It's a Catch Me If You Can Thing

Dear America,

so posting has been a game of cat and mouse this week...I get into position and begin, then something catches my eye, and off I go on a wild goose chase; or it's been a sit and wait -- waiting to get just the right angle, the right thread, the right way to go -- to get myself fully committed to something so that, for the most part, everything comes off almost second nature.  And it just flows.

It's the way I like to do the day.

If anything becomes a great struggle, I will just stop and hold up -- and just maybe, totally delete what would otherwise be a pretty good thing going.  Divine inspiration sometimes takes some time.

It's not like there isn't enough going on around here, right?

I mean, geeze, "Selma" came and went and I didn't say a thing.  And I wanted to, believe me.  If you happen to have the strength to read the transcript on the president's say there, go here.  A link to the transcript is embedded deep in the middle of his monologue on  who "we" are.  It comes long after bitching about "the popo" -- for all intents and purposes from Ferguson to Fresno;  and coming shortly before making it sound like voting rights are currently at the top of his agenda ...having not changed one bit since the day he was born (in a year long before Selma).

But let's go to something that he said that actually rings true:
"First and foremost, we have to recognize that one day's commemoration, no matter how special, is not enough.  If Selma taught us anything, it's that our work is never done.  (applause) The American experiment in self-government gives work and purpose to each generation."

exactly.

We've talked about this so much ....

GOOD self-government is the cornerstone of America's exceptional system of order -- from the Rule of Law itself, to how we relate to each other in society, individually!   It's nearly all we really need -- good, decent, responsible, positive, self-government!  Hello!

And as such, it just so happens to be one of the greatest individual responsibilities, along with a plethora of duties,  in order to make it so and make a good society grow.  What happens when good self-government seems elusive, hard to come by?   Look around.   Welcome to a generational breakdown of understanding and grasping such a mandate, America's requirement of good self-government.   Cat meet mouse.

Ah Oh.

Oh no.

Stay focused G.

Selma is not the topic today.

Don't go all blurred lines now, girl.  [Even though the president got all bluuuuurred lines in his speech...as always.  He says one thing, means another; or better, says one thing, then contradicts it in the next.  His remarks are full of it all the time. And it's exhausting.  And it's sad.  And it's not what where we are going today, G....]

right...

At the intersection of good self-government and the next presidential campaign, we find Hillary.

First,
and foremost,
she's a liar.

And what a set up.

She handed out the questions for "journalists" to ask, and then she answered them.

Here -- from Politico -- we have a taste of the Hill of yore:
Many questions will be raised in the coming days, but for now one looms largest: How could so smart and seasoned a political actor, perhaps the most scrutinized public figure in America, have been so blind to eventual appearances about the way she handled her email? According to 1994’s Hillary, it all goes back to that Rodham upbringing: “I was raised to really believe that what was important was what you thought about yourself and how you measured up to the standards you set for yourself,” she explained in April of that year, breaking a steady stream of dogged financial detail to pause and recollect her parents’ words: “‘Don’t listen to what other people say. Don’t be guided by other people’s opinions.’”

Well she cares what Americans think of her now, huh.  And she's desperate for your vote (maybe later).

For a gal who out of "convenience" chose to go against company policy and merge personal email with government email [upon her own server, no less]  -- measuring up to her own standards seems to be an afterthought now.  oops.

“After her work-related emails were identified and preserved, Secretary Clinton chose not to keep her private, personal emails that were not federal records,” her office said, in a defiant nine-page explanation for the unusual arrangement that has put her under political fire.  [For more from The Guardian, here]

And as if,

as if she and Billy-boy communicate on email all the time...[hard to do when Bill doesn't even mess around with it, and we all know how Billy likes to mess around].

So she stands up there and says out of convenience, she didn't know how to juggle more than one device, blah blah blah...and yet, just last month, she's gloating, coming clean, if you will, telling the world that she has both an Apple AND a Blackberry.  what?

and happen to love this part, (thanks, Slate) as she does a pretty good job thwarting trust and respect across the board:

“There are reasons when you start out in Washington on a Blackberry you stay on it in many instances. But it's also — I don't know, I don't throw anything away. I'm like two steps short of a hoarder. So I have an iPad, a mini iPad, an iPhone and a Blackberry."

so did she or didn't she...

Did you delete anything then, Grandma, or not?

And wow, check out all the devices....

She's a liar.

If she is so intent upon living up to some kind of standard -- you would think keeping her worlds separated would have been a no-brainer.

Oh that's right...
"I opted for convenience to use my personal e-mail account — which was allowed by the State Department — because I thought it would be easier to carry just one device for my work and for my personal e-mails instead of two."
This excuse she pulls out of her Prada bag doesn't even make sense!

And besides, are we done yet-- I have another appointment, what difference at this point does it really make?.......

“I believe that I have met all of my responsibilities and the server will remain private."

I'm untouchable.

Catch me if you can, she dares.

Oh and we will.

Can you even believe the AP today?

Can you say lawsuit, little miss State department?

I know,  It's nothing to write home about.  Nothing will come of it.  Hillary and Bill have skirted the law(s) for years; sometimes using Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, sometimes making up their own rules, sometimes heeding no rules at all, sometimes breaking rules all around, sometimes blaming some rules for other rules being broken, sometimes just blaming it on the convenience of it all.   IT's second nature for them.

It's awfully convenient to delete things, not remember things, make up things, hide things, plant things, and simply top things with a whole lot more things, just to make it all that more difficult to follow,   And it's a classic radical at play.

IT'S NOT GOOD SELF-GOVERNMENT, okay.

It's a game of cat and mouse decades in the making.

We shall overcome, right?

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Good Self-Government vs. Everybody Else Thing

Dear America,

for the sake of moving through this discussion as quickly as possible -- because the topic is ridiculous when you get down to it    -- we will totally ignore the candid, sloppy, off-putting, sarcasm out of the mouth of Rush Limbaugh. Without being clear on how he said it, the full context, and bearing in mind his usual flair for making a point while being totally absurd (even if it is rooted in a simple truth) -- I do not know where to begin with his remarks on a Fluke. [not to mention, he's a big boy and can take care of himself, with or without the sincere apology]

But let's get down to this:  Sandra Fluke, the law student from Georgetown, on a scholarship, speaking before Congress, said this:

now, let's be clear, most birth control amounts to about a dollar a day.

AND, it is widely available through any clinic, pharmacy, and even on-line.

Now Sandra, actually pinned it down to a number -- $3,000/ to cover birth control through law school...or as she puts it, "an entire summer salary" -- essentially leaving women feeling "powerless,"  as they have "no other choice" but walk away without contraception, for the cost is just too high.

Now Sandra also comes up with a number of personal stories to heighten the sense of urgency, including a married couple who can no longer afford birth control --  to citing another women, who claims to need the oral contraception only to treat her poly-cystic ovarian syndrome (she doesn't need it for having "protected sex" per se, as this particular woman is gay).

so let me get this straight -- she is gay, and yet she needs to have birth control? this woman is on birth control, for treatment of ovarian cysts, and you, Sandra, expect all health organizations (essentially me) to pay for that? she doesn't have sex with men -- which carries the only natural potential she has to conceive a child -- and yet you want me to cover for her birth control?  [I feel like 'Elle Woods', when leading up to her final courtroom blow in Legally Blond]

so which is it?  Is it actually about birth control -- or -- is more like getting free medication to treat any number of female ailments normally treated with hormones and various other gynecological medications?

For if Sandra's argument includes everything under the "all of the above" column, as in any female reason under the sun -- if you need to take a pill to treat hormonal fluctuations, cysts, pain, menstrual cycle, and maybe even prevent a pregnancy along the way -- it should be fully paid for through the Affordable Care Act as prescribed by the Obama Administration without prejudice, and especially without "interrogation."

Now Sandra, you're studying law -- and yet you seem to have a few inconsistencies in your argument.

For starters:  medication is medication is medication.  What makes the need for "birth control" the exception to the rule?  Isn't Diabetes medicine just as essential on a daily basis?  Why isn't that free and fully covered under the Affordable Care Act, too?

If it is really about afford-ability --  the truth is, any smart girl can make the necessary adjustments.  If using birth control is important (as it should be) then cutting back on coffee might be a good place to start.  Perhaps one less trip to Urban Outfitters.  Maybe skipping the second pint of beer, or totally eliminating the pizza night.  And certainly, if it is you -- the woman -- taking the oral birth control pill -- just maybe 'the boy' involved should step up with the condoms.  just sayin' .... fair is fair.

And look at you, Sandra, already on a 'public-interest scholarship' -- are you kidding me?

But let's be clear, "birth control" or "pregnancy prevention" is not a right...just as penal erection meds are not a right. and if you think there is no connection to the two, think again --  where does it stop?

For according to Sandra's world -- all contraception, should be no charge... I guess that means tubal ligations, no charge; vasectomies, no charge; abortions, no charge; condoms for everybody, no charge.

Why stop there, right?  STD medication, no charge; breast augmentation, no charge; penal enlargement, no charge; erection medication, no charge.

Oh right, she did make a point to name some serious issues -- let's get to those: treatment of ovarian cysts, no charge; treatment of endomytriosis, no charge; hysterectomies, no charge; transgender operations, no charge.

Oh but what about going the other way -- fertility drugs, no charge; invitro fertilization, no charge.

How about this just to simplify things -- anything affecting the sexual experience in it's entirety, in all it's glory, should be protected and covered under this new law.

Let everybody eat crackers --  in bed -- and be happy.

This is where feminists and little old G have a real problem.  Albeit Sandra lands herself on a great platform for women's advocacy -- what we miss in the debate is the deeper, more important, discussion: women honoring their bodies, their self-worth, and their reproductive futures.  People like Sandra seem to wish to skip right over it, as if deemed meaningless, in and of itself, without room for discussion.  we can't even talk about the cultural cornerstones of intimacy and love and marriage -- for that has nothing to do with it anymore...

...sure, let's just have free sex with the lights off -- I'm sure everything will be just fine.  [did you hear it??  the screaming sarcasm?? huh? huh?]

Now Sandra, you seem sharp -- are you really saying Birth Control is now a right in this country?

For immediately, this gives half the populace "something borrowed, something free" just because they are born of the female persuasion; how is that fair?

And wouldn't this just be the beginning of a slippery slope, deeming all medication worthy of supplementation -- even if it bankrupts every pharmaceutical company, health institution, long term benefits/retirement plans, Medicare/Medicaid, and the like, in the process?

Women's rights, women's rights -- blah blah blah

Just where, oh where, is every woman's self-reliance?

Women have the power to control their own destiny in every way -- especially with regard to choosing to prevent a pregnancy, or not.

As a woman, I can relate, AND I still have NO right to ask anyone to pay for my birth control; while in this day and age, seems all forms of birth control -- as it is, at a ridiculously reasonable monthly rate -- is widely available; there is no excuse for not being protected.  And if you're not protected, maybe you should forgo the roll in the hay until you can protect yourself.

As a woman (and just like a man) -- I have a RIGHT (and duty) of good, sound, responsible SELF-GOVERNMENT.   This kind of self-government is associated with the innumerable UNALIENABLE RIGHTS our founders fully intended, however not expressly spelled out (for they were widely assumed) when writing our Declaration of Independence.  [And yes, even good use of The Law is based on certain assumptions; and it especially works with Nature's Law...but I digress]

The thing is -- one woman's birth control is no different than another man's Viagra; one women's Yaz pill, is no different than another woman's diabetes shot; medication -- for anything -- is simply medication.

My daughter's medical insurance just went up 28%.  It's sure to be compensating for such new birth control policy as "covered" under the "Affordable Care Law."

Everybody is paying for people like Sandra Fluke to have "protected sex" now -- surely, we should see abortion rates go down, STD's dramatically reduced, along with plenty of liberated women dancing in the streets.  yea.

Make it a Good Day, G

and never mind that Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a C&@T and got away with it.

It's a Republic Thing -- Do You Know the Difference?

Dear America,

it's all about scale --- total liberty to no liberty.

This is the starting point in a conversation delving into the differences between The Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Street protests.  Take ten and watch GthingTV -- or jump to the next video to catch the long wind version of the same thing:

thank you "800mEric" via youtube!

And if you happen to have thirty minutes -- watch this:

thank you "davnxs" via youtube!

"it wasn't what government did...it was what government was prevented from doing that made the difference."

Considering we are currently witnessing the anarchy phase on many fronts, and recognizing the gift of understanding when we know our history with regard to the rise and fall of civilizations large and small, the John Birch Society videos quickly conclude that the next phase is tyranny through oligarchy.   And really, if you think about it, we are nearly there now.

The Power Elite --

....those controlling the activity of the Central Bank -- the flow of money and the specifically, the printing of money and the growing of a serious national debt

...to those in high office legislating law and regulations, bailing out banks with the people's money, to partnering with private industry, and infiltrating media in order to control how the general public thinks and reacts by way of propaganda

Over time, this formula of the Power Elite meeting up with the power of government creates the very conditions to lose the people's Republic; soon, we return to a time of tyranny, as the government becomes the master and the people become the slave.  Our nation of freedom and liberty for all comes crashing down.

While our founders predicted as much.

"Only a virtuous people
are capable of freedom.
As nations become corrupt and vicious,
they have more a need of masters."
Benjamin Franklin

America's culture, spirit of free enterprise, and prosperous future relied entirely upon the people to remain virtuous -- to be honest, charitable, trustworthy, industrious, hard working, responsible, dutiful, faithful, self-reliant, and on and on and on.

The thing is -- "the public thing," the Rule of Law, the Republic of the United States of America, is being stifled by the Mob.... an organized, mobilized, loud and unlimited power and scope of an overzealous government coupled with the power of unions and fractions of our citizenry who feel entitled to the wealth of others without earning it. This is anti-American in every way.

Our inherent rights, duties, and natural freedoms do not come from government; they come from a higher power; this is the truth and the very basis and reason back behind making good, sound, self-government the cornerstone of our nation's foundation.  If we lose good self-government, we lose everything.

What is the difference between the Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Street protests?

Strong self-government...

Limited power of government vs. oligarchy running amuck.

Self-reliance vs. Government reliance.

Private ownership vs. Government ownership.

and on and on and on.

Make it a Good Day, G

hope you enjoyed the show.
