It's a Miso Soup Thing

Dear America,

I am the master of my fate.
I am the captain of my soul.

just yesterday, in G dayz, we were speaking about Katy Perry's lament of the misogynist-in-chief (as if he was the first ever, right?).  Hello?  Can we talk Kennedy?  Hmmmmm and suddenly, the term 'leading from behind' takes a turn around the dance floor with an entirely new perspective.  Or how about Billy bob-devil-in-a-blue-dress-and-a-cigar Clinton?  Of course, both Bushies are major suspects, too, as a family history repeats itself.  We could probably find dirt on every single president to date....and maybe even their wives, too.  According to one biography, rumor has it Grace Coolidge fooled around with a couple of the secret service boys...oh my.

Oh happy friday. This girl is so happy, so happy, it's friday.

Having just left a guy only a month ago [see blog on finding my little light, here] , this isn't particularly the best time for a discussion on boys.  Tee hee.  But Oh! do I love boys and hate boys and love them again...indeed.

Just for foreplay, when it comes to hanky-panky and playing around, the honest truth is that there is usually a girl who participates with the boy; which in fair turn -- given equality for all and all for one -- makes the girl just as culpable and equally corrupt as boy.  THIS is NOT the same thing as a girl receiving unwanted advances or being on the receiving end of some kind of sexual assault, or being battered with sexually explicit words all the live long day with words that degrade her, disrespect her, or otherwise make her feel dirty, or an object, in an unprotected workplace, and one that clearly has created an environment unfit for the times.

But the thing is, to keep playing with this word, MISOGYNY -- this label, really -- and allow just a whip of the tongue to instantly assail a powerful guy......... perhaps we need to be more consistent.  Just sayin'.

Besides, much of the time, it's really a misuse of the word.  For by definition, any time we place a MISO-- in the front of the word, it stands for hatred; and as such, misogamy is a hatred of marriage; misology is a hatred of reason, argument, or enlightenment; misoneism is a hatred of change or innovation; and finally, misogyny is a HATRED of women.  [And thank you to my American Heritage Dictionary]

This girl has said this before:  but does anyone really think The Donald hates women?  Is it about hatred when he wants to get in a girl's pants?   Anyone?  Are all womanizers misogynists?  Please, someone, tell me.

And so then, answering the question of what do we know and when did we know it, on the fly -- if Katy Perry thinks Trump is the quintessential misogynist-in-chief, then that would make her, quite possibly, a California GURL/Pop Star impersonating a miso-neist by way of miso-logy.  ....take that and dial it back.

Now perhaps the misogyny label can be placed quite appropriately upon the Princes and Kings of Saudi Arabia....but if we go there, we might as well call every Muslim man, following Sharia Law,  a misogynist, right?  And if we go there, considering some horrific news of late, we might as well add any doctor who commits female genitalia mutilation surgery upon girls...yes, and even within the boundaries of these great United States of America.  Does Katy got a voice on that?

Words matter.  Name calling matters.

It is a complete misnomer to call President Donald Trump a misogynist; not only that, it's misjudging the situation, misleading the truth, and misinterpreting his behavior.

Ah in this era of mine, when it's seems most natural to mutter the words, oh who needs a man -- suddenly, the consideration of adding et. al.  comes to mind.  Oh my fellow man, my fellow man, how you make this girl crazy sometimes.   But of course, this is what the G Thing is all about, duh --- keeping a silly diary from one American girl to the next, and in particular, keeping tabs on politics and pop culture and populists and miso-populists alike or not alike at all.

It's all about double standards and double speak with The Left, isn't it?

Oh sure -- The Left is totally into free speech, are most tolerable and love everyone -- IF you march lock, stock, and barrel, with placards and chanting and bandannas across your face, along with the kind of anarchy they preach.  yeah, yeah, that's all fine and good. and yet....if you color outside the lines....

The whole truth is, they are Miso-Milo and Miso-Coulter simply based upon the side of politics they stand; now talk about misology!  What is The Left so afraid of?  Why is The Left so close-minded and intolerant?  Why is The Left misbehaving so -- and where will the censorship stop --- when the leftists make fascist their last name and mutilate from the roots any last shred of evidence that conservatives ever existed, let alone deserve any respect, let alone happiness?   The Left is so good at rewriting science, history, and basically having its way with anyone who doesn't think like them.

And actually, if we go there, we might as well label the entire Left as misogynists against ALL conservative women -- girls like me!   For it has become quite clear -- the Left hates, disregards, hellbent to emasculate the natural power, the organically grown feminism of it's own kind, of the conservative girl.

No matter.  For the things we conservative gurls  carry in the midst of this cultural war upon those of us walking the road less traveled -- with the mass, mainstream media fully ignoring our every voice --  is an awfully seductive dance of courage, of disobedience,  of grace, uncommon.  Oh libertad, Oh Libertad, Invictus is mine.

a poem by William Earnest Henley....from 1888:

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
      For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Oh my, I must have said 'girl'  a million times today -- definitely more than usual;  i got carried away.  But as truth be told, and retold, and rewritten and retold, let it be understood, I am no longer just a girl on any given day -- I am more like G-hahd Jane; I'm in a fight for America -- for my life and yours (even the anarchists and lefty's) -- every single GI joe day no matter what comes out of everybody's mouth.

I really wanted to talk about something going on with the misogynists at the United Nations, but it will just have to wait for another day.  For a down and dirty preview, by all means take a peek through this window to world power, HERE.  [Nikki better be on this by now.]

Make it a Good Day, G
