It's Old is the New New Thing

Dear America,

this morning finds me captivated by dual realities...

the reality of what we see happening in our daily lives, alongside the greater reality of something really huge -- that being, that which God wills.

When we really come to know, deep down, that our world is shaped by a Higher Will, a Higher Purpose under heaven, so to speak, we finally arrive at that quintessential, emotional point of light.

We release,

Pressure is off.

We breathe into our day and are rest assured all is well -- and if not all is well, then most definitely, all is not done (yet).

It's by this kind of faith -- for those of us traveling a belief system set forth at our country's founding--  we find relief, even as our whole entire world seems to be on fire.

This makes me think of my latest discovery here at home.

And for a little background first --

my days and evenings usually end in the same spot:  at my window --

at my window, overlooking the grounds covered in eucalyptus and pine, jacaranda and oleander, natural sagebrush, red apple ice plant,  a busy city street, and a Starbucks.

I keep a stash of some of my favorite reads for inspiration -- Bible, The Quiet Mind, Essential Thinkers by Thomas Paine, As a Man Thinketh by James Allen...

Morning comes, and my path takes me directly from the kitchen, with a cup of coffee fresh in hand, to the window.  And it is there I stop... for as long as it takes (he he).

Evening comes, and again,  my path takes me directly from the kitchen, with a glass of wine (or whiskey!) fresh in hand, to the window.  And again, it is there, I stop ...for as long as it takes

Point is, my days start and stop at the same spot nearly every darned day.  And while I don't get into my personal whirlwind all that much -- consciously keeping more fully engaged with the politics and paradigms and propaganda of our times -- today, I will veer just a wee bit from the common G. (What a treat, right?)

so anywho,
As the world turns, the day may start and stop at the same spot, but perspective is constantly in flux.  What a joy!   And what a curse!  And what a beautiful life it truly is!

SO --
A couple of weeks ago -- while enjoying a spring break with nearly nothing to do.  I did exactly that --nothing.   All week long, I "putzed"  around the house -- doing what I like to call, re-decorating.  But let's be real, shall we -- it's merely just moving things around.  [Never discount a change in perspective...no matter how little or how small, even if we must manufacture it virtually out of thin air from within.]

And I napped.  I cooked, only minimally -- but somehow seemed to eat all day long.

And I didn't even think about writing.   Not even once.

So for the week, I pretty much lounged -- I lounged in the good ole California sunshine as if without a care in the world.  [And for those who really know me KNOW that I have a few cares in the world going on all around me...most of which I have absolutely no control, much like the brunt of us, am I right?]

And perhaps, due to my empty nest syndrome going on within my four walls these days, it has left a void to fill; leaving ample room to mull and contemplate and basically freak over just how intense the trials of the entire world have grown from day to day.

So for many days in the last several months, let's just say, it was easy for the window to find me sad.

Buried by the natural, yet conflicting emotions, of having my baby girl living on the opposite side of the country --  it has become rather easy to get lost in the thoughts of what is lost.

And yet, given that I live for being the Half-Full Kind of Girl to the umpteenth degree, I revel in what is changing for both myself and my girl.  How beautiful it is in every way.

So here I am, in this reality of fighting with my own reality, but loving it at the same time, but sensing an inner turmoil always at the ready to bubble to the surface -- I often sit.

Only, while on this spring break, I broke with tradition.

I made my way all the way to the front stoop.

I sat myself out in the open air, where the sweeping branches of the eucalyptus tree nearly reach out and touch me.  And while I sat there, letting the morning sun warm my heart and soul I looked up.

And just as I do from my window, my thoughts went to prayers of thanksgiving, prayers for my needs, and plenty of prayers for my dreams.  And just as it usually happens, I end up just pleading for the courage to just follow "Thy will."  Just let me know what to do and I'll do it, I cry out from the spirit of my inner child of God.

And it was on one of these days -- outside -- away from the comfort and convention of my window seat, that something all of a sudden shakes me to the very core.  For as I looked up, I saw it.

Unbeknownst to me,  there it was -- perched above the cornerstone of my window,  amounting to a mere few feet above my head but apparently an infinite number of degrees in separation -- a nest.

And instantly, I laugh.

I get a little hysterical actually.  And I couldn't stop laughing.

I laughed until I cried.

And I  thought to myself, oh this is rich.  Ripe for the taking, the immediate symbolism left me utterly stunned.

But then, feeling every bit of my fifty somethen somethen somethen years and fully recognizing a crossroad when I see it   -- either the universe was rubbing it in my face with aplomb and a side of bird doo  OR, it was sending me a message, a gift, a blessing of a new perspective, verily filling my void with a tangible, natural, beautiful expression of a full nest. Boom.

Clearly, it was what I needed in that moment; it was an offering, a gentle reminder of the organic possibilities of the circle of life and love,.. no matter how large or how small, and even if we must manufacture it virtually out of thin air from within.  Because, half-full is better than nothing.

The thing is, if we stop long enough, and keep our mouth shut long enough, we are supported by Something far greater than we can ever really imagine.  It's the Stuff that which all life comes. And It usually sends us exactly what we need -- and more than that, in equal portion to our needs, matching our efforts, our attitude of gratitude and grace.

Contemplating the conflicting multiple personalities and realities in America, alongside that which we all dream it to be, is a matter of great debate.

And when I say great, I mean really Great.

Somehow, we must remain steadfast in our faith in Something Larger than Life at the top, orchestrating a Higher Purpose for it all, and let go.

Creation is always in flux;  there is a reason for the trials, just as much as there is a reason for our joys.  We win some and lose some, and then start all over again.

Sure, there is always what I like to call "the good fight" -- withIn and withOut, but truth is, our realities are really not in conflict at all.   It's all good; it's all God; and it's always in flux when discussing anything involving being human.

There was most certainly a reason for the Revolutionary War; just as there was a reason for the Civil War.   It's all good at work.

There is a reason for the culture war happening today and at the core of perhaps the most trying era in American history since the 60's -- and how it all ends will remain to be seen -- it's all being busy right now, wrestling with that which is most certainly unseen.

With the winds of change,  perspective shifts, actions of vigilance move us, nests are built and even re-imagined, while a sense of revival gives us courage and strength to give it our very best in each new day.

It's what we all live for, right.

On another subject -- even though we have always known negotiating with terrorists is NEVER a good idea --   now, gaining perspective on the possible war with Iran as we are right in the middle of negotiating a total bend over on the Nuke deal, should give us all reason for pause, on a number of fronts.  But we will have to shelve that for another day, for things here were just looking up and we were having such a good day getting all introspective and all.  [But if you care... here's more on that, if you dare to look.]

Let's go back to what we live for...

Love your kids.

Teach them well.

Do your best.

Teach your kids to do their best, too.

And so on,

And all the while, here's something funny I recently came across; and given all the choices at my discretion, in the end,  it just might be the best way to come to a full stop and sit at the proverbial window and contemplate :

OLD
is the new
NEW
yup.

In so many ways....the reality is, it just might be.

It's a Dishonourable Terrorist Trade for a Traitor Thing

Dear America,

oh wow
let me get this straight...
the president negotiated with terrorists?

All exchange being immediately suspect and alarming --

America gains the return of a prisoner of war, Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the only soldier having been taken captive (since 2009)  -- while the terrorists, of the Haqqani Network, gain five Guantanamo Bay detainees:  Mohammad Fazl, Mullah Norullah Noori, Mohammed Nabi, Khairullah Khairkhwa, and Abdul Haq Wasiq.

Oh this is rich...
As noted via Fox News --  "Under the conditions of their release, the detainees will be banned from traveling outside of Qatar for at least one year."  wonderful.

Now, just to be clear, the tally according to the Common Core scorecard:  5 to 1, advantage going to senior Taliban leaders.

And possibly something even more disconcerting just might be summed up by a couple of senior members of congress:
“Like all Americans, we celebrate the release of Sergeant Bergdahl,” California Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe, the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in a joint statement.
“However, we must carefully examine the means by which we secured his freedom. America has maintained a prohibition on negotiating with terrorists for good reason. Trading five senior Taliban leaders from detention in Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl’s release may have consequences for the rest of our forces and all Americans.
They also argued that Obama “clearly violated laws” that require him to notify Congress 30  days before any transfer of terrorists from Guantanamo Bay and to explain how the threat posed by such terrorists has been substantially mitigated.

[In light of these arrangements -- and selfishly drawing attention now to a more local matter -- maybe the marine being held a prisoner just south of the border in Mexico --  Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi -- might finally gain the Commander-in-Chief's attention to detail...probably managing to get it done, in a perfect world, without calling in Special Forces and with just one phone call...]

But back to the Bergdahl trade, here's a second round, this time from the Washington Post:

"The law requires the defense secretary to notify relevant congressional committees at least 30 days before making any transfers of prisoners, to explain the reason and to provide assurances that those released would not be in a position to reengage in activities that could threaten the United States or its interests."
As if this sleazy arrangement with our enemy could not get any more absurd, or worse, we now go to Pamela Geller -- and might I suggest you all take a deep breath first.

AWOL Traitor Traded for Taliban Terrorists: “In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful,’’ AWOL soldier’s dad said in Arabic - See more, go here.

Read the whole thing.

I will wait...

Nothing is ever what it seems under this administration...

What's next?

Here's to answering a question with a question  -- posed by Pamela Geller back in March, she begins with this:

"If the US military doesn't know better, then who are we to trust with our defense? Ourselves. Remember that."

oh it's no big deal or anything,
It's just a post outlining how our military is hiring chaplains tied to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Like I said, no biggie.

gosh...
all of a sudden
(but no, not really; that was more for affect; just go with it, if you will)
all of a sudden,
I'm feeling like the foundation is shaking, the walls are caving, and the earth is about to open up and swallow America whole.

This is a dark day.

I remember when Saturday's used to be nothing but fun.

It's If Government Lives to See Another Day Under the Confines of Obamacare Thing

Dear America,

Oh, this diary; it's always hard taking the first few steps on the keyboard; the mind is a muddled mash pit -- having been thoroughly marinated in thoughts and thesis anywhere from a day to nearly a week.  Just how does one lowly human being bring it into proper form, determined to make it a fine tuned delicacy of consensus worthy of your time?

...especially after the week it's been, right?

It's utterly grotesque, the tricks of political trade and treason against the bounty that is America.

Keeping pace with the truth and everything that remains outside the truth, seems to be the theme on the day.  [And if we're being honest here, I'm really not sure if I can stick with this --  but will give it a  shot ...preferably with a Jack Daniel's chaser.]

At times like these, deciphering what is true and not true takes everything we've got.  Which begs the immediate, exasperated response under our breath: 'it just shouldn't be this hard' ...this thing called congress.

Here's a little something something to wet your whistle.  (It's nothing fancy, but breaks down simple ideas into bite-size nuggets, leaving the option open to delve deeper on your own time.)

Sticking to a limited, free market loving, self-reliant respecting body politic -- one that truly upholds the principles and values set forth over two hundred years ago, one that remains diligent and mindful of living within our means, one that applauds the governing aspects in keeping with our inherent checks and balances of power, and to that end, fully respecting the individual ideas that come forth -- shouldn't be this hard.

What began as a simple family recipe of five, quality, worthy ingredients has been adulterated by a gastronomic attack of all five senses -- placing quantity over quality, elevating the new hybrid chemically-enriched over what is just good food, replacing the long, evening meal shared with family around the table with a quick-serve out of a box or microwave, up against a schedule that leaves little time for real conversation.

For Ted Cruz, it became a situation that demanded we sit down and talk about it...even if that means standing for 21 hours straight, including an epic bed time read of Green Eggs and Ham.

For Harry Reid, it was all a pathetic sideshow, a big waste of time...as he clearly made known in his best mealy mouthed, thirty years of bureaucratic mediocrity, well timed verbal assault upon a fellow statesman, just oozing with arrogance and condescension.

Again, contemplating just five little words:  it shouldn't be this hard
And throwing in five more for good measure:  how did we get here?

It's like a bad case of acid-reflux.  As if we didn't know eating a half rack of baby backs swimming in sauce, cheesy-creamy scalloped potatoes made from scratch, coleslaw of cabbage and kale! thoroughly juiced in a sweet and spicy horseradish dressing, followed with a heaping serving of sticky toffee pudding (make that two)  --  wasn't going to come back to haunt us...seriously?

Are you kidding me?
Are you kidding me?

We set ourselves up for this; none of this should be any surprise at all.  For it all began, way back when, at a time when we were simply five days away from fundamental transformationAnd again.

Just what did you think FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION was going to look like? Feel like?  Taste like?

As Cruz duly noted in his statement lasting nearly an entire day, "the Senate is no longer a deliberative body."  Summing things up for you --  the right to speak and to amend legislation upon each deliberate whim, fully representative of one's own constituency,  has been thoroughly violated from within, in an effort to control debate.

Then, in proper turn, he went on to explain the points of opposition.  And there were many.  But by this time, it's like 5 am, pacific coast time, having been up since three; excuse me if I spare you on every detail, for it's a wee bit of a blur.  All I really know is that I didn't want to miss being a witness to history, and I loved every minute of it.

But funny thing, as the first one -- repealing the medical device tax -- just so happened to be an issue not of contention whatsoever (at least, in theory).   An overwhelming majority of both sides of the aisle thoroughly disapprove of it -- cue yahoo!  And rightly so!  It kills innovation and the free market at every possible chance.   But let it be known, it is the Democratic Senate who was for it, before they were against it (after the truth came out),  before they were for it again.   So who's playing to the sideshow now?

Um, telling the truth shouldn't be this hard...

Then there is this -- under the makeshift heading of Alinsky's Rules of Order: "a society devoid of compromise is totalitarian"..........

Sure, we may not all agree on things; but to say we're done talking, that negotiating any further is completely off the table, that the bill is dead upon arrival, while resorting to name calling, and throwing food if they could, is that their dignified and final answer?

Oh, and I get it...
The Senate passes the Cloture test, nearly unanimously voting to end debate 79 -19, defunding Obamacare for a split second, thereby giving congressional cover for those who may need it come re-election; but then, in an instant, like a package of freeze dried mashed potatoes, immediately removes the defunding of ObamaCare... and sends the whole mess back to the house for a re-do.  Just like Cruz called it.

"Today, far too many Republicans joined Harry Reid in giving the Democrats the ability to fund Obamacare. When the bill comes back to the Senate, when the House yet again stands for principle and fights for the American people, I very much hope that Senate Republicans will rise to the challenge. We are stronger when we are united, and we can defeat Obamacare only if Senate Republicans come together, stand with House Republicans, and champion the millions of Americans being harmed by this disastrous healthcare law."

The Senate is where the sideshow lives and breathes -- it acts much like a Kitchen-Aid stand alone mixer, massive enough to whip up a lively 300 million; but so unfortunate the color, currently only coming in baby puke.

Oh, but the NINETEEN patriots:
Crapo (R-ID)
Cruz (R-TX)
Enzi (R-WY)
Fischer (R-NE)
Grassley (R-IA)
Heller (R-NV)
Inhofe (R-OK)
Scott (R-SC)
Sessions (R-AL)
Shelby (R-AL)
Toomey (R-PA)
Vitter (R-LA)
Lee (R-UT)
Moran (R-KS)
Paul (R-KY)
Portman (R-OH)
Risch (R-ID)
Roberts (R-KS)
Rubio (R-FL)

Send them some love, maybe even a batch of cookies.

So the saga continues, with no resolution in sight.

At this present moment,  Boehner, and the people's House, has already sent it back to the Senate -- with corrections, of course.  Here's the press release.

In a nutshell,  coming out of the AP, with the headline, "Who'll blink?..."  The Associated Press confirmed congress is now closed, "after a post-midnight vote in the GOP-run House to delay by a year key parts of the new health care law and repeal a tax on medical devices, in exchange for avoiding a shutdown."

Now, there are as many ways to look at this tactic as there are pundits.

Sure, why not just let ObamaCare fall under it's own weight and let the cake tiers climb to the moon and back until it crumbles on it's own...why delay the inevitable...why not just sit this one out and watch the catastrophe in the making...let the democrats bake their own demolition cake and eat it too.   We all know it tastes like alfalfa.    There is that.  (And Rush, along with many, many others deem this to be the way to go.  And count me in.)

But then again,
and strangely enough -- as wonders never cease and Wondra never fails me --
I kinda like where Boehner is going with this:

“If the Senate stalls until Monday afternoon instead of working today, it would be an act of breathtaking arrogance by the Senate Democratic leadership.  They will be deliberately bringing the nation to the brink of a government shutdown for the sake of raising taxes on seniors’ pacemakers and children’s hearing aids and plowing ahead with the train wreck that is the president’s health care law.  The American people will not stand for it."

At this moment in time, the House has, at the very least, temporarily funded the government -- which is slated to come to a complete stop come midnight, September 30th.  Consider the "delay" of the health care mandate for individuals just part and parcel of all the delays unilaterally imposed by this president -- unconstitutionally, I might add.    The House has merely thrown a little rubber scraper of their own into the mix to slow things down, scrape the sides, see how things are blending -- because reality reveals trouble at every pulsating turn.

Love that link to Hot Air, above;  Ed Morrissey does a bang up job reporting on the administration run amok and ends posing a really good question:

"Why is Obama
bailing out employers and insurers
with delays
on mandates,
but not consumers?"

So the president can negotiate with the big guys, and even with terrorists, and even breaking the Code of Honor and Silence of thirty four years with Iran -- but not with the American people?

"A path to a meaningful agreement
will be difficult,"
Obama told reporters
at the White House
after the call.
"But I believe we've got
 a responsibility to pursue
diplomacy
and that we have a unique
opportunity
to make progress
with the new leadership
in Iran."

The president feels a strong responsibility to pursue diplomacy with crazy people, who HATE westerners, and seem hell bent on nuking our only real friend and ally in the region, Israel, but won't negotiate with the GOP for a meaningful agreement between opposing sides of congress over health care?  And Oh -- how sweet -- Obama and Rouhani exchanged "pleasantries."

"It is particularly unfortunate that President Obama would recognize the Iranian people's right to nuclear energy but not stand up for their right to freedom, human rights, or democracy."  This being the response from Eric Cantor, Republican House Majority Leader, simply exchanging what everybody else is thinking...But I digress.

Let's review:
NOT ONE REPUBLICAN
voted for the
 "Affordable Care Act."
 Not one.

Who does this president think they represent?  (Besides domestic terrorists... "tea-baggers," extremists, and anarchists...)  It's called the other half of the country, Mr. Obamacare.

DO you think, Mr. President, that the GOP (all facets of it) should just give up the fight, just because you say so?

The Left never gave up the Utopian dream for Universal Health Care.  It's still the ultimate goal -- is it not?  See here, and oops, what I said was, here,  and with Harry Reid double fudge brownie downing on the single payer health care system here

The Left is so patient.  How long has it been?   Decades in the making?

Here's a Hell's Kitchen Habanero Pepper update:  Cruz wasn't in the Senate the first go round.  As a Senator from the fine state of Texas, he is entitled to a say  -- even if some say it's too late -- even if it takes a filibuster lasting 21 hours to fully bake.

Another way of looking at it -- large or small, elections have consequences  (shout out to you, too, John McCrazy Cain).  The people of Texas put Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz in the hot seat in 2013 for a reason; and Cruz proceeded to do exactly what the people of Texas wanted him to do, no matter what, no matter how hard it was.  KUDOS to you, dear sir.

And Mr. President -- you may not agree, or like it -- but as president of these United States, there is an inherent obligation to let Cruz speak for those of us who oppose this outrageous piece of legislation without ridicule; and without undermining the full faith and credit of the American people that THIS congress, THIS president, THIS administration, heeds every word like a well loved recipe passed down through the generations.

We, the people, always have the floor.

It would be perfectly fine by me if this government doesn't survive another day.

The thing is:  the House has averted a government shut down.

It's up to the Senate to keep it.
By the time they reconvene, they will have about as long as it takes to roast a standing crown of pork -- or each other --  to do it.

In the great scheme of things -- the president and his liberal organizers have waited this long to complete his fundamental health care transformation, what's another delay?   [Guess that only works if the president thinks of it first...ooooh snap. and make mine ginger]   But seriously, how insane would it be if they can't deal with a little itty bitty delay?  Right?   Anarchy comes in all kinds of flavors, doesn't it now?

At the end of the day tomorrow -- it may not be pretty, but let's just hope it's eatable.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's Numbers and Negotiations, Secret Tapes and Secret Deals Thing

Dear America,

47% tie.

hum, where have i heard that before?

exactly.
thank you mother jones.... now moveon.org  for here is the transcript of the 47% night -- at least, as much as the "secret tape recorder" would allow.

oh G,  now isn't this really old, old news?

sure -- but given the Left still gets plenty of mileage on it, I figured it wouldn't hurt to go back to the night in question....especially since, alas, we are at a plum tie, at what?  yeah, that's right, forty-fricken-seven-percent per an NBC poll, sent out to the world on a sleepy Sunday morning.

Is it just me, or is Mitt right smack dab on the money?

The prelude to the 47% answer?  A question from the audience that went something like this:

Audience member: For the last three years, all everybody's been told is, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you." How are you going to do it, in two months before the elections, to convince everybody you've got to take care of yourself?
Notice the frustration in the question itself.
If you really think about it, the question is probably on the minds of many; someone, somewhere, nearly any hour of the day wonders how did we get here and more importantly, how do we get out of this mess .  How do we return to self-reliance, something considered to be a cornerstone of this nation?

It's called bare honesty, desperation really, begging the question -- just how do you, Mitt, plan on convincing those people in this country who have grown dependent on government help through entitlements, to find a way to take care of themselves?

And the private audience got honesty right back.

Romney: There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. [He could have stopped right there]  All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. And I mean, the president starts off with 48, 49, 48—he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn't connect. And he'll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean that's what they sell every four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people—I'll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives. What I have to do is convince the 5 to 10 percent in the center that are independents that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon in some cases emotion, whether they like the guy or not, what it looks like. I mean, when you ask those people…we do all these polls—I find it amazing—we poll all these people, see where you stand on the polls, but 45 percent of the people will go with a Republican, and 48 or 4…

You know, now that we have all had a chance to see and hear and watch the real Mitt in the debates for awhile, it is fascinating reading the transcript on 'the night of the 47%.'  The real Mitt shines through!  You can actually feel his words as if you are there with him..  And if you actually take the time to read his remarks from that entire night -- for starters, you would find him almost as funny as the night of the Al Smith dinner...not kidding.  Here's a second chance to link to the source.

But thanks to mother jones, the night gives us a mother-lode of a measured, magnificent Mitt -- all night long.

In any event -- the two are tied at what?  47%.   Guess how many are not budging, now that we are only two weeks out from the election?  yup.  Four and seven.  put 'em together and you get 47%

Here's another angle:  The Left has clearly asked the Right to believe that the president referred to the Benghazi attack as an "act of terror" in the Rose Garden speech as being equivalent to "terrorism."  [which is bull, but whatever]  SO blanketed statements all being the same, Mitt was referring to those people who are dependent on ENTITLEMENTS, aka "obama money," and nothing more.  Mitt wasn't talking about our veterans pensions, or to our Social Security recipients, or even to Medicare beneficiaries.  He was talking about those stuck on WELFARE programs -- the programs we spend 1.028 Trillion dollars a year on SEE HERE.  Not even this tally of 1.028 trillion dollars includes the veterans pensions, social security, or Medicare...making the context here all the more consistent.

"The Utopian schemes of leveling, and a community of goods, are as visionary and impracticable as those which vest all property in the Crown. [These ideas] are arbitrary, despotic, and, in our government, unconstitutional."   Samuel Adams, for more.
"FORWARD" -- yeah, right; that slogan might as well be written on parchment.

big day, NEW TWIST

Secret Video moves to Secret Deal; just waiting for the day after the election.  [cue the evil laugh here]

Hmmmmm which one happens to be a more serious grievance than the other -- the 47% voter-share reality or secret negotiations with people who don't Like us? . hmmmm....go on...

Well let's first mention, the inaugural deal, the one between the U.S. and Russia...Going back to March, it went something like this:

President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.
President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…
President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.
President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir   [creepy]

[oh wait.  Read it again, only this time conforming to the audience much like our president does on the campaign trail; give yourself an accent like a Boris or a Natasha...it just makes it more fun and we need a little levity]

But  the real question remains -- was it really the "inaugural" secret deal --  or is there more?

Come to think of it, wow, I wonder what happened behind closed doors -- in secret -- when the president was doing his apology tour during his first year in office?  We now know the speech in Cairo was before the members of the Muslim Brotherhood.  And then...all of a sudden  we were pushing  Mubarak out and letting the brotherhood in......hmmm  And then we were pushing Gaddhafi out -- by way of Kinetic Military Action and leaving the region vulnerable....hmmm....and the next thing we know, we are ignoring Libya altogether.

And on that note, let's move on to a more current Secret Deal -- with Iran, of all places.

The Times broke the story, even though the White House, well they ain't talking.

Here's more from Reza Kahlili, @ WND.
It seems to be a pretty big deal.

So -- you know what this means --  it's gonna be some kind of fun tonight at the OK Corral, that's all I have to say.

[No, actually, that's not all.]

[And yes, that was a cheesy little link to wikipedia....oh well. Shoot me.  But note the date -- the famous gun slingin' at the 'OK Corral' happened on October 26, at 3pm PST. -- we're fast approaching an anniversary, but it was purely by accident I used the phrase in the first place.  I love how that happens.]

Let's get around to a few things said out-loud and  NOT in secret --

There's always Joe -- speaking to an audience of the "49% Black in Danville, VA", "they're gonna put y'all back in chains..."  I have no idea how he can get away with saying something like this; just imagine it -- this is coming from our vice president!

And more recently, courtesy of ABC News, an exchange with a member of the audience went like this:
They have guns but no bullets,” a member of the crowd shouted.
“Unfortunately, the bullets are aimed at you,” Biden replied, pointing at the man who had spoken and prompting laughter from the audience.
The vice president added that Republicans were dividing the country by talking about “a culture of dependency.” [or is it the Democrats dividing the country by vilifying "the culture of the1%, 2%, top 10% -- the job creators who pay for 70% of everything ?]

And, lest we forget to mention, during the same speech Joe confuses the war in Afghanistan with a war -- happening now? -- in Iran! [can this guy even handle another four more years?] [making it even funnier -- Harry Reid was nodding in the affirmative right behind him...hilarious stuff]

One more simply amazing thing said aloud, sort of -- this time by tweet, or is this really a "re-tweet" repeat:....

"I have no idea why any woman/minority
would vote for Romney.
You have to be stupid to vote
for such a racist/misogynistic twat."

Who's the twit you ask?

The Obama Campaign's Co-Chair, Eva Longoria!  That is some kind of class, isn't it?  I was forced to color it pink just to make it go down a wee bit easier...but honestly, is this message really approved by Barack Obama?

Well now, to recap: the NBC poll has Obama/Romney virtually at a tie.   At what?  that's right...@47%.

And what that means is-- about half of those polled, actually 47%,  are locked into Obama and will not move, much like Romney predicted.  These people could be characterized as those people dependent on getting free stuff from the government (make that from other people, aka TAXPAYERS).  Remember now -- the government produces nothing but bureaucracy; they only know how to spend other people's money, and if they don't have enough, they simply make more of it  [which is also a tax! -- aka INFLATION].

Increased debt ceiling, here we come.

There is another 47%; and I, for one, have no problem calling myself part of the 47 for Romney; no great secret there, is there....But guess what?  There is another poll that gives Romney 51% and Obama 45%.-- per Gallup...

...perhaps confirming movement unexpected.

BUT if we are truly all Americans still, living  in these great big beautiful United States, I, for two, would be way more alarmed these days by things seen and unseen, said and unsaid --  sshhhhhh
  • the UN is about to take away our gun rights -- some crazy shhh*&t; is going down;
  • missile defense is being used as a bargaining chip against our allies;
  • nuclear weaponry aspirations and intentions will have to wait until AFTER the election for discussion, while a letter is on it's way as we speak carving out particulars of the deal, illuminating sanctions that can be temporarily waived;
  • meanwhile, any sit-down with someone within the Muslim Brotherhood is negotiating with a terrorist organization (it's just a FACT --  it's just that nobody wants to say it out-loud);
  • or here's a good one, fresh from The Daily Caller today -- meetings with Islamic Radicals at the White House...fortunately, it's no secret when they sign the guest book...
  • and Libya, just a case in point of how Al Queda is not dead, that Islamic Extremism is alive and well, and coming in all shapes, sizes and locals -- Obama's foreign policy,  leading by apologies and pandering from behind, is no way to move "FORWARD"........

Trust is so over-rated, right?  But what do I know...I'm just a girl.

OK so now I think I am done for one day; now we just have to wait.  We will have to wait, and wait, and wait until the end of this day, before we witness the final duel, metaphorically speaking.  For anyone interested in reading up on a few famous ones, real ones, you can  go here.

Make it a Good Day, G
