It's a Little Miss Leading Thing

Dear America,

i love how, like, the big guys of social media decide for us -- hmmmm, um, like, which free speech is misleading, or racist, or inappropriate to share, or whatever, and which "free speech" is okay.

...you can play a little catch up with what happened on Facebook, here.

But just today, Twitter suspended the account that featured that darling eight year old girl, impersonating AOC: via @AOCPress; it's like, being more than a slap on the hand, the account was permanently suspended!  If you happened to have missed it, you can still catch it on Ben Shapiro's, The Daily Wire, here.  Better hurry.

like, has the Left no sense of humor?

Jeebus, like, every Saturday Night Live, every late night comedian, profits, nightly, and wildly, from poking fun at the Right -- with plenty of tweets, re-tweets, and Facebook postings, to follow...and you guys can't handle this little girl?

According to Fox News,

"The social media giant also suspended the account's creator, Michael Morrison. It said that while users could create parody accounts, they couldn't use 'misleading account information in order to engage in spamming, abusive, or disruptive behavior including attempts to manipulate the conversations on Twitter'."

"can't use misleading information, blah blah blah, to manipulate the conversations on Twitter."

Seriously?  Like, you can't be serious.

like, where do we begin?

Twitter's success is based --  and is banking on, really --  a never ending flow of a leading and misleading  information, in order to create the very dynamic of non-stop virtual conversation from all over the globe, twenty-four, seven.  What they dislike, is the Right, using the platform for making any political gain.

So what's the endgame, you bunch of twits?  Are you just going to find ways to delete us all, permanently suspending every conservative, every opposition post, every person, every organization, which pairs their humor and their views leaning to the right?

By definition, Twitter is all about communicating in pithy zingers back and forth, 140 characters or less, or whatever it is....(I'm not a user).  Am I missing something?

Let's go bigger picture for a moment, using a different actor, paired with CNN along with its leftist audience --

“The political landscape is unrecognizable to me, and shame on us for being in that spot. That could change overnight, not because of a vote, but because people say, ‘I want to try to be more than about myself.’ That’s the definition of public service.”

Seems Kevin Costner is a wee bit frustrated with the caliber of America's civil servants, the selfish bastards that they are.  Or wait, maybe this is more about using his celebrity to make a point, landing a well-timed criticism about "the [current] political landscape' -- aka the Trump Administration --  to be tweeted and retweeted, posted and re-posted, all around the world?

he continues --

“This is the greatest experiment in humankind: America. This great idea about America still exists, it’s still here. People still want to come here, but we’re not first in hardly anything that matters and we have an inflated idea about how we are. We exaggerate about what we are. We are everything that’s great and we are everything that’s human. And our humanness and our level of selfishness is overtaking our chance to be great.”
Worthy of repeat:

"We're not first in hardly anything that matters and we have an inflated idea about how we are.  We exaggerate about what we are.  We are everything that's great and we are everything that's human."
um, like, what is Kevin even saying?

And besides, dude, even you just said that America is "the greatest experiment in humankind!!!!"   Talk about inflation...  You know, sounds to me, like, you are running the risk of shaming other countries who aren't doing so great, in the great department, with that kind of declaration.

hmmmm and "not first in hardly anything,"  what, except perhaps for Social Media ??? -- we seem to be first in all the world in that, Americans having invented it, and all

and just maybe it's Twitter's fault, or even Facebook's fault, or Instagram's -- of how much we are so full of ourselves, politicians and regular Joe's/Jane's alike

and, given their policies and level of concern, of late, is Trump's Twitter next in line to get the ax?

And repeat:

"And our humanness and our level of selfishness is overtaking our chance to be great."

First, like, you would think when a president donates all of his salary back to the country, that that would be pretty great, right?  Like, Trump is truly acting as a public servant, working without remuneration. Obama kept his salary.  What up with that, Costner, wasn't that a little selfish?  And for that matter, maybe you could begin by asking Congress to stop taking a salary, and just give back to America from the goodness of their hearts.

"This is the greatest experiment in humankind: America. This great idea about America still exists, it’s still here. People still want to come here, but..."

So, according to Costner, the greatest experiment in humankind is still here; the tell being, that people still want to come here,  BUT.

There is no BUT.

People still want to come here because we are still the greatest country in the world.

Our reputation, our label, our level of freedom to live any old way we please, [even our welfare system] attracts.

Our freedom to pursue happiness is written into our founding documents.  Notice that this happiness is not a guarantee,  but that it is the pursuit of this happiness, alongside this life and this liberty.

The ideals, the principles, the values that has inherently made America great throughout the generations is based upon individual participation, individual responsibility, individual duty, that all together combine in the manufacturing and production of individual results.

Which is why, some people can come from nothing, and make something; while others, can come from a whole lot of something, and lose it all.

And we make America great, and continue to make America great, in the collective, when we individually cling to the virtues that are aligned with making ourselves, as humans, a decent and good people.  And from here, we multiply the good times 300 million, if we are so lucky.

Trump didn't do this to America.  Trump didn't invent the snarky, or sexism, misogyny, racism, bigotry, inequality, or the humanness of any such ugly kind.  We humans do it in the natural, if we are so inclined, all on our own, as everyone -- everyone --  is responsible for our own selves!

If anything, our phones and tablets and life beginning to be ill-spent and all but consumed by social media did it to us --  captivated by, and through, the technology now made widely available, leaving us mesmerized by the lives of others, and feverishly in the selfish pursuit of happiness, fame and fortune.  THIS is what has really done us all in, in America.

If anything, Hollywood may be partially to blame right alongside the rise of social media...for how much skin is necessary to show?  how much violence in cinema influences the humanness of humans?  how much disrespect for our elders, authority, parents and children, can be witnessed without it affecting behavior? isn't there a responsibility to society somewhere, for Hollywood to clean up its act, whether in film, on stage, or on the casting couch?

Costner, you have been given a platform to speak because of your celebrity....and, that platform is amplified and multiplied because you fall in line with the left side of the cultural divide.

IF you are Ben Shapiro, you get death threats.

Mike Morrison had his Twitter platform taken away, right out from under him, permanently  --  in the United States of America --  and for what?  Because of a parody poking fun at the left's new little darling, the AOC?

That should be alarming not only to you, Kevin, but to all Americans.

Truth is, you, Kevin, are misleading Americans -- and if you are using a Twitter account declaring such things, it should be shut down, permanently, and immediately. ;)

The truth is -- the political landscape of America has been ugly, like, butt ugly, from its birth.  oh the shock, oh the horror.

By all means, though, don't take my word for it; read, and reread, this history of America and its leadership over the last couple of centuries, to get the whole picture.  And then! tweet about it, if you will be so kind.

But from the very beginning, before we even had a system of government in place, the political landscape of America has not been for the faint of heart. It never has been; and it never will.
And you wanna know why?  It's because we are all human, making our own humanness the best, or the worst, way that we know how.  The whole world is guilty of it; it isn't just an American thing.

We just so happen to be living in an age when news travels on social media faster than you can say tweet. and then it gets re-tweeted.  and sometimes, when it is really good, or funny, things go viral! like Morrison's @AOCPress....
shame on twitter, shame on twitter, for shutting it down.

this is #996, signing off.
and with any luck, this girl will get a chance to sign on for another day... like, you know, when the moment is just right...

Make it a Good Day, G

It's in the Defense of Pure Liberty Thing

Dear America,

yesteryear...
"I disapprove of what you say,
but I will defend to the death
 your right to say it."
today...
"I disapprove of what you say,
thereby you have no right to say it,
and I will shut you down."

The Left's dictate speaks for itself.

For starters, you should read February's Imprimis, 'Shall We Defend Our Common History?' -- an adaptation of a presentation for Hillsdale College, by Roger Kimball; it's my muse on the day.

The thing is, we are presently erasing history -- in art, statues, books -- through censorship.

Why?  Because some of it, if not most of it, is offensive to some of us, if not all of us.  Some of it hurts to see it; some of it makes us emotional; some of it makes us question our humanity -- or at the very least, the humans who came before us.

To his credit, Trump has thrown out the question, where does it stop?

Indeed, where does it stop?

But it doesn't stop there, does it?  What about the blatant censorship of the present?

Case in point, Apple deciding to block an app -- that was just approved only a couple of weeks ago --  simply because it doesn't align with its science?

Taking a signal from The Daily Signal's post

Geologist Accuses Apple of Political Bias in Removing App Countering Climate Alarmism

There seems to be so many inconvenient facts about the truth surrounding global warming, and someone, a Gregory Whitestone, thought it to be prudent, and perhaps his civic duty, to alarm the public....as in, not so fast Al Gore, et. al..

and this is interesting, going to the link of Whitestone's book: Inconvenient Facts: The science that Al Gore doesn't want you to know, you come to find out, it's currently out of stock.  right.  Did Amazon just block the book, too?

as the Signal duly notes, wonder if the app was blocked had anything to do with Al Gore being a member of the board, Apple's board?

Guts vs. Gore -- understandably, this girl's on the side of guts.

[And don't be shy, you, too, can join in on the discussion, here.]

Returning to the good read from Roger Kimball in Imprimis, he says, "the more expensive education becomes the more it seems to lead, not to broader understanding, but to narrower horizons."

And isn't that the truth?

[And on a side-note,
this is shocking
granted, we have only seen
the tip of the iceberg
as far as the ramifications
are concerned on this fraud.
It's gonna get ugly,
just sayin']

We are being so politically correct these days, that in an arena once all about questioning bloody everything, partaking in fierce debate,  and open, mindful, critical study, has grown to be nothing more than liberal petri dishes, producing droves of rather hostile, ignorant, political activists hellbent on destroying any and all opposition, like a bad plague.  Shameful.  And pretty sure this nonsense is the cause of a whole lot of global warming. tee hee

but seriously, since when did censorship become cool?

“How do you tell a Communist?
Well, it’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin.
And how do you tell an anti-Communist?
It’s someone who understands
 Marx and Lenin.”
Ronald Reagan

As Kimball says, "welcome to the new Orwellian world where censorship is free speech and we respect the past by attempting to elide it."

exactly.

The thing is, we should all know by now, that as controls creep in, as opposing opinion is vilified and even restricted, as government expands,  -- liberty contracts; eventually, liberty ceases to exist and the lights never come on again.  (See Venezuela)

It's just more evidence of how the Law of Cause and Effect, in governance, works (or doesn't work); it happens whether or not you agree with it or not.  It's kinda, like, totally natural, if you think about it, similar to climate change.

Even some on the left can grasp the gravity of our decisions --

from The Washington Examiner

The "Green New Deal" is “not achievable or realistic," read a letter from AFL-CIO energy committee heads Cecil Roberts, president of the United Mine Workers of America, and Lonnie Stephenson, president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
"We will not accept proposals that could cause immediate harm to millions of our members and their families," the union bosses wrote.

indeed; thank God someone on their side is keeping their wits about them.

Unlike these stupid girls.

Civilization ends due to global warming vs. civilization ends due to the extinction of procreation.

hilarious.  And if you read that post, linked to stupid, you will find findings from a study that says,
"even imposing one-child policies worldwide and 'catastrophic mortality events' would not significantly reduce the global population by 2100. It proposes instead that 'more immediate results for sustainability would emerge from policies and technologies that reverse rising consumption of natural resources'.
'Even with drastic, draconian, eugenic policies of population reduction – which are completely immoral,' says Pepino, 'we wouldn’t save ourselves. We have to change the way we live'."
and we're baaaaack.

Cue Whitestone:

Inconvenient Fact No. 12: “Modern warming began long before SUVs or coal-fired plants.”
— Inconvenient Fact No. 21: “The current warming trend is neither unusual nor unprecedented.”
It's not about the facts.

It never is.

Just look at the Mueller investigation.

“Government does not solve problems. It subsidizes them.”
― Ronald Reagan

There is a political agenda, with fresh rhetoric applied liberally, literally, day in and day out, and it spans decades.

Here's a clip of one more good read for today:  It comes from The Patriot Post, Jordan Candler:  Debunking Decades of Climate Alarmism:

In June 1989, the Associated Press stated, “A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. … He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.” Today, it’s Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s turn to wave the dozen-years-left-to-live placard.
In similar fashion, Al Gore in 2009 prophesied, “Some of the models suggest … that there is a 75% chance that the entire polar ice cap during some of summer months could be completely ice free within five to seven years.” As Stepman notes, “In 2014, the ice caps were still there. In fact, it’s 2019 and the ice caps are still there.”

Encore:  Gore vs Guts:

Inconvenient Fact No. 53: “There are more polar bears now than we’ve had for 50 years.”
and moreover, ice caps are not static!  They move, grow, alter shape and size; it's almost like they evolve.  And that's not rocket science, it's just called common sense.  According to google and people who appreciate history, did you know that the earth was once covered in water!?  Say it isn't so.

We used to teach common sense; we used to teach history, science, literature,  from all points of view.

It's called discussion; nobody gets shushed and everybody gets a chance to speak.  What a concept.  More important, what is Apple so afraid of, for example, when shutting down a silly little app?

I am in favor of everyone having a voice and I will defend, to the death, your right to say it

These days, this great and wondrous liberty is becoming more and more a freedom and luxury of the select Left, while at the same time, imprisoning any, and all, opposition; and everybody should be raising an eyeball questioning the logic back behind the flawed, pseudo-intellectual, elitist, cultural scientific experiment afoot.

onemorereaganquote!
“They tell us we must learn to live with less, and teach our children that their lives will be less full and prosperous than ours have been; that the America of the coming years will be a place where — because of our past excesses — it will be impossible to dream and make those dreams come true. I don't believe that. And, I don't believe you do either. That is why I am seeking the presidency. I cannot and will not stand by and see this great country destroy itself. Our leaders attempt to blame their failures on circumstances beyond their control, on false estimates by unknown, unidentifiable experts who rewrite modern history in an attempt to convince us our high standard of living, the result of thrift and hard work, is somehow selfish extravagance which we must renounce as we join in sharing scarcity. I don't agree that our nation must resign itself to inevitable decline, yielding its proud position to other hands. I am totally unwilling to see this country fail in its obligation to itself and to the other free peoples of the world.”
― Ronald Reagan
amen to that, amen to that.

It's a Nation of Pussies Thing

Dear America,

"Let a man then know his worth,
and keep things under his feet.
Let him not peep or steal,
or skulk up and down
with the air of a charity-boy,
 a bastard, or an interloper,
in the world
which exists for him."

Self-Reliance,
Ralph Waldo Emerson

so this girl is fit to be tied (what else is new, right)

and considering my general inkling to string one day to the next as seamlessly as possible -- and in spite of possibly a day or two or even a week in-between -- with that in mind, we will spin the last thing...the Open Castration of Glenn Beck into a one-sided discussion of a certain, and painful, squeeze happening throughout the land.

We are turning into a nation of pussies.

Too vulgar?
Possibly.
Did I offend?  perchance
Or is that just some Trump supporter screaming fuck yeah  heard as a fuck you?

Let me pause for just a moment so you can alert the media of my filthy mouth...
.....
.....
yeah, you're right, it probably won't even make the cut of concern, given the rude, lewd, crude, salacious nature of the general population.  The competition in that arena is huge, isn't it?

But what about this nation of pussies?

Let's begin with the brilliant idea -- masterminded by a cadre of left brained, doctorate toting, transformation activists --  to give every kid a trophy.

Wrong; way to chisel the art of competition down to a nugget of irrelevance, people.  If everyone gets a trophy, how does carving out one's personal ambition have a fighting chance? Where is the will to create an atmosphere of growing true courage... to dig deeper, train harder, overcome loss, and start over, if not for a real separation of winners and losers?

This is where 'taking one for the team' takes on a whole new meaning.

This philosophy of even-steven wreaks havoc on building a strong, able-bodied, independent mind and carries the strength to single-handedly destroy an entire generation.

Oh, what?  Too strong?  Too general?
...then congrats, you're a pussy, too.

Let's move on dot org to when these kids go to college -- and truly, they are still kids, having been wrecked, ruined even, by the upper echelon of teachers, coaches, collaborators, and worst of all, their own parents,  in the full-on take down of self-reliance;  for the very experience of failure, hunger, offense and strife of any kind, is a motivator!  Can I get another fuck yeah!?

Let's see, now where was I ---

right...when these kids get to college now -- what happens?  THIS: read it!  From Megaphones to Muzzles.  Or THIS:  read it!  as Tolerance and Free Speech Collide... And THIS..for students afraid to debate feminism....ugh what a bunch of pussies.  literally.

The protected, coddling of a generation continues!

...and somebody still expects us to fill the armed forces with this?  oh that's rich... what a farce in the fine use of force.

What has happened to us?

For a more discriminating observation reveals it isn't simply about getting out feelings hurt, now is it? Common sense tells us this thing is more about a clear and present danger to liberty.  It's a smack down, a squeezing of a certain belief system, an ideology that just so happens to run counter to the ever-evolving, rolling tide, of a nation.  And it is motivated, driven, to quiet the opposition by way of the Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky tactics of intimidation, and a full court press to oppress in order to fundamentally transform America from her roots.  [Early G thing was all over this...but you'll just have to take my word for it or go to vintage G to read all about it.]

Speaking of arming our forces...let's about face for a moment.

The United States of America is at a turning point.  The Blue Coats are not coming, they are here.  Can I get a 'oh no, we're fucking screwed' ?

THIS Commander-In-Chief ------  the thin-skinned, two-faced, ideological Leftist, who enjoys pina coladas with the Castros, un-diplomatic relations and negotiations with terrorists, diminishing and demolishing our armed forces,   and quite possibly, siding with an enemy if push comes to shove...  GO Here.   GO here  (THIS is a MUST READ, btw)    GO here ------ is a disaster!

But worse, when it comes to the international circle of weasels and wild cats and wolverines, oh my, Obama is demeaned and discredited as a world-class pussy, a child.

Hence, just one more reason
why Trump is WINNING

Americans don't like weak presidents.

And by the way, Mr. President
for now, anyway,
and just maybe
until the end of time.

And lookie here,
we go from an Open Castration of Glenn Beck to the Pussy-in-Chief fighting harder for his own ideologically driven, fundamental transformation WITHIN than anywhere else in the world.

And in utmost sincerity, we can blame it on Obama's childhood -- raised by wolves in sheep's clothing with a mission to take America to the woodshed, castrating the very things which have made us huuuuuuugh!

Things like our true liberty -- free speech -- ambition to excel in everything!  -- our self-reliance -- our independence, not this fucking dependence on everything government doesn't have to give! -- our foundation of faith -- our traditions -- our competitive edge -- our free enterprising spirit and economy (not this fucking fake one from crony capitalism) that grounds us and sustains us to go out and DO Things, MAKE Things, even if we sometimes lose a few things in the process....

It's just that... in this moment... little g finds herself so very grateful, overcome in the realization that I wasn't raised to be a pussy.  Thankfully, having grown to excel at many things, at the top of that list is making lemonade.

I can make it pretty much out of anything, thank you, God...

And it's pretty fucking good, if I do say so myself.

Cheers everybody.

Make it a Good Day, G

And thank you, mama and papa, for little g was blessed with two really fucking good parents xoxo...and fetching the soap as we speak. tee hee
