It's Wrong, It's Vile, It's a Man-Made Continental Divide Thing

Dear America,

Which candidate is leading in the GOP primary polls?

Florida Straw Poll
37% of the vote.

Zogby.
28% of the vote.

Gallop.
see positive intensity rating...

And yet contrary to the popular belief that truly counts in a primary,  the 21st century continental divide downshifts anyway:

Here's Morgan Freeman, speaking to Piers Morgan:

"Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term...What underlines that? 'Screw the country. We're going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here...It is a racist thing."

How about you get your facts straight, Mr. Freeman. Just how can you be so vile and so wrong while being so loved by so many all at the same time?  Up until now, in my experience, simply hearing your voice made me melt.  And now look what you've done.  This makes me so sad.

It's a policy thing; it's a push back against a redistribution of the wealth thing; it's a smack down against the socialist thing; and ah, just to be clear, for who are we kiddin', it's a racist thing just sayin' the Tea Party is a 'racist thing.'

but nothing like getting the official response directly from the man of the hour, right.

And just last night, we gleaned a glimpse of another possible candidate (make that two) of perhaps another place and time (or two):

"In 2004, Illinois State Senator Barack Obama gave us a window into his vision for American leadership. He said, “Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us — the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of ‘anything goes.’ Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America — there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America — there’s the United States of America.”

Now, seven years later, President Obama prepares to divide our nation to achieve re-election. This is not a leadership style, this is a re-election strategy. Telling those who are scared and struggling that the only way their lives can get better is to diminish the success of others. Trying to cynically convince those who are suffering that the American economic pie is no longer a growing one that can provide more prosperity for all who work hard. Insisting that we must tax and take and demonize those who have already achieved the American Dream. That may turn out to be a good re-election strategy for President Obama, but is a demoralizing message for America. What happened to State Senator Obama? When did he decide to become one of the “dividers” he spoke of so eloquently in 2004? There is, of course, a different choice."  Chris Christie

Yes, Governor Christie, just what happened to THIS Barack Obama?  Was he the candidate for the UNITED States of America before he was the sitting president against it?  What a fraud.  What a shame.

Didn't he mean it when he called for us to be one nation undivided, acting without some kind of deep-seated, color coded, hidden agenda pitting one faction against another?  Didn't he mean it when he called upon us to come together right now?

Does it really make me a racist simply by not agreeing with THIS president's policy, as the liberal media and Hollywood would have us all believe?   What year is this?  Are we truly progressing?  Are we?

Herman Cain is on the rise and it ain't due to the color of his skin.

HE speaks on behalf of not only the Tea Party enthusiasts, but to the majority of Americans who are clinging to the notion of a fundamental return to sanity.

HE speaks in terms of the common man -- chock full of common sense --  because he is one.

HE speaks his truth because he lives by it -- while his truth seems very much like yours and mine.

HE speaks and we are beginning to listen because the liberal media does not control how conservatives think, for we think for ourselves.

Herman Cain is on the rise because he is exceptional, and holds to conservative principles better than any other candidate on the stage alongside him.

Yes, he is a black man from humble American beginnings.  There is that.  How admirable.

Yes, he does not come with political experience.  There is that.  How refreshing.

But more than anything else, I trust him.
The republican establishment is compelled to quash all possibility of a real run because HE REALLY IS different.

While the Left -- the mainstream media and loudmouth's perpetuating liberal lies far and wide (just thinkin' of people like Morgan Freeman, Michael Moore, Jeannine Garafolo, to name a few)  -- is sensing a real change underfoot, and it makes them scared.

The authentic grassroots revival of a campaign for a real live, conservative African-American scares the living daylights out of them and sends them into chaos -- for how in the world would they be able to use the racial divide as their shining line of attack?  And to that end, the methodology of UNITING the people before DIVIDING the people, also shows no merit (and from a president, no less).

"Our bi-partisan accomplishments in New Jersey have helped to set a tone that has taken hold across many other states. It is a simple but powerful message–lead on the tough issues by telling your citizens the truth about the depth of our challenges. Tell them the truth about the difficulty of the solutions. This is the only effective way to lead in America during these times.
In Washington, on the other hand, we have watched as we drift from conflict to conflict, with little or no resolution.

We watch a president who once talked about the courage of his convictions, but still has yet to find the courage to lead.

We watch a Congress at war with itself because they are unwilling to leave campaign style politics at the Capitol’s door. The result is a debt ceiling limitation debate that made our democracy appear as if we could no longer effectively govern ourselves.

And still we continue to wait and hope that our president will finally stop being a bystander in the Oval Office. We hope that he will shake off the paralysis that has made it impossible for him to take on the really big things that are obvious to all Americans and to a watching and anxious world community.
Yes, we hope. Because each and every time the president lets a moment to act pass him by, his failure is our failure too" just more from the Governor
We like "the idea of" and "the words of" a Chris Christie for the same reason we like Cain.

Put straight talk with common sense together -- and you have a winner -- no matter the color of their skin or even, dare I say, really big and fat.

It's magical, really.

This may surprise the left side of the man-made divide, but I know I am not alone when I look to Martin Luther King Jr. who said it best:
"I look to a day
when people will not be judged
by the color of their skin,
but by the content of their character."

I have that dream, too... and just look at me... a white girl, a conservative, a card carrying republican, on this day in the life of an American girl.

Make it a Good Day, G

Dear America,

happy wednesday
it's just so happens to be my mama's birthday today...and that got me thinking.

dynamic
fluid
evolving...
a transformation based on new information all the time.

A life based on truth has no need to be concerned with what it looks like, sounds like, it simply IS; the integrity of living in truth speaks for itself.

How can the raid pose a "narrative challenge," do we dare ask this morning?  I caught a snippet of the great GB yesterday, at the black board, throwing out questions left and right; he was asking us to do "critical thinking" -- as if we were president for the day.  really good stuff.

And this morning, one of the first reads on the day was this:

"The White House deliberations and disclosures illustrated the public relations challenge for President Barack Obama, eager on the one hand to quickly capitalize on a remarkable military achievement while at the same time seeking a tone that did not gloat or incite the Muslim world."

Even the narrative from within seems incongruous to the whole, with Leon Panetta charging forward saying,

"There's no question that there were concerns and there were questions that had to be debated ...but the bottom line is that, you know, we got bin Laden and I think we have to reveal to the rest of the world the fact that we were able to get him and kill him."
But you know, this doesn't make sense -- like GB duly noted -- if in fact the entire mission's been reviewed and analyzed since August of 2010... if in fact critical thinking, from every intelligent resource within the White House, Pentagon and CIA, has been painstakingly generated and applied accordingly... this seemingly petty detail of showing the photo or not to show the photo has to have been properly argued. (and once again, allowing for GB to surge ahead of the pack)

This growing dilemma [along with the budding controversy over finding out bin Laden's code name was "Geronimo"] is quickly becoming a thorn in the side of what should be a rather stunning turn of events all the way around; and to think, it didn't have to go down like this...

If Obama is so smart, how come he didn't figure this one out already?

Now, 86% love love love Obama for going in and taking this guy down.  86%!

Certainly, a modern day Troy for the history books --  the entire operation running stealth, sophisticated, and superior, with an added element of total surprise; without a doubt, our special forces have highlighted a new age in military might and power.  God knows why 14% remain disenchanted...silly fools.  And so far, the president's approval rating is experiencing nearly ten percent jump in the polls.

If we glean anything else from recent days, gone are the days with 300 men with sword and shield; no longer do we announce our presence by a firefight on the front line -- under the duck and cover of tanks, bombers and an infantry of thousands.  We are Rangers, SEALs and Special Forces operating in covert shelters, underground, and off the radar.  And likewise, gone are the days when 46,000 men were either killed, wounded, missing or taken prisoner over the course of one battle (Battle of Gettysburg, July 1-3, 1863).

WW II total death toll, from 1941-1945, around 400,000; Vietnam, from 1955 -1975, around 60,000; Iraq, from 2003 -2010, at 4,430 --with Afghanistan, to date, at 1,413; during the mission to take down the highest ranking terrorist in the world, ZERO.

Our president better get a bump in the polls. hoo-rah

granted, if you follow me, this girl loves a good stat and revels in the numbers on most anything...

Until just yesterday, I had no idea how prevalent the use of water boarding actually was -- or perhaps, better to say, how "anti-prevalent" as the case may be...

According to Donald Rumsfeld, only THREE people under our care and captivity have been introduced to this method of enhanced interrogation.  THREE.   AND, according to the donald, each instance was under the supervision of the CIA -- no one from the military, GITMO, or anyone with a rank and file did it!  I had no idea.  The impression via our lamestream media, coupled with an ample flow of demagoguery from the mouths of our left wing counterparts, told us a very different story.

But back to the bump.  It is right and good that the president should gain some on this one. What's not to be happy about?

Relish this moment, Mr. President, for it will be fleeting -- 'cuz reality has a funny way of setting in on us over time.

I liken this surge to the glow of a budding pregnancy -- enjoy these early days...make hay with the strangers and neighbors fondling the curvature of new life growing from within...if there is any a time to frolic in the joy and thanksgiving of God's good grace, this is it.

For this we do know, reality remains alive and well under the shadows of an administration run amuck.  Whether you refer to it as some kind of immaculate conception, whether you blame Bush for the inherent forces of economic disaster upon which your presidency has suffered, your "fundamental transformation" -- turning our Constitution upside down and breech -- will rear it's ugly head before too long; let's give it about nine more months.

Bear with me for a moment...

It's kind of like this:  it's-a-'we know what you did last summer' kind of thing; secrets out.  We know who you are and what you're all about. Not to take away from how happy we are for you -- you know, in this moment -- but we have no intention of shouldering the behemoth, stark, unbridled illegitimacy of American history in the making.  We want none of it.

Sure, we will stand by our country, and never falter; we will hold our head high, as we go about our days to remedy and rectify the horrendous injustices to a nation's character, freedoms and simple liberties -- you know, those things that, apparently, many of us have clearly taken for granted, until now.  We will support America to our fullest and our brightest, to the best of our abilities, for all the days of our life -- as always.

I mean, come on, this isn't the time to run away now, is it?  America needs us now.

But even with the murder of somebody totally vile in our midst, commanding attention to where attention is do, lest you misconstrue, Mr. President -- we will never forget who did this -- and THIS having nothing to do with bin Laden bin dying.

THIS --  being TODAY, meeting up with the trajectory of our very near future --  has everything to do with who we are as a people.  Those who remain alive and well on the face of this earth, and specifically within the longitude and latitude of the United States of America, have a whole lot more to say than just YAY and making hay in the moment.  Our life and times just so happens to run a wee bit deeper than that -- or so many of us would like to think, anyway.

The thing is, we're kind of smarter than that; some might even go so far to say, we're stealth.  We're special forces...very special forces.

And the real narrative, the one that counts, the one underlying the very foundation of our existence -- the one clinging to Constitution, in a land seemingly barren of substance and principles against all odds -- will prevail.  It is just a matter of time.

...oh my. but enjoy the bump, sir. you deserve every minute of it, consider it a pregnant pause, if you will -- as anything goes after the first trimester.

Make it a Good Day, G

happy birthday butterfly princess xx you are the very best and your girls adore you.

and for more afterbirth, go here.

Update:  The PHOTOS will NOT be released because they are "too gruesome" and may stir a rash of unintended consequences...OMG.  just who is being stupid now?

IF this was the way he was gonna go, then OBAMA SHOULD HAVE SAID THIS right FROM THE START.
This is what happens "when the stork flies south"...a tie to a little something something only an insider would truly know.xx

Dear America,

THE PRESIDENCY BY NUMBER

twenty percent of Americans lean far left

oh looky here, twenty-two percent of Americans strongly approve of Obama; while 45% of Democrats strongly approve.

and to the other side...forty percent of Americans strongly DISapprove; while 71% of Republicans strongly disapprove.  For Indy's, sixteen percent strongly approve, with 39% strongly disapproving.  Overall, 46% of Americans "somewhat approve," with 52% "somewhat disapproving."

53% say repeal Obamacare

60% say the economy is getting worse

59% say drill baby drill

61% say any child born to an illegal immigrant should not be an American citizen

and filling in the final number with a glaring sea of seeing red, a whopping 70% say they DO NOT LIKE the direction this country is headed.

Even with a strongly LIKED president, as a person, if the election were held today, the numbers say ANY GOP candidate could take it. Consider Obama up against a man who hasn't even officially thrown his name in the hat; against Trump, the johnny-come-lately with freakozoid 'birther' tendencies, the president garners a mere 49% of the vote, with The Donald taking 34% -- and nobody even thinks he is running!

All the while, the sitting president must be shaking, having entered campaign mode with a vengeance this past week; general civility and statesmanship is already muddying the waters -- as true colors rear their ugly head -- certainly, behavior unbecoming of a commander-in chief, a new world order humanitarian, peacekeeper and diplomat, with a side of international man of mystery, no?

The White House, just yesterday, "rebuked" recent comments from a famous preacher, Franklin Graham. From the briefing room, Carney said,  "I think it's unfortunate that a religious leader would choose Easter Sunday to make preposterous charges."  What were those "preposterous charges" pray tell?

responding to a question citing the Trump connection and the birther fixation, Graham said,

"The president, I know, has some issues to deal with here. He can solve this whole birth certificate issue pretty quickly...[responding to further questions]
...There are many people that do wonder where he really stands on that. Now, he has told me that he is a Christian. But the debate comes, what is a Christian?...
For him, going to church means he's a Christian. For me, the definition of a Christian is whether we have given our life to Christ and are following him in faith and we have trusted him as our lord and savior.
God is the only one who knows his heart."

I'm not seeing any judgment.  I'm not even seeing any mean spirited self righteous boasting.

As Carney decries the claims, like geeze guys, look at him...

"The president took his family to church in a very high-profile way to celebrate Easter"...
"I think it was highly visible to most Americans. And he, as a devoted Christian, he believes it's a very important holiday for him personally, for his family and for Christians around the country."

hasn't anyone tooled him on the art of a making a defense without sounding defensive?  didn't Carney walk right smack into the message Franklin Graham laid down  --

...it's not about the show
...it's not about perception
...it's not about "[taking] his family to church in a very high-profile way," you nimrod!
...it's not about making one's faith so visible it could poke your eye out.

True faith is a silent celebration and reverence to the Most High; the authenticity of one's true faith can only be seen and judged by God, only in relationship with Him, as in "God is the only one who knows his heart."

What did Graham say so wrong?  Why the rebuke?  Passing no judgment is grounds for a presidential rebuke now?  and even the whole birther thing...all Graham did (just as Trump) was redirect the interest back to Obama to settle the debate once and for all...as far as the mix of faiths in Obama's history -- it's just fact.  He is being led by what Obama has proclaimed to be his own truth, written in his own words, in his own book.  Obama clearly admits that he has commingled his religions too -- his Christianity and his Muslim faiths have each taken sizable turns with the brush of dominance in his life -- and where it stops nobody knows (so under Robert's Rule of Order, I, second the motion: "God is the only one who knows his heart").

But back to the rebuke:  what is the big deal?  why the defensiveness?  IF the goods are there, if there are no issues, the long form birth certificate with the I's dotted and the T's crossed will settle everything.  Get it and be done with it.  UNLESS, you want to continue to riddle the right with ridicule for a reason, as if it serves a purpose; UNLESS, in fact the long form paints a different picture from the defensive declarations coming from the genuine article itself -- giving way to a reality nobody should ever lay eyes on -- there is that.

The only reason the president is not settling the debate is that this display of who's calling who ridiculous still works to his favor -- poll wise -- that is, if there was a poll illustrating such.  Deep down, Obama believes his own invincibility, that he is winning the future every time a birthing question gets thrown out on a whim and a prayer; it perpetuates the injustice against him for no rhyme or reason; it makes the right look foolish; it invigorates his base and reinforces the organization for his re-election.  We walk right smack dab into it. and the cycle goes round and round.

You know what's funny...now that Obama is in full campaign mode a year and half from the voter's box...where is one of his first stops?  Northern California, to entertain a billionaire sixteen times over and still four years away from thirty -- facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg. So the "self-made millionaire" himself, Obama, begins his march against the rich facing one of the richest young bucks in the nation, if not the world.  Interesting.  The web of hypocrisies is astounding...did you catch that, there in the light of day?  the contrast is beautiful, isn't it?

You know, the president has all kinds of wealthy followers -- people who have made bank in the naughty capitalistic free market experiment going on here in America; let's bring out all the colors of the rainbow and draw up a short list:  Zuckerberg.(16 Billion net worth)...George Soros (carrying a net worth only around 14 B's), Warren Buffet (62 B's), Oprah (mere 3 B's) ...Bill Gates (56 B's)...Arianna Huffington (hardly worth counting @ about 100 million)...you get my drift...lots of wealthy wealthy friends (listing the big O was the closest thing we got to Hollywood...)

The greatest number to fear in today's election cycle is the mounting debt; a debt in which the IMF, as of just yesterday, declared, that in less than five years, if we don't make a course correction, we are gone.  gone baby gone.  bye bye miss american pie.  as there would be no point even calling each other names and taking sides, for america would be made in china for the rest of time.  But, knowing this, even if you added up all the numbers, took every last dime from every single heavy hitter, deep pocket, High-Baller from coast to coast, we would still never have enough to pay down this debt (and not even close to counting the 50 Trillion in unfunded liabilities and entitlements, of course).

The thing is, with everything there is a yin and a yang; there is always light and dark at play --  truth and lies in what we say -- good and evil intermingling with the every day.  The only thing we do know for certain, is there is always a proportion of yin and yang within all that we see, everything we do, taking into account all that is seen and unseen, whether we agree with it, approve of it, believe it, or dismiss it altogether.  And for believers, only God knows what is in our heart; only God sees what we cannot see.

which should give us all the more reason to pause and check ourselves in the day to day -- are we being honest?  are we being loving?  are we honoring our mother and our father and the people we love with our whole heart?  not because we have to but because we want to, because deep in our heart we know that this is what God wants..  Are we treating each other fairly, and with respect?  are we leading by example in our best way possible?  are we living in peace, if only with our children and our neighbors and our community in  which we live?  are we trying to communicate openly and without judgment, are we trying to solve the mounting issues coming from a place of virtue, civility and courage?  how do we emulate the character and qualities we want our children to embrace and imitate?

It isn't so much the wealth that is the problem, is it Mr. President?  You can't tell me the generosity of strangers who support the communities and charities that keep children alive, who protect and care for families far and wide, who give of themselves, as well as their hard earned money -- you can't tell me that  this money isn't working on the side for Good. Wealth is not evil, just as a gun is not bad; it is what we do with it -- it always gets back to the character deep inside the individual...something we cannot see for sure...something only God knows...

As you are well aware, Mr. President, as Christians we believe in the Ten Commandments; one of them goes something like this,  "You shall not covet thy neighbor's house....wife...ox...donkey....or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

By all accounts, redistribution of wealth by the numbers does not sit well with the people; but when you get right down to it --

and I could be wrong about this...
being it's not for me to judge and all...

but it would appear, in a very big way...

...this fundamental transformation thing you got going on here by way of social justice by way of redistribution of wealth by way of robbing the rich to give to the poor by way of punishing the rich for taking all the risks by way of stifling the natural urges to reach the depths and breadths of our very own self-reliance and experience a world made with our own two hands and be able to stand back and look upon it and say, wow. that is good and be joyful -- actually goes against the word of God.

but again, God is the only one who knows for sure; and that, along with the poll numbers, we can take all the way to the bank and back.

Make it a Good Day, G

and didja know this?  78% of Americans believe Jesus to be the Son of God (still).  Truth. Light. Love. it's a good day.

Wednesday, December 8, 2010

Dear America,

Happy Wednesday.

and can we just say 'wow' -- you leftists seem a bit out of sorts, generally speaking.

What I find amusing, given time and time again, the great Obama-san has said he doesn't care about the polls (championing his own goals often times in spite of what the polls say) -- how could he have spent so much time yesterday reciting just what the polls say. funny.

"there are polls right now that say its a bad idea right now to give the wealthy tax cuts...I need to do what's right for the American people...this isn't an abstract debate...  this is real money for real people...I know the polls, and they are on our side on this...this is not a position where I have failed to convince the American people..."

insinuating polls never lie, and that he, oh honorable one, is fully aligned with the wisdom back behind the numbers.

This was his effort in day two of being in charge since day one, in making his feeble attempt to "convince" the American people to stand by him -- or was it?  Maybe, it was more to corner and convince his own party to follow him.  Trust me  Trust me  TRRRRRRRussssssssssssst me.  smirking into the teleprompter.

Some might have called his day two in front of the press, making an extra effort to capitalize on his natural, super fly ability to persuade, a wee bit sthuperfhhpluous... "you try saying it after you had twelve stitches"...superfluous.

Yes, you got me, that was a different day, and a different audience -- but we hadn't mentioned this little blooper yet; and actually, I thought Obama-san was just so cute about the whole thing, I didn't want to ignore it -- it was a fleeting moment that reminded me of his old ways...charming, flashing that gorgeous smile, laughing at himself (if only a tiny bit) and making people fall all over themselves spellbound and adoringly. good stuff, but let's get back on point.

So there he was, at the podium again -- and if we thought he was frustrated on Monday, not sure what you would call yesterday.   THAT was soooooooo, like, uncomfortable..

More unnerving, was the notion that he never had the backing of his people before making his every intention known, that being to cave to the GOP just in time for the holidays; how awkward is that?  Or was it?

I didn't hear but two minutes of GB yesterday before having to leave, but what I did make note of was a certain curiosity -- what is it about this scenario that we don't know, don't see, and are not privy to, according to the underworld of the alleged compromise?  And why oh why,  did we have to arrest Julian Assange now, just when we need a guy like this the most?

I say "alleged compromise", as the actual legislation has yet to come to fruition; while as a matter of record, and by the chilling response the president has received, to date, that prospect has a long way to go -- if the reactions on the hill are any true sign.

His party, apparently, didn't see this coming (even after intimate meetings of the upper democratic echelon with the president, and in spite of a congressional 'holiday' party going on at the very time Obama-san made the announcement).  hmmmm .....strange.....

Something sounds fishy...bring me the fruitcake as something is not quite right.

Now we could argue, this "compromise," which is yet to be signed, sealed and delivered to the American people, is yet another play toy from the universe in the making; while the tarot cards can say something different to everyone.

Obama-san is using it for his own liking, with eyes on the prize for 2012.

The GOP is using it for their own liking, with eyes on just getting to the first of the year, when all else shall be added unto thee.

While the democrats, stuck in lameduck, are using it as the itty bitty leverage they've got left -- in order to quite possibly pass legislation that doesn't have a snowballs chance in otherwise getting along, like DADT, or the Dream Act...but the truth is, when push comes to shove, they don't care if they have to fight for their right to party and speak freely; they dig this class warfare stuff, and will run with that all the way to the moon, around the milky way, and back (even if that program's been canceled).

But make no mistake, the president wins all the way around, the stars are shining upon his lucky little sweet a**.

The polls -- you know, the ones he never pays any mind to -- tell him to go ahead, blast the republicans for forcing him to cave on something he never wanted, and something he promised he would change if he were elected over and over and over again in the campaign.

He is ready for that fight later, in two years, when he can use this "compromise" to feed the frenzy of his re-election; in two years, by heeding the wishes of the right, he will reap huge rewards; if the economy snaps out of it, it will be to his favor; if the economy continues to lag, he can use it against the GOP; on the inside Obama-san is smiling all the way to the bank, that would be the First Republic of China, of course.

He sees his future, he is reading the tea leaves, and realizes one very important thing -- he doesn't really need the lameduck congress to have his back.  As usual, he will do what he wants, what he thinks "is best for the American people" and come out smelling like a rose, or better yet, more like jasmine.  But will this really be for the betterment of America, and Americans?  Is his heart in the right place?  Is this really about promoting the general welfare with respect to the finer principles of America's foundation, or is this just more a mistake in the making bearing false witness to the stars that bind?

But like everything else, a universal give and take is at play; and sometimes just doing the right thing in the moment is enough to carry you into a future all shiny and bright -- good karma can be made and distributed equally and fairly under the rule of law every time; though nothing is in stone, and even the stars could be all wrong, the very intention back behind an action can affect the outcome in extraordinary ways (having said that, only God truly knows).

What it takes, day in and day out, is the honest to goodness effort to truly do the right thing for the right reasons; with that, everybody wins, without fail.  It is the golden rule and silky  red thread that maintains all civility, that honors and rewards hard work and a job well done, and elevates society to levels of lasting peace, prosperity, and justice for all.

What the polls should say to everyone, is that the status quo of uncontrollable spending, wanton taxation, and an overzealous regulatory government is NOT what the people really, really want; nor is it something we can even afford!

And it took the wayward leftist leanings of this presidency to get us here.  IF this president thinks for one minute that the polls are saying to stick it to the rich, as the ignorant ingrates that we are, just to satisfy the prevailing winds of a growing entitlement populace or the left-wing elitists who only want to control the world, then I would say, this president needs to look again.

Those who know anything, recognize this:  those who make the corporate world -- those who do, create, invest, build, shoulder, elevate, the private industry in this country -- make US.  yes, let's give a jolly shout out to GM and expressly to Jeep, for stealing their slogan, in part...

IF we the people can be honest for just a moment, the ways of the world and all that comes with it, carries a great responsibility; and it all comes from individuals -- and really good ones, at that; our jobs, our livelihoods, come from those who can; they come from the bounty of wealth and good fortune of generations of hard work, not taking anything for granted, being inherently grateful for it all -- that is if fortunate enough to be coming from the right place.

This "compromise" over taxation comes from dueling views -- and it is simply a fight that, ideologically, we will never transcend; the fair distribution of other people's money, the justification of giving the fruits of ones labor to another without warrant, is not an American argument easily supported, by precedence.  This argument, this "compromise", actually defines what the making of this beautiful country was all about.

From Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931:
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy our of freedom.  What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.  The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government has not first taken from somebody else.  When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of the nation...you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

From Abraham Lincoln:

"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.  You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.  You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.  You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.  You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.  You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.  You cannot build character and courage by taking every man's initiative and independence.  You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."

You know what the polls are telling me?

Strike up the old bamboo, less talking, more doing is in order (weird, I believe that is Home Depot in my ear).

Dear America,

Self-Reliance is color blind; and it is this natural, unwritten law and order in America -- of a society under the spell of self-reliance and liberty in all forms and every function -- that this country was designed.  Self reliance is what makes a man a man, and magically turns those of humble beginnings into presidents or movie stars, almost overnight.

I am shocked that someone with a Big P followed by a little h and d could be so far off her rocker; especially for someone who specializes in politics - media - gender - and race, of all things.  Who am I referring to with such disdain?  A Caroline Heldman -- and currently, resident idiot at Occidental, Los Angeles.

Yeah, and who am I with no Big P followed by a little h and d to say?  Whatever.

...just a girl who is well endowed by my American label, that's all.

Ahhhh...sweet Caroline...along with Bill O'Reilly and a brilliant professor from Georgetown University, Dr. Christopher Metzler (both often featured with Mr.Bill) ... but anyway, the guys brought down the poor dear and her racially charged ignorance to a new low.  How can someone so well educated be so off base?

She basically said that the drop in Obama's favor-ability poll numbers is a sure sign of the bigots and prejudice still foraging through our roots, as if it couldn't be simply an issue of policy -- I mean, how could anyone not like the man's fundamental transformation of our entire world, almost overnight?  C'mon...right?

How can she be so stupid?

Oh, so we don't like Obama now because of the color of his skin.

Really, Caroline?

If that were the case, then you are also saying that 53% of Americans who voted FOR HIM in 2008, only did so for the same reason....is that the case there my little pretty?  Were we only motivated to buy into it because he was an articulate, handsome, black man who had enough charm to tease half a nation into thinking he was the answer to all our prayers (all that and a centrist, too)?

Unless you happen to BE black, the people who voted for him did so for a reason -- the least of which was his natural tawny glow.

But oh the irony now; for really, as a man who is half black and half white, we put that together and what do we get?  Gray.

What we thought we were buying into is not like anything in what we got; some call that buyer's remorse, others call it stupidity.  Either way we are left with gray area all around.

Instead of being the great unifier -- he is orchestrating astounding waves of separation.

Instead of being mindful of the waste in spending -- he has the audacity to spend even more.

Instead of being bi-partisan, and deliberating legislation under the veil of transparency -- he is mocking the conservative voice, and fundamentally changing America behind closed doors, or worse, simply dictating with Executive Order.

Instead of standing behind his position of believing "marriage is between a man and a woman" as he did in the campaign -- he is demonstrably not saying a word as liberal judges overturn centuries of precedence and a vote by popular decision.

Instead of waiting before jumping to conclusions -- he is casting dispersions upon the white officer, he is firing a black woman, as he hesitates to say so much a word from anywhere from three days to a two weeks before offering up a presidential response to terrorism in our own backyard.

You know, the liberal elites love to paint the conservative right as bigoted Christian extremism at best; but what is it about Christianity that scares them so?  For if they honestly studied religions of the world -- the Jewish faith, the Islamic faith, the Mormon faith, the faiths that follow a loving God, and value the teachings of family, community, reverence and grace under the watchful eye of a peaceful Omnipotence to guide us in our day -- we would find common ground everywhere; a kind of common ground that unites us, settles us, brings forth a feeling of love towards our fellow man; it is the kind of common ground and faith that sustains us, and nurtures the things which strengthen our community -- not divide, weaken, conquer, despise and spit back out.

The mosque situation in New York is a perfect example of how this would work in one fell swoop -- let all churches and synagogues and mosques congregate together under one roof, as in the 21st century town square.  IF in fact the Imam has only pure and good intentions, let the mosque become that which facilitates all faiths to come together out of mutual respect and common love for all people -- why does it have to be this celebratory sword through America's heart?  Where is Obama in creating a community center that is truly a bridge to somewhere real and good and true?

That's what I thought we would get when all of YOU voted for him.

For most of us -- and I would be willing to bet my life on this --  had the same thing in mind when Barrack Hussein Obama was elected; we really thought he had the experience and the chemistry and the restraint to see America back from "the brink" of utter disaster in most every way, shape and form.  The people believed that he was the one -- and I can only hope it wasn't for the color of his beautiful brown complexion -- for if that were true, how in the world could we have been so lame!

But for Caroline to diminish our intellect and question our ability to see beyond the color of this president's skin is simply outrageous in this day and age.  Her line of thinking is offensive, divisive and ignorant of forty years of real growth and overwhelming desire to build a better America in each new day.  I find it hard to believe that people actually pay for this kind of propaganda in schools, but who am I kidding, doinky doink der der dah dah blah blah da, I'm just a stupid girl with nothing better to do than pick Caroline apart today.

What we are seeing in our president,  identity crisis  and all, are a few fundamental factors being played out after the truth has settled (and well after it was long overlooked or ignored):

  • the overwhelming insecurity of never having a true father figure in his most important, formative years(showing up only later and coming under the disguise of Marxist teachers and rebellious community organizations);
  • the unattachment to most things "American" having been raised by the voice of a collective mother or the despised white maternal grandmother -- leading him to this point today -- with nearly sixty percent of all Americans significantly challenged by our country's new-fangled, wayward, anti-american philosophy and general direction brought to us by this presidency.
  • the questionable mentor-ship of a man preaching "black liberation theology" for twenty years -- all being well in good in the eyes of our president until the day he wanted to become our president.
If we really took a moment to look at this man who is now our president -- while if the media allowed for us to see beyond the color of his skin, and to the core of his beliefs and background, without making our questions appear as racists and demagoguery shenanigans -- perhaps the man would have been seen for who the man really is.

The trouble with raising a society of self-reliant people is dealing with the out-pour of outrage when we have been taken for a ride; when you put the man all together, he is neither black or white from all sides -- and it is this gray, that continues to spray a lovely mist upon our rose-colored glasses that has us seeing red.

All I can say is thank God my salvation does not rest in a collective salvation -- a belief the Big O proudly professes; and thank God he is finally showing his true colors now -- if you are a real American, his policy, and just his policy alone, truly blows -- and thank God that finally, the polls (aka we the people, minus people like Caroline) know it, see it, and believe it too.

Make it a Good Day, G

Hey, side-note:
remember how yesterday's theme included a taste of Marilyn Monroe...
Yeah, I had no idea it was the anniversary of her death here in the hollywood hills of California...doinky doink der-y-der...
Is the universe magnificent or what?  I had no idea, I was clueless, but something else made it so...
that kind of stuff just gives me goosebumps.

George Michael rocks it out today...click it...dear america...
