It's What Happens Under a Forced Marriage Thing

Dear America,

"We want to congratulate the Israeli people for the democratic process for the election that they just engaged in with all the parties that engaged in that election. As you know now, the hard work of coalition building begins. Sometimes that takes a couple of weeks. And we're going to give space to the formation of that coalition government and we're not going to weigh in one way or another except to say that the United States and Israel have a historic and close relationship and that will continue going forward," 

so lamented the White House aide, David Simas, courtesy of CNN through The Weekly Standard.

"we're not going to weigh in one way or another..." he said.

One thing's for sure -- we're definitely not going to congratulate one of our closest allies, Bibi Netanyahu, for his resounding re-election.

The second thing is highly suspect...

The American based One Voice Movement, now under fire for spending taxpayer funds for playing political gamesmanship in Israel, intent upon undermining Bibi's Likud group, is linked to the Obama administration; One Voice Movement -- as a recipient of almost $350,000 in recent grants from the Obama administration’s State Department – had violated its tax-exempt status when it began backing the virulently anti-Netanyahu Victory 15 campaign in Israel earlier that month.

Having worked under the radar since 2013, questions are finally beginning to surface from inside Washington.  Senator Ted Cruz --  alongside Rep. Lee Zeldin -- penned a letter (January 29) to the State Department inquiring about the legality of the 501(c)3's political activity, was recently interviewed @ FoxNews.com and made this stunning observation (or is it a question?):

What does it say about the President of the United States when he’s more concerned about undermining and attacking the prime minister of Israel than he is standing up to the mortal threat a nuclear Iran poses?


exactly.

This president was against Israel before he was for it -- it was a forced marriage; but with the actions of the One Voice Movement, he almost had this ball and chain gone for good.  Happy endings here we come again...

BUT ...What does it say?

What it says is that our current administration plays lip-service with our "close" diplomatic relations with Israel.  

Our "close relationship" -- David Simas --  couldn't be any further apart.

Our "close relationship" began to show strain from the moment this president  ordered Israel to accept Palestinian demands in a peace deal as he pledged American support for human rights in the Middle East...

Putting it mildly, our "close relationship" has been nothing short of  uncomfortable -- from leaving Bibi all alone at the dinner table (circa 2010)  ...to the downright snubbing the Prime Minister's visit to Congress just two weeks ago -- when pleading on behalf of the safety of Israel just as the United States  is in the midst of encouraging a more closer, kinder, diplomatic relationship with terrorists -- The Islamic Republic of Iran.   What?

.....as we collectively ask ourselves "what does it say?"  makes a sudden comeback.

The Obama Administration has been undermining and straining this relationship from day one to day 2251...(that's just ball-parking btw).

It's as if the "close relationship" is merely staying together on behalf of the kids, and we all know how awkward that can be for the obligatory reunions, holidays, and birthdays -- let alone the every day ...from family dinner to dealing with conflicting ideas of child rearing.

Needless to say, it's going to get uglier.  No use even hiding the animosity anymore, right New York Times?

So here we are -- having done a fairly bang up job self-destructing what was once formidable and sound..... built upon common ideals and dreams for the future in front of the entire world -- ground zero requires diplomatic relations to begin again, only same as it ever was.

[The reality is, Obama and Bibi never had a chance....that being the one-sided, ideological and callused opinion of One Barack Hussein Obama.]

I'm pretty sure having another baby is out of the question.

It's a Coup Thing

Dear America,

"This is not an endorsement of the government... 

This is an acknowledgment that there is

that even a year and a half,

Words of an American president.
No. The president isn't speaking of the United States -- but he may as well be, given his deep rooted disdain that pops up every once in awhile; not to overlook, a re-election campaign affirming a fundamental revolution from the inside out; not to dismiss the daring comments of a first lady still ringing in my ear from the first round, "we're going to have to change our traditions, our history..."....in  America.

No. He's was in Bangkok, on the eve before what is being touted as an "historical," presidential, extension of democratic support for what is just the beginning of a long and arduous process; it's just an American president visiting Myanmar.

 An American President?  Think that's highly suspect and fully debatable, at this point.  He might as well start saying 'we have more work to do' in multiple languages; he's fresh off the campaign trail and back to being the leader of the Free (and not so free) World.

Sure, let's elaborate:

There's the issue of Israel -- the one and only real ally in the Middle East we have --  under fire.... and he leaves Washington?

There's the on-going, unrelenting issues of Benghazi -- the lie that keeps on giving, that is now fully operating under it's own power with a life force of it's very own, and imploding as we speak....and he leaves Washington?

There's the issue of a Fiscal Cliff -- unquestionably a time for real leadership to appear out of nowhere, to command a change of tone in Washington, if nothing else; and, if we are lucky, get something accomplished in a bi-partisan fashion.... and he leaves Washington?

There's even plenty of controversy and  conspiracy looming...like the one about the Blind Sheik here, here, and here....but he wants none of it -- he leaves Washington.


Of course, the American president can leave Washington...finding plenty of time in his schedule to give praise to the "democracy rising" in Myanmar...because the process of transformation in America is now comfortably anchored into his second term.

His administration is emboldened to do more of this.

Changing history with an agenda more like this.

And on a week we celebrate Columbus running into 'Plymouth Rock' and discovering the new world, beginning the very process of colonizing America and the days leading up to the first Thanksgiving...
Really now, I'm not all that quick to link to conspiracy theories -- but gotta hand it to him, he sure couldn't have planned this little co-inky-dink any better.  While some say, it's too much too soon.

But really now -- how is it that Burma turned Myanmar "gives us hope," Mr. President?   Seems a strange thing to say...did you really mean to leave the impression that America is more lost than a place like Myanmar?

And then there was this moment, written into the speech at the University of Yangon, which began going something like this: "no process of reform will succeed without national reconciliation" and ending...totally interfering between the Buddhist Arakanese and the Muslim Rohingya with something like this:  "[Rohingya] hold within themselves the same dignity as you do, and I do.   National reconciliation will take time, but for the sake of common humanity, and for the sake of this country's future, it's necessary to stop incitement and stop violence."  [country is nearly 90% Buddhist, with the Muslim population less than 5%]

But as the article points out, the "few Muslims in the crowd were delighted."  Note to self: this president never misses a moment to support Islam....simply fascinating.

And so what, the American president has nothing to say about Iran supplying missiles to Hamas to shoot at Israel -- other than something to the effect of, 'oh Israel is perfectly capable of defending herself'?  really? 

He put Egypt in charge of the peace talks?  

You have team Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt, talking to Islamic Extremists of Hamas, who are quietly doing the dirty-work of the Palestinians of Gaza, all ganging up against Israel, and the president is totally okay with this?  are you for real, playa?

Back to radical Islamic extremists:

Let's take a look at the how things turned out in Bosnia, shall we?

Is this what democracy looks like... in Egypt?  is it?  is it?

As we allow organizations like CAIR to actually operate in the United States...freely...still?   

President Obama may feel he is on the right side of history when he arrives in Myanmar, Burma, tomayto, tomahto, for his six hour visit in a place where democracy is up for grabs.  But make no mistake, when it comes to his duties as the American President, he is failing America across the board.

Of  course, there are some who might say it's on purpose; it's simply part of the process, under way the last year and a half, to two years, or is it four going on eight...in order to fundamentally and diabolically take America down a notch, or two; it's just a process to right a wrong in the history of the world according to the Chosen One.

The good news:   He can leave Washington, but he cannot hide.

The bad news:  He is going to come back.

The thing is -- we are living a lie in America right now.  It will take the work of every pilgrim, pioneer, patriot from this day forward to correct it.

The question keeping me awake and into "the process" these days -- is the president part of the solution, or is he part of the problem?  [that's totally rhetorical, of course]

the deluge of links in this post got a wee bit out of control...somehow or other, the conditions today left little old g thing vulnerable to a coup-de-link-d'etat.  But you might be happy to know, this day has to run for two...given my schedule this week...so take your time plugging through it, if you will.  Crazy things are happening right under our noses and it stinks to high heaven.

if you know me, I like to carry a theme for a day or two... maybe even a week.


yesterday, I ending with a quote without telling you where it came from ---

It came in the last words of a Criminal Minds episode -- without failure, the flourishing finish always includes some sort of infinite wisdom to help tie things together in the great scheme of life.  It comes along, free for the taking, with the scene of the entire team heading home and gliding into the sunset upon the government owned, state of the art, Gulfstream (or something like that, hard to tell from a distance); the quote was from an Englishman, Albert Pine, dating back to the mid-eighteen hundreds.

Now for me, I tend to get the willies easily; having said that, Criminal Minds doesn't exactly click with what I usually like to watch -- especially by myself (G gets 'scwerd'...pucker up and say it with your inner shirley temple).  But there is just something about the development of the "unsubs" ....the constant evaluation of bad character ...the ratcheting up of the known against the unknown that never fails to intrigue me.  (I know, I know, it is just tv)

And given how my mind operates, the piecing together of the ways of the world, intersecting with the made for TV drama, and the development of basically the Unsub in the office of the presidency, no less, my head is left spinning with the uncharacteristic latitudes of this administration, now jet fueled by a simple question:  just what kind of flourishing finish is coming to America?

Oh G, stop being so dramatic...
and to that I say really?

You know who deserves the daytime Emmy is the president.

Now I can't help but notice most of the characters taking the Unsub role [the 'unknown subject of investigation'] begin with some kind of narcissistic tendencies.  Which leads me to leading you to another leading man, Dr. Michael Youssef.  Read about what he had to say about the latest developments of the peace process for our friend, and ally, Israel,  right here  Here's a highlight:

"...All of this is, of course, part and parcel of the major characteristics of narcissism, namely detesting those who do not admire or agree with you.

But perhaps there is no greater danger than the expression of that narcissism when it impacts foreign policy.  This is indeed tragic, that one person's (even though he is the President of the United States) own selfish tendencies can impact world peace.

Possibly there is no larger issue than his deep desire and determination to ingratiate himself with, and to be liked and adored by, the Muslim world...."

However, when you place the current rhetorical response of our president -- outlined in the speech from May 19th which we have already thoroughly reviewed, see my blog [gooooo G! yeah me!  practicing my own narcissistic tendencies just to make my day]  -- right up smack against his own words on the campaign trail, what emerges from the shadows is an Unsub President, who is only as legitimate, and as sincere, and as loyal, as his last speech...or rather, his last audience.

and let me just interject right here, we're onto you.

From NPR, the transcript to Obama's campaign speech, addressing AIPAC just three years ago, tells a different story; it shows a presidential contender pandering to the Jewish vote, feeding a hungry crowd of naysayers everything a potential president must say to win them over, playing to their weaknesses, toying with their allegiances and fidelity, and breaking bread with a nation of people who did not trust him.

Here it is...by audio or transcript.  

Don't have time to listen to the whole thing, then allow me to hum a few bars:

"Before I begin, I want to say that I know some provocative e-mails have been circulating throughout Jewish communities across the country. A few of you may have gotten them. They're filled with tall tales and dire warnings about a certain candidate for president. And all I want to say is — let me know if you see this guy named Barack Obama, because he sounds pretty frightening.

But if anyone has been confused by these e-mails, I want you to know that today I'll be speaking from my heart, and as a true friend of Israel. And I know that when I visit with AIPAC, I am among friends. Good friends. Friends who share my strong commitment to make sure that the bond between the United States and Israel is unbreakable today, tomorrow and forever."

Yes.  And this was a "before I begin" moment -- he was just getting warmed up...

"I first became familiar with the story of Israel when I was 11 years old. I learned of the long journey and steady determination of the Jewish people to preserve their identity through faith, family and culture. Year after year, century after century, Jews carried on their traditions, and their dream of a homeland, in the face of impossible odds.

The story made a powerful impression on me. I had grown up without a sense of roots. My father was black; he was from Kenya, and he left us when I was 2. My mother was white; she was from Kansas, and I'd moved with her to Indonesia and then back to Hawaii. In many ways, I didn't know where I came from. So I was drawn to the belief that you could sustain a spiritual, emotional and cultural identity. And I deeply understood the Zionist idea — that there is always a homeland at the center of our story"

Getting back to a little Criminal Minds, the Unsubs frequently came from some variation of an untethered underworld, shall we say:  the familiar story of the broken home, emotional abuses, a childhood lacking in so many ways, perhaps with contrasting/multiple cultures dueling for attention -- definitely a life in part, or in full, irreparably damaged and depleted of the basic human needs.  Things like love and security,  the building blocks of self-esteem and for the healthy growth of young minds, loving souls, capable of producing worthy, self-sufficient, self-reliant, successful individuals who become fully integrated into society.

And then here comes the stunner -- the recollection of a childhood from our president --  in his own words, fraught with deep seated confusion, built upon having no real foundation, saying in fact, "in many ways, I didn't know where I came from."

G note: which must be why it was so easy, later as a young adult, for an impressionable Barack Hussein Obama to grow into relationship with  Reverend Wright -- the Reverend filled a void.  He became a father figure and mentor -- even if that meant re-birthing into a questionable theology and twenty years of brainwashing through the Black Liberation movement (who, by the way, hates jews)...but I digress...

hear ye hear ye...the president is still speaking to the crowd, and they are just eating it up!

"...He invited congressmen and journalists to bear witness. And he ordered that photographs and films be made. Explaining his actions, Eisenhower said that he wanted to produce 'firsthand evidence of these things, if ever, in the future, there develops a tendency to charge these allegations merely to propaganda.'" 

And they did...just one of many gruesome facts the Arab world either deny discredit, or simply rewrite with a blanket of brand new propaganda or pipe bombs.   But this was a really nice touch for the Campaigner in Chief, wasn't it?

"We know that the establishment of Israel was just and necessary, rooted in centuries of struggle and decades of patient work. But 60 years later, we know that we cannot relent, we cannot yield, and as president I will never compromise when it comes to Israel's security.

Not when there are still voices that deny the Holocaust. Not when there are terrorist groups and political leaders committed to Israel's destruction. Not when there are maps across the Middle East that don't even acknowledge Israel's existence, and government-funded textbooks filled with hatred toward Jews. Not when there are rockets raining down on Sderot, and Israeli children have to take a deep breath and summon uncommon courage every time they board a bus or walk to school."

oh really?

"Our alliance is based on shared interests and shared values. Those who threaten Israel threaten us. Israel has always faced these threats on the front lines. And I will bring to the White House an unshakeable commitment to Israel's security.

That starts with ensuring Israel's qualitative military advantage. I will ensure that Israel can defend itself from any threat — from Gaza to Tehran. Defense cooperation between the United States and Israel is a model of success, and must be deepened. As president, I will implement a Memorandum of Understanding that provides $30 billion in assistance to Israel over the next decade — investments to Israel's security that will not be tied to any other nation..."

I couldn't even begin to make this stuff up.  These are his own words...shredded to smithereens under a bombardment of carpet bombs laid out against lasting peace and security for Israel ... When it seems like it was just yesterday when he said, Israel's on it's own and all by itself, whattup...or something like that (again, read G, last thursday for the crib notes).

"The long road to peace requires Palestinian partners committed to making the journey. We must isolate Hamas unless and until they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel's right to exist, and abide by past agreements. There is no room at the negotiating table for terrorist organizations...

I will strongly urge Arab governments to take steps to normalize relations with Israel, and to fulfill their responsibility to pressure extremists and provide real support for President Abbas and Prime Minister Fayyad. Egypt must cut off the smuggling of weapons into Gaza. Israel can also advance the cause of peace by taking appropriate steps — consistent with its security — to ease the freedom of movement for Palestinians, improve economic conditions in the West Bank, and to refrain from building new settlements — as it agreed to with the Bush administration at Annapolis. 

Let me be clear. Israel's security is sacrosanct. It is non-negotiable. The Palestinians need a state that is contiguous and cohesive, and that allows them to prosper — but any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized and defensible borders. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided."

he was pretty clear, wasn't he?  and the agreement he was referring to was made in 2004, in writing, under the Bush Administration -- that's why he not only cited it, but elevated it to a volume his audience could not only hear, but actually wrap themselves up into, much like a warped, false sense of security from a lullaby would do [more like a call from the sirens].

"The United States must be a strong and consistent partner in this process — not to force concessions, but to help committed partners avoid stalemate and the kind of vacuums that are filled by violence. That's what I commit to do as president of the United States."

OMG. enough already.  I can't take it any more.

You lie! You lie!  You lie!  You lie like a magic carpet, turning tricks and making a mockery of the United States; this new version of you, whoever you really are, the unsub in the highest office of the land, is completely vetted and made known right before our very eyes as the Alchemist-in-Chief. [or maybe, following the Brit's lead, it's more like his code name:  "Chalaque" -- as in chief 'smart alec' meets the queen...and we're back to -- it's all about me -- as in, all Obama all the time]

are these things just meaningless rhetoric you throw around only to make people like you, vote for you, think you're swell?

happy thursday.

at the moment my head is spinning and I'm not quite sure -- now, quickly applying something right out of my early years and nearly a decade studying ballet -- just where to turn; posing my first inquiry only to myself -- just what to use as my center, the spot searched out after every turn, to keep myself steady when spinning like a top on my toes?

first, let us just say that everything has changed.  Whatever you think is certain, is uncertain.  Whatever you think is firm foundation has been totally uprooted, catapulted up over the shoulders and now hanging into thin air, relying entirely upon the strength of something unknown.  The integrity of that which holds our fate becoming the ultimate concern and our primary consideration.

A couple of days ago, I copied a quote reprinted in The Patriot Post, and pinned it on the wall in front of me; little did I know then, that it carried the actual potential to evolve into taking center stage.  But I do believe, in this very moment, that is precisely what just happened.  God winks in mysterious ways.

This is it:

Like perfectly timed choreography joining with the exquisite detail of Tchaikovsky, the orchestration of every step is completely essential in the final experience.  Such is the case as the dance between Obama and the Middle East (if not also the U.S.).

In Obama's final words, not to be long forgotten, will be his continuing dismissal of our firm alliance with our Creator -- this, for the umpteenth time, and becoming just apart of the unusual subtext in every formality and capacity he moves.

“We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal.

Those words must guide 

our response to the change 

that is transforming the Middle East and North Africa 

– words which tell us that repression 

will fail, that tyrants will fall, 

and that every man and woman is endowed 

with certain inalienable rights."

Of course, if you did not have the opportunity to watch the president this morning, when he specifically chose a time amenable to an audience of the Middle East, not Americans busy being busy right smack in the middle of the day, allow me to fill you in: built deep into the context and content, rose an elevated and unbelievable demand

In direct contrast of a statement only moments before, reassuring the world that the United States and it's commitment to Israel is "unshakeable,"  -- and almost immediately he renigs; he pirouettes across the international stage establishing  a brand new set of dynamics for negotiation between Palestinians and Israel.

Setting the scene, he portends the overall mood, which in turn becomes the perfect prelude to a kiss off:

"For the Palestinians, efforts to delegitimize Israel will end in failure. Symbolic actions to isolate Israel at the United Nations in September won’t create an independent state. Palestinian leaders will not achieve peace or prosperity if Hamas insists on a path of terror and rejection. And Palestinians will never realize their independence by denying the right of Israel to exist.

As for Israel, our friendship is rooted deeply in a shared history and shared values. Our commitment to Israel’s security is unshakeable. And we will stand against attempts to single it out for criticism in international forums. But precisely because of our friendship, it is important that we tell the truth: the status quo is unsustainable, and Israel too must act boldly to advance a lasting peace.

The fact is, a growing number of Palestinians live west of the Jordan River. Technology will make it harder for Israel to defend itself. A region undergoing profound change will lead to populism in which millions of people – not just a few leaders – must believe peace is possible. The international community is tired of an endless process that never produces an outcome. The dream of a Jewish and democratic state cannot be fulfilled with permanent occupation."

We are "tired of an endless process that never produces an outcome"; so let me tell you how things are going to go down from here on out  --

even though we know, 

"ultimately,

it is up to Israelis and Palestinians 

to take action. 

No peace can be imposed upon them, 

nor can endless delay make the problem go away..."

let me be clear:

"the basis of those negotiations is clear: a viable Palestine, and a secure Israel. The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states. The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves, and reach their potential, in a sovereign and contiguous state."

 and what this also means:

"As for security, 

every state has the right to self-defense, 

and Israel must be able to defend itself

– by itself – 

against any threat."

You, dear Israel, are on your own to defend yourself; America is siding with Palestine on this one.

And still up for negotiation:  Jerusalem and the Palestinian Refugees -- their importance evolving merely into a word, 'details'.

"That is the choice that must be made – not simply in this conflict, but across the entire region – a choice between hate and hope; between the shackles of the past, and the promise of the future. It’s a choice that must be made by leaders and by people, and it’s a choice that will define the future of a region that served as the cradle of civilization and a crucible of strife."

Typical;  so applying such logic to the new Obama Doctrine being laid out for the Middle East, if in turn you cannot agree with these terms -- all lined up in a row and standing completely ready to take a bow looking so pretty --  then maybe you're just a racist.(doink, der it is, capitalizing on G's running theme for the week)    

I mean, think about it.  He laid it all out for us; there are just two choices, okay -- hate or hope.  

Choice 'a' breeds divide; choice 'b' breeds unity -- the choice is yours to make. 

"Borders based on 1967" equates to hope; finding disagreement to those guidelines, big time hate -- clearly then, you are in no uncertain terms, shackled to the past, preoccupied with breeding more hate, and in a word, may very well be a racist.  But let's hope not, right.

Aside from the clear and present (and now oh so permanent) danger for Israel, there were moments when I thought the president introduced brilliant, salient points fit for America -- not just the Middle East.

• But the events of the past six months show us that strategies of repression and diversion won’t work anymore. Satellite television and the Internet provide a window into the wider world – a world of astonishing progress in places like India, Indonesia and Brazil. Cell phones and social networks allow young people to connect and organize like never before. A new generation has emerged. And their voices tell us that change cannot be denied [funny, works for the young and old alike].
• Societies held together by fear and repression may offer the illusion of stability for a time, but they are built upon fault lines that will eventually tear asunder [why America's foundation is based on life, liberty, freedom, self-reliance, independence, equal opportunity not equal outcome...].
•  The only way forward is for the government and opposition to engage in a dialogue, and you can’t have a real dialogue when parts of the peaceful opposition are in jail [or ridiculed/stifled/called names/discredited]. The government must create the conditions for dialogue, and the opposition must participate to forge a just future..

Too bad the message was made to go across an ocean or two; for these are the things this american girl could get awfully excited about.  How perverse is it that the very things mentioned to create a rising, powerful, prosperous democracy in the Middle East are, in nearly every instance, considered almost fighting words right here in America.  Where is the cutting of the red tape here?  Where is the open dialogue with the opposition, most commonly recognized as the Tea Party, here?  Where is the legitimacy for alternative ideology, on the internet and beyond, here?  Where is the free market, really allowed to be free, here?

And just because HE (meaning, not me) has made this a prevailing issue -- by his own actions, associations, and rhetoric-- I am of the belief that a Christian President, the very faith this president believes he is and lives,  would not throw Israel to the lions.

Within this forum, and given America's relationship with Israel is shackled with an incredible history -- built upon the world stage combining long time, formidable, considerable, "unshakeable" resilience and trust with uncommon devotion -- layering the years with a sense of timelessness, interchangeable with every season, aligning with principles and values made incarnate and immaculate, going all the way back to the days of Moses -- the presumptive response would bear an unimaginable truth -- as goes Israel so goes America. 

This is an unbelievable day in the life of an american girl; and doesn't it make tomorrow, filled with a hidden agenda back behind Obama meeting with Netanyahu, all the more interesting.

got to thinking, I wonder how much help the president got from Fareed Zakaria in writing his speech?  it's a fair question, considering things.

Dear America,

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”

that was June 2008, coming into his own while in the final months leading up to the election, the election that would fundamentally transform America.

He was talking, in no uncertain terms, just how deep his drive, how committed to the process he was -- reciting a line out of the Untouchables gave it just the right amount of verve, his point couldn't be made any other way.

I feel quite certain that what is unraveling in Egypt began has a simple, grassroots, run of the mill, peasants in the streets demand for justice.  No one is questioning that.

But who are they really?

Hillary, and half of Washington, seems to think they are just like 'us;' just like you and me -- people who only dream for equality, freedom of assembly,  freedom of speech, and any other democratic "pillar" that comes to mind -- "pillars" of western society she would have us believe -- a democracy just like ours. 


Hate to break it to you, Hill, but you have American arrogance showing, not American compassion.  How Americans define and live within democratic society is not the same thing -- matter of fact, if we can be honest here, it is a far cry from apples to apples, reed to reed, fig to fig.

And really, I can't tell anymore...its all in layers now, with clashes upon clashes; who are the bad guys and who are the good guys, if any; have you seen the pictures... they are all throwing rocks, they are all bringing knives, they are all blowing up things -- who's to say the crowd of thugs, of either side, haven't been penetrated by the real bad guys, the Muslim Brotherhood by now? (following their own handbook of Rule for Radicals, translated into Arabic twenty years ago)

Facts are facts, it went from "peaceful protest" to a fireball overnight.

But here we are, deep within the melee of information overload, and I am finding myself overwhelmed by the sudden impact of a question now penetrating my gut; now completing my week, looking at What We Buy and Why, how do we decide what we buy as bona fide -- based on sound principles, believed to be truth -- and what is not? Is the narrative that pronounced and self-explanatory nobody asks any real questions anymore?  Are we really the sheep just following the herd all the way to the slaughter house? Just because it's on ABC, we don't wonder about XYZ, let alone el-em-en-oh-pee?


Who are they really?  these Egyptians in the streets...what do they like, what do they want, and are they really just like us?

Caroline B. Glick, for the Jewish World Review, gives us a hint (make that, slaps us with a two-by-four):

According to a Pew opinion survey of Egyptians from June 2010, 59 percent said they back Islamists. Only 27% said they back modernizers. Half of Egyptians support Hamas. Thirty percent support Hizbullah and 20% support al Qaida. Moreover, 95% of them would welcome Islamic influence over their politics. When this preference is translated into actual government policy, it is clear that the Islam they support is the al Qaida Salafist version.

Eighty two percent of Egyptians support executing adulterers by stoning, 77% support whipping and cutting the hands off thieves. 84% support executing any Muslim who changes his religion.

What has most confounded Israeli officials and commentators alike has not been the strength of the anti-regime protests, but the American response to them. Outside the far Left, commentators from all major newspapers, radio and television stations have variously characterized the US response to events in Egypt as irrational, irresponsible, catastrophic, stupid, blind, treacherous, and terrifying.

The question most Israelis are asking is why are the Americans behaving so destructively? Why are President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton charting a course that will necessarily lead to the transformation of Egypt into the first Salafist Islamic theocracy? And why are conservative commentators and Republican politicians urging them to be even more outspoken in their support for the rioters in the streets?

Does the US not understand what will happen in the region as a result of its actions? Does the US really fail to understand what will happen to its strategic interests in the Middle East if the Muslim Brotherhood either forms the next regime or is the power behind the throne of the next regime in Cairo? 

so, let us wonder, why is it okay to meddle now, in Egypt, when it wasn't so cool, to meddle, in Iran?


so, why is it cool to force our ways, the western ways, now -- for the freedom of these people, at this time?

but scarier, is realizing that our own president, our secretary of state, and half, if not two-thirds, of Washington are apparently looking through rose colored glasses of democracy seeming to think they are doing nothing wrong  here -- and clearly, totally unaware of who these people are and just what "these youth" really really want.

What is truly crazy town, is watching our government make this grave error, bringing a knife to Mubarak's side while strongly suggesting he step down (now)...while Mubarak just hunkers down with his big guns...saying something to the effect, 'I can't go now, surely there will be chaos...'

And popping in the very same vein -- in the very same way the radicals have been taught never to let a crisis go to waste -- the Muslim Brotherhood begins to simply blend in and find their way; it's all just a means to an end, just a means to an end, whatever happens now, will only push our agenda to the top of the list, paving the way for a new savior to save the people of Egypt -- yes, even Islamic Extremists...

remember, 84% believe in executing Muslims who change their religion...82% love, love, love execution by stoning to adulterers...and funny, only 27% back 'modernizers' (ah, that would be the democratic factions).

We've seen sudden uprisings occur overnight even here -- recalling the buses of union members and Hispanic coalitions being planted on the streets of Arizona immediately following the immigration legislation -- further back we found 'transplants' from unions and left wing agitators showing up at townhall meetings, trying to disguise themselves as Tea Party people and then creating a raucous, bringing actually guns, manipulating the truth, if you will, without batting an eye. These tactics are as old as d'Nile....badump ba.


And we don't think there isn't anything weird going on when Code Pink has set up headquarters in Cairo, under the protection of Hamas???
 yeah, that's a good one.

I'm not buying what the mainstream media is dishing out; I am questioning all authority at this point, and god help the next time I get pulled over for rolling through a stop sign...not that I ever do.... :)

But Hillary seems to think the Egyptians want our kind of democracy.  huh.  interesting.
wonder if she has done any research on that?
you know who she should talk to is Caroline B.Glick -- or at the very least, read what she has to say to those of you  "Clueless in Washington."

It's just weird, for even as I found myself uncharacteristically listening to her every word, when Hillary said:

"We condemn in the strongest terms attacks on reporters covering the ongoing situation in Egypt. This is a violation of international norms that guarantee freedom of the press and is unacceptable under any circumstances. We also condemn in the strongest terms attacks on peaceful demonstrators, human rights activists, foreigners, and diplomats. Freedom of assembly, freedom of expression, and freedom of the press are pillars of an open and inclusive society. It is especially in times of crisis that governments must demonstrate their adherence to these universal values. There is a clear responsibility by the Egyptian Government, including the army, to protect those threatened and to hold accountable those responsible for these attacks. The Egyptian Government must demonstrate its willingness to ensure journalists' ability to report on these events to the people of Egypt and to the world.

"Vice President Suleiman spoke today about the need for free and fair presidential elections. That is essential. And I urge the government and a broad and credible representation of Egypt's opposition, civil society, and political factions to begin immediately serious negotiations on a peaceful and orderly transition. The Egyptian people expect a meaningful process that yields concrete changes."

Yesss, it was just yesterday... late afternoon...the sun was high and the birdies were singing...when I found myself,  my mouth aghast... it was all happening so fast...suddenly, I went crashing to the floor; when she got to the point in bold, large print, made large enough to poke your eye out, all I could do was fall over, making a scramble for my weapon of choice, my remote.

"Universal Values", she says -- huh, I laugh in the face of danger hahaha; Hillary, believe its best for you put your can of pepper spray back in your purse, you have lost control of the entire situation, nothing can help you now, except perhaps a serious graveling to the next dictator.

And final question for the day, just why is our president trying so hard to convince us he is all Christian all the time?  Why now?  And if he truly doesn't care what people think, the people's perceptions, why did he go down that road while speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast?

He didn't have to, he could have talked about all kinds of personal testimony of choice to a crowd there simply to hear him speak, certainly hanging upon his every word -- and yet -- as the people in his inner circle put it,  he was "up all night" making sure he got this one right.  (i.e. it must have been really hard to act like, and talk like, the way that he was expected to -- it would seem, by how difficult it was to find the words, finding the organic nature of his very own beliefs took awhile)

SO WHAT if only 34% totally think he is a Christian -- so what if the other 18% believe he leans Muslim, while the another 43% have not a clue -- so what?   (Just look at the odds against Jesus for a moment)

But you, are president of the United States of America, for Pete's sake.  Are you worried -- is that it?  That when we look back, examining your presidency, evaluating with a fine tooth comb at the things you said and done, that we will look upon this detail, hindsight being what it will be, will be, asking ourselves how could we have just let this happen ...like the innocent bystanders of a crime...wondering where oh where our common sense had gone...oh where oh where can she be...

MOREOVER, SINCE the paradigm claims that the non-Western world's grievances towards the West are legitimate, Obama's Middle East policy is based on the view that the best way to impact the Arab world is by joining its campaign against Israel. This was the central theme of Obama's speech before an audience dominated by Muslim Brotherhood members in Cairo in June 2009.

Like the pro-democracy paradigm, the anti-colonialist paradigm is narcissistic. Whereas Western democracy champions believe that all people are born with the same Western liberal democratic values, post-colonialists believe that non-Westerners are nothing more than victims of the West. They are not responsible for any of their own pathologies because they are not actors. Only Westerners (and Israelis) are actors. Non-Westerners are objects. And like all objects, they cannot be held responsible for anything they do because they are wholly controlled by forces beyond their control.

Anti-colonialists by definition must always support the most anti-Western forces as "authentic." In light of Mubarak's 30-year alliance with the US, it makes sense that Obama's instincts would place the US president on the side of the protesters.

y'see, Hillary, as Secretary of State, I am stunned that you don't know this stuff -- because if you did, I strongly believe you would be acting differently (and the same goes for our president too)  

I mean, the more I look at everything, who's to say the president is just trying to create the very conditions that adversely affect the ability to ship oil through the Suez Canal -- I mean, really, surely we would be faced with a crisis then, and have no other choice, and it wouldn't appear to be Obama's doing whatsoever;  no longer would Cap & Trade, or new EPA regulations, be required -- couple that with his moratoriums and brand new oil and gas regulations and penalties,  we would be forced to change rather quickly, making way for an overnight transformation on what energy we use...and how we live our daily life.

...wouldn't that just speed things up for America...I do believe my head is about to explode...

Suddenly, I have Glenn Beck echoing in my brain:  "Question with BOLDNESS" or is it really Jefferson?  Ah no matter, who really cares, right,  it's just plain good.

So, I am going to get right to 'the thing' today...

anytime we "tweet" foreign relations and policy advise, we look like idiots when it comes from someone so high up on the political food chain, like John McCain; I mean, we might as well have had Megan immediately follow up with, 'yeah, like, now's the time, Mubarak is soooo out of here.'


and don't even get me started on the abbreviations...seriously? are we in sixth grade civics?

and if all that wasn't bad enough, he had a sit down with Obama? did you tell him his health care legislation really sucks and his mama wears army boots?  (that last part is just something I remember from when I was twelve...there is no other deeper meaning than that, seriously, it's just that stupid).

I love the comment made by Dick Morris last night, comparing something Colin Powell had once said in relation to Iraq: "you break it, you buy it..." -- and quickly spun it around addressing Obama's new start treaty made expressly for Egypt...repeating, "you break it, you buy it."

And if we were all wondering what in the world Israel was thinking...now we know that too; a resounding WTF America? is chiming out of the airwaves there...yeah, I think it was tweeted by somebody in the ministry of foreign affairs...no, no, I'm sorry, it was a real live conversation:

"I don't think the Americans understand yet the disaster they have pushed the Middle East into," said lawmaker Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, who until recently was a Cabinet minister and who is a longtime friend of Mubarak.
"If there are elections like the Americans want, I wouldn't be surprised if the Muslim Brotherhood didn't win a majority, it would win half of the seats in parliament," he told Army Radio. "It will be a new Middle East, extremist radical Islam." within the article linked above, written by Amy Teibel of the Associated Press

while silly Americans are just going to market, getting ready for bean dip and nachos and pizza in less than 72 hours, without a care in the world -- no, scratch that, we care, it's just that this crazy town activity isn't anywhere close to our back yard...it doesn't affect the outcome of the big game... doesn't really have anything to do with you or me, right?... they can work it out... "the youth" have staying power and will prevail... trading a Mubarak for an ElBaradei, what does it really matter in the great scheme of life?

Wrong again.

But yesterday said it all:  apparently, we now live in a world where it is totally cool to tweet major, hyper-sensitive, international relations recommendations -- a.k.a. unwarranted and ill advised advice -- from a political has-been with a penchant for attention -- and nobody thinks anything of it.

This week has accidental tourist written all over it, between how we began the week focusing on the horrors of Super Bowl entertainment, and an advertising campaign built around the idea, "I'm not buying it" -- to later, questioning the authenticity of the Egyptian sit down and America's involvement, thinking to myself, I'm sure not buying that... -- to today, recognizing the latest 21st century truism, what we 'break-ah you buy-ah' (may I recommend a Turkish accent on the fly) no matter how costly or where we are around the globe.

I should be tweeting, 'it's a stunning turn of events for this little American girl.'of course, adding a frown-y face at the tail end :(

The worst part is, we haven't even entered into the worst part.

And now, given the side of the bed President Obama has chosen to lay, spinning this in America's favor, or simply desperately trying not to say another word for fear it may make things worse, will be all the more more difficult.  The stage has been set; the hyper-ganda extravaganza has already begun; we have already meddled too much; we have made our bed; we are responsible for breaking Egypt and Israel relations, by rolling over on top of them both in one fell swoop --

how did we get here?  did someone slip us a roofie?  what were we thinking?

Our president has now made a situation; he will have to choose between standing up for Israel and our rich history of Judeo-Christian relations, deeply and defiantly defending the homeland for a vast majority of the world -- and the very birthplace of America's soul,OR

he will choose a certain and specific Islamic state -- and not the peaceful kind (as we would be kidding ourselves if a certain Egyptian democracy could  rise all of a sudden from this rubble like a Phoenix).

for me, on this "happy thursday" (yeah right) -- I am finding myself unable to breathe.

perhaps we should just Twitter and Facebook out to all our friends to meet up on the White House lawn... asking for a sit down and then a step down -- and maybe not in that order -- this might be the only way to go, in order to command a certain respect that, already, our president seems akin to understanding -- some would say he is almost advocating, right?  -- hey, it's just us "youth" out here, demanding our rights of universal humanity and best interests to be heard...can you can dig it? yo, Mr. President?

Between the absurdity of signing off on an UNLAWFUL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL health care law -- a sorry piece of legislation that already has more organizations and states opting out than those supporting it, waiving any and all agreements to abide by it, making it null and void for a few, leaving whoever shall be left to pay for it, while magically manipulating Medicare monies to cover 500 billion of it's costs, of which, will never see the light of day -- 70% of the people, 27 states, 729 waivers later -- how about we tweet this all together now shall we: "we'r not buy'n it mr. prez -- give it up 2day"  For more good tweets, go to The Morning Bell's feature this morning from The Heritage Foundation...I love, love, love these guys.

Oh how I wish the main man was a conservative -- he's cute, funny, and who can say no to him really?  I cannot tell you how much I wish I admired his taste in politics, ideology, and his whole social justice thing going on; I wish I could love more than just his pretty face, truly I do...and you can blame his wife, Michelle, for the fixation on his looks this morning...remember when she told us all not to vote for somebody just because "she's cute" -- I mean, my gosh, compare ObamaBabe to G's first hit of the day, M'key dodo bird; hands down, no contest.

But seriously, this guy can't get out fast enough if you ask me, and I hear you, loud and clear, nobody is...

Hanging on the way things are said and done these days, let's just leave it at the realization that the world is in for a world of hurt -- and coming to a theater near you shortly -- stay tuned to your Twitter/Facebook page '2 find out whr u shud run hide 4ever'...Australia's looking pretty good...except for a little water damage...at least everybody has their own accidental moat...as the glass is always half full in G's world (and regularly, it's red wine).
