It's Just a Daesh Dash Thing

Dear America,

so America's president, speaking in Havana of all places, called the attacks during the early morning rush hour in Brussels -- by suicide bomber -- "outrageous." And said --

"This is yet another reminder that the world must unite, we must be together, regardless of nationality or race or faith, in fighting against the scourge of terrorism."
Now this attack, is a hit just days after the arrest of Salah Abdeslam, in Brussels; Abdeslam being a key suspect connected to the November Paris attack that killed over a hundred people during a concert venue.

So our president called it "outrageous" and asked for the world to come together; while the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, called it exactly what it is:  "We are at war.  We have been subjected for the last few months in Europe to acts of war."

Now President Obama's sentiment may be all well and good, in the great scheme of things; but make no mistake, in the midst of making his unprepared response to the world -- in Cuba -- he glosses over reality.

Christians are not attacking by suicide bomber, sword, and caches of automatic weapons.

Hindus are not attacking by suicide bomber, sword, and caches of automatic weapons.

Buddhists are not attacking by suicide bomber, sword, and caches of automatic weapons.

Mormons are not attacking by suicide bomber, sword, and caches of automatic weapons.

should we continue?

This isn't about being "regardless of nationality, or race or faith."

In a matter of record and reality -- this IS regarding a certain faith to extremes.

President Obama doesn't have the guts to call out Muslim extremists acting out against the teachings of Mohammed, by name --  unlike his ease of pontificating against the followers of Christ.  No, he has seen the "less than loving" Christians, and if you give him a minute, he may just start naming them.

And just how do you plan on "bringing to justice those who are responsible," as you say, Mr. President, when they're dead?!

Muslim extremists can do this all the live long day.

One

by

One.

To the north.
To the south.
North by Northwest...

To all things WEST.

Middle Eastern MEN, with the help of women, family and friends and dissidents and heretics and everything coming from the frayed and fringe -- are acting on a rage against the West.

Cue  our Secretary of State John Kerry just a few days ago:

“Daesh is genocidal by self-proclamation, by ideology, and by actions — in what it says, what it believes, and what it does,” Mr. Kerry told reporters in Washington, using the Arabic name by which many in the Middle East derisively refer to the Islamic State.
And this just in:  the Islamic State just took responsibility for the attack in Brussels.

Cue the justice against those responsible for the attacks and let our response begin in a less than loving way, Mr. President.

And by the way -- it doesn't matter what we call it.

I guess, according to the intellectual elites running the world these days,  by calling it Daesh -- instead of ISIL -- we are really putting our foot down; now coming from a position of pure strength, while resorting to piecing together our  foreign policy beginning with name-calling, we can be assured security...worldwide.

oooooooh

yeah

how's that working for us?

Guess the Brussels attack is ISIL's response to that; or -- more than likely --  it's of no relation whatsoever.

Terrorists surely know by now -- our response will surely be according to our values...and you know....ironically....the origins of those values are directly related to our Judeo-Christian roots!

It's a good thing there is a time for everything under Heaven, non?  [and if you say that with a french accent the better]

there is a time for peace,
there is a time for war.

And it happens to also be about that time when our president begins to negotiate with the Castro regime on all kinds of things, perhaps beginning with giving back Guantanamo -- forcing us to bring these terrorists to America's shore, or worse, letting more go.   For, you know, it is about coming together, even if that means uniting with the communists of Cuba, the terrorists of Iran, alike --

As the president said yesterday --

“I actually welcome President Castro commenting on some of the areas where he feels where we’re falling short because I think we should not be immune or afraid of criticism or discussion as well.” [read more at The Patriot Post, here]
Are you kidding me?

yeah

that's what we are.

Feel the love, ya'll,

and on that note, there is a knock at my door, and I must go.

life is so unpredictable; and yet sometimes, it's not.

It's Persecution Comes in Many Colors Thing

Dear America,

[fine print on the day -- prepare -- I intend to be all over the place; and with good reason.  bon appetit!]
“Our strategy recognizes that no amount of military force will end the terror that is ISIL unless it’s matched by a broader effort — political and economic — that addresses the underlying conditions that have allowed ISIL to gain traction. … Ultimately, in order for us to defeat terrorist groups like ISIL and al-Qaida, it’s going to also require us to discredit their ideology. This broader challenge of countering violent extremism is not simply a military effort. Ideologies are not defeated with guns; they’re defeated by better ideas — a more attractive and more compelling vision.”
President Obama, yesterday
And now, let's gain a little perspective and philosophy from 1747 from Benjamin Franklin:

"Were this Union formed, were we once united, thoroughly armed and disciplined, were everything in our power done for our security, as far as human means and foresight could provide, we might then, with more propriety, humbly ask the assistance of Heaven and a blessing on our lawful endeavors." (Smyth, Writings of Benjamin Franklin, plucked from pages of The 5000 Year Leap, Skousen)

Franklin, continued:

"The very fame of our strength and readiness would be a means of discouraging our enemies; for 'tis wise and true saying, that 'One sword often keeps another in the scabbard.'  The way to secure peace is to be prepared for war.  That they are on their guard, and appear ready to receive their adversaries, are in much less danger of being attacked than the supine, secure and negligent."

While this strategy of peace through strength is summed up by Franklin like so --

"Our security lies, I think, in our growing strength, both in numbers and wealth; that creates an increasing ability of assisting this nation in its wars, which will make us more respectable, our friendship more valued, and our enmity feared; thence it will soon be thought proper to treat us not with justice only, but with kindness, and thence we may expect in a few years a total change of measures with regard to us; unless, by neglect of military discipline, we should lose all martial spirit, and our western people become as tame as those in the eastern dominions of Britain [India], when we expect the same oppressions; for there is much truth in the Italian saying, "Make yourselves sheep, and the wolves will eat you."

As we swifty  Skip to My Lou  up to the present day.....here's Marco Rubio, while speaking at CPAC not long ago:

"Our allies no longer trust us,
our enemies no longer fear us."

And that's when it happened.

Ding!

The observance of how the Obama Administration "fights" ISIL (or Iran...and any other entity considered to be an enemy of America's security) vs. how the Obama Administration confronts -- no, "degrades and destroys" --  Christianity in America; now, uncharacteristically and profoundly disturbing, making this faith public enemy number one.

Obama, circa 2007:

“Whatever we once were, we’re no longer a Christian nation. At least not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, and a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers,”
And masterfully, paving the way and preparing the world for the pending multicultural America upon the horizon, the very destruction of her foundation begins.

Going back to the president's remarks on ISIL...perhaps tweaking it just a wee bit, we arrive at this:

Ultimately, in order for us to defeat terrorist groups like the Catholic Church or Fundamental Christians, it’s going to also require us to discredit their ideology. This broader challenge of countering violent extremism is not simply a military effort YET. Ideologies are not defeated with guns; they’re defeated by better ideas — a more attractive and more compelling vision, which only the progressive Left can provide

In the eight years since, military chaplains are being scolded for holding Christian prayers, or saying Jesus by name; while also, an actual Islamic terrorist attack that killed thirteen patriots at Fort Hood, on American soil, is being labeled "work place violence."

Atheists groups are gaining the secular upper hand, being instrumental in removing prayer in the huddle before football games, or removing the Ten Commandments that were once considered written in stone, from the town square.

And to the most recent demise of our religious rights, and community organizing which blatantly prohibit  "the free exercise thereof," as individuals who decline same-sex marriage services become under assault, taking away not only their religious right to free exercise thereof, but their livelihoods, if not their entire fortune!

In response to Obama's comments on ISIL, here's an excerpt from Dan Gilmore, of The Patriot Post, that makes common sense:

"Clearly, we didn’t win independence from Britain with superior debating skills, nor did we defeat the Nazis or Soviets with speeches. Furthermore, debate works amidst a civil society, but not when one side is enslaving minorities, burning prisoners alive and beheading others, while vowing further violence against people with which it disagrees."

This works for the argument supporting military might through strength, as well as posing the appropriate context to support religious freedom and civil rights for all.

In THIS country, it's the INDIVIDUAL who remains is king, last I checked.

But not only has the LGBT community, along with the assist from the progressive Left agenda, shut down the debate on the most basic of civil rights, it has begun to make this religious, faithful, Bible thumping community the outsiders in their own country!

And yet, given the numbers -- the 60% of this nation who consider to be called Christian, along with people who are unaffiliated with organized Christianity, but think of themselves believers adding another 22%, and realizing the Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu encompass a mere 6% -- the fact of the matter is....drum roll please....we are a CHRISTIAN nation, having been founded by CHRISTIAN values, all along!   Even those who love reality shows should be able to embrace this without issue.

Where are the authentic Christian believers, with the help from a few of the "unaffiliated"or not,  with the courage to back up our most fundamental right?

Where are you in this fight?

Um, I heard once, not that long ago, "make yourselves sheep, the wolves eat you,"

In this country, we have a right to bake our cake and eat it too and NOT take it to a same-sex marriage ceremony  and NOT be persecuted for it -- whether you agree with this or not; in this country, we are born with this right.  For the free exercise thereof supports the INDIVIDUAL religious belief and whatever actions they take, both public and private. The individual cannot be separated from their religion.  Whether in church, at home, at school, at work, it is all the same-same.  [Case in point, how the Muslim scarf has been allowed to stay wrapped in America, even in the workplace; or how Muslims are allowed to stop and pray, even in the workplace.]

It's why the First Amendment to the Constitution was written the way it was written.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or the prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the press; or the right of the people peacefully to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

It's true -- we do not have an "established" Christian religion in this country -- just look around; we are not commanded to go to mass, or to a church, of any kind; we are free to do  whatever we want when it comes to believing or not believing.   But the truth is, we are a whole bunch of believers.

While the respect and admiration and hope of this very Omniscience that surrounds us - this notion of Divine Providence  written throughout the ages -- and thoroughly having It's way in the founding of this country is not only recorded vividly and profusely within and around our institutions and declarations and history, It was made with firm intention and looking forward with the totality for all future generations.

Some things don't just go away even if a ruckus crowd denies and degrades and aims to destroy it...

Even if five Supremes choose to deny religious conscience...

Even if some people choose to twist the truth into something dirty or wrong headed, or of the wrong ideology.

What has troubled me from the start of this same-sex marriage revolution is the lack of understanding back behind the real life conscience of the Christian believer [And Christianity not being the only religion with exceptions to these unions, while some even oppose to just being gay.].  For according to the actions, through the courts and otherwise, of the LGBT community and the Left, the civil right of simply keeping to yourself and one's own religion is ripe to be trampled upon to no end.

Oh which reminds me of some poignant and thoughtful comments I read earlier this morning, featured on the Huffington Post, and written by a Christian, Gay, woman...Whitney Kay Bacon.  Now, appreciating her experience immensely; I must say it was well written.   That is, up until the end.   It was in her final paragraph, while making her last point, when she said this:

"So, my dear fellow Christians, from one Christian to another, please mind your own business and PLEASE make sure that your hands are clean before you point your finger at me and my community. Amen."
Likewise, Ms. Whitney Kay Bacon.

PLEASE....Let the bakers, the florists, the churches, mind their own business according to their individual beliefs and walk away.   AND let the bakers, the florists, the churches, etc...speak up if they feel so inclined!  [a gag order, pulleeze.]  My, how persecution comes in many colors and flavors.

Wait a minute...wait a minute...
As a matter of fact, and for the record --- the baker in Oregon WAS minding her own business, Ms. Bacon!   Say what....

Now directing a few questions to the general gay community...

Do you really need to sue?
Do you really have to resort to name calling just because she shares certain beliefs as it pertains to marriage along with plenty of other Christians, mind you?
Do you really need to pummel Christianity into the ground and silence it's rightful civil responsibility to voice it's opposition, and act according to one's beliefs, so help me God?

It was the lesbian couple that went to the establishment and asked for services -- and it was the service of baking a cake for a gay wedding which the baker could not support; the homosexuality aspect was not the issue.  The Oregon baker, @Sweet Cakes, was simply minding her own business and it was the direct actions of the Lesbian couple who made it America's business.

I'm pretty sure another baker, or florist, or "unaffiliated" church would love to serve you with not only their full support, but with pure love.

How about you go to those people!
How about leaving those whose faith teaches them another definition of marriage, under God, alone. Is that really so hard?   For why would you want to force a business who cannot wholeheartedly come to the table of agreement with you serve you anyway?  Funny, isn't it -- for in this way the bully pulpit takes on an ulterior rainbow universe all of it's very own.

The thing is, reality proves a greater war under foot, upon American soil, and far, far away from the growth of ISIL in the middle east.

And sadly, it is a war against Christianity.

My mantra of late is four little words:  THY will be done.

And in this moment, I pray, for not only THY will be done -- I pray that we, as a nation, find a way through this.   Nothing is by accident. [And believe me when I say, you don't have to pray if you don't want to...just sayin']

THY will be done
[Matter of fact, it is done, already
in the mind of God.
Is that soothing to know, or what...]

I BELIEVE, we are assembled and united by a Higher Purpose, even now.

You are here, right now, for a reason.
I am here, right now, for a reason.

To question and become disturbed by things unsettling and troubling, is to question God -- and that is not going to get us anywhere.

It is time to pray for guidance, humility, love and peace for every single one of us and watch the magic that IS Life, that is God, in action.

Spirit has always proven to be superior to matter ....

take the spirit of overcoming Britain, against all odds, in the American Revolution...

take the spirit of overcoming slavery, against all odds, in the Civil War...[While it was the same Christianity which assisted William Wilberforce use his faith to change the world, for he believed slavery was wrong, long before America's Civil War was fought and won.]

take the spirit of overcoming Christian bigotry happening all over the world, right now, and tragically, even here, in the United States of America...

against all odds.

America has been here before.
And it will take every single one of us, as individuals, to work it out and see it through, allowing Divine Providence to carry us, for Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness for all and ultimately protect this beautiful, spiritual, promised land.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's an Enigma that Keeps on Giving Thing

Dear America,

“The momentum that ISIL built up during the summer has dissipated. It continues, yes, to commit terrible crimes," said Kerry. "But it has also been forced to relinquish bases, abandon training sites, alter its mode of communications, disperse personnel, and stop the use of large convoys.”
quoting John Kerry...last November.

He went on to say, not to worry....

“Where once there was suspicion and discord, we now see the Saudi foreign minister link arms with Iraq’s Kurdish and Shia leaders. We see the government of Turkey agree to allow Kurdish fighters to cross its border and take on ISIL. We see the multi-confessional leadership of Lebanon jointly resisting armed incursions into their territory.”

...the region is working together to fight back.

Oh Really?

This is "momentum dissipated?"

This is working together?

From the Daily Beast, under a column named "Frenemies,"  Nancy Youssef highlights the current impasse between  the United States and Egypt; it comes on the heels of Egyptian airstrikes against ISIL after the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians on the shores of Libya.

Let's be a little more clear, shall we...

"We are neither condemning nor condoning” the Egyptian strikes, is all one U.S. official would tell The Daily Beast.

In other words, these once-close nations are now fighting separate campaigns against their mutual foe. And that could prove to be very good news for ISIS. The rift between U.S. and the region’s most populous country portends of another division that ISIS could exploit, this time for its expansion into northern Africa and the broader Middle East.

It's an enigma that keeps on giving.

And then, 45 Iraqi's -- some believed to be part of the security forces and their families -- were captured by ISIL and burned to death.

Thank goodness we telegraphed our immediate plans to take over Mosul -- and before the end of May, as, after that, it just becomes way too hot, and of course, there's Ramadan.

As ISIL responds to that,  almost immediately -- oh, so you wanna piece of me? -- bite me.

hmmmm wonder what they are going to do with nearly 90 Syrian Christians?

Yes, indeed, Secretary of State John Kerry -- I see it --  ISIL's momentum has totally dissipated.
And whatever we are doing, we must be doing it right, as things have totally shifted in favor of freedom and liberty all the way.
[Just taking a break there with some bona fide sarcasm.]

hmmm wonder what the president is going to say about this new news?

I mean, the news of 90 Christians being abducted came from Al Jazeera; no doubt the president respects that news organization.  [Oh, and for great fun -- go back up to "bite me" and scroll down to the comments section.  woo hoo!]

Oh my.
Yes.
G is feeling a wee bit punchy today...

"Gardening,
yoga,
bubble baths,
medication,
and I still want to smack somebody!"

With much thanks and appreciation
for this little gem
going to
Gartner Greetings, Inc.

Encapsulating a feeling in a nano-second, the humble greeting card.  Brilliant.

It's just too bad we can't just send ISIL a greeting card saying something that will mend the broken fences -- the relationship --  right?

I don't know -- a heartfelt apology perhaps...our condolences for their losses...maybe something more like a pleading, begging,  something to the effect of "crying Uncle" en masse,... please, please, make it stop...we can talk this out...grasping for just the right words to say....saying almost anything, promising to be better next time like a battered woman.

yeah, yeah

Fascinating isn't it?

If I believed in "jinxes" -- I would have to admit we jinxed ourselves the very day we gave this president of ours the Nobel Prize as the world's peacemaker. [considering it was merely two weeks into his administration when he was nominated...seriously?...]

Today --nearly every facet of peace working wondrously within society  -- foreign and domestic  -- is asunder.

Marked by:

  • brand new divides in race relations,
  • immigration policy in chaos and lack of security at the American borders,
  • the actions or inaction(s) in the Middle East -- whether between allies or enemies,
  • the upending of the finest health care system in the world,
  • the divide between the have's and the have not's, tearing apart the free-flow of free-enterprise and thwarting efforts to create wealth and security for all
  • the ongoing battle for truth and transparency centering around the many scandals under this administration,
  • the culture, religion, and traditions in America coming under attack under the guise of social justice
-- just so many things at the center of complete unrest in America.

Cue the double entendre:   It's a wonder any of us can sleep.

Make it a Good Day, G

indeed, G, too many of us are asleep.

point well taken.

thank you.

But for those of you with difficulty in the shut-eye department, you might want to try gardening, yoga, bubble baths, medication...

It's Another Visit From the Screw Up Fairy Thing

Dear America,

"Ahhh...I see the screw up fairy
has visited us again"

anonymous

i was waiting for a sign.

something

anything

and then....

In the words of our president, swiped off the pages of POLITICO -- we see, "no apologies;"  boom.

"We saw an opportunity
and we seized it.
And I make no apologies for that."

“I’m never surprised
by controversies that are whipped up in Washington...
that's par for the course."

" 'We have a basic principle:
we do not leave anybody
wearing the American uniform
 behind,'
Obama said,
repeating the defense
he offered earlier in the week."

"I make absolutely
no apologies for making sure that
we get back a young man
to his parents
and that the American people
understand
 that this is somebody’s child.
And that we don’t condition
whether or not
we make the effort
to try to get them back,"

For the whole read, go here.

YOU, sir, have got to be kidding me.

No, better still and under par for the course, maybe the American people should order you this tee shirt to wear on your next round of golf:

"I've learned so much
from my mistakes.
I think I'll make
a few more."
anonymous

indeed.

How in bloody hell do you double down on this?

Have you read the headlines?

Have you not spoken with any of your advisors?

Have you no shame?

Intelligence reports tell us (apparently, all at the same time) that at least six troops died looking for Bergdahl -- a soldier and quite possibly a traitor -- who walked off his post (apparently, more than once).

Your own congress denied the approval of the release of these Gitmo detainees for his exchange (apparently, more than once) dating back to 2012; but more important, were NEVER consulted on this done deal, at the costly ratio of five to one.

What do you have to say to the parents of the those who actually died?  If you had a son,  could you relate -- would any of these guys appear to matter to you?

Here's an account to lose your daily MR for -- from a few days ago on The Daily Beast.  Feeling any pangs in the pit of your stomach yet?

The thing is, Mr. President -- this "soldier" was never placed on the POW list, was he; and you knew that.  I mean, come on, you are the president after all; this kind of inside intelligence is routine and just par for the course on any given day, right?

As president -- you knew the details were sketchy, at best; and you did it anyway?

And the five detainees, now in Qatar?

Scott free; skipping through the dusty daisies with nothing left to do but sit out a year?  Really?

Who's the traitor now?

What about our soldier in Mexico?  Or is he the exchange -- paying the ultimate sacrifice sitting in a Mexican jail for the rest of his life -- for the hundreds, no hundreds of thousands, of children being allowed to not only cross the border into the United States, but now get room and board on the tax payer dime?  Costing...what?

Next thing you know, we will come to find out an entire transit system -- probably a high speed rail fueled entirely by solar energy and windmills -- has been set up south of the border just to transport the children from every nook and cranny of Mexico and South America, in order to flood the system, create the chaos, to force feed immigration reform under duress, under the boot, under the direction of an administration ripe with corruption and deceit.

...to which Obama will respond something like, "well golly, gosh, gosh, I found out about it when you all did."  Or no -- he'll say -- "yes.  yes we did. and I make no apologies for it...every child deserves to be raised by their loving parents, and every loving parent deserves to have their child by their side...it's just the right thing to do."

"Since Oct. 1, U.S. customs agents caught 47,017 children along the southwest border, an eye-popping 92% increase in the last fiscal year."

 — Hundreds of migrant children will be sheltered at a naval facility in California amid a spike in the number of minors caught crossing the border alone, authorities said Tuesday...

Children will be flown to the Port Hueneme site from other shelters while being cleared for transfer to sponsors, said Laura Goulding, a spokeswoman for the Administration for Children and Families, a division of the Health and Human Services Department. They will receive English language instruction, arts and crafts activities, and recreation at the shelter, she said.

Since when does our Health and Human Services Department do all this?  And such a twisted turn of Department of Defense resources, no? Port Hueneme was refurbished in 2007 to house Navy reservists before heading off to Afghanistan...

Curious -- did congress approve of this re-allocation of government property?  Or was this just covered under the cover of darkness within the pages of the Affordable Care Act (just a little something something nobody bothered to read)   -- at the discretion of Kathleen Sebelius, under the direction of Obama, before making the unfortunate human sacrifice of the administration.  Oh the end justifies the means, doesn't it, Kathleen.

wonderful use of no child left behind.

"I've learned so much
from my mistakes.
I think I'll make
a few more."

yup.
double downed on that one.

Why?

This -- from TIME:

Asked whether the Taliban would be inspired by the exchange to kidnap others, he laughed. “Definitely,” he says. “It’s better to kidnap one person like Bergdahl than kidnapping hundreds of useless people. It has encouraged our people. Now everybody will work hard to capture such an important bird.”

Did the president happen to think about all those left behind -- like behind behind --  like behind enemy lines behind?  The parents of all those left behind deserve their children to come home safe and sound, too.  In spite of the apparent draw down of troops with every intention to end the endless war come the end of the year -- today, we are still a nation at war, for gitmo jiminy sakes.

And what is wrong with you, Lindsay Graham?  Impeachment if he tries to do it again?  Are you for real?  How about beginning impeachment proceedings right now?  But wait a minute, don't look now, Lindsay, for you may just get that chance right quick...next up for consideration for good conduct well served, Fouzi Khalid Abdullah al-Awda.   Let the games begin.

Hope and Change...not...here's another angle:

One of the deadliest and most violent Islamic terrorist organizations is growing exponentially in Syria and Iraq, taking over large swaths of territory and turning the region into a de facto state controlled by extremists whose ultimate goal is a pro-emirate Middle East, U.S. officials told TheBlaze...

As Syria enters its fourth year of civil war with more than 162,000 casualties, there is growing concern that failure to properly address the issue has given ISIL time to establish itself, including capabilities to recruit Americans and Europeans far from its home base in the Middle East. President Barack Obama announced last month that the administration will be sending more trainers and equipment to members of the Free Syrian Army that have disavowed extremist groups.

Obama’s former ambassador to Syria, Robert Ford, has been highly critical of the policy. In an interview with PBS on Tuesday, Ford said Obama’s hesitancy to aid moderate rebel fighters in the beginning of the conflict has resulted in increased threats to the United States and a loss of allies, so much so that he can “no longer defend the policy.”

If only the situation remained remotely serious, right?

Let's go back to the beginning -- another kind of beginning, shall we?  Picture 2009.

For a recap worthy of your time, let me direct you to The Heritage Foundation.  By  and

Barack Obama's Top 10 Apologies: How the President Has Humiliated a Superpower

I know.  I hear you...what difference, at this point, does it make?  Besides, it's a lot to read.

Well,  let me tell you --
it means, we should have seen the screw up fairy coming a long, long time ago, albeit far, far away in the mind of the common man.

we are a trusting lot. aren't we now...  like sheep to the slaughter house.

Make it a Good Day, G

And you know --  some say the Bergdahl exchange occurred when it did -- and so suddenly, there was no time to get the obligatory approval from Congress -- just to distract the commoners from the VA Scandal; and that may very well be.  BUT, it also just so happens to coincide with a taking of a major holiday, by a major political/cultural commentator....Rush Limbaugh.  hmmmmm
