It's About NOT ONE MORE THING

Dear America,

so this morning I did something I have never done before...
I called every single Senate Republican's office one by one until done.

Why?

Little old g thing was doing her civic duty -- and bending the ear of any office that would listen, for as long as she could, on behalf of the upcoming vote in the Senate that suspends the debt limit and gives another two years of busting budget caps and big government run amuck courtesy of the everlasting disappointment, the disHonorable Senator Mitch McConnell from Kentucky  (DC office number: 202-224-2541).

It's a fascinating experience if you, yourself, need any encouragement to dive into the pig trough that is congress, the cutting edge of bureaucratic slop and entitlement gluttons and crony, conniving capitalists laughing all the way to the edge of reason and jumping in anyway.

And because the experience is simply too good to keep to myself -- let me share the rapture that sometimes sounds like the person on the other end of the line couldn't give a flying hoot, as in, press one to leave a message, press two if you wish to speak to someone, press three if you request a letter back, press four if you even think we care (kinda made that one up).

Now, to be honest -- MANY of the offices actually had a real live person answer!  What a wonderful world is that!    And even SOME really sounded like they did care, to the extent they wanted to even have the zip code from where I called in the great US of A... for the record, you know.

And the shock, when speaking to Sarah at Senator John Hoeven's office (the Honorable Senator from North Dakota:  202-224-2551).    God love her, she even wanted to know WHY little old g was standing firm against the measure.  We actually had a real live conversation (for about a minute and a half).  But it felt like she really was listening; but who really knows, anymore, right.

Another observation, and maybe it's just me -- but as I made the calls, the intimidation factor decreased.  For at first, when somebody answered -- I was like, wow, this is really his office...I was tongue-tied... tripping over everything I wanted to say.  Then, slowly, with practice, it got so easy.  By the end of the entire process, I was almost demanding the person listen to every bit I had to say on the matter -- realizing and enlightened by my own personal power.  After all -- they work for us for jiminy crickets.

So without further delay:  CALL your SENATORS, call all of them if you dare.  Tell them to stop; tell them to stop working together right now.  Seriously. Stop.  Not one more thing.

Here's a leg up and over the fence:  Senate Conservative Fund offers a perfect link to all the numbers, HERE. (highly recommend donning a pair of rubber knee-high boots before you holla, gets a wee bit messy).

And just in case you are wondering -- the House wasn't safe today either.  Those guys got a fax, courtesy of Grassfire!  Love those guys! They make it soooooo easy to roll in it without really lifting a finger or even getting dirty.

Now one more funny thing to share.

It was when I called Senator Charles (Chuck) Grassley's office (the Honorable Senator from Iowa: 202-224-3744).  And bear in mind, he has been in office over 30 years, right.   Well, when you call his DC number -- if he doesn't have anyone in the office, or if the lines are busy, there is NO voicemail,  It just rings and rings and rings (which, if you follow along with G, just yesterday we were lamenting the loss of the old-fashioned telly...not really...but let's just say, all of a sudden, the realization that there are some guys in office stuck in the twentieth century made me giggle a little.)

Anyway -- this is really all there is to say on the day.

CALL.  FAX.  Get on that shiny new Iphone6S.  Whatever floats your boat through the moat that protects congress from the dumb-ass country bumpkins like us (tee hee).

And speaking of us --
and it's, yet again, a carry-over from yesterday's say, how about that David Axelrod?

Plucked from the political muck and mire at the disseminating pages of The Daily Caller, the world according to Axelrod begins with this honorable distinction:

Former Obama advisor David Axelrod says the Tea Party is “fundamentally anti-government, populist in its notions, and this is a direct appeal to that group that is very anti-Washington.”
yes, please.

In a weird, ironic, noxious way -- Axelrod understands me better than my own republican representatives.  Isn't that a kick in the donkey's ass.

But just to be clear, Mr. Ass'lrod -- you left out a pretty big word:   BIG.   The Tea Party, the lip smackin' sweet Tea that it is --  IS fundamentally firm against BIG government.  Because Big Ass Government is fundamentally against the people (I mean, talk about hoof and mouth disease run a foul...)

And when BIG ASS Government works fundamentally against the health and wealth of the people, we rise, and come together to defend all things that matter.  Even if it takes an hour out of our morning to make 54 phone calls to the Senate and send about an equal number of faxes to the House. We might even smoke some hay afterwards just to soak up all the rewards of doing the right thing.

And lookie there; what a perfect segway on to the campaign trail...

So tonight -- in hopes of clearing the field, we await the possibility that one of the republican candidates really steps in it; wonder who that will be?

yes.
indeed.

It's official.

I've worked myself into a tizzy...a sticky wicket...caught in my own slop of annoyances large and small.

I better go.  Hate to put a hoof in the mouth.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a Variety of Things Unfitting and Unsettling from This Little Miss Thing

Dear America,

humanitarian awards and nobel peace prizes, my ass

[See most recent, Ambassador for Humanity Award, presented by Steven Speilberg, in LA, last night @the Horn residence for a private party AND democratic fundraiser... "Tickets to the event started $10,000 per person, including dinner and a photo op. Those donating $32,400 per couple got listed as “sponsors” and could take part in a VIP reception. Those donating $64,800 per couple were listed as “hosts” and could take part in a “VIP clutch."  -- ...get all the scoop @Variety, here]

i'm not seeing it  (i mean, he was nominated for the peace prize just two weeks in -- seriously?); as such, i had to highlight this load of caca in pink just to stomach the leaps and turns of good faith.

but more than that, a president getting a trophy for doing what he is supposed to do?

for standing up for something just because it's the right thing to do?

getting a trophy for participating on the right side of life and liberty?

he is the president for pete's sake...don't all  American presidents do this?

yup

and it's going to be THAT kind of day.

And why so jaded G so early on the day, pray tell?

For he's compassionate to a point; he's high and mighty and noble and pleased only when he gets his way; he jumps to conclusions only when said conclusions align with that certain something that is also  fully complaint with his agenda; for he's transparent ...as he promised....when he wants to be, how he wants to be, and when he wants to be, and only when it's in his favor.

Transparent, indeed.

I can see you, all of you, Mr. President.

[and truth be told, if i really did want to see him -- given he's running around San Diego somewhere today -- i really could catch a glimpse of the shining political puppet of genius]

but i don't; for i'm sitting around in my pj's doing THIS

anywho,

what was I talking about?

oh right.

now back to the Variety piece...

here's some presidential party favors fresh from the Horn's backyard...and i quote Ted Johnson quoting Him :

Obama warned of “a self-fulfilling prophesy” during a midterm election year where “people who have the most at stake in a government that works opt out of the system; those who don’t believe government can do anything are empowered; gridlock reigns, and we got this downward spiral of even more cynicism and more dysfunction. And we have to break out of that cycle and that’s what this election all about,” Obama said, in remarks that lasted about 15 minutes.

He added that his travels to other countries have led him not to “buy this notion purported here that that somehow America is on a downward trajectory. By every indicator we are better positioned than any country on earth to succeed in this knowledge economy in the 21st century. But what is absolutely true is that if we don’t make good choices we could decline, and we’re not going to make good choices unless we break out of this cycle in which dysfunction breeds cynicism, and we have to break out of it. And that happens during midterms. That does not happen during presidential elections.
which is funny, isn't it?

FOR -- after SIX years as president and adding a couple more if you go ahead and include his "presence" in the Senate  -- HE IS WASHINGTON.  He is to blame for leading this nation during this era of  "dysfunction."

Who is he trying to kid?

Oh that's right; he's talking to his marry band of hollywood left wing loons.

Only with this audience could he get away with talking in circles and come off reasonably coherent, as everyone gives way to a respectable round of ovation...

"people who have the most at stake in a government that works opt out of the system; those who don’t believe government can do anything are empowered; gridlock reigns, and we got this downward spiral of even more cynicism and more dysfunction. And we have to break out of that cycle and that’s what this election all about.....But what is absolutely true is that if we don’t make good choices we could decline, and we’re not going to make good choices unless we break out of this cycle in which dysfunction breeds cynicism, and we have to break out of it,"  He says.

what?

i'm sorry, was that our president speaking?  Did he not have a mobile teleprompter on his phone?

[just can't wait for SNL to imitate life with that snippet]

The real thing is, Washington under THIS administration is functioning just fine. too fine, in fact.

There is not one thing going wrong for THEM, if you know what I mean.

Ted Cruz has the idea... see his report on just how much "the challenges out there remain daunting and we have a Washington that’s not working”  (according to Obama)  (yeah, right, according to T and G).

For Washington is functioning via the Executive Branch, the Department of Justice, the Department of Land Management, the IRS, the Fed...shall I keep going?  just fine and without any help from congress.

Thank you, Ted.   See HERE.   [And honors go out to The Daily Caller and Matt Drudge for the assist.]

According to Cruz  (and he's not standing alone):

“President Obama has openly defied [rule of law] by repeatedly suspending, delaying, and waiving portions of the laws that he is charged to enforce. When President Obama disagreed with federal immigration laws, he instructed the Justice Department to cease enforcing the laws. He did the same thing with federal welfare law, drug laws, and the federal Defense of Marriage Act,” Cruz wrote. “In the more than two centuries of our nation’s history, there is simply no precedent for the White House wantonly ignoring federal law and asking others to do the same."

did you get into that and scroll down to page six?

ass-stonishing.

oh, and BTW, we're just getting started.

My

pièce de résistance on the day....drum roll please:

THIS, from the Wall Street Journal's Daniel Henninger...
 i think i love you....

Obama Unleashes the Left.  indeed

This is how it begins:
In the U.S., the politics of the left versus the right rolls on with the predictability of traffic jams at the George Washington Bridge. It's a lot of honking. Until now. All of a sudden, the left has hit ramming speed across a broad swath of American life—in the universities, in politics and in government. People fingered as out of line with the far left's increasingly bizarre claims are being hit and hit hard

....you don't say....

Is that not the truth, or what?

And today, allow me, G, to highlight just how embedded into the system this stuff really goes...from Henninger's post:

It's obvious that the far left has decided there are no longer constraints on what it can do to anyone who disagrees with it. How did this happen? Who let the dogs out?

The answer is not university presidents. The answer is that the Obama administration let the dogs out.

The trigger event was an agreement signed last May between the federal government and the University of Montana to resolve a Title IX dispute over a sexual-assault case...
Tease alert.

That's just a little something something from the middle --  you will have to read the entire piece for yourself.   But don't fret, for it's well worth your time.  [And, if you really got the time, here's the press release on 'the list' of Universities being carefully guarded, watched, micro-managed,  by this administration....]

Dysfunctional, my sweet petunia derriere

Every cornerstone of this nation --

Everywhere we turn --  the conservative half of the country is being attacked, mocked, victimized, vilified,  pummeled into the ground, SUED [you will really like that link too]-- and basically deemed, labeled, and shipped on a slow boat  to China  totally insignificant.  Worthless,   Dirt.  Lower than dirt.

[G note:  I would never attempt to shut down the liberal mindset and go on a rampage delivering high level personal attacks just because I don't agree with it.  Never.  How the Left could be so intimidated and affected by alternative ways to govern, or rather, not to govern, these fine United States is beyond my realm of understanding.  Speaking of Civil Rights -- we all have a voice.]

All the while, THIS administration is functioning on all cylinders, with a mainstream media hypnotically going through the motions, virtually fallen all asleep from the hum of the deafening white noise, chock-full with the corruption of power and the lure of perpetuating ideological lies.  With a media empowered from within and without, fully supportive of the little engine that could, as if the steaming locomotive on high speed rail is unseen; it chooses propaganda over the truth; it sells a Utopian pipe dream over the fundamental, self-reliant, rugged individualism this nation was originally intended and pre-destined by the real conductor, Divine Providence, of course.

There is no cause for alarm; for the plan is not only in motion  and Organizing for America, but it's working.

There is no need to sound the red alert, Mr. President, so please make the little Mrs. happy and stop campaigning  -- unless, of course, you happen to be one of the few, the proud, the 47%, who are NOT  aligned with THIS.  For then, and only then,  duh, let the alarms blare.   For this wily, progressive, oppressive, controlling, regulating, enterprising snuffing, regime currently reigning as if America were a kingdom has got to go somewhere where the sun don't shine.  This regime has not brought peace, unity, or anything of the sort; worshiping at the alter of "the ends justify the means," this administration has done nothing more than divide us, one by one, piece by piece.   But of course maybe it's just me.

oh i'm sorry,

did I not give you all enough to read?

oh, my bad, maybe next time.

Make it a Good Day, G

 In Epi-blaaaahg:

Did you not catch the irony of that whole
Speilberg --Holocaust-- Award -- Obama thing?

From the Variety,
Obama told the crowd at the Century Plaza Hotel that with Spielberg’s “masterful” movie in which “we were reminded that the Holocaust was not a matter of distant history or abstract horror. The voices, the memories of survivors became immediate, and intimate, became a part of all of is.”

Which is hilarious..
you know...
given the current
Common Core question under fire --
was the Holocaust real, was it?  was it?
 Read THIS.
Just one more good thing coming out of this administration. yay.
