It's a Public Thing

Dear America,

WE DON'T HIDE CRAZY
WE JUST PUT IT
ON THE FRONT PORCH
AND GIVE IT A DRINK

so in this context, how about we just pause for a wee bit and use a modicum of caution from here on out, shall we?

... it's only been a day, and already alarms are ringing, dogs are barking, and heads are spinning.

Welcome to making America great again, whatever that really means.

He's now, “open to doing something with” [minimum wage...per a conversation with Wolf just yesterday!] .... “I’m actually very different from most Republicans,” he adds.

Really?!
can someone please direct this dude to some fundamentals of keeping and respecting and managing a limited government?

This is crazy --  for how can any true conservative entertain the thought of playing with free enterprise as if it's a reality show challenge?

NO, Mr. Trump -- conservatives are NOT open to doing something with the minimum wage.  And having said that, please tell me you understand why, or do we have to send you back to the drawing board?   Is this really how you answer to the threat of the rise of Bernin' Love and his 'creed of ignorance' -- not to mention the 'inherent virtue of the equal sharing of misery'?  And that smattering against the building blocks of socialism, my friends, is duly noted, in part,  from the plethora of Winston Churchill-isms that continue to enlighten the world (that is, if you are into that sort of thing, of course).

Flashback --
It was only last fall when every GOP candidate came together to agree on something along the dotted lines of a minimum wage hike.  And the answer: a resounding NO.   At the time, circa November 2015, Trump even made the point that "our wages are too high."

 huh.

And Rubio said this:“If you raise the minimum wage you’re going to make people more expensive than a machine."

The thing is, there is absolutely no comfort aligning with a candidate who flips on issues, especially the easy ones; it's got legs like a rabid dog off his leash and makes cray cray look like a field day.

just letting it all spill today

there is no time to edit

Whoa.  Wait a minute.  Scratch that, and allow me do a back flip.  Nevermind what I just said, there is a time for everything, right?

This is a time of venting; the time of venting comes just after a time of boiling (you know, given the level of steam bottled up with a destiny to blow).  And while I was well on my way to crazy town with the events of this wacky primary season, this girl came to a rolling boil upon the declaration of the "presumptive nominee Trump" on Tuesday night.  I mean, maybe not like Mark Livid Levin, or GlenLivid Beck, but it was pretty close... Right, Nate?

So, Dear Mr. Trump --
we can't continue like this, okay?
I beg of you!  Figure this out!  Get your head in the game and understand what you are saying each and every time you open your big bad-ass mouth.   Ask yourself -- does this align with the conservative country principles of which I say I am ideologically in cahoots with, and pragmatically willing to use as a jumping off point, or not?

And Read THINGS.  Read good things about how this country was made and understand the difference between left and right.  It's really that simple.  Really.
And above all --  please don't make The Right regret this. The American people of the Grand Old Party could have picked any of the seventeen, but in the end -- by the process of elimination, mind you -- landed on you with a kind of dumb luck nobody saw coming.
 How crazy is that?
May you heel, heed, to everything this means for the future of this Republic. [And here's a great video to explain what it means to be a republic].
God Speed and God Bless, G
so that's my day and i'm stickin' to it

there's more to say, indeed,
but lucky for you, this is where I leave you.
sit.
good dog.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a Republic If You Can Keep It Thing

Dear America,

'i don't have a problem, you have a problem.'

'i don't have a problem, you have a problem.'

get ready for a continuation of another bicker fest over the holidays, right?

you know how it goes -- it's pent up -- and every couple of years, it gets a little bit ugly across the table.

We've been surveying all things related to boundaries this week.  Some people just don't know where to stop.   [A worst case scenario:  looking a lot like "a beatdown" in Lansing a couple days ago.]

But more often than not, another perfect rendition can be witnessed coming out of  'the people's house.'   Instead of being genuinely and earnestly and humbly intent on doing the right thing, we get grandstanding, politicking, name calling, teasing, milk spilled and mashed potatoes thrown by the fist-full.  Washington turns into this unruly gaggle of egomaniacs, one-upping each other by the 24/7 media minute.

Don't they get it?

Don't they realize who they represent?

[Don't answer that]

Washington represents the people -- and if A equals B and B equals C, then guess what?  -   A equals...us.

and aren't we all a wee bit into ourselves and our position.

BUT THIS!    This just takes my breath away:

Seriously, Harry?  I love you and that voice of yours, but honestly, what planet are you living on these days? Lock up the opposition?  That's your recommendation to Obama?   Are you insane, trying to be clever and ironic, or  simply angling to work into comedy?

And that goes for all of you on the Left -- insistent and self-righteous about the so-called "mandate" of the president....

Take a seat.  Somebody needs a time out...

Let's review:  The election results show the president brushing against a split of  50.6% - 47.8% of the popular vote -- in real numbers, that works out to 62,611,250 votes to 59,134,475 and a difference of 3,486,775 votes, at last count; it also looks like 26 states going BLUE and 24 states going RED; it also looks like the Senate having a Democratic majority of 55 Senators to 45 Republican Senators; it also looks like a Republican majority in the people's House with 234 representatives, bickering alongside a  200 strong Democrat minority.

WHERE IS THE MANDATE?

You know what it's like?  It's like you're all clamoring to be the one on top -- perhaps mom and dad's favorite.  You know how it goes, being the one who brings home the most trophies... being the smartest, the slickest, the most successful in their eyes.... when all they really need is love.    Love for the process; love for the chance to get all together; love for the responsibility and duty to the whole; love for the monumental and historic opportunity to get something done  -- something that will be truly memorable (and forever honored, if we do it right)  long after they are gone.

Think of it as a time being held hostage in a time capsule.  One day....years, decades, centuries later -- this time will be looked upon with fresh eyes.  For it's just a fact:   Historians are recording the facts and numbers and the chief movers and shakers, as we speak. This is our time for all time.

TO be sure -- there is one person who will be owning the days we make.  That person is the president.

But even so, isn't Washington just a sorry representation of all of us right now?  We are all in the room.

Don't we want history to be kind?

Don't we want the history of THIS -- the fiscal cliff and more -- to show substance, with egos safely checked and balanced at the door for the betterment of the whole?

But let's get one thing straight, Mr. Belafonte, Mr. Sharpton, Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Reid, President Obama,  and anyone else standing on the left leaning soapbox and screaming into the left leaning mic without a mandate -- respect the space.   Where is the tolerance?  Where is the openness for arriving at a compromise?  Where are the spending cuts? Where is simply the decency to treat us -- the Right -- with civility in the public forum, as well as behind closed doors?

But let's go back to something that should frighten each and every one of us.  This body politic, the one that represents us -- it should be of no surprise for the family resemblance.  The truth is, IT is US in a nutshell, in a nut-house, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, until the day we die.  We put these people there.  And a hard reality is rearing it's ugly head, they are simply the microcosm of the macro acting psycho.

Who voted this guy into office?

Seriously?  There will be blood...let's imprison the opposition....come on people, can't we just get along????

Let's think about something for a moment.

For those of us who love politics, isn't the dialog, the controversy, the ideological divide what it's all about?  Doesn't it fuel us, from deep down inside us, to become more involved, more educated, more confident to speak up, to make a change, and hopefully, BE the change?   We choose to be republicans and democrats, conservatives, liberals, independents, libertarians, and even green  for a reason.

Apparently, somewhere down the line, we can no longer get together and simply, and respectfully, and lovingly, agree to disagree.  The boundaries safely honoring each man's space to believe what they will have been smudged, infringed upon, if not offensively crossed.

And with that, dialog is sure to stop altogether, retreating to our own corners, slamming doors and all; what should become of us now?

The thing is --  and I really hate to be argumentative here -- but THERE ARE two sides to every situation.  Yours and mine.  What in tar-nation is the problem?

Somewhere in the middle lies the hope of reconciliation and resolve.

But if we stop talking to each other -- we stop.

And if we never stop to listen -- we lose.

And if we just wish we could lock somebody up for being of a different mindset, or call for blood because we want two different things, we have already crossed a line and over to the other side.   In a word, it's called chaos; it looks a lot like lawlessness,  untethered recklessness in thought, word and deed.  It's also unconscionable, given what we inherited!

In such a situation, a third party or mediator is useful.  In relation to Washington, that responsibility falls to the one in charge  -- the president.   His job grows less political and more about keeping the peace, finding solutions, breaking the standoff, blending the ideas, assuring confidence in the process that all is not lost, much like a loving father would do.

Unfortunately, President Obama doesn't recognize this mandate.  He resorts back to taking measures outside of tradition, outside of the realm of precedence and chief duty of keeping the peace.  [And shocking, isn't it... given this is the response from a recipient of a Nobel Peace Prize!  talk about getting  a trophy for doing nothing....]

But let's make something perfectly clear, Mr B. and President O.  Unless living in your own little narcissistic, egotistical, pig-headed, unyielding, stupid world --  there is no mandate; the American people are split down the middle in two, almost in equal portion.

No, scratch that.  It's not that simple.

Let's not fall into the trap of sugarcoating over our reality, for that's just being delusional.  We are a patchwork of characters, with each our own idiosyncrasies in Technicolor glory.  Independent and magnificent, aren't we all a little bit crazy in our own way?  But now we're just getting sidetracked.

The American people are inherent of a foundation -- complete with the tools, the design, the principles, the structure, with all the hopes and best intentions in the world.   It was as if the founders blessed us with a family heirloom --  so fragile, not even they could guarantee it's future.

Benjamin Franklin

And what this means is --  we are in the midst of only one mandate.  We must each take a corner and own it, mend it, patch things up and cherish it.  All voices are not only expected, but mandated, to show up around the table.

In the people's house, everyone has a chance to have the floor -- while for everyone else, there is an open  opportunity to listen.  It's a beautiful thing, being in real relationship with one another.

Sure, it comes with a whole host of problems and issues; it's not perfect; it's loud, teetering on obnoxious.  But it's real!   It's engaged -- it's dysfunction -- it's American -- and "it's" still talking.   And let  me tell ya, that is a whole lot better than not saying another word.

It's a Bottom's Up Thing

Dear America,

"As government expands, liberty contracts."

the country is top heavy...and not because of what you think.

It's not because of the top 2%, or even the top 10% of all wage earners -- who just so happen to pay 71% of all federal tax revenue.

Nope.  Keep the change.

It's because we, the people, have allowed our government to grow exponentially -- stealing our liberty every step of the way -- and eroding the very foundation in which we stand.

Clearly, we are top heavy.   And we all know what happens when that happens, right?

The THIRD city to go down in the state of California -- San Bernardino -- knows exactly what I am talking about.  Can you say pension overload?  Can you say exorbitant salaries?  Can you say unconscionable entitlements?   Can you say twenty years of nobody watching just what 'they' do?

Just who holds sweet liberty now?

America was designed to build our liberty from the bottom up -- one citizen at a time, from generation to generation, and never breaking the code of honor and integrity which binds.

But as we are witnessing today, this very notion of the bottom being part and parcel of our nation's unfaltering, unwavering foundation and being of principal and values and the rule of law has simply grown non-existent.

Instead of building upon the elements proven to withstand the test of time -- living honestly and morally sound, investing in years of hard work and a good education, being of exceptional character as best we can -- the bottom has simply decided to check out, leaving all duty and responsibility for someone else's shoes to fill and essentially leaving a huge, massive, uncharacteristic, un-American, void.

Just who jumps in to fill the void?

oooh which reminds me of another good video to cue on GTV (it's a replay, but who's counting anything right?) --

We are entering a new phase in America -- it seems to be some rendition of a mob rule, masked by a highly corrupt rule of law maligning with unscrupulous representatives who have usurped all power of our Constitution.

The mob at the bottom is totally okay with this; for this topsy-turvy view of being a productive, integral, responsible, accountable citizen has been replaced with a brand new mindset -- some kind of compilation of a junkie on entitlement steroids and an Occupier who simply wants to stick it to the man.

Now this girl is certainly no engineer, but me thinks a country -- a Republic -- can only keep it's balance for just so long.

It all comes down to a few things:   the weaknesses of human nature --  the inherent faults of inferior construction and lousy materials -- along with an ignorant (yet sometimes blatant) trampling of the blueprints.

Thanks to a gift from my papa, I receive a newsletter, Access to Energy, each month.  It's published by a science/tech guy running for Congress up in Oregon, Dr. Arthur B. Robinson.  It's really good stuff.  Anywho,
he includes an essay simply entitled "Democracy" and shares this thought --

"The real issue is whether or not we can convince the majority to elect a Congress that will return to government under the Constitution -- wherein the powers of the majority are placed below individual human rights.  Will the majority realize that their rights are no safer than those of the minority?  Will the custom and culture of our Republic and common sense prevail?"

And adding one more thing under a heading of "Stark Raving Mad" -- Robinson laments upon the thought of what Thomas Paine would think if he were here today and makes this observation (and totally like a mad scientist, too):

"That it is not common sense that the 99% and the 1% would permit the 0.001% to set them against each other and thereby enslave the entire 99.9%.  To do this would be "stark raving mad."

Exactly.

If the mob at the bottom was really using it's head, they would see this.

They would see that they are in the midst of eroding not only their own liberty, but the liberties of other people that they will never even exchange 'hellos'...

[cue the light bulb above my head]  Because that's just it; we are not a nation of skyscrapers and corporations.  We are a nation of people.  People needing people, as G quickly digresses into cheesy...

Producers needing consumers; consumers needing producers, to buy all the many things they want or need or must have -- and requiring a real job to pay for all of it.  Given previous conversations, it's the fairest exchange of all when allowed to operate freely, openly, honestly between all the parties involved.

And yet the hard reality remains to be seen --  the only thing the government produces is a world of debt built in the middle of nowhere wasting trillions of dollars propped up by fiat money and paper pushers of bureaucracy.  Every job the government produces, every new government entitlement, every empty government building, every wasted government stimulus, every dollar printed like monopoly money costs us money!

While the mob at the bottom just wants more of it.  The Republic is seemingly being outnumbered and outwitted right before our eyes.  weird.

Dr. Arthur Robinson notes in the very same issue a steel deficiency -- sharing new stats that the Chinese produce 46% of world's steel, while the U.S., merely 6%.  6%!  that is a whopping 6%.  [Andy Carnegie must be shaking his head right along side Tommy boy]

But we'll have to save that conversation for another day.

Bottoms up.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a Republic Thing -- Do You Know the Difference?

Dear America,

it's all about scale --- total liberty to no liberty.

This is the starting point in a conversation delving into the differences between The Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Street protests.  Take ten and watch GthingTV -- or jump to the next video to catch the long wind version of the same thing:

thank you "800mEric" via youtube!

And if you happen to have thirty minutes -- watch this:

thank you "davnxs" via youtube!

"it wasn't what government did...it was what government was prevented from doing that made the difference."

Considering we are currently witnessing the anarchy phase on many fronts, and recognizing the gift of understanding when we know our history with regard to the rise and fall of civilizations large and small, the John Birch Society videos quickly conclude that the next phase is tyranny through oligarchy.   And really, if you think about it, we are nearly there now.

The Power Elite --

....those controlling the activity of the Central Bank -- the flow of money and the specifically, the printing of money and the growing of a serious national debt

...to those in high office legislating law and regulations, bailing out banks with the people's money, to partnering with private industry, and infiltrating media in order to control how the general public thinks and reacts by way of propaganda

Over time, this formula of the Power Elite meeting up with the power of government creates the very conditions to lose the people's Republic; soon, we return to a time of tyranny, as the government becomes the master and the people become the slave.  Our nation of freedom and liberty for all comes crashing down.

While our founders predicted as much.

"Only a virtuous people
are capable of freedom.
As nations become corrupt and vicious,
they have more a need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

America's culture, spirit of free enterprise, and prosperous future relied entirely upon the people to remain virtuous -- to be honest, charitable, trustworthy, industrious, hard working, responsible, dutiful, faithful, self-reliant, and on and on and on.

The thing is -- "the public thing," the Rule of Law, the Republic of the United States of America, is being stifled by the Mob.... an organized, mobilized, loud and unlimited power and scope of an overzealous government coupled with the power of unions and fractions of our citizenry who feel entitled to the wealth of others without earning it. This is anti-American in every way.

Our inherent rights, duties, and natural freedoms do not come from government; they come from a higher power; this is the truth and the very basis and reason back behind making good, sound, self-government the cornerstone of our nation's foundation.  If we lose good self-government, we lose everything.

What is the difference between the Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Street protests?

Strong self-government...

Limited power of government vs. oligarchy running amuck.

Self-reliance vs. Government reliance.

Private ownership vs. Government ownership.

and on and on and on.

Make it a Good Day, G

hope you enjoyed the show.

It's a Massive Republic Take Down in the Park Thing

Dear America,

Happy Friday.
Our days of real, unadulterated freedom are numbered.

There is shocking propaganda circling the airwaves -- but before I get to that, let us review a quick review of the "Early Signs of Fascism;" it is posted right outside the door of my girl's World History classroom.

And just an idea, if you pretend this bucket list is being projected through a loud speaker echoing from the rooftops, it will be more fun. So ready, steady, let's begin:

Early Signs of Fascism

Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Disdain for Human Rights
Identification of Enemies as a Uniform Cause
Supremacy of the Military
Rampant Sexism
Controlled Mass Media
Obsession with National Security
Religion and Government Intertwined
Corporate Power Protected
Labor Power Suppressed
Disdain for Intellectuals & the Arts
Obsession with Crime & Punishment
Rampant Cronyism & Corruption
Fraudulent Elections

whew.
getting queasy yet?

Hitler was considered a fascist, mobilizing his agenda under the National Socialist Party (aka Nazi's).

In the other extreme....we get to Socialism and Marxism...and basically applying much of the same but different tactics aiming to redistribute the wealth, destroy capitalism, and flip the continuum of power from the bourgeoisie to the working class using whatever it takes -- from 'peaceful' protests to inciting total violence and revolution.

It's a private park in NYC where the Occupy Wall Street is taking place; Bloomberg [with the boot to his neck]  backed off his request to the protestors to temporarily vacate in order to allow for the management company to clean it up [oh the irony of the environmentalists destroying the grass under their own feet, to the extent of pissing and defecating wherever they please].

But when it comes to crony-capitalism, we can sit a spell on a park bench and read all about it and the 168 Million dollar loan guarantee tied back to Zuccotti Park...Department of Energy chimes in again.

Why should we even allow the democratic process to go any further, right?
Check this out:

'just get it done' --  very dictator-esque, isn't it.  I'm just gonna do everything in MY power to circumvent the congressional power that's out to get me and obstruct my vision of fundamental transformation...

and he is being fully supported by some real winners, too:
just sit here for a spell.

wow.

Our founders were quick to recognize a certain truth about human nature and power -- it can get the best of even the best of men.  This kind of authoritarian power must be restrained through the power of Law to tether the lawlessness and corruption of man; while our Constitution was written to protect the very freedoms of little men, NOT big government.

"It would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights; that confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism; free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy, and not confidence, which prescribes limited constitutions to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power; that our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no farther, our confidence may go...In questions of power, then, let no more be said of confidence in man, BUT BIND HIM DOWN FROM MISCHIEF BY THE CHAINS OF THE CONSTITUTION."  From The 5000 Year Leap, taken from The Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, Annals of America, 4:65-66; emphasis added when quoting the words of Thomas Jefferson.

Our freedom is hanging on our ability to hold certain truths dear, sacred even...untouchable.

I've gone to this next quote often.  From James Madison:

"I believe
there are more instances
of the abridgement of the freedom
of the people by gradual
and silent
encroachments of those in power,
than by violent
and
sudden
usurpations."

And to tie in some straight talk from a bunch of true libertarians, seek refuge under the tree of life @The Daily Bell and read this take while eating that fried baloney sandwich.

it is the strangest thing, watching a REPUBLIC once so strong and so clear about it's responsibility to limit the power of government slip into quiet revolution turning our tried and true principles upside down and ass backwards, with a smelly park to prove it.

This class warfare &$%* has never ever never ever worked; while making money makes more freedom every single time.  capitalism is not the evil super power to blame -- big government is.

And nothing could be more true, or uttered with more passion, when we end this day with one last shining refrain: Power to the People!

Make it a Good Day, G

and have you noticed deeply embedded in the park that we are back to bashing Jews? since when is this okay in America?

Dear America,

"and to the republic, for which it stands..."

but do we?
do we actually stand for the republic?
do we even understand what this really means anymore?
do we have even so much as a clue, as to how far we have become separated, divided, and crippled by our own inability to take a stand -- for anything of value -- anymore?

The only thing that seems oh so very clear these days is the unyielding and wretchedly overbearing idea of a creating a new America-- yet, eerily unbinding, non-committal, wishy-washy, and nondescript just the same -- as we are beginning to see through the jaded eyes of liberalism; as if, we've got a new sheriff in town (that being, a corrupt, abysmal, slap across the face to the law abiding republic we once were).

Take for example how The Left continues to re-define us, using the process otherwise known as "democracy" as the language to describe peaceful uprisings in Egypt, to the streets of Wisconsin; the UNIONS are simply demonstrating their right to protest, and make their voice of equality and fairness heard round the world, as democracy in motion -- while the tea party is synonymous to astro-turf, discredited, and pummeled to the ground in ridicule and outrageous claims of racial bigotry and hatred.  The anti-government movement -- even by actual legislators and State Senators -- is considered a move supporting democracy; while the legislators and State Senators home in the State Capital, standing ready and willing for debate and lively discussion, sit politely waiting, like gentlemen (and women) -- witnessing the so-called democratic process upended, turned upside down and into a mockery -- awaiting for the rule of law to take it's rightful place along side them.

The LEFT is being democratic; while the RIGHT is just plain wrong.

I am strengthened this morning, through the miracle of the internet... and even though, in the midst of fighting off tears like a damsel in distress, while warding off a string of feminist yelling at me for saying that as we speak...grief overcomes me; having been sucked into a fog of disconsolate sorrow for my country's current state of affairs, let alone it's future; I give my solemn gratitude for the real, live patriots who live among us, who courageously take a stand and speak up for the rest of us,  and save us:

"The word "democracy" appears nowhere in the two most fundamental documents of our nation -- the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Our Constitution's Article IV, Section 4, guarantees "to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government..."

...To highlight the offensiveness to liberty that democracy and majority rule is, just ask yourself how many decisions in your life would you like to be made democratically. How about what car you drive, where you live, whom you marry, whether you have turkey or ham for Thanksgiving dinner? If those decisions were made through a democratic process, the average person would see it as tyranny and not personal liberty."

This observation comes brought to you by Walter E. Williams -- nestled in a bevy of keen foresight and thoughtful hindsight packaged up daily, redirecting the sometimes wayward, but forthcoming enlightened American,  by way of The Patriot Post...the VOICE OF ESSENTIAL LIBERTY, indeed.  Linked there, on Walter, is his entire piece, simply called "Democracy Versus Liberty."

Williams quotes John Adams saying,

"Remember, democracy never lasts long.
It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.
There was never a democracy yet that did not commit suicide."

So, I guess, looking back, that congressman from Rhode Island was a little bit right, "...every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody..."  I refuse to even call him by name -- we already thoroughly discussed the hypocrisy last week -- certainly, he isn't worthy of any more of our time. I just couldn't help but get a visual tying these two thoughts together.

Apparently, the new, albeit illegitimate, Rule of Law -- make that, OUTLAW -- is under the authority of a new governing body -- Union Leaders, Radical Revolutionaries, and Community Re-Organizers large and small -- along with the help of a few misfits, who, even though they took an oath of office to follow our Republic's lead, heeding to a higher authority, that being our Constitution and a conscience, have deemed now sensible to go AWOL without a cause or sound reason among them.

A brand new paradigm has taken over the town square, west is east, north is south, and not a lick of good authentic faith, integrity, and honor in sight, as it's squelched by the clamoring left wing ideology taking for ransom our republic, and everything for which she stands; where is our true grit?  (yes, with the Oscars fresh in the back of my mind...how 'bout that Colin Firth...yum...The King's Speech...here's to a return for a little elegance and grace...loved his acceptance speech, wit by Brit...and for the other guy, Tom,"the moral of the story, listen to your mother"...  dripping in sweetness...talk to me...snap out of it G!)

Is this what you want, America?  Implosion by mob rule?  Giving permission through our silence, peering out from behind our lace curtain for fear of getting involved;  by our paralysis, for years on end, we now enter into a new age, when the democratic forces stage a coup, subverting the law, shooting holes in our faith, taking advantage of every dream our republic ever intended or thought possible.

Waging a perverse assault against the homestead, the land that we love, is what is wrong; AND, of all things, using the very tool distinguishing good from evil --  as in the process bestowed upon us through a thriving democracy in action, the ballot box, most otherwise held in high esteem under the watchful eye of the Rule of Law, first and foremost.

"it soon wastes, exhausts, murders itself"

-- as we allow for the very sticks of dynamite...
the faults of majority rule, the fallacies of an overzealous agenda, the mistaken identity of a democracy going rogue, which ultimately, and methodically, and misguidedly, turns unto itself for every petty, selfish entitlement, for every Utopian dream of a more fairer, truer, richer new world order...
-- to strike the foundation from which we came, leaving our republic behind in the dust.

You would think, after all we have learned by now, of the rise and fall of democracies far and wide, the intellectual pool from underground, would be bursting from beneath the surface, spouting tales reinforcing our true north; you would think, after dust to dust and generations of seeing the fruits of our labor only come from hard work, self-reliance, with equal portion of understanding that man must rule himself -- wisely, intelligently, thoughtfully, and conscientiously -- our exceptional-ism would live long into the forever after.

But we stopped teaching the right stuff, didn't we?

We stopped empowering our youngins' with the goods to live long past our sunset, haven't we?

We near plum forgot what it means to live in a republic and treat her with respect -- to honor our privileges by doing right unto one another, huh?

Matter of fact, word 'round town makes me think a duel may be the new order of the day; let's line up the definitions and ideologies and differences of opinion -- based solely upon the merits, mind ya,  not with gun-slingin' or bows and arrows -- and see who's got the last man standing, shall we?

This week, G wants to look at the THINGS WE STAND for -- and the things we seem willing to lose just the same; it struck my funny bone last night, when in the middle of Hollywood's night to shine unto thy self, that about half way through, a couple people representing "the academy" and "ABC" put our hearts and troubles to rest by letting us know something really important -- sleepless we are no more -- for the two entities have partnered up through the year 2020... in order to bring forth the spectacle most wanted, and simply known in these here parts as the Oscars ........ (lol)

...as if, anyone around will still care
...as if, we can still afford to even go to the movies
...as if, and on second thought, Hollywood might be the only thing left standing
...as if, it's all about me, taken to a whole 'nother level of discontent, hasn't hit the town already
...as if, LA hasn't been bombed by Iran, China, or even one of our own, before the decade is done...

What will AMERICA look like in the year 2020?  Shouldn't we worry when the media chastises the Tea Party, and yet, turns around, elevating something that runs so counter to our principles, as in the mob rule tearing apart the rule of law within the Wisconsin state legislature -- as if picking up a poster themselves and calling it democratic -- storming the state capital, calling it the right thing to do?  Shouldn't we concern ourselves with the level of character and conscience graduating from our schools of learning, when the majority of them couldn't tell the difference between a republic and a democracy to save their own life, let alone someone else?

This is basic America 101, riding in on a stagecoach built for a princess, and yet, we are caught in the crossfire of mis-characterization, wanton assault upon the Rule of Law itself,  and sheer demagoguery of the worst kind.

Keeping vigil on through the night, might be a good start; mayhem may ensue; as always, seek shelter with the like-minded, like a Walter E. Williams, like a John Adams, like all of those who contribute to The Patriot Post everyday  -- and of course, keeping a steadfast faith in Something Greater than ourselves.

Make it a Good Day, G

Dear America,

Happy Friday

And this, my friends, is America operating with a radical in chief:

he has sent in the troops, acting directly against the rule of law, inhibiting the free flow of our republic, by interfering with a state's ability to control, lead, defend, and live within it's means and abide by the law, for all citizens concerned.

Union members and our president's very own community operation, Organizing for America, has been called upon to threaten, intimidate, and create utter chaos, upon the personal homes of GOP lawmakers, and specifically, the governor, in an attempt to force the republican leaders to back down.

And to think, our president, who initially said, 'um ah, let me just say, I haven't followed exactly what's going on...but it would seem to be an assualt on unions."... has ordered in his thugs to wreak havoc against the democratic process to take place, blatantly acting against our rule of law.

Instead of ordering the democrats to show up in Wisconsin, to man up, and vote -- we watch him blast the Governor and enforce and reinforce the troops on the ground protesting in the streets, and within the capital building, and upon the lawns of lawmakers in full force.

This is an affront to everything America stands for according to our rule of law -- and he should be impeached.

There, I said it, for this reason and many more, he should be gone.

THIS is a turning point for America; the president's direct involvement turning a state issue further upside down, turning the body of lawmakers into a three ring circus, is deplorable, reprehensible -- while adding an element of vitriolic divide never seen before.

God bless the United States of America, this morning, and every morning from here on out.

Make it a Good Day, G

And PS to the haters who seem inclined to test me, antagonize me, with leaving comments deemed inappropriate, rude, or just plain stupid -- I welcome all views and comments when they are thoughtful and not of the kind that simply, "anonymously", and cowardly lash out against my views.  I love dialogue that welcomes all respectable response and conversation...but make no mistake, its my blog and I can do what I want to -- and I will most certainly delete the mean spirited and ridiculously ugly thoughts that come my way every time.  blessings and kisses all the way around people.

Dear America,

Government 101:

Homework today includes the viewing of a YouTube video featuring a clear and simple explanation of why the United States of America is designed the way it is...

....and to the Republic for which it stands...

What we are experiencing in Washington today, with our government blatantly behaving badly, is the loss of all common sense and sensibilities on what our dear Republic's true nature and purpose is supposed to be as defined by our founding fathers. Our government is capitalizing on it's liberal use of power, overstepping the boundaries of a limited government written according to the law, pleading its case to the citizens for democracy's sake, all the while, little by little, their actions take away the mainstay of our land -- our freedom.

Here's the thing, our overhead is just gonna kill us.

I pause today, given it being Saturday, to take care of the homestead -- my overhead. Its time for weekend chores and taking care of the annoying little things we all need to do to keep order in our lives. I feel good having mailed out bills and picked up around the house. But my point is, and simple logic will tell you, the simpler the upkeep and overhead the easier it is to take are of things. I know it's not rocket science; and who am I anyway, what do I know?

K.I.S.S. should be our new platform; or we can kiss America good bye.

I'm going through a phase that borders on O.C.D. I'm sure; my dishwasher died about a month ago so I've been manually washing dishes since. I can't seem to keep a dirty dish in the sink. Kinda weird, huh. I have to wash it immediately or else the dirty dish starts to get under my skin, annoying me to no end, and forcing me to pay attention to it and just clean it already.

This is kind of what I'm feeling right now when it comes to all the attention that Health Care is getting -- just clean it up and be done with it already.

I don't understand how it got so complicated really. Most of us in America have felt-- for many years I might add -- that a universal governmental health care takeover is NOT an option. WE have never liked the idea; have never wanted to entertain the idea of any system remotely similar to the European Socialist Medicine, having insisted on keeping Government out. This isn't anything new. We have never liked it.

Just the amount of exaggeration alone is staggering, let alone asking the taxpayer to swallow the Trillion dollars needed by this administration to cover it.

And yet, we're still talking about it. Blah blah blah blah blah.

If I were in charge of the world I would begin by any method available to simplify everything. Which honestly, was the reason for Obama's clean sweep on election night. We all thought he was about cleaning up Washington...saying no to lobbyists...bringing both sides of the aisle together...going "line by line"on the budget to eliminate waste...cumbaya. Maybe we were all a bit naive being so desperate for a change, desperate for some semblance of moral decorum, desperate for public officials worthy of the ideals, power and position. And then again, maybe naive is not the right word, perhaps totally unrealistic is more like it.

In the beginning, you know, it was all about the public service for the public good and the gift of carving out a new era in society; the ideals of which have stood strong on so many levels, for so many different people, for so many years.

But now look at us.

Certainly, the first area of business, Washington needs to clean House (and the Senate). My belief is that once they start to clean up a couple of things, the dust bunnies in an another area will pop up begging for attention...and with any luck a little O.C.D. may kick in. And before long, a simple government, based on we the people and the law, can return to order.

If we can simplify government, our lives will be more in control. With our lives more in control, we will have more freedom to find our happiness, allowing the means for all of us to govern our own lives peacefully and independent of one another. It is through our own successes we find the means then to help others, from the goodness of our own heart; not the government telling us who gets what from where.

Our entire Constitution was impeccably written in a manner of just a few pages; the HR3200 Health Care Bill is 1000 pages, with the near entirety of it incomprehensible with legalese and congressional mumbo jumbo, while some of the important topics of interest --abortion-- are purposely not included or not elaborated enough -- as in the panel available to discuss end of life concerns.

Its the fraud that needs to be addressed, not the actual health care. Its the waste that needs to be controlled, not the doctor. Its the cost of higher premiums that follow after the real cost of being a nation who allows illegals, or anyone else, to seek emergency care with no questions asked. We already are this country with open hearts and an open door to any hospital for anyone. How dare you, Mr. President, to insinuate that we aren't.

But a new paradigm is needed; our government is not doing the people justice as it stands today. We are so busy trying to divvy everything up in equal proportion that we are no longer concerned with raising our people to be strong, self reliant and free. Self-government is the only way to get there and in it's simplest form, the surest way to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all.

Like O.C.D, its all about restoring the dysfunctional patterns of behavior with a new way to live; substituting improved patterns of behavior in order to reframe the mind to overcome an action that seems to have more control over us than is rightfully due. Entitlements and government programs begin to backfire on society rather quickly if left unattended, its a numbers game and just a matter of time. This Health Care bill is just another example. The reality we are faced with today is simply the cold, hard truth -- we have to get off the crack and clean ourselves up right now, cold turkey. And to be sure, a little obsessiveness about it may not hurt a bit.

All of which may well take the presence of a Higher Power indeed.

In the last couple of days Obama has turned to religion to help clean up the controversy and impress upon the minds of all of us to turn to our brother and pass this vital legislation, for the good of our community, out of necessity of course. Typical. It is fascinating how a liberal can turn to God in public but not the true blue Conservative... but I digress. As Obama chooses his words of faith so carefully these days, part of me appreciates the mere act of turning to God for help (Lord knows we need it), but just how transparent can you get? Geeze.

And for Obama to pointedly use the WWJD against the 50% of the people who happen to not agree with him is a travesty; we just see it as a matter of common sense is all -- we don't agree with Obamacare, we don't want it, but most of all, we can't afford to even be talking about it! So get over it already.

There are areas to clean up first.

What I would give to see a politician with a compulsive desire to tidy things up; get in, get it done, and get out.

Make it a Good Day, G
