It's an Enigma that Keeps on Giving Thing

Dear America,

“The momentum that ISIL built up during the summer has dissipated. It continues, yes, to commit terrible crimes," said Kerry. "But it has also been forced to relinquish bases, abandon training sites, alter its mode of communications, disperse personnel, and stop the use of large convoys.”
quoting John Kerry...last November.

He went on to say, not to worry....

“Where once there was suspicion and discord, we now see the Saudi foreign minister link arms with Iraq’s Kurdish and Shia leaders. We see the government of Turkey agree to allow Kurdish fighters to cross its border and take on ISIL. We see the multi-confessional leadership of Lebanon jointly resisting armed incursions into their territory.”

...the region is working together to fight back.

Oh Really?

This is "momentum dissipated?"

This is working together?

From the Daily Beast, under a column named "Frenemies,"  Nancy Youssef highlights the current impasse between  the United States and Egypt; it comes on the heels of Egyptian airstrikes against ISIL after the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians on the shores of Libya.

Let's be a little more clear, shall we...

"We are neither condemning nor condoning” the Egyptian strikes, is all one U.S. official would tell The Daily Beast.

In other words, these once-close nations are now fighting separate campaigns against their mutual foe. And that could prove to be very good news for ISIS. The rift between U.S. and the region’s most populous country portends of another division that ISIS could exploit, this time for its expansion into northern Africa and the broader Middle East.

It's an enigma that keeps on giving.

And then, 45 Iraqi's -- some believed to be part of the security forces and their families -- were captured by ISIL and burned to death.

Thank goodness we telegraphed our immediate plans to take over Mosul -- and before the end of May, as, after that, it just becomes way too hot, and of course, there's Ramadan.

As ISIL responds to that,  almost immediately -- oh, so you wanna piece of me? -- bite me.

hmmmm wonder what they are going to do with nearly 90 Syrian Christians?

Yes, indeed, Secretary of State John Kerry -- I see it --  ISIL's momentum has totally dissipated.
And whatever we are doing, we must be doing it right, as things have totally shifted in favor of freedom and liberty all the way.
[Just taking a break there with some bona fide sarcasm.]

hmmm wonder what the president is going to say about this new news?

I mean, the news of 90 Christians being abducted came from Al Jazeera; no doubt the president respects that news organization.  [Oh, and for great fun -- go back up to "bite me" and scroll down to the comments section.  woo hoo!]

Oh my.
Yes.
G is feeling a wee bit punchy today...

"Gardening,
yoga,
bubble baths,
medication,
and I still want to smack somebody!"

With much thanks and appreciation
for this little gem
going to
Gartner Greetings, Inc.

Encapsulating a feeling in a nano-second, the humble greeting card.  Brilliant.

It's just too bad we can't just send ISIL a greeting card saying something that will mend the broken fences -- the relationship --  right?

I don't know -- a heartfelt apology perhaps...our condolences for their losses...maybe something more like a pleading, begging,  something to the effect of "crying Uncle" en masse,... please, please, make it stop...we can talk this out...grasping for just the right words to say....saying almost anything, promising to be better next time like a battered woman.

yeah, yeah

Fascinating isn't it?

If I believed in "jinxes" -- I would have to admit we jinxed ourselves the very day we gave this president of ours the Nobel Prize as the world's peacemaker. [considering it was merely two weeks into his administration when he was nominated...seriously?...]

Today --nearly every facet of peace working wondrously within society  -- foreign and domestic  -- is asunder.

Marked by:

  • brand new divides in race relations,
  • immigration policy in chaos and lack of security at the American borders,
  • the actions or inaction(s) in the Middle East -- whether between allies or enemies,
  • the upending of the finest health care system in the world,
  • the divide between the have's and the have not's, tearing apart the free-flow of free-enterprise and thwarting efforts to create wealth and security for all
  • the ongoing battle for truth and transparency centering around the many scandals under this administration,
  • the culture, religion, and traditions in America coming under attack under the guise of social justice
-- just so many things at the center of complete unrest in America.

Cue the double entendre:   It's a wonder any of us can sleep.

Make it a Good Day, G

indeed, G, too many of us are asleep.

point well taken.

thank you.

But for those of you with difficulty in the shut-eye department, you might want to try gardening, yoga, bubble baths, medication...

It's Time and It's a Good Thing

Dear America,

the more I think about it, the more I understand the measured Mitt of Monday night.

Think about it -- the polls are swinging in his direction, and in a very big way.  Don't you think he's beginning to think -- hey, I just might be the next president of these United States.

What would you do?

I believe it was so calculated, there is no other possible way to think about it.  If Mitt is elected -- every word, every intention, will precede him from this day forward.  Mitt is imagining the day when the buck really will stop at his feet and look him in the eye and say --  tag, you're it.

It took just minutes for the attacks to begin -- being on the receiving end of relentless, ridiculous, rhetoric in rapid fire, and most of it so immature, one's gotta wonder, what are you twelve?

"we have these things called
aircraft carriers,
where planes land on them..."

Mitt was the adult in the room and behaved himself accordingly; why would he even bother meeting up with this kind of idiocy with more idiocy?  Especially when it's recorded, transcribed, for all the world to hear, and read, and replay and repeat over and over an over again.  These fine words and this monumental display of oneupmanship -- of both gents -- goes into the history books.

And then, prospective foreign policy and diplomatic relations begin to take shape, almost instantly!
And then, there is also something that's called straa-te-G [say that with some snark and ya got it] -- and this goes without saying really, for it's simply good strategy to keep secrets from the enemy; keeping plans, pullouts, military movement close to the chest saves lives!

What's funny -- now that the night has had some time to marinate -- is a troubling line...And no, it has nothing to do with horses or bayonets.  It was the flippant remark declaring Romney's policies as "wrong and reckless."  And it's so good to him, he keeps repeating it.

But, which is it, Mr. President, "wrong and reckless" OR:

"You know, there have been times, Governor, frankly, during the course of this campaign, where it sounded like you thought you'd do the same things we did, but you'd say them louder and somehow that -- that would make a difference."

As childish as that sounds,  Romney maintained composure; he was intent, focused, more motivated by the bigger picture -- all he really wanted to do was come off as being nothing like the guy Obama has been painting him as, and attacking ad-infinitum, during the last few months and counting.

AND why?

Because he's not.  And fancy that, we, the people, are beginning to figure that out.

Obama was on fire yesterday -- emboldened by his debate performance and talking trash about "Romnesia."  Like he should be one to talk -- is it "wrong and reckless" or "follow the leader?"  -- is it because of a "video" or "acts of terror" or TERRORISM?-- do you believe in the way of Jesus or Mohammed?  stunning....

Let's resuscitate and go back to a Romney-ism from the night:  "attacking me is not an agenda."  Indeed.

Poor little man, Obama.... he's got nothing.  What would you do without a decent record to toot?  All he's got is a strategy based upon Alinsky's Rules for Radicals to save himself -- ridicule the opponent until they cry uncle.  And if you're Romney, you simply don't play.

And let's be clear, shall we --  we ALL KNOW that OBAMA f&*% Up on Libya.........

Emergency alerts coming out of Libya two hours into the attack prove 1) terrorists were knocking at the door and 2) they needed help.   Earlier that day, notice had already been sent from Ambassador Stevens himself, repeating his growing concern that the escalation of Islamic extremists activity required attention. And here's a good take, read this from a fellow blogspot'er, "In From the Cold".

Not only did the Obama Administration ignore calls for more security in the months leading up to the attack, Libya was neither prepared or reinforced for the anniversary of September 11th; and in the aftermath, the administration misled the nation for two weeks.    liar, liar pants on fire....and yes, I must be twelve, too.

Remember when G -- I mean, "PJ" -- linked you this?  This was DAYS ago.... !  More important, Mr. President, is your administration just incompetent or did you guys just lie to the American people?

............and I say Obama, because he said so, kinda like the buck stops with him.

Another Romney-ism from yesterday's campaign trail went something like this:  'we can take another two weeks of attacks, but what we can't have is another four more years of THIS.'

You know, it's been awhile since The 5000 Year Leap entered into the conversation.  In it, under the heading of "Visualizing America as a World Peacemaker" -- we just might get a taste of a Romney diplomatic leadership.  And before I go further, it may be entirely too presumptive of me in it's entirety -- but no bother; gonna go with it anyway...

gosh, spit it out, G...

It mentions a guy -- and former Under-Secretary of State and former ambassador of Mexico -- by the name of J. Reuben Clark Jr.  As Skousen notes, Clark, a constitutional aficionado, often spoke of America's role of being the great world peacemaker under a policy of "separatism", delineating between that and "internationalism" -- being the world's policeman.  He's also a Mormon.

Clark gave a speech just before the nation entered into World War II, hoping to influence American leaders from joining forces in another world war.  This isn't about giving a hindsight opinion after the fact; this is more of a recollection of perhaps our founders' best intentions when our country was designed.  This is a day in the life in the year of our Lord 1939 -- and it's simply beautiful...

"America, multi-raced and multi-nationed, is by tradition, by geography, by citizenry, by natural sympathy, and by material interest, the greatest neutral nation of the earth.  God so designed it.  Drawn from all races, creeds, and nations, our sympathies run to every oppressed people.  Our feelings engaged on opposite sides of great differences, will in their natural course, if held in due and proper restraint, neutralize the one [with] the other.  Directed in right channels, this great body of feeling for the one side or the other will ripen into sympathy and love for all misguided and misled fellowmen who suffer in any cause, and this sympathy and love will run out to all humanity in its woe....

...It is our solemn duty to play a better part than we can do by participating in the butchery...
...having in mind our position as the great world neutral, and remembering that the people of these warring nations have been led into this conflict largely unwittingly, and therefore, are largely blameless, we should announce our unalterable opposition to any plan to starve these innocent peoples involved in this conflict -- the women, the children, the sick, the aged, the infirm...

...If we shall rebuild our lost moral power and influence by measures such as these which will demonstrate our love for humanity, our justice, our fairmindedness...we shall then be where...we can offer mediation between the two belligerents.

America, the great neutral, will thus become the Peacemaker of the world, which is her manifest destiny if she lives the law of peace.  (quoted in the Freemen Digest, October 1978, pp 2-3, taken from  The 5000 Year Leap, W. Cleon Skousen, pp 276-278)

"IF she lives the law of peace."

Now it takes no great stretch for G to make giant leaps, piecing all the itty bitty pieces together.  And make this day no exception to the rule.  For what we have, perhaps -- in Romney -- is the greatest potential for foreign and domestic peace that we have seen in years.

Returning to a sentiment from the final moments of Monday's debate, from Mitt Romney:

"America's
going to have that kind of leadership
and continue to promote principles of peace
to make the world a safer place and make people
in this country more confident that their future
is secure...
America's
going to come back,
and for that to happen,
we're going to have to have a president
who can work across the aisle
[...I did and can do it again...]
"This nation is the hope of the earth."

I truly believe -- that he believes -- this to be true.

Barack believes in "the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one."  Read more from Investors Business Daily at Investors.com here.

Mitt talks peace -- and jobs -- a lot; and I for one, would really like to see what he can do.  It's time.

Make it a Good Day, G

Dear America,

DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE; means something different to everyone...

What is coming to light over the course of the last year -- marked by the day we elected Barack Hussein Obama to the highest privilege of our land -- is not only cause for great celebration that we have finally reached the day entrusting our dear America in the hands of the very first African-American, but a chance for pause.

Asking, what in the world have we done?

For THIS is what's called the morning after regret; this is the product of nine months later, and taking on the liberal mindset, along side the realization of this woman's right to choose -- along with everyone else -- that that opportunity has long passed and quite certainly can't help us now. The damage has been done.  The bun's been baked and burned.

All I can say is I didn't vote for the guy.  Now don't all of you "moderates" and "independents" and "libertarians" feel pretty scorched now.  Oh, it's such a sick feeling that buyer's remorse, that 'wudda shudda cudda' gut reaction -- the sinking feeling that oh, I've really done it now.

What we've got here is a failure to communicate; or is it just we can't handle the truth?

We didn't want to see the truth; we didn't want to hear the issues; we ignored the signs; we dismissed the associations and never stopped to connect the dots.

Why oh why didn't we pay attention?  How in the world could we not see it?  Did he have us that starstruck and googly-eyed?

How ironic, a warning from the first lady herself to think before we punch -- making sure we don't vote for the one with charisma just because "she's cute"; and what did we do, we voted for the handsome man who's showing enough chutzpah now to blow our America up to smithereens.

And then I got to thinking about this magic democrats hold over people -- as if they are the party to bring the masses everything it needs -- and looking around at all the people who just want that now.

That is part of the problem.  We've raised generations of people who expect it, want it, and feel entitled to it for far more reasons than I can count -- and for what?  Where has it really taken the poor, the minority, the addicted, or the lost soul?  Where?

What I also find disingenuous, is how can the Democratic Party continue to point fingers to the religious conservatives as evil and radical -- and continually use these extremes as a platform against the GOP -- and get away with it?  There is such a huge disconnect; somehow even though the majority of Americans truly believe that the truth shall set you free, that we live a life in faith, and deep down stand unafraid because of our religions, too  -- we have somehow created a divide between Americans.  And for what?

Don't Democrats go to church too?  Don't moderates and liberals and independents and libertarians all go to church?  YES, they do (well, not all of them but you know what I mean).  Why do the Republicans get smacked in the face with this massive label that is perceived as weird, radical, God-fearing Americans -- when the truth is, we are pretty much all the same?

The Democratic Party wants to hypocritically cast our faith as illegitimate in an effort to benchmark their holier than thou people's liberation to choose -- to abort -- to live a life wayward and lost as if unbeliever's themselves -- in order for the party to win over the masses as the party who saves.  Really?

A divided people are quite certainly broken -- as surely we lack the cohesiveness and inner strength. We need the government to save us and bring us health care and welfare -- and the more fanfare about it the better.  It just convinces us that much more, see, that the government really does care, and they really can come in a take over our lives and take care of us...as look, over there:

  • they bring us medicare and medicaid -- Established in 1965...44 years later, and how are they doing...broke.   Truth is, it is actually below broke, for how else do you describe running deficits every year and getting away with it?
  • they bring us homes to live in, thank you Fannie Mae (1938) and since it worked so well the first time, added Freddie Mac (1970)...that's right, albeit home's we couldn't afford in the first place, and leveraging bad loans on the resale market to the point of no return; insuring that the entire banking and credit market go boom.
  • they even bring us retirement in social security, for all those hard earned dollars we've put into the system from our jobs over the decades.  Established in 1935... after 74 years, and for the record, broke...I'm not sure what you call it, robbing Peter right now to pay Paul?  Give it up Uncle Sam.  I've already worked it out, my retirement will be renting the back room of an am/pm and working the night shift, what's yours?
While here's a different angle:

Louisiana Senator,
Mary Landrieu (D)

Is presently asking Congress for 250 BILLION DOLLARS to rebuild New Orleans .

Interesting number...What does it mean?

A.  Well ... If you are one of the 484,674 residents of New  Orleans (every man, woman, and child)
You each get $516,528.
B.  Or... If you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

C.  Or... If you are a family of four...Your family gets $2,066,012.

Both sets of examples I was gifted yesterday in my Gmail box; a very big shout out to my Auntie Emm and her son-in-law, Jake -- who both have it going on and seem to be doing a bang up job spreading the wealth of perception interruption.  G THANKS YOU for being my muse today xxxxxx

But whattup?  Communication and perception is everything; and it is really important right now to stay on top of the message.  Find out who says it, why they say it -- ask what's in it for them -- or what they want from me or from our dear girl, America, to make it happen?  What does the message take our attention away from  -- truth or lies?  What does the message actually create -- division or unity?

Where has this welfare state, this sense of entitlement, this expectation of our government to take care of those who are better off taking care of ourselves taken us after all these years, and more importantly, along with our hard earned money?  Absolutely no where, and then again...

My view is that everyone is better than we were in the sixties-- since the civil rights movement that is.  It's not rhetoric, it's the truth -- just look around.  You see anyone confined to the back of the bus?  Do you see anyone not being served or having to use a separate bathroom?  Do we separate school children anymore?

All people who want jobs, who want an education, who want to be a productive part of society -- not a product of society -- can make it.  There is no doubt in my mind that this comes forty years later -- after a huge breakdown in communication and loss of trust and life -- the reality that we are better today than we were yesterday.

Obama proves it.  Condoleezza Rice proves it.  Colin Powell proves it.  Thomas Sowell proves it.  Juan Williams proves it.  Star Parker proves it.  O.J. Simpson proves it (in a very backwards way) Rodney King proves it (easy there, do your background check).  Alveda King (niece to MLK, might surprise you) proves it.  Shall I could go on...Oprah!

As a party with major momentum on it's side, the GOP needs to think and rethink how it communicates the message.

We should be the party of true American liberation, and freedom for all -- as that was just what our dear Lincoln did in the sixties of the eighteen hundreds.  It would be a hundred years later before it was tested again -- but from the sixties, no matter what century you look at, we arose as a better people for it.  We were the party then -- and should be the party now.

The problem now resides in the fall from favor in the eyes of people of color, and perhaps poor people of any color -- as they have been used by the unions and politicians, their bosses and their brothers, drug lords and absentee fathers.  They have been used up and sit disillusioned, while believing with their whole heart that this young, hip, really cool President has all the answers to their prayers.

Whether we are born a poor black child or a descendant of white and wealth, all of us share the same country -- with the same hopes and dreams.

So if the GOP is the party of religious fanatics, isn't this where we use it to our benefit?  Why not team up and partner with each other from one church to another?  Why can't we pair up, in the secrecy of the dark of night if we have to, and link white folk to black folk via the word of God and faith?

Why can't we pull a g thang -- and go a little gangsta  -- and connect people who have the commonality of belief in times where it tests our faith?  One church at a time...one congregation to another...uniting people in love and kindness, stretching out to real needs of a community or neighborhood, lifting people up as one follower at at time to another.

Community organizers anyone?

If anyone asks, deny it -- just as our current administration gets away with everything.  What, what Czar?  Who, what organization?  Where, what about New Jersey?  You get my drift.

We have seen what grassroots does; we just need it to be of favor to the side of a limited government, not an unlimited bureaucracy and catastrophe waiting to happen.

We can teach our children well -- whether red or yellow, black or white -- Jesus loves the children in his sight.  Perhaps starting at a place which launches our weeks ahead, on Sundays, is where we need to be.

The Democrats have not brought salvation to the poor and downtrodden -- and have no intention of ever doing so -- otherwise they lose control, and without control, they don't have the power to control our lives.

Now just what will it take to get us from here and into the hearts of those who really belong to us in the first place  -- as truth is, they've just been taken for a ride.

I say the story of creation wins over Darwin every time; it's just a matter of perception and how it equates to creating a new reality and quite certainly a new dialogue between us. The paradigm needs to be tweaked and shifted to the side where it belongs -- the right -- the true believers who have the ability to lift ourselves up without government assistance; for anything other than that is purely misguided allegiances.

From the words of our President:
"I stand here today humbled by the task before us,
grateful for the trust you have bestowed,
mindful of sacrifices borne of our ancestors...
At these moments
America has carried on not simply because of the skill
or vision of those in high office, but
because We the People have remained faithful
to the ideals of our forefathers,
and true to our founding documents...
In reaffirming the greatness of our nation,
we understand that greatness is never a given.
It must be earned...
This is the price and the promise
of citizenship.
This is the source of our confidence --
the knowledge that God calls on us
to shape an uncertain destiny...
Let it be said by our children's children
that when we were tested,
we refused to let the journey end,
that we did not turn back, nor did we falter;
and with eyes fixed on the horizon
and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift
of freedom
and delivered it safely
to future generations."

Interesting -- but okay, whatever you say, you're the boss, you're the big guy, if you say so...Actually, if it weren't for the last nine months, I'd be all over it.  Beautiful words.  Simply couldn't have said it better myself.  And yet,

I'm confused, is he not walking his talk, or is it just me -- where did this President wander off to?

Those words were spoken this day, January 20, 2009, within his Inaugural Address to the nation.  Of course, same day he also swore upon Lincoln's bible to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" --
and look at us now.

We are the creators of our future -- with a little help from the big guy (not him, the other One).

May God bless you today,
May His light shine upon you and give you peace,

Make it a good day, G

Friday, October 9, 2009

Dear America,

Thank God It's Friday.

This has been a rough week for G -- actually the last couple have been shaky -- but who's counting. I keep trying to find the silver lining. I keep trying to look on high and believe that everything happening right now is just part of the plan and no accident.

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." Galatians 6:9

There is a time for every season under heaven.

As circumstance would have it, I had a few hours spent in an emergency room yesterday; and came away with the thought that everyone should do that at least once in their life, voluntarily and without due cause of course, just to observe.

First, it wasn't like I was in downtown Chicago; I was in an upper middle class region of La Jolla, California at Scripps Memorial. There was a steady stream of activity ranging from a stroke to a dog bite, including an accident that happened while on hospital property.

This sweet old man was coming to the hospital for a checkup with his doctor, when after his wife dropped him off at the curb, she looked back in her rear view mirror and watched him fall over backwards and hit his head; Eavesdropping, I overheard he was born in 1918! They checked in rather quickly showing their insurance and proceeded to be seen almost immediately; I'm sure the liability occurring on hospital grounds had nothing to do with it.

But I must say, there was just something in the way this man looked, dwarfed within the arms of the wheel chair.  I'm not sure what it was.  He was a very tiny man -- frail -- with tufts of white hair slicked back and a pair of glasses that appeared to have swallowed up his face. Perhaps it was in their accent --sounding Hungarian or something -- I quickly pictured a 120 minute Hollywood movie play out in my head, imagining a war torn history, leaving a homeland, coming to America, and finding peace, not to mention a new home.

Really, I did.

For awhile, it seemed like everybody was coming in at once; I thought, how in the world do they do this 24 hours a day, every day of the week? But even in an emergency room -- at the risk of sounding flip -- there is a time to be born and a time to die, a time for peace and a time for "stat", in any given moment of the day.

Interestingly enough, and you would have to know I would be getting around to this, by my calculations of who I saw getting checked in (as many just went straight to ICU or behind closed doors), I saw two people without insurance seeking immediate help -- and they got it.

Both were "foreigners". One guy who could barely speak English, was returning to the emergency room from two weeks prior having had received care to a wound, and needed to have the staples removed. As it turned out, he was actually in the wrong place; he just had trouble in the translation and direction as to where to return to for follow up.  Eventually, the gal behind the counter figured it all out and a lo largo del camino se fue...or along the way he went.

The other guy was a bit more disturbing.  He looked utterly homeless.  Scraggly, greasy hair with a knit beanie on his head (72 degrees with blue skies outside).  A goatee.  Leather bracelets and chains.  A necklace adorned with an assortment of keys and tags.  NO SHOES (so gross).  And all along the inner portion of his left leg was a wound from the knee down -- the leg appeared doubled in size by comparison to his right -- oozing in blood, organic liquid of another sort, and just plain looked disgusting.  The guy was practically dragging the leg in tow as if he already lost feeling in it.  Ugh.

He wasn't from the area.  He said he was from Portugal with the conversation continuing a little something like this ... aah and when did you come here, sir?...replying with twenty years ago...(huh? yeah, I didn't get it either, but let's move on).  He didn't have any information with him, couldn't remember the address of friends he was currently living with and kept having to leave his paperwork and come back for one reason or another.  Had to go outside. Had to use the rest room.  I tell you, it was sad, kind of creepy and heart wrenching to watch the whole thing.

This was the dog bite victim.  It happened a couple weeks ago, and everything was fine according to this poor guy until about the last five days. Now, he certainly needed help; while I would be surprised if he actually still had the leg this morning. It was pretty narly.

From my experience yesterday, I came away recognizing sometimes we never know what the future brings.  One day, we may find ourselves healthy and happy, while the next our world comes crashing down around us without warning.  If only there was an emergency room for everything, right?  The reality is, times have a way of testing us, and testing our faith, and even going so far as testing the very humanity of mankind.

You know how I've been talking about the new show Flash Forward on ABC; well, it didn't fail me again last night.   A touching scene was during the eulogy of a team of FBI agents who lost their lives on this now infamous day when the entire world blacked out at the same time.  The leader of the bunch, played by Courtney B. Vance, makes this beautiful observation:  "we are all prophets now" and continues his remarks saying "I can't think of a prophet worth a damn that didn't suffer. I also can't think of a prophet that God didn't love".

Isn't that stunning.  Everyone on the planet, who was watching of course,  heard the very same words as I did, at the same time.  Yup, that's how my mind works, can you dig it?

I wonder, how often do we slip into thinking about the same thoughts, the same fears, the same hopes, and the same dreams for America?  How often do we wonder, when is our season of peace and understanding coming? And just how many of us think it at exactly the same time?

There is something to be said for what is called "race consciousness."  It is a term having nothing to do with the color of our skin or any one's actual race at all; it is defined by the prevailing beliefs or consciousness of an entire group of people, or an entire culture, or country or continent.  It lumps together the common thought happening over the entire body, all at the same time.

Basically, it is seen and recognized by way of the power of suggestion of a thought transferring from one person to another; that to say that it is subjective, manipulative and quite powerful in it's ability to influence our own mind, would be an understatement

All forms of media, and for that matter, anyone in the public eye, have a way with shape shifting perceptions and opinions of what happens all around us everyday.  Sometimes, I think, just by way of how something is portrayed, we gather up our opinions all together, as if the power of suggestion is so strong, we cannot find the strength to be our own prophet; hindering our ability to be truly objective.

We mindlessly attract a thought that's really not our own, all by accident.

Today, to keep up with the day in the life of America, our President was given a prestigious award --the Nobel Peace Prize.  Oh sure, some say premature; I will not toss in my two cents today on whether or not he is worthy just yet.  What I will look at though is the idea behind most of what I read this morning surrounding this remarkable feat in less than a year -- and that being the clear cut evidence that the race consciousness of the world has changed.  In every attempt to ring true that there is a time for every season, America has a new found perception unto the world, hence the honor to the President responsible.

But what's more captivating in the age of treason we're in (ooh did she really say that), is this uncanny way that this young President continues to woo the world and do so in spite of having not actually done anything; it is based solely on his "potential" to bring peace to the world.  It is in recognition of Obama's sorcerer's hand in creating "a new climate of international politics".  Basically, Obama has done a tremendous job talking up a storm about peace and bringing the world together, apologizing for Bush our past mistakes, and looking ahead to a brighter future; even though we haven't actually seen it come to fruition (yet).

But yes, there is a time for every season and a purpose under heaven, and this just so happens to be a display of simply the unwavering hope in the world's latest prophet to make the world a better place by giving peace a chance; and with such a high honor bestowed upon him, how can all the world, and all of America too, not think anything else but, for it surely becomes a matter of the power of suggestion breeding and perpetuating unto the race consciousness  itself, like wind to a fire, or a broom to a bucket of water (you would get that if you clicked into the mickey clip above).

So, here we are.  I hope the time for peace is coming, just as the next girl.  I hope the time for healing can come to everyone.  I also know there is a time for everything unto heaven:
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven;
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and  a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to throw away,
a time to keep and a time to give up,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Peace out, G

Question is, having been awarded the prince of peace, how difficult will it be issuing more troops to Afghanistan?  What does the world know that we don't know?

Timing is everything.
