It's a No-Brainer, No Boner, No Blaming America Hat Trick Thing

Dear America,

it's not a good day in America,
but let's just pretend that it is, shall we?

this is rich...

“Lucifer in the flesh,..“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life...”  this, out of the mouth of John Dumb-ass Boner  Boehner

and isn't this the best news ever!
and somebody, please,
and make that snappy.
(tee hee)

Boner also went on to say he would vote for Trump, if he gets the nomination -- and would not even consider a vote for Cruz.  And so  which candidate is preferred by 4 out of 5 establishment operatives?

Thank you, Boner, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If there was ever a time to have a "son of a bitch" to be the leader of the free world, the moment is now.  No --- scratch that -- let's be real...that moment has passed long ago, but this girl will settle for now.  But thank you for illuminating which was which for all of the low-information voters out there -- or for even the high-information voter imbibing on the Trump punch and finding themselves a wee bit dizzy on the dreams and aspirations of another American boy, only this time a "conservative."

and how about that new running mate speaking with  Megyn Kelly -- who said --

“This isn’t over until someone reaches 1,237. … I believe Ted Cruz will be our nominee. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are virtually indistinguishable in their positions. And he cannot be our nominee, and if he were to be our nominee, Hillary Clinton would be our president. And that is a future that I’m not prepared to lay by and allow to have happen.”               and thank you, Carly Fiorina.

so for kicks and giggles, how about we consider the day Ted Cruz is having these days, shall we?

and while the prevailing sentiment seems to be he is playing games....that he's desperate...jumping the gun and putting horse before cart yadi yadi yada by outlining his VP long before convention...

Well, keep it up, CRUZ!  And let me just add, if Cruz is king of the sideshows and circus acts -- what does that make Trump?

oh and speaking serious, how about that foreign policy speech?

yeah, it was kinda good, wasn't it.
oh bother...
it was just nice to hear him speak without yelling or calling anyone names or sounding like he's standing at the craps table.

Here's a Rushie analysis, in full conversation in real time -- go EB...Excellence in Broadcasting!

Here's a second analysis from my favorite place @The Patriot Post...Better Than Blaming America First.

are we having fun yet?

and yet, in the post (linked above) by Nate Jackson, he summed up a couple of " 'yuge' red flags...." so let me highlight:

First, Trump obviously doesn’t think deeply about anything, so his speech was, as is typical of everything he says, all over the map in terms of a guiding vision. Trump has now taken both sides of almost every issue, just as Obama does. For example, Trump promised to eradicate the Islamic State “very, very quickly,” but he also rejected a large ground force or occupation. How would he accomplish his goal? He didn’t say. He said U.S. foreign policy should be “more unpredictable” but also “disciplined, deliberate and consistent.” A good start would be a consistent speech. And that’s only scratching the surface of his inconsistencies.

Second, our biggest worry is exemplified in this single quote: “I’m the only one — believe me, I know them all — I’m the only one who knows how to fix it.” Since 2008, we’ve gone from “Yes We Can” to “Yes I Can.” We’ve endured almost eight years with a man who still thinks he’s the messiah, and we have no desire for a similar second coming.

it's a good day, indeed.

One thing  that Nate noted there in the end should be addressed by me, little g, tee hee...and that being the part going like this: "He said U.S. foreign policy should be “more unpredictable” but also “disciplined, deliberate and consistent.” A good start would be a consistent speech."

and the thing is, this girl totally gets what Trump is saying; and not only do I get it, but I agree! For in the area of foreign relations and policy, being "more unpredictable" on the front lines, in military strategy, in protecting and defending people -- whether our own or in another land -- we MUST keep secrets and be "unpredictable!"  For how stupid is it to tell the enemy (and even fellow Americans at times) exactly what we are doing and why and how and when!  Can I get an amen, or perhaps better, a oorah! in formation?!  The element of surprise IS a military cornerstone!  Hello???   Trojan Horse, anyone?

And speaking of surprises,
can we just stop and notice how Biden is heating up?

upon this great and good day in America,  sure hope somebody on the right is preparing for the JB takeover...just in case...but who am I but just a girl...

here's the thing,
Cruz has not captured the flag, to date, because of things like this:

"The amazing thing is, that basketball ring in Indiana, it's the same height as it is New York City and every other place in this country,"
nice analogy but the buzzer got you beat, buddy.  just sayin'

Basketball ring?  really?  seriously?  even I know it's a HOOP!
and this girl loves playing H  O  R  S   E....but I digress.

America has halfheartedly picked Trump because he is all alpha all the time.

America wants somebody to take control of the reins and run with it, make it great again, maybe even do a little good, and most of all, put America first without apologies.

This is a no-Brainer, no Boner, no Blaming America hat trick, alongside Cruz behaving -- presidentially speaking -- as the polar opposite of Trump.  Propped up by bogus media bias, with Drudge highlighting every single Cruz mistake, and Fox News declaring Trump the winner (in spirit) only every single freaking day, the horse has arrived and sits inside the pearly gates, folks.   And Trump's mission, being the man's man, alpha persona, dog whistling dixie-do-little-or-alot, is of no surprise; and not only does it come naturally to him, it has encouraged many Americans to perceive things seen and unseen.

oh it's a good day to be a hot mess in America.

and so let's just wrap things up.

H
O
R
S
E.
if this were a game, and it is, Cruz is on E (and it's not for empty).  Let's hope it's for ELECTRIC ELECTORATE -- or at least enough to get him to the big show, shall we?

I mean, how much fun will that be...a contested convention collision.  I think it has a nice ring to it, don't you?

gotta go.

It's Just a 2014 Blog Based Upon 2008 Election Results Thing

Dear America,

Well, Cry Me A foreign policy on the rocks...
make mine shaken not stirred.

[and little old gthing has only been waiting three days to say that.]

From March 1, Washington Post:

“If you are effectively taking the stick option off the table, then what are you left with?” said Andrew C. Kuchins, who heads the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. “I don’t think that Obama and his people really understand how others in the world are viewing his policies.”

And the very next day, let me introduce you to the opening paragraph from the editorial section of the same Post:

FOR FIVE YEARS, President Obama has led a foreign policy based more on how he thinks the world should operate than on reality. It was a world in whichthe tide of war is receding” and the United States could, without much risk, radically reduce the size of its armed forces. Other leaders, in this vision, would behave rationally and in the interest of their people and the world. Invasions, brute force, great-power games and shifting alliances — these were things of the past. Secretary of State John F. Kerry displayed this mindset on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday when he said, of Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine, “It’s a 19th century act in the 21st century.”

And Kerry hop skipped over the 20th century ,why?  For emphasis?  oh okay.

But yes, poking fun at Putin is a new kind of diplomacy -- it's fresh -- coming out of the think tanks of the 21st century, for sure, and not to be confused with the hope y changy diplomacy policy -- both foreign and domestic -- rising like a Phoenix on stage in Denver, circa 2008 to date.

Oh yes, "change we can believe in" and evidently, go on -- forward march! --- to hang a foreign policy upon...... come hell or high water, climate change,  even the Black Sea.

Doncha like the pink?  Besides being a nice touch --  it's code.  It's to serve as a reminder, we are reading material from a place consistently left brained.  And apparently a bunch of left brains all at once, bringing the madness titled, President Obama’s foreign policy is based on fantasy, out of the noggins of  the highly esteemed "Editorial Board."

The White House often responds by accusing critics of being warmongers who want American “boots on the ground” all over the world and have yet to learn the lessons of Iraq. So let’s stipulate: We don’t want U.S. troops in Syria, and we don’t want U.S. troops in Crimea. A great power can become overextended, and if its economy falters, so will its ability to lead. None of this is simple.

But it’s also true that, as long as some leaders play by what Mr. Kerry dismisses as 19th-century rules, the United States can’t pretend that the only game is in another arena altogether. Military strength, trustworthiness as an ally, staying power in difficult corners of the world such as Afghanistan — these still matter, much as we might wish they did not. While the United States has been retrenching, the tide of democracy in the world, which once seemed inexorable, has been receding. In the long run, that’s harmful to U.S. national security, too.

"...these still matter,
much as we might wish they did not."

The urge to pull back — to concentrate on what Mr. Obama calls “nation-building at home” — is nothing new, as former ambassador Stephen Sestanovich recounts in his illuminating history of U.S. foreign policy, “Maximalist.” There were similar retrenchments after the Korea and Vietnam wars and when the Soviet Union crumbled. But the United States discovered each time that the world became a more dangerous place without its leadership and that disorder in the world could threaten U.S. prosperity. Each period of retrenchment was followed by more active (though not always wiser) policy. Today Mr. Obama has plenty of company in his impulse, within both parties and as reflected by public opinion. But he’s also in part responsible for the national mood: If a president doesn’t make the case for global engagement, no one else effectively can.

Upon morning light,

Putin is supposedly "pulling back" now.
Phew!   (and thank you, Drudge, for the headline chuckle when we feel like crying --  because isn't this true...  misery hates company who doesn't bring a bottle of wine).

But then again, who are we kidding.  That pull back looks a lot like Putin re-grouping and perhaps a little  re-imagining of his relations with China of his own.  Picturing the scene when Mickey Mouse meets the mop in Fantasia now and scaring the living daylights out of myself.

I know.
So weird.
What does it all mean?

and yes, maybe I AM losing my mind.  But I AM not alone.  Surely, there is personal security in that (foreign relations security, not so much).

Clearly, our fantasy centered foreign policy "has  paid a price in the nervousness of its neighbors, who are desperate for the United States to play a balancing role in the region. But none of those neighbors feel confident that the United States can be counted on."

Let's face it, folks, we are a hot mess.
Where's the strateegury?  Where's the methodical study of action and reaction from the ages, spanning the globe and centuries of material at our fingertips?  Where is the art of war not only being recognized, but honored -- and used as a tool and tactic to create diplomatic change from a position of strength and expertise, coming from a formidable world power, no less?

Because clearly!  Other foreign entities are studying US!  Putin seems to foresee things, contemplating consequences all along the way.

And on another campaign promise of a different kind, upon a different day --  March 26, 2012 to be exact -- what did Obama mean when he told Medvedev to wait until after the election, when more flexibility could be seen from his backyard?  You see, it's things like this that make this girl crazy...

But to think --
Palin nailed it, saying “After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next."

[And if you linked in there, let me extend this tidbit to Michael Peck:  It was Tina Fey, impersonating Palin, who said she could see Russia...]  But I digress. This isn't the big finish I had envisioned.

This is:

But to think --
Obama was going to save the world! when he was ushered into office without a smidgen of a resume to support the action.
The Manchurian candidate.... maybe, maybe not... hmm ...fantasy or reality....No matter.   The thing is, it's plum too late for the world to get to the middle of that creamy center.
It's in motion already.
And more than that, it is done.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a little Memo to Mitt: Outsourcing from the Source at Benghazi Thing

Dear America,

So, do you wanna know where outsourcing and beefed up enhanced security in Benghazi meet?

@Blue Mountain, a private security firm based in the U.K.

Memo to Mitt:

THIS is where Monday's debate should begin, and if you ask me, end; that is if you should have permission to speak freely without interruption and without the moderator moderating your fair share and fair shake.

The story is ripe for blasting the Obama Administration considering the British crew -- and not an American outfit -- took over in March of 2012; the contract mandated the hiring of Libyan workers, who as it turns out, were difficult to train, but even harder to trust -- and for some reason, the work attracted a rather questionable element; and lo and behold, the security personnel were entrusted with nothing more than a billy-club!  I kid you not -- they were just told to "sound the alarm over the radio and run for cover" if they got scared.

"We used to tell the Americans who spoke to us on many occasions that we needed more support in security, because it felt thin on the ground. But they didn't seem to be so worried, and (were) confident that no one will dare to come close to the consulate," one guard said.

THIS news is fresh off the press from Reuters, go here for the entire postFor Benghazi diplomatic security, U.S. relied on small British firm  [should have been titled, Obama Blue It....badump ba]

And it's funny, because this explains everything....except for that pesky little detail of yesterday left hanging out to dry:  just who did deny enhanced security and WHY?

I am just astonished at the brute honesty here...    Let's take a moment and thank the journalists @ Reuters who threw all of this together --- (Hadeel Al Shalchi reported from Benghazi; Additional reporting by Marie-Louise Gumuchian in Tripoli, Mark Hosenball and Lucy Shackelford; Editing by Marilyn W. Thompson and Paul Simao)

And why Blue Mountain?

"'Blue Mountain was virtually unknown to the circles that studied private security contractors working for the United States, before the events in Benghazi,' said Charles Tiefer, a commissioner at the Commission on Wartime Contracting, which studied U.S. contracting in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars...

Fred Burton, vice president of intelligence at the Stratfor consulting firm and a former U.S. diplomatic security agent, said he did not know Blue Mountain, but it likely got State Department work because it was already working in Libya.

'They may have been the path of least resistance.'"

really?

So Mitt: let's review, our fine president OUTSOURCED the Libyan Ambassador's protection at the consulate to a British security firm, filling a void in the short term, and continued to deny the need for anything more serious and more able...even after the compounds were bombed.

Again, pointing to the assist by Reuters:

"Eric Nordstrom, former regional security officer for the U.S. Embassy in Libya, testified at a congressional hearing last week that contracting out for security in the eastern Libyan city 'was largely based on our concern of how long we would be in Benghazi. We were concerned that if we retained or brought on board full-time employees we would have to then find a position for them if that post ever went away.'

In describing the challenges of hiring private security at Benghazi, he added: 'It's my understanding that there was a very high turnover with those people'."

 I am ill, just ill.

The more we know, the more we wish we didn't know; what kind of confidence in our leadership is this?

Let me answer that for you -- none, nada, zilch, a big fat ZERO.  I mean, seriously, who still has any confidence left?  Surely, it must be stuck somewhere deep in the intestinal tract.

AND ANOTHER THING
-- Same Bonehead, New Subject --

Something else with regards to the debate...

SO, if I am hearing you pundits correctly, the president gets points, props, for telling straight out lies with a pointed index finger, a chorus of "not true, not true," and getting all up in Mitt's grill now?  That counts as honest debate?  He gets credit for finally showing up and speaking with firm reliance, liberally distributing his own shovel-ready BS?  Is that  how far we've come?

Oh the things this guy can get away with.

But back to Reuters:

"In a July 9 memo approved by the late ambassador Stevens, regional security officer Nordstrom said his office hoped to shore up defenses at U.S. compounds in Libya and would consider partial arming of some local guard supervisors, without being more specific."

Little late now, isn't it.

Just as it's a little late for Obama to correct the horrific turn of events in Libya, along with the evolution of a  great miscalculation -- misleading the American people with a false narrative each and every day for an entire two weeks thereafter.

There are simply too many mistakes to count, but here's a few:
  • the Chevy-Volt trade off, here.
  • bombs bursting in air, here.
  • denied enhanced security, here.
  • and fresh from Reuter's, just today:  OUTSOURCING our consulate's defense, essentially turning into "security by mall cop"
  • and the lies...lots and lots of lies.
The president should be brought before a congressional hearing tomorrow; or, to save himself from further embarrassment, just walk away.

But MITT -- this is your time to take it away...go get 'em.

Make it a Good Day, G

Epi-Blogue

The next debate will be on foreign policy.  So get ready, Mitt, for more of the same from bonehead and polish up on the ugly trail of details:

  • the apology tour beginning in Egypt
  • the Leading from Behind Obama Doctrine, the overall perception of weakness
  • the lack of conviction and early signs of the direction waning and the continuing wishy-washy stance in Afghanistan
  • Syria...where to begin....
  • Iran, when the president had a chance to support the protesters and failed; school him on real sanctions
  • Destroying the relationship with Israel, and specifically Bibi
  • Supporting the Muslim Brotherhood -- within the administration! and out! see Michele Bachmann and Hillary Clinton's Huma...
  • Interfering with Mubarak, leaving Egypt completely vulnerable to the Muslim Brotherhood, opening the door to "arab spring"
  • jeopardizing relationships in Poland, see missile defense
  • oh and don't forget *** important *** ask him what he means when he told Medvedev that he would have more flexibility after the election....
  • oh and this is unrelated, but ask him about that rich Carlos Slim billionaire dude, the entrepreneur backing the Obama phone, would ya? it's not that serious, but it is suspect...and it's also an  issue of outsourcing with a foreign billionaire instead of one of our own...Nod to Roger Hedgecock where I heard this first/and HuffPost for this little tidbit..
  • To Libya -- dating all the way back to the "Kinetic Military Action" all the way up to the Lies of today and to the issue of OUTSOURCING security...of all things, Mr. President....
  • and all this, from the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, nominated only two weeks into his administration...something is not quite right
Matter of fact -- I would just start the night ignoring the question altogether and do what they do -- just begin listing everything right off the bat -- with color charts and red lines, if you can -- perhaps more eloquently stated, of course. But you already do that  :)  Remember now -- he's called you a fraud, a tax cheat, a felon, a murderer, and a liar, throughout this campaign -- go after him on his mis-characterizations directly.

So there you go, pleasantly armed and dangerous, what a great combination; no question, you can take him yet again.

 GOSH
Are debates super fun, or what?!
[and if you say that like Elle Woods,
you get me, you really get me...]

oh my.
look at me now...
carrying on like there is no tomorrow...
ciao.

It's A Falling Camel Attracts Many Knives Thing

Dear America,

so, are we clear with THE FACT that Obama chose Biden for the vice president's job because BIDEN came with foreign policy credentials?

think back now...

Obama came with literally no foreign policy experience.  None. Zilch.  NaDa.

So now close your eyes....and picture the world today and yesterday.  Roam through the early days -- foreign policy wise -- when it was the president, right out of the box, apologizing and appeasing to the Islamic world; picture the brush up with Poland and the take away of missile defense; picture Cairo -- the "rise of democracy" beginning with peaceful protests here to a day when "history takes place;"  picture deals made with a handshake until after the election; picture deals with longtime allies brazenly broken;  picture the rushed meeting on the tarmac - only out of embarrassment - only after the world found out the president never met the guy running the war - with Gen. McCrystal (quick synopsis, here); picture Pakistan, Afghanistan, bin Laden; flash forward and picture his sophomoric speech to the United Nations, still laser-beamed focused on the video that was NOT to blame for the murder of the ambassador and three others lives...the day in the life being SEPTEMBER 25th no-less, when he says, 'There are no words that excuse the killing of innocents. There is no video that justifies an attack on an embassy..."

It has been Obama, not Biden, who has led America in its foreign policy agenda.

It has been Obama, not Biden, who called for the Osama bin Laden raid -- the death being the cornerstone of the National Democratic Convention, and just imagine it, only days before the protests in the Middle East took place;  it was Biden who said “Mr. President, my suggestion is: don’t go.”  See here for details, by Marc Thiessen.

It has been Obama, not Biden, deciding the proper response time, the desired narrative, the intended message all through the days.

Ironic, isn't it -- looking back.

Americans got bamboozled.

It was nearly a month ago, almost to the day, when Romney was blasted by the president for "shooting first, taking aim later."   All just a part of the narrative unfolding...let's deflect and cry foul.

Romney's comments were made immediately after formal remarks coming out of the administration were heard worldwide.  So let's take them in order:

The administration, by way of the State Department, by way of the Embassy in Cairo, declared this:

"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others."
This message came from somewhere first; you don't just send this out to the Arab world without approval.*

For back up:  Here is a link to a new hot spot I found for opinion via DiploPundit; this day, dates back to September 14th; just love how he starts out...

"Anyway here’s the thing — Foreign Service officers are really, really excellent at following the chalked lines. You don’t see a lot of rogue and old diplomats for very good reasons. And they, certainly, do not suddenly forget their clearance procedures because they were confronted with a badly made, badly written and badly acted movie clip in YouTube; much less, defy a direct order from the State Department when it comes to an official statement for public consumption. Unless, of course, the officer is looking to commit a career suicide. And I’m not convinced that is the case with man of the hour, Larry Schwartz."

Romney's immediate response to Cairo's condemnation statement, was simply this:

"I'm outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It's disgraceful that the Obama administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks."
* Now remember:   the Administration chose to distance itself from the statement made in Cairo nearly at the same time!

We are also well aware, now, that the statement which came out of Cairo came before the protests as a means to avert disaster; basically, calling out to all Arabs not to shoot, begging for reason; pleading to the Egyptian public not to overreact to the video, having heard rumblings of discontent in the area.

Here is a great interactive report with a time-line to walk you through the details; and who-knew, it's even from the NY Times...

BUT HERE'S an even better time-line...from The Heritage Foundation (unfortunately, being a post from October 8th, it comes without the added incriminating details from just yesterday's congressional hearing).

WITHIN 24 HOURS: everybody who is anybody in the administration knew LIBYA was attacked by terrorists. WITHIN 24 HOURS:  the video was not only beside the point -- it was never the point in Libya.  But WITHIN 24 HOURS: the story was crafted.  Now, talk about who's shooting first and taking aim later...

Let's bring this all together now.

And let's get one thing straight:  Biden is really nowhere to be found -- whether it be foreign or domestic, really.

And about the president's biggest mistake -- being unable to tell the story better -- every thing, as it turns out,  is about the narrative; every thing is about the way it looks, how it's perceived; it's always, and only, about the story -- whether it be true or false. [Go back and read Rules for Radicals, that should be your first clue]

But in the end, what we saw happening in Libya is really called -- now looking back -- a miscalculation.

Make no mistake.  It was Obama, as president, who elected to tell a story out of Egypt and Libya -- one that would make the most sense, and one that would align with the principles and policy of this administration and not make him look bad in the process.

  • It had to be something that denied any September 11th connection;
  • It had to be something that brought a little daylight  between the clear and present danger of having just spiked the football, of bin Laden's death, at convention, and really driving it home;
  • It had to reinforce the false belief that Al Queda is no longer a threat, that he did it -- he killed 'it';
  • It had to be able to fit into a re-election campaign.
  • And some might even say, it had to point to an extremist being at fault -- someone like a Coptic-Christian extremist...yeah, yeah, that might be just the ticket...
  • IT certainly couldn't point to a security weakness, requests for reinforcements turned down, or anything having to do with a position of a general, albeit prevalent, perception of weakness all the way around.
Let's remember the first pictures coming out of Egypt -- posters declaring "we're all Osama's now" and the people chanting "Obama, Obama, there's a billion Osama's".  Oh yes, the rise of democracy, indeed.

But let's be clear.  Biden has been a no show throughout.

Matter of fact, the administration works awfully hard at keeping Joe nip/tucked now.

Matter of fact, all things "Joe" haven't exactly worked out -- being the lead on the President's Jobs Council, being the lead at overseeing stimulus money.... These things are not exactly real winners, now are they? And how can we forget mr. big f*&%ing mouth and this is  a "big f*&*ing deal day"?

...now that was a good day in America, am I right?  am I right?

Libya is a mess; and it isn't for anything Romney said, suggested, or did.

Libya is a mess; and it isn't for anything Biden said, suggested, or did.

Libya is a mess; but as far as the ever-changing story, masterminded out of this administration, it begins as a serious miscalculation and ends badly.  [Lying is neither a good thing or a family value]

Libya -- along with the entire Middle East -- is a hot mess for America because of many things; and just like every other administration, only one man leads the way.  That man happens to be Barack Hussein Obama.

Ancient Arab Proverb says,
“A falling camel attracts many knives.”

...basically meaning, weakness is provocative.  GO HERE for the super good back story on that.

Once upon a time... a real leader accepts all responsibility from the get go, through thick and thin, foreign and domestic, and slays the evil dragon(s)..

Make it a Good Day, G
