It's About Communists Without Labels (or borders) Thing

Dear America,

you know The Naked Communist was written way back in the fifties.  Towards the end of the book, Skousen reports that " 'Communism' has become universally unpopular."  Going on to say, just the mere mention of the word sends a certain chill up the spine, sending anyone in their right mind running in the opposite direction, and most likely clothed, if not fully armored.

It's an entire chapter on the "Secret Weapon of Communism."

But it's when I read this, that my head bows in disgrace, shaking....for he asks a simple question:  "But how many Americans could recognize a Communist without his label?"

and feel free...substitute Marxist, or Socialist, or Fascist...as you like.

Noting Communism is primarily in the business of propaganda, it doesn't take much to indoctrinate the ignorant, the poor, the uneducated, the vulnerable.  What's not to love, "the idea of sharing the wealth appeals to the masses."   Naturally.

Which is funny, especially in light of what Skousen gives us to chew on next -- a quick reminder of what it's like between the have's and the have not's:

"[However] when the Communists took over in Russia you will recall that the first thing they did was impose upon the Russian people a form of economics which we got rid of back in the feudal days.  It is a system where a privileged few dispense the necessities of life to the serfs who work for them and rely upon them for protection and leadership."

oh you don't say?

but I digress.

Let's scroll back up a wee bit and settle in on the question again -- can we recognize a Communist without his label when we meet him?

Let me answer that for you.

That would be a no.

Skousen then bounces off the propaganda platform making four sound bullet points responsible for the cornerstones of Communism, going something like this (actually, it goes exactly like this...quoting directly from  The Naked Communist now, pp. 353-361):

• "Everything in existence came about as a result of ceaseless motion among the forces of nature -- everything is a product of accumulated accident.  There is no design.  There is not law.  There is no God.  There is only force, the force of nature.  Force is right, force is good, force is natural."  ...especially when it comes nudge by nudge...

• "Human beings are only graduate beasts -- and therefore human life is no more sacred that that of a centipede, a caterpillar or a pig. The completely reckless disregard for human life is the most striking, single characteristic of  'materialism in action'." ...and embracing the totally disposable human being beginning in the womb...

• "There is no such thing as innate right or wrong --  [quoting Skousen, quoting a Commie  leader  now]   ' To lie, is that wrong?  Not for a good cause.  To kill, is that wrong?  Not for a good cause.'  [adding the welcome translation]  We call that pragmatism -- that the end justifies the means."  aka the Chicago way...

• "That all religion must be overthrown because it inhibits the spirit of world revolution --  It was the feeling of Marx, Engels, and their fellow travelers that the deep spiritual convictions of the people hindered their acceptance of Communist philosophy and Communist rule.  It kept them from capturing the revolutionary spirit.   It kept them from lying and stealing and killing when leaders commanded it.  In other words, a card carrying Communist must carry on propaganda that fully supports Atheism.. hence, the reason for the about face through the progressive court system -- advocating and affirming the unconscionable, and unconstitutional,  attacks upon a basic human right -- religious freedom.

Stop:  what, pray tell, do these things remind you of?  who does this remind you of?
 
Skousen then tells a long story about a guy named Igor Gouzenko, who travels from Russia to Canada and finds a better life...la di la di la da...and after years of working from the inside, from Russia with love, with his vast array of knowledge he attempts to save Canada from an awful fate.  And no one believes him or trusts him, at first.   Short story even shorter, Canadians see the light and they also offer him protective custody (because he needed it!).

And immediately we get a few more nuggets of wisdom -- this time coming from Igor's perspective, when he points out what should be the obvious:  "there is a defect in your culture when your own people can grow up in your midst without gaining any appreciation of the difference between freedom and slavery, between idealism and atheism, between faith and doubt, or between order and chaos."

Describing the typical Communist convert --   Skousen asks us,

"can you just imagine yourself giving this reply:   ' I must confess that, in my heart of hearts, I do not believe that there is any God or Divine Intelligence guiding the human race.  Therefore, I suppose I should feel it my duty as one of the superior intelligences of my generation -- and for the sake of humanity -- to collaborate with your movement which is destined to take over and save the race from itself."    

And finally, in summation: 

"Every time we produce a boy or girl who is trained to believe that the universe is the product of accumulated accident, that human beings are only graduate beasts [and entirely disposable, starting at conception],  that there is no such thing as innate right and wrong or that deep spiritual convictions are old-fashioned and unnecessary, then we have caused a casualty among our own ranks in the field of ideological warfare."

Communism is so charming, isn't it?

But just look at us now...Can we recognize Communism without a label when we see it?

America is embracing the principles of Communism right now!  Matter of fact, at the rate we are going, the words on the page can't keep up with the number of converts and anarchists and revolutionaries and atheists. 

We have a president taking us through fundamental transformation -- just like he said he was going to do, by the way -- leading us into a new era in America.  

None of it has a label on it.   It's Communism without labels, borders, good intentions, or history on it's side.

In normal situations, this shouldn't be anything more than a problem with distribution, not packaging. 

But not this time; not in this age. 

As we welcome the new idiocy being manufactured at an alarming rate, given birth to a cultural phenomenon that is responsible for changing our traditions, re-writing our history, transforming every facet of our daily life into a faithless, soul-less, casualty of ideological warfare. 

Instead of spreading the wealth the real way, the American way -- aka multiplying our abundance -- we are languishing under a brand new mindset... overwhelmed and systematically burdened through an equal sharing of misery, envy, ignorance, liabilities, lies and insolvency. 

You really think a secular, spiritually inept, culturally wounded, economically unstable, immoral, uneducated lot has the capacity to overcome this "secret weapon"?   Oh, then I've got a recently vacant palace in Cairo I wanna show you.

It's a sad day when we cease to recognize just what makes life in America so charming.

It's an intangible ideal that unfortunately has proven harder and harder to bottle over the years -- to label appropriately, more fully, in all of it's glory, and for all it's worth.   Manufacturing a product that is consistently of high quality, commandeering the finest of ingredients, and held to exceptional standards at all times, seems to be an elusive trick of the trade. More important, you may be noticing, torn off from all four corners, absent is the fine print -- defining the inherent responsibility and duty to even hold such a thing in your hand.

A priceless commodity, Americanism; and currently, it's under rapid fire by a secret weapon without a label on it.  Take stock, for the shelves, these times, they are a-changin'.  hmmm Charmed...I'm sure-errr (say it like a valley- serf- girl, it's just more fun).

It's an Inside Job Thing

oh he is just so charming, isn't he now?

but let's take a look at one of the things he said here -- "Washington can't be changed from the inside."  We're all talking about that today.  Which is funny, considering ---

When he first got elected -- he carried the majority in the House, the Senate, and of course, the Executive Branch.  ALL THREE were all his and at his disposal for change for the first two years.

He could have reformed immigration if he wanted to; heck, he's on the road to ignoring congress altogether now, simply by bestowing a new executive order providing for immediate, although disconcerting, exemptions all on his own.

But let's disregard that little truth, and moveon.org...THIS PRESIDENT of ours cannot take ownership for anything.  

"Washington can't be changed from the inside."

But I thought you said you were ready for this.
I thought you said, you could change Washington.

Falling back on lamentations of the task at hand, it is difficult to follow the rules of good government, isn't it Mr. President?   Though quick to point out:

"That's how I got elected, [from the outside]

and that's how the big accomplishments 

like Health Care got done  [from the outside]

because we were able to mobilize 

the American people to speak out."[from the outside]

 -- the best changes came from the outside [so he says, don't you believe it for a minute].

Well, um Univision audience ....."I got elected"...that's a good thing, we can all hang our sombrero on that, right -- as if he's still an outsider -- and all while letting his narcissist freak flag fly.  masterfully done there, mr. president.

And then we go right into his biggest accomplishment:  the Health Care Law  [I guess this wouldn't be the week to gloat again about killing Osama bin Laden... like you did throughout the DNC]   anywho...

The president credits "the outside" -- not congress,  not even a mention -- for the "Affordable Care Act."

wow.  that might come as a surprise to many Americans who saw "congress" working behind closed doors for months, even shutting out some congressmen, before bearing witness to its rapturous unveiling.

SO if I am hearing you correctly, the Affordable Care Act must thank "the grassroots" -- the outside.  yeah okay. [wink wink]    But he couldn't have been any more truthful really; I gotta give him that.  For the majority of the law was penned by a liberal think tank and basically on the ready to lock and load.  It was merely waiting for "due process" to take over and bring it to fruition.  And even then, the people on the real outside had to wait for congress to "pass it to see what's in it" according to the former Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.

Oh and 'The tank':  it's the Center for American Progress.  Lead expert:  Donald Berwick.  But diving into the tank a bit deeper we get to it's rich beginnings:  George  "Schwartz" Soros and his Open Society Institute

No big deal there, I'm sure.

Berwick was placed into position to implement Medicare/Medicaid changes soon after the law passed --  when this observation was quickly made:

"Will the elderly be a favored subgroup? Not under the Obama health law. An April 22 report by Medicare and Medicaid chief actuary Richard Foster shows that the law nearly doubles Medicaid rolls at a cost of $410 billion over the next decade.

To pay for this, the law slashes future Medicare funding by $525 billion over the same period, when 30 percent more people will enter Medicare as baby boomers age. In short, boomers will get less care than today's seniors.

Less care is Berwick's vision. In a speech marking the 60th birthday of the British National Health Service, he praised the NHS for deliberately creating scarcity: 'You [the NHS] plan the supply; you aim a bit low; historically, you prefer slightly too little of a technology or service to much too much and then you search for care bottlenecks and try to relieve them.'"

Berwick confessed, 'I am a romantic about the NHS. I love it. All I have to do to rediscover the romance is to look at the health care in my own country.' He praised the NHS for its central planning, frugality, wealth redistribution and rationing.

And never mind that the majority of "the outside" despise the new law still today -- wanting to repeal or replace all or part of it.  Yes.  You are a good listener...You are my president, too.  Axe? Grind?  Have we met?

but about this business of "Washington can't be changed from the inside."

Are you serious?

Then why on God's great earth should we put you back in office again? 

• clearly, you can't see the forest through the trees; 
• clearly, you need to work inside the beltway a little more often -- in order to know what's in it; 
• clearly, you sound like you have given up;
• clearly, you can't seem to lead this merry band of misfits of congress to redistribute the wealth fast enough;
• clearly, you are just itching to go back to being a community organizer, believing perhaps you can transform America into the Marxist state faster from the outside...
• clearly, you must resent the fact that you resemble "the Inside" now that it's four years later -- 

you sound annoyed.

as we say around my house, are you feeling a smidge cranky?

Hey, Romney wants your job. Romney wants to live in the big white house.

Romney wants to change Washington from the inside out -- starting from the outside in.

You name it; he wants your management migraine.  Maybe you should just give peace a chance and wave the white flag -- just not that newfangled flag your campaign just came up with, for t-shirts and teen posters.  You approved of that message, right?

Going back on something I said at the start -- this president can't take ownership for anything.

Little does he realize that any good CEO worth his salt would never answer the question admitting his failures by pointing his finger elsewhere, outside of himself.  His finger would be pointing inward. like, the buck stops here, you know what I mean?

And about this Washington -- this is the Washington that you built, Mr. President.  Perhaps it's been awhile since you've spent quality time with each other, given the fierce campaign you are running and all.

And speaking of the house that Obama built, I was in the middle of making dinner when I overheard some comments made by John Sununu last night.  He was with Sean Hannity and discussing Obama's foreign policy of late...Sununu said something like "he's just incompetent!"  not to mention sounding totally flustered.

No Sununu ( I just wanna keep saying his name in a funny voice for awhile) -- no, Sununu, I think you got it all wrong.   You fall into the "Judeo-Christian--way too kind --and way too trusting --for our own good" category along with so many of the rest of this country...

THIS presidency is hardly incompetent -- nor is it blind, stupid, inexperienced, or unable to tell the story right to the American people -- nor is it lost in any way, out of control, suffering from inexplicable ignorance or naiveté.  THIS presidency knows exactly what it is doing at all times.

It is just that sinister.  We, the people -- those of us on the outside -- are just way to trusting to want to see it.

But make no mistake, Obama truly wants to be a part of bringing America to her knees.  You might say, it's been a dream of his for quite some time -- influenced by a compilation of a master planned UNIvision from all his mentors over the years.  It's his one true north to make it so -- with the help of all the workers of the world, of course -- call'm the outsiders -- breaking through the 47 percentile as we speak.

The irony of course, is that he, himself, is virtually powerless -- whether he is in or out of the beltway.   He's just a puppet for the liberal elite power block.  He's being used just as he uses the American people. And it's a viscous cycle.

Fundamental Transformation takes time; Obama wants four more years to finish it off, even as he admits today  "Washington can't be changed from the inside."

Don't be fooled.  That's just code for vote for me again so I can keep at it from the inside.

and about this Washington, the one that can't be changed from the inside -- let's take a peek of a page from The Naked Communist, by W. Cleon Skousen [love love love this guy]:

"Political groups solve their problems by entering into negotiations, attending conferences, and working out their differences with bona fide compromises which all parties are expected to perform.  This has never worked with the Communists because they use deceit, disregard of laws, violation of treaties, intimidation, subversion and open insurrection as basic tools of conquest.  This make it a criminal conspiracy."

shocking.

Recommendations, via Skousen, on dealing with a "criminal operation" --given that "negotiation and compromise" are considered far outside the solution domain.  Four steps:

• immobilize the criminal
• render him harmless
• gain his confidence
• rehabilitate him 

 and one more, if I may be so bold to amend... then send him packing.

This is it, folks.

This is the time, and these are the days, that America finds herself at a crossroad.

We are living in a perversion of America's true nature in every way; we are angling against the foothold of Divine Providence; we are counting on humanity to lead us out of the valley, when it takes a God.

Just imagine America only four years ago -- all of our hopes for change, inside and out, were wrapped up into one man.

In a many ways, we committed blaspheme way back then; but now look at us.  Just look at what we have turned into; just look at how broken and splintered we are, as this administration leads by splitting fractions of factions as a way to bring unity.   Is this what democracy looks like?  no thank you.

What more can we really expect from a man, who just so happens to be president, when his entire life has been unapologetically untethered from the very thing most Americans unify with -- that everything, seen and unseen, is a product of our Creator; that our founders were part and parcel of the Divine, that America was created from a Master Plan, all we had to do was keep it -- protect her, respect her, live in unity for the good of the whole.

Leading America requires the perspective of an inside job -- keeping aligned with the essential tools... the ideals, values, principles and strengthened by faith, virtues, duty, and just all-round good conduct.  It's like we're one big country club with everybody allowed.

The first thing communists attack is Nature's God, claiming: "There is no design.  There is no law.  There is no God.  There is only force, the force of nature."  --  with the help of human nature responding accordingly.

There are no accidents.  Everything happens for a reason -- even THIS.

No doubt, this is the time to make a change in Washington from the outside looking into our future.

Your life, my life, our life together, depends upon making the right decision come November.  And for the life of me and pete, just how hard can this be to figure out?

Romney should have 80% of the vote -- taking 20% out to account for the full-blown radicals and riff-raff out there. I have no idea where the media gets its numbers.

[that last part was just thrown in there to make you laugh...it is friday, after all].

EXACTLY.

It's Not the Free Market's Fault Thing

Dear America,

capitalism and the free market and a free people can be so misunderstood...

...while we so happened to have traveled so far away from our country's founding intentions -- crafted by the pure genius of our founding fathers and learned men -- the ordinary citizen has not a chance in recognizing our failure to uphold our duty and responsibility to it...

surely, we have lost our way....
...we have forgotten the reason why
...we have ignored the facts, making up new rules as we go along --  finding ourselves choosing to rationalize bad behavior at every turn, and siding with the irrational, emotional pull of human nature versus sound decision making, we seem to have reached a dead end.

But when allowed to operate correctly, freedom itself, can be best expressed within a free market economy; there is nothing else like it in the world!

According to The Naked Communist,  "It allows everyone to win, either by making a profit or by improving his position as the result of an honest transaction."

Of course, take out "honest" and we all fall down.


IF a company grows a reputation of being dishonest -- if a seller uses tricks and gimmicks to sell an inferior product -- word gets out.  Rather quickly, actually. But let's not get hung up on this aspect...

True free enterprise is based on the value of something and how each party in a transaction wins something in the exchange.   As my little red paperback by W. Cleon Skousen goes on to explain in plain language:

"Take a man who wants to buy a used car.  He has a certain amount of money or credit.  When he offers this money to the dealer it means that he would rather have the car than that amount of money -- the 'value' of the car is greater to him than the 'value' of the money.  If the dealer agrees it means that the dealer would rather have the money than the car.  In fact, he won't sell the car unless the price he gets is of greater value to him than the value of the car...both men have made a profit."

The thing is -- very few of us really respects the dynamic of supply and demand and the true value bestowed upon things that fuels this free market on a daily, moment by moment, transaction after transaction, basis.   Nobody has a gun to somebody's head (aka a penalty, or a tax) to force them to buy a new used car (at least, not yet...health care, yes, a used car, no).

But in a free country, it is the individual who decides what is of value and what is not.

AND  -- at the moment we choose something -- we are expressing our freedom to choose or walk away, to spend or to save, to risk or to play it safe, to buy or not to buy, to sell or not to sell --  basing our decision entirely upon what it is worth to us after weighing it against all pros and cons.

What we fail to teach our children (and ourselves) is the power of that specific, dynamic, revolutionary choice we make.  We fail to teach the great responsibility back behind it, even if it is merely a pack of gum.

As another example from Skousen:

"If a man has ten dollars and chooses to spend it on a night of celebration he has thereby lost the freedom to spend that same ten dollars on some new clothes.  One the choice is made, a person is not free to avoid the consequences of that choice.  That is why we say there is no such thing as unrestricted freedom, or freedom in general.  Freedom is always restricted to some specific choice and freedom is always restricted to choosing one direction at a time."

oh and he continues with this kicker:

"It is for this reason that a free economy requires a continuous education of its people so that they will exercise their "freedom to choose" in such a way that it will sustain sound moral principles and build a dynamic economy with a strong social structure to preserve it.  In making such choices, the people must sense what is best for both the individual and the community [so as to not become a burden on it].  They must be well informed.  They must know enough about each problem so they can anticipate what the result will be when they have made their choice." 

Romney has made phenomenal choices for himself and his family (while his boys seem to be following right behind).

Are the results of Romney's choices simply because he was a ruthless businessman, a capitalist pig?

I think not.

He made good choices based upon, first and foremost, being an honorable  man.  And this man, as part of the private equity firm, Bain Capital, invested into the future value of other companies, basically risking their capital on hand to a future value, virtually unknown.  Each party wanted something of value and were willing to exchange something of value, and so on and so on.

And by the way, there wasn't some kind of magic ball, some kind of built-in GPS system giving directions, you know what I mean... 

There were no guarantees that Staples, for an example, would actually make it.

And certainly, I have no idea of the particulars of the deal.  But somewhere in the mix, both parties came away with something of greater value.   There was an exchange of values (and hard work); and fortunately, in the end, it all  worked out for all parties involved.

Staples only continues to thrive because the public, in general, likes what it sells at the price points they provide.  People work at Staples because they see the value of what they get paid in salary and benefits in exchange for the amount of time and energy they spend there.   Manufacturers continue to cater to Staples, for they, too, appreciate the return on the "value exchange" overall.  And, in turn, the lucky company who sells the packaged health insurance, the corner gas station who fuels the delivery trucks, the neighborhood deli which feeds all the passersby all win (just to name a few).

Throughout every leg of the process, at the very core, a specific choice is made.

And THIS FREEDOM is what it's all about.  This freedom, at one time, was revolutionary; and it was so dynamic, it led in this country's decision making. And we, as a whole, glorified it for all the right reasons.

But oopsie daisy, today... not so much.

We have stopped teaching it.  We have ceased leading with it.  And more often than not, have encouraged vilifying it.

The thing is, as a people, we have made horrendous choices over the last hundred years in government.

As a people, we have enslaved ourselves -- every single one of us!

Now, I know, deep in my heart, that I have made relatively bad choices with my individual freedom to choose (carrying a bevy of consequences in tow).  But it's not anyone else's fault but my own.

While, as a people -- given we have seemingly fallen fast asleep behind the wheel of our fine used car, tagged America -- we are currently dealing with the results of our freedom to choose collectively.  We have made some seriously bone head choices.

I don't even wanna know what some of our founders must be thinking.

The road ahead will not be pretty, nor pink; for we are seeing red everywhere we turn.  Our innocence has been lost upon things frivolous and short sighted.

Our toil has been wasted upon a corrupted exchange of values and control.

The things we should value, we trash; while the things we throw away, are disposed of mindlessly of the consequences it creates.

And strangely enough, the good news is:  we have done this to ourselves.  
[yay...   fist pump for freedom everyone]

For the even better news:  WE CAN FIX IT THE SAME WAY WE BROKE IT.  WE CAN TURN IT ALL AROUND.

All we have to do is make better choices again -- come one and all, individually and collectively.

It's a clunker alright.  But we have the ability to recognize the beauty within -- to re-introduce ourselves to ourselves and the very things that make us special -- the attributes intrinsically built into the free market, capitalist, republic that we are.

We can teach our children -- and our 'brothers and sisters', too --  to be wise in their freedom of choice.

We can teach our representatives that they serve the people.

We can teach our so-called unlimited government that it answers to us.

We can all learn to drive this thing all over again if we have to, whatever it takes.

The freedom to try, to buy, to sell, to fail is our engine.  And without these things working in unison with the ignition being lit by the freedom of choice provided by every single one of us -- responsibly, deliberately, conscientiously, and honorably -- for the benefit of our own life and each other's -- we might as well drive off the proverbial cliff right now.

It works with ideologies, too.

It's called making one good choice after another, until one day, we get back to where we started.  (oh the irony of going backwards in order to move forward with integrity, preserving all the things that make this country pretty wonderful)

It's a Means to a Bitter End Living On and On Thing

I gotta say....great quotations are being made for the history books these days.  wow.


To the press, regarding that drone that is currently MIA (actually, that is totally incorrect -- we know where it is)  anyway, he says, "we have asked for it back."  (yeah -- from Iran! -- that's a good one)

To the press, via 60 Minutes, he says, "I didn't over-promise and I didn't underestimate how hard this was gonna be."  stopping just shy of making a knee-jerk reaction...with a wink into the camera.


Gotta love his audacity, huh.

With a Narcissist-in-Chief like this, who needs enemies, right?


He is right, though.
Everything IS going according to plan.

IF you happen to check in with the G thing from time to time -- you would know I started a new book -- and one that I have been taking my sweet time with, by the way (also known as, reading only when I have a chance).  It is called The Naked Communist.

Jumping into something that may sound off the beaten path, the book makes a point of mentioning how Lenin was admonished for not doing more during the Russian famine for the people.  Putting Lenin's so-called "in-action" this way:

"But Lenin would have none of it.  He would not help set up soup-kitchens nor join a relief committee.  Later is was accused of welcoming the famine as a means of accentuating the suffering of the people and firing up their revolutionary will to act."  and they would be right...

Lenin -- who grew up reading Marx --  eventually grew out of his religious faith as well, aligning himself more and more with the "cynicism of the Marxist interpretation of life."  And in a calculated manner, "to give himself some kind of professional status, Lenin made an intensive study of law."  But after finishing his studies (first in class even)..."Lenin then attempted to practice law, but for some reason lost nearly all his cases and, therefore, abandoned the law and never returned to it."

hmmmm just who does that sound like?

Or maybe, he sounds more like this -- when the book describes one of Lenin's favorite comrades, Leon Trotsky, as "a handsome, arrogant, anti-social intellectual who sometimes offended his fellow-Marxists because of his flare for elegant clothes."  (or was it the outrageous number of vacations and golf outings???)

But it was Joseph Stalin who could really relate to the people -- characterized as a "true revolutionary member of the peasant class -- a rough, unrelenting, two-fisted man of ruthless action."

It is about a page and a half later, when this naked Communist is uprooted fully in all of his glory --

"The years 1907-1913 were pick-and-shovel years for Joseph Stalin.  No one could accuse him of being merely an 'intellectual Communist' as they sometimes described Lenin.  Stalin learned every trick of propaganda, pressure politics, mass communications, strike techniques and labor agitation."

Guess this president wasn't as "shovel ready" as we thought.

Hardly.  Again, going back to what we noted a few paragraphs up -- everything is going according to plan.

The answer to everything is absolutely nothing.  And let me quickly explain:

he is speaking down to the nation's CEO's who create and manage the jobs  (for the workers).

Besides being of the belief that progress, ergo technology, takes away jobs and opportunity for the little worker bees (remember that day...the Proletariat-in-Chief revolting against the ATM's and airport kiosks) -- also known as, buying into Fallacy #12, as laid out in my new favorite read, The Naked Communist; it's the one that "[assumes] that technological developments would make machines more and more efficient and therefore throw so many men out of work that they would compete for jobs until wages would become more and more meager..."

...the president is also fiercely supporting the very same mindset that is being promoted by the latest round of revolutionaries of the Occupy Wall Street movement; clearly misguided by their own ignorance -- of How the Real World Works, and more importantly, how the real world requires everyone to work together -- our president takes a side.  And it isn't the right one.  Matter of fact, it is quite un-American to boot.

With the arrival of the factory -- and the factory worker -- Karl Marx and his partner in crime-inism, Friedrich Engels, came to the realization that the evil capitalists, and all their wares, would eventually, most assuredly, be overthrown.  They figured that there would come a day when the modern world would test this relationship of worker bee and CEO; and even though communism survives merely upon one fallacy built upon another -- when answering the question as to the social responsibility of the simple factory, Marx and Engels truly believed "no private individual should get the profits from something which many people were required to produce."

Again, from The Naked Communist:

"Marx and Engels did not believe that wages were adequate compensation for labor performed unless the workers received all the proceeds from the sale of the commodity.  Since the hands of the workers produced the commodity they believed the workers should receive all the commodity was worth.  They believed that the management and operation of a factory were only 'clerical in nature' and that in the near future the working class should rise up and seize the factories or means of production and operated them as their own."

like that would solve anything.

but details, right; while this incite is only immediately followed up with a question, "without his willingness to risk considerable wealth would there be any factory?"

you know, tomorrow, the Occupy Wall Street revolutionaries plan on taking down Wall Street -- they have every intention to bring it to a screeching halt using whatever means available and possible.

I cannot help but notice how incredibly easy it is for people to pipe up and revolt AFTER the wealth, after the profits, after some people might have made more money than others (in perfect relationship to the degree of effort, responsibility, investment, and level of risk put up in the first place).

But when a president of the United States -- the birthplace of self-reliance and mass purveyor of free enterprise, independent commerce, free trade, with equal protections and opportunity safely held under the Rule of Law for one and all -- continuously speaks of such ill will against those 'who risk', in effect it becomes real cause to sound the alarm. This progression is inevitable within the common sense frame of mind.

Just who is this guy and what are his true beliefs?

There is just one more excerpt from The Naked Communist that I wish to share aloud... before I give it a rest for the day:

A real, live, naked, Communist rests his future upon the belief that "each will produce according to his ability and and each will receive according to his need."  And in order for this to succeed, the motivation to turn a profit (large or small) is replaced with working to benefit society as a whole -- replacing a nation built upon a Declaration of Independence and Constitution with a new one; and thereby transforming a nation of self-reliant capitalists with the proletariat's pipe dream... giving rise to a collective authority and priority, as dictated by the state. [and, of course, ending with extinguishing all incentive to progress as individuals at all]

It begins with presidents (kings, dictators...) declaring a class struggle in every possible way.  It progresses, with advancements in technology made to look evil -- with risk takers, and the whole lot  (especially those pesky CEO's) made to look utterly lazy.

It's a Naked Christmas Tree Thing

just in case you wanna know, I have been busy.

Knee deep in reading this week -- just a little gift to self that keeps on giving [to myself]; and at the top of the book pile with top priority is..............The Naked Communist.  Oh MY Goodness.  Winner winner chicken dinner.  Un&%#*ingbelievable.  What a good book.  It is so good, I am taking my time with it.

So between the reading and the recently added part time work that has become a full time job -- my energies have been twisted at best, and totally shot at worst.  But enough about me.


I just had to jump in to chat it up a wee bit today.   And no, not to talk about my little sugar Cain; not to talk about Gloria 'pumped up kicks' Allred...of course, that little nickname of hers should make you wonder; and no, not even to talk about the hypocrisy of realities that surely lives and breathes within the Left aorta of the heart of society.

No, I am gonna lock into one thing and one thing only -- and as it would turn out, it has nothing to do with anything related to the Herman Cain scandal.

No.  I am here today to mention the Christian tax -- all wrapped up and tied with a bow at The Heritage Foundation.  [yeah, they didn't refer to it as a "Christian Tax" -- but I will]

So FIRST -- GO HERE.

I know.  What's the big &%$*ing deal, right Joe...as in Biden....because that's just the way we roll around here.... it's just fifteen cents.  

But think about it.

The Left continuously picks and chooses when they enter the 'separation of church and state' zone and when they don't (of course, the idea itself -- of this so-called "separation" -- is a whole 'nother controversy...which WE have not enough time for today).

But the whole thing is odd, really.

The Administration has decided it needs yet another department to elevate the image of the Christmas tree, of all things.  Which makes me wonder, why now?   which is funny, considering that it seems to be a common refrain around here these days (indeed, and it does sound like we are gonna circle around back to Cain, but no, not really).

But anyway, here's some details, handpicked from the post written by David S. Addington, from Heritage:

....in the era of let's take God out of everywhere -- and often -- especially that crazy Christian one, this administration targets Christians, in the particular, charging fifteen cents a pop to "enhance the  image of Christmas trees?"  under the guise of "helping" the Christmas tree industry, you think charging more for them is going to be a benefit?  in a recession?  (yes, the recession...still)  but seriously?

AND you want a bunch of left wing, secular bureaucrats to run the program?

hold up while I get a good belly laugh on the floor...morphing, of course, into an even bigger, better cry (aka fully enhanced)..

Way to ring in the Christmas season, Mr. President.

And pulleeze -- don't even try to give me the cultural Christmas excuses -- Christmas, all of it, including but not limited to all of it's symbols, especially the Christmas Tree -- is celebrating the birth of Jesus.  Do Jewish people get a tree?  do Hindus get a tree?  do Muslims get a tree?  NO  NO  and hat trick NO.

Sure, these days, it is hard to tell; but maybe that is the problem (and we'll save that for another day).

Given my mood -- being totally unnerved and unsettled by this little book highlighting the true color of red defining Communism -- perhaps this news is just poorly timed according to my own little world. 

But is it just me?

and call me funny -- but wasn't the president, just last week, mocking Congress (and God) all in the same breath, when he was trying to push his latest jobs bill?  When he thought congressional actions to be incredulous, spending essential time to "re-affirm" our motto, "In God We Trust" ...like, what a waste of time that was....stupid congress...and like, how is just trusting in God gonna help us make jobs...

So lets talk about waste then:   On a day, of all days, when you announce cutting back on government "swag" all the way around the evergreen branches --  tell me -- just how many bureaucrats will it take to "enhance" an image that clearly doesn't need this kind of help?  what will that really cost us, the taxpayer, when all things are said, and done, and promoted, by a government gaggle of unbelievers?   Is this part of that thing Michelle was referring to --  in re-defining our traditions and whatnot?

sounds like we are beginning to 'change our history' -- beginning with re-defining the Christmas Tree for us; playing with the altering of it's image, perhaps.... it's meaning... and overall, transforming and ENHANCING our traditions...because I'm with the government and I'm here to help.

It's not that I was being lazy, or that I didn't have anything to say (yeah, like, fat chance on that, right? -- some can only hope). I think my absence could be best described as finding myself in the middle of a melt down.

But today, let us not dwell on that; or putting it another way, think of little old G more like "leading from behind."
