It's I don't care what you say CNN, Rock On, BEN! Thing

Dear America,

just wish CNN was half as interested in vetting a candidate Barack Hussein Obama, back in 2007, as they are with one of the republican front-runners, Ben Carson...after eluding to Carson's extensive fabrication of a somewhat violent past in a recent journalistic hit piece.

Now little old g spent many moons, here, in my Diary of America, investigating Obama's questionable associations (Frank Marshall Davis -- take that! for a link into controversy... or  this one, Reverend Wright...) and the Communist/Marxist family background -- on both sides of his family, mind you.  OF course, given the birth of G dates back to summer of 2009, all of my searches and finds and story telling unfortunately came after the fact -- after the country was diabolically mesmerized of the notion of the first black president taking the oval office in hopes of all kinds of wonderful things in our future; all 300 million of us carried a different dream on our backs, but mostly in our hearts, of a new age.   As if.

And it's not like any of it has been old news -- or as if any of it went away either.   Just yesterday, one of my favorite places on the WWW, The Patriot Post, Mark Alexander came out with this post ....HERE...in which he also reminded us of a post from way way way back in '08....HERE.

And where was CNN then? Or better still -- NOW?    

Where is CNN doing it's great investigative journalism in wondering just where we all went wrong under Obama?  Or better still,  where is CNN questioning Hillary on her questionable past, perhaps telling a fib or two?  Really, now -- questioning ALL of her stories might take a decade just to corral the bevy of  unbridled lawlessness, let alone unearth the number of lies (that being, UN-truths, just to be clear).

But back to Barack:

The economy has never bounced back -- the world is coming apart at the seams, Al Queda is not the JV team, ISIS is committing crimes against humanity from sea to shining sea and from heaven to earth, IRAN still believes in Death to America -- the Obamacare exchanges are turning into billion dollar fraud schemes and have turned one-sixth of this nation's economy into a cesspool of bureaucratic mumbo-jumbo and in spite of it all, we still have millions uninsured -- race relations have deteriorated, and have metastasized into a groundswell of hate crimes against law enforcement -- the cost of simply living, as in electricity will in fact "necessarily skyrocket..."  and the cost of basic food and goods and services have soared, while over 93 million Americans are not even in the labor force!

We could go on and on -- 

The thing is, long before day one of this administration,  THIS  president, and this first lady, have been nothing but perfectly clear.     

Their malicious intent was to change America forever because they simply hate America for which she stands. [Whatever...go ahead and hate me...it's just true.]  

• America's traditions would have to change.
• Holidays would have to change.
• All of the inequalities of America's racist past would have to change and be course corrected, beginning with the return of the bust of Winston Churchill...
• Foreign affairs would have to change -- beginning with making our enemies welcome associations, while our allies would become nothing more than chess pieces in the re-organization of a new world order.
• All the while -- new energy policy, new immigration policy (more like domestic invasion), new education indoctrination policy, new domestic terrorist policy -- would all became immediate targets via Executive Order or by simply writing a new government regulation, coming in conjunction with a brand new bureaucracy of officials to make it so [See RED Tape Rising, at The Heritage Foundation, HERE]

No longer in the cover of night, what we have here is TYRANNY, as in one side takes ALL, and CNN isn't saying a word -- except, oh how 'bout that Ben Carson over there telling stories about a shady childhood and we can't find anyone from fifth grade to verify it.

And the left wonders why the panel of leftist attacks, along with the innumerable and unprofessional interruptions featured during the last CNBC debate didn't go over well?  Can The Right  actually get a question without the ideological zinger thrown in, or at least without the inherent condemnation?

Which reminds me of something else I read just yesterday on The Hill that made me roll all the way down the stream laughing,  It's from Brent Budowsky, and reads like so -- Sanders Trouncing Trump, Media Ignores. 

First off, Brent, The Left side, the establishment, wants Hillary; that shouldn't be a surprise. [Well, if we are really being truthful, the left establishment doesn't really want Hillary -- it simply gets down to the law of pay back -- it's just her time.  The Left owes it to her.]

Second, Brent -- loved this part! --

My view of Trump is similar to my view of Matt Drudge, who is the most powerful influencer in modern media history when it comes to what is covered by the news business. Drudge towers over the media like a colossus. News leaders read The Drudge Report like Talmudic scholars poring over ancient scrolls. News stories blessed by Drudge flow like mighty rivers from his keyboard to television screens and daily newspapers in living rooms across the nation. 

As a liberal Democrat, I am overwhelmed (honestly) by the green monster of jealousy that President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Democrats have never figured out that they should assemble their Democratic super-donors to finance ventures to challenge the literal monopoly of news aggregation power that Drudge — who is never accused of liberal bias — has achieved for what he does so brilliantly.

Are you for real?

Is it not enough to have the Liberal bias simply everywhere -- on the net, on TV, including in the everyday conversation in schools -- are you kidding me?  Are you that blind, deaf,  or dumb?  What -- because conservatives have a nice neat little list to go to every day, you think the Left sits at a disadvantage? Are you f$@&& kidding me??!??! 

...yeah because places like the Huffington Post, and Yahoo, in the mainstream, is just not enough...

.... the liberal dialog quoted daily by the likes of really cool people like Facebook's Zuckerberg or Sandberg or turned into a funny comedic rant by Jon Stewart,  all with the liberalism persuasion being magnified and multiplied and re-directed a top priority daily through the Google machine is simply not enough... 

....to the powerhouses of the big three -- ABC, CBS, NBC -- finally experiencing a wee bit of competition with the rise of Fox News is not enough.....

...As if -- as if George Soros doesn't sit behind a curtain all the live long day masterminding the propaganda and bank rolling a fundamental transformation through think tanks and liberal websites, complete with the wealth of liberal elites in Media, Hollywood, and Government at his beckon call...is never enough.

yeah, Brent.  I feel for you.  You should be jealous of the likes of Drudge.  How crazy powerful Matt Drudge must be against the army of millions in liberal media available 24/7 and dominating the voice of America for so long.

The liberal hypocrisy of CNN is what began the day, but it's the liberal ideology the rues the day in America.   And it sure ain't your grand-pappy's liberal ideology no more, no more; no sir ree bob.  It's so far left they simply want to abolish all other thought!  It's so far left, they want to censor any and all opposition.    It's so far left it has turned into a tyrannical, totalitarian subversion of the American Dream, turning us inside out and upside down without CNN, or any one else on The Left for that matter, so much as blinking an eye.

It's About the Equity Theory of Motivation Thing

Alexis de Tocqueville Predicted the Tyranny of the Majority in Our Modern World

Arthur Milikh does a superb job breaking down a few of   deTocqueville's observations and words of warning from his book, "Democracy in America"   -- while he also reminds us just how long ago it was written! In  1831!   Just how in the world could he have ever known?   

Incredible, really, this grasp of human nature, characterizing "the new breed of democratic despotism" which would one day be ultimately, totally, controllable  --  shaped by political correctness, with help from mass media and propaganda, either by a slow nudge by nudge or by force, taking full advantage of the gut wrenching fear to speak out against the popular opinion... as Milikh explains:

That is, the majority reaches into citizens’ minds and hearts. It breaks citizens’ will to resist, to question its authority, and to think for themselves. The majority’s moral power makes individuals internally ashamed to contradict it, which in effect silences them, and this silencing culminates in a cessation of thinking. We see this happen almost daily: to stand against the majority is to ruin yourself.

Thank you, Milikh, for the cliff notes on a classic, but with all due respect while revisiting our summer to-do list, the real read is really "Democracy in America"  --  for within we apparently find such a gem as this:

“remember constantly that a nation cannot long remain strong when each man in it is individually weak, and that neither social forms nor political schemes have yet been found that can make a people energetic by composing it of pusillanimous and soft citizens.”

Oh and did I say cliff?  Perhaps the metaphor fits.  Perhaps America is on the precipice of a very long fall.

For there it is, right in front of us -- if not also our friends, neighbors, entire communities --  the unimaginable growth of a certain demographic:  the individually weak.

Now I love to find examples of people who go against the prevailing wind of the overwhelming majority, and to that end and to my surprise, Salon.com and Camille Paglia join together in the production of a rather fascinating interview.    

Of course, being hardly aligned in her liberal, atheist, experience and world view, please don't misconstrue --  it doesn't change a thing for me other than this;  I find Camille's honesty and candidness and fearlessness such a breath of fresh air.   Especially when she says things like this:

"The resistance of liberals in the media to new ideas was enormous. Liberals think of themselves as very open-minded, but that’s simply not true!  Liberalism has sadly become a knee-jerk ideology, with people barricaded in their comfortable little cells. They think that their views are the only rational ones, and everyone else is not only evil but financed by the Koch brothers.  It’s so simplistic!"

Long lauded for her intellectual prowess, who would dare say anything against such a cultural icon, right?   I mean, c'mon, it's Camille Paglia!   [ooh, and happen to love this part, too --  speaking of Jon Stewart, no less, Camille says:  "I cannot stand that smug, snarky, superior tone. I hated the fact that young people were getting their news through that filter of sophomoric snark."]   Can I get an amen to the guest atheist in the house?

The thing is --

in America --

we should all fear becoming one note.

We should all fear social engineering and policy making by facebook, twitter and hash tags.

We should all fear the day we not only stop thinking for ourselves, but with vitriol and brimstone put the fear of God in the hearts and minds of  those who think against the blue tide, the majority ruling class with a smug, sophomoric, tyrannical force, silencing any and all brave opposition, large and small.

We should all fear the day we march to the same beat, crushing the radical thought that breaks away from the popular rhythm according to the law of mass appeal.

We should all fear the day we become one with an often alienating and off-putting "smug, snarky, superior tone."

So here's some Left-stream narratives that seem to run counter-productive to the betterment of the whole to consider, thereby calling upon common sense and individual will to overcome --

• #BlackLivesMatter...um, no, ALL lives matter.   But -- if you want to talk about just the BLACK lives, let's.   What about the black lives in the inner-cities, like Chicago?   Where is the outrage within the community about black on black crime?    And heck, if  black lives matter, how then could anyone within the black community abort their own black baby?  
• #CeciltheLion outrage  turns into # kill the doctor.   Oh okay, that makes a whole lot of sense.   Certainly, Cecil was a gorgeous creature and a legend in his protected habitat, but let's circle back to the hunt in America, shall we?    Enough with the hypocrisy, human lives are lost everyday on our city streets, hunted down in gang violence!  Where is the equally passionate outrage for loss of human life!????

Oh enough with the hash tags!

Newsflash, everything is becoming a politically motivated argument and it is crushing America's true liberty and freedom for all as it simply destroys our Rule of Law by Republic, not to mention a fair portion of our Bill of Rights.

We do not all agree about same-sex marriage --   and the conflict is rooted in something far greater and far deeper than what is paraded in the news; it has nothing to do with being gay.   And it is not up for a Supreme Court of nine judges to decide...

We do not all agree about abortion -- and especially that bit about being partially funded by taxpayers, whether we are discussing partial birth to the birth and salvage of body parts of a 24 week old baby!  See The Patriot Post for more on that.  Or maybe, don't...you have been warned.

We do not all agree about the wide open border and the unconscionable growth of illegal immigrants by Executive Order, usurping the lawful immigration policy and regulations on the books.

AND We certainly do not agree about Left's man-made climate change fraud for pete's fucking sake! [sorry, g thing lost her cool there for a minute...]

We do not all agree on a $15/hour living wage that works against the economic freedoms of a true capitalist, free enterprise economy  -- one that leaves the laws of supply and demand fully in tact, allowing for the market to dictate the proper relationship of production and cost, employee and employer, customer and sale, in proportion, thus protecting the possibility for ample growth and profit all the way around.  

Check out the travesty of Gravity Payments in Seattle on this...um, what,“He gave raises to people who have the least skills and are the least equipped to do the job, and the ones who were taking on the most didn’t get much of a bump." 

oh really now?  And it's not working out?

And you know what they say:  what goes up ---- un-tethered in reality and purely manufactured out of thin air -- must come down.

David Burkus, who wrote the post for Forbes, cites a theory to explain this disgruntled employee conundrum, made famous by J. Stacey Adams in the sixties; it's something called the "equity theory of motivation."  Now, for another surprise, he sends the reader to a Wikipedia page to explain it.  ???But whatever; whatever gets it done, right, let's not hate.

The theory goes something like this:

According to equity theory, individuals are constantly calculating a ratio of their inputs (time, effort, skills, experience, etc.) to the outputs the organization gives them (salary, benefits, recognition, security, etc.). When their ratio appears equitable to that of their coworkers, the organization runs smoothly. When the comparisons are out of whack, that’s when demotivation and strife set in.

Thus people, long story short, we finally arrive at the main thing on this day. 

Not only do we not agree on many, many things these days -- we have an "equity theory of motivation" setting into our daily landscape en masse.   For the poorly thinking majority is making some grave errors while supposedly speaking for the whole -- or at least, speaking the loudest, the smuggest, the snarkiest anyway.

The BENEFITS are increasing for the uneducated, uninformed, unlawful, illegal, unproductive, unincorporated, un-assimilated, the smug and the snarky, and just out and out individually weak of our citizenry upon the shoulders of the educated, informed, lawful, legal, productive, incorporated, assimilated and just simply out and out individually strong of our citizenry,  We're losing our integrity along with our equity.

And Alexis de Tocqueville saw it coming over two hundred years ago; as tyranny reigns, liberty is almost becoming a no show. 

We are out of balance; the exchange of goods and services, costs and rewards, is breaking America's back as the "equity theory of motivation"  shapes our response to the nation's evolution by majority rule.

It's a Fundamental Duty Thing

Dear America,

happy thursday.

sometimes I feel like a chicken with her head cut off...I turn around sometimes and feel like I have lost days, sometimes even entire weeks, jumping from one thing to do to the next.  And sometimes, even taking on Other People's Things To Do, totally believing I am helping, not harming.  This is especially in reference to my girl -- and more specifically, her things.

But I've realized something.   Sometimes this Type A, highly overzealous activity, may serve as a disservice to the both of us.   She doesn't learn how to "multi-task," nor does she begin to recognize how the everyday tasks -- the ones that  maintain order all around her -- magically get done.   And the other side of this, of course, is that I just get too damn tired.  And with that, it begins to show in the quality of work of the things I DO...and let's  face it, G gets a wee bit cranky.

The truth is, she is getting older.   She is actually dangerously close to experiencing for the first time being away from home.  What does this mean?  She can begin to see more into the actions taken by the mysterious little fairy that bounces into her world to do her laundry, vacuum her room, clean the girl's room, shop for groceries, and pull together an array of meals every single day of the week, including Sundays.   And not only see it, but DO it. 

Over time, her responsibilities can adapt to her level of rising maturity; this kind of compound interest, shaping her growing and impressionable young mind, helps her grow more independent.  It's a slow, methodical process taking advantage of all the tools available -- concerned and engaged parents, school, athletics, technology and communication, one's faith, all working in concert with one another....kind of like a village, but not really. 

The thing is, it really doesn't take a village.  It takes a good family.

From John Locke's Second Essay Concerning Civil Government, we gain incite as to how this idea applies to the framework of early America:

"The power, then, that parents have over their children arises from that duty which is incumbent on them, to take care of their offspring during the imperfect state of childhood.  To inform their mind, and govern the actions of their yet ignorant nonage, till reason shall take its place and ease them of that trouble, is what the children want, and the parents are bound to [provide]."

and goes on to add:

"When he has acquired that state [of maturity], he is presumed to know how far that law is to be his guide, and how far he may make use of his freedom, and so comes to have it; till then, somebody else must guide him, who is presumed to know how far the law allows a liberty...Till then, we see the law allows the son to have no will, but he is to be guided by the will of his father or guardian, who is to understand for him..."

We are about to dramatically alter our second amendment rights by Executive Order.

What we are watching right now -- in Washington -- is Biden, and Congressmen, and even our president, scrambling around in an area it doesn't belong.    Chickens with their heads cut off -- dropping everything and jumping into the confiscation of guns, ammo, and an everyday right for everyday citizens of everyday America.  

Bureaucratic energies...all going to the wrong place. 

Misguided for all the right reasons (as it appears to be), they are in the midst of providing a great disservice to the American people, as well to themselves.

More gun control is not going to fix our problem; that simply takes the responsibility of understanding the law and the task and how it works out of the hands of good citizens, and thereby protecting the unlawful use of the law and the task and how it works safely into the liberty of bad citizens.

We have more gun violence upon innocents because we have more crazy people raising crazy people; we have more abandonment of parental responsibility to raise children into healthy, law abiding, thoughtful adults; we have more mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse,  and the like, directly affecting the welfare of entire communities and surviving without the proper resources or attention.

It's a fundamental duty as parents to be fully responsible to our duty as a parent! for the good of our own children and to the community we are surrounded.  I don't even care if that sounds like I was being redundant.  It's called having a lot of duty going around.  Crazy town duty.

But our society has grown so rampantly dysfunctional, we consider it to be totally normal.

And what do we do?  We respond, we overreact like fool's rushing in to solve the symptom, not the cause.  How do we immediately make a course correction on the fly?  We take away personal responsibility, self-reliance, accountability, and duty; our knee jerk, chicken-footed, reaction looks like we take away an everyday liberty from all of us.

Yes.  Tragedy happened in Sandy Hook.    Unspeakable, unimaginable, unconscionable, tragedy. 

But today, it feels like the entire nation is running around with it's head cut off.

This is a fascinating twist, go here.   Who knew, right?  Surely, we hate the law, Obamacare, but gotta love that news!   But the greater truth is -- we knew this attack on "the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed" was coming from the Left.  It was just waiting for the crisis to appear.

We have more to talk about; but we will have to save it for another day; G has things to do...

... need to leave a little love note for my girl, outlining just a couple things for her to add to her list of things to do today.   [joy to the world...]

Just between you and me, let me leave things on this note:   Duty never sleeps as a parent, as Allstate, and as a citizen of these fine United States.  This much is true today as it was yesterday, just as it ever was two hundred years ago; and this duty never, ever goes away...even when they go away to college...even when 'the collective' gangs up upon the individual, using bully tactics to fundamentally transform everything this country is good for.
