

Perhaps,  a more reasonable explanation is simply recognizing that we the people haven't really changed; government, itself, is to blame, having grown so big, so thoroughly corrupted, to the point of no return.
[And this alone should immediately negate the worthiness of any candidate who has been on the inside, no matter if only a couple years or three decades; thereby, after taking account of what's to the left and who's to the right, swing your partner and doesy doe,  only two candidates remain out of the whole kit and caboodle to choose from -- Trump and Carson.  Boom.  Perhaps we should pony express a decision for P and VP right here and now.]

And finally, if for no other reason than ending on a high note --

...perhaps a better way to look at our culture, our faithful roots and the rewards that come with lock, stock and barrel begins and ends and begins again with realizing the scope and breadth of our charitable giving.  This is where we come alive as a people who truly live by our faith and hope and good will.   And it is quite puzzling, really, because I'm pretty sure Beck is well aware of these things, and a wee bit of restraint before his reckless damnation questioning every Christians values and principles would have suited him in the moment just fine.

And we need to look no further then this month's Imprimis from Hillsdale College.

Karl Zinsmeister, focuses on the subject of  Charitable Giving and the Fabric of America, and begins getting right to an astounding stat:

Private philanthropy is crucial in making America the unusual country that it is. Let’s start with some numbers. Our nonprofit sector now comprises eleven percent of the total United States workforce. It will contribute around six percent of gross domestic product this year. To put this in perspective, the charitable sector passed the national defense sector in size in 1993, and it continues to grow.

Now my wish is for you to read the entire piece, for the stories of bits and pieces of history speak volumes of not only our hearts and generosity, but of the way America truly works.  We work hard.  We make money.  And we give much of ourselves and our wealth away.

Here's some more:
Still, partly because so much of private charity takes place out of the public eye—on the local level, private, often anonymous—many grossly underestimate its power and insist that major concerns can only be addressed through government action. They seem to have three major criticisms of private philanthropy: one, it’s a drop in the bucket; two, it’s amateurish, chaotic, and lacks expert coordination; and three, private donors act from impure motives.
Drop in the bucket? The Gates Foundation alone distributes more overseas assistance than the entire Italian government. Over its first two decades, its overseas vaccine program is projected to save the lives of almost eight million children. And the Gates Foundation represents only a tiny sliver of American philanthropy directed overseas. Members of American churches and synagogues send four-and-a-half times as much to foreigners in need each year as Gates does, and total private American philanthropic aid sent overseas substantially exceeds the foreign aid budget of the U.S. government. The latest totals are about $39 billion and $31 billion, respectively

Did you get that?

Private American philanthropic aid totals 39 BILLION dollars and exceeds the foreign aid budget in the U.S. government!

Members of American churches and synagogues send four and a half times as much to foreigners in need each year as Gates!

Yes.  I am repeating myself.  And with good reason!  This is good stuff!

Karl also informs us that we actually live in a polyarchy society -- a society that enjoys many independent sources of power -- and of course,  it's the opposite of monarchy.   Adding to the nature of who we are, Karl notes:

But philanthropy in the United States is not just a story—or even primarily a story—about wealthy people or big foundations. Only 14 percent of charitable giving in our country comes from foundations, and only five percent from corporations. The rest comes from individuals, and the bulk of it comes from small givers at an average rate of about $2,500 per household per year.

This IS who we are.

We are, generally speaking, enterprising church goers, tithers, givers, healers,  And while we're at it, let's stop the billionaire bashing, too.

And I believe, we, Americans, Christian or not, like to do the right thing, too.

And it just makes me ill to bicker over whose Christian heart is bigger, purer, faster, better -- but more than that, this coercing, manipulative, campaign strategy to coalesce behind Ted Cruz is a shame.  A real shame.   It's an unbridled, un-principled tack that hits Christians, pitting Christians against Christians!  We might as well send in the clowns and the lions all at the same time.

okay G,
bring it on back,
c'mon girl,

yes!
indeed!

Oh my -- to God be the Glory!
We are, generally speaking, enterprising church goers, tithers, givers, healers -- and fiercely, fearlessly independent!

This is who we are...today.
This is who we were...yesterday.
And this is who we will be -- with great, unwavering faith -- tomorrow.

and as always,
Make it a GOOD Day, G

It's Being One More Rainfall Away Thing

Dear America,

here's a good one....

“I will say, just on principle,
the success of our democracy
depends on the rule of law,
and there is no public official
that is above the rule of law,”
according to the White House
press secretary
Josh

Earnest is as Earnest does.

he he he
happy fried-day, everybody.

What a week, eh?

What a week.

I love the part about "just on principle" --  as if, if it were to stand alone in a crowd like the idiot savant, people just might pay attention and pay their respect if placed on a pedestal....otherwise, it just moves around among us as if nobody gives a flying rat's ass most days.

yeah, we can have a Federal law that makes smoking pot illegal, in principle, as well as under the rule of law, and completely look the other way every single day...

yeah, we can have Federal Immigration Law on the books, unchanged through the legal measures in Congress, and continue to have sanctuary cities, along with rampant lawlessness of undocumented, illegal "immigrants" crossing our southern border, and look the other way...  No -- even better -- have a sitting president just stand up and say WE are just going to ignore what the law says, and by Executive Order usurp the law in every way, paving the way in gold for millions of illegals to come to America and immediately gain fortune upon the shoulders of every hard working American taxpayer.

yeah, and we can even have a law, fully intended to support traditional marriage  (1996 -  Defense of Marriage Act)   and have the Supreme Court alter the law, rewrite the law, along with having a president stand up and simply say, yeah WE are not going to do that anymore.    Congress has not re-written the law, by law.

yeah, and in comparison  -- let's look to what is protected by our First Amendment rights:

Burning the flag is protected.  (wiki law, here)
According to the Supreme Court you can burn the flag according to the law that protects the freedom of speech -- and yet, by that same law, a person who is exercising a certain freedom of religion is received with vitriol, virtually marked with a scarlet letter and hung in town's square for all to throw stones, while secretly wishing a good burning at the stake was still an option.

You know, Kim Davis had her job first.  [Hey, and thank God she is a registered Democrat, am I right, or we would never hear the end of it...]

Should our president be held in contempt for the middle finger he's got up against our nation's immigration laws, positioning himself squarely ABOVE the Law?

Should Hillary Clinton be jailed -- like, yesterday -- for being ABOVE the Law -- in principle and all -- while Secretary of State, in the unconscionable keeping of her own server -- which is totally ILLEGAL as secretary --  and moreover, using it to transmit censored, classified information in good company with her decisions on bridesmaids dresses, wedding photographers, and cake makers?   Seriously?

Should the entire upper echelon of Planned Parenthood -- hell, maybe even the entire organization --be held accountable for being ABOVE the Law and breaking FEDERAL Law with the selling of baby body parts, and be jailed right now, with no grace period whatsoever -- being held in contempt for every part sold on the market?

But now we are just getting carried away, huh.

The thing is -- CONGRESS writes the LAW; Congress giveth the law and only the congress can taketh away.  That -- in principle anyway -- is the law.

We do not WRITE law through the Supreme Court -- or in any court, for that matter.

The Court's sole purpose is to tell us what actions are according to the law and punish any actions, and all actions,  that go against the law, including deciding the Constitutionality of the law, and actions, thereof.  That's it.

Technically, there is no Federal Law on Gay marriage; there is only the opinion of the Supreme Court that we can no longer discriminate against it nah nah nana nah.   And now congress must write the law to support it.

But what up,
what up with the discrimination that squares face to face with a citizen's religious freedom -- and the FREE EXERCISE thereof??????!!!!!!

Like Kim said,

“I’m very steadfast in what I believe. I don’t leave my conscience and my Christian soul out in my vehicle and come in here and pretend to be something I’m not. It’s easy to talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?” (Just like she probably wouldn't leave one of her babies alone in the car either, ba dump bah)...

Is she a perfect Christian?

Doesn't matter.

As a matter of fact, it goes to every imperfection of man that cries out to a Higher Power for guidance, love, and forgiveness in the every day.

And as it's been told -- she has only been "a believer" for less that five years; she became a soldier for Christ only recently, which then makes a whole lot of sense;  for the born-again Christian, the newbie, the Evangelist of the better-late-than-never-crowd is sometimes the most unrepentant, unapologetic, and most unshaken when sticking out and immediately coming under attack.

The thing is, they are the ones who not only stand out, but stand firm because every living thing under the firmament is brand new and has meaning.  It is current; it is real; it is a Way, the Truth, and the Life, that not only sets they, themselves, personally free, it becomes a ministry.

The problem is we have a Left that chooses NOT to co-exist with this kind of Christian, with this kind of belief.  And not only that, it has united and grown to become a Left which stands fully committed to taking this kind of cultural phenomenon that has long been the cornerstone of America OUT.  And with great pain whenever possible.    "Co-exist" -- yeah right.

Again, do we  really have to go back to a certain Michelle Obama, on the campaign trail in 2008, preaching to us about how our traditions, and holidays, must all change?

"Barack knows that we are going
to have to make sacrifices;
we are going to have to change
our conversation;
we're going to have to change
our traditions,

our history;

we're going to have to move

into a different place

as a nation."

Now, I plucked that quote from an ancient post (2009), written by an up and comer in the conservative world, Glenn Beck, for the Fox News Channel; and it's a great piece in it's entirety, so go here for more.

Earnest is as earnest does.

We didn't really take the Obama's at their word, now did we?

We really didn't want to see it.
[Well, to be perfectly clear -- the G THING saw it coming -- it was black and white! and that's just about the man's character, never the color of his skin, or mine...  But who am I, right?  yeah, here I am, Lord,   Just a girl, her name is Gretchen, happily tapping into the blogosphere since 2009...]

We thought, my God, how in the world....America is untouchable, rooted so firmly in tradition, history, respective of the holidays that come with --- that surely no man is above the law;  what God has joined, men must not divide.

Through America's traditions and history and precedence -- we have made a certain vow (see "wiki vows" here).

Guess which one has become politically correct to put asunder?  [go mob rule, eh?  what are we doing to ourselves....going back to the dark ages?]

I believe there is a secular resolution that can be made, in the same vein that all people can co-exist and live in peace, and truth, and love of their own making, beholden to one's own religion under God.

[And you know, God is of no Gender, so God should be considered really cool under the current hierarchy of  all things social, relate-able, and LIKED on facebook].

AND  I also believe in Religious Liberty and it's free exercise  -- and it is made and written into a real law in America and it is just not acceptable that it be ridiculed and undermined with such contempt; we have one Kim Davis willing to let it all on the line for her God and evidently some people want to shoot her.  This oppression, coming from within America, no less -- and quite possibly, an America that is to be no more...

Perspective
If you want to get a clear picture
of any condition in life,
don't try to see things with
your nose on them!
See them from the highest point,
from the plane of spirit,
and you will be surprised
at how different
your problems look.
White Eagle

But feel free to run out and burn a flag today -- for that seems to be protected more than other things once held in high acclaim, in perfect order of things,  under the First Amendment.... under "the law."

Clearly, the law is on shaky ground; and it's not just in California anymore.  Personal passions set aside --- whether you like Kim Davis, or not --- one more rain fall of ignorance meets bliss and it's a slippery slope into oblivion goes the US of A,

It's a Cymbalta Kind of Day Thing

Dear America,

Depression hurts.

sure, it's a slogan of one of the many anti-depressant drug manufacturers, Cymbalta -- but contrary to much of the advertising we hear everyday, depression, in fact, does...you know, hurt.

And I believe it's highly contagious.

It's bad enough to know Tamarlan was questioned by the FBI and released on his own recognizance.  It's bad enough that there were clear signs that this dude, especially, went bad.  But it doesn't end there, does it.  It gets bad, er.

What's depressing is hearing that the entire Tsarnaev family received assistance from the state.  Are you kidding me?

No, no, got a better one --

The "Boston bomb suspect's name was on classified government watch lists."   Now that's something stunning, less depressing, almost shocking, really.   Is there a pill to take for that?

And note that the article phrases it such that there is more than one "list."   Forget about checking the list twice -- how about we try checking the lists, all of them, every now and again, and simply track these people down, monitor their activities, put two and two terrorists together.  Huh?

Perhaps someone, somewhere in the system, could even be so bold as to wonder, hmmm, just how does this guy manage to drive a Mercedes, being on welfare and all?    Huh?  (And I'm feeling compelled to give a big, bad shout out to CNN for the stellar crib notes version of the family's challenges assimilating into the American way of life, beginning with, "[Eventually], they were reunited -- a family of six whose American journey contained elements of a struggle to fit in and success in making a new life.")

Hmmm.   Instead of welfare, perhaps we should consider handing out Cymbalta like candy to those struggling to fit in with all things American?  But now, wouldn't that be silly.

No, no, here's a good one --

How about we wonder about the sensibilities of the two people responsible for raising them into the "struggling", anti-American, radicalized crazy kids that they ultimately become?  Now, talk about depressing, frightening even.

Aw now, this is even better --

How about this headline out of the UK @ daily mail, online:  "Revealed: Dead Boston bomber's body has NOT been claimed - days after he was killed in shootout with cops"  (and don't forget, subsequently run over by his brother).  Now that's depressing, no?

This is starting to hurt.

It's killing me softly, actually...and what a way to ruin one of my favorite songs.

So maybe it's just me, but are these guys the first "educated" -- and from a "good family"   -- kind of boys to be guilty of such a heinous crime?   Or is evil simply indiscriminate?

But let's delve deeper anyway -- what is with this "struggling to fit in" bit?  Are you serious?  Haven't we all had to survive middle school?  High School?  Peer pressure?  Living in the sexed up, turbo-charged delinquency of the culture and society we have created and call home?

Struggling to fit in....that's a good one.  Have you met the Jones' next door?

Who -- in this day and age -- does not struggle every freaking day in some way or another?  Depressing IS whoever tries to keep up with the Jones'; depressing IS the clear and present danger of living the modern day life without a spiritual force; depressing IS how we have our kids raised by pharmaceutical nannies; depressing IS the disconnect between life in America and finding your own way to happiness in your own way, without being a burden on society, and without taking your frustrations out upon your neighbor.

How dare the mainstream media begin painting this picture of the family Tsarnaev as if it's America's fault.  How dare you.

That premise is not only depressing, it's a violation against our intelligence, as well as, an attack against our nation's foundation -- to live in freedom and liberty for all, IS to live independently, for better or worse.

The media is pathetic.

While the truth is, this administration is at fault from every angle.

What is depressing is really very, very frightening.

And I, for one, am sick of it.

How is it that places like www.wnd.com  and www.drudge.com  and www.theblaze.com and various other outlets here and abroad fill in the depressing blanks for us, while our mainstream news outlets edit for politically correct praises, as they struggle for acceptance and invitations and benefits from this administration?

Real information that can save us, protect us, INFORM us IS out there; check out WND just today and then go to other super scary stuff on The Blaze...

This isn't news to those of us who run unafraid, counter to the mainstream mentality; the stunning details of what radical Islamic believers want to do to us IS streamed live every single day. If you really want to find the truth, you can.

What is depressing IS how this administration turns a blind eye.

What is depressing IS how this administration lies to us about the real threat.

What is depressing IS how this administration is getting away with it.

What is depressing IS how this administration is missing a leader who understands the danger America is in right now, today --  digesting all the intelligence made available, respond accordingly and pro-actively, and communicate responsibly and honestly with the American people.  Where is that administration?

Or just maybe we, the people, will be forced to question this administration's allegiances, it's mission, whatever it IS that it stands for; for that response would be perfectly reasonable, no?...if A equals B and B equals C than A equals holy crapuccino pass the Cymbalta.

We, the people, are NOT crazy to wonder.
How do we get from ...being from a good family, to struggling to fit in, to being questioned, to being from a wealthy Saudi family, to being on a terrorist watch list,  to having this person go to the streets of Boston and blow it up?   [And what was that, pray tell?  oh that was just the quintessential compilation of a terrorist brought to you by the letter G]

Oh but the poor kid...And what about Abdul?

[Oh, listening to Beck for a moment this morning, and he's all up in Janet Napolitano's face right now.  Go GB Go.  Run with that Run.  Terror IS what Terror Does.  That's what I'm talkin' about...see G here  and here]

Depression hurts, indeed.  But today, that's not even the half of it.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a 'Tongue double, brings Trouble' Thing

Dear America,

"The greatest nation on Earth cannot keep conducting its business by drifting from one manufactured crisis to the next. Let’s agree, right here, right now, to keep the people’s government open, pay our bills on time, and always uphold the full faith and credit of the United States of America. The American people have worked too hard, for too long, rebuilding from one crisis to see their elected officials cause another."  Obama, State of the Union 2013

A couple days ago -- Peter Foster, U.S. Editor writing for the Daily Telegraph, brought a teeny tiny detail to the head of a pin.  Recounting a declaration of our own President Obama only months ago in his State of the Union address, Foster fosters an open wound, saying:

"In his State of the Union address to the American people earlier this year, Barack Obama declared that he was 'confident' of achieving 'our objective of defeating the core of al-Qaeda'.

Although he acknowledged the need to pursue the 'remnants' of the terrorist group and its affiliates, the overall message was clear – al-Qaeda was badly degraded, the tides of war were receding and the US was winning this fight that was no longer even officially a war.

The Boston bombings would appear to present a fundamental challenge to that assessment and once again bring the nagging uncertainty of terrorism back on to the American main street"

Indeed.

The president was pretty clear:
"Today, the organization that attacked us on 9/11 is a shadow of its former self. Different al Qaeda affiliates and extremist groups have emerged – from the Arabian Peninsula to Africa. The threat these groups pose is evolving.. Instead, we will need to help countries like Yemen, Libya, and Somalia provide for their own security, and help allies who take the fight to terrorists, as we have in Mali. And, where necessary, through a range of capabilities, we will continue to take direct action against those terrorists who pose the gravest threat to Americans."
Today feels more like our government is a shadow of its former self; is this some kind of perverted twist of diplomatic fate, surely brought on by global warming, shape-shifting a cold war for the new age, allowing our very own intelligence agencies turn us into mush?

Foster brings in a perspective from Aaron Zelin, "a fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy who has written extensively about the decentralisation of al-Qaeda" for an added bonus.  And quoting Foster, quoting Zelin, characterizing the organic, homegrown element of terrorism as simply this:

"It's a hybrid thing, that's the problem...It's a unique threat, there's nothing like it and that's why people have a hard time grasping what it is."

Because whether it two brothers, a cell of twelve working in and around a neighborhood of Boston, or full-blown war in another part of the world --  it all acts with the same will, and that is to kill the infidels with whatever means possible, large or small.  It's called a caliphate.  Look it up.

Bit let's get back to more from the president, pulled from the rubble of his State of the Union address:

"As we do, we must enlist our values in the fight. That is why my Administration has worked tirelessly to forge a durable legal and policy framework to guide our counterterrorism operations. Throughout, we have kept Congress fully informed of our efforts. I recognize that in our democracy, no one should just take my word that we’re doing things the right way. So, in the months ahead, I will continue to engage with Congress to ensure not only that our targeting, detention, and prosecution of terrorists remains consistent with our laws and system of checks and balances, but that our efforts are even more transparent to the American people and to the world"

Um hold up.

What about Abdul....?  Go to the source at The Blaze.

and go here to Alex Jones' take on board Infowars.

Um and what about the possibility of the boys working as double agents?    Go here, takes you to a place called DEBKAfile.

So what are we to do with all this?  Who are we to believe?

And now fully disturbed with the president's very own context when he said,  "I recognize that in our democracy, no one should just take my word that we’re doing things the right way."

Just why would he plant that seed
in the back of our minds?

Nonetheless, does this look like.....

"I will continue to engage with Congress to ensure not only that our targeting, detention, and prosecution of terrorists remains consistent with our laws and system of checks and balances, but that our efforts are even more transparent to the American people and to the world."

Here's a mad, mad world update:   this is a freaking mess.  The more information we get, the creepier our government -- acting by virtue of a shadow government -- appears.

It's Lady Liberation vs. Lady Liberty Thing

Dear America,

this clip dates back just a couple of days, to the president's first news conference of the year.

before that, on March 2 -- the president made a direct call to Sandra Fluke.  It came immediately after Rush Limbaugh's twisted right wing response to Sandra's testimony before congress, reinforcing the administration's stance to pay for contraceptives  (and essentially, subsidizing a personal activity -- a woman's sex life of all things -- and mandating that the American people pay for women to have protected sex).  Rush was not gentle or kind -- but the argument is basically spot on whether you want to look at it that way, or not.

awwwwww...

"He encouraged me
and supported me
and thanked me
for speaking out about
the concerns of American women.
And what was really personal
for me
was that he said to tell my parents
that they should be proud.
And that meant a lot
because Rush Limbaugh questioned whether
or not my family would be proud of me."
Sandra,
explaining a president's intent,
reporting to Politico.com

but let's get back to the press room:
"One of the things I want them to do [Sasha and Malia] as they get older is engage in issues they care about, even ones I may not agree with them on [cough, choke]. I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way. And I don't want them attacked or called horrible names because they're being good citizens,"

"I wanted Sandra to know that I thought her parents should be proud of her, and that we want to send a message to all our young people that being part of a democracy involves argument and disagreements and debate. And we want you to be engaged, and there's a way to do it in a way that doesn't involve you being demeaned and insulted."  President Obama @ press conference
He says, "even ones I may not agree with them on."

As if. Right. That's a good one, Mr. President.

Just what is this Mastermind-in-Chief saying here?  He is insinuating, under no uncertain terms, that he is consciously choosing to walk that political thin line of 'does he, or doesn't he?'

Let's be clear.

He called Sandra Fluke because he is proud of her for speaking with conviction on a women's health issue, for being a good citizen, for taking the risk to stand up --  BECAUSE HE AGREES with her!  He is proud of HER for supporting HIS legislation.

It also means that this president is proud of her for fully supporting the USURPING of the Constitution, undermining this nation's first amendment, and be it ever so graciously and politely -- yet oh so radically -- uprooting the law of the land.

The president is being perfectly clear:  he IS proud of Sandra Fluke in every way, or else he would not pick up the phone to call her; nor would he double down on his remarks of how much her parents should be proud of her; nor would he make no mistake to tell his girls, Sasha and Malia -- and the entire press room -- and the whole world for that matter --  that he is proud of THIS girl, Sandra.  He sees Sandra speaking his language; she is saying and demonstrating the right stance to take all the way around.

[cuz like, did he, the president,  'stand up' to support Bristol Palin, when she was speaking with conviction of her pregnancy and her pro-life values ...and after doing so... becoming the target of viscous attacks from the Left????...ignore this, it's a rhetorical question]

Bristol's convictions do not serve the president's agenda.

The truth is, mathematically speaking -- half of the American women are proud of Sandra, too -- while the other half, not so much.

Is this really how all women choose to move forward?

I think not.

Isn't this sort of thing taking women a couple steps backwards?  Think about it.

Needing a brand-spankin-new entitlement program to cover birth control that costs less than a dollar a day?

Needing somebody else to pay for our prescriptions -- as if we have no means, no wherewithal at all, to figure it out and prioritize our medicinal and personal necessities of choice?

Casting the burden out to society to subsidize something that is very much our own responsibility?

If this is what [some] women are saying -- they might as well marry it -- the government -- and call it a day.

[Which is ironic, isn't it --- given how much the Left loathes traditional marriage...]

Sandra is going to graduate with a LAW DEGREE, for goodness sakes.  She is about to be entering a field of work that offers plenty of cash by the hour (and it has nothing to do with prostitution, but I guess it could be misconstrued as such.... but I quickly digress into the gutter, let's moveon.org....).  She is on the verge of making hundreds of dollars an hour and SHE wants an entitlement program offering free contraceptives to protect her -- and every other woman in America -- believing she has a right to have her sexual life subsidized on the backs of the taxpayers?  of all people.... seriously?

unfukeenbelievable.

yeah, let's hear it for women's liberation.
 -- are we?
yeah. we've come a long way, baby.
-- have we?

today -- we are long past the burning of our bras and now look at us.

How pathetic.

But the president is proud of Sandra.

And he doesn't care if his Obamacare -- the Affordable Care Act -- rapes the Constitution; he doesn't care if it tramples all over the first amendment.  He doesn't care how it leaves us feeling, inside and out.  He doesn't care.

He is all about fundamentally transforming this country, beginning with everything that upholds our cultural roots of God, country, tradition, family, living in communion with one another and humbly under the Rule of Law.

and then we have the little Mrs. say this:

wow, right.

no.  these two videos are nothing new.  we have played them before.

it's just that,
as time goes by,
the more and more they haunt us,
as we find ourselves always looking over our shoulder.

today, just so you know, given how I feel --
I am consciously choosing to leave this on a really somber note.
But you run along and skip to m'loo up ahead.
Make it a Good Day...
I'll catch up with you later, G

AND just in case you need some really great back up on this administration's assault on America by "America's Most Biblically-Hostile U.S. President" --
go to The Blaze.  Print the article by Billy Hallowell, citing research by David Barton, and be shocked for yourself.  When it is down on paper -- and on film -- and when we put all the itty bitty details together -- we see clearly who this president truly is.      Kudos to Glenn Beck and his machine.

Monday, April 18, 2011

Dear America,

happy monday.

Mondays sometimes get a bad rap; they come chock full with attitude beginning the night before -- simply dreading the start of a week's worth of work up ahead.  The alarm goes off a wee bit too soon; the lucky shirt is in the laundry; while everything seems to be happening so fast, getting a breakfast thrown in before running out the door only happens with acute attention to detail and stellar time management.   You would think, with every week lined up the same way for centuries, we would be somewhat better prepared for the weekly punch in the gut --  that it wouldn't have the power over us like it does.

And this is all about things we know about, things expected.  Throw in the unknowns, and things that make us go boom without ever seeing it coming -- that really blows.

So this morning, I may sound like I am all over the place; so take it from me, right now, I am about to do you a favor: just leave now and nobody gets hurt,or stick with it all the way to the bitter end through all the bobbing and weaving.  This is still a free country, so you are free to make up your own mind at any time (as am I...isn't that wonderful) -- so don't get to the end and curse me, okay?  just expect me to be all over the place, no surprises, starting now. (suggestion, just breathe and you'll be fine.)

You know, for all the doomsday predictions thrown up on the chalk board --  let's just get down to the brass tacks -- most of them have ultimately come to fruition; sure, it is done for the beauty of television, making a reality and spectacle of the news on the day holding to the basic premise, "truth has no agenda."  Glenn Beck has turned this remedial task into an art form.  He has become the Picasso of throwing it all out there and seeing what sticks, what has merit, what might hurt us and what might come back to bite us in the butt.  And then, most days reminding us what our founders might do, or think, about it.

Today, one of my favorite things -- Mr. Beck-meister fuller himself -- is being hammered in the media (again); but this time from the right.  Interesting.

Let me see if I can channel what he might be thinking -- why now?  You guys have had all this time to jump on my pleasantly plump derriere, because I love my ice cream, and you wait for me to be on the ropes (in perception only, mind you) before you feel compelled to riddle me with a smear campaign? Officially jumping on my liberal use of OPV (other people's video) without the proper shout out to each and every one?  ah hello, I was doing the same thing a year ago, two years ago, back on CNN even -- and now you come at me?  That bites, but more important, what gives?

I didn't see that coming, d'jew?

You know what GB did see coming, the slow and painful death of America that seems to be around the bend if we aren't careful; and so it begins (again) -- as this happy monday/tax day/day of reckoning goes down -- bouncing out of the corner and making a spot on prediction come to fruition and one for the history books, the one, and the only, reality buster extraordinaire, GB, is right again (say it like you're in an echo chamber, or something -- like an announcer for the WWE -- it's more fun)

...and the crowd goes wild.

Based on perception, mind you, AMERICA has been downgraded by the S & P.

Just because America's future sort of 'hangs in the balance' these days --

...choosing the uneasy stance on what appears to be unnatural footing
...unable to shake the ghost of debt limit's past
...being stuck on politics more than course correction
...having lost it's way through fuzzy math a long, long time ago

...perhaps the S & P knows something we don't.  hmmm What do they see?  And strangely having a refrain of do you hear what I hear humming in my head.

Wonder what GB might say to all the rabble-rousers who have made it their business -- and profited greatly by  it -- shooting up or shooting down his theories like a street wise thug?  Clearly, GB has satisfied a need for all sides to use and abuse, so who's kidding who here?   Wanton, insatiable dissing of the man has become commonplace -- especially now that he is appearing "outed" by Fox News -- even though history continues to prove, if not validate, nearly every little thing that comes out of the guy's mouth.   No matter which side of the ring you are on, isn't he, now (and forever probably), just a guy who continues to see it all coming long before many of us even catch a glimpse?

GB saw this downgrade coming.   How about we talk about that!  And yet, all anybody really wants to talk about today is getting the proper recognition where recognition is surely due on a thirty second piece of video...fascinating.

Now splitting the subject of details, schmeetails on a totally different angle, how about this one?

From another contributor for The Daily Caller, we return to a prediction that didn't exactly come to fruition from the UN.  And let me add, I can't wait to check out this Anthony Watts guy @ http://www.wattsupwiththat.com and Gavin Atkins, at Asian Correspondent.com who broke the story answering a simple question, "What happened to the climate refugees?"

In another case of the sky is falling, doomsday is coming, everyone take cover, parlayed over the last couple of decades breeding climate change fears, promoting a whole string of catastrophic homegrown terror attacks, plotting against anything that moves, breathes, or even tries to make a living...even having the power to extinguish entire islands, leaving millions -- billions maybe -- homeless.

NOT.  Where are they?  huh?  Hey, UN, are you listening?  And get Al Gore on the phone, like right now.

Now, talk about profit sharing -- if not actually prophesying for profit.  are you kidding me? way to go building credibility there.  at least, GB is correct when he gets up on his soap box, there is that. but details, schmeetails.  He has occasionally used video without saying where he got it from on live tv. ooooh.

And boy, do I love the details from both Watts and Atkins...here's just one:

"Nassau, The Bahamas — The 2010 national statistics recorded that the population growth increased to 353,658 persons in The Bahamas.  The population change figure increased by 50,047 persons during the last 10 years."

Notice how I made sure you could see exactly where I got that information --removing any room for doubt.  good stuff. please read it.

For an added bonus, the entire read is deeply permeated with a natural, dry, global warming wit which Watts freely throws around, making certain a great way to start the week, if not the day.  That whole Google cache lesson...bringing full circle a soap opera of that was then, this is now.  And the map that mysteriously went bye bye, that somehow comes back to life through the miracle of internet savvy-ness --  bravo to both of you guys.

And now, to a tale thousands of years in the making; spinning perception, reality, faith and truth all wrapped up into one.  Did you read about the do over for when the actual last supper occurred?  some of you will either love this or really hate it, but Easter, after all this time, may actually have a real live birth attributed to an actual day from here on out, without having to calculate by stars and moons  first.  Can you just imagine it?

Basically, due to a "mix-up," a professor/scientist at Cambridge, Colin Humphreys -- after piecing together calendars and data from both the stars and documented history -- devised a way to come up with a real date.

Let me just quick step to the punch: April 3rd may very well be deemed Good Friday, and April 5th, Easter, from this day forward ..and thank God there is a God who clearly thought this one through, no?  You know, how awkward would it be if  it turned out to be April 15th, or right smack dab on the first, right...whew, that was a close one...

...wouldn't that news have the power to create enough material for the late night talk shows for decades to come -- or at least until we all go off the air...that being our fate, certainly forthcoming, after the current season of having our credit worthiness downgraded...what, with all the Islamic caliphate-ing going on...with the price of gasoline and soybeans and corn and wheat skyrocketing...with the debt ceiling about to be raised for the 75th time...with social security, medicare and medicaid having only about twenty years of life, if that...with the dollar dropping and shares for goldline popping...with the power elite of the world homing in on a new world order coming to a theater near you soon, details at eleven.

Is it fear mongering when it comes from truth?  is it?  is it?
Does it make any of it less true if the lessons come without attributing said truth to the rightful owner/producer/purveyor of said truth?

Perception is everything indeed. Our willingness to see all sides, with peripheral vision, even double vision, against that which we deem impossible, could never happen, and is otherwise considered just another crack pot nut job at it again -- seems to be a skill only a few dare to tread.

I have told this story before, I'm sure, but one of the most infamous people from my high school was just a girl named Brenda Spencer -- a quiet, shy type who never said a word in the Honors English class we shared. The long and the short of it, she was the subject of a song about Mondays after she shot up the front yard of the elementary school just across the street from her home...

And all because she was quoted as saying, "I don't like Mondays."  That was all it took for a creative genius to pick it up and make a  popular song out of it, profiting wildly.

We are thirty years passed all of this, but the point is, when people hear the song, do you think they know the history, the truth, after all these years?  Generally speaking, I think not; only if somebody were to come along and connect the dots are the stars all aligned.  And taking this one step further, do you think Brenda ever got a cut?  Somebody made money off of her in the light of day. thanks to Boomtown Rats.  true story.

the thing is, sometimes we can get caught up in details that really don't matter over all; if those who feel shunned by the improper use of their video on the GB program really thought about it, surely they must be wondering by now, why now, too. Why now?  Why are these people coming out of the woodwork now, after he has had years of being on TV, after a couple years being on Fox News alone, for goodness sakes -- a place we all know, a sitting target for all kinds of attacks every day.  Why now?

Just like all of the other hair raising questions the GB program has produced for us on a daily basis, why now can be used for most everything under the sun.  egypt, check.  libya, check. islamic caliphate, check. wisconsin, check check. the dollar - deficits - national debt, hat trick check point and match.  Accusations of GB using miles of miscellaneous video feed without proper identification...check history.

America relies on every generation understanding the basic principles year in and year out. Stories of our heritage, and our birth, and the reasons why we were made, must be passed on -- or one day, there might come a day that we will have all forgotten how it ever happened, let alone understand what it will take for us to carry on, respective of all that we know to be true, all that we know to be untrue, and all that we wish our future to be.

Much like a parent telling the story of the day they were born to their child --  truth sometimes gives way to creative license... to play up the parts that thrill... to embellish fits of circumstance with impassioned spirit... to connect the dots and lineage with history and reality in ways that lift us up, not tear us down.

Easter, apparently has a birthday now.  Who knew?  who would have ever thought that one day Easter would have it's day.  Of course, time will tell with what we do with this sort of news -- Hallmark hasn't had a chance work it into the system yet -- while, if the Left have anything to do with it, I wouldn't be surprised if they are already working madly at scrubbing this new found glorious detail as we speak. (cache anyone?)

Mondays -- some of us hate them and some of us dig them -- no surprise there; still others make the most of it before noon.

Make it a Good Day, G
