It's a Day of Repentance Thing

Dear America,

"We can speak so confidently about the outcome of all your human problems because we know that all human life is governed by a divine law, perfect in its outworking,  The purpose of that law is to draw all men and women , all the human family, into a consciousness of God.  Do not look backwards unless to say, 'How beautiful is the path that I have traversed!'  Do not regret the past.  You are moving forward, travelling life's path to find happiness once again, and this time an enhanced happiness."
The Quiet Mind

so let's get right to it.

it must be said that over the last couple of days and blogs, little ole Gthang has hardly been Rated G.

and there is no response to it, other than to say this -- this girl much prefers to stay on the side of poise and grace.  And even though the results are in at Rasmussen, showing Teflon Don to now be in the lead after Sunday's stunning debate performance (and I mean, performance), it is all too soon to tell, as the polling came before a few women have come forward claiming sexual assault against him (Of course, one of these claims seems suspect, as it happened like thirty years ago...Oh sure, now you screw him....why now lady?  why speak up now?  who got to you? but i digress, bigly).

But more than anything else these days -- there is not a day that goes without being in constant prayer.  It's as if God is the only one I truly talk to (sometimes, this girl goes through Jesus -- sometimes the Holy Spirit -- but more often than not, it's right to the Source of all things Good, and that is God).

It's called travelling with the Trinity to infinity and beyond, right...

When my day began, and I saw the numbers @Rasmussen, my first thought was 'oh thank you, Lord."

The second thought swiftly followed, returning to a recurring thought of the last 24 hours -- and that was the story of Tim Tebow.   (Now, it wasn't the first time this dude laid his hands on someone and quite possibly, saved his life...)

That being said, let's go to my third thought -- sending a message to Trump; to plead for a meeting between the two T's for a "come to Jesus" moment.   It's like, what could it hurt, right?  (And I did!)

Even though from my position, as an outsider looking in, the truth and fiction of how one man lives is on the one hand none of my business -- on the other hand, Trump is making it my business by asking me and all Americans to trust him with our lives and our fortunes......

.......just as Hillary and Bill Clinton have done time and time again!

For the Clinton's may appear together as a couple -- but really, they are a political machine;  they have been a pair in the public eye for decades now, and together, have dodged and weaved with the unscrupulous the entire time.  How dare the hypocrisy of the Clinton's still standing continue to flaunt and gloat over the American landscape, rolling in and out of the hills and  valleys like no other.  If anything else, we must applaud the Donald in his very ability to stay the course, steadfast and, more or less, unrepentant....and more important, courageously fighting for America.

It was about a year ago when my prayers realized that so much of what will happen in this election is out of my hands, and in the hands of Something Greater.   But by allowing ourselves to recognize God is in charge, it certainly doesn't relinquish the duty which stands before every American -- which is to do everything humanly possible to affect the change in Washington that we so much desire.

The thing is:  America was never intended to be a nation under one man (or woman) "fixing us" all the live long day; no.

America was designed Under God, a Divine Providence that would shelter us and love us and shape us and expand us and nurture us and make us great in a spirit of grace and humility; wealth and happiness organically and integrally tied to our individual efforts -- and when combined, creating the exceptional nation that is America, and unlike any other in history. (Neither a statement of gloat or of superiority -- merely a statement of truth; because for the first time in world history, a country raised the power of the individual over the governing body.)

and just look at us, it's an embarrassment.

"Ignorance leads Men
into a party,
and Shame keeps them
from getting out again."
Benjamin Franklin

He also said:
"The Things which hurt, instruct."

Ouch.
It stings a little, huh.

This, in part,  is how my little g sees GOD...for it is our own humanity that leads us astray, and it is in these life lessons learned that either makes us great again, or takes us down --  deep into misery with free abandon.

It always comes down to the choices we make as one person, each connected to the whole.

Our founders were the masterminds of certain truths learned through the ages -- truths of Rome, of Greece, of times and civilizations gone by, and they landed on a system of governing that recognized Divinity OVER US and guiding the INDIVIDUAL in the every day, leaving merely a small government to oversee the order of things, and chiefly, to keep guard and hold a watchful eye over the birth and life of our sovereign nation.  Here's to one of their muses, Cicero:

Therefore Law [of the Creator] is the distinction between things just and unjust, made in agreement with that primal and most ancient of all things, Nature; and in conformity to Nature's standard are framed those human laws which inflict punishment upon the wicked and protect the good..

As one and the same Nature holds together and supports the universe, all of whose parts are in harmony with one another, so men are united in Nature; but by reason of their depravity they quarrel, not realizing that they are of one blood and subject to one and the same protecting power.  If this fact were understood, surely man would live the life of the gods!"  Thank you, Cicero

America has been led down a rabbit hole of Nature's making not because Divine Providence predestined America to fail, but simply by and in accordance to perfect Natural Law.  The free will of our humanity made this mess, and God simply saw it coming.  Just as God knows who the next president of the United States is, too.  tee hee

When we return to words of a blog that seems like ages ago now - -  Spring Up, Oh Well! -- it is to call upon the living water on earth and everywhere to act, to say, to do, that which is good, that which is right, in all ways -- large and small.  And if we do that much, America will prevail.

Whatever happens on November 8, 2016, it will surely go down as the culmination of the most raucous of election cycles,  to date.  And it is probably pretty safe to say that no one in America is proud of the optics, whether the perspective comes from heaven above or below or sea level, right or left.

The truth is, we are corrupt.  We have been corrupted in every which way possible, and back again.  And it didn't start in 2015, it didn't start in 2005....it started a long, long time ago.  Let not your heart be troubled, and let not the media mayhem distract you from the truth underfoot -- the choice is clear.

We are in one sticky wicket and perhaps we all need a come to Jesus moment (and if it's not Jesus, go to the Supreme Being of your choice, or stay in silence -- whatever -- just let the rest of us repent in peace for a moment or two, please and thank you).

Pray for Trump; pray for America.  And vote.

Let's close with one more from Ben:

"Great beauty,
great strength,
and great riches
are really
and truly
of no great use;
a right heart exceeds all."

Make it a Good Day, G

Here's a riddle: if a boy goes in for a kiss and the girl slaps him back, which assault wins in court?

It's a Day to Love Thing

Dear America,

I love you.

I love you all.

really, I do.

Will you be mine?

happy valentine's day everybody

and I wish, above all things seen and unseen, the world could revolve and evolve solely upon love.

Having said that,
I also wish narcissistic, elitist, political deception could cease and desist, like yesterday.

Now I do love what this woman stands for, don't get me wrong.

I have read some of her books, and can honestly claim to have been a righteous follower since the nineties.

And, given her message is driven by finding the authentic, spiritual being inside, illuminating "A Return to Love," and centered upon the laws of universal acceptance, forgiveness, love and peace as we go about living our human experience with one another -- my first expectation is a simple one, Marianne -- at least begin presenting one's self to the political arena from a position of honesty right from the start.  Okay?

Now before taking this any further, allow me to commend Zack Munson, of The Weekly Standard, for his effort to go into the world of Marianne with such a magnificent spirit of acceptance and open mindedness; immersing himself into the unknown with a willingness to bring to light a new generation of political thought and capture the integrity of a campaign dripping with elements of absurdity, took courage and probably a lot of patience.

But boy, he did it; and did it well.

But I digress.

Getting back to my wish for world peace and honesty through and through...

this is what I am tired of seeing...

The notion that someone can pass themselves off as "independent" when, in fact, being knee deep in the law of deception, no less, are a freaking left-wing, elitist with money to burn and an agenda to sell who wholeheartedly embraces the progressive ideals and policy that reflect an independent spirit hell-bent on burying America with an income redistribution make-over, a stranglehold of climate-changing regulations take-over, all while making a mockery of our Rule of Law, Nature's Law, this beautiful country was founded.

Sure, this part sounds real good:

“Today’s average American is more apt to rebel against a tennis shoe not coming in the right color than against the slow erosion of our democratic freedoms,” she declares. “Today, most Americans are too cynical, or tired, or both, to even approximate our Founders’ courageous repudiation of injustice."

Munson continues quoting the girl's vision, adding this:

"Don’t get me wrong,” she says with a smile, “capitalism has been good to me. But what is happening today is that too many people can’t get in the club, there has to be enough access. There has to be enough access to opportunity for America to be a stable democracy.” All in all, she exudes an aura of moderation, and her frequent references to America’s most popular political icons only add to it. “The Constitution doesn’t mention political parties; Washington warned us against them,” she declares. “JFK said, ‘Let us not seek a Republican answer or a Democratic answer. Let us seek an American answer.’ ”

oh okay.
so what's the catch?

I will copy for you Munson's immediate reply:

"What, then, is the American answer that Marianne Williamson seeks? Well, despite the promise of her campaign’s slogan to “Create Anew,” it is pretty much warmed-over, social-justice, progressive, liberal blah blah blah, with a little California crunchy-wackadooism thrown in. Prison reform, climate change, shutting down nuclear power plants, and ending the “corruption of the food supply” are high on her list of priorities. Above all else, she is intent on getting the money out of politics and views Citizens United, the 2010 Supreme Court decision easing restrictions on campaign contributions, as perhaps the greatest threat to democracy that America has ever faced. But even while condemning both political parties and the state of our democratic system in general, while complaining about incarceration rates and Monsanto and “moneyed interests,” she somehow still sounds quite reasonable, lacking the stridency of MSNBC and the outright incoherence of the now-defunct Occupy movement (RIP). After just a few minutes, I can’t deny that Williamson is a knockout of a candidate: smart, eloquent, passionate, and considerably more telegenic than her, um, rodentine predecessor.

She is good, isn't she?

[BTW that "rodentine predecessor" being  Henry Waxman, who is not seeking re-election to California's 33rd District]

I love that part about "a little California crunchy-wackadooism;"  it's so true, isn't it?  I am not ashamed to admit some of that of myself.

But how ironic, the "moneyed interests" abound, don't they?

Moreover,  given the claim of party "independence" -- aren't you committing some sort of universal campaign fraud?

In the meantime, can't we all get along, Marianne?
If we are all spiritual beings having this human experience together, the embrace of those who differ from your world view must be heeded and respected, too, no?  Be it your belief in the ongoing fraud through climate change regulations, that being the evolution of the great equalizer afoot, or the condemnation of Citizens United, organizing and uniting for change of a different stroke -- don't kid yourself and tell it like it really is -- you, Marianne, are a card carrying progressive with only one ideological embrace in mind.  "Independent" my ass.

And yet -- from my spirit to yours, Marianne --  I love you, too.  I love how you are out there changing perceptions and making waves, even if it's simply a California ripple, ebbing and flowing off the Santa Monica pier.  Of course, there is plenty more to say about some of the things highlighted in Zack's piece.  And maybe I will one day soon.

But speaking of Zack -- I just might love you more, Zack Munson; mean it; you are brilliant and you made my day.

And I love YOU, too, whoever you are, out there, reading my daily dribble from time to time.

And for anyone who is passing by the old G Thing here today, please read the entire piece featured on The Weekly Standard to get a feel for this case of California wackadooism to it's fullest.   It will make your day, too... if open to that sort of thing, that is...

and upon this day, especially...

this day, the syrupy sweet essence that is Valentine's...

this day, a day embracing the sweeping, effervescence that celebrates love all around us...[for some, it's conditional...but don't get me started...]

this day is yours to make [or break...cuz free will makes it so].

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Spinning a New Pope of Hope Thing

Dear America,

So we may be searching for a new Pope of Hope...

when it comes to worshiping idols, the demonstrably partisan, richly divisive, and oh so lovely loquacious lefties seem to be losing their religion these days; it has been in waves, but the growing numbers of discontent, the disproportionate lot breaking away from the rose colored tide, is cresting. [G note: wish I wrote this...worth a read now or later, take your pick]

But moving on, you watch; it will happen and it will happen soon...

Hillary will be the one crowned to return order to the pure chaos running amuck in the kingdom.

If I were running a campaign against "Obama" -- I would be switching gears right now.  He is not the one we need to beat, just you wait.

And I wouldn't make light of it either; my campaign strategies would appear like a deliberate, overt, about face.

And no, this feeling that's come over me isn't just because of Steve Chapman, duh, the talk of the town and a journalist out of the Chicago Tribune, who simply had the courage to speak his mind.  Read This.

It's been an eery feeling building up for quite some time now.

And yesterday, when I linked to THIS article from The Blaze at the very tail end, who would have thought I could take it to the next level on the very next day....oooooh yeah, that's right, me.  If this gets out, women everywhere will want to have his head (of course, NOT literally).

And how about the rantings of leftwing pundits and liberal intellectual elites beginning to freely question their own king? Calling out the PANIC button even...Carville hit that.

Beginning with the first sign of ripples in the water.... the nearly trillion dollar stimulus package didn't work.... while the second stimulus, nearing another half a trillion dollars, doesn't stand a chance; put it all together along with the sharks in the water beginning to circle --

"there is good news for the president. I checked the Constitution, and he is under no compulsion to run for re-election" (nod to Chapman);

“[It] actually fit all of the classic legal requirements for a genuinely hostile workplace to women,”(nod to Anita Dunn via The Blaze);

"[What] should the White House do now? One word came to mind: Panic” (with the hat trick nod to Carville);

-- all making way for the flourishing finish:  Plan C.  Clinton to the second power, in all her glory.

And let's just say, IF she jumps in, the mainstream media will be dropping Barack like a rock.  Can't wait to watch that smooth transition...but I digress.

Actually, if I were to really go back into the deep dark abyss of the world wide web, it was Obama, himself, who ventured to go where no one would fear to tread first -- when he said this:
“Michelle and the kids are wonderful in that if I said, `You know, guys, I want to do something different,’ they’d be fine,” Obama said in an interview with NBC News that aired Tuesday morning on “Today.” “They’re not invested in Daddy being president or my husband being president."  per Obama, from an article on Politico, in June 2011

Setting yourself up for a fall, huh Humpty Dumpty?  ...for all the king's horses and all the king's men...

So the new script, the latest leftist shift, is to create the very conditions to overthrow the current leader with a new one in such a way that still saves face; making it look like a natural occurrence and replacing the spontaneous combustion of the old guard by slipping into a perfect rendition of simply more of the same -- only in a skirt  make that a pantsuit.

It's beautiful, really.  Brilliant. Like diamonds dancing on the water inviting us into the deep blue sea.

The GOP needs to be all over this girl starting right now.

Perhaps it is the GOP who needs to panic.

Will the GOP hear the warning bells in time?

Who will make the best Odysseus up against the sirens of a leftwinged goddess like Hillariosyeus? yes. corny. stupid. silly.  From one man's kingdom is another man's prison.   From Humpty Dumpty to Homer. Whatever.  G, as usual, is all over the globe.  but it's my blog and I can do what I want to, say what I want to, you ,too, can cry if you want to cry too. la la la lala  Besides, I've got beeswax in my ears and won't hear a thing.

Make it a Good Day, G

the only thing that will prevent another democratic contender like a Hill/Bill round two, will be Obama himself.  Phrasing it in such a way we all understand:  if his EGO is too big to fail, he will insist on staying put... if he cares more for his party, and the agenda in play, HE will step down.  But we shall see, won't we...we shall see.

I really hope I am wrong on this one.

I have been wanting to get into America's Job Act, but have found myself distracted, under the spell, mesmerized by all the other hands in play.  Oh we will get there, we shall overcome (maybe...depending upon the ever-changing tide) But if you want to take a moment to read the bill yourself, go here.  Talk about hilarious; but thank goodness this one is only 199 pages.

Last thing:  This is funny.  The IMF has lowered it's forecast on America's economic future; we've been downgraded by the IMF.  sound the alarms.  One more reason Hillary should jump into the pool.

It's a Same Old Rhetoric Doesn't Fly, It Goes by Bus Thing

Dear America,

just consider me a figment of your imagination over the next two weeks; some days I may swoop in, while on others, I may be long gone; it's called vacation.  Family is flying in, my baby girl is down to her last fourteen days of freedom, and with any hope, the furthest thing from my mind will be the state of affairs according to a day in the life of an American girl.  But you know how it goes...just never know when the mood might strike back in a flash blog of another realm...even a round of cocktails by the pool may not be enough to shut me up.

Our dear president has promised us that he intends to begin his vacation momentarily; he just has to get a little politics out of the way first, enlisting his brand new state of the art pair of bullet proof buses to help him do it.

But I am not here to focus on how much we, the taxpayers, had to pay for this little shenanigan pulled off in the fast lane -- so many have done so ad nauseum already; I am also not going to focus on how he is attempting to mask a 'campaign or bust' scheme as a jobs creation magical mystery tour either -- as again, it's been done.  It's been done so much so that we are all in the back seat spilling our cookies into brown paper bags by now.

Nope.  I am merely going to take about two minutes out of your precious waning summer days to give you an update on Obamacare from our president's own words:

"By the way,
I have no problem with folks
saying Obama cares.
I do care --
if the other side
wants to be the folks that don't care,
that's fine with me."

that's how he looks at it anyway...during a stop somewhere in Minnesota, when the president made a few remarks on The Affordable Care Act, which is routinely tossed around the back of the bus like a beach ball as "Obamacare."  For more details on that, you can go here.

You see what he wants you to believe is that the 'other side' doesn't care.  Did you get that?  Yeah, of course you did. And did you get a good roll of hysterics down the hill on the grass, too, like me?

The new problem for Obamacare -- if not ObamaHope, and ObamaChange, and ObamaFundamentalTransformation, if not Obama himself --  is that he can't run the same campaign as in 2008, now can he?

He is faced with having to run like every other full fledged seasoned (if not used) politician; he has to run on his record, of all things --  on the merits of his decisions to date -- brushed up against every speech and promise and insinuation, matching rhetoric against rhetoric, circling the details from bumper to bumper.  ['just show me the CarFax' has got nothing on the Czar Fax, or Omnibus Facts, or Obamacare Fraud Facts, or the StimulusMinima-list to name just a few]

The people have been around the block with this guy --  and now,  more than once or twice.

We have kicked the retreads of a socialist kind, and have clearly come up short.

But here is Obama just yesterday...convinced that the same-old same-old recycled version can be received with the same sense of confidence and enthusiasm as before -- much like a round of Row Row Row Your Boat with the second verse same as the first, for about the hundredth time from the backseat of the family van, with not a potty break in sight.  Is he that seriously out of touch?  Is he that out of range of the American people, that he thinks we can listen to more of that and simply go, 'yeah, right, those other guys really don't care...doinky do dee do...never heard that before...'?  really?  seriously?

Then, what makes the moment all the more awkward is for the politician to not even hear himself -- for in nearly the next breath he is calling Obamacare originally a republican idea -- making a conciliatory nod to RomneyCare...and laughing it all off in his little head thinking we all swallowed it hook, line and sinker along side the rainbow trout.

That is a good one, Mr. President.  So, to sum it all up:  "you care, they [we] don't  -- and republicans should get the credit for obamacare, for they started it doncha know." You must be tripping on something really good; perhaps it's time to open a window to the real world.

Okay, so now where are we at?
You are Here; and Here is Obama, creator of the ObamaBusLines, maker of ObamaCare and proud of it; great --  for what a beautiful spot to stop for a picnic.

Make it a Good Day, G

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Dear America,

Oh I get it, keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

Splendid strategy.  I should have known all along.  Oh Obama, you had me fooled, I thought all this time you were just scared of making the wrong decision; but its not that at all, you are just plum scared.

Usually when running scared there is overcompensation to disguise the fright, so as to not give way to any hint of weakness or vulnerability.  But you sir, raised in Chicago, know this drill quite well.  You win through tactics of intimidation, carrying a big stick-- sticking it in places it doesn't belong, hitting the soft spots of your adversaries, and knowing just when to say when, eventually turning the game if not by pure talent but through the long and tiresome road to attrition.

Many battles are won on such odds of the last man standing.

And yet watching you, I must admit you carry this strategy to an art form; and not only for the causes we face front and center, but also in this ability of yours to just be everywhere, whether in campaign mode for the DNC, campaign mode at military installations, campaign mode in the Rose Garden with Doctors in white coats, and even campaign mode for upcoming elections -- even if at the risk of a potential rout or loss of reputation.

If I could make a suggestion, and don't mind if I do, aside from what happened in Copenhagen, quite honestly campaign mode isn't really working for you.  I mean, how many times can you pretty much say the same thing and not actually follow it up with some kind of action?

And I have to wonder, just how uncomfortable it must have been for you standing in front of all those men and women in uniform on Monday, while in Jacksonville.  I mean, how many ways can you basically say, 'it's not you, it's me' and get away with it, you know?  They are standing right there...awkward.

But there you are with the flag on the lapel flapping your mouth with the top ten reasons you must wait to make your decision, again, and somehow say so in front of the boys and girls who entrust you with their life --for their country no less -- and say it so convincingly that they truly believe you, again.

You do know that they know what is said in the papers, and more importantly what even their own generals have asked you for, right?  You do know that they know that it wasn't that long ago when you announced a plan -- that being the plan in March -- and the bold, swift direction you came to with the help of input from the previous administration, the assistance of Generals, and a firm commitment of the entire Defense Department.  You had all of us at anchor's away, you know.

Speaking for myself, we were all quite proud of the immediate attention thrown in the direction of tending to the Afghanistan War on Terror; it was kind of like that second day in office when you essentially closed Guantanamo Bay overnight -- well sort of, it's kinda closed, we can pretty much cross that off the list...right?

But in offering another suggestion, it may be to your best interests to lay low on future installations or the cracking of champagne over a bow, just until you decide a course of action.  One can't be too sure what kind of audience is waiting for you, we would hate to have them 'boo' or scream 'you lie' marching to the beat of a real general.  You understand, no?

Clearly, campaigning comes easy to you; and not at a moment too soon in some cases, as some of those governor races are pretty tight.  Well, one of them is pretty tight, the other is a blow out, but no sense counting the elephants before they hatch, right.  We all know how ACORN works a little bit of voodoo.

But what is it with you, anyway?  How do you do it?  What with everything you have on your plate...
things like convincing  particular insurance industry holdouts to bend over on Health Care, calling the Chamber of Commerce names for lack of support of what -- a couple of things, vilifying the FOX News organization for keeping it real, commending the honorable Floridian representative Alan Grayson in light of his calling your own Economic Advisor a "K street whore," all while sensing your friendship with China a tad more important than a meeting with the Dalai Lama -- choosing the economic loss of position vs a spiritual gain of unparalleled opportunity.

What you campaign for and when fascinates me to no end.

And of course my favorite question, who pays for that?  Just who pays for the trips to San Francisco for dinner and lunches in Florida -- along with fly-by's in New Orleans and stumping in New Jersey, no need to mention the Virginia trip --that's just a metro ride away -- but other than that, who buys?  Who pays for things like hopping over the pond to campaign in Copenhagen -- does the Chicago Olympic Committee reimburse us for that...does Oprah... or what?

Okay Okay, no need to get defensive, they're just questions, geeze.

Oh my, if we are seeing you do this kind of regiment campaigning within the first nine months, I can only imagine how many miles you would accumulate on the company card if only you qualified -- perhaps you would have given it all away to charity like you intend to do with the 1.4 million dollars (say it with the pinkie to the chin) from the Nobel Peace Prize Patrol.  You know, that is the one thing you didn't campaign for (at least you, yourself) and yet, you won! Go figure.

Funny too, as this nomination came in just after two weeks in office -- you must have done something really special, do tell when you have a moment. Oh, that's right, it was bestowed upon you in anticipation of the potential peace you may bring unto the world; by comparison, wouldn't Miss America carry the same weight  as to any and all likelihood of that happening -- I mean, if anyone is all about bringing world peace, she'd be the one, no?

Of course, what with the saturation of the HOPE poster, along with the new presidential icon you plaster all over the place -- the big O with fields of grain and the American Eagle fading off into the sunset --  its a wonder you really have to campaign at all; you're like VISA®, accepted everywhere and often, which I guess is just the way you like it.

Wow.
It must feel so good to be you; you know, being the victor of the latest and greatest Obama Nation, the director of the  IMAX® Obama Rama theater, and while -- like you always say it's not always about you -- it certainly remains all about the O, oh you adorable man. Damn, life is good, ain't nothing but a gthang.

Until such time you have to make a decision, aw snap.

Then of course your thin skin will be hard pressed to come to terms with the answer most probable to please the masses while at the same instant not to offend a rogue dictator or two; and if all else fails, eventually beating us all off with a stick if we don't like what you decide.

Excellent strategy.
I give you three years,
eighteen months if you can't grow a little huevos rancheros in your pantalones.

Make it a Good Day, G

You know, Saddam Hussein had a poster.
