It's a Shaken and Stirred Thing

Dear America,

welcome to the "ode to the art of the feign" day

suspect on the bottom:  Michelle O...with excerpts swiped from The Globe and Mail --

“I can’t stop thinking about this. It has shaken to me to my core in a way that I couldn’t have predicted,” the first lady said. “So while I would love nothing more than pretend that this isn’t happening and come out here and do my normal campaign speech, it would be dishonest and disingenuous to just move onto the next thing like this was all a bad dream. This is not something we can ignore.”
Mrs. Obama said the comments made by Trump are part of a long history of demeaning women.
“We have a candidate for president of the United States who over the course of his lifetime, over the course of this campaign, has said things about women that are shocking, so demeaning,” she said. “I simply will not repeat anything here today. Last week, we actually saw this candidate bragging about sexually assaulting women. I can’t believe I’m saying that, a candidate for president of the United States bragged about sexually assaulting women.”
Mrs. Obama went onto say the comments were forcing women to recollect painful memories of when they were harassed in their offices or sexually assaulted.
“The truth is it hurts. It hurts,” she said.

so let's head back to earlier in the week when little old gthang mentioned RAP, k...

Little Miss Moochelle MyBelle Obama is a hypocrite, with emphasis on the hips.

SHE and HER husband have best friends -- many, I'm sure; but two of them happen to be JAY Z and Beyonce, k?   and they sing things...things like this:

13. "Now my mascara running, red lipstick smudged/ Yeah, he's so horny he wants to f---/ He popped all my buttons and he ripped my blouse/ He Monica Lewinsky-ed all on my gown/ Oh Daddy, Daddy, he didn't bring the towel/ Oh baby, baby, we better slow it down"   (from Beyonce)

5) “You ain’t no better because you don’t be f*cking rappers / You only f*ck with actors / You’re still getting f*cked backwards” – Jay Z
"One of the main conceits of misogyny is that getting f*cked means you are a lesser being, and Jay Z epitomizes that sentiment here."  [noted quote, from here @Elitedaily]

And that,  my friends, is called a two-fer ...or is it more a menage en trois--- Beyonce highlights an Oval Office affair with the former President Bill Clinton, while glorifying a raunchy sexual escapade...while her husband sings about using women in such a way -- oh, how did Michelle put it -- it's just so shocking!  So demeaning to women, you know...shaken me to the core.

Sure, it's different when we make art out of sexual promiscuity and lewd acts; and never you mind how THAT SAME Bill Clinton was voted into every office of government, beginning in the seventies and starting in Arkansas --  and has had on the record numerous "encounters" with women, that include, but are not limited to: rape, sexual assault, long term and short term affairs.  Clinton was elected with a history of abuse!  With HILLARY's full support!  [Just don't embarrass me, she said...]

And Michelle just loves Bill and Hill, throwing her full support HER direction.

He's paid for abortions, he's paid off Paula Jones [850 grand! -- this link goes way back to let's party like it's 1999, too]...sure, no wonder... the Clinton's may very well have been broke when they left the presidency, after having to pay big time for legal defense and cover-ups and just the all around handling and fondling of  many many things.

Then there is THIS more eloquent response, taken from Jeffrey Lord, The American Spectator. [As good as this piece is, it left out an entire chapter of what happened @Chappaquiddick, emphasis on dick.  It's what we call a situation where the dick in question actually left a girl to die in a river bed after a party...Oh, but it is so wonderful having his endorsement, huh, Michelle]

SO Michelle is supporting Hillary now -- even though HILLARY has enabled the sexual predator she has been married to for forever...lied for him, called the women names and even turned blame back on the women in question, over and over and over again -- as if emotionally raping the women at every turn (kinda like that Jay Z song, but different).  And Michelle just loved Ted Kennedy -- just so grateful for his endorsement back in 2008.  Oh, that was just worthy of repeating it, is all.

Really, Michelle?  Is that seriously how you want to spin all of this, Michelle?
What you say shakes me to my core.

So now that we've covered the bottom rung, let's go to the suspect on top, shall we?

HILLARY CLINTON HERself.

Katie Pavlich, @Townhall published this over two years ago!  HELLO!  It's a legacy Hillary seems to stand by, and even feign to repeat if need be;  and yet -- there she is -- speaking out of both sides of her mouth like a true politician.  She's so dirty.

What difference at this point does it make, Hillary, if, in fact, Trump's behavior might be seen  as being in the same "sexual predator" category as your dear Bill (what is it you call him?...right, c&%$ sucker).  Why you act like you are so upset, girl?

Thing is, it's not about Bill anymore; it's about HER.

And HER --  HiLIARy  -- has NO CREDIBILITY.  None. It's hilarious for anyone to believe she does.

She cannot have it both ways.  Liberals and Progressives cannot have it both ways.

And actually -- being of the female persuasion, myself -- this girl believes the optics are just as damaging for HER -- if not more so!  While this business of feigning this thing called self-righteous indignation against the sexual predator, allegedly in Trump, is absurd; it's simply a self-serving indulgence that she does not have nor deserve.

Any speck of integrity surviving HER history standing by HER man, leaves HER with no legs...no hips....no tits...and no ass -- just a phony smile from ear to ear.   Wait a minute.  Correction -- maybe we can let her keep the ass all to HERself, if that could ever happen.

If Hillary really wanted to be a role model, pioneering a new world for women -- she would have walked away from Bill a long time ago; but she clearly decided to use Bill for political expediency and perks that would enable her own ambitions.   And seeing HERself as the first woman on the ticket for president is worth every disparaging remark she ever made about Juanita, Paula, Gennifer, Monica... it all worked out, right.

And gosh, just listen to me; and after all the pleasant things I said yesterday, too...what a shame.

It's just that this day finds me so pissed at the double standards that continue to wreak havoc, if not fuck republicans at every turn.  SICK OF IT!  Hear that, Michelle, Hill?

In a perfect world -- this girl would like us all to get along, play by the same rules, do the right thing, be nice, treat ALL people with respect, yaddi yada yada.  Indeed.   There IS something to be said for the Golden Rules; and the best part about them, is that they are an equal opportunity, cultural phenomenon of guidelines and suggestions of behavior that have truly worked...when we use them!

I woke up this morning wishing the presidential campaign was back on topic and discussing the bounty of bigger fish to fuck and fry.  And on that note, happy friday.

Make it a Good Day, G

[which reminds me... we have yet to talk about the slander against Catholics and Evangelicals coming out of the Clinton campfire...maybe some other time...But you know what they say, where there is smoke, look for the mirror on the ceiling.]

It's a Day to Be Unglued Thing

Dear America,

UNGLUED.

We are all unglued now.

From her opening thought -- on loan from Justice William O. Douglas, we get it:

"As nightfall does not come all at once, neither does oppression.  In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged.  And it is in such a twilight that we all must be most aware of change is in the air -- however slight -- lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness."

and you say, so...

So, upon this premise, we promptly received eleven chapters, narrowing the views of virtually ten steps into the dark abyss after reminding us of a few thoughts from the founders -- you know, establishing the "fragility of democracy" and all.

So, from the first step..."invoke an external and internal threat"..."establish secret prisons"..."develop a paramilitary force"..."surveil  ordinary citizens"..."infiltrate citizens groups"..."arbitrarily detain and release citizens"..."target key individuals"..."restrict the press"..."cast criticism as 'espionage' and dissent as 'treason' "....

to the last --  "subvert the rule of law" -- she maligns and attacks every nook and cranny and brings to light atrocities and abuse of power.   From her first thought to her last, our true liberties are contemplated, questioned, interrogated; while some might even say --  dare I say -- water boarded from top to bottom.

It's all in for Naomi Wolf, as her 2007 expose on an administration goes wild, The End of America.

And all I can think about is, she must be feeling pretty unglued now.

She says,

One reason dictators demand access to such private data is that this scrutiny breaks down citizens' sense of being able to act freely against those in power.  Such intrusions also erode citizens' loyalties to civil and professional groups and redirect their primary loyalty to the state...
...With these early steps in place, people start to restrict their own activities voluntarily.  They start to think twice about bulk-emailing the 'Impeach George Bush' message, or checking Amnesty International's Website to see what Iraqis with relatives held in U.S. -run prisons are saying, or sending information about the Professor Ward Churchill controversy to a friend.
In that atmosphere, dissent stifles itself before it can develop.  Surveillance leads to fear, and fear leads to silence:
And silence is un-American.

Amen to that sister.

we are all sisters and brothers now.

But let's not dwell in a foxhole, moving on to nearly the end of her story, she says:

Bush has used more signing statements than any other president.  The way Bush is using signing statements essentially relegates Congress to an advisory role.  This abuse lets the president choose what laws he wished to enforce or not, overruling Congress and the people.  So Americans are living under laws their representatives never passed.  Signing statements put the president above the law...
[um, not done]

Fascists coming to power in a weakened democracy simply start to ignore those assumed agreements.
On the back cover of "one of the most important books that's been written, certainly in the last decade or two, and perhaps in my lifetime" so says Thom Hartmann, best-selling author and host of The Thom Hartmann Radio Program --

Wes Boyd, co-founder of MoveOn.org says, "Naomi Wolf sounds the alarm for all American patriots.  We must come together as a nation and recommit ourselves to the fundamental American idea that no president, whether Democrat or Republican, will ever be given unchecked power."

No, here's a good one:  "You will be shocked and disturbed by this book.  Most Americans reject outright any comparison of post 9/11 America with the fascism and totalitarianism of Nazi Germany or Pinochet's Chile.  Sadly, the parallels and similarities, what Wolf calls the 'echoes' between those societies and America today, are all too compelling," so says Michael Ratner, Center of Constitutional Rights.

So, what you all say now?

Political Hypocrisy is the new epidemic.

In another light, see also results of the social experimentation by voting blocks in Mississippi, here.

The reflection of the scum on the surface of the Republican party is not only revolting, it makes it nearly impossible to see the real thing.

This despicable GOP is not me.

Of course, this context immediately puts coming unglued in America into a whole 'nother dimension.  There are not words -- nothing -- to explain the slanderous intent and vile behavior of the republican establishment and the lengths they went to to destroy, annihilate, the Tea Party and the candidate, Chris McDaniel.  We can only hope at this point that The Establishment's fate might just be sealed -- super glued, perhaps -- and it's called winning the battle only to lose the war.

By all accounts -- if being totally honest and truthful with thy self --  "the Tea Party" just consists of people like Naomi Wolf, Wes Boyd, Michael Ratner and me.  [Only said that to make myself laugh, for desperate times call for desperate measures, doncha know.]

No.
What defines unglued is the latest news on our southern border.

And to think, a couple weeks ago, when joking about the high speed rail set up from Central America to America, who knew just how much of that was true!

We missed talking about the ad for escorts.  And just in case you missed it:

“provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven days a week, 365 days a year. … There will be approximately 65,000 [unaccompanied alien children] in total.”
Posted January 29, 2014 @ FedBizOpps.gov.
And thank you, Washington Times.

We missed talking about the invitation to come to America...with a response so huge...undermining our securing and leaving our border vulnerable in every possible way.  See shocking fliers telling Mexicans to come and America will feed you.

"The ones we are losing are convicted felons, aliens from special interest countries, and other high risk individuals. We are so overwhelmed and preoccupied by the flood of juveniles and family units that we cannot use our resources to catch the more serious aliens,"  the agent states.  FOR MORE, go here.
We missed talking about where they go from here.  Truth be told, here being 'here, there and everywhere.'

Crazy is the administration who masterminds this kind of chaos, usurping the rule of law while undermining America's security and economic future.

Ah yes, never let a crisis go to waste.

But now, if we are going to talk about getting unglued -- we would be remiss to miss lending any of our tantrum time to the IRS and Benghazi and the dishonorable trade of five terrorists for a "prisoner of war" without Congressional approval.  No matter, baby steps as little old G finds her way back to being the keeper on the day.

Now the mass exodus to freedom in America hit the mainstream just as I was taking a mass hiatus from civilization to entertain family, to celebrate my girl's graduation, and more or less, to leave the blog high and dry [with no regrets, btw].   But looking back, oh to be in two places at the same time.

And boom.
That's just it.

We can't be in two places in principle at the same time, unless of course, the two principles are one in the same --  for the same thing goes as the same thing goes, republican or democrat, no matter what.

The thing is, today, in America, we seem to have lost our ability to give ourselves our own checks and balances.  It's  not just about our representatives anymore; it's about each and every one of us to check ourselves at the door, on the border, on the prairie, in the boardroom, in chaos, in our living rooms, on call, on the campaign trail -- whether in the Oval Office, the halls of Congress, our own backyard, or not.  Are we asking ourselves the tough questions; is our response the same when faced within our own party affiliation?  Community?  Are we in integrity and fully aligned with our word, with our actions, with our opinion, with our response, come our side or another?

Everywhere and often, check.

Check and double check.

Got glue?
Check.

Feel the balance.

From John Locke:

To this end it is that men give up all their natural power to the society they enter into, and the community put the legislative power into such hands as they think fit, with this trust, that they shall be governed by declared laws, or else their peace, quiet, and property will still be at the same uncertainty as it was in the state of Nature.

But then again,

"Even the best of men
in authority are liable
 to be corrupted by passion"

right, Aristotle?

SO,

"We may conclude
then that the law is reason
without passion,
 and it is therefore
preferable to any individual."

Or else, with darkness setting in,  it may just be the end of America.

Nite Nite.

Make it a Good Day, G
In Epi-Blog

While this administration shows a certain restraint when using Executive Orders to affect change and fundamental transformation (so far, roughly administering the same number as Bushie), using more informal "executive actions" through policy changes seems to be the way to circumvent the unfair attention and scrutiny (because he's black) (yeah, right).

Policy changes are what a community organizer does best.
Social Justice, unconscionable energy policy, redistribution of wealth,  marginalizing the strength of our military and ability to defend our borders and align with democracies worldwide -- whether by the slow, unsuspecting nudge or by the boot to the neck or in a response to a crisis, the end justifies the means...  and when we say the end, we mean, the end.

It's the Freedom to Make It or Break It Kind of Thing

Dear America,

the condition of being free from restraints

liberty of the person from slavery, oppression, or incarceration

political independence

possession of civil rights; immunity from the arbitrary exercise of authority

exemption from unpleasant or onerous conditions

the capacity to exercise choice: free will

-- all found in the American Heritage Dictionary --

and THIS is just the beginning; this is just the start of the discussion of freedom and liberty for all.

You know what freedom looks like?

You know what freedom feels like?

You know what freedom sounds like?

Freedom, in and of itself, is a full spectrum of ideals and experiences unique to each and every one of us. We just know when we're feeling it, loving it and living the dream in it and when we are not.

As the Occupy Wall Street protestors live on to ring in another day of chanting, 'this is what democracy looks like' -- I would like to think that most of us watching the spectacle are just thinking to ourselves, ah, like, no.

The protestors seem quite keen on explaining and protecting their personal freedoms (even if the convoluted message as to the why gets totally lost in the crowd) -- but just how is it possible that these freedom-lovin', bull-horn tootin', loquacious libertarians can't seem to grasp the incredible and incalculable essential missing link?

WE CANNOT TAKE THE FREEDOM FROM ONE PERSON SIMPLY TO GIVE IT TO ANOTHER. America was not designed that way; while the free market doesn't work that way; and this goes without saying, it is not a commodity to trade, give, sell, lose, or barter in any way.  You just wouldn't know it by looking at us right now, now would you?

The protestors seem quite keen on believing that their personal freedom should be shored up, building their rationale upon what seems right and fair in their favor -- but the freedom marker stops right there.  Wall Street, however -- and anyone connected to those dirty, greedy bastards -- should have their freedom cut off at the knees.  &*$% 'em.   Lock 'em all up... or how about this one...something to the effect of  'let's just eat them' [oh and you doubt me?  go here].

and I bet you all wouldn't hurt a flee...probably escort spiders on a magic magazine carpet to safely shoo them out the door...dripping of sweetness and light protecting the dolphins, the whales, that special lizard found only in the northwest quadrant of Texas...  but look out when it comes to certain fellow human beings, real people with a heart beat, a mom, and perhaps a family of their own.  sure, ya love your guns and ammo then, now doncha?

ya know, this just might run counter to what you all assume to be the truth of conservatives everywhere and often -- and directing my thoughts to the roaring props for peace with the rising socialist sun -- but I want you to have your freedom just as much as my own.

I want that for you.
I want you to be happy, healthy, inspired in your daily life to earn a living and grow your own -- whether that is a family, a company, a hedge fund, or a garden of weed(s).  I want that for you. DO you want that for me -- and for all the rest of us you share this land?

Peaceful protests are apart of the fabric of our lives, our history, giving us a snapshot to look back on and say, this is what democracy looks like (then); there is that.

But just think about what you are saying. Think about the hypocrisy underwriting the very platform for which you chant.  Currently, your so-called organic movement is being funded and supplied and made possible with the very money/organization of which you want to annihilate and beat into the ground.   yeah, just move on dot org, nothing to see here...

We could start with the biggest ingrate in the world, George Soros -- given that his brilliant liberal ass made billions off of playing with other people's money and investments, destroying currency, and building up a left-wing empire off of the beauty of the free market, using Wall Street all the way.  We could start there.

But I am having too good of a morning to go there, to dwell on the new King George, any further than that.

Are these kids really that dumb?  Are they really that ignorant of the hand that's played them (the youth) over and over and over again?  Are they really that incapable of connecting all the dots?

As my link above outlines a certain level of absurdity -- given the context of 'we are, after all, dealing with America here'  -- Alex Newman's first sentence says it all:

"Labor unions, communists, “community organizers,” socialists, and anti-capitalist agitators have all joined together to “Occupy Wall Street” and protest against “greed,” corporations, and bankers."
since when has the majority of every day Americans been okay with this "fundamental transformation" -- akin to socialists, communists, anti-capitalists in any way?  just how could even one democrat in office think these kids have their head on straight, endorsing them to carry on [thanks bloomberg], as if deserving to be enshrined in perpetuity as the voice of reason? [God bless 'em, right, Nance...]

Thinking this "redistribution" thing all the way through, is that really where we want to go?

Let me ask you -- picturing a brand new socialist regime ....even more hard core than the one we've got now, if you can imagine that -- would we have more or less personal freedom?

it's a simple question.

If we let "the protestors" have there way and let "Wall Street" -- "Bankers, in general, and many in particular" -- and all evil corporations large and small --  extinguish into thin air -- what kind of real world would we have, besides the spontaneous combustion of total chaos?

Nancy Pelosi has already pulled in over a half a million dollars from Wall Street since the last election; while it has been reported, that Obama has made more money from Wall Street than any other politician over the last twenty years!  Hold up ...let me find some back up for you...here you go.  Here's even more.

ahh sunshine on my shoulders DOES make me happy.

"SOCIALISM
is a philosophy of failure,
the creed of ignorance,
and the gospel of envy,
it's inherent virtue
is the equal sharing of misery."

Winston Churchill

and worse,
it feels like slavery,
while to the naked eye,
it looks like
Occupy Wall Street
but on steroids,
and smells like
the freedom
to live,
but in ruin

just G

"...Eisenhower built the Interstate Highway System.  Previous generations built the Hoover Dam.  Our researchers developed the Internet.  These people didn’t make it on their own who are now in Silicon Valley.  The reason they’re successful is not only because of their extraordinary work, but it’s because they’re building on the collective effort of America.

Nobody makes it on their own.  That’s what this country is about.  We have always been a land of opportunity and self-reliance and rugged individualism, but we’ve also looked after each other.  We’ve also said we’re in it together..."
Barack Obama,

where it comes from, who really cares, right?

"Nobody makes it on their own. That's what this country is about."  nobody.
so on that note -- tomorrow -- we just might have to start there.

It's Good Intentions and Blind Ambition Thing

Dear America,

so...I guess the possibility of getting a blog burst poolside never really had a chance.  This girl has been gone, long gone, for two whole weeks; hence the beginning of my guilt trip as we speak. Which immediately sends me into the realm of facing a stark reality....good intentions are so overrated, are they not?

For what gets done if we merely intend to do something -- think about doing something -- ponder about the possibility of doing something?  NOTHING.  Absolutely nothing.

Even if I were to jump in right now and say I missed you -- that I missed showing up on the page, if even for a nano second before ordering another Mai Tai -- it would be meaningless, wouldn't it?

I mean, I guess I didn't miss you enough now did I?

I mean, I didn't stop what I was doing long enough to drop in with even so much as a breaking news update. Nor did I have sufficient command of my sense and sensibilities to add my two cents to the conversation even following acts of God and mother nature, as in the 5.8 magnitude earthquake felt up the entire east coast or during the days of heavy -- torrential -- flights of anticipation, only to be outdone in the aftermath of devastation, following Hurricane Irene. While it has already been weeks since the much ado about nothing three day presidential "bus" tour just before the start of his much needed simpleton vacation, albeit in Martha's Vineyard.

Hopefully by now, everyone is fully aware that the grassroots bus tour -- of the people, for the people -- was a total fraud.  This president of ours was only on the bus long enough to ride into town resting his reputation solely upon making the right impression -- once the speech was over, the last hand was shook, he was on the bus just long enough to take him back to the closest airport where he would be swooped up into thin air and carried to the next townhall meeting. Even his buses didn't go by ground!

This from a president who wants to teach us a thing or two through EPA regulation along with the advent of his brand new mileage requirements for the auto industry in order to stem the tide of fuel dependency.  This from a president decidedly micromanaging the very fuel, the natural resource required and paramount to the daily feedings of the hybrids plugged into the wall from sea to shining sea --  the coal industry -- and then basically creating the very conditions to witness it's slow death.

I guess we could say the president's intentions may have been good, to get out on the bus and meet and greet the people on his "listening tour" while "talking jobs."  But somewhere along the greyhound fine lines, after the truth is highlighted in fluorescent yellow, the message gets lost in translation meeting up with reality, doesn't it?   Just how can a guy tooting conservation of fossil fuels, even if that means penalizing industries, threatening jobs and livelihoods far and wide through overzealous governmental controls, actually get away with it when in fact his own actions do not walk the talk?

And yet where is the outrage from the media calling him out on it?  Where is Daryl Hannah on this?  Sure, she is upset with the pipeline guys, the oil execs etc., but where pray tell is her outrage for a president -- a president who doesn't think twice before making TWO fossil fuel burning buses (by Canadian workers, by the way) only to use in between stops -- merely for superficial appearances only -- before jetting off in something that leaves a carbon footprint exponentially far greater?  How can Daryl not use this opportunity to use this president's abuse of power and fossil fuels to make an even greater case for herself?

Daryl's intention is simply to bring the oil industry in America down, even if it jeopardizes America's energy independence, even if the rest of the world continues to capitalize on this fundamental resource for everything under the sun; the intention is to cast those on the side of good and evil based purely upon lines of ideology -- not in reality, not in common sense, not even in truth -- let alone without posing as a total hypocrite.

This bus tour fraud is still timely, Daryl; there is still plenty of time for you to speak up -- I dare you.

Our good intentions mean nothing without the proper follow through.  Our good intentions are elevated only with action, with discipline, of course in keeping with an inherent responsibility to the whole.

From a little book called The Book of Life, by Robert Collier (published himself in 1925):

"If you are doing nothing,
if there is no driving,
no hurrying, no working,
you may count upon it that there will be no results.
Nothing much worth while in the years to come."

now remember -- it may be true that I really missed you deep in my heart over the last two weeks. But the truth is, I am here showing up for more myself than anybody else.  I seem to be the one who needs to be reminded of what works and what doesn't work; I seem to be the one who needs to reflect upon values and principles that bring lasting success.  I seem to be the one holding onto my best intentions to keep a daily record of the world around me. With or without you, the absence of showing up here was sorely missed.

I missed this through and through.

We have so much going on in the world right now; while in this day after of my family's departure, my intentions were to swing into a lighthearted recounting of the visit.  You know, like beginning with the discovery of the little mouse who saved a shrimp at the bottom of the fridge.  Yes -- that would be one shrimp on a ten inch plate with enough sauce on the side for twenty -- which was saved or created for future use (just a little love wink to my mama).

Perhaps to the outsider this would be like no big deal -- but unlike popular belief based on the amount of crud at the bottom of my window sills and glazing every inch of the glass as my papa has come to expect each visit -- my fridge is one area of my life that my OCD lives and breathes ad infinitum.  I would rather die or eat the last shrimp then save it along side a baggy amounting to about a tablespoon of coleslaw or the jar safekeeping the last quarter cup of gravy.  It is just not my thing.   I mean, my soda cans and bottles all face forward at attention, if you know what I mean. The labels face in the same direction, at the same angle, in line -- as if I were opening up a deli case and quickly glancing by color coded and brand selection.

Needless to say, I gobbled up the last shrimp and moved on with a giggle and a smile.

And speaking of family, I very much intend to get into the new language coming out of Washington, with multiple parties and widespread usage over the last couple of days already at a staggering number, highlighting the "federal family." Yet I should disclose, if my last two weeks give any indication and much like the way of the world and how this girl rolls, good intentions don't mean a thing.  Who knows what tomorrow may bring, let alone the next day, let alone what I will want to talk about.

But just in case I never say another word about it, me thinks the nanny state is beginning to show it's true colors; little by little, the "federal family" wants to take over the real family, your life, in every way.  The new America according to this administration is replacing your family altogether as the more and more of your needs (and wants) come from government. just sayin'.

Boy, did I miss this through and through.  See you tomorrow.

Make it a Good Day, G

Dear America,

"Meanwhile along comes Barack Obama.
No military experience.
Never even pretended to be a duck hunter.
And yet he shows the kind of quiet strength
that doesn't need to prove itself,
except in the act of doing what needs to be done.
No gloating or boasting
(think of that silent visit to Ground Zero).
Just taking responsibility,
while giving the credit to those who risked the most.

In other words, the cowboy way.
Funny how truly modern that turned out to be."
Spencer Critchley
a Business Insider guy

and good morning vietnam!
(say it like robin williams in one of his best roles ever)

and just what kind of alternative reality have we slipped into?

Of course, we're not in kansas  vietnam any longer, now are we Trigger?

So scratch vietnam and take out williams; substitute afghanistan and bring in obama -- and we come to a mountainous backdrop, dry terrain, miles from home, only about 40 years later; and, by my rough count, about a dirty dozen altercations in between...if we were to round up world skirmishes and American kinetic military action  into a number we can use as a jumping point.

Think about it -- beginning sometime after Vietnam, and perhaps trying not to remember the Tehran hostage rescue that didn't exactly go down as planned.... after Grenada...after Beirut, Persian Gulf, Somalia, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and adding limited military occupations in Haiti (even before the earthquake), the Philippines, in Panama, and whatever we want to call L'bya, we are entrenched, or have been entrenched, or intend to be entrenched, wherever freedom calls.  Because America is good like that.

But only someone like the Chosen One could have the uber-liberals let him get away with this sort of thing as if he were better than Churchill, Eisenhower, and John Wayne combined; even when he is clearly gloating, 'spiking the football' (for two weeks now, mind you) the people not only understand him....they cut him extra slack.

The people get him. And, as lady luck should have it, seem to find an excuse and a rationale for everything he does...because he is just that kind of cool, calm, collected; and if I may be so bold, add understated, a man of few words (haha), just a long hard stare across the bar seems to do the trick; for, you know, he is, after all, a cowboy.

Love to get an update from a HuffPo guy, Robert Naiman.  Way back in 2010, he was questioning the media's sudden anti-war one eighty, wondering where oh where have all the real press men gone.   After falling totally and unabashedly and shamelessly under Obama's spell, as if flashing a garter and a smile is enough to put a kabosh on whatever honor and integrity they got left; it doesn't matter.

as if nothing matters no more no more.

yeah, yeah, why don't you come up and see me sometime...I believe you can be had...
(just a little Mae West thrown in for kicks and giggles).

Naiman ran the numbers:  under Bush, the number of US casualties in  Afghanistan during his entire eight years of office came to 575 (my count, 630); while at the time of Naiman's post, in August 2010, the count came to nearly the exact same total under Roy -Obama-Rogers.   And suga', to put it mildly, to put things in perspective, apples to apples, that is doubling the same number of casualties before even reaching a half way point of his first term . Cowboy, indeed.

Today, according to the iCasualties website, that number jumps to 941 -- and what is today?  May 11, 2011 -- just TWO years and THREE months and Twenty One days into office!  Adding the combined NATO forces, we find that under the Bush Administration, a total of 1049 troops were lost over the course of EIGHT years; and to date, under Cowboy Joe-Bama, we have lost 1400 real, live soldiers in real time over the course of only two years --
the infantry...our gunslinger's... our wrangler's, gaucho's and countrymen -- our sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, mothers and fathers...these people are real live soldiers...cowboys of the highest order.

So let the record show, Obama deserves praise for the gunfight that led to the bullet in the eye of perhaps one of the greatest villains of our time -- and on top of that, he has led the world in a war that has seen the greatest loss of life under his watch, as opposed to his predecessor.  yippie kie yo and a bottle of whiskey.  happy days are here again.  can you hear me now?

And our unbiased media, where are they?
Just where is the soldier watch?
Just where is the media counting coffins?
Oh, that's right.  The media was asked to leave months ago; no longer can even friendly fire, a biased media front line, get a front row picture spot for the record.  yes indeed, we got ourselves a new sheriff in town and he ain't taken no guff.  oh, never you mind...

And what's rosie o'donnell whining about -- where's bin Laden's rights for a fair trial??????  really?  Hey rosie, where is the continuing outrage over the loss of troops -- you know, someone's son, daughter, wife, husband, father, mother?   And you ask, where was bin BadMan's due process?  c'mon. seriously?  And just where are the rest of you, speaking to our left wing journalists and pajama-pundits -- just where is the raising cain you served up liberally along with the chuck wagons every night?

In truth, I set out this morning prepared to blaze a trail all over the remarks made by the Cowboy-in-Chief while in Texas just yesterday;  I was ready to come out with both guns firing with a line of ammo crisscrossing my chest like a grechita bandito and pick apart nearly every word from the moment he said, "it doesn't matter where you come from" to "regardless of how they came" to "they'll [GOP] never be satisfied...bigger fence..build a moat...put alligators in the moat...they'll never be satisfied."

...this... immediately following another call for civility.   He might has well have been buried under the floor of a saloon, as evidently, he couldn't even hear himself speak.  There is was -- begging for the issue not be made into a political fodder, imploring restraint when it comes to making rhetorical, ideological colorful sideshows -- and then he turned around acting as if the carnival was in town...poking fun at the fat lady with an elephant for a head.  but more on the coming insurrection beginning with immigration later -- probably showing up sometime before sundown, tomorrow.

I plum there got myself ambushed before the sun done der come up with Critchley's cowboy connection.  RR has to be rolling in hysterics by now, somewhere up there... in the wild blue yonder.   And before you think I am stuck on roy rogers please scratch roy, substitute ron, as in the great ronnie reagan.  One day in office and that cowboy had America's villains hiding in dem-dare-hills, coughing up hostages, and running scared. Without even pulling the trigger, that's how real cowboys do it.

Make it a Good Day, G

but really, who's watching who?  what is the press good for?  unbiased journalism?  where? Don't answer.  rhetorical questions from a cowgirl, indeed.  The trail of hypocrisy runs wide and wild:  A Bush war with troops being killed, bad  --  but Obama gets a pass -- what? is that under some newfangled "the good war" methodology?  Bush high gas prices, bad -- under Obama, what price gouging?   Bush keeping Gitmo open, bad -- Obama, what Gitmo?  Bush immigration reform without democrat support, bad -- Obama, even with carrying the majority in both houses  for two whole years and perfectly able to get it done at ANY time,  didn't get it done...Response:  some version of no comprende.  fascinating.
