It's a Collision Course of Stories Thing

but you must know -- it's not that I really believe that, okay...

its like, half the time, this girl goes through hell and back just trying to figure out the proper use of the word, its -- is it it's or its ? It gives me a headache every time.  Having said that, if you are into rules, just go here.

Speaking of which, this girl can't wait for Kaepernick's book to come out.  A million dollar book deal!  Can you even believe it?  A million dollars!  And for what?  What story does he have to tell?

  

How his girlfriend twisted his little pee brain of his into thinking he could both raise awareness to his need for a better football contract (after deciding -- free will and all --  to go free agent, and dare I add, bringing a whole 'nother level to the phrase pee-wee football, badump ba) AND raise awareness to one of her favorite leftist causes, that police brutality is rooted in systemic racism -- and eventually growing into a full blown protest, using the national anthem as its leading protagonist. 

indeed.  that was a run on sentence.  shoot me.

But really now -- the thing is -- couldn't we all write Colin's story by now?  What is he going to tell us that we don't already know?  

We have watched his every move.

We have seen all the plays.

We could write his lack of a storybook ending from start to finish without skipping a beat, why? Because whining never prospers!  (And that's just the crib notes, k)

Kaepernick's pompous, imperious ego -- the one back behind the budding author of a million dollar book deal --  is evidence of an unfortunate transformation.  To think, after all these years, allowing for his natural humility to reign, respective of it being a team sport, and all -- practically sheltering his natural talent, impressive skills, hard work and rock star salary from the world;  its like, almost overnight, all the forces that were once with him, all collided on the field in full force against him. Oh what a reversal of fortune!

Oh don't get me wrong -- this girl is quite familiar with the kind of fuel that only a little sass can bring, okay?

I get it...I tend to start my day with as much of it as possible whenever I can.

What drives me crazy, though, is a sticky thing; it's called the truth.

1. The unrelenting anthem protests -- although enriched with the good idea to raise awareness for the common good in treating all people equally -- are actually based upon a lie (actually, make that multiple lies...but we've tackled that, here on the old gthing, one too many times before to rehash again, in the here and now.).  

2.  Before sitting on the bench, before taking his first knee, Kaepernick's own stats were on the decline.  

3.  As a general rule, what kind of all-American football team wants to pay a guy knee deep in controversy, and ripe with contempt, a salary of any kind --  let alone a handsome one?

4.  And here's the real kicker -- Kaepernick chose his path.  He elected to go free agent!  He elected to take his chances!  His little pee brain made him think he was worth more than he really was, naturally playing out a very simple principle of the free market.

5.  and about that claim of Collusion, the Lawsuit?

It's an Election by Intimidation or Conscience Thing

Dear America,

how low can we go, 

how low can we go.

so my girl is in south america these days....eating her way through a semester abroad. everything is about the food... the choripan, the dulce de leche, the malbec, the nights that don't end until the sun comes up...oh to be young and free and bright eyed and bushy tailed about the future!

As a Libra, she's pretty realistic.   And given her natural inclination of assessing a situation, adapting, and balancing the pros and cons on the end of a pin, she sees the end of the tunnel...and it just ends.  It doesn't help that the girl is being bombarded with comments about this election, left and right -- oh and here's the shocker, it's all negative.  wow, color me surprised.

But let me assure you, it isn't all a Trump dump, either.  With the margin of error maybe two points, it's dead even:  both candidates suck and the world thinks we are all nuts....even according to women.

Okay, Pharrell?

 

Here ya go -- let me fill in the blanks; it's all about fixing the election outcome, according to someone who sings for a living --  Pharrell says:

If all the women in this nation decided to vote and support the first female candidate, there’d be nothing to worry about,” Williams said in an interview at Variety‘s Inclusion summit at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. “It’s that easy.”

“Has she been dishonest about things? Sure. Have you?” Williams said of Clinton, before insisting that “she don’t lie no more than any other politician does.”

To the first point...Yes.  Pharrell,  Maybe it would be just that easy, IF by virtue of all women having one thing in common -- the lady parts -- we didn't think for ourselves and somehow all thought alike.   

BUT WE DON'T!

To the second point...Do two wrongs make a right?   

But besides that argument dropping to the bottom of the barrel, Pharrell, can you tell me which candidate is NOT the career politician?   And further, if "she don't lie no more than any other politician," could it also be a reflection of our culture as a whole?    Where do politicians come from in the first place?   Does the macro and the micro match?

Back to the first point:   How far have we all sunk if we cannot accept the realization that each and every one of us is unique?  

And taking that a thought further, our rugged individualism tells us we are not only born unique, but raised, in experiences and environment, also distinctly uncommon (even within the same family, as siblings).   

But here's Pharrell.  He is calling upon women to vote by gender and gender alone; how shameful, how shocking, how sad.   If I were to make the giant leap to say, this explains how the black demographic has been so easily swayed and bamboozled by the Democratic party for all this time -- would it be considered insensitive, narrow-minded, racist, or all of the above, to make that observation?  

 

In an effort to make a more perfect union, wouldn't it be better to believe:

 

All white people don't think alike,

All black people don't think alike.  

All women don't think alike. 

All men don't think like.

And so on

And so on

Just what is going on here?  

Is it Pharrell's left thinking brain, his black thinking brain, or his masculinity shaping his narrow-minded perception of how to win this election for Hillary Clinton (...the liar liar pantsuit on fire abomination that she really is)?   

As a conservative girl who dresses like a hippie half the time  -- it's been long, long apparent just how rare it is NOT to be hastily judged upon first sight as a card-carrrying member of the Left.   Unless in a crowd sharing a known conservative belief, goal, or purpose....say, for example, a tea party rally, or perhaps a church committee meeting, or most definitely a Republican Women's Club  -- there is not a doubt in my mind that most people see me and assume things about me totally untrue; wanton assumptions are made and mostly leaning to believe that I proudly support Hillary, abortion, global warming, sanctuary cities, free college tuition, free healthcare, big government, heavy regulation....just bring on the nanny state and make it snappy...and all the while, live on tofu and kale. (that last bit is only half true; tofu sucks...tee hee)  

Shirley, the notion for  all women to cast a vote for Hillary, based purely upon Hillary being the first and only woman in the race, must have to equally alarm not only the women on the Left, but the entire effing LEFT!  Right?  It's like, how many wrongs is actually tied up into that knot?

Ugh

But not in all my life has the absurd been any more absurd then after listening to President Obama just yesterday...In a pathetic display of desperation, the Left goes low, and lower still.

Hey Barack,

the sixties called, and they want their democratic party back to it's racist roots.  Look into the American Mirror...top five most racist presidents in history.  That link will surprise you, if you read all the way to the end.  See also, more on the  Bill Clinton/Robert Byrd history.   And if we go all in, we might as well take a look at the president who took the country to a Civil War to right a serious wrong....Abraham Lincoln, a REPUBLICAN!

Historically speaking, the left and the democratic party loses this argument.  bigly.

How shameful, Mr.  President.  How utterly shameful.

I can only imagine how scared the left must be, if the president resorts to going this low.

Guess what, Mr. President?  The world is watching.  And they have an opinion, right, wrong, or indifferent.   But really, as the leader of the free world, where are your scruples?  Where is your UNcommon sense that would tell you to walk away from Hillary, walk away as fast as you can?  Is party that important to you that you would support a total fraud?  What has she really done successfully in public office?  Feel free to pick whichever office you want to start.

But here's you, “You know, there’s a reason we haven’t had a woman president before.”

“I want every man out there who’s voting to kinda look inside yourself and ask yourself, if you’re having problems with this stuff, how much of it is that we’re just not used to it?” he said. “When a guy is ambitious and out in the public arena and working hard, well that’s okay. But when a woman suddenly does it, suddenly you’re all like, well, why’s she doing that?”

wow. Is there like any room to believe that Hillary is just the WRONG woman???

Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes.
Well, I say to them tonight, there's not a liberal America and a conservative America; there's the United States of America

The pundits, the pundits like to slice and dice our country into red states and blue States: red states for Republicans, blue States for Democrats. But I've got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the blue states, and we don't like federal agents poking around our libraries in the red states.
We coach little league in the blue states and, yes, we've got some gay friends in the red states.

There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq, and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq.
We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.

It was circa 2004, when a young Illinois candidate for State Senate gave a memorable Democratic Convention speech on behalf of John Kerry.   But in my humble opinion, the tone and tenor of this speech was long gone by the time Obama would come full circle, becoming the first African-American president of the United States of America.  

 [The speech also lays out the narrative that would ultimately become part and parcel of the sales pitch to America during his first campaign.  Obama's background was carefully crafted, masterminding a masterpiece, never to be questioned or vetted along the way -- especially by the mainstream media.  The progressive media already beginning it's descent into full, unapologetic bias for Leftist policies and candidates.]

The thing is...

MAINSTREAM MEDIA sure thinks alike!   

And they have made their choice this election cycle, for shame, for shame.  

how low can we go.  how low can we go.

There seems to be no separation of the leftist church and state and the propaganda it produces;  the little minions think the same things, say the same things, write the same things...

And at the end of the day, all I can say, I dare you ALL to think for yourself.

Who knows -- it might just be refreshing...liberating; you might even like it.  Or is your allegiance to progressive change in America so great, casting a truly independent thought -- one that just might go against the stream --  totally unimaginable?

I guess time will tell on Tuesday.  

Tuesday will tell us just how many of us actually have an independent thought left to speak of...  

And after careful consideration, after long and arduous mental debate, after assessing the situation, after balancing the pros and cons on the head of a pin, the truth will separate from the lies, and the seas will part, and we will vote our conscience -- a conscience unique and beautiful.  And it will be done even in spite of the variety of intrepid intimidation taking the main stage day in and day out.

It's a Ripple of a Rush Thing

Dear America,

and California is well on it's way.

to think... there was a time when the spirit of the Gold Rush created the future of all possibilities, beginning with industry and ending with the Golden Gate Bridge, the skyline of San Francisco, and the insatiable attraction of people from around the world, complete with the making of a seaport pioneering international economic fortunes and a city built upon pocketfuls of ethnic neighborhoods feeding the frenzy of the wild wild west through the bounty and beauty of free enterprise.

Activists sporting a campaign promoting some kind of "living minimum wage" would have been laughed right out of the saloon and chased to the edge of town.

Considering this girl has had her passion for this campaign cycle ebb and flow much like the Pacific tides, it warms my southern California spirit to see that it might just matter this time around...not that that's saying very much, if proper perspective has it's due.

So for kicks and giggles, let's take a look at what this means --

“some people feel that Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately if he gets in, things will really explode.” 

Asked if she thinks that’s “dangerous,” she replied, 

“It’s dangerous to think that we can continue the way we are with the militarized police force, with privatized prisons, with the death penalty, with the low minimum wage, threats to women’s rights and think you can’t do something huge to turn that around.”

so this is Susan Sarandon, responding to a question during an interview on MSNBC's All In With Chris Hayes -- and quoted in a post @ The Daily Beast, here.

Her point, being a Sanders devotee: that she may even consider pulling the lever for Trump over Hillary!  At least he will bring "the revolution immediately" she ponders, out-loud, and for all within earshot to hear.

“I think, in certain quarters, there’s growing concern that the folks that are into Bernie Sanders have come to despise Hillary Clinton or reject Hillary Clinton and that should she be the nominee, which is as yet undetermined, they will walk away,” Hayes said.

“That’s a legitimate concern,” Sarandon replied. “Because they’re very passionate and principled.”

...And if  "they're very passionate and principled," then what am I?  But I digress.

But just listen to her --

Listen to what she rattles off as her go-to list of top concerns --

• the militarized police force, 
• with privatized prisons, 
• with the death penalty, 
• with the low minimum wage, 
• threats to women’s rights 

Yes, these are dangerous times, Susan, and just listen to the Leftist talking points marching to the beat right on cue.

So -- being a girl of passion and principle, too -- here's my list:

• Radicalized Islamic terrorists...from lone rogue attacks to the highly organized group efforts, formerly recognized under the names of ISIS, al Queda, Hamas, Hezbollah, boko haram,.. 
• A nuclearized Iran, with no economic sanctions and no boundaries
• Women's rights in the Middle East, Africa, and just maybe even in the United States and Europe...any neighborhood where Islam and Sharia law reign together, enslaving women from birth.
• Education in America -- indoctrinating our children with a liberal, leftist ideology and erasing the fundamental principles and duties and responsibilities as citizens from the curriculum.
• Losing the fundamentals of our free enterprising spirit -- from wages to growth to taxation, the culture has lost our way....it's somewhere between crony capitalism and the dreams of creating a liberal utopia....I blame it on the left turn when we should have taken a right.

[and PS I happen to like the death penalty -- the problem is we don't actually use it, making it no longer a deterrent or influence preventing harm against humanity as the law was originally designed.]

But let's regroup, shall we?

I take issue with the realization that Susan Sarandon believes she just might vote for Trump over Hillary.  What a rip.

That is a real problem.

It makes me all tied up in knots, as I bear witness to my passion -- now, well on it's way on the ebb of the sparkling azure tide bubbling over my toes and out to sea.  ugh.

If California matters, then we are all in for a world of hurt.  

Now, the reality is...it's a dead heat.  Emphasis on dead -- which may, come to think of it, be a first in perspective.  

But make no mistake -- we are witnessing a slow death to America.  The passionate fight for all things America stands for -- principles and all -- is being drowned out by irrational, emotional liberal activists...ah who are we kidding, SOCIALISTS...  

IN the midst of this self-inflicted enthusiasm gap, I'm gonna  close the day with this:

It's a Bombardment of Blurry Political Lines Thing

Dear America,

pass out a pistol to everyone.

What --  are you bonkers?

Yes,

yes I am.

But wouldn't the natural deterrent change perceptions when  illicit intentions are brewing?  When we know that every single one of us has one -- wouldn't this be the kind of  protective underpinnings of personal security to the masses every responsible, self-reliant, responsible, liberated, responsible, freedom-loving, responsible, soul must carry?

RESPONSIBLE

: having the job or duty of dealing with or taking care of something or someone

: able to be trusted to do what is right or to do the things that are expected or required

: involving important duties, decisions, etc., that you are trusted to do

yes indeed.

In a perfect world -- the thing is -- we want everyone to take responsibility for their own life and the lives of others very seriously.

Now, switching fronts on the fly, we have talked obsessively about this idea of deterrence in g-land -- for on the world stage, a country that screams major threat within without uttering a single syllable usually stands.   And stands strong ..secure...untouchable...on a rock...fully capable of protecting its citizens without firing a single bullet.  Nobody wants to touch that.

Campaigning for president, a Senator Obama had many grandiose ideas; unbeknownst to many, however, his notions packed with magic potions to change everything came with a lifetime of contempt for this kind of strength, this kind of exceptionalism, this kind of capitalism, this kind of religious liberty, this kind of history, this kind of tradition...you name it, he pretty much hated it.

It was all destined to be fundamentally changed -- and in what would turn out to be two terms and five days when all said and done.

This is serious stuff, folks.

If we actually take it all in with an objective eye, we not only haven't moved forward anywhere in America, but if we have the courage to look beyond our borders....

Interesting is a post from Real Clear Politics...covering a "foreign policy showdown" on CNBC, with Home Depot founder Kenneth Langone and NBC's chief foreign policy correspondent Richard Engel.  In the conversation, Langone pressed Engel on answering a simple question: name me one country where relations have improved under Obama [you know, having made it perfectly clear during his campaign, he had all the fixes to correct  America's reputation of being an imperialistic, militaristic, capitalistic, materialistic, going ballistic brute].

Finally, Engel mutters this: "yeah, I think you would be hard pressed to find that."   And he gets a chance to expand on that; and if you care to read it, go here.

Let's see -- you wanna be the country of  "Peace through Weakness" or "Peace through Strength?"

Let's have Charles Krauthammer complete the circle for us, shall we? -- from Fox News with Bret Baier:

"I spoke to a member of Congress who was in the armed forces and he said there was a real pettiness and a personalization of this."

"It was not a place where you -- you know, you want to be inspiring the future officers of America, it isn't a place to answer your critics or to go point by point against all the attacks on him. And he set out this ridiculous contrast between extreme isolationism on the one hand, and extreme, almost a caricature of intervention, on the other hand

yes indeed.

The president graced the cadets with his presence --
as the Commander in Chief who's sole purpose in that moment is to honor

the audience chock full of pure grit, determination, courage, and strength ....

an audience of the smartest, sharpest tools in the American shed....

an audience having consciously chosen to honor America and all 300 million of us, to serve, risking life and limb, and do whatever is asked of them in the coming years ahead (and dare we note, walking into a very mixed up, wacky world, to boot)  --

and what does this president do?  Make it about him?

It might as well have been written on pleading paper and turned into the court of public opinion with copies filed at the Department of Defense.

Way to go, Mr. President; way to emasculate the bunch (including the girls, BTW) --   "just because we have the best hammer does not mean that every problem is a nail."

Inspiring, isn't it.

He seems so confused; taking in the entire speech -- faced with such a foreign policy conundrum -- he made a convincing argument sounding guilty of completely wanting it both ways; and to top it off, having really no idea how to really pull that off.

Looking forward --  and spinning this great responsibility to protect and to serve to the next president of the United States -- a window has opened.

Much like this West Point speech fiasco, Hillary's Benghazi defense takes an entire chapter in her new book hellbent on simply explaining herself, responding to her critics with what seems to be an answer to the world.

Making a direct hit against the "what difference at this point does it make" comment on the Hill, well it would seem, Hill. aligning to be the 2016-superpower-candidate-you-wanna-be full stop, to make a big, fat, self-serving, bloody difference for you now, doesn't it.

[And she has the gall to continue to cling to the video story line, at least, in part, in a 'we really have no idea' kind of way when in fact we do!]

RESPONSIBILITY

: able to be trusted to do what is right or to do the things that are expected or required

AND THEN...

Take full responsibility for whatever happens when things don't go as expected or required.

More important, what do you mean, if these allegations prove to be true?  The deplorable treatment of our veterans, wait lists and all, have been a problem for decades.  And you, Mr. President, have not only known about this, but you have for the first time made it a priority ...at least since 2012.... having made this kind of commitment as early as 2007.

I get it.

All you have to do, Mr. President, is ask for Shinseki's resignation and the scandal instantly becomes a distant memory.

It's a Speak, Pray, Fight Thing

Dear America,

this might seem random... but since when has that ever stopped me :)

let's begin with an excerpt from William Wilberforce, Real Christianity -- a revised and updated version by Bob Beltz:

Wilberforce, being influenced back in the day to take up the charge by an old friend, John Newton.   And Newton, oddly enough, being a former slave trader -- and author of one of the most beautiful songs in the hymnal, if not the whole world, "Amazing Grace."

"Seeking always to be salt and light within his culture, Wilberforce worked with many people who did not share his Christian worldview..."  Beltz begins with a compilation of accolades, as he sets the tone for the masterpiece we are about to read.

For Wilberforce believed,  "it is the true duty of every man to promote the happiness of his fellow creatures to the utmost of his power."   And he went on to do just that, authentically, never afraid to stand up for what is truly right and good and decent for all.

This thing called Obamacare --
a travesty of America's health care industry, our free market, justice, equality, freedom, and especially the pursuit of happiness, was designed by a think tank, years in the making, with thousands of pages of regulations and controls and mandates and fines, to fundamentally enslave us all.

It's as if we are each bearing witness to the most stunning acts of American history right before our eyes; the final straw on the camel's back has been laid to rest, to disrupt, destroy and bankrupt America's authentic landscape from sea to shining sea, through a massive federal entitlement, elevating the redistribution of wealth to a level unseen and unimaginable.

And it's the Tea Party Patriots who are attacked and labeled the fanatics -- and in every possible vile and slanderous way?

I will, this day, wholeheartedly agree with Wilberforce: "it is the true duty of every man to promote the happiness of his fellow creatures to the utmost of his power." 

Speak, pray, fight, without ceasing.

Stand up for what is truly right and good and decent and true.

Who are the obstructionists?
Let me define what we are really experiencing right now -- it's called a hostile takeover of one-sixth of our economy* against the people's will.   Other people might call it a coup -- masterminded by the highly radicalized, fanatical, progressive, community organizers in office.

When just a few hours ago we get something like this, out of Reuters:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama stressed to congressional leaders on Wednesday that he will not negotiate with Republicans over a government shutdown or raising the U.S. debt limit, the White House said.

After more than an hour of talks at the White House that did not lead to a breakthrough, the White House issued a statement saying that Obama remains hopeful that "common sense will prevail" in the budget standoff.

"The president made clear to the leaders that he is not going to negotiate over the need for Congress to act to reopen the government or to raise the debt limit to pay the bills Congress has already incurred," the White House said.

So at the risk of repeating myself these days,

Obama can unilaterally waive certain parts of Obamacare, without so much as a flinch from the press, without such exemptions/exceptions legally supported by a vote in congress, and without any legal, constitutional authority to do anything of the kind...and yet he claims, buried in hypocrisy and mocking his own illegitimate motions, "it is settled."

Obama can unilaterally decide what parts of our U.S. Immigration law to heed or abolish or ignore...

But the House of Representatives can't negotiate on behalf of the American people with him, the Senate, on any part of it -- even to simply delay it or to mandate all federal employees, including congress and the president, to use it?  

Back to more current events, as in back at the Rose Garden, Tuesday...It's almost as if he believes he rules America akin to being a king.  [That link leads you to an official transcript on the day]

The Affordable Care Act is a law that passed the House; it passed the Senate.  The Supreme Court ruled it constitutional.  It was a central issue in last year’s election.  It is settled, and it is here to stay.  And because of its funding sources, it’s not impacted by a government shutdown...

 So I’ll speak more on this in the coming days, but let me repeat:  I will not negotiate over Congress’s responsibility to pay bills it’s already racked up.  I’m not going to allow anybody to drag the good name of the United States of America through the mud just to refight a settled election or extract ideological demands.  Nobody gets to hurt our economy and millions of hardworking families over a law you don’t like.

It was made law through acts of treason against the freedoms and liberties of the American people, while being severely, forcibly, passed through the halls of congress on lies, manipulation, and political process steeped in one-upmanship and corruption.

[Remember, Obamacare was never sold to the American people as a tax -- otherwise it never would have passed congress and the president would have had to take back this: "I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes." circa 2008]

It is settled, my oh my...the audacity.

Just love that part about, "and because of its funding sources, it's not impacted by a government shutdown."  Oh that is rich -- in an obscene, vulgar kind of way.  Oh but the Army/Navy game is?  A game already fully paid for, and cancelled for political gain merely to punish us and lambaste the GOP?

Oh you mean the funding sources such as stealing 716 Billion from Medicare -- or were you thinking more of the highly destructive tax resource, projected to come from the sale of medical devices? Or is the reality more like telling the American people a total funding lie -- considering the latest projection coming from the CBO to be three times its original cost?

Going backwards before we move forward:  Someday we should revisit that thing called the current immigration law through the myopic presidential lens who believes "nobody gets to hurt our economy and millions of hardworking families over a law you don't like" -- you know,  considering it's coming from the same president confident in orchestrating exemptions on the fly, by Executive Order, and hence unilaterally dragging  "the good name of the United States of America through the mud just to refight a settled election or extract ideological demands" fully determined to elevate an immigration policy of  lawlessness.

And in the 'I'll show you what power I have at my fingertips to make it hurt until the GOP caves into my demands...' department -- THIS.


At what point is a law settled?

Don't we have an immigration policy, supported by immigration law, just like every other country in the world?   Wouldn't our illegal immigration woes be solved simply by following the settled, bonafide, immigration laws already on the books?  It is settled, right? 

Why do we keep revisiting this law as if the law, itself, does not exist? 

How can a president arbitrarily decide what law he will follow, and what law he will not -- and then turn around and tell actual lawmakers they have no jurisdiction to revisit the law at all?   I think the president should revisit PoliSci 101.  And this guy specializes in Constitutional Law?  He refuses to enforce parts of a law!

We fought a revolutionary war to settle taxation without representation; we fought a civil war to settle -- abolish -- slavery.   Cue the fight against Obamacare --  overfloweth with taxation, enslavement, redistribution of wealth, mandates to purchase health care or pay a tax, and facing a trajectory that kills our free market, forces a very unpopular failure and eventual loss of the availability of private insurance and individual PRIVACY, strains doctors and staff, rations care (death panels), with plans intending to end with a single payer, socialized medicine entitlement for all... even if it kills us.  Let's settle this once for all.

"It is the true duty of every man

History proves, it still requires the duty of every man to promote the happiness of his fellow creatures, by way of holding to a certain moral standard, holding to a certain level of genuine, authentic, decency and goodness and lawfulness.   It's a duty and responsibility we each hold and owe to each other.

Obamacare jeopardizes the general happiness for us all -- and with every ounce of power and might, we must fight as if our lives depend on it.

Three days before Wilberforce died, British Parliament passed a law abolishing slavery throughout the entire empire...

It was the year 1787 where I began the day taking a cue from a page in his diary; it was the same year as our Constitution Convention in America.

One thing more before we bid adieu --
Under the heading WHITE HOUSE REJECTED A REQUEST...

Even though the WWII Memorial is wide open to the public by design, a place to stroll come any time of day or night ---  even though it is constructed on federal property, it was funded almost entirely by private gifts -- even though it has no doors -- even though the partial government slim down, including national parks, officially closed national parks.... the government SPENT money to multiply the number of guards and add barry-cades and miles of yellow crime scene tape and threatened to arrest anyone who might cross...including bus loads of Honor Flight Veterans from WWII! ...... And dragged into the mud...   

We can't keep it open (even though it's always open) but we can afford to use whatever means necessary to keep people out...seriously?   As if any of that makes any sense.   And we are to have confidence in this government taking over one-sixth of the economy, as well as have control over our own personal health care?

Upon morning light, they invaded again , this time singing a round of "Amazing Grace."

What a beautiful song.

Consider it fuel for - what might just be - a long, long fight ahead; the call of duty is truly great.

The comparison is ridiculously ripe with irony, inconsistency and hypocrisy -- if, the fine gentleman from Arizona were to find himself courageous enough to look at the real world in America, now fully under the spell of the Obama regime, alongside a dueling, incompetent, misguided,  bevy of elitist ruling congress and adversely affecting the Rule of Law and good self-government from the top down.  It's like, John, have you any idea what's going on here at home?

I just love the tally of tweets in the margin, suspiciously holding at a healthy round number of nothing but nyet.

Let's "stop the political posturing;" how 'bout we give that a try?

And that's just another idiotic thing to say.

We are always, in all ways, posturing ourselves with political, ideological leanings.  Some of us, so much so, we find ourselves totally bent over and up our own ass, like a certain John McCain, or like a Barack Obama, or like a Vladimir Putin.   Naturally, at some point, we get lost in the realm of manufacturing our own bull.

Even the latest brouhaha over Warren Buffet's comments on Obamacare is something of a rouse.  His comments came in 2010!   It's only because a place called Money Morning highlighted the remarks when addressing concerns on what is on the economic, market savvy, horizon -- which, lo and behold, is now three years later and looking like the fraudulent "affordable" care act is about to become lock, stock and barrel, the law.   But if you want to rehash the old news, here's a good cog in the blogs to log.

Yeah, cuz scraping Obamacare and starting over is just crazy talk...

'but thanks for your all support, Buffy, now sit back and watch the prophet of profiting upon propaganda do his thing...'

Indeed, still going strong and moving forward and going on five years now.

Well maybe our leaders have forgotten the secret back behind the excellence and exceptionalism of America's wealth --  both in sickness and in health -- but our citizenry have not.  A yahoo! survey just the other day asked this question:  "What's better for society?  --  If wealthy give money to charity, to help create business, or to pay more taxes?"   The tally at the time showed a 10% going with charity, 27% to paying more in taxes, and a whopping 63% to the creation of new business!

We believe in the value of people creating their own happiness and wealth with less government and more private ownership, accountability, freedom and liberty.   At our very core, we believe in the government getting out of the way, still.

'What we have now

is untenable over time,'

 said Buffett,

 an early supporter of President Obama.

 'That kind of a cost

compared to the rest of the world

is really like a tapeworm eating,

you know, at our economic body.'  

just to quote The Weekly Standard

quoting Buffet

"Untenable," he says. Like a tapeworm eating at the economic body...

Not defendable.

Not suitable for occupation.

And most likely not covered under Obamacare.

So forward march to the organic, sarin, newly remodeled, solar infused, gas chambers we go -- speaking ironically, of course. [see here for a little lesson on sarin, from HuffPo; and thank you Nazis circa 1938]

Now, as many of my regular readers know, my personal life has hit a serious rough patch these days, and with good reason; but whining about it ad nauseam isn't going to help.  Even I know, to deny reality is to deny creating a life outside of a living a lie. 

In order to move forward, I must first live with two feet upon a sound foundation: the truth.

Only then can I make true steps forward, revealing the next level in God's plan.  If I get stuck gnawing on all the things that are not working, running incongruent to my overall health and general welfare, like a tapeworm eating away at my soul,  how does that feed my spirit?  How does that serve me, my family, in high hopes of fulfilling my dreams and life's purpose, large and small?

The truth shall set me free.

And let this be a lesson for all of us, America.

We are living in a land of lies -- false truths that sound good --  make believe of all kinds, and tragically demanding us to make a choice between two sides when neither of which seem to be beholden to the real, genuine truth.  We seem so confused as to which leg to stand on these days, we all fall down.

And yet, this president has the audacity to call the opposition -- those of us reading the tea leaves, the writing on the wall, back to the future and back again, and just about anyone and everyone who have the courage to stand on a soap box to sharply disagree -- the extremists!?    Unbelievable.

I am so unnerved, sarin must be to blame.

It's no exaggeration when I say I think this president is snuffing the life out of all of us.

And believe I'll just leave it at that.

It's a Lightening Quick Response on a Day in the Life of America Thing

Dear America,

so yesterday's incident in the Rose Garden was quite something.

considering the breadth and depth of issues covered within a reasonably short period of time -- in the rain, no less -- my intent this morning is simply to hone in on the words of the president, coming towards the end of his prepared remarks... before the Prime Minister of Turkey spoke to the crowd...and long before questions from the press...

why?

because I marvel at the audacity of it all.

Now without further adieu, to the president [note: G taking creative liberty to color my favorite snippets]:

So, again, Mr. Prime Minister, I want to thank you for being here and for being such a strong ally and partner in the region and around the world. I know that Michelle appreciates the opportunity to host Mrs. Erdoğan and your two wonderful daughters this morning. I'm looking forward to our dinner tonight. And, as always, among the topics where I appreciate your advice is close to our hearts, and that's how to raise our daughters well. You're a little ahead of me in terms of their ages.

With the Prime Minister's permission, I want to make one other point. There's been intense discussion in Congress lately around the attacks in Benghazi. We lost four brave Americans, patriots who accepted the risks that come with service because they know that their contributions are vital to our national interests and national security.

I am intent on making sure that we do everything we can to prevent another tragedy like this from happening. But that means we owe it to them and all who serve to do everything in our power to protect our personnel serving overseas. That's why, at my direction, we've been taking a series of steps that were recommended by the review board after the incident. We're continuing to review our security at high-threat diplomatic posts, including the size and nature of our presence; improving training for those headed to dangerous posts; increasing intelligence and warning capabilities. And I've directed the Defense Department to ensure that our military can respond lightning quick in times of crisis.

But we're not going to be able to do this alone. We're going to need Congress as a partner. So I've been in discussions, and my team has been in discussions, with both Democrats and Republicans, and I'm calling on Congress to work with us to support and fully fund our budget request to improve the security of our embassies around the world. We also need Congress to work with us to provide the resources and new authorities so we can fully implement all of the recommendations of the Accountability Review Board. And we're going to need Congress's help in terms of increasing the number of our Marine Corps Guard who protect our embassies.

So I want to say to members of Congress in both parties, we need to come together and truly honor the sacrifice of those four courageous Americans and better secure our diplomatic posts around the world. And I should add, by the way, that we're getting some help from the Turkish government on some of these issues. That's how we learn the lessons of Benghazi. That's how we can keep faith with the men and women who we send overseas to represent America. And that's what I will stay focused on as Commander-in-Chief.

So with that, Mr. Prime Minister, welcome to the United States. I'm sorry the weather is not fully cooperating with our lovely Rose Garden press conference, but I think we'll be okay.

Let's begin with the words, "as Commander-in-Chief," shall we?

As "Commander-in-Chief" --  my first inclination is to hammer you until you respond with the truth As To where you were the night of September 11, 2012; because AS it stands, an horrific rumor to the effect, you were sound asleep, has been broadcasted worldwide.   As "Commander-in-Chief" you laid down the law before retiring for the evening -- citing no military action -- leaving personnel under the "Commander-in-Chief" in charge.

Given what we know now -- the "Commander-in-Chief" was no there, there.

You can call in the marines to cover your head (and naturally, the ass that comes with) while standing  in the rain with the Prime Minister of Turkey -- but sending in the reinforcements for immediate help in Benghazi, that would be a no.  TO send military and security reinforcements leading up to the terrorist attack -- per direct requests by boots on the ground in Libya --  that would be a no.  There is no there, there, we got your back in a no man left behind kind of way, is there.  Is there, Mr. President?

And this part -- compiling the "lost four brave Americans" of Benghazi as  "patriots who accepted the risks that come with service."    Wow.  The "fog of war" is making you sound more twisted on Benghazi as time goes by -- what the &$*% is that?  Oh, how quickly you move through disbelief, anger, shock and awe and somehow arrive at 'oh well, they knew what they signed up for' stage.  That is just amazing.  And not to be outdone or overlooked the great irony before us -- that you, yourself, have never accepted the risks that come with military service and yet there, there, you are -- "Commander-in-Chief" standing in the rain with one of the nation's finest Marine coming to the immediate aid of your head on a moment's notice.

And then, can't help but notice you still can't say it, can you?

After all we have been through -- after all the bickering of the debates back and forth -- after so much "ado about nothing"  -- you STILL can't call it what it really is.

It was a terrorist attack at the hands of Islamic Extremists!

It's NOT your every day "tragedy;" and my God, man -- "the incident"?  

An incident might look more like a shoe being thrown to the head of the Leader of the Free World -- but an all out terrorist attack, planned for the anniversary of September 11th, that killed four Americans - including the first Ambassador in decades, and carried out by Islamic Extremists that have a real name attached -- Ansar al-Sharia?  Um that is no longer categorized as an "incident."  That, Mr. President and "Commander-in-Chief" is called an Act of War.

The manufacture of a lie outside of the realm of any truth was to save your sorry re-election.  And along those lines, the IRS deliberately withheld the information until after the election...but we quickly digress.

Suffice it to day, every thing, thing to date as been a travesty of law and duty and honor and truth.   And for what?

So that eight months down the road, after months of dodging the truth like a soldier going AWOL, after the night of the non-event, the incident itself when the "Commander-in-Chief" was no where, where to be found, after getting his forty winks before showing up for a campaign extravaganza in Vegas without a care in the world -- this is where we are at? ...."I've directed the Defense Department to ensure that our military can respond lightning quick in times of crisis."

Yeah, that should do it. 

But more important -- are you delusional?  Like is that "lightning quick response" supposed to be any different than where we were eight months ago?

Eight years ago, eight months ago, eight days ago, eight minutes ago -- our Defense Department assures us that our military IS the best in the world and can respond "lightening quick in time of crisis." It's what they do.

Hold up -- allow me to be more clear -- this "preparedness" factor is nothing new; it's not some kind of innovation out of the new age of science and math; it's certainly not some kind of newly charged policy, an Obama Doctrine generated from the desk of the "Commander-in-Chief" out of the blue.   

Oh the audacity.

And then there, there is this...

How can you stand in the rain and claim to be the "commander" of anything when you, in fact, deny knowing everything until it hits the New York Times?

Are you really telling us that you are that irrelevant to the running of this country at this present time?  Seriously?  Is that where you want to settle in and bunker down and sit as the "Commander-in-Chief"?  You coward.

Good luck with that --- guess it's just the risk you take.
Oooh, and almost forgot, hope that dinner chatting about your girls was really yummy [nice pull on the heartstrings, there, there -- YOU ARE just like us.   wink, wink].

It's a Clash of the Old and New World Thing

Dear America,

It's what happens when pro-choice and pro-life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness meet, the Marco Rubio way --  (allow me to explain, using his own words):

Let me close by saying this. For many of us who were born and raised in this country, including me, it's sometimes easy -- sometimes easy to forget how special America really is. But I was raised by exiles, by people who know what it is like to lose their country, by people who have a unique perspective on why elections matter, or lack thereof, by people who clearly understand how different America is from the rest of the world. And they've taught me this my whole life.

And they taught me, by word and by deed, that what makes America great is not that we have more rich people than anybody else. What makes America great is that there are dreams that are impossible everywhere else but are possible here. And why is that? It's because of the choices that people that came before us made.

Almost every other country in the world chose to have the government run the economy. They chose to allow government to decide which companies survive and fail. They chose to allow government to determine which industries are to be rewarded. But the problem is that when government controls the economy, those who can influence government keep winning, and everybody else just stays the same. And so in those countries, the employee never becomes the employer, the small business can never compete with a big business, and no matter how hard your parents work or how many sacrifices they make, if you weren't born into the right family in those countries, there's only so far you can go.

Now, we've had our excesses here in America, but for the better part of 234 years, Americans have chosen something very different, Americans chose individual liberty instead of the false security of government. Americans chose a limited government that exists to protect our rights, not to grant them.

 Americans chose a free enterprise system designed to provide a quality of opportunity, not compel a quality of results. And that is why this is the only place in the world where you can open up a business in the spare bedroom of your home.

That is why this is the only place in the world where a company that started as an idea drawn out on the back of a cocktail napkin can one day be publicly traded on Wall Street. That's why this is the only country in the world where today's employee is tomorrow's employer. And yet, there are still people in American politics who, for some reason, cling to this belief that America is better off adopting the economic policies of nations whose people who immigrate here from there.

 The final verdict on our generation will be written by Americans who haven't even been born yet. Let us make sure they write that we made the right choice, that in the early years of this century, faced with troubling and uncertain times, there were those who believed that the great American story had run its course. But we did not agree. Fear did not lead us to abandon our liberty. Uncertainty did not lead us to abandon the entrepreneurial spirit. We fought for and held on to those things that made us exceptional. And because we did, there was still one place in the world where the individual was more important than the state. Because we did, there was still at least one place in the world where who you come from does not determine where you get to go.

Looking back, America has made poor choices  -- one, by electing Barack Obama, and two, re-electing Barack Obama.

But let's get one thing straight:   America was bamboozled.

Conservative media and popular websites are currently affixed upon a campaign video dating back to Obama's first campaign;  the Fraud-in-Chief was so convincing, and so affirmative in his disgust, way back when...


"The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up the national debt from 5 trillion for the first 42 presidents — number 43 added 4 trillion dollars by his lonesome, so that we now have 9 trillion dollars of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic."


And even as a Senator, Obama was pontificating about the recklessness of such a path.  This is from MARCH 2006   (and while I would love to tell you I found it all by myself, I didn't -- my papa passed this little gem off to me in an email weeks ago....it was just waiting for the right moment in time to present itself, taking notes from a master and commander.  xoxoMDC)  so here you go:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.  It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills.  It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies.  Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally.  Leadership means that, 'the buck stops here.'  Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.  America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.  Americans deserve better."

He said, "America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership."

And then,  as if all that isn't enough to question our choices, here is our president -- just yesterday -- talking to George Stephanopoulos:

"Well- I understand.
Which is why, at some point, I think I take myself out of this. Right now, what I'm trying to do is create an atmosphere where Democrats and Republicans can go ahead, get together, and try to get something done. And, y- you know- I think what's important to recognize is that- we've already cut- $2.5- $2.7 trillion out of the deficit. If the sequester stays in, you've got over $3.5 trillion of deficit reduction already.
Um, say what?   First, what you just said is a lie; you have not shown ANY REAL CUTS in the deficit, and you won't, until real numbers prove it.  But second, what is this :   "If the sequester stays in, you've got over $3.5 trillion of deficit reduction already." 

Um, but whatever, let's keep going...What do you mean, Mr. President?  Have you lost  your mind, I mean, the urge to put the fear of God into all Americans over the sequester cuts, as if NOW, at least on this day, for this audience, you consider these cuts to be a good thing and a complete benefit to you, and maybe all of America?  How can you sit there and count them 'in' when every day for the last two weeks you have demagogued the GOP for letting them happen?

And, so, we don't have an immediate crisis in terms of debt. WHAT?  

In fact, for the next ten years, it's gonna be in a sustainable place. WHAT THE...??  

The question is, can we do it smarter, can we do it better? And- you know, what I'm saying to them is I am prepared to do some tough stuff. BUT YOU'RE NOT prepared to do the tough stuff...you just said "at some point" you will take yourself out of this...(see preceding remarks, you can't miss it)    Neither side's gonna get 100%. That's what the American people are lookin' for. That's what's gonna be good for jobs. That's what's gonna be good for growth."

Oh, and here's a good one:

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: And he said he's challenging you to come forward with a budget that also reaches balance. Are you gonna do that?

 

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: No.

...And then goes into cutting Paul Ryan's balanced budget to pieces... just go to read it here.

But then George picks it up right back up again (hardcore journalism at it's best):

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Balanced by any point?

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: -that he's put before. No. I think that there is a possibility. Look, balancing the budget in part depends on how fast you grow. You remember- you were in the Clinton administration. The reason that you guys balanced it was a combination of some tax hikes, some spending cuts, and the economy grew.

 

And, so- you know, my goal is not to chase- a balanced budget just for the sake of balance. My goal is how do we grow the economy, put people back to work, and if we do that we're gonna be bringin' in more revenue. If we've controlled spending and we've got a smart entitlement package, then potentially what you have is balance. But it's not balance on the backs of, you know, the poor, the elderly, students who need student loans, families who've got disabled kids. That's not the right way to balance-

...Yeah, what's the fun in chasing a balanced budget for the sake of balance....fiscal solvency, a decent credit rating, and presenting a solid economic footing to create the very conditions for a prosperous future for our children and grand children?

But let's not quibble over fives and dimes, right.

How about this line?

"And, so, we don't have an immediate crisis in terms of debt."
Oh, okay.

In 2006, we apparently had an immediate crisis in terms of debt, "shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren" and everything.

In 2008, we apparently had an immediate crisis in terms of debt, and called such recklessness "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic."

In 2009, adding one more quote for good measure -- the president actually said this:

"I refuse to leave our children with a debt they cannot repay," he said in remarks opening the one-day summit at the White House. "We cannot and will not sustain deficits like these without end. ... We cannot simply spend as we please."

Of course, in 2009, he was just kicking in the propaganda stream to get his Obamacare into legislation, to become law.  His selling point then -- pledging to cut the 1.3 Trillion dollar deficit IN HALF! before the end of his FIRST term.   As the CNN post explains, "[Obama] identified exploding health-care costs as the chief culprit behind rising federal deficits..."

[But then! went on to create a brand new entitlement program -- one that is set to cripple the health care industry for life; one that forces the very essence and principles of the FREE MARKET to become fully extinguished by virtue of big government and the nanny state; all the while, stealing 710 BILLION dollars from Medicare to fund it and having the CBO re-calculate its total costs and finding out it will cost taxpayers three times as much -- at 2.7 TRILLION dollars!   For the full story, go here.]   ...reminding all of us to beware of fine print...and just maybe we should all beware the Ides of March...just sayin'

Today, we are still running  1.3 trillion dollar deficits; and instead of cutting the deficit in half, instead of adding 4 trillion dollars to our national debt over eight years (or 2 trillion in four), as his predecessor, OBAMA added SIX TRILLION in debt over his first four years (and is currently running on a trajectory to 22 trillion before he finishes his second term).

I guess we could say it's whole new world for President Obama in today's context.   Or, perhaps in the old world --  of 2006, 2008, 2009 -- he was just being a wee bit disingenuous with all of us (just a nice way to say, he fibbed and bamboozled his way into office and through the power of free choice, and American liberty, he got to stay there for four more years).

But make no mistake:   We chose a fraud and a liar in 2008; and no surprise, surprise, once again in 2012.  

2016 awaits, but at this point, it surely can't come fast enough.

The thing is, we don't necessarily have to be led by a tyrant to experience tyranny;  while  history proves time and time again, ideology masquerading as progressive never equates to real progress.

So let's go back to something Rubio said:

"We fought for and held on to those things that made us exceptional. And because we did, there was still one place in the world where the individual was more important than the state. And "it's all because of the choices that people that came before us made."

Speaking of progress --  reading headlines over the last couple of days makes me wonder what century we have dropped into:  Introducing Francis,  the first pope from the "New World."   wow.  Does the queen know about it yet?

And this one...leftover from yesterday, or the day before...believe it to be a combination of the pony express having sequester delays and me toiling in the back forty collecting beans, so forgive me if it's old news to you:  "Obama couldn't eat at Hill meeting without food taster."  alrighty then,  henry the eighth I am, I am.   If every Senator in the room was eating the lobster salad with blueberry pie  -- me thinks it was okay.  But what's with that, anyway?  LOBSTER?   The White House cancels WHITE HOUSE tours, cuts military tuition assistance (see here)  and all things that instantly make our skin crawl with disdain on just the pettiness factor alone, but LOBSTER?    Catered lunches, dinner's out, fresh flowers, private jets, should all be slashed -- at least in half, before the end of the day.

And yet NO WHITE HOUSE STAFF has been adversely affected by the sequester, as yet.  Can you just imagine having a 711 MILLION dollar annual budget for your company?  Think about it.  Dream about it until I see you again...
