It's a Day to Be Unglued Thing

Dear America,

UNGLUED.

We are all unglued now.

From her opening thought -- on loan from Justice William O. Douglas, we get it:

"As nightfall does not come all at once, neither does oppression.  In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged.  And it is in such a twilight that we all must be most aware of change is in the air -- however slight -- lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness."

and you say, so...

So, upon this premise, we promptly received eleven chapters, narrowing the views of virtually ten steps into the dark abyss after reminding us of a few thoughts from the founders -- you know, establishing the "fragility of democracy" and all.

So, from the first step..."invoke an external and internal threat"..."establish secret prisons"..."develop a paramilitary force"..."surveil  ordinary citizens"..."infiltrate citizens groups"..."arbitrarily detain and release citizens"..."target key individuals"..."restrict the press"..."cast criticism as 'espionage' and dissent as 'treason' "....

to the last --  "subvert the rule of law" -- she maligns and attacks every nook and cranny and brings to light atrocities and abuse of power.   From her first thought to her last, our true liberties are contemplated, questioned, interrogated; while some might even say --  dare I say -- water boarded from top to bottom.

It's all in for Naomi Wolf, as her 2007 expose on an administration goes wild, The End of America.

And all I can think about is, she must be feeling pretty unglued now.

She says,

One reason dictators demand access to such private data is that this scrutiny breaks down citizens' sense of being able to act freely against those in power.  Such intrusions also erode citizens' loyalties to civil and professional groups and redirect their primary loyalty to the state... 

...With these early steps in place, people start to restrict their own activities voluntarily.  They start to think twice about bulk-emailing the 'Impeach George Bush' message, or checking Amnesty International's Website to see what Iraqis with relatives held in U.S. -run prisons are saying, or sending information about the Professor Ward Churchill controversy to a friend. 

In that atmosphere, dissent stifles itself before it can develop.  Surveillance leads to fear, and fear leads to silence: 

And silence is un-American.

Amen to that sister.

we are all sisters and brothers now.

But let's not dwell in a foxhole, moving on to nearly the end of her story, she says:

Bush has used more signing statements than any other president.  The way Bush is using signing statements essentially relegates Congress to an advisory role.  This abuse lets the president choose what laws he wished to enforce or not, overruling Congress and the people.  So Americans are living under laws their representatives never passed.  Signing statements put the president above the law...

[um, not done]

Fascists coming to power in a weakened democracy simply start to ignore those assumed agreements.

On the back cover of "one of the most important books that's been written, certainly in the last decade or two, and perhaps in my lifetime" so says Thom Hartmann, best-selling author and host of The Thom Hartmann Radio Program --

Wes Boyd, co-founder of MoveOn.org says, "Naomi Wolf sounds the alarm for all American patriots.  We must come together as a nation and recommit ourselves to the fundamental American idea that no president, whether Democrat or Republican, will ever be given unchecked power."

No, here's a good one:  "You will be shocked and disturbed by this book.  Most Americans reject outright any comparison of post 9/11 America with the fascism and totalitarianism of Nazi Germany or Pinochet's Chile.  Sadly, the parallels and similarities, what Wolf calls the 'echoes' between those societies and America today, are all too compelling," so says Michael Ratner, Center of Constitutional Rights.

So, what you all say now?

The reflection of the scum on the surface of the Republican party is not only revolting, it makes it nearly impossible to see the real thing.

This despicable GOP is not me.

Of course, this context immediately puts coming unglued in America into a whole 'nother dimension.  There are not words -- nothing -- to explain the slanderous intent and vile behavior of the republican establishment and the lengths they went to to destroy, annihilate, the Tea Party and the candidate, Chris McDaniel.  We can only hope at this point that The Establishment's fate might just be sealed -- super glued, perhaps -- and it's called winning the battle only to lose the war.

By all accounts -- if being totally honest and truthful with thy self --  "the Tea Party" just consists of people like Naomi Wolf, Wes Boyd, Michael Ratner and me.  [Only said that to make myself laugh, for desperate times call for desperate measures, doncha know.]

What defines unglued is the latest news on our southern border.

And to think, a couple weeks ago, when joking about the high speed rail set up from Central America to America, who knew just how much of that was true!

We missed talking about the ad for escorts.  And just in case you missed it:

“provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven days a week, 365 days a year. … There will be approximately 65,000 [unaccompanied alien children] in total.”

Crazy is the administration who masterminds this kind of chaos, usurping the rule of law while undermining America's security and economic future.

Ah yes, never let a crisis go to waste.

But now, if we are going to talk about getting unglued -- we would be remiss to miss lending any of our tantrum time to the IRS and Benghazi and the dishonorable trade of five terrorists for a "prisoner of war" without Congressional approval.  No matter, baby steps as little old G finds her way back to being the keeper on the day.

Now the mass exodus to freedom in America hit the mainstream just as I was taking a mass hiatus from civilization to entertain family, to celebrate my girl's graduation, and more or less, to leave the blog high and dry [with no regrets, btw].   But looking back, oh to be in two places at the same time.

And boom.
That's just it.

We can't be in two places in principle at the same time, unless of course, the two principles are one in the same --  for the same thing goes as the same thing goes, republican or democrat, no matter what.

The thing is, today, in America, we seem to have lost our ability to give ourselves our own checks and balances.  It's  not just about our representatives anymore; it's about each and every one of us to check ourselves at the door, on the border, on the prairie, in the boardroom, in chaos, in our living rooms, on call, on the campaign trail -- whether in the Oval Office, the halls of Congress, our own backyard, or not.  Are we asking ourselves the tough questions; is our response the same when faced within our own party affiliation?  Community?  Are we in integrity and fully aligned with our word, with our actions, with our opinion, with our response, come our side or another?

Everywhere and often, check.

Check and double check.

Got glue?
Check.

Feel the balance.

While this administration shows a certain restraint when using Executive Orders to affect change and fundamental transformation (so far, roughly administering the same number as Bushie), using more informal "executive actions" through policy changes seems to be the way to circumvent the unfair attention and scrutiny (because he's black) (yeah, right).

Policy changes are what a community organizer does best.
Social Justice, unconscionable energy policy, redistribution of wealth,  marginalizing the strength of our military and ability to defend our borders and align with democracies worldwide -- whether by the slow, unsuspecting nudge or by the boot to the neck or in a response to a crisis, the end justifies the means...  and when we say the end, we mean, the end. 

It's a President Drowning in Deceit Thing

Dear America,

"All of us need to stop focusing on the lobbyists, and the bloggers, and the talking heads on radio, and the professional activists who profit from conflict and focus on what the majority of Americans sent us here to do..."

this from the president just a few weeks ago, as the government 'slowdown' was crafted to threaten the life and limb of one and all.

and yet what did he just do?

He blogged.

Care of the Huffington Post, here, the prestige of the office of the president has been reduced to blogger-in-chief [perhaps a first as president, but considering how much he loves using social media while organizing for America... see one on Rev. Jeremiah Wright and another on FISA jurisdiction/legislation/authority...this last minute action, day before a congressional vote, shouldn't come as a surprise.  If of the mental capacity to read every word without yacking, they all make for a great propaganda three way.]

It's a presidency -- a president -- compounded by contradictions, drowning in deceit [see also, Benghazi Cover-up, IRS Cover-up, Fast and Furious Cover-up...or another direction, the Global Warming scam now entering into American regulations by Executive Order].

But speaking of voting, it's mums the word on Obamacare while stumping for Terry McAuliffe in Virginia. [oooh, see also McAuliffe cover-up]

Not one word from the president on his signature,  magnificent, historic takeover of one-sixth of the nation's economy.  Not one word.

He did say this:

"You’ve seen an extreme faction of the Republican Party that has shown again and again and again that they’re willing to hijack the entire party and the country and the economy and grind progress to an absolute halt if they don’t get 100 percent of what they want,” Obama told a crowd of 1,600 in a high school gymnasium.

So funny, considering reality proves time and time again that it is the Democratic party IN office as the party who refuses to negotiate  and "holding the American people hostage" ----- not to mention, appearing extremely lacking of civility in political discourse, using phrases like "extreme faction...hijack the entire party..." c'mon!   And for more on that, go here.

It's all the Tea Party's fault.
Really?
The one and only group who is looking out for the INDIVIDUAL, for real?  This is the only "faction" interested in fighting "the man", the establishment, albeit in an organized, highly civil, arguing upon the merits on the sanctity of freedom and independence for all, fashion.  And it's The Tea who are evil?

Ooooh which reminds me of something I read somewhere, and something being totally unrelated to a political party or ideology:

Oh you got that right.  Can you say Mama Bear and Obamacare don't mix?



But let's refresh the page for the moment...

Not one republican voted for Obamacare.

Republicans were shut out of negotiations at every turn, and the Democratic majority passed Obamacare Christmas Eve, 2009 [hence, the birth of the Tea Party].  If you clicked into that link, you would also see the Debt Ceiling was voted on, too.  It was raised from 12.1 Trillion to 12.4 Trillion.   Hilarious, right?   And yes, Virginia, there is absolutely no connection to the increase of the debt limit with actual debt...doesn't add so much as one penny.


Obamacare is the tangible hot mess that is the fault of the Democratic party in its entirety because THEY ARE "willing to hijack the entire party and the country and the economy and grind progress to an absolute halt if they don’t get 100 percent of what they want."  Because that is precisely what THEY DID.

[Remember -- when this began -- 85% of us were more or less happy with our health care.]

THEY KNOW, eventually, the individual market, the many free market insurance companies, and the myriad of health care options, in general, will all go away in the economic chaos created where there was none, even if that looks like the only enrollment increases will be that in Medicaid and the "un-insured" using emergency rooms like drive-thru's. 

THEY KNOW, eventually, all we will have left is the federal government taking over America's health care industry entirely, by way of a single payer system.   Ta da!  

The END will justify the means. 
It's just the same verse same as the first when dealing with progressive operatives.

Oh America, we are in the valley of death; doom and gloom runs deep.

It's a Freedom to Decide for Ourselves Thing

Dear America,

we're talking about freedom this week -- and a whole lot of it.


we've been pre-occupied [badump ba] by the idea of freedom living in a more perfect world as being played out by the Occupy Wall Street protestors...but how about we swing to the other side to record what's going on from the right.

so let's talk about it --
how about the left (along with the GOP establishment, no less) give us a little freedom to decide our own candidate, for mitt's sake.   back off; this is not about you.

didn't the elections of 2010 say enough?

What is funny is listening to the continuing refrain -- oh he's so smooth, such a great debater; he's so cool, calm and collected [ew, where have we heard that before?]; while he's so experienced, you know, like he's been a real governor and everything;  and hey, Chris Christie has stepped up to 'like' him...that's gotta say something... and 9-9-9, what in tar hill is that all about?  is he nuts?...that'ull never work.   so what's the big &%#ing deal if a couple of his own advisers helped out with writing Obombneycare?

Happy Wednesday ya'll -- the latest poll hitting the deny'ers upside the head this morning is showing Herman Cain leading with 30%, Romney at 22% and the rest of the pack trailing behind...

unveiling the immediate reality -- Cain is up by 78% over Romney's twenty-two.

The thing is, if Romney gets the nomination, it will not be without a whole lot of kicking and screaming.

Until then -- we, the people, are free to make up our own freeken mind!

Chuck Schumer is out to bury the Tea Party -- illustrating the way the liberal mind works these days; now that Barack Obama is president, the organizer-in-chief has made it possible to implement Alinsky's Rules for Radicals from the inside out, as planned all along.  While he doesn't have to do a thing; all he needs to do is say the word, show them the way, and his party's talking heads will do the rest, allowing the president to sit back, smelling like a rose, politically unscathed.

For some reason, the Tea Party is believed to be such a major threat -- whether it is the jobs bill or relating to the upcoming 2012 election -- Chuckie and the DNC have developed a plan for an all out attack.  Using graphs, economic projections, dropping names of economic guys in for good measure, the schumester makes his case.

And today, everyone and their mother seems to be carrying the story -- this from Roll Call.  this from HuffPost. this from The Daily Caller.  this from Politico.

The narrative of the power elite and the establishment both left and right, is that the Tea Party is sooooooo 2010; the latest vibe mounting -- world-wide even --  as in the all for one and one for all @Occupy-any-city-USA, entirely aimed at orchestrating a total reversal of fortune -- is where it's at.

And just in case you need more proof, TIME Magazine adds another dimension, something along the lines of this: tea party people, more or less, suck  -- while the occupiers are all that.  For a decent breakdown of the numbers, here ya go.

Which you know, if the prevailing belief among the yucky yucks and the masses is that the Tea Party is out and Occupy is in, then why all the fuss, Chuck?  You must have had your people spend hours throwing that "tea party economics" memo together; as it turns out, what a waste of time, right?  It only leads me to the believe there is still something in 'the Tea' that you are deathly afraid of...but maybe that's just me.

Besides blaming the Tea Party  for the economic Armageddon going on in Washington, he tries to claim this super-power overrides real Senate control.  This just in:

"We are going to be labeling tea party economics. Tea party double-dip recession. Tea party gridlock. We think that’s going to have a real effect. So in a sense, it’s a sword and a shield. The sword is our effort to do something on jobs. The shield is pointing out what’s keeping us from moving forward.”

A reporter asked Schumer why voters were supposed to blame Republicans for economic outcomes when Democrats control the White House and the Senate. “We don’t control the Senate,” Schumer shot back. “You write that and it’s false.”

So we have ridicule -- and all-round-bashing -- pitting the essential liberty of one group against another -- the casting of one agenda as nearly demonic, while calling the other, angels -- and basically, downshifting to a make-believe underworld to remedy the immediate political climate (here's lookin' at you, Schume, who can't seem to control his own -- if you dems really really wanted it, that jobs bill was as good as gold and in the bag -- don't you think we the people have been Lied to Enough Already, pul-leeze) ........

.......But isn't it simply wonderful, freedom of speech, including all the rhetoric you can spew, even in writing, is totally protected in this country....yes, including my own....

Is it any wonder to any of you why Romney can't seem to muster any more than thirty percent?

In a perfect world, the majority of republicans wouldn't have a thing to do with him; that's what the numbers say.

Getting back to my intentions on the day -- the electorate is free to make up it's own mind; and clearly, the first thing that we must do is shut out the media and talking heads -- for they are of no use to us.

We have the freedom to follow our heart, and our minds, telling us to take the road less traveled.

It may take awhile.

and the best news -- we don't even have to announce it to anybody, let alone let Reuters, Bloomberg, the AP, in on our vibe;

it's kinda like that 'twin thing' --
you know, when you don't even have to speak....you know what each other is thinking, even across the miles, the purple mountains majesty, and not long after turning right at the fruited grain.  We just know.  We feel it.

And about that feeling, on the inside, sensing that self-control and all the freedom in the world to effect change...oh my goodness... now that is a good feeling.  It's like a slice of home, a piece of yourself, that is spirit expressing and bouncing around all over the place.  Talk about freedom running wild.  [maybe the difference is we keep our shirts on]

The current climate tells us that we no longer need to hold a sign * -- we are connected spontaneously and effortlessly at the core. and boy, do we cling something fierce.

This is what the establishment is refusing to recognize.

and I say, let them keep guessing.

It's What Happens When Washington is in the Business of Manufacturing a Crisis After Crisis Thing

Dear America,

now imagine this president operating without a care in the world if whether or not he gets re-elected...

which, hello...will happen if this guy gets...re-elected.


you know what's funny -- the proverbial THEY are enacting a new narrative to call this a Tea Party Victory.

Sorry.  That couldn't be further from the truth (that is, if anyone even cares about the disseminating truth any longer).  To call this a win for the average Tea Party Enthusiast would be a reach, at best -- an abomination of character, at worse.  THIS is NOT what the Tea's had in mind, you can be sure.


The good news on the day happens to be one of mixed blessings:  the first being, we've seen congressmen masquerading as statesmen (going on for years now). With their latest debut, displaying an unconscionable willingness to let politics direct their every move.  IF there was ever a question about that before, we have an answer in the here and day after.

So with this wanton ambivalence to simply doing the right thing leading the way -- resting decision making more on appearances than upon substance... even if that decision leaves America in harm's way, vulnerable to insolvency and a government in rampant overreach -- we, the people, can come away with the real win.

We know what to do (again).

We vote the bums out.

So with that, the Tea Party might just say thanks for the help...to which a Reid, a Pelosi, a McConnell, a Boehner might just respond with -- being totally oblivious to the underlining sarcasm -- sure, no problem, anytime, call me.

SO the president just spoke in the Rose Garden.  It appeared to be just a beautiful afternoon, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, as he stood there at the podium all smug, pleased with his kingdom, no less.

He basically said, now that that's done, now that we have averted a crisis, it is time for the next phase --- beginning with his promise to his base by attacking the rich to make them pay.   He also said that when congress comes back, he shall expect congress to take steps to "do more."

In politico speak, that means...another stimulus, extending tax cuts to the middle class, extending unemployment, patent reform, finishing trade deals that were initiated years ago, and setting up an  Infrastructure Banking system to increase number of loans made available for private companies to rebuild bridges, repair roads, fix sinkholes, and the like.


Surprisingly, he made a stark admission in the middle of his remarks; so hold up, while I go fetch a transcript to pull from it...(cue the elevator music).

here it is:

"That’s part of the reason that people are so frustrated with what’s been going on in this town.  In the last few months, the economy has already had to absorb an earthquake in Japan, the economic headwinds coming from Europe, the Arab Spring and the [rise] in oil prices — all of which have been very challenging for the recovery.  But these are things we couldn’t control.  Our economy didn’t need Washington to come along with a manufactured crisis to make things worse.  That was in our hands."

Like any first step of recovery, Mr. President, admitting the truth becomes the legal tender worth it's weight in gold...however, no telling what inflation will do.

So, call me silly, but this girl would love to know just who, in Washington, do you believe is to blame for the latest spree of innovation,  manufacturing a crisis...

could it be YOU?  what with that carrying on about "not guaranteeing Social Security checks" -- or the administration holding the Armageddon rhetoric to a heightened level, hitting the twenty month peak (kinda like the consumer spending exhibiting it's first decline since September 2009, only, of course, in reverse)? While even though the so-called "debt ceiling" is as a matter of record, MANUFACTURED, out of thin by the masterminds of government in the first place -- hard to tell when this factory opened for business.


Oh, oh, I get it...because the Tea Party Freshmen considered themselves accountable, as the keepers of the coffers (OF THE PEOPLE'S MONEY) you're inclined to point there -- while to you...all this idiotic finagling over dollars and cents, balanced budgets and cuts... to spend, or not to spend, that is the question -- was simply pure sideshow.

They annoyed you, didn't they? 
c'mon, you can tell me...
oh to be a pesky fly on your arm over the next few days.

Well consider this day, a time when you can dot your I's and enjoy passage of another monumental travesty of our nation's limited government; but also know, that the T's -- the true T's -- are crossed.

This manufacturing of a crisis, the MO of choice for you, and right out of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, is now documented for all of history.  Your mom must be so proud.

Oh, and by the way -- whatever it is we accomplished today in Washington, the MARKET seems not too pleased.   It is dropping as we speak -- down a couple hundred points.  

It's a Status Quo is So Gay Thing

Dear America,

it's funny, one of the first stories I read this morning was all about fourteen [female] Senators having sent a letter to the King of Saudi Arabia begging for him to change -- pleading to his higher self to allow women to drive.

Among the gang-ette of fourteen... both of my California Senators!  Isn't that just fabulous.  Now yeah, sure, we can multi-task; there is really no shame in spreading ourselves around for the love of country and all.  But seriously, right now?  When in fact our Senate cannot even gather the troops long enough to vote on major life changing financial legislation, with Harry Reid refusing to bring Cut Cup and Balance even to the table...this is how my Senators keep busy?

Sure we are global now -- and this campaign featured through an organization simply known as Change.org -- is all about building respect for women all around the globe under an array of good causes; but don't you think we have enough, right here at home, to work on?

Not to mention, I would think getting a driver's license, ranked  by importance and pinned to the front of any given refrigerator at the home of a the typical Saudi woman, comes after treating women like real human beings.  Like giving them certain unalienable rights like each and every American woman...

All women under Sharia Law have to be escorted by a man everywhere they go; they can't even speak to a man that is not their husband in public; they can't even decide what to wear in the morning without being forced to cover it all up. They can't eat with men in restaurants; they have no decision making authority in the home; they can't even CHANGE their religion without meeting up with certain death.  Their genitals might even be brutally mutilated, okay...

But let's get them a driver's license.

While this is the letter my two Senators from California just had to place their Jane Hancock; allowing women to drive in Saudi Arabia gets tossed into the Things to Do Today of team Boxer & Feinstein, and twelve others, ranking the Debt Ceiling Resolution, Balanced Budget, Cutting Spending, Unemployment, Obscene Growth of the Federal Government to come happily ever after.  Way to show your priorities, ladies.  [fyi, the lone republican Senator, was Susan Collins, of Maine]

I really didn't set out to discount a good deed of fellow American women this morning; standing up to oppression, whether large or small, all add up and make a difference.  We have seen the small step for man, big step mankind, become something bigger than life time and time again.

To pick at that small step even more, very often, these baby steps require a steadfast, solid, unwavering, fortified in every way, spine before that big toe even makes a move, so much as a wiggle.  We know that sometimes, what started out as the will of maybe 150,000 women protesting -- growing to become the grassroots movement back behind the efforts of Change.org's involvement -- becomes a full on platform for real change to occur.  Once it gains a foothold, natural momentum has the support to fundamentally transform reality.

This is precisely why the Debt Ceiling/Cut, Cap and Balance Debate seems so inane; the spine is missing.

Neither side is showing any Chutzpah  -- which is ironic, considering we are operating under the Audacity of Hope president, and after making a very convincing argument through the likes of Jay Carney, administration spokesman/poster boy of the moment, when addressing the press, saying, "We have shown a lot of leg on what we were proposing."

While what we get from the left is Harry Reid...business as usual and whining about the Tea Party...stopping just short of calling John Boehner a unick when expressing his concern, noting that the republican party is "being driven by the radical right-wing in tune with the tea party...We should not let these extremists dictate the outcome of this debate....it is time for ideological extremism to end... break away from those extremists who seem to be running  the Republican party in Washington.”

Basically, what Harry met Nancy want, is a compromise built solidly on more of the same: an illegitimate growth of an overzealous government without checks, balances, scruples, principles... let alone, a limit.

So what are we left with?

Honestly, just how are we still standing up?

...when the Left Leg is simply begging for us to continue under Status Quo -- stumbling along on a limp that sees no end... compromising upon so much... and redistributing every bloody thing... until we are left powerless, broken, and in ruin; with the Right Leg bending and tweaking and twitching uncontrollably, to the extent of going utterly numb.

Back bone?  Spine?  It's something that masterfully sits above the legs; and when turned into an admirable quality, it is something rarely associated with compromise --- but of pure, unadulterated, honorable, resolve.  Until such time we have statesmen (or WOMEN!) showing one, we, the people, will suffer.

Sure, Reagan bended a wee bit back in 1982; a closer look at the details would reassure the average patriot he compromised on a policy to stand firm on a principle. When searching for more on the bigger picture then, and now, I stumbled upon a fairly decent article on Reagan's "compromising" spirit here.  Reagan transformed taxation in this country beginning with a few small steps, eliminating loopholes, that in the short term amounted to tax increases, in order to change everything.  Can you just imagine still operating with the top income tax bracket at 70%?  Think about it.

"Right wing extremists" are screaming loud and clear DO NOT COMPROMISE on this now.  "WE the People" are lighting up the congressional switchboards, overloading websites, taking it to the airwaves and bloggers large and small, united with the same cause; and we number in the MILLIONS!  The spine of the right wing sweeps long and wide, spanning from sea to shining sea.

This has to be the time when America rejoins with her spine -- for we are faced with 60 trillion dollars in unfunded entitlement liabilities, while under the weight of an insurmountable 14.4 Trillion dollars in debt, when we continue to spend WAY more than we take in and running 1.5 trillion dollar deficits, when government by the numbers looks absolutely insane!  Go here for more on that...leading you, on fingertips, to The Heritage Foundation.

Call us what you want, Harry, but Status Quo is so gay.  [that is just piggy backing on something like this.]

happy 1-11-11 day


so, in the beginning, our founders gathered together to make a republic, not a democracy, and follow the path of Nature's Law invoked and prescribed by the leading thinkers of the day, past and present, to create a more perfect union based entirely upon the Rule of Law, not man.

Why was "man" out of the equation, we wonder?  Because "man" was, and is, and forever more, imperfect; man is sometimes-- dare I say, many times -- wrong.


Or worse, sometimes man is evil.


Then again, sometimes man is just plum stupid... greedy, inconsiderate, self-serving, and rude...or man can be just plain bad...while we're at it, man is, quite often I might add, simply thoughtless,  soul-less and heartless... and if we go down that road, let's just narrow it down to Dante's Seven Deadly Sins, or is it God's -- either way, we all know what they are, right ...

And if man doesn't ever fall in the "really bad" category,  he is certainly deceptive, manipulative, and egotistical whenever it serves him best, and especially when it is a matter of gaining and controlling the general public opinion, persuasion, or sway.

According to W. Cleon Skousen, as an individual, John Adams was not very popular -- but what the people saw in Adams, was a man they could trust, without any further thought, doubt, or concern.  It was Adams who wrote this little tidbit, some time following his presidency:

"I do not curse the day when I engaged in public affairs...I cannot repent any thing I ever did conscientiously and from a sense of duty.  I never engaged in public affairs for my own interest, pleasure, envy, jealousy, avarice, or ambition, or even the desire of fame.  IF any of these had been my motive, my conduct would have been very different.  In every considerable transaction of my public life, I have invariably acted according to my best judgment, and I can look up to God for the sincerity of my intentions."

And it was Adams, who often reminded his fellow statesmen, this:

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

And coming from another man and founder, Samuel Adams, he wrote:

"The sum of all is, if we would most truly  enjoy the gift of Heaven, let us become a virtuous people; then shall we both deserve and enjoy it.  While, on the other hand, if we are universally vicious and debauched in our manners, though the form of our Constitution carries the face of the most exalted freedom, we shall in reality be the most abject slaves..."

"But neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.  He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries the most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man."

And here's one more, from James Madison:

"If man were angels, no government would be necessary.  If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary."

Creating a nation that would encourage and develop civic virtue, in hopes of continually bestowing upon the public a flood of  upstanding political leaders, began with the moral and civic duty to create a good people from the start; sound principles, values, and virtues was not political lip-service, it was true blue American public service, from the heart, from the right place, beginning with man's first intention.

Our problems of the day, 

streaming live and in a chorus of continuous, voracious debate, 

centering upon the political discourse of the moment, 

throwing barbs and jabs at individuals 

(people like Palin, Bachman, Limbaugh, Beck...) -- 

even entire groups of people (republicans, tea party, conservatives..) -- 

through outright character assassination and  rabid vitriol  -- 

taking turns taking pot shots --

pow, pow, pow pow pow

and simply showering the mainstream media with untruths 

and linking something so unthinkable 

to the entire right side of the political spectrum 

is reprehensible,

disgusting

and 

wrong.

That is man, acting at his worst, all the way around.

And now, to have politicians, wondering how they will continue to serve the public safely, heighten the debate on gun control, or even have the audacity, at a time when we are broke, to give a second thought to increasing the budget for congressional security -- and to top it off, act as if the rhetoric has always been one-sided, as if the Pelosi's, Reid's, Weiner's or Grayson's are angels...even Obama himself has been hopped up on using rhetoric for political gains.  Are you kidding me?

And I guess MSNBC only spins a weave of proverbs and grace.

Please don't misconstrue -- it is essential, for everyone's well being, to feel free to live and work and interact in a safe, secure environment.  No question.  Congress is no exception to the rule, no doubt about it.

The thing is, if you really think about it, what happened last Saturday could happen again tomorrow; there is nothing keeping something like that from happening every day of the week actually from here on out, from here to kingdom come.

The only thing that truly keeps that from happening, is living in a country that not only encourages our people to be of kind heart, to take care of one another, to honor our mother and father, and treat our neighbors as ourselves, but one that TEACHES it, RESPECTS it, and above all, EMBODIES it through and through;  the founders gave us principles and values to follow for a reason, for they recognized the first truth about man and built an entire nation from it, respective of the very imperfect nature of the beast that we are.

Guns don't kill people; people kill people.

A civil, compassionate, honorable society is made in America only by creating, and teaching, to be of good nature, to be good people; the duty begins at first breath, and ends at our last, for each and every one of us who share this nation, let alone the entire world.

Given that "the shooter" was a registered Independent, I am most certain, his horrific actions, do not speak of the nature of the entire body of independents.

But wonder how one person can make a difference no more -- for isn't  it painfully obvious, and tragically true, in this moment; how an unconscionable act, by one person no less, can not only wreak havoc and destroy the lives of 20 innocent people, but also trigger an endless supply of careless, knee-jerk responses that in turn discredit friends, neighbors, countrymen and women of  good heart -- all of us who lean just right of center who can feel it, one by one.  throw a little more salt on our wounds why don't you.

All Americans --  feel real emotional pain -- and hold a heavy, heavy heart -- with what happened last Saturday; what happened does not usually happen, for by and large, we try to be of sound mind and body and act accordingly.

Tragically, the only person we can point to, is to the one crazy person who did it, Jared; who, for all intents and purposes, hindsight being what it is, showed all the signs he needed a little help; at twenty-two, Jared he is a man, who knowingly set out, in public, with a semi-automatic weapon to do harm -- and as we know now, he intended to do harm upon the life of Gabrielle Giffords and anyone else who got in his way -- and believed, he, himself, would not live to deal with the aftermath.  He said his good-byes.

Look, one bad apple should not spoil it for the whole bunch, that's all I'm saying right now; this kind of regulation and continuous taking away of the freedoms and civil liberties of a good people is not the answer; for then, Sam Adams would be absolutely right on target in a people becoming 'abject slaves.'

Talk about a moving target, we seem to be missing the point; good people in, good people out.  wax on, wax off.  it is a tedious drill, but over time, it truly works.

Before I close, a few noteworthy individuals seem to stand out, reacting with eloquence and grace and compassion is Governor Jan Brewer; if you were able to catch her State of the State address you know what I am talking about -- of course, it wasn't a S of S address at all...understandably, that will be saved for another day.  Her remarks were beautiful, thoughtful, unwavering in her commitment to hold the candle of fearless leader, even after being thrust into a state of utter devastation and loss.

Upon Gov. Brewer's lead, the entire legislative body gave a standing ovation to Daniel Hernandez, an intern of only one week for Giffords local congressional offices, who selflessly acted without thinking, and quickly came to her aid in the seconds after being struck by gunfire; he held her up, applied pressure to her wound, and spoke to her,  calmly encouraging her to hold on while awaiting paramedics; as Gov. Brewer pointed out, he probably saved her life, without thinking of his own...perhaps another Adams in our midst.

America, in actions and in our words, let us do no harm -- today and always.

Dear America,

So he's half way round the world and he's still messing with the press.

Not Obama; but the White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, who was in his usual meltdown posture having been trumped by the self-appointed king of correspondents in India -- he tried to pull rank on Gibbs, by disallowing "the White House 8" from entering the meeting room, with Gibbs threatening to pull Obama out of the meetings if the guy didn't back down (right, but it looked good), bringing it to crescendo of words and grimaces.

I just find it amusing -- but then I'm easy these days, nearly everything makes me laugh in a punch drunk sort of way, as my life is so full of 'woe is me's' --  I can just about find humor and cling to anything that moves, thinks, breathes, or is remotely disguised as funny in a heart beat.


Similar to my Sunday morning experience when I caught a bit of Meet the Press with David Gregory; right off the bat he was interviewing Jim DeMint, Gentleman and Senator from South Carolina, grilling him about the Tea Party -- and it came to me; the difference between the right and the left with regard to reading the tea leaves is a matter of whether the teacup is half empty or half full.

Gregory is so ready to throw hot water all over DeMint, beginning with taking the liberal stance asking something like this:  so like, is the Tea Party, like, controlling the republican party, or something?

What gives?  Talking to DeMint like they were all just a bunch of stupid puppets...

What could he say to that, right?

"Hardly" -- with a chuckle -- is how.  While I'm thinking to myself, what a stupid question.

The Left really doesn't understand the Tea Party Phenomenon at all.  They just don't get it.

Since the beginning, after constant degradation of the Tea people as "astroturf," "racists," "extremists," or "tea baggers" --  or at best, passing the entire movement off as having no credibility, validity, or future, dating back to the good old days when it began to take root and spread across the nation, like an annoying weed that keeps popping  up in between the bricks  -- our press has basically joined in and vilified the Tea Party with abandon.  Free, fair, unbiased press -- poppycock!

Let's just go into the second question, did the Tea Party cost the GOP the Senate?

"that is a very silly thing to say, David," with a fair amount of giggles added on for good measure.

Seriously, that's what DeMint said; moving right on in to remind dear Davey boy, and the rest of us watching the early morning stand up but sitting down routine, the real truth; the GOP was nearly DOA just two years ago.  David, did you get hit on the head recently?  What's with the short term memory loss?  Hello.

Yes, David, there is a Santa Clause, and it's name is "Santa T" to the GOP -- the stocking is half full here, if you haven't noticed -- the Tea Party saved the GOP from a well deserving death... given just how far this country has fallen away from our founding principles, our limited government, and our loyalty to the common man, and the party emboldened to protect it.

The GOP is supposed to be the actual party respective of this very element, fortified in understanding and ranking, in taking our rightful place; for just who sits on the seniority list trumping every branch of government?


The INDIVIDUAL.

The left brain think tanks and liberal journalists should have seen this coming; they should have been smart enough to figure this one out long ago, given our history (but heck, I guess it's only their nature, they can't help it, they are blinded by their own enlightenment, and bent on progressing, pressing forward, no matter what cost).

Instead of embracing the Tea Party, and celebrating the grassroots movement founded simply upon the idea that America has been "TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY"  -- one that embodies a feeling all Americans could readily share and support, I mean, who likes taxes? They -- the press -- moved in by taking the position of opposition, trying to show them in a bad light, attempting to highlight the ridicule and amplify an argument of class warfare versus simply joining in, in a spirit of one for all and all for one.

The TEA Party is for all Americans -- left or right, black, white or brown, young and old, for ALL, whether you accept it for yourself as true, or not.

No, the press decided they would rather be a wedge, a cog in the wheel, a manufacturer of untruths creating an atmosphere that only heightened a sharpened civil divide.  The press negatively impacted the mindset of America at the Tea Party's first blush -- and they know it; and unbelievably, they are still doing it!

DeMint just had to laugh, though...that's a good one, David, ha ha ha...

The Tea Party is doing backstrokes; we've been whopping it up, splashing around, and having a good old time over the course of the last several days.  The Tea Cup is half full and we are swimming in it -- and sticks and stones might break our bones but words will never hurt us. nana na na nana 

The Left can make fun of the Tea all they want; but the best thing the press could do now is join us -- as to go against the founding principles of this great nation, to run counter to the high tide of enthusiasm in our crystal clear Constitution and Declaration of Independence endowed by our forefathers, is a stand defiant, going rogue, almost villainous, maybe even criminal; for when it comes to protecting the rights and liberties for which we stand -- WE, as in America -- compromise on nothing.

What is happening within our very own government is a high crime -- one of the highest kind; for it is a crime against country, our faith, and our future.

America is not a well worn slogan just waiting for a new image; our fundamentals have not changed.

What the Tea has refreshed in us is a link to our past, an understanding of where we have been, freely giving way to an expression of what we want in our future.  The tea leaves have spoken to a vast majority of us, whether or not the press is with us, or not.  We are not afraid and we know what we must do to save ourselves, our children, and most of all, America, as a whole, each and every one of us, as individuals, who are lucky enough to call her home.

There is simply no logical reason for the out of control taxation --  the answer, our only protection, comes by way of the people's representation.  What we realize, now, is that we were all clinging to the wrong things, for the wrong reasons, and without thinking.  We were careless with our liberty; but make no mistake, it won't happen again (another reason the press should hop on board).

We are America -- and by definition, it stands for freedom in every which way to Sunday -- even to Sunday's Meet the Press, after church, of course.  The Free Press should be lapping it up, the Tea, along with all the rest of us who know better these days -- for the Tea is akin to our authentic selves.

I am just now getting into a new book, by William Wilberforce, an Englishman from a couple of hundred years ago.  We'll get more into him, and the book itself, later, no doubt -- I don't want to spoil it and give away the name quite yet yet.  But one of his earliest realizations goes like this:

"It makes no sense to take the name of Christian and not cling to Christ.  Jesus is not some magic charm to wear like a piece of jewelry we think will give us good luck. He is Lord.  His name is to be written on our hearts in such a powerful way that it creates within us a profound experience of His peace and a heart that is filled with His praise."

The thing is, it makes no sense to take the name of American and not cling to Her like there is no tomorrow, especially right now.  We have reason and good sense telling us to hold onto Her -- for we are witness to life without authentically living within the boundaries of her kindnesses and offerings for far too long.

THIS is what happens when we abuse America's good graces, when we run amuck as human beings taking for granted everything under the sun.

The Left seems bent on believing it is some kind of backwards thinking; while the press continues to grant them some kind of weird higher authority through mass producing and elevating their liberal definition of America for all who will listen.  What they both chose to ignore, or discredit, is the groundswell building underneath their feet -- the House is only part and parcel of the foundation being laid; it is simply a sign we are getting our groove back, as Americans. 

The Tea Party did not cost the GOP the Senate; it gave them a taste for success to spill over into it; the Tea Party does not "control" the GOP,  "hardly" -- it speaks on behalf of we the people  -- and by the looks of things so far, only the GOP has taken a sip, sitting there waiting patiently now for the cream to come around.

...cream... in the tea, is an English thing, you know...

Only we, the people, are at the discretion to pass it on -- while, as luck should have it, the people give way to an even Higher Authority for direction (at least in their heart of hearts, time will tell if we will choose to improve in this area, or not).

"Don't consult with anybody in killing the Americans," Anwar, the Yemeni Cleric, said. "Fighting the devil doesn't require consultation or prayers seeking divine guidance. They are the party of the devils," he added. It is "either us or them."  I think it was Sunday, the post American turned Islamic leader, Anwar said this, yeah yeah, it was Sunday, or does that mean it was Monday, in Yemen?  Does it really  matter?

I've been stuck on the Mamas and Papas, bad; perhaps its subliminal, for I haven't chatted it up with my own in awhile; or maybe its just plum a coincidence, by accident, no rhyme or reason.

Meet the Press was amusing yesterday; oh how we love to hear the journalists banter about making heads or tails out of the life and times of the day.

The left side is still poking fun at the Tea Party enthusiasts and candidates, alike; how did Rachel, as in Maddow, put it, that basically, we all know...blah blah blah...that the Tea Party is way outside the mainstream...you know, so fringe element and all...just how could anyone take them seriously.  Or something like that.     

Seriously?

Is that the best that you've got, Rachel, still?

And then there was David Brooks, NY Times, who may have tried to sound reasonable but ending up saying basically, "no one is willing to go by way of England yet;" almost as if he were tempting -- and maybe daring -- to put the Tea Party where their mouth is.

Indeed.  No Problem.

As Sarah recently gravely pointed out, if the republicans don't really get it -- if they mess this up again -- then they will find themselves on a bridge to nowhere, too...or something like that.

What Rachel doesn't understand, is now that there is a Tea Party, what the rest of us only wish we could say, only wish we could do, is being said and done; while what Rachel overlooks is the very reality of what this day before us really brings -- and that is a permanent awakening and a reckoning of our wayward, irresponsible ways; what Rachel fails to see, is that the Tea Party is just the tip of the iceberg --

you who...oh Rachel...we're down here...underwater (oh yeah, yes indeed, double your pleasure, twice the pun).

Anyone who does not recognize the Tea Party for what it really is, is sadly mistaken, misguided, having totally misunderstood the very nature of the beast.  For we the people are alive!  We are awake!  And we want our country back -- under limited government, less taxation, not just for today, because we are "so angwy" but for everyday from here on out. While, it's not for white folk, it's for all folks -- equally, fairly, in a one for all and all for one kind of way.

What should be the real wake up call for The Left (whether journalists, elitists, mother naturists or whatever-ists) is certainly not the actions of a few Tea Party revolutionists -- but the actual, current wave of austerity raging and rioting in their favorite playground -- in Europe.

How did Cameron put it, "we're not doing this because we want to, we're doing it because we have to!"  Oh bloody hell, and bullocks to the rest of you, who don't get it...

well when you put it like that, cheery-oh then...

France burning as we speak, Greece already gone, with Germany just trying to control the element of wrongful immigration policy to boot, as in Das Boot...okay, that might be a wee bit too strong an image, I take it back, but only everything after das.

What most Americans are realizing, is that the austerity measures are coming and must come, whether the left wants it, or not; our sustainability factor is simply no longer alive and well, for the integrity of our very foundation has been completely damaged.

What we see in the Tea Party candidate, is someone willing to go to Washington to make the tough calls, to hit the delete button, to repeal most things Washington has done TO us for the last hundred years; exemplifying exactly what our founders feared.

Oh, and we are not afraid, Mr. Barack "because we are not hard wired to think clearly when we're scared" Obama -- we are not sceward and vewy vewy afwaid like little babies crying foul and whining for our mama and papa; hell no. 

We are simply voicing the fears that only our founders knew already -- they could see this time coming from a mile away, from a century or two away.  Nobody here is surprised or fearful of what we must do -- we feel it way down deep, in the cold waters of austerity and living well within our boundaries, that only living within our means, can do.

We're not really afraid at all, Mr. President, we're just shivering;
but more important, we know that help is on the way; and better still, we know we can get through this, and be even better than we were before -- for we have every faith in the world that we can, just as we have always done it, once we put our hearts and minds together for a common good.

We don't care, really, if it takes a retired witch, warlock, or a crazy person, we seek a fundamental transformation of the highest kind; you leftists should be familiar with that, no?   And, my dear Rachel, there may not be eight days in a week, but the reality is, we are eight days away from this kind of moment...can you feel me now?

Sixty percent of this country believes, way down deep in the annals of our soul, that we are currently on track for a raging disaster -- we feel it like there is something in the air, we smell it like danger is looming ever closer, we know it by what our forefathers and mothers taught us -- and by golly, we're just not going to accept it as our destiny any longer, we're not going to lay down and take it no more, no more.

Sure Monday may have come in with a song this morning, but it will leave us with no guarantee for the night that will surely come; Rachel may be dumbfounded -- but the I's and the T's, all together, have it right this time; we, the people, are prepared to do whatever it takes to turn this ship around.  Mr. Brooks, we are, complete with the good Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, ready to go by way of England, just you wait... and oh... for all the irony in that little turn about is fair play.

And we will;
no matter how many election cycles it will take;
while the only time we will look back, will be for all those times we need to tell our children the truth, and teach them the principles that will withstand the feeble and corrupt law of man, and return to the Rule of Law for good, for all, for evermore, and without falter.

Dear America,

Congress has an 11% approval rating.  Lowest ever. Ever.

hummmm wonder what's going on here...

Oh but, as the President made very clear, in his taped appearance using his handy dandy teleprompter, addressing his flock at the Netroots Nation convention, basically a body of left wing journalists, media, and bloggers who met in Vegas last weekend, he said this to appease the crowd:

"[for many Americans] change hasn't come fast enough,

ahh, hasn't come fast enough for me either."

I guess, being under the impression that he was addressing the 11% who still approve of his policies, he needed to prove he was far from done; of course for the rest of us -- the 89% who despise everything this administration, via this congress with the honor of the lowest approval rating ever -- we are left with merely hope...that things will change soon.

And I'm disheartened really, for a president making such a statement addressing a fringe group -- who for all intents and purposes, was created only about five years ago in order to elevate the protest against the previous administration and help boot them out -- like, you know, sort of like coming together at the grassroots, to affect change on the political horizon, for the nation's future is at stake, sort of thing.  It would be almost as bad as a sitting president to lounge with the ladies of The View -- oh wait, that is happening tomorrow.

hmmm but this political activism, starting at the grassroots, makes me think of what else has spawned simply from the urge to change Washington across America?  Tea, anyone?

The Tea Party has thousands rally, millions actually, when you put us all together; and as grassroots (or astrotturf, according to nancy) that it may be, it doesn't matter if we gather together, or not.  For inside the typical tea party American, is a root belief -- one that doesn't sit on the fringe, but is fully and proudly embodied one and ALL.


Call the Tea Party whatever you want -- but most of us know who we are and what we are fighting for; it just so happens to be direct opposite of the liberal agenda.

There were 2100 people who attended the Netroots Nation convention -- to listen to Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, President Obama -- with Van Jones  (who left the administration as the Green Czar in the dead of night, under controversy with his ties to the 9/11 Truthers and questionable connections to the Communist party) as the Key Note Speaker.


but here's a taste of what Harry had to say, "oh, we're going to have a public option, it's just a question as to when" -- with hopes to stir the base, even as he grapples with keeping his Senate seat.

and here's Nancy, "When you talk about reducing the deficit and Social Security, you're talking about apples and oranges"  -- added to the kool-aid, we would have a pretty good punch.

and here's Van, "I resigned. I did not want to be the banana peel that the president of the United States slipped on trying to win on health care"  -- what's with all the fruit?

The final speaker was Al Franken, but I will save us all from revisiting that frosting on the fruitcake convention, but it begs me to ask, if these are the best that the left has to offer, what does the right have to worry about?

Netroots is the fringe outlet.  They are the true extremists.

The Tea Party coalitions around the country simply exemplify the majority of Americans who just want our freedom back -- which 54% of all Americans lean, when asked if they are more aligned with Tea or the O, as in administration.

What is fascinating to note, given that this country is made up of 13% of African-Americans, six percent of the total Tea Party membership is black; that doesn't seem to fit in with the liberal narrative of blatant racism within the party.

Allen West, just one of 32 black republicans running for office -- and happily associated with the Tea Party -- makes the astounding observation that (Tea = racists) was all but made up by the media.

As the president himself pokes fun at the Tea Party, calling them "tea baggers" instead,  I would love to have the president meet an audience simply of black republicans.  What would he say?  What questions would they ask? Would they break bread together and drink tea, a beer, or coffee?  How would that go down?

Besides the NAACP conference of last month, we currently have the Urban League, having their annual conference in D.C.; I have long admired the Urban League, for a number of reasons.  Years ago, when I worked downtown, in San Diego, I became familiar with their activities and events in our area, especially in terms of fundraising and community outreach.

Most notably is the level of business acumen and innovation to enhance and grow their mission, beginning with changing the perception of failure in the black community -- always putting their best foot forward, working within the corporate circles, reaching into and finding resolution to local issues with both a heart, and a mind to move forward -- not keep looking back.

I am enlivened this morning, reading the thoughts and level-headedness of the current president, Marc Morial, given the last couple of weeks of racial dialogue, who knew where he would go with it:

"Race is still a challenge for us to talk about openly. It is still one of the most challenging issues that faces the nation, but the Urban League wants to focus on a productive discussion around issues like race and education and race and jobs. There's such a focus on talk, but we also need to focus on action."

"Sometimes people only see our advocacy voice, but they don't see the work we do in our offices around the country. We are not an inside-the-Beltway organization. We're an organization whose strength is outside in the communities around the nation."

The liberal media, and especially  fringe gatherings like netroots.nation, continually destroy opportunities to have open conversations about race, for they cling to the way we were.  They no more want the country to all get along than they want BP to fix the leak, for they would then no longer have an opportunity to throw the race card out when they need to drum up their base, or hit a nerve, or make the opposition out to be the evil villain.  The left can only thrive, and survive, by creating separation and division -- creating a case for why you need "them"... the government, I am here to help -- creating a case for building a bigger and better government (not).

The liberal media -- like netroots.nation, like journolists -- can be summed up as the new fringe group, with unfortunately the opportunity to affect millions, simply by running the same sad narrative over and over again with a host of networks at their beckon call.

I realize I am all over the place today...my mind is just trying to get around the last few days, weeks, months... between the story of Shirley Sherrod and Fox, between the NAACP and Breitbart, between this administration and the sound majority of 89% of us who no longer believe in Congress, between the mounds of sensationalism journalism pitting good, honest to goodness white people against good, honest to goodness black people, I am hoping that what happened in Vegas within the confines of netroots.nation simply stays in Vegas. 

But even if these "journalists" haven't a change of heart, 98 days from now, the real nation may have someone like Allen West in congress, and be in a position to change everything back to the way we were, but in a good way. 

For we know better.
For 'hear ye, hear ye, ' we are not fringe, we are not extremists, we are not even simply a movement -- we are simply the way, the truth, and the light, speaking on behalf of an American majority -- we know who we are.  We are Americans.  We come in all colors and sizes; and come as republicans, democrats, independents and libertarians. We are people gathered together, in union, who believe in the Republic, the rule of law, our Constitution, and the Golden Rule; print that.

We have better things to DO; and albeit sometimes wise, talking, in and of itself, doesn't get anything done.

Okay.  We could go round all day on the many ways size does matter; but today, we will narrow it down to a funny little thing I found on Yahoo. this morning, something that ventured to explain why we exist.

Many of us could actually answer that without thinking twice about it, and It begins with the letter G -- but heck, let's just roll with this anyway.

Apparently, for years, scientists have wondered how matter and the antimatter do not entirely cancel each other out; how is it we can walk around, when all things point to the opposite affect, and to that end, non-existence for everyone, and every thing? 
Well, low and behold, according to a band of 500 rocket scientists, there is a one point advantage to the side of matter -- 1% separates us from being a thing or a no-thing.

Matter over the Anti-matter; conviction over apathy; honor over corruption; truth over ignorance; everlasting over the moment; we the people over congress -- good always comes out on top -- oh, thank God.

It may not appear so, it may take time, it may even take a generation to return; but the means to the end, holding dear to principles and values, wins every time.  It's just the way of natural law, of cause and effect, of how matter truly does matter; while without a doubt, the one-point edge is good to know now for certain.

I was enlightened by another ongoing experiment in the pursuit of understanding We the People yesterday -- Glenn Beck pointed out the realization that 17 out of the top 25 books being sought after for enlivening and enrichment (on http://www.amazon.com/), for answers and not rhetoric, encapsulate either our Founders, early Americana, or our Constitution --  we all seem to be looking at the one thing that continues to capture our imagination and answer the question, just how did we get here? Just how did America get here?  After all that's been said and done, how can this be?

And with that goes along something I find humorous within the media -- seems the journalists and commentators can't seem to explain the Tea Party phenomenon as easily as they would like it to be; it's a matter that for all intents and purposes, reckons to be something undefinable; even though the typical tea party group is never one in the same with another -- homegrown and vibrant, they are an enigma of political sway and circumstance. 

Neither party is safe, or considered absolute, under the looking glass of a truth-er -- a political scientist hell bent on finding the candidate that best subscribes and holds to the founding principles of this country -- those who best exemplify the men (or women) of honor like days of yore.

Yet the commonality of what matters to everyone acquainted with, or intimately tied to, a tea party is the same -- no matter where you go, there you are.  It is absolutely brilliant, really.

The matter, and what truly matters, is all the same -- restoring America's limited government, in keeping with the principles beholdened to our personal liberties and freedom for all, equally, under the rule of law -- not man.

Some try very hard to define, control, round up the data into one word, like calling it a "movement"  -- nix ay on the oovement-stay;  as if it is fleeting somehow, a fad, something that will go away -- here today, gone to Maui... 

When in fact it is way deeper than that; for it is simply the way -- the American Way! 

And every one born on these shores is made of this!  What's more, we embody this kind of matter, this American way of life, this conviction to our founders, and the intentions brought forth within our sacred documents -- like the Federalist Papers, our Declaration of Independence, our Federal Constitution, our State Constitutions -- we cling to these because it is our Truth.  It is what matters to ALL of US in the end.  And without it, we got nothin'.

Discovering that science supports matter above all else is cool; finding out that only one-percent separates us from what truly matters, and what does not, is even better; KNOWING what matters has the edge, priceless.

The T's have it today, and hopefully until the end of time.  For the tea party people have recognized, for quite some time now, the edge of our existence; and with any luck, it may be the one factor that pushes the doubters over to the believers in this instant.

Someone who has clearly lost his edge is our President; but come to think of it, upon further examination, it appears to be more a case of being consumed by the anti-matter right from the start.  That is unfortunate; we had such high hopes., nobody questioned a thing.

I'm just thinking aloud this morning, wondering if the teachings of Buddha would find a more widely acceptable path of higher education within our widely held liberal education system of today?

Would the left brain thinkers allow for that?

Wondering if the airy fairy nature of it, the free spirited transcendence to higher thought, and the universal teachings of karma and suffering and connection to all of life as one everlasting soul which never really dies be found more palatable, by the liberals hellbent on indoctrinating our children their way or the highway?

As I go there, my mind also wanders off another direction, amused by the polarizing efforts of the main stream media, and the like, in an attempt to marginalize the tea party movement with the typical extremism fodder.  Amused completely, as apparently they entirely miss the purity of it's essence -- true Americana at play -- nothing more and everything less, in it's simplest of forms.

For the Tea Party movement is, at it's purest state, the re-birthing of freedom and liberty -- America Reincarnate, if you will.

Last I checked within the scope of my chakras, this isn't extremism whatsoever -- as a matter of fact, it transcends all party lines.  The make up of this brave, effervescent, honorable crowd -- the colors of red white and blue unite into violet -- encompassing all political ideology known to man; while at it's very core, is the opalescence of commonalities in which we all share, as Americans.

Please, someone, point me in the direction where I may find an Independent who shudders at the thought of real independence... living in a land where true liberty reigns in every aspect of their world, where less government regulation and more freedom to work and play and follow whatever religious practice of their choosing (or not) dictates without a tyrannical force telling you do this and not that, let me take this and you get that. 

Show me that American Independent.

Please, someone, point me in the direction where I may find a Democrat who shudders at the thought of living in a real American democracy...where everyone is equal under the law, where we unilaterally unite with one another under this law, and worship the ground we walk on as it is the only place like it in the world!

Show me that American Democrat.


I beg of you, all of you, tell me it is not just white bread, middle-class American, republicans who rally around this level of liberty and free thought.

Taking another twist this morning, I am awe struck with the actions of one person in Hollywood -- who happens to also be one of my favorites to watch, too, come to think of it.  Goldie Hawn.

The Hawn Foundation is responsible for creating a mind over matter program to elevate children across America through bringing attention to a higher school of thought -- the use of meditation in our schools!  She, herself, a self-described Jewish-Buddhist, leads the charity.  Her foundation developed a program called MindUp.

Hawn was in Washington last year promoting her cause and meeting with lawmakers, but more currently has met with Michael Gove, "Britains's shadow secretary of state for children, schools, and families', according to a brief article found in Newsmax magazine, May edition.  The article makes note that "Gove's education reform allows for charities, churches and parents' groups the freedom to set up schools in the state sector" and quotes him saying, "we need more schools outside local-authority control to challenge the bureaucratic monopoly."

Can you just imagine it?  Much of Hawn's program is simply based on teaching children, K-7, the qualities of meditation in order to alleviate stress, learn how to center oneself using breathing techniques, and tapping into this higher realm of being -- essentially increasing a child's ability to concentrate better, focus on learning, and even make them calmer, at peace with the world, with an added benefit of becoming less aggressive overall.

Looking beyond the entire scope of the MindUp program, however, one would have to be further enlightened by the occurrence of any of these children continuing the practice after they graduate.  For with a deeper look into the teachings of Buddha, we could probably stop at the first five precepts to find a path of creating a better life:

1.To refrain from taking life

(non-violence towards sentient life forms), or ahimsā

2.To refrain from taking that which is not given

(not committing theft)

3.To refrain from sensual misconduct

 (including sexual)

4.To refrain from lying

 (speaking truth always)

5.To refrain from intoxicants which lead to loss of mindfulness

(specifically, drugs and alcohol)

"The precepts are not formulated as imperatives, but as training rules that laypeople undertake voluntarily to facilitate practice.[87] In Buddhist thought, the cultivation of dana and ethical conduct will themselves refine consciousness to such a level that rebirth in one of the lower heavens is likely, even if there is no further Buddhist practice. There is nothing improper or un-Buddhist about limiting one's aims to this level of attainment.[88]"   One caveat, this quote, and the five precepts, were discovered from the teachings of wikipedia school of thought.

I'm just wondering if the left wing liberal educators who have done such a bang up job orchestrating a hostile takeover of our schools would have any sincere gripe about this?  Isn't this stuff right up their alley -- the path marching to the belief system that we are one with the world, of redistribution of the earth's resources in every which way and backwards,  the kumbaya lovers, the save the whales -- save the children -- save the planet (taking advantage of plugging Earth Day as we speak) philosophy?
 
I would love to see our education system embrace every possible avenue for raising self actualized, self-reliant, spiritually gifted,Americans -- ultimately raising free enterprising industrialist in every which way, including green, children into responsible adults.  Oh my God, can you just imagine it?! 
 
Pure love... surrounded in the silence of pure love first thing in the morning until we close our eyes at night -- embodying every aspect of the Divine into our daily life, into our work, school and play.  Now, that would be a kind of bi-partisan re-birthing of America that I could sink my thoughts into.
 
We can be so much more than this -- this foreboding and underlying sense that all the world is failing us, the sky is falling, the end is near and to whom can we point fingers to blame line of thinking.  We are so busy pointing outward -- we have dismissed the only thing that will ever save us -- the inward search for meaning, the hidden path to understanding, the center of our own bad self as the cause and creator of our own world -- which collectively appears rather dismal at this point in time.
 
The secret to finding the peace that passes all understanding, through whatever path of your choosing, has been right here and inside of us the whole time.  The keys to a higher level of learning -- and living -- are equally shared amongst us under natural law (as carefully and lovingly prescribed by our founders) and hold all the answers to this nation's suffrage and despair. 
 
Natural Law knows no one in particular and everyone in unison equally and in proportion to each one's belief and ability to connect to the law.

I would love to know how Goldie can get away with advocating and preaching about a spiritual world which awaits us at the morning bell each day, while any other tradition masked in Christian mad science is continually down graded and dismissed, dissed to the highest extent, and made a mockery of it's teachings.  For in reality, all religions gather at the same communal wellspring of character and values, a moral compass to uphold.
 
Whether the golden child or the golden rules, can't we all be rest assured by that which defines right action, tapping into all that is Golden in and of itself -- isn't that really what it's all about?
 
The tea party movement speaks on behalf of all children everywhere -- red or yellow, black or white -- we are the same in His sight; we are all the same when we allow ourselves to tap into the universal teachings, a higher power, a spirit divinely available to us all, and connect to that one substance in which all children are made.  We are one with that. 
 
The tea party movement is like an angry crowd of parents, facing a Principle without principals, and making their protest heard before God and everyone, especially, the Superintendent, that being America herself.  The movement only wishes to create more peace of mind, as none other than the parents and caretakers of all the children who will be left behind, with the burden heavy on their heart and shoulders to repay for all kinds of transgressions under the sun.
 
G speaking into the tea leaves now, we, the perpetual students and current protesters that we are, have been there and done that;  we have seen the light and are, in a word, not-happy.
 
We are all together a school of patriots -- encompassing not just one party, but the party of ONE.
 
 
The American party --
one that we entrust to like-minded individuals respectful of our duty to one and all -- all are welcome -- no one is dissed into a corner or ridiculed of dress or code, all are invited to the table -- while everyone brings something of value to share -- we know exactly where we are and where we wish to go -- the world is our oyster and awaits our right action, our right thought, our sweet surrender to that which was made manifest by our forefathers  -- firmly grounded in principals, we will not falter this time, nor will we be lulled or teased into intoxication, forgetting of our  new found mindfulness reincarnate -- we will remain cool, calm and stewards of our Constitution and rest peacefully in it's protection -- the only thing we may harm, may be a fly, but that of course, would be purely transcendental accidental... 
 
and there is nothing more I can say about that, except that y'all just better hope we keep our clothes on.
