It's a Beautiful Thing...Hindsight

Dear America,

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?...You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."  Matthew 7:3-5

we are really good at judging what other people do or say, no?

perhaps because we get a kick out of it, we take dominion over another's actions or words, and in some twisted way it makes us feel better, smarter, we just point the finger and click...especially these days, when our responses can almost be instantaneously binged across the globe.  take that.

While the ability to ban together -- in protest on city streets....or on-line, taking the term pile on to a whole 'nother level...and even divided by common interests: political party, political correctness, political propaganda -- allows great judgmental power to ebb and flow freely.

All this blog does, really, is judge one thing or another -- so believe me when I say, I get it.  And more than that, this girl believes wholeheartedly, that if we are respectful of all sides and all opinions and all beliefs and all possible answers to the questions we face, there is a place for it.  Matter of fact, it MUST be done as our civic duty;  it  MUST be said, as to live in integrity makes it so; it MUST be judged, in order for us to discern and learn of our mistakes and our successes.  And besides, to do so otherwise, we become deaf, dumb and blind tools of a vicious trade and wind up under the unwieldy, unyielding, unrelenting oppression of a tyrannical big government.

That being said, hindsight is something to behold, eh?

In hindsight, we can say things like, should've have taken that turn...
In hindsight, we can say things like, probably shouldn't have eaten the whole thing...
In hindsight, we can say things like, should have listened to my mother...

Hindsight can be rough territory, for it casts a spotlight on that which, more often than not, on the things we wudda, shudda cudda done instead, and didn't.

And let the judgment begin, right?

Like this whole business with the Russian hacking and the Clinton loss and the Trump win.

In hindsight -- and under the glaring light of no evidence today -- there was no direct influence to the outcome of the 2016 presidential election by the Russians.  The Left is only holding onto this lie, because, in hindsight, they cannot believe Hillary lost to the Donald, and at the same time, wish to de-legitimize his presidency.

What they should be considering -- in hindsight -- is that their candidate sucked.

She lied under oath, she manipulated the truth in Benghazi, she lied about her private server, she lied about sending TOP SECRET confidential correspondence on her personal email, she manipulated the truth about the Clinton Foundation and funds received from various countries of oh, how shall we say, with rather sordid diplomatic histories with the United States...does this girl really need to go on?  Because I can.  My judgment on this runs wide and deep; not to be confused with deep state territory, but it could be, if you give me enough time.

Oh sure, the Democrats sure picked a good one, indeed and thank you.

And no, this doesn't mean that Republicans are off the hindsight hook, not on your life....

In both hindsight and under the old G thing microscope, the GOP has a House full of issues, and a Senate nearly not worth a darn, let alone the debt they make.  Just how on earth could this congressional moment be left in the hands of such weenies?   Which is funny,  for a number of reasons, not precluding the obvious (teehee); but breaking out the root of the word, from my handy dandy American Heritage Dictionary:  ween means: "To think it possible."  And yet, a weeny, is defined as tiny, a wee bit as often said here...

Oh the irony.

The case in point is what is happening, an exhausting seven years later, in the Obamacare Repeal.

In hindsight, looking simply at what we pay these yahoos for -- how come the GOP is not ready and waiting to pounce on this opportunity, like yesterday, like January 22nd?  This girl stands with every gripe-y whine-y grimace of disgust on the American people's faces (at least, the half that voted Trump into office for this reason and many more...)

In hindsight, this reaction should not be something that catches any of you in Congress by surprise, right?   You guys knew this is what we wanted; you guys knew we wouldn't except anything less, and yet you play this pathetic game with the other side as if we owe them some kind of reciprocal courtesy?   Can I just remind you all how we felt when they stuffed this tongue depressing legislation down our throats without one republican vote?????????

It should be all for one and one for all right now -- speaking to you, John McCain...speaking to you Lindsey Graham...speaking to you Paul Ryan...speaking to you Mitch McConnell....speaking to you Mike Lee....speaking to you Rand Paul....and if I had the time and space, this girl would just be rattling everybody's name off, one after the other....

THIS IS THE TIME not to judge one another, but to judge and criticize the legislation.

In the first stroke, simply take it away (Obamacare).  And in the second stroke, replace it with the things that work -- the things of agreement and  consensus -- for these are the things that should stay (and, you would think, seven years of hindsight should tells us everything we need to know!) and then promptly, burn the memory of Obamacare from your minds.  And then!  Bring confidence back to the American people by communicating directly, and clearly, and to the point of drowning out the other side -- how the stages of returning this abomination of legislation back to zero and starting over, was the only way to begin, even if we must go through a little rough territory to see it through.

Hindsight tells us so; for this is about saving lives, an industry, and quite possibly, our future.

Remind the American people -- over and over and over again -- that it was the Left, Obama and the democrats, who created this mess; remind them --- over and over and over again -- that there was not one republican in agreement with this legislation.  And ask the American people, if perhaps hindsight offers us an opportunity to glean just why that was.  It was because the legislation (not the actual people... the countrymen and women and think tanks and community organizers...who wrote it)  -- sucked.

This is about restoring the health care industry once again, and allowing a free enterprising, competitive marketplace that manages one-sixth of the American economy to judge what works and what doesn't, what survives and what dies.    The government does not belong in the middle of it.

------------------------------------------------
And speaking of meddling in the middle of things....somebody please tell me why one man, an activist judge, can directly decide what is best for homeland security over and above another man, and the president, the one who actually has the authority and LAW on his side?  Obama did just this and nobody said a thing.

Section 212(f) of the INA is arguably the broadest and best known of these authorities. It provides, in relevant part, that “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

In other words, this is why we are a REPUBLIC and not a democracy; we follow Rule of Law for a reason  (for from law, we retain true order of things), otherwise we become manipulated and violated by the folly of mankind.  We can't run a country on the whims of political correctness or personal bias, and this decision made in Hawaii (hilarious) is proof.  It could almost  be thrown into the category of another absurdity:  as in, California deciding the popular vote, and thereby deciding who should be the next president...hilariously good idea....okay....God Bless the Electoral college, but I digress.

So in hindsight today, what do I know...I'm just a girl, her name is Gretchen and this is just a day in the life of an American girl.   But this I do know:  the day after nearly anything and everything offers us the possibility to learn something.  Hindsight graces us with greater understanding in order to move forward with authority and confidence in the future, and sheds a glimmer of hope of not making the same mistakes again.

This would be good, right?  Never mind that much of history just might repeat itself,  think about it: not making the same mistakes again --  how wonderful a world would that be?

True wisdom asks each and every one of us to learn from our mistakes, make course corrections, master our responses, and aim for being a people that become more respectful of others in our daily dialogue, NOT LESS (which very much includes how our mainstream media respects the office of the president); grow more intelligent from the availability of volumes of experiences from those who have preceded us, and offer great incite of the reasons civilizations rise and fall, NOT LESS; and last, but certainly not least, devote more time and honor in communion with the Almighty,  Creator of all things seen and unseen, and not to mention, the final Judge and jury of all things large and small, and with the utmost confidence can add, NOT LESS.

This is what I know to be true, in hindsight.  Take it or leave it.

It's An Honest Answer is Like a Kiss on the Lips Thing

Dear America,

from founder-ing to floundering, that's what we are

The mandate to contribute to the whole, as predicated in the very birth of our country, by virtue of the Declaration of Independence and in the nation's Constitution, complete with the Bill of Rights -- WAS a duty and delight for one and all.  Providing for the general welfare of the whole, in word and deed, WAS an individual thing! and fully paramount to America's success.

And yet, here we are --  in this uber modern culture of ours -- and we are floundering, everywhere and often.

It's not about our individual contribution for the betterment of the whole of these fine United States --- no, it's more about party contribution....about community organization [...flash movements] contribution....and quite possibly, sometimes, it's not about making a contribution whatsoever [apathy, anyone?].

The back and forth surrounding the latest blow to the Clinton campaign marks a good case in point.

No longer do Americans process information through fresh libertarian eyes with a founder's spirit.

With little exception to the rule - - we walk by way of floundering with the truth, with the Rule of Law, liberally co-mingling or ignoring facts and the not so factual, unable to truly decipher between right from wrong, because everything has to be processed through the ideological needle first.  And that eye can be awfully deceiving, no?  And often narrow, failing magnificently with a big fat fact getting through it.

The sway of opinions... the swift reversal of fortune.... all directed at Director Comey of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, tells us everything we need to know.  America has lost all credibility as a country, as a whole, as a force of truth operating within and around the Rule of Law.

When only weeks ago, the Left was considering Comey a man of integrity (when deciding not to move forward in the case against Clinton, blah blah blah)..... to over the last few days, when the very same Left has brandished him a political tool of the Right, indicting Comey up and down the dial in the mainstream media and on Capitol Hill, and even some fools linking him to be in cahoots with the "KGB" [which is funny, isn't it].  And likewise, republicans liked Comey, before they hated Comey, before they liked Comey all over again.

And let's consider Hillary HERself.

She has lied and played America all the live long day for the last thirty years.

Hillary created this fall from grace all on HER own.

She decided to use an illegal server.
She decided to communicate confidential material.
She decided by way of President Obama's own alias, to transmit secret communication on HER self-serve server on behalf of the State Department all on HER own undoing (Also note, Obama said to America on 60 Minutes that he heard about her private server on the news...when Americans heard about it.  THAT was another major LIE).

It's all HER; everything points back to HER.

And about this "one of my staffers" comment, made just yesterday from Hillary, HERself.  How crazy is it that this staffer is Huma Abedin -- in truth, Hillary's number one gal, HER confidant, HER loyal adviser and steadfast admirer-er of nearly twenty years!  HER closest aide gets reduced to rubble with one fell swoop of the sword; she might as well have cut off her head.  [oh yeah, went there]

And how odd is it, that it would appear, President Obama is taking the one position of neutrality in all this....see hear, see hear.  Here's Earnest:

"The President doesn't believe that he's secretly strategizing to benefit one candidate or one political party," Earnest said. "He's in a tough spot, and he's the one who will be in a position to defend his actions in the face of significant criticism from a variety of legal experts, including individuals who served in senior Department of Justice positions in administrations led by presidents in both parties."

whoa, what is happening ...topsy turvy positions left and right.  And let me assure you, something is up with this...but I digress.

If Hillary actually said in testimony that she "never sent or received classified emails" when in fact, the discovery begs to differ -- should she be allowed to run for president?  Some on the left, think no.

Kass, of the Chicago Tribune, is quoted here:

Has America become so numb by the decades of lies and cynicism oozing from Clinton Inc. that it could elect Hillary Clinton as president, even after Friday’s FBI announcement that it had reopened an investigation of her emails while secretary of state?

It’s obvious the American political system is breaking down. It’s been crumbling for some time now, and the establishment elite know it and they’re properly frightened. Donald Trump, the vulgarian at their gates, is a symptom, not a cause. Hillary Clinton and husband Bill are both cause and effect.
Wow.  "...Both cause and effect,"  he said.

The political system is breaking down because the whole of the American culture has moved to dismiss the things that have made us good in every possible facet of American life.

We are no longer FOUNDERing with each new generation -- an element that is required, by the way....or  "baked in" as the Left would say.

We are FLOUNDERING -- merely flirting on the edges now of the ideals, the fundamentals, the principles and values that made America pretty great; clearly, the country is going through the motions, but as a whole, we are not really committed to the duty to uphold everything anymore.  That just seems to be asking way too much.

It's as if we are all millennials now.
yeah, yeah that's what it is
That's what we are.
For lost in this generation is the foundation altogether.  Has anyone noticed how much they are floundering around, virtually un-tethered in every way, and absent of any sense or obligation to America, or why?

They grew up with the founder's being lambasted in school through liberal indoctrination; their formative years watched multiple wars in the Middle East after the horror of 9/11, and now, witness this part of the world riding a perpetual slide into total chaos and caliphates and corruption; they have watched two parties bicker over sex crimes and the grotesque, absent of staying on the issues any longer than a nano-second .....having seen a woman from the Left rise to power even in the midst of profound recklessness and fraud (both foreign and domestic),  all while the Right began with 17 candidates and ended up with Trump!

I feel your apathy.  And raise you.

No, actually, that's not true; I can only honestly say, I raised one of you.

so this floundering is just as much my fault as it is yours, don't hate.

The thing is -- we have surely arrived at the reason the Libertarian party IS on the rise...And who can blame them?  The millennials want none of this circus that divides by party lines on every freaking thing, large and small, no matter if  it is breathing or not.

Perhaps things will ultimately call for a swift reversal back to the founders, some way, somehow.

Of course, saying time will tell, tells us nothing; but the history...the history of repeating itself....may tell us everything.  [did you hear that?  that was just G dropping the mic]

You know, on second thought, second verse same as the first --  the saying, "Don't tread on me," may actually have half a chance of revival, all depending on the flip of the political fair winds, that is; and we've all seen how that flips and flops, a rhapsody of floundering,  on any given day.

But by our very nature, a floundering we will go just has no traction, right.

We come from a stronger stock...

"An honest answer
is like a kiss on the lips."
Proverbs 24:26
...things have changed, huh.
There is that.

And, things can change again.
The simple admission to ourselves, and each other, that we have a problem is unquestionably the first step.

...please note, Solomon didn't say ...an honest answer is like a kiss on the lips, or the kiss of death.
No.   For there is no confusion about it.

All in all, this profiteering and profiting from a history or herstory of lying has simply gotta go.

It's Thinking with a Capital T Thing

Dear America,

making an honest assessment of things seems to be a good place to start on this typical, foggy morning in SO CAL

shedding some light on things, yeah yeah
opening the drapes,
paving the way for the sunlight, now hidden to the far reaches of the horizon,  to ultimately become the fool rushing in to save the day...eventually

we need the fog sometimes
in order to quiet the mind long enough to think...to begin to understand the big picture alongside the minute nuances of truth or fiction, all of which eventually begin to take a certain shape of what's to come, outlining through the nooks and crannies what is real, what is imagined, what is truth, and what is false.  The seen and the unseen revel amongst themselves and almost magically, things come together

and this morning, let's just start with one thing Capital T said last night to Matt Lauer --

"I have a plan, but I want to be -- look, I have a very substantial chance of winning.  We're going to make America great again, I have a very substantial chance of winning.  If I win, I don't want to broadcast to the enemy what my plan is ...If I like maybe a combination of mine and the generals plan or the generals plan.  If I like their plan, Matt, I'm not going to call you up and say, 'Matt, we have a great plan.' This is what Obama does."
Upon morning light, the Washington Examiner post of late last night, titled, "Trump vows to replace generals" from Al Weaver, is a masterpiece of a headline, but let's let the sun shine in, shall we?

Is that really what you get, Al?  Is that the summation of your observation from the 30 minute exchange last night?   Because, I, for one, five star girl can tell you, not sure it was a vow -- for that means he's committed to it -- and really now?  What, other than making America great again, is the Trumpster truly committed to? (It's a fair question.)

sure he did say....
"Well, there will probably be different generals, to be honest with you...
but then he went on to add:
"Well, the generals under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not been successful," Trump said. "Under the leadership of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, the generals have been reduced to rubble. They have been reduced to a point where it's embarrassing for our country. You have a force of 30,000 or so people ... and I can just see the great Gen. George Patton spinning in his grave as ISIS we can't beat."
"I have great faith in the military. I have great faith in certain of the commanders, but I have no faith in Hillary Clinton or the leadership,"

Truth is, there is a galaxy of possibilities waiting in the wings when you Think with a capital T...

Could not the generals transition into something different even without a replacement?  Indeed.  Perhaps through osmosis -- by the leadership of an entirely different Commander In Chief, we see a sea of change in the right direction?  Yeah yeah.  That's  a possibility.

And yeah, Capital T may still need to change a few heads in the long run, with an overall strategy in mind, that is, but isn't that what being the leader and COMMANDER in CHIEF is all about?  Who do we recognize as COMMANDER of all things really, if it's not the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES?

Surely, and generally speaking, Obama has made a few changes cough, cough, cough, cough.   [if you only read one of those links -- choose the last one about McChrystal]  What's with the selective outrage on Trump?  THIS administration has done general picking a plenty for pete's sake.

Thinking through the fog is what Capital T seems to do, and do seemingly quite well (unlike Hillary, right....ahhh ahhh little miss can't remember anything that came before the fall, as in concussion...)

Americans are so dialed into reality, and the things literally standing right before our eyes while changing every nanosecond -- that we overlook an advantage only achieved by taking a fine squint to things; taking the time to sit in the fog and contemplate things virtually unseen -- the possibilities are endless --  realities co-mingle with what might be, and after the clouds fall away and blue sky opens up to a brand new day, the light shows answers that to the naked eye could never be found.  And that especially goes if you're in a hurry. just sayin'

This process is sometimes referred to as thinking outside the box.
Indeed.  It's not the Truman Show, it's the Trump show. So buckle up, buttercups.

And speaking of a wall of fog --  the same idea holds true regarding building a wall without America actually paying for it, per say, and making Mexico "pay for it" through the assets of drug lords, maybe,  or through a tax upon Mexican businesses who wish to capitalize upon the insatiable appetite of the American consumer, or through any other creative resource within the realm called all things are possible

[Not to mention, how this administration thought it was proper business to pay Iran, chief financier and supplier of terrorism in all the world,  any interest is beyond me.  Where is the freaking mainstream media show on this one?  Under the cover of darkness, darkness played with a sinister regime, and finally a little daylight proves our worst fear of giving an enemy of the state enough funds to do great harm a billion times over and back again.  This is considered an intelligent thing to do?  Really?]
I like how Capital T was vague in his plans to Matt.

I like it a lot.

This girl has long held the opinion that the most essential military strategy is secrecy.  like, duh.

Be vague, T,  Be very very vague on this one and don't budge a muscle.

What I surely don't want more of is this....and it's plucked from the pages of my latest issue of Verdict, published by The Judicial Watch folks; it's an email exchange, February 22, 2009 between Clinton and Cheryl Mills (chief of staff at the time):

"I called ops and they gave me your 'secure' cells...but only got a high-pitched whining sound."  When Mills suggested that Clinton try the secure line again, the former secretary wrote back: "I give up.  Call me on my home #."

what a riot, huh.
And this is who half the country believes is ready to be Commander In Chief?  Seriously?

I'll take capital T for a hundred dollars, Pat.

ahhh and there's my sunshine, a blog from out of the fog arrives right on schedule.  tee hee

It's a Fitness/litmus Test Thing

Dear America,

"Yes.  I think the republican nominee is unfit to serve as president."

funny
considering the source...
this off-putting, cutting remark is coming from a sitting president -- and during a press conference, and while alongside the Prime Minister of Singapore, of all things unfit for the moment.  How uncouth, really.  How unfit of an American president, that being a president for all Americans; to strategically intervene with the elections as such, and with such cunning nonchalance, uh uh, like a fox.

Never you mind the pathetic answer from the other side -- the lying, conniving, global elitist vying for the highest office of the land...Hillary Clinton.  Never you mind her inept handling of the entire State Department -- under his watch, by the way.  Between compromising national security with transmitting confidential information via email,  use of a private server constructed around an extra toilet in a small Denver loft, umpteen lies stacking up to the American people, the Benghazi tragedy, the loss of every gain in Iraq -- and amounting to an ISIS revolution.  We have evidence of ON THE JOB UNFITNESS everywhere she wanders, even in the ether, and everyone is okay with that?

And don't get me started on this news, just this morning.
Meg, Meg, meg meg meg meg.  oh meg.  you disappointment me greatly.

Now who is she but some failed contender to be govanah of california?  And a wonky republican establishment one, at best.  While there was a time when the old gthing here was poised to vote for her! eegads!  Are you really this stupid, Meg?  Love him or hate him, Trump is the candidate for the GOP, and if for some reason it pains you to say anything kind about the guy, STFU!   All the while - just how do you get all the way over the wall to voting for HER??  Seriously. Meg?  No, really -- how do you get to Hillary if you are indeed a "conservative" and  "republican," inquiring minds wanna know.  (no,not really;  run MDM as in, Meg Doesn't Matter)

Meg said something like this, (as this girl quotes the quote via the New York Times):

“Time and again history has shown that when demagogues have gotten power or come close to getting power, it usually does not end well,” Ms. Whitman said. She asserted that Mr. Trump had already “undermined the character of the nation.”

Isn't that exactly who we have IN OFFICE right now?  HELLO?!

Obama was merely a wee little one term Senator -- a guy who captured America's heart way back in 2004, during the Democratic convention way back when, and who, at the time, elevated the conversation with saying things like....

"Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes.
"Well, I say to them tonight, there's not a liberal America and a conservative America; there's the United States of America.
"There's not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there's the United States of America.
"The pundits, the pundits like to slice and dice our country into red states and blue States: red states for Republicans, blue States for Democrats. But I've got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the blue states, and we don't like federal agents poking around our libraries in the red states.
"We coach little league in the blue states and, yes, we've got some gay friends in the red states.
"There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq, and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq.
"We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America."

DEMAGOGUERY is demagoguery.   Obama was making his appeals and striking a cord.

BUT more important --  this isn't the kind of president we got now...now is it?  I might also add, it seems more like the exact opposite, but I digress.

Now, by definition - a demagogue is a leader who obtains power by means of impassioned appeals to the emotions and prejudices of the populace.

And since we are having this conversation, isn't every candidate a demagogue to  some degree?

We -- as constituents -- decide what message we relate to, and what issues seem to be our greatest concerns; once we establish that much, we expect the candidate who in fact wins our hearts and minds, to follow through in action, implementing the appeals voiced during the political campaign with the same spirit.  With unwavering integrity to the original message -- you know, the one that fulfilled all the little people's dreams -- the expectations of the people, for the people, are real and become a mandate of sorts.

And yet, we the people are toyed with every day, every four years, getting worse and worse as the demagoguery and skulduggery digs deeper and meaner, as all diplomacy and civility goes out the door -- the political lines have been drawn.  And it's ugly.

It was only four years later, when a young, and perfectly unfit specimen for the job, ran for president in 2008.  Even though he caught everyone's attention back at the DNC convention, he had some work to do.  And this is when a young Barack Hussein Obama began crafting his appeals to the people all over again...I mean, he was up against HER before he was up against McCain (ugh).

And immediately setting his sites upon blaming the previous administration for everything, Obama said things like this:

“The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars for the first 42 presidents — number 43 added $4 trillion dollars by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion dollars of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child.
That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic."

A guy with no experience on the job, a community organizer, with questionable associations with Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, and a history of following anti-American professors, mentors and activists,..and then, what does he do -- besides continuing to blame Bush even into his second term -- Obama adds TEN TRILLION dollars to the national debt -- now a shameful 19.5 TRILLION dollars (not accounting for the over 100 TRILLION -- yes, that is 100 trillion dollars -- in UNFUNDED liabilities; destroyed one-sixth of our economy through peddling lies to the American people on being able to keep our doctors, etc. etc. by the unlawful administration, and without even one vote from republicans, in Obamacare; botched a gun running scheme with Fast and Furious; lost every gain in the Middle East; turned Libya into a hot mess; undermined our immigration laws through Executive overreach; disenfranchised every police force across the nation over the course of nearly eight years; lost four American lives in Benghazi and went to sleep (had to get his beauty rest before flying out to California for a campaign stop) and then masterminded a lie to cover up what really happened; told Medvedev he "would have more flexibility after election" on a live mic;

oh I could go on and on.

and I will.

What is the latest?  Now talk about unpatriotic....irresponsible....being totally UNFIT for the office of the president of the Untied States.  yup, that was on purpose.

It's a biggie, so hold onto your benjamins --

...Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said...
Senior U.S. officials denied any link between the payment and the prisoner exchange. They say the way the various strands came together simultaneously was coincidental, not the result of any quid pro quo.
But U.S. officials also acknowledge that Iranian negotiators on the prisoner exchange said they wanted the cash to show they had gained something tangible...
Meanwhile, U.S. officials have said they were certain Washington was going to lose the arbitration in The Hague, where Iran was seeking more than $10 billion, and described the settlement as a bargain for taxpayers.
Iranian press reports have quoted senior Iranian defense officials describing the cash as a ransom payment. The Iranian foreign ministry didn’t respond to a request for comment.
The $400 million was paid in foreign currency because any transaction with Iran in U.S. dollars is illegal under U.S. law. Sanctions also complicate Tehran’s access to global banks.
Oh, so the UNFIT president, currently in office, "skirted the law" in every way, not even alerting Congress, and paid a ransom, and paid a handsome one, at that.  And what's with it being the first installment?   Paying Iran interest?  Seriously?  Just who is the caretaker of American interests if it is not this administration?

And more important, didn't our US dollars -- the ones sent to the Central Banks -- in fact, FUND the indefensible fund?  Is this not just mincing reality with a magic bunny stuffed with funny money?

Are we all on a reality TV show right now?

Oh my, this president is proving he's UNFIT every day!

Oh big brother.  Every day, we all wake up to stunning news and the mainstream media is so aligned with the mischief, the ideology, the agenda, all they really want to do is bury Trump right now, eliminate him entirely.  [And isn't it just a shame the Donald helps them pick up the shovel half the time...oh donald, donald, donald.  Known and Unknown,  Read it.  When you're done with that, go to Liberty and Tyranny; and when finished with that,, there's probably a good Ann Coulter book that I'm missing here; then, hit The 5000 Year Leap for the essential fine tuning; and when you're done with all that, perhaps finally get to The U.S. Constitution.  teehee]

You know who needs an intervention --- besides Trump?

Barack Hussein Obama
Hillary Clinton
Meg Whitman...

"Black Lives Matter" see the brand spanking new list of demands...(just when you thought it was just about the police...)

Oh my.  Let's just call it, the entire United States of America.

Oh hell, how about we just start that intervention with America first.

I'll start with myself -- right now.  Time to get fit, and be fit, and talk fit -- think of it as a fitness/litmus test to be the best American and model citizen I can be, every day.  And not just by lip service, but in all ways.  and may God bless us one and all.  This is essentially a test we all, individually and collectively, need to pass with honors.

It's Fifty Shades of Grey Thing

Dear America,

But for my final address
 to this chamber,
I don’t want to just talk about next year.
I want to focus
on the next five years,
the next 10 years,
and beyond.
I want to focus on our future.

Got that right.  Who would want to focus on the present with a past like his?

In the middle of it...his "final address," Obama says...

It says America will always act, alone if necessary, to protect our people and our allies; but on issues of global concern, we will mobilize the world to work with us...

leading us to this...

That’s our approach to conflicts like Syria, where we’re partnering with local forces and leading international efforts to help that broken society pursue a lasting peace.

making it sound more like we are simply organizing a bake sale to support the local police chapter respond to a neighborhood ruckus before things really get out of hand, before he adds this...

That’s why we built a global coalition, with sanctions and principled diplomacy, to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran. And as we speak, Iran has rolled back its nuclear program, shipped out its uranium stockpile, and the world has avoided another war. (Applause.)

which is hilarious, considering he left out a couple of pertinent things....things like, and 'as we speak, Iran has rolled back its program, shipped out its uranium stockpile, and has gone on to test a missile or two, even while such actions go against the "global agreement" made only a few months back, and not only that --  has commandeered the capture of ten of our troops -- yes, as we speak, here, tonight -- and leaves me hanging this evening as to what the hell is going on while they hold our men (and one woman) hostage for the night in a place I like to call Tom Ayatollah Sawyer Island of Farsi.  Who knows when they will be given back to us, surely by morning; but not to worry. I have a point to make and a legacy to fake.'

indeed.  Now just for kicks, let's put side by side Iran's response to a Reagan Administration and Barack Obama's, shall we?  Let's see who gets the stand down first.  Our current Commandeer-In-Chief couldn't bend over any more if he tried; but of course, to admit to that, we would also have to agree there is evidence of a backbone to begin with -- but I digress. [btw, that's a great link there to American Thinker...don't miss the boat.]

Allow me to save us all some time.

The entire State of the Union was its usual propaganda puff piece, chock-full of lies and exaggerations, all while making a plethora of abusive ties to America's foundation -- the very principles and ideas to which this president defies and mocks, with great audacity and reckless abandon, mind you, in his every day to day to day... times seven years.

I am SO GLAD I didn't watch a lick of it!

[Including that SNL response that came right after, featuring Nikki Haley... SNL standing for Somebody's Not Listening...as in that somebody being the entire GOP Establishment.]

When will Republicans ever stop eating their own young, for pete's sake?!

All things considered, Trump is not America's enemy number one, okay.

Now, perhaps if we wanna go there for a moment,  Hillary Clinton could be a good candidate of an Enemy of the State...little miss I never said anything about a video, yeah right.  Liar, liar, pants suit on fire.

Here you are, Hill, ON VIDEO talking about a video, [fast forward to right around the half way mark].  And following your address to the families of Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods at Andrews Air Force Base-- you spoke intimately and directly to the family members, and let me show you the quote from the diary of Charles Woods, Tyrone's father, recorded the moment.  And then let's add this,  from Breitbart in 2012, go here.  And fast and furious forward to 2016, from The Daily Caller, Charles Woods repeated the memory, saying with a certain and consistent truth:
She said, ‘we’re going to have that person responsible for that video put in jail,'” he recalled, adding that Clinton’s comments “struck me as being very strange.”
And they did, too.  They put the guy in jail.

SEE HERE.  See also The Benghazi Patsy story at Politico, here.

How Hillary -- and Obama -- can get away with such blatant manipulation of truth and dares, have no idea.   Scratch that; for the real state of the union tells me so.

With the pathetically uneducated and misinformed being led by the unconscionable progressive body politic, left and right...and with such wanton betrayal -- the homeland is ripe for the taking; while the prevailing short-term memory issues that seem to run congruently with the loss of the critical thinking plays another key role and makes it all look    oh     so      easy.

Oh my.
May we correct the direction America is leaning before we all fall down.
But in the meantime, one more line from a presidency reaching its end:
I told you earlier all the talk of America’s economic decline is political hot air. Well, so is all the rhetoric you hear about our enemies getting stronger and America getting weaker. Let me tell you something. The United States of America is the most powerful nation on Earth. Period. (Applause.) Period. It’s not even close. It's not even close. (Applause.) It's not even close. We spend more on our military than the next eight nations combined. Our troops are the finest fighting force in the history of the world. (Applause.) No nation attacks us directly, or our allies, because they know that’s the path to ruin. Surveys show our standing around the world is higher than when I was elected to this office, and when it comes to every important international issue, people of the world do not look to Beijing or Moscow to lead -- they call us. (Applause.)
Period...it's not even close...it's not even close.
And for a moment there, you make it sound like America is pretty exceptional, Mr. President; it's as if you almost respect this beautiful country.

Oh my, how you personify fifty shades of grey, right on cue.

It's the Strateegury of the Anti-Wuss Thing

Dear America,

Two days ago, from Politico

Clinton continued, “But still they hire their president to look around the corner and down the street, and you just think - if you refuse to act and you cause a calamity, the one thing you cannot say when all the eggs have been broken, is that, ‘Oh my God, two years ago there was a poll that said 80 percent of you were against it.’ Right? You’d look like a total fool. So you really have to in the end trust the American people, tell them what you’re doing, and hope to God you can sell it” and that it turns out okay in the end.
in other words...or risk looking like a "total wuss" -- just dripping with presidential eloquence and excellence in communications.  [his exact words, not mine, see for yourself]

Oh, but my favorite part, is when "Clinton told McCain during an event for the McCain Institute for International Leadership in Manhattan Tuesday night. “Sometimes it’s just best to get caught trying, as long as you don’t overcommit — like, as long as you don’t make an improvident commitment.”

oooooh, like the time you were in the Oval Office with a cigar, a blue dress and too much privacy for your own good?  Sometimes it's just best to get caught trying, as long as you don't overcommit -- like, as long as you don't make an improvident commitment." [like, an improvident act has got nothing on an improvident commitment, right?  What is, is -- there is no there, there --  is worth every risk of getting "caught trying"]

So one day Clinton is proposing President Obama would look like a "total wuss" if he refuses to act and intervene in Syria and the very next day, go figure, BO sends in "direct military aid"  (and quickly noting Kinetic Military action is so 2011...).

Random, rash, or a Commander-in-Chief on the ropes -- you make the call.

Plucked from Yahoo! News and defining the situation with finesse, Ben Rhoades said,

"The President has made a decision about providing more support to the opposition. That will involve providing direct support to the SMC. That includes military support. I cannot detail for you all of the types of that support for a variety of reasons, but suffice it to say this is going to be different in both scope and scale in terms of what we are providing to the SMC than what we have provided before."

“This is more a situation where we're just not going to be able to lay out an inventory of what exactly falls under the scope of that assistance other than to communicate that we have made that decision."

SMC = Supreme Military Council to the rebels.

Rebels = God only knows...part al Queda, part disgruntled mob protesting a video what difference does it make... throw in a few Russians just for kicks and giggles, under a shroud for cover, of course... and we got ourselves another mess.

don't look like a "total wuss" buddy....

Check this out from Fox News: Jihadist Robin Hood?...

don't look like a "total wuss" buddy....

Keeping in mind, a rebel's perspective from a year ago -- according to bright spot above the tree line on The Hill, the Syrian rebels were totally open to getting  a little help from al Queda, whatever it takes [see for yourself, here].

don't look like a "total wuss" buddy....

And honestly, what's the big deal right?  John McCain had already promised "the rebels" weapons over the Memorial Day weekend.  Have a yourself a little refresher read, here.

don't look like a "total wuss" buddy....

Not to mention -- a Senate panel already began taking steps to provide weapons and military support back on May 21, 2013.

don't look like a "total wuss" buddy....

OKAY, OKAY, LET'S DO THIS!

read all about it HERE.

Chemical Weapons = RED  line

and hey, in some camps, even Red Dye #40 is a chemical weapon, so really now, what difference does it make...yeah, I know, not all that funny.

All the while, Putin claims, nyet so fast...

Along with plenty more push back, here...

And yet the constant ringing in the ear chimes again, don't look like a "total wuss" buddy....

The thing is --

after great debate and contemplation and harmless teasing, we find Obama taking a side -- and it's in clear and desperate opposition, mind you, of looking like a total wuss.

Otherwise known as operation LGCT: "let's get caught trying" (wink, wink)  "as long as you don't overcommit -- like, as long as you don't make an improvident commitment,"  everything should pretty much turn out okay in the end.  time will tell.

Ahhh  the strateegury of the anti-wuss, splendid; it's like leading from behind, but only better.
Does all this mean we are entering another era at war with Russia; have we justified the conditions on the ground -- the very landscape, complete with perfect storm -- for a second Afghanistan (or would it really be a third)?

Oh the smell of date palm in the morning under a scary, scary sky; just can't seem to shake this global war-ming feeling.

I'm not seeing the rainbow.

Make it a Good Day, G

Free, no commitment Add-on for the day --  go to Investor's Business Daily, describing to you how it is quite alright for the U.S. to snoop those innocent American emails and phone numbers -- and quite a no-no to do the same for "American" Islamic mosques: "Obama Snooping Excludes Mosques, Missed Boston Bombers"

"This is particularly disturbing
in light of recent independent surveys
of American mosques,
which reveal some 80% of them
preach violent jihad
or distribute violent literature
 to worshippers."

It's a Self-Explanatory Thing... Self-Reliance

Dear America,

I already regret this; but here you go --

"It's time for a new economic patriotism," he says.

which is a riot, considering when he was running for office, he said this about Bush:

calling Bushie's trillions in debt "irresponsible"  no no, I got it "unpatriotic."

But get a load of the heightened rhetoric using Patriotism as his back-splash.

like, how can you even call yourself patriotic if you don't agree with me...

The ad left-arms the entire kitchen sink at us, forcing us to duck and cover from the onslaught of the liberally-minded, dripping wet, warm and sudsy, ideals and policies deemed high and mighty OR you're not a patriot.

To lead from the left, a temperature-controlled environment -- preferably fueled by green energy, of course -- begins not, is rooted not, with the middle class but with suppressing the opposition.  The absurdity, really...the audacity.   Oh, the places we will go believing that all middle class think alike [oh, that's just G, pretending to be ironic like Madonna...]

The problem is Liberalism never takes a day off and it doesn't make economic sense from the get go.  And when I say from the 'get go' -- I mean to say from the moment you turn it on.  But in order to gain approval and mass appeal, the common strategy seems to begin by separating and labeling us by class, color, conviction, and conscience -- no need to run on the merits of the machine itself, if ever.

So Bushie ran up a 4 trillion dollar debt over eight years; Obama 5.3 trillion in under four.  Just who is being "unpatriotic" now?  And yet, if Obama blames Bushie for his debt, would it not make sense that Bushie can blame Clinton for his?  And so on and so on?  I mean, honestly, what about the economy Obama is "inheriting" this time around?    Seriously?   But make no mistake, this is Obama's logic -- not mine.

And speaking of Clinton -- and the making of a "government surplus" -- let me point you in this one direction.
[warning: it's a rather long read but skip-to-my-loo through it if you can; given it adds a whole new dimension on the National Debt's operating instructions, it is well worth the time.]

You know what else is illogical?

What is illogical -- is when the president tells an audience something to the effect of 'I don't see no stinkin' victims...I see hardworkin' Ohioans'  and then turns around and preaches policies to fix the victimization of the middle class, the poor, the tired... the average patriot.

But let's get back to the ad for a second -- 'a hundred thousand additional math and science teachers?'  Is that what you believe is going to fix our competitiveness in and around the world? Is that what you believe is going to fix our inner-city schools, along side the inner-city kid who refuses to go to school, do their homework, or simply pay attention?

How about giving those kids a real choice, Mr. President?  I didn't hear that in your ad.  How about making schools compete in the free market for the best teachers and attracting a hard-working student body?

And yet, you keep packing it all in, don't you; here's a whole lot more from the two minute ad --

"Fourth...a balanced plan to reduce our deficit by 4 trillion dollars over the next decade...I'd ask the wealthy to pay a little more....And, as we end the war in Afghanistan, let's apply half the savings to pay down our debt...nation building here at home."

So in patriot-speak:  1) Obama's plan includes reducing the deficit by 4 trillion dollars over ten years; when in fact, we are running annual deficits of over a trillion dollars -- which means -- we get to a net increase of the debt by at least 6 trillion at the end of ten years??  okay...  2) about Obama 'asking the wealthy to pay a little more' or what, we will just be called unpatriotic if we don't -- even if you already give 43% of your income away before property taxes, state taxes, sales taxes, gas taxes.... 3) "[Afghanistan] let's apply half the savings to pay down our debt" -- what does that even mean?    Obama applies imaginary money -- and only half of it, at that -- to the debt?  Because the Department of Defense will be refunding future money they won't be spending?  okay...

Get me Angie's List.   Isn't she all about making sure the money we are about to spend, is money well spent?

hmmmm....I wonder.... I wonder, if I vote for Obama, if instead of getting a free cell phone, can I get a new dishwasher?

What I don't get is just how some Americans just do not see it.

Liberalism is a walking contradiction to the American ideals; and I would be remiss, if not selectively biased, if I didn't admit that the republican establishment has been operating right alongside them, hand in hand, hand out to hand out, debt to debt being all equal (well not really, but details schmetails)

The thing is, a hundred thousand more math and science teachers will only guarantee another generation locked into man-made, streamlined, false narratives that run counter-intuitive to real logic and common sense.

All we really need are tried and true patriots teaching other tried and true patriots to be better tried and true patriots.

The Obama re-election campaign is counting on Americans not to really listen to what he is saying; but in the event that you are -- and if you dare to question -- prepare yourself....as they will just call you names like unpatriotic.

It's their go-to character assassination tactic for Liberal use only.

The funny thing about self-reliance is that you either got it or you don't; we choose to nurture it or we don't; we choose to build it or we don't. But we can't have it both ways -- we can't be self-reliant and victims at the same time.  It's just like you can't wear a smile while thinking of something sad.

The reality is, the top ten percent of wage earners pay 71% of the Federal Income Tax, with half of all filers paying nothing -- the redistribution of un-favorable outcomes has been clearly accounted for; and to that end, 62% of the federal budget goes to UNFUNDED LIABILITIES aka Entitlement (welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, and social security -- for there is no "lock box", and the recently added, Obamacare).   The crooked patriots in charge have fraudulently misappropriated the hard-earned dollars of the rich and poor and middle alike.

Forcing the redistribution for more, by way of mandating the wealthy pay more over the next four years, and thereby exchanging the favorable outcome from one man's self-reliance for another's, is a twisted perversion of what this country is all about.

But let's be clear:  Self-reliance is the maker of the greatest Patriotic Machine in existence.  It comes with a lifetime guarantee with the proper maintenance -- review all operating instructions and warranties before use...and have a nice day.  And think before you vote.

Make it a Good Day, G

Dear America,

He's not really a risk taker, is he?

Case in point, he picked the favorites to get to Final Four:  Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, and Pittsburgh.

And just who got there?

Risk takers, underdogs, countrymen of different colleges but same spirit, teams with heart and soul leading the way, if not tattooed in their brains; the teams arriving at the coveted Final Four spot exhibit the kind of innovation and magic that is only made in the USA.  I, myself, kinda like VCU -- any college with the word Commonwealth within must be cool -- aside from the fact that my Aries side loves that little ram connection -- either way, we'll see where that leads soon enough.

He, the chosen one, seems to be only comfortable taking the lead when in comfortable, predictable, situations -- associating with the like-minded, other radicals, people who believe and think in community with each other, justifying any means to an end; or if not in alignment with "predictable", he takes an aggressive stance, putting the boot to the neck, ridiculing dissension by the opposition party as labeling them simply "teabaggers," jumping to conclusions against presumed authority and calling it "stupidity" -- but painfully hesitating to make a sound when America's honor and glory are being attacked, terrorized even, from the inside...as in Fort Hood.

No, he runs with the party line all the way to the hoop -- even if he misses.

Apparently, following the pack is just something that we (america) do now -- feeling very much punched in the stomach, like the favorite, totally upended in the final bell, all of a sudden, we are reduced to nothing right before our very eyes.

Robert Gates admitted Sunday that there was no immediate threat to the United States; while Hillary Clinton (the same Hill that wants out in less than two years from now)  added that it was the perceived humanitarian threat we acted upon.   So with that logic, anyone who appears likely to do any possible harm against humanity, we should attack anyway, even if there is no eminent danger for America specifically?

How did we get here?  How in the world did the party of make love, not war, come out of nowhere launching missile attacks based solely on the perception of things to come?  huh?

We are part of the coalition forces now enforcing a "no-fly zone" for a country that doesn't even have an official Air Force. huh?

We are part of coalition forces now thinking about supplying guns and ammo to 'the rebel forces' -- who may very well be playing on the same side as Al Queda.  huh?

We are part of coalition forces now turning our military over to the strategy and agenda of NATO, allowing even the United Nations to have the ball, allowing our sovereignty to sit on the bench for a long, long, drawn out campaign for all we know -- because, after all, who really knows, right (not even Clinton or Gates)?

...we have no idea who we are dealing with here, these are rebel forces meeting up with more cocky-and-nothing-to-lose rebel forces, and some with guns even!...sit tight, this seems to be anybody's game...

huh?

Our president hesitated on taking sides on this one for the longest time -- only being pushed into it by the new world order mandate, star player simply called, The UN; what was our president doing when the Libya situation was just beginning to heat up?  Oh, he was making his picks for the Final Four.

Let's review:  all of his picks (aka the favorites)... Duke, Kansas, Ohio State and Pittsburgh failed miserably.  Following the line of the favorites didn't really work for him, did it?

The thing is, this is HIS GAME we are talking about; this president, of all presidents probably to date, KNOWS, really KNOWS, basketball (and you thought I was gonna say foreign relations, silly...); this is what for the love of the game is all about (oops that is mixing baseball with b-ball, my bad); hoops -- this president plays it, breathes it, lives it and studies it in his spare time, for all I know -- probably talks about it while playing golf with the boys while half the world is going up in smoke...AND HE, oh chosen one, didn't get anywhere close to calling it right.  His final four crashed and burned.

How in the world does a guy with no military history, no respect for authority (really, let's be honest shall we, review the cold, hard stats all the way back... go to his own words, his books, his community organizer tapes of the game before he was president...), no experience with international relations, no reverence to America's sovereignty and exceptional-ism respective of how this franchise was built -- how could we ever have such highball hypocrisy in this position, being paid too much, for too little, and with such attitude?  Do I dare wonder, how does he maneuver a win for the home team, America, out of this?

Where is our true heart and soul?  Where is our will to win against all odds?  When will we get our game back -- and focus on the things that have made this country pretty great...

...saving umpteen questions as to why are we drilling in Brazil and not our Gulf and Anwar, why are we punishing Arizona for protecting our own security, why are we bankrupting our children with Obamacare, and why our president isn't leading congress on tackling the 1.1 Trillion dollar deficit, please pardon another play of words using the wrong sport....

...so many questions... and we're running out of time... good thing it only takes a nano-second in basketball to have the game turned upside down. I call for a miracle...a three pointer from the center...

It is a show of real character, and will, and self-reliance, that rises to the top in situations like the Final Four -- just as those same principles touch us all, equally and fairly, out in the real world.  America was built on the idea that it could be anybody's game, anybody's day, at any time -- as all things boil down to a wicked (and by wicked, I mean wicked good) combination of skill, knowledge, experience, heart, with a whole lot of good timing and the law of Any Given Sunday thrown in from the sidelines (and it wouldn't hurt to also carry the approach of consciously aligning with, not so much hoping God is on our side...but that we are playing on God's side).

oh, and at the risk of sounding like I'm dithering here, I wouldn't mind the Bulldogs to come out on top either, THEY COULD GO ALL THE WAY!

(darn it, you can take the girl away from the football, but you can't take the football out of the girl).

Now for Libya, now that things are totally stirred up -- democracy must prevail; but if the Wisconsin rebel forces/coalition/unions tell us anything at all...definition of democracy and what it looks like, acts like, is very much in question; as clear and present danger of the unknown wears us down, it is anybody's game, at any given time.

yea cloud.

Make it a Good Day, G
