It's a Miso Soup Thing

Dear America,

I am the master of my fate.  
I am the captain of my soul.

just yesterday, in G dayz, we were speaking about Katy Perry's lament of the misogynist-in-chief (as if he was the first ever, right?).  Hello?  Can we talk Kennedy?  Hmmmmm and suddenly, the term 'leading from behind' takes a turn around the dance floor with an entirely new perspective.  Or how about Billy bob-devil-in-a-blue-dress-and-a-cigar Clinton?  Of course, both Bushies are major suspects, too, as a family history repeats itself.  We could probably find dirt on every single president to date....and maybe even their wives, too.  According to one biography, rumor has it Grace Coolidge fooled around with a couple of the secret service boys...oh my.

Oh happy friday. This girl is so happy, so happy, it's friday.

Having just left a guy only a month ago [see blog on finding my little light, here] , this isn't particularly the best time for a discussion on boys.  Tee hee.  But Oh! do I love boys and hate boys and love them again...indeed.

Just for foreplay, when it comes to hanky-panky and playing around, the honest truth is that there is usually a girl who participates with the boy; which in fair turn -- given equality for all and all for one -- makes the girl just as culpable and equally corrupt as boy.  THIS is NOT the same thing as a girl receiving unwanted advances or being on the receiving end of some kind of sexual assault, or being battered with sexually explicit words all the live long day with words that degrade her, disrespect her, or otherwise make her feel dirty, or an object, in an unprotected workplace, and one that clearly has created an environment unfit for the times.

But the thing is, to keep playing with this word, MISOGYNY -- this label, really -- and allow just a whip of the tongue to instantly assail a powerful guy......... perhaps we need to be more consistent.  Just sayin'.

Besides, much of the time, it's really a misuse of the word.  For by definition, any time we place a MISO-- in the front of the word, it stands for hatred; and as such, misogamy is a hatred of marriage; misology is a hatred of reason, argument, or enlightenment; misoneism is a hatred of change or innovation; and finally, misogyny is a HATRED of women.  [And thank you to my American Heritage Dictionary]

This girl has said this before:  but does anyone really think The Donald hates women?  Is it about hatred when he wants to get in a girl's pants?   Anyone?  Are all womanizers misogynists?  Please, someone, tell me.

And so then, answering the question of what do we know and when did we know it, on the fly -- if Katy Perry thinks Trump is the quintessential misogynist-in-chief, then that would make her, quite possibly, a California GURL/Pop Star impersonating a miso-neist by way of miso-logy.  ....take that and dial it back.

Now perhaps the misogyny label can be placed quite appropriately upon the Princes and Kings of Saudi Arabia....but if we go there, we might as well call every Muslim man, following Sharia Law,  a misogynist, right?  And if we go there, considering some horrific news of late, we might as well add any doctor who commits female genitalia mutilation surgery upon girls...yes, and even within the boundaries of these great United States of America.  Does Katy got a voice on that?

Words matter.  Name calling matters.

It is a complete misnomer to call President Donald Trump a misogynist; not only that, it's misjudging the situation, misleading the truth, and misinterpreting his behavior.

Ah in this era of mine, when it's seems most natural to mutter the words, oh who needs a man -- suddenly, the consideration of adding et. al.  comes to mind.  Oh my fellow man, my fellow man, how you make this girl crazy sometimes.   But of course, this is what the G Thing is all about, duh --- keeping a silly diary from one American girl to the next, and in particular, keeping tabs on politics and pop culture and populists and miso-populists alike or not alike at all.

It's all about double standards and double speak with The Left, isn't it?

Oh sure -- The Left is totally into free speech, are most tolerable and love everyone -- IF you march lock, stock, and barrel, with placards and chanting and bandannas across your face, along with the kind of anarchy they preach.  yeah, yeah, that's all fine and good. and yet....if you color outside the lines....

The whole truth is, they are Miso-Milo and Miso-Coulter simply based upon the side of politics they stand; now talk about misology!  What is The Left so afraid of?  Why is The Left so close-minded and intolerant?  Why is The Left misbehaving so -- and where will the censorship stop --- when the leftists make fascist their last name and mutilate from the roots any last shred of evidence that conservatives ever existed, let alone deserve any respect, let alone happiness?   The Left is so good at rewriting science, history, and basically having its way with anyone who doesn't think like them.

And actually, if we go there, we might as well label the entire Left as misogynists against ALL conservative women -- girls like me!   For it has become quite clear -- the Left hates, disregards, hellbent to emasculate the natural power, the organically grown feminism of it's own kind, of the conservative girl.

No matter.  For the things we conservative gurls  carry in the midst of this cultural war upon those of us walking the road less traveled -- with the mass, mainstream media fully ignoring our every voice --  is an awfully seductive dance of courage, of disobedience,  of grace, uncommon.  Oh libertad, Oh Libertad, Invictus is mine.

Oh my, I must have said 'girl'  a million times today -- definitely more than usual;  i got carried away.  But as truth be told, and retold, and rewritten and retold, let it be understood, I am no longer just a girl on any given day -- I am more like G-hahd Jane; I'm in a fight for America -- for my life and yours (even the anarchists and lefty's) -- every single GI joe day no matter what comes out of everybody's mouth.

It;s All About an End of an Error Thing

Dear America,

Civilizations will rise and fall, but this is the United States of America...No matter what I have said in the past, we've always been and always will be a AAA country and exceptional in every way...now give me back my credit rating.

According to Ben Feller, an AP White House Correspondent, "S&P officials said that five countries including Canada and Australia have lost their AAA ratings from S&P and then regained them. The shortest time that it took a country to regain an AAA rating was nine years and the longest time was 18 years."

Can you just imagine it? going another nine years operating under a veil of rocky credibility, questionable fiscal accountability, wanton corruption, and the continuation of political divide reaching polarities of extremities so far and wide we quite possibly simply fall down and go boom?

Can you just imagine it? going another eighteen years before, with certainty now, falling down and go boom?

This snippet in time exemplifies every sound principle, every minute detail of the separation of powers, every fine glimmer of reason which decidedly mounted our foundation upon austerity, humility, and conservative ideals in the first place; the founders purposely rested the general welfare upon the individual to hold to the universal values and principles broadly accepted as Natural Law in order to protect us.

And with good reason too, right?  The great responsibility and duty to stand guard and stand up to the fall of man fell to each and every one of us to uphold. 


Human error alert, human error alert...

It wasn't long ago that I was being, for lack of better word, schooled by someone in my family circle. In a nutshell, this was the approach:

“liberals tend to evolve their beliefs and their ideas based more on “lived experiences” than established family/religious/ideological traditions.” [that would be a direct attack against my position as a conservative, just to clue you in]


And by the way, this is one of the 'lighter' lessons, having arrived at this left brain common sense through their personal experiences of course.

The thing is, whether we are knee deep simply into our own little microcosm of humanity, or attempt to be in relationship in the macro, the same dynamic seems to be upon us -- overwhelming us with animosity and a life long separation driven by differences, rather than our commonalities of humanity,  namely, the good things which have the power to carry us in the bad times and keep us tied together united celebrating our good.

The common good was the driving force of our foundation in the past, while it is the fundamental solution to a happy future.

At the risk of repeating thoughts of blogs past -- just how can we expect our government to be able to solve monumental issues that have been building up for years, uncomfortably amplified during the holidays, while undermining the opportunity we have before us to really learn, grow, prosper, and move on into the future with sweetness and light, when just across our own kitchen table sits the same destructive forces?

I mean, my God, just keeping aligned with embracing a simple law of civility seems beyond reach; believing we live and breathe and dynamically function as part of one big American family, respective of our inherent motto 'e pluribus unum', if the times tell us anything at all, we can fuggetaboutit.

The lines have been drawn, or decided for us.  This is good.  This is evil.  Done. [if only in our own minds]

We can't operate and progress happily, merrily, jovially under the weight of this family code.

Just look at London. Here's just one voice explaining it:

"This is the uprising of the working class. We're redistributing the wealth," said Bryn Phillips, a 28-year-old self-described anarchist, as young people emerged from the store with chocolate bars and ice cream cones.

Phillips claimed rioters were motivated by distrust of the police, and drew a link between the rage on London's street and insurgent right-wing politics in the United States. "In America you have the tea party, in England you've got this," he said.

That, a direct quote out of an AP/London article describing 'on a 3rd day'.

This is London circa 2011 [yes, just like Greece, the fall back method of choice to solve societal corruptions large and small] and it is coming to America.

If you think we are immune just remember Wisconsin just a few months back; remember Arizona a year ago; and then recollect Cairo and just remember the power to the people celebrating the so-called, peaceful 'Arab Spring' -- the same one responsible for the violent attack, I mean rape, of an American reporter within their midst who simply was there to record a slice of history.

Chaos is the new civility.

And by the way Bryn, anarchist-in-chief of the hour, you, sir, are no Tea Party equivalent.  DO you see ANYONE from the Tea Party using violence as a means for change?  DO you see ANYONE from the Tea Party leaving so much as a paper cup behind, let alone a trail of riotous devastation against innocent people and commercial enterprises?

I wrote down a comment made on a story a couple of days ago -- my apologies for neither remembering the story or the tag name of it's origin.  I do, however, remember I was surfing stories on The Daily Caller, if that helps at all, probably not, whatever.  But this is what I scratched out and placed in a prominent place for future pickings:

they never let rationality or experience 
get in their way."

The means to an end seems of little concern, trivial, even if it may be highly uncivil, harmful, destructive, violent, and divisive in every way; and goes the same if whether or not it comes via covert ops [by example through the upper echelon operatives of this administration] or straight up [as in the riots of London].

Our founding fathers got it right for just so many reasons!

The building of our America upon universal truths centering upon the power of the INDIVIDUAL, of self-reliance, resting in a limited government in every way, and relying upon the RULE of LAW to decide in absolutes and above all protecting us from ourselves explains everything -- in this moment reflective of the life we have made for ourselves.

The founders saw this coming and gave it their best shot to align all future generations with proven statutes of civility, of lawfulness, of honor, of credibility, of accountability, of integrity, of faith, of hope, of charity.

IT IS NOT THE LAWS FAULT that we are in this mess; it is the people's fault.  [and by all appearances, it would seem to be true that only the Tea Party recognizes this profound grasp of the oncoming great fall of human nature, of man, of civilization as we know it in America going on right now... maybe even right down a street near you]

but oops we did it again.

Austerity measures are coming to America -- whether we choose to see it or not, whether we agree with it or not.  For richer or for poorer.  In sickness and in health.

While here we are, deep into the aftermath of the S & P downgrade fiddling with our daily experience in both the micro and the macro -- with the anti-austerity revolutions raging far and wide -- THIS is our new reality.  We may not be seeing it yet just down the street, but it is coming.

The S & P cited the brutal, and sometimes juvenile, divide between the parties as part and parcel of their decision.  The way I look at it, it was kind of like a father sounding off from the head of the table saying, 'knock it off.'  The arguing about nothing and everything -- and anything but the truth -- was getting to him.

You know it's not like we didn't see this S & P thing coming...I mean, c'mon, they have been sounding off about this -- in the company of other credit rating agencies to boot -- for months now; it was as if months ago, the S & P told the president and this administration, 'don't call my bluff.'

It's a Know Your History Thing

Dear America,


I'll admit it; I do not know my history the way I should.  But at nearly a half century old, I do believe there is still hope for me.  And I can tell you this, the more I begin to know, the more I want to know; the deeper I get into it, the deeper I want to go.  It's as if uncovering America's true birth, with all the ages in between, completes a part of me I never knew existed.

The truth is, our history is not just a story like out of the movies or as told by book or by Nook  -- it is real life, real people, countrymen we have descended from, in one way or another, who remarkably live on only in our memory.  When we forget the stories, when we stop telling them, we will lose that which binds.

SO the good news this happy monday morn... now that Sarah Palin has caused such a stir (again) having made crazy claims about Paul Revere and the British and all....having the audacity to go a step further and claim Revere was also alerting the Brits who were here and living among us, as they say (because they were), to not even try -- is that, rest assured, she did it again!

She made us all think about our past; while, she just might have, caused a few of us to crack open a book to get the facts straight -- if only in our own little heads -- or to write a commentary on the HuffPo or Politico; she made us give pause, long enough to give the ride deeper thought, in hopes of trying to understand what we have all grown up to pass off as just a man, and his horse, running through town, yelling and screaming, 'the British are coming, the British are coming.'

Funny -- as they were already here. and in force!

The British were forcing upon the colonies such servitude to the King and beyond, we had to rise up and take arms against the crown; the whole reason of coming to the new world, fleeing religious persecution in the name of religious freedoms, was to get as far away from tyranny as possible, and it would have been in vain if we did nothing.

In the middle of Patrick Henry's speech before the Virginia House of Burgesses, March 23, 1775 -- you know, the famous one where he ends it with the often repeated cry...."but for me, give me liberty or give me death!" --  he gave us this:

"They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary.  But when shall we be stronger?  Will it be next week, or the next year?  Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house?  Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction?  Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our back and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?  Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power.  The millions of people, armed in holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us.  Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone.  There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us.   The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave...There is no retreat but in submission and slavery?"

What will it take, he says, until a "British guard shall be stationed in every house?"  This had become customary, our homes were not our homes; our lives were not our lives -- British rule surrounded us and made us subjects of British rule, even though an ocean separated us, even while a brand new ideology was beginning to shape us.

In Henry's opening statement, he sets up the audience saying:

"for my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in  proportion to this magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate.  It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, to fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country.  Should I keep back my opinions at such time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards country, and of an act of disloyalty town the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings."

Sarah Palin is a living example of a Paul Revere, a Patrick Henry -- going right smack up against the rising tide, set forth by rudimentary standards, enforced by the clear and present narrow-mindedness of mainstream media and left wing pundits.  They feast upon her so-called gaffes; they profit from every move she makes, whether by bus or by fuss.  And through it all, she fears not of giving offense.

Like any battle, victory goes to the "vigilant, the active, the brave."

For me, I love Henry's second paragraph, when he gives us this:

"Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope.[isn't that just stellar We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts.  Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty?  Are we  disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation?  For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it."

continuing,

"...And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British ministry for the last ten years to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves and the House. Is it that insidious smile with which our petition has been lately received?  Trust it not, sir, it will prove a snare to your feet.  Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss..."

continuing,

"There is no longer any room for hope.  If we wish to be free -- if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending -- if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained -- we must fight!   I repeat it, sir, we must fight!  An appeal to arms and to the God of hosts is all that is left us!"

Every facet of the truth is essential; it is a way to expand our understanding and grow a deeper connection, not only with each other through story, but forging our path forward, knowing everything there is to know, having been thoroughly bathed in our shadow.  Shining light upon our history, even through our most darkest hours, is what gives relevance and meaning to each new generation that comes.

Sure, maybe a Palin does not speak for everyone -- just as a George Schwartz (now Soros) does not speak for me.  But no matter which side you fall, Palin is making us get it -- you know, a history lesson or two along the way; we are delving deeper into our past more now than we have been for years, generally speaking.  We are talking about Paul Revere in the town square -- can it be any more self-evident than that?

And how about that Alec Baldwin, telling us if he thinks Mitt is our man.  Or, how about anyone on the left telling the right how we should think about the long list of able bodied, patriotic Americans willing to throw their hat into the ring and become the next President of the United States of America.

Are you kidding me? and how did Patrick Henry put it...

"They tell us, sir, that we are weak;

Who are you to tell any of us how to think -- considering, you are basically speaking for all the rest of us who happen to fall just right of center, and sit as a majority in these here colonies now standing united? Hey, FYI, only about 20% of Americans buy into the whole hard core social justice fundamental transformation mania thing...and only about another 20% are best described as left tilt...the rest -- ah, how do you say -- and the rest is history.  It is that 60% you need to look out for -- the "vigilant, the active, the brave"  -- a band of citizenry respective of our past, knowing full well what is at stake -- who will make a history that changes everything.

ah details...as "our brethren are already in the field!   why stand we here idle?  what is it that gentlemen wish? what would they have?  is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?
Forbid it, Almighty God!  
I know not what course others may take; 
but for me, 
give me liberty, or give me death!"

the thing is, today,  in spirit  -- I piggy-bareback with the man and his horse taking a midnight ride... alongside the man who said "there is no longer any room for hope"...and not to be left out, or outdone, sitting alongside that girl riding the bus somewhere in New England this morning...God only knows what she will say today.  And amen to that.

To really dig deep into the psyche of her adversaries -- especially the media trying to keep up with her, in hopes of making sense out of her every move -- my thoughts tell me she should make it as uncomfortable as possible for them; something Palin might use, to add to her ensemble, is a Snaps Cup (only Legally Blonde aficionados will enjoy that); every time she pops open the door she could have a 'snaps for Americana' just itching to be told and attacked with eyeball rolls, deep rooted indignation, and intolerance a plenty.  one man's annoyance might just be another girl's bliss.  it happens everyday. even here.  with a little pink lipstick, it really brings the whole look together.

Dear America,


TGIF

Fascinating how the Left thinks, isn't it?  As much as they, generally speaking, hum and haw about God, keeping our religion, and clinging to anything remotely holy, in the macro, they very much believe and advocate recreating a new America under their own, for lack of better reference, God dot gov.

The Left is perfectly fine shape-shifting the environment, the life and times, replacing church of Christ, Heavenly Father,  Holy Ghost, and the Almighty (as according to one's personal beliefs) with a twisted version of church and state, nearly returning us to the age of the Church of England.  And all without anyone saying a word; mums the word; tally ho, and away we go.


Oh G, you can't be serious?  seriously?  really? this is where your little head is wandering off to today?

Oh yeah, you better believe it.

Think about it.

Who sets the moral standard anymore?

Who tells us where our community tithe must go, and by how much?

Who designates millions of dollars for programs that morally cross aspects of playing God and deciding fate?

Who has become, after decades of manipulation, using guilt, fear, and our natural compassion, up against the right thing to do, as the new Absolute in decision making?

Who has directed nearly the full extinction of the African-American community in America, without anyone thinking twice about it (including African-Americans)?

Who screams the loudest when it comes to the separation of church and state, and yet turns around with affirmative action reforming and rewriting our nation's Judeo-Christian heritage, cleansing our books of all religious history, mischaracterizing America's true north and the liberties that only come from God, our Creator, the Supreme Being that is echoed throughout our purple mountains majesty, our fruited plains, from sea to shining sea?

Who does that?

I could of course go on, but for the sake of staying on point with the argument, let's not and say we did (morally, we are cool like that, right?).

So let me just put this out there, too, since I seem to be on a roll --

Suffice it to say and contrary to popular belief, the so-called Superiority complex isn't found starboard at all; heaven's no, it is more akin to settling in port side -- on the left, and as far left as you can go, the better -- and taking it even further, basically any port in a storm works magnificently.

For those on the Right, the preference (if given a choice) is to leave free will in the hands of the people, trusting, as a moral people (at best), we will continue to do the right thing; and recognizing our place, choosing to revere God and get out of the way, and simply allow God to do what God does best.

For those on the Left, it would seem after the last forty years or so, growing government to the extent of rolling into, if not over, acts of God, seems downright commonplace, almost a natural progression; with a perfectly placed pregnant pause HERE, it wouldn't take much to see that we have been shamelessly emasculated of the principles and values once held dear.

The Left ideology has seeped into every facet of our lives.  With great aplomb, the halls of church and state unite, becoming a conglomerate of sorts, controlling the parish, extinguishing the old world, beginning anew -- for the Left... in their heart of hearts... really, and truly... believes they know better than you and God put together.

Look around, we are back to square one, people...

The Church of England has got nothing on what the Church of Port can do; what, with the internet, Facebook, Twitter, and the umpteen left wing hubsites generated out of the creative life force of billionaires, like the agnostic/atheist/anti-Christ in George Soros, adhering to the principles and tactics of brainwashing, organizing for solidarity, protesting, all following the doctrines and dogma synonymous with the liberal agenda high and low, new parishioners gravitate and congregate exponentially.

The Church of Port may have started out innocently enough, having taken a moment of silence and prayer out of public schools; only now, with the natural progression and evolution, replacing American history with a new emphasis on "gay history" (already featured at a California school near you); and if that wasn't enough, it falls within the same school district that allows a child to leave school premises for an abortion without parental notification; and just this past week, drafted a new program dolling out condoms to eleven year old's in Pennsylvania.

The Church of Port would like nothing more than extinguish and brutally bury the American heritage defined at birth; for the Church of Port wants apocalyptic change -- which must happen, in order to bring about a new world order.

The Church of Port would like nothing better than wipe out our inherent Individual freedoms and liberties, carrying along with them every God ordained attribute and value:  self-reliance, gone; independent thinker, absolutely not, it's all about the collective mind and the collective needs; individual property, prosperity, not if it takes away from the whole -- redistribution, y'll...you get my drift.

The Church of Port wants to be your all, your glory and the light; it wants to Be where you turn to first (somewhere between Chairman Mao and Mother Teresa) for consolation, for return on investment, beholden to the mission of saving you from total despair; and, if need be, replacing that worn out religion with no fuss, no muss, in no time. Because that's how much they feel for you.

This is a superiority complex acting out to the nth degree; no longer are we to value the rippling effect beginning with the individual, to family, to church, to community -- generating the spontaneous injection of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness all from the town square; steadfast in the wake of everything crumbling around us, the Church of Port becomes the Commons, ironically siding with the one thing we abhorred so much, it caused a revolution.

NO longer is it all about limited government with unlimited possibility; God dot.gov makes way for a 21st century tsunami, taking over our lives in ways unexpected, unprotected and totally oblivious to the level of devastation fast approaching; the Church of Port @ God.gov leads the way, making straight paths, crooked; creating false Gods and bearing false witness, all under the guise of an age old ideology with a new age twist -- for it is cool to be your own God, isn't it?  So much power and might...at least, in the moment.

Who needs a real God when we've got God dot.gov, right?

Judgment day is not mine to make (duh) -- having said that, and just looking at what is known and unknown, seen and unseen, the world they seem all too comfortable recreating is the one that God made. 

I know who I am and I am small, indeed, just a girl sitting on God's lap -- feeling genuine compassion for the Left, who, having positioned themselves to be a port with no true harbor, sit lost... floating aimlessly... buoyed by their own assertions and agenda... clinging to no religion, too, on their own ship of fools. 

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, this is a message of the emergency broadcast system:  I was just blind sided with a cupcake from Sprinkles; my girl brought one home to me, chocolate with vanilla icing and loaded with sprinkles. talk about a mouth full of heaven...and cupcakes have never been my thing.  One cupcake costs nearly as much as a gallon of gas -- at $3.50 a pop -- but that's just how scrumptious they are. Oh, how easily we can be swayed.   in an instant, welcome to the dark side, all gone. buh-bye. at least it felt good going down.

Dear America,


Happy Tuesday


you know what I believe Fox News teaches us -- that if we are to have a real conversation, if we are to ever get to the bottom of the "sensible center"...as President Obama described it in his interview with Bill O'Reilly...and get to the yummy goodness found only in the middle... in order to solve our nation's problems... to reach a compromise on more serious issues that directly effect our ability to 'win the future' -- then we need to look no further than Fox News. 

And if you actually watch Fox News on a regular basis, with an open mind that is, you would know exactly what I'm talking about.

ONLY Fox News brings fair and balanced reporting on both sides of the issue every day;
ONLY Fox News welcomes panels from all over the political dial every day;
ONLY Fox News delves into both the conservative and the liberal view every day; and deep down, even Obama agrees with that observation, and more importantly, "respects" Fox for what it brings to the media round table...everyday.

There was a total misfire moment with the liberal media, being so set in their ways, coming to the interview pre-judging it already, entirely missing things practically spelled out for them; after pounding O'Reilly since Sunday, accusing him of being disrespectful to the president, mostly stemming from his line of questioning as to how much some people hate him; his follow up, with additional footage intact, on the O'Reilly Factor was brilliant, really.

...it was as if he just let them  walk right into it...knowing full well that he, himself, had thoroughly dotted the I's and crossed the T's, in step with the back story, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

For the truth is, even as he carefully prefaced the question to the president right up front, admitting to the president and to the audience, on the spot, that he asked the very same thing to President Bush only a couple of months back...go back, listen for yourself again, or read the transcript here... his questioning was fair and balanced all the way.

While in typical polarizing fashion, the left immediately wanted to find a winner and a loser.

It's an interview!  Why does there have to be this gotcha moment?  And to get a visual on this crazy concept, Bill O'Reilly is certainly, and by far, and in more ways than two, no Katie Couric.

Now, the thing is, you would have to be living under a rock to be oblivious to the amount of hate manufactured here in America on a daily basis -- under a rock, I tell you -- no, make that a boulder.

Pick out ANY article, of ANY political view, and you get a string of comments venting to the nth degree showing absolutely no regard for human decency, no filter for poor taste, making all of us look bad.  With the amount of hate spewed on a minute by minute basis in this country and around the globe, no wonder we can almost operate totally immune to it by now. and isn't THAT a sad, sad thing to behold...

Half the time, I think to myself, does your mother know you talk like that?  Or... how would you like it if someone said that about you?  Or...do you kiss your dog with that mouth?  Because it is gnarly stuff.  I read the comments and think, oh my gosh, we're toast, burnt  $&%*ing toast.

Talk about absolutely no checks and balances!  We are ripe with atrocities of common man decency in the every day, lost apparently, to the new age of anonymity -- woohoo, let the fur fly, America -- power to the people!

Step back, please.

Take a breath, please.

Just because there is plenty of room -- wide open spaces actually --  to display our deep seated ideological differences, it doesn't mean we should, I mean, like that anyway; sure, we are all card carrying members of an elite group, bestowing upon us the very freedom giving each and every one of us creative license to simply sound off  and treat each other like $@*&! if we want to -- but do we really want to be that kind of country?

We've never made it customary to act like this before -- that is, and get away with it -- so why do we allow ourselves to sink to this new kind of low now?

I tend to believe that most conservatives, and independents, and good decent liberals, share this view with me.  I tend to believe, and trust, that most of us do not get caught up with this kind of hyper-vitriolic tit for tat.

I tend to believe, that those who do this -- you know, comment in free abandon -- usually misspelling simple words, throwing in choice urban phrases of attack, coloring their views with four letter descriptions, and labeling anyone of another political view as simply &^#*%*#&(^(@$(@%&@%, and having no real facts to back it up, oh, and acting as if they are all that, anonymously guarded under some strange disguised persona... that within a blink of an eye,  it transparently tells us everything we need to know without having to read a anything  more -- you know, those people -- I tend to believe it couldn't be any more than the bottom 2%.

For who, in their right mind, would act like that, talk like that, and actually think they garnered any great respect after it?

Not in this America.

And yet, $#@* happens.


What has become totally acceptable to the general public is attacking conservatives -- especially people like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann -- with no regard for decency or holding back whatsoever.

While it has become widely known that oh, my goodness, that Fox News, seems to be the only station displaying any opposition to the liberal view -- all mainstream media, all other cable news outlets, all of them, collectively gravitate and glorify the view that is only seen by the left eye, never the right, while some go so far as chastising the conservative opinion as being somewhat less than human.

But switching gears for a bit,
Joining with the ranks of world leaders, like Angela Merkel, we have news coming out of the meetings in Germany that show surprising changes to the western world's political correctness coming up on the horizon:

"We have even tolerated these segregated communities behaving in ways that run counter to our values. So when a white person holds objectionable views – racism, for example – we rightly condemn them. But when equally unacceptable views or practices have come from someone who isn’t white, we’ve been too cautious, frankly even fearful, to stand up to them,"

In so many ways, we have grown tolerant to unacceptable behavior -- why is that?   What does that say about the whole?

Perhaps if we could each be responsible for our own civility, the world would truly change overnight; even if it is in small ways, when we add them all together -- when we paint by the numbers and stay within the lines -- eventually we create a work of art, not a piece of overpriced meaningless #&*%...right?

Reading the nation's comments on a daily basis could make anyone dizzy, and sick to their stomach  -- no longer does it agree with who we are as a nation, and what we are supposed to stand for and live up to.

Truth is, we are so much better than the pee brains who respond in knee jerk reaction -- even if those people include those we normally trust as respected journalists, award winning authors, long time political pundits, historians, and even sometimes out of the mouth of someone who should always act presidential in every way...

...remembering a few metaphorical remarks from Obama over the last two years,  advocating things like "we don't mind Republicans joining us, they can come for a ride, but they gotta sit in the back [is that, in the back of a bus, mr. president? you should know better than to say something like that]",


or how about this one, "After they drove the car into the ditch, made it as difficult as possible for us to pull it back, now they want the keys back. No! You can't drive. We don't want to have to go back into the ditch. We just got the car out."


or how about this one,“We’ve got our mops and our brooms out here, and were cleaning stuff out and they’re sitting there saying, ‘Hold the broom better; that’s not how you mop.’ Don’t tell me how to mop! Pick up a mop! Do some work on behalf of the American people to solve some of these problems.’’ 


or how about this one, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” this is exactly what Obama said while attending a fundraiser in Philadelphia in 2008...adding, “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”

good stuff.

Now, when you actually get the president talking to anyone outside of  'his base' -- you get something more tolerable, almost polite, and sounding more like something like this.

That was a about a year ago -- it was right after these remarks addressing the representatives of the GOP, when the nation, and the president, morphed into campaign mode -- when he quickly began throwing out much of his heartwarming and sincere sentiment right out the Greyhound rear window, only to bounce off the Chrysler front bumper, and wind up harpooned and shellacked after the mid-term elections.

You know, the president laughed a lot [over the entire interview with Bill]...

Which is kinda funny, as anytime we are faced with a question we are afraid to answer, or want to avoid answering at all costs, we tend to laugh, uncomfortable with being put on the spot.  Couldn't help but notice how much O'Reilly got that kind of first chuckle reaction -- and at one point,  he even had to say to the president, "no, I mean, it's a serious question."

Over half of American public does not like the policies of the Obama Administration -- some people, as a matter of record, might actually hate.

And  we will agree, to disagree, with that all the live long day.
And when we do, it should be coming from a place not only found nestled in the deep of our best intentions, but it very well should come rushing in with what's seemingly on the blind side of the merits and nothing else.

What anonymous commentators must realize after all, once you lower yourself to the makings of your argument coming from a) character assassination  b) generalities solely based upon race, culture or religion or c) include improper, uncivil, rude, malicious, provocative language merely to huff & puff  -- you immediately lose whatever audience you think you had.

The thing is, I just can't understand how it is possible, in this day and age, to give these kind of bottom feeders any kind of credibility, let alone take the time to read what it is they have to say. I would say it is truly CO2 run amuk -- begging the final question, just where is the climate change police when we need them most? -- but in reality, they really aren't opening their mouths, are they -- whoever thought a little thing like a keyboard could be a saving grace (and having said that, it's not like I believe in CO2 being a crazy pollutant either).

Dear America,

In a nutshell, this explains the difference in ideologies between left and right.

Russ Feingold -- the senator about to lose his seat in Wisconsin -- continues to cling to the devastation of legislation passed over the last two years, turning a blind eye to the people, in full on denial of what is about to happen to him, emphatically stating, "...I don't think we want to go backwards..." so behind in the polls he can't see straight.

Yeah, I think we do -- that is, if you think restoring America to her founding principles and values is a step in that direction.

As a whole, we like the center -- or rather, the spot just right of center; that's where we like to live.
The Left seems to gravitate to this kind of use of disparaging language, pointing fingers to the wayward, backward thinking of the right almost too easily -- it's like their big go to button in name calling.
Running for Governor in Colorado, John Hickenlooper,  received a glut of unwanted attention for a comment he made some time last year -- having only been reincarnated in the middle of a contentious campaign -- when he made the grave error of lumping Coloradans into the "same kind of 'backwards thinking' that led to the slaying of gay college student Matthew Shepard in Wyoming.

According to an article in The Denver Post, "Hickenlooper's spokesman, George Merritt, said Hickenlooper 'was making the point that the kind of intolerance that led to Matthew Shepard's murder is not unique to a single community in Wyoming'." That's all he was doing, okay, get over it, no big deal, moving on.org.

Yes, and making no further comment on guns and religion in his remarks, Merritt left us lingering -- as if there really is something to a name -- and believing he really wanted to.

Just what is sooo backwards (say it like a valley girl) is like expecting people to be able to fully, honorably, compassionately, and productively have the capacity to govern themselves?   Really?  Just what part of that, exactly, seems unreasonable?

Our local paper, the "U-T" now (peeling off from the big long name, The San Diego Union-Tribune) poses an economic question to a panel of fiscal policy fanatics from the area.  It's eight of the same round of brains each week, responding to a topical issue of the day, and featured in the Sunday paper.

This past Sunday asked, "Do you favor quick action to reduce the federal deficit in the next round of budget deliberations?  If so, should that take the form of tax increases, spending cuts (including entitlements) or both?

Oh. Color me surprised.  The count was split down the middle, 50-50.

Now, you can choose to dismiss or deny or twist the truth anyway you wish; you can go by way of Russ Feingold all you want; but this seems to solidify and exemplify exactly who we are, as a people -- and likewise, points us to the very direction we must go when contemplating solutions -- our due north is center; are you listening Washington?

And crazy as it may sound,  taking a closer look at the various answers the panel gave, the funny thing is we are basically saying the same thing when it comes to our economic picture.

We know THIS is unsustainable; we know we are weak right now; we know it will take a combination of real spending cuts, tweaking entitlement regulations, and raising more revenue -- how we differ is in the how we do it and how much.

But since history repeats itself, if for just one moment we could look at where we went wrong, it may tell us everything we need to know -- if anything else, it will paint a clearer picture against the past, something is bound to jump out at us.

While, as you would expect from my vantage point by now -- according to me, G, we went WRONG when we went LEFT to solve our ills.

It was the very point we said government can take care of you, better than you can take care of yourself.

It was the very point we said government can pay for what you can't, or won't, or haven't got..

It was the very point we said 'government is here' and 'you are there', let's come together -- all you have to do is release a few of your personal freedoms and liberties, and make way for the government to regulate, and profit, from every facet of our life -- it's for your own good, you know.

My girl, who I must say is wise beyond her years (much of the time, anyway) had the task of coming up with a thesis for her Honors English class over the weekend; it is to be based upon the current book of study, The Odyssey.  Still a work in progress and awaiting a teacher conference for approval, her initial thought sent her in the direction of the malady nestled deep down in the attraction of choosing short term gain over long term survival and success.

huh, I wonder what might have made her go there?

I just find it amusing really; so much of what we really believe to be the answers these days are right in front of us -- it's just that right now, what we seem to be short of, is a healthy round of government officials with the courage to go the distance, to make the hard calls, to cut the spending and expand a business environment ripe for the taking; the real scurvy is no longer hidden from view below deck -- it lives amongst us and is killing every opportunity for survival left and right, even in the light of day.

We are simply malnourished in the principles that enliven real growth, that would ultimately feed into a contagion of enthusiasm and confidence, and send us sailing into directions onward and upward and forward thinking -- in the way this nation was intended.

The founders set us off with perfect conditions for prosperity -- it was full speed ahead all the way, with everyone finding a place to hone their skills, to make their mark, and blend into a crew of one nation, unlike any other of it's time; matter of fact, one could almost say, our founders were before their time -- knowing full well what could happen to us if we failed each other, if we let each other down, if we did not stay awake to look out for rocks and pirates, warning us even, of all the unforeseen interferences and fallacies of man to better equip ourselves for a vibrant and prosperous future course, and build a country with honor and a faith unwavering.

America was intended to be different than all the rest.

What is backwards is believing that more government is more the answer -- and this remains to be where we went wrong from the start, at about the turn of the twentieth century.

Somebody in high places thought America's premise needed tweaking, somebody like a Feingold or a Hickenlooper, decided for us a new direction, and now utterly and sadly responsible for the whole wide world of fantasy and reality rocking every move we make.

The frigate itself is in fine shape -- what needs to be changed is the ideology at the wheel; while ironically, falling back to our founding principles may be all that we have left;  fortunately for us, we are still in a position to rely on a little backwards thinking to smack us upside the head and get us out of here, as the sirens serenading through the fog spell nothing but trouble.

So, let us tweak a Saul Alinsky-ism line of thinking, "all change means disorganization of the old and organization of the new" and come up with something more forward thinking, shall we:

From now on, "all change means disorganization of the new and a much needed re-organization of the old" -- as in making way for a twenty-first century reformation kind of thing.  Are you with me?

And yet, before I go, I can't seem to resist the urge -- an ever so slight and short term gain is flashing before my eyes right now -- I mean, with a name like Hickenlooper, its hard not to wonder just who is the super dooper hick here...oh G, that isn't being very nice.  No, it isn't -- but neither is lumping all people of mid-western culture into a brand new demographic, simply called, "backwards thinking."  Doinky der dee doo that is just wrong and you're a dork, Hickenstupider.  feeling better already.

Dear America,

happy monday

The weekend is a blur, as I was completely entrenched into a softball tournament -- which was nearly entirely under drizzle; not enough to call it off, but just enough to make those of us sitting on the sidelines a bit damp, cold and chomping at the bit for a hot toddy and a fireplace back in the comfort of home.

Of course, sitting there day dreaming between games, my mind went whirling into a two column expose of the differences between the Nanny State vs. Mother Nation, and that was all it took -- still in the midst of unseasonably moist weather conditions -- to provide this morning's inspiration.

So consider the boundaries like this:

The Nanny State, left.
Mother Nation, right.

Simple enough.

Nanny, Liberal.
Mother, Conservative.

See how it flows so easily.

The thing is, in this age of big, bad government, what we are seeing under the current Obama Administration, is a deterioration of our inherent civil liberties and a pure nullification of our founding principles, as they continue to inch their way into our lives in unimaginable ways; the constant indirect, and sometimes blatant, display of "we know better than you", as if the government really can cure all societal ills, along with it's huge price tag, is unprecedented.  While to question their authority to do so, or wonder if any of it is even Constitutional, is considered unamerican, racist, bigoted even, and simply cast as out of control right wing extremism in action.

America has changed over the course of the last forty or fifty years, indeed; but the greatest difference is our growing indifference to how we define and grow beautiful families, ones that when lined up all together, hand in hand across the country, personify a loving, strong, healthy and vibrant nation.

You can believe what you want, but in these days following the recent death of Barbara Billingsley, one of America's first moms portrayed on TV for all the world to see and model after, we haven't entirely done the family thing very well -- over the last couple of decades especially; sure, we have more women advancing in careers, more women bringing home the bacon and frying it up in the pan, more women still shouldering the household duties while holding down a 9 to 5 job, more women reaching their personal dreams of having it all -- but at what price?

No, now before you all jump on my little butt -- yes, I wholeheartedly believe it is possible to have it all as women, if that equates to having a little bit of everything; there is no question in my mind about that; while, there are many women who make it look easy; yet, even still, there are many more who fail miserably at it everyday.

But when we look at our children, and the next generation or two in the pipeline -- coupled with an honest observation of the very issues we used to excel at pretty much across the board, as in education, morality, self-reliance and the individual pursuit of happiness -- we are breaking down somewhere; and I believe that somewhere is not over the rainbow but right here, right at home.

The thing is, if we are really brave enough, and open enough, to have a real conversation about this -- and look deeper into this relationship of the family unit, and the country's future prospects to create happiness and liberty and freedom for all, then we must face some heart wrenching truths about how we are doing at this; and the place to start is at the heart of the home, mom.

For California, nannies are common place -- and that should tell you something, as we are failing everywhere you look; a huge segment of our population just waltzes along with their heads in a salon, complete with cucumbers over the eyes, and all.  Of course, overtly generalizing here, but let's face it, many mommies in California are simply no longer hands on  -- they are above it, have no time for it, are completely frustrated by it, or economically challenged to have that privilege -- and it shows. 

It may sound like I am beating up on my own people -- and maybe I am -- but can we get real? Can we not talk about the reality housewives era we are living in, or vicariously living through, and realize the waywardness of our own ways -- or is that no longer politically correct?  And sure, why stop there -- it's not just a so cal thing, a hollywood thing, or an elite Senator from Northern California thing -- this is a national epidemic. 

While I can almost applaud the Angelina Jolies's of this world, the truth is, the importance of motherhood is being all but ignored these days -- while we continue to sit idly by elevating the federal government to evermore control over our lives like in a warped 'who's your daddy' kind of way; it's a strange marriage of ideologies, to say the least. 

It's not just about the restrictions of salt and sugar and soda, that this nanny state merrily tramples all over; it's not just about happy meals being villainized, and the maker of such as simply corporate greed at the expense of our kids; it's not just about over zealous regulation in everything from what we eat to what we drive, to how we fuel it, to where we bank, how we spend, to what we buy and why --  it's deeper than that --

We've changed how we do mom --
  • it is the nanny being home after school -- and probably, in broken English, making sure they do their homework (hardly the perfect candidate to offer help with writing the review of The Odyssey).
  • it is the nanny preparing the home-cooked meals -- or family dinner broken up with band practice, soccer games, working through dinner, business travel and take out.
  • it is the nanny spending the quantity time with the children, with returning parents feeling guilty -- making up for it with presents, cell phones, and cars -- with no real parental supervision or care until basically bedtime.
If you add the element of a little money for life in the left lane, we extend the nanny state mentality to include private school and quite possibly, boarding school -- other people raising the kids, spoiled little rich kids raising other spoiled little rich kids, and simply parents being out of touch and out of sight, out of mind ; the anti-thesis of the mother who is there by the time the kids return home from school -- or the mom who is hands on and home schooling the kids all day long.

If you add the element of religion, the prevailing attitude is one of dismissing the importance of worship altogether; or it takes on a whole new meaning under the mindset of  a new age hierarchy of  a "collective salvation" -- almost acting as if God told them this is the way it works, basically ignoring the principles upon which America was made, while having the audacity to redefine the entire premise of  Christianity at the same time; under the mommy state, we simply go to church, and if we can't do that, we teach the golden rule and try our best to live by the same, and lead by example.

If you add the element of common sense and self-reliance, under the nanny state, "the little people" have none -- the government can better manage your money, your diet, your business, and seemingly every one's needs under the sun through the relentless and reckless actions of breaking one glass ceiling after another by ruthless taxation; quite the contrary, the mommy state believes in individual responsibility, individual liberty, and that less government intervention the better -- thereby allowing for real growth in the private sector and creating the opportunity for real wealth for all, just the way our founders intended.

There is a possibility we could reduce the state of mommy dearest we are currently living in by simply realizing that many of our maternal issues stem from being deficient in a single attribute, that being able to utter the word "NO!" -- as if a whole chorus of mamas and papas heard round the world piped up all at the same time.  But then again, maybe that's just too simple minded of me; what do I know, right? 

But then I realized something, as a gazed over the umbrellas yesterday, there is not one family on the team with a nanny; every mom or pop on the bleachers is hands on, whether it is a Sunday afternoon, a Monday morning, or smack dab in the middle of the week.  Now, even though I carry a special fondness for the beauty of 'less organized' activities -- thinking of days dating back to The Sandlot era and Leave It to Beaver -- I must say I get a special chill up and down my leg knowing I share my experience raising a family with at least 14 other families close to me; it is a feeling I can build on, at least, and feel good about.

Our modern world makes a whole new June these days -- and that's okay as long we remember how we make good kids; they don't just happen, you know.  A nanny can never take the place of what our children truly need; they require undivided attention, hands on care, and unconditional love, from an actual parent, whether we want to admit it, or not; our nation was built, generation after generation, making a point to make it a priority -- that is until we took the shaping of our kids, and our families, and ourselves, for granted, leaving the duty in someone else's care.

Long has it been understood that the hardest job in America -- and the most thankless one to boot -- is that of being a mother; and I have to say, indeed.  Having a little money can make it easier; throwing more money at it might turn things around for awhile; but buying the kid a car when they really don't deserve it, hardly ever works -- and only real moms and pops know that, through and through.

Our country is having a mother of a time finding itself again; perhaps, breaking it down in ways we can easily understand is where we need to begin -- starting with some of the first words we learn, "mama"... "dada" ...and "no"

there was no study taken, publishing a decade of research...
I am, as you know, just a girl -- what do I know, right...

but please, feel free to question -- feel free to come up with your own argument of the nanny state vs mother nation; go for it.  But like a pop fly meeting up with the inside of the glove like it was second nature, we are bearing witness to a pop culture uniting with the nanny state without thinking twice about it.

It may feel like a rush in the moment, but experience tells us it will fade into the reality of having to be ready for the next play, being prepared for whatever life dishes out, a future that anything could happen, at any time -- which unexpectedly, then, hits us in the face with the very prospect that the kids today may want to have kids of their own someday... an idea which very well might, for a few of us anyway, sound utterly frightening, considering the way they are being raised...and if we think Social Security is in trouble now...just you wait.  

Isn't progress just wonderful.

And on that note, all I want is my mommy wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I was born at 8:07 in the morning, on a Sunday.  Anytime I see an 8:07 on the clock it is like a big fat reminder of the moment I entered this world.  A mind blowing exercise in one's purpose in life may very well be found through the simple task of hindsight...crowning with the question, just what would it look like if I was never born?

Between the family you entered and the lives you touched and the children you made yourself and the people they've touched, it can be a daunting game of what if.

I grew up recognizing and relating to things knowing that there is a purpose under heaven for everything; there is a reason and a master plan for it all.  Not in the sense we lose our free will, or that we have an all powerful Oz above us accounting for our every move -- but a master plan that allows for all of us to be at choice with respect to everything we do.

And the longer I live, the more I believe good outweighs evil; even if it looks dark, dismal or without repair, the goodness welled up inside each and every one of us is enough and in abundant supply, even if dormant, it grows to sustain us until such time the light can shine through once again.  

As humans we are built for the good times and bad; we are strong enough to weather the harm done by others or done through our own ignorance and poor choices; while we are inherently joyful and loving and kind for all the hours and days in between.

If it were a more perfect world how unimaginably boring it would be.

As people, we are born into a master plan at a time and for reasons unknown; and as thinking creatures born of good conscience right from the start, we are bestowed a gift that sets us a part from the animals, and with that, carry great responsibility to each other to be of good nature as well.

I find it amusing with the left of when they decide what circumstances to respect life are valid and when they are not. 

Take for example dolphins.  We can value the life of dolphins over the life of a tuna, as I would expect because we eat those.  Green Peace has operations all over the world to police the seas and ensure the sanctity of life of dolphins, whales or any other species worthy of protection.  The bottle-nose dolphin, by the way, is not an endangered species; but it is good to know which tuna is "dolphin safe" and labeled such on the side of the can.  I like that touch.

Over this past summer, it was liberals who insisted on protecting the lowly smelt and the feeding of salmon over the farmlands of northern California, withholding irrigation to the fields and directly harming food supply for not only California but for the world -- let alone recklessly damaging the number of jobs available to farm workers -- the irony.

Come to think of it, it is usually a liberal who will speak on behave of the human rights of a murderer and child rapists in forbidding the use of the death penalty, causing Americans to carry any and all liability to incarcerate the worst criminals of our kind for decades, to the point where our prisons are insolvent and overwhelmed with issues.

But the life of a child.  Fugetaboutit.

It comes down to the woman's right to choose, that's it, no more discussion, end of story, the debate is over.

Where is the man's right to choose?  Doesn't he naturally carry 50% of the partnership; wouldn't the action of a woman who chooses to abort a child in which the man wanted be considered an act of contempt in the court of law?

And, taking it a step further, you liberals expect people who do not agree with the outcome of your free choice to pay for it under federal funding?  

How about this, Congress, we keep the provision that allows women to abort as long as the federal funds come out of a slush fund managed by the liberal feminists, how's that?

Yeah Yeah that's the ticket...the feminists, the one's who are college educated and have careers holding director positions at NARAL, the intellectuals making bank as ivy league professors, the lefty's who landed a cushy job within the current administration, the civil rights attorney's and shake your money-maker investment bankers, and any and all of whom profess this ranking ideology for a women's right to choose -- they can pay for it and then shut up. 

I'm sure they can handle the costs, as remember, only 3% of the total planned parenthood budget goes to abortions; remembering also, the majority who choose the gift of choice are women over the age of twenty five.  These are their people --  how could they not support their own?

Then the rest of us can go about redirecting our attention to making smarter choices and teaching our young girls not to grow up to be stupid. (1.2 million abortions vs. 15.3 million new STD cases each year...you do the math).

I was forwarded an article from my father on the language used by the left which I believe relates to this discussion;  it is an article entitled, The Passivist Left, written by Dr. Joel Wade.

"This passive voice allows them to disassociate themselves from the human willfulness of the people who made these attacks happen...it allows them to step back , and view purposeful actions from a more abstract and theoretical position.  By putting purposeful human actions into the passive voice, people on the left avoid having to face the reality -- and the horror -- of human evil."

Dr. Wade was speaking in reference to the Fort Hood massacre -- out of which the left described as a "tragic event" or "the act was incomprehensible" -- instead of the willful, premeditated action by Major Nidal Malik Hasan with hate in his heart and evil in his soul with the sole purpose to not harm, but actually KILL as many people as he could.

But there the left continually sits, the action nor the human is ever under fire, as there must be a reason that allows for such horrifying "events" to occur.  The left removes us from the blood and guts of a situation and hasten to make up excuses, as there must be some other reason, some account for this tragedy to occur other than the responsibility and action of one human being choosing to kill another.  How can they be at choice, how can they be of free will and spirit to enlist such ill will upon others simply out of just wanting them dead and choosing to pull the trigger and do it?  That conscious decision does not fit into the mold of human behavior, and never will according to a liberal.

So it is merely a matter of choice.   Is it now?
As women in the 21st century painfully bring to light, we've evolved so far as to be able to extinguish a real life in our womb without any more pressure than what we choose to have for dinner -- tuna casserole or free range chicken?  We aren't killing a baby, we are simply advocating our right to choose.

How passive and whimpy is that? 

Wake up women of choice, you are choosing to KILL a BABY.

If you are going to do it, be a big girl and tell it like it is.

Interesting enough with the technology available today, women can see their baby even earlier.
More interesting, with that reality staring at them in the face, many women now change their mind.

Dear America,

Good Morning, America, and Happy Tuesday.



That outburst from Joe Wilson is sending people into quite a pantie wad, once again proving the political pundit wedgie fest lives and reigns in journalism. Sure, blurting out "you lie" in front of all the world to hear while sitting smack dab in enemy territory probably wasn't the wisest of moves, nor was it polite. But what a moment for America, yes?

The truth is, he was speaking for the rest of us, targeting the obvious in that our dear President was speaking out of his all holy one horse's ass and he called him on it. You get to the point where enough is enough.

I'm so sick and tired of the double standard, why is it only appropriate for The Left to do shout outs, The Left to call people names, The Left to throw sticks and stones. Why? And why do I all of a sudden wanna do it too?

Not that it's entirely a bad thing, but the conservative or Republican is always held to a higher standard. While it may be that there are times to just grin and bare it, it would also seem that somethings gotta give in making a civil paradigm shift when it comes to allowing "the other side" to roll over us time and time again on this one.

It didn't take very long after the patriotism unleashed from the unconscionable acts of 911 to become something of a distant memory for some. How many years did we hear Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction from the left? Even though the Democratic Congress voted in agreement with the President, the left left Bush hanging high and dry when it was for their own political benefit. They never looked back; and they berated his actions calling him every name under the sun to boot...from the general blanket retort of war monger to flubya to Monkey-in-a-Mansuit to Totalitarian Texan.

Or how about more recently when Pelosi is calling the angry town hall mobs, Nazi's, with their swastikas and all. Really, Nancy, is that what you are going to throw at us?

And with all due respect, what about talking back to the President?

Obamanable called the right wing, fox news extremists liars as part of his propagation of truth in reaching health care reform through the destruction of character in the opposition. In fact, the ObamaMao, more than once, called ALL of us who do not agree with him, advocates of our own sort of wally world of lies so to speak. All WE are doing is just stirring the pot of untruths and putting the fear of God, scaring people and all. That's what He said. And further throwing salt on the wound, going on to claim that we, the other side, have brought nothing to the table. Wrong again, that's a lie, too, but I'm slipping further and further away from the point.

Taking a look back it would appear that we have just let The Left say whatever they want to say; only to discover that when the shoe is on the other foot we get hung and castrated. The reality is these days we should all be more careful. Any right hook or below the belt opinion gets shot out of a cannon; any foul mouth action, and subsequent reaction, travels the globe at the speed of google. We all get sucked in to what was said, who said it and the OMG of it all. From sea to shining sea it doesn't take much.

I'm going to spin off the message for a minute. I had this horrific scare yesterday when going to pick up my daughter after school (speaking of wedgies); she wasn't anywhere to be found. In an instant my world upended, kinda like Joe's.

She wasn't where she was supposed to be and I allowed for twenty extra agonizing minutes just sitting in my car thinking she would just turn the corner of the library at any moment. Oh, I would go in and out of saying to myself, geesus, where the 'freak' are you in my head, and then I would sit back again picking up the tunes and doing a little head bop. Finally, I'm thinking this is so not right.

I decide then to go through the trouble of parking the car and making my way towards the Principle's office, taking the most indirect route I could find thinking I will run into her at any second. Nope.

Of course, how do I handle myself once in front of a smiling face in the office? I cry.

Funny stuff looking back. I'm like hyperventilating, in and out of trying to speak, and nothing could come out.

Was there a logical reason as to why my girl wasn't plopped down in the right spot waiting for me? Yes. Could I see it in that moment? No.

Everything was just instantly upside down to me and out of context. Nothing was right about it, as my girl is always where she's supposed to be, never goes anywhere without permission, and can barely walk into a donut shop without me, let alone not be found waiting for me on pins and needles herself. She is just that kind of kid.

As good as it feels today sitting here blogging like nothing ever happened this morning, we of course found her after an incredibly long 45 minutes in all. It was a situation where the two of us were thinking we were hearing what we were thinking but not what we were speaking that in turn got our wires crossed, or something like that...

In the end...a lot of drama for nothing (thank you, God).

So back to Wilson.

A lot of drama for nothing; but in review of the something, Joe's world went plum upside down in a nano-second. It was a Mr. Smith Goes to Washington moment; and it would appear that America has a pulse afterall, and the beat can be heard round the world, again.

Even though he clearly couldn't take it back once he said it -- no do overs -- he said something we were all thinking and the other side naturally wants to vilify his outrageous remarks as if calling people out is something they never do. Are you kidding me?

The Left annoys me to no end.

Oh and I would be happy to talk about these feelings with anyone in a calm, polite and courteous manner at any time. (I might cry, however, if you decide to be a meanie pants. It's what I do.)

But tomorrow, we can all look forward to a deeper review of name calling; unless of course, I'm caught up in any more melodrama of mine own, or if the world as we know it makes any sudden outbursts or catastrophic moves.
