It's Thinking with a Capital T Thing

Dear America,

making an honest assessment of things seems to be a good place to start on this typical, foggy morning in SO CAL

shedding some light on things, yeah yeah

opening the drapes, 

paving the way for the sunlight, now hidden to the far reaches of the horizon,  to ultimately become the fool rushing in to save the day...eventually

we need the fog sometimes

in order to quiet the mind long enough to think...to begin to understand the big picture alongside the minute nuances of truth or fiction, all of which eventually begin to take a certain shape of what's to come, outlining through the nooks and crannies what is real, what is imagined, what is truth, and what is false.  The seen and the unseen revel amongst themselves and almost magically, things come together

and this morning, let's just start with one thing Capital T said last night to Matt Lauer --

"I have a plan, but I want to be -- look, I have a very substantial chance of winning.  We're going to make America great again, I have a very substantial chance of winning.  If I win, I don't want to broadcast to the enemy what my plan is ...If I like maybe a combination of mine and the generals plan or the generals plan.  If I like their plan, Matt, I'm not going to call you up and say, 'Matt, we have a great plan.' This is what Obama does."

Upon morning light, the Washington Examiner post of late last night, titled, "Trump vows to replace generals" from Al Weaver, is a masterpiece of a headline, but let's let the sun shine in, shall we?

Is that really what you get, Al?  Is that the summation of your observation from the 30 minute exchange last night?   Because, I, for one, five star girl can tell you, not sure it was a vow -- for that means he's committed to it -- and really now?  What, other than making America great again, is the Trumpster truly committed to? (It's a fair question.)

"Well, there will probably be different generals, to be honest with you...

but then he went on to add:

"Well, the generals under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not been successful," Trump said. "Under the leadership of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, the generals have been reduced to rubble. They have been reduced to a point where it's embarrassing for our country. You have a force of 30,000 or so people ... and I can just see the great Gen. George Patton spinning in his grave as ISIS we can't beat." 

"I have great faith in the military. I have great faith in certain of the commanders, but I have no faith in Hillary Clinton or the leadership," 

Truth is, there is a galaxy of possibilities waiting in the wings when you Think with a capital T...

Could not the generals transition into something different even without a replacement?  Indeed.  Perhaps through osmosis -- by the leadership of an entirely different Commander In Chief, we see a sea of change in the right direction?  Yeah yeah.  That's  a possibility.  

And yeah, Capital T may still need to change a few heads in the long run, with an overall strategy in mind, that is, but isn't that what being the leader and COMMANDER in CHIEF is all about?  Who do we recognize as COMMANDER of all things really, if it's not the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES?  

Surely, and generally speaking, Obama has made a few changes cough, cough, cough, cough.   [if you only read one of those links -- choose the last one about McChrystal]  What's with the selective outrage on Trump?  THIS administration has done general picking a plenty for pete's sake.

Thinking through the fog is what Capital T seems to do, and do seemingly quite well (unlike Hillary, right....ahhh ahhh little miss can't remember anything that came before the fall, as in concussion...)

Americans are so dialed into reality, and the things literally standing right before our eyes while changing every nanosecond -- that we overlook an advantage only achieved by taking a fine squint to things; taking the time to sit in the fog and contemplate things virtually unseen -- the possibilities are endless --  realities co-mingle with what might be, and after the clouds fall away and blue sky opens up to a brand new day, the light shows answers that to the naked eye could never be found.  And that especially goes if you're in a hurry. just sayin'

This process is sometimes referred to as thinking outside the box.  

Indeed.  It's not the Truman Show, it's the Trump show. So buckle up, buttercups. 

And speaking of a wall of fog --  the same idea holds true regarding building a wall without America actually paying for it, per say, and making Mexico "pay for it" through the assets of drug lords, maybe,  or through a tax upon Mexican businesses who wish to capitalize upon the insatiable appetite of the American consumer, or through any other creative resource within the realm called all things are possible. 

The thing is:   Does it really have to look like $1.7 billion in untraceable cash in the exchange between Mexico and the U.S.?  

 [Not to mention, how this administration thought it was proper business to pay Iran, chief financier and supplier of terrorism in all the world,  any interest is beyond me.  Where is the freaking mainstream media show on this one?  Under the cover of darkness, darkness played with a sinister regime, and finally a little daylight proves our worst fear of giving an enemy of the state enough funds to do great harm a billion times over and back again.  This is considered an intelligent thing to do?  Really?]

I like how Capital T was vague in his plans to Matt.

I like it a lot.

This girl has long held the opinion that the most essential military strategy is secrecy.  like, duh.

Be vague, T,  Be very very vague on this one and don't budge a muscle.

What I surely don't want more of is this....and it's plucked from the pages of my latest issue of Verdict, published by The Judicial Watch folks; it's an email exchange, February 22, 2009 between Clinton and Cheryl Mills (chief of staff at the time):

"I called ops and they gave me your 'secure' cells...but only got a high-pitched whining sound."  When Mills suggested that Clinton try the secure line again, the former secretary wrote back: "I give up.  Call me on my home #."

what a riot, huh.

And this is who half the country believes is ready to be Commander In Chief?  Seriously?

I'll take capital T for a hundred dollars, Pat.

It's Just a Little March Madness Thing

Let's immediately cut to Breitbart Sports because it is just that brilliant:

Conservative Nebraska Senate candidate Ben Sasse, who has been surging since being labeled the anti-Obamacare candidate, has released a "Constitutional Madness" bracket to highlight the lawlessness of the Obama administration.

"Which is President Obama's worst constitutional violation?" the bracket says. "Make your picks!"

is how it all begins before breaking down the Constitutional Madness into regions with each pairing more reprehensible than the next.

Then, if we were to buttress the domestic policy up against our foreign policy, what do we get?

Firm foundation for success?

Domestic and International tranquility worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize?

Let's cut to Mary Katharine Ham, of HotAir, taking us to a post dating back to the first week of March, just because it is a happy Friday and it is that good:

When you accept a repressive Russian ruler’s offer as a political escape hatch because your own ill-considered rhetoric put you in the awkward position of being a Nobel Peace Prize winner elected president as an anti-Bush who would “nation build at home” now half-heartedly lobbying the nation to go to war in Syria, that repressive Russian ruler might not take you seriously the next time around.

A coherent foreign policy— at its best telegraphing that the United States is willing to use many tools to back good actors and punish bad, reward allies and punish enemies— is about being perceived as tough and reliable enough to prevent something like the invasion of Ukraine from happening before it happens

Let's now cut to Wednesday -- being on the cusp of, oh how do you say, a Ukraine Spring -- when the president made oh so sadly clear where his foreign policy in that region stands:

We are not going to be getting into a military excursion in Ukraine.

What we are going to do is mobilize all of our diplomatic resources to make sure that we've got a strong international coalition that sends a clear message

Ukraine should decide their own destiny. Russia right now is violating international law and the sovereignty of another country. Might doesn’t make right

Remember now -- we have long told Ukraine not to worry; we would have their back all the way through the brackets, whether it was March, or not...And making it look totally official  and everything ...here, and here, when the March madness news on "the Ukraine Page" dot Gov.  included this from the ambassador: 

U.S. Ambassador To Ukraine Says Crimea Should Stay In Ukraine
Ambassador Pyatt (Mar. 10): "Crimea is and should remain a part of Ukraine. Discussion over. That said, I have been encouraged to see comments from Prime Minister Yatseniuk and others indicating that the government, the Ukrainian government is open to enhance levels of autonomy for the people in Crimea."

U.S. Foreign Policy Toward Ukraine
Deputy Assistant Secretary Rubin (Mar. 6): "Our united efforts have demonstrated to the people of Ukraine and to the international community that the United States is resolute in its support of Ukraine’s desire for a democratic, peaceful, and prosperous future."

Perhaps we should revisit the scrapped missile defense program to help Ukraine...and quickly mitigate the growing concerns of other allies, see Poland.

Let's cut to the CBS News post for a simple breakdown of what happened to it:

The Bush program, which would have placed 10 ground-based interceptors in Poland along with a radar in the Czech Republic, was replaced with a system of smaller interceptors to better deal with short- and medium-range missiles that the administration believed Iran had made more progress developing. The final stage of the replacement program was cancelled last year to place more interceptors in Alaska to deal with threats from North Korea.

While all this makes me nervous, anxious, good reason to pop up to the concessions for a hot dog, soft pretzel and beer, it also makes me wonder...just what happened to kinetic military action?  Why then, not now?  [Don't hate.  It's just a good question.]

AND don't get me wrong.  This girl doesn't want to go to war with Russia! 

What I am dreaming of is an administration who carries a big stick, bolstered with a well thought out game plan in both offense and defense; an administration who says what they mean and means what they say; an administration so formidable that by just walking into the arena makes any opponent shrivel into a ball, making almost any situation a non-starter.

But look at us; that was era gone by, long in the record books; that was then and this is now, all "nation building at home."

How's that working out for us?

Are we?  Are we really building a stronger nation , here, there, or anywhere?

Let's cut the denial.  We suck.

Look at us!   Completely and thoroughly divided by region... be it race, religion, wealth, sexuality, boy vs. girl, English vs. Spanish, progressive vs. conservative, east vs. west vs. north vs. south  -- you name it, we've got a bracket for it.  And who do we have leading the charge?  A community organizer -- make that agitator; just a guy who has no business being the leader of the free world, be it foreign or domestic.

Somebody, anybody, make it stop; stop the insidious madness.

A cohesive, free enterprising, peace building, corporate culture,  united under the Divine and the Rule of Law, and brought to you by painstaking assimilation by virtue of all brackets melting into one -- begins with one ball.

It's the Corner of Too Much Bull and Broad Thing

Life is Wonderful

this is the kind of attitude all of us should have, all the time.

It was plastered to a bumper...and I thought to myself, whoa. I wanted to jump out of my car and meet them right then and there.  I wanted to see it, touch it, affirm it; I thought to myself, let's redistribute more of THAT!

You know the Gallup poll has a new number for the unemployed at 7.3% [whatever...]; while the underemployed number is holding at about 16.3%.   And I thought to myself, that's 23.6% of the faithful primarily unhappy in their daily purpose to create income.

Business is Great...

“As many of you know venture capital and private equity is one of the key mechanisms by which we finance new businesses in the state of Illinois,” state Sen. Obama said in a speech before the Illinois Senate on May 30, 2003.  “For a variety of reasons, Illinois has been lagging behind some of our competitor states in the formation of venture capital and its deployment in terms of seeding and funding new companies.”

This little tidbit is per ABC news, snapped from a post @ the Washington Free Beacon, titled "Obama Was For Venture Capital Before He Was Against It."

The article continues, saying:

Obama proposed a private equity task force in a resolution, in which he said that private equity “offers the best opportunity for long-term economic vitality, for the expansion of jobs, for the improvement of productivity and a quality standard of living, and for providing the greatest number of citizens with genuine opportunity.”

"[Private equity]offers the best opportunity for long-term economic vitality, for the expansion of jobs, for the improvement of productivity and a quality standard of living, and for providing the greatest number of citizens with genuine opportunity."  and yes -- it was worth repeating.

Just what has changed for you, Mr. President?

And if you believed it then, how come you despise it now?  Some might begin to think you are running that  Chevy Volt* dream car of yours all over the map, with that stark raving hypocrisy of yours riding shotgun. [*He really did say he wanted one]

And if what you said way back in 2003 is true -- which I, for one, would have to whole-heartedly agree with you  -- then wouldn't the mind and experience of a venture capitalist in the Oval Office be just the ticket?

Just imagine it!  Having a guy sitting in the Oval Office coming with 25 years Venture Capital experience -- creating the environment for the making of jobs, expanding companies, starting new businesses, changing lives, and creating wonderful.

And yet, we can't dwell on that thought for very long, as I couldn't help but notice another article at the same place, which began going something like this:

"The Washington Free Beacon has obtained a report soon to be released by the United Nations that calls for an international campaign of legal attacks and economic warfare on a group of American companies that do business in Israel, including Hewlett-Packard, Caterpillar Inc., and Motorola Solutions Inc."

and continues with:

"The Human Rights Council (HRC), a body dominated by Islamic countries and known for its hostility to, and heavy focus on, the Jewish State, issued the report. The George W. Bush administration refused to participate in the HRC, but President Barack Obama joined it soon after taking office. Members of the HRC include infamous human rights abusers such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Libya, China, and Cuba.

 The Obama-approved body maintains a “Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories [sic].” The current rapporteur is American college professor Richard Falk, a 9/11 “truther” who once posted an anti-Semitic cartoon on his personal blog."

But allow me to get back to this business -- where is the president on this shocker?  Mr. " I'm all about Jobs, American Jobs, American Companies, American Competitiveness, American Stock" -- what are you planning on doing about this?  Holy Toledo.

And speaking of Toledo --  the two candidates are tied up in Ohio at 48%.  BUT -- did you hear?  Apparently, Chrysler is thinking about shipping the making of 'ALL or SOME' of it's JEEP line to CHINA.  I would hold up on that early vote until you find out more....you can start HERE.

Just think, Obama was out there on the campaign trail just yesterday and didn't say a word about it. huh.

Paul Bedard, of the Washington Examiner, mentions the president, the auto-bailout, a number of times, including this highlight:

"Obama is such a fan of Jeep that he included a picture of himself speaking at the Toledo plant in his newly released second term agenda binder. In his address to the plant in 2011, Obama said, 'I just took a short tour of the plant and watched some of you putting the finishing touches on the Wrangler. Now, as somebody reminded, I need to call it the 'iconic' Wrangler. And that's appropriate because when you think about what Wrangler has always symbolized. It symbolized freedom, adventure, hitting the open road, never looking back.'"

Well now -- looking back to that comment and Chrysler's new reality -- is that irony smacking the president right in the face with a few bumps in the road?   So prophetic, isn't it?   "I need to call it 'iconic' Wrangler" -- ya got that right given that Jeep is as good as gone baby gone in another year.  

But hey, the President keeps saying he is a 'man we can trust' so he must be trustworthy because he also says he 'always says what he means, and means what he says, and trust matters'.  [...that is just the G crib notes of every speech made since the last debate]  

...And only then does the same president spend the rest of his speech ridiculing his opponent about frivolous things that are either not true, misunderstood, exaggerated, or ridiculous.  He can't really talk about his message, or his policies, or his record, because nothing  has worked.  Scratch that -- it's worked -- but only on paper. It sounds good, anyway.

Speaking of things askew -- the polls are a fine example.  Up until now, most polls were dramatically pulling in Obama's favor across the board, mostly because they over-polled the democrats, and under-polled the independents and republicans.  Which is so strange...  I wonder if the operative being a liberal college or think tank has anything to do with it?

But notice how, as the election gets closer, the polling has made dramatic shifts and swings in Romney's favor.  What's happening?  A little thing called long-term investment:  the numbers need to be accurate, otherwise, the pollster loses all credibility.  If bias warps the reality, nobody would pay any attention to them next time around.

For example:  Consider the polling of the so-called and so-contrived "women's gap;" this hypothesis never had a chance.  The reality is we live in a wonderful world AND we, the people,  lean just right of center -- that being on most things political and economical and cultural [it's roughly a 60-40 split].  This means, when you get down to business, there are slightly more women who lean right.  The early numbers just didn't add up right from the start.   And on a personal note: Poll me! I've been voting all my life and have yet to get the call.

AND Obama refers to Romney as the big "bullsh&^%ter"....yeah right.  okay.

What I find troublesome, is the realization that this president -- in the natural, when he's confident in his surroundings -- really thinks Romney is a bullsh&*ter and is not afraid to say so.  He looks upon the guy's business experience with contempt; he thinks his ideas for economic change are simply too broad, not specific, and that must mean he's got nothing and he's just full of bull.   

Piecing together the last few months of this presidency, the more disenchanted and disappointed I get.  I think to myself, just how in the world did this happen?   

President Obama reveals "little to none" in the firm reliance department of understanding America's true corporate identity; for the words of our founders crafted exceptionalism and enterprise into our foundation with broad, magnificent, strokes, even though every word was carefully selected and meaningful to the core.

Now, I've got something really good to share from one of my favorite essays in the world, Compensation; it's timeless, thoughtful, and terrific -- and comes from the incredibly, creative spirit that is Ralph Waldo Emerson. [And I've quoted this passage before...circa March 2012...but it's so good, the repeat is totally worthy]  Here you go:

"All things are double, one against another. — Tit for tat; an eye for an eye; a tooth for a tooth; blood for blood; measure for measure; love for love. — Give and it shall be given you. — He that watereth shall be watered himself. — What will you have? quoth God; pay for it and take it. — Nothing venture, nothing have. — Thou shalt be paid exactly for what thou hast done, no more, no less. — Who doth not work shall not eat. — Harm watch, harm catch. — Curses always recoil on the head of him who imprecates them. — If you put a chain around the neck of a slave, the other end fastens itself around your own. — Bad counsel confounds the adviser. — The Devil is an ass.

I play a game with myself when I read Emerson -- depending upon what is going on in my life, something different jumps out...even if I am reading the same passage, pausing at the same paragraph, with the same words in front of me.

Today, that thing is this: "He that watereth, shall be watered himself."  

Our Declaration of Independence is perhaps the most beautiful thing in the world!  For look what it made!  And yet, to read it, it doesn't come with any specifics...It  just 'watereth.'

Now isn't that something..remember how we started...how an itty bitty bumper sticker can lead to.... incorporation.... which can lead to capitalization ....which can lead to expansion.... which can lead to Emerson ....which can lead to the contagion to start a new day.  In idea form, it's called free enterprising -- as it's all about action and attitude hitting the open road.

Business is Great

People are Terrific

Life is Wonderful

In a free market, we call it just the beginning to something called compensation. Evidently, for our president, it stops at the corner of  'too much bull and broad' to fully comprehend, let alone DO without a bad attitude (or is it bad intentions? bwahahahahah)
