It's of Truth AND Consequences Thing

Dear America,

"Obey God
 and leave all
 the consequences
to Him."

Charles F. Stanley
Life Principle #2

can I get a witness...

given a lifetime of making moves -- wrong or right, up, down and sideways -- the voice inside my head is continually questioning my direction, my moments - if you will, from one to the next.

And what I've come to believe, as I make my way improving upon my connection with Spirit, with God ----- the more I look to this Almighty and Everlasting Resource BEFORE making my move, the better it all seems to be for everyone...

Now, when this girl thinks of consequences, it's funny how my immediate imaginations run deep and downward -- as in, something negative; consequences can never be good...

...envisioning things like ramifications, repercussions, the stuff resulting in the aftermath.

And yet, truly as I say to you, as I give all the glory to someone other than myself -- the fine Reverend Charles F. Stanley -- he knows a thing or two about that mysterious correlation and relationship between ourselves and this Big, Mighty Universe in which we live and the God who MADE it.  [how 'bout them consequences, eh?]

The more we obey -- honor -- that which aligns with all that is Good, all that is God, the better the consequences.  And don't hate, for that is just a fact.

On Wednesday, Nancy Pelosi did a terrible job angling to articulate this connection -- this soulful, righteous, self-less side of our Judeo-Christian roots --  when making her moves on the House floor (for something like eight hours...oy).  She was calling upon precepts of a certain faith, in the macro and in the general, in order to fight for legislation that ensures the safety and protections of non-Americans  (those who choose to break our law ...and consequently....become illegal immigrants, as opposed to going through the proper channels through legal immigration).

"The bishops go on to say, 'The church has recognized and proclaimed the need to welcome young people. Whoever welcomes one of these children in my name welcomes me. And whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me. Mark 9:37.' That's so beautiful, because what they are saying is, when you reject these newcomers, you are rejecting those who sent them," the congresswoman said.

and not to be outdone, is when she retold the story of her grandson wishing he had brown eyes and brown skin, like his friend....Antonio...from Guatemala...good one.

[which is only reminding me of the time my mama recalled the story of yours truly, wishing to be black.  true story. I was three...]

It's fine, Nancy -- if you wish to basically force your own California constituents to deal with the ongoing onslaught of unintended consequences of open borders, sanctuary cities, and all the while ignoring the growing concerns of actual Americans -- the other people -- those getting trampled under the stampede of political correctness, the leftist agenda, all for the sake of building a political base of voters who continue to pave the way in the golden state with democratic idiots, I mean, leadership, like you, to stay in power, indefinitely.

See also San Francisco's Mass Exodus report...surely, modern day prophesy meeting face to face with the reality world of unintended consequences.

On a whole 'nother tangent -- it is interesting that the former Speaker of the House is tying her own personal faith, Catholicism, with this agenda (illegal immigration) and not others... as in, not so with one of the biggies, like abortion.  See this post from Craig Bannister at CNS News.  So Nancy, why here, why now; why this and not that?

But more importantly, Pelosi must know in all her years following "The Word" (as she often calls it), that this very moment begs the occasion to call upon Ephesians 2:8-10 --

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift from God -- not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
So even there, God calls upon all of humanity to fall in line with the idea of doing the right thing, the right action, aka the "good works" because it is just the right thing to do!  People are not saved by the number of good works we do, "so that no one can boast" (...or profit from it, right?)   God only asks of us to be humble servants.  God just wants us to do the good, because that is what is truly good for all of us.

We are not saved by our works, we are saved by our faith in God above all else, in good times and in bad, for better or worse, in the ups, downs and all the sideways we go living this life.

....By following the rules, following the law, don't you see?  Nobody gets hurt.

All of this works according to Nature's Law, natural law, as our very own founders designed.  Our founders aligned the nation from birth with something NOT of this world, but of a Higher Purpose under Heaven.  Seeking guidance from the Almighty, invoking the spirit of God while forming a more perfect Union, was made the cornerstone, framing the foundation, that led to the peace that passes all understanding in everything --  and it was INTENDED to be passed down from one generation to the next.

Our form of government -- this REPUBLIC -- became not only the light of the world, modeling freedom and liberty and rights and duties for all the world to emulate, but the exception!  Up until 1787 -- with the birth of our Constitution --  no land, no country, no nation did what America did. (Hence, these consequences...everyone from around the world wanting to flock here, wishing to live here, no matter color or creed)

The founders recognized the consequences of a life honoring and obeying God, and Divine Providence took it from there.

You are right, Nancy Pelosi -- peace and harmony naturally prevails when we do good things, when we love our neighbor as ourselves, when we honor our father and mother...whenever we strive to do the good works like the Good Book speaks of.

The illegal immigrant bears the same individual responsibility, to abide, as any other human being on earth; obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.  Pretty sure it will all work out for the better if this is done by each and every one of us, just sayin'.

From one of my favorite books in the whole wide world, The 5000 Year Leap, in the olden days -- Benjamin Franklin spoke of the Five Fundamentals of ALL sound religion, and that this understanding should be taught, specifically to our children:

"Here is my creed:  I believe in one God, the Creator of the universe.  That he governs if by his providence.  That he ought to be worshipped.  That the most acceptable service we render to him is in doing good to his other children.  That the soul of man is immortal, and will be treated with justice in another life respecting its conduct in this.  These I take to be fundamental points in all sound religion."

I love that part when Ben says, "the most acceptable service we render to him is in doing good to his other children"...
This relationship he speaks of...this just makes my heart go pitter-patter.

This spirit of love and good will --  that which we potentially share with one another, all the other children, when aligned -- it just makes way for better consequences all the way around.  Indeed.

An except from the president's speech, just linked above:

Our rights are not given to us by man; our rights come from our Creator.  (Applause.)  No matter what, no Earthly force can take those rights away.  (Applause.)  That is why the words “Praise be to God” are etched atop the Washington Monument, and those same words are etched into the hearts of our people.
So today, we praise God for how truly blessed we are to be American.  (Applause.)  Across our land, we see the splendor of God’s creation.  Throughout our history, we see the story of God’s providence.  And in every city and town, we see the Lord’s grace all around us, through a million acts of kindness, courage and generosity.  We love God.

Results are the very things we put our mind to, the very things we imagine, bearing the likeness of the very things we think about all the live long day.  Self-fulfilling prophecy makes it so; while a close relationship with God makes manifest every good, every thing we truly need, every thing that life has to offer, as God works through each and every one of us if we so choose.

I believe, the illegal immigrant would find much better reception, here in America, by following the rules like any other person from around the globe who chooses to come to America through the front  door, and not over the wall.  Where is the honor in this?

IF one is NOT One to follow the proper way, the order of things, and in turn breaks a law or two, or repeatedly, then there are consequences -- even if their arrival is purely by association, due to a loving  parent only wanting something better, something more, for their own children.  It is still behavior unbecoming of an immigrant, the prospective citizen.  To fight the system of law and order, the actual system you are choosing to live in accordingly, doesn't make any sense.  The question should always be, for one and for all, and echoing President John F. Kennedy -- what must I DO in order to honor this land, this nation -- regardless of origin.

Americans are dreamers, too.  Enough said.

Let us turn the phrase Truth OR Consequences into Truth AND Consequences;

If we do the things that honor life itself, the things of God, the children of God, then all will work for the common good.  I believe, if we are diligent in the service to others, if we are conscious of every work we do, great or small, then the results will speak for themselves; the consequences will surely be amazing, and by the Grace of God, all life will live a life elevated.

Problem is -- in order to manifest this peace, this harmony -- all of us must find a way to obey and honor God entirely on our own; and given the God ordained order of things seen and unseen, the antics of free will of all the little children in a liberated world  makes this kind of utopia next to impossible. teehee...who says the Lord doesn't have a sense of humor?

have a nice day

It's 44 BILLION, not 85 -- it's lies, not truth -- it's fear, not faith -- and it's a pretty big THING

Dear America,

so this little article from CNS News explains everything in a nutshell; actually, the shell is overflowing, but what's the big f&#*ing deal about that, right Joe?  (aw, remember that day?)

my work is done.

have a nice day.

but seriously, haven't we heard enough already?

Do we not possess all the information we need to know?   Or how about this angle -- everything we ever needed to know we learned in kindergarten; how's that for bringing it down to a level of intelligence everyone can relate?

THIS Administration added 253.5 BILLION dollars to our national debt just in the month of February.

THIS Administration buoys the market on borrowed time to the tune of 85 billion dollars a month.

THIS Administration passed the Sandy Hurricane "Aid" bill about a month ago, pledging 51 billion dollars in "aid" to the region -- not to mention a few unmentionable pork projects, added in  for good measure [real aid amounted to under 10 B's].

Or, how about this --

if the federal government didn't go around spending the people's money all willy-nilly, we wouldn't even be in the middle of this sequester insanity; if the federal government only spent according to what they bring in -- reflective of legislating within a balanced budget --  how truly wonderful a world would that be?

But let's take a look back at that story from CNS News once more.  It points out that only 44 billion of sequester cuts are set to kick in for THIS fiscal year.  How is it that everyone in the mainstream media, and even the talking heads of THIS Administration, continue to throw around the 85 billion dollar number?    Wouldn't that number have absolutely nothing to do with the truth?  Wouldn't that number just be another lie?

Ah but don't try using that logic with Janet Napolitano; the walls are crashing in, security lines are unimaginable, and if you take your frustrations out on the poor helpless TSA, it's not going to help any of us get from here to there.

oh really Janet?

Hey, does anyone remember what happened the last time the stock market hit an all-time high?  [just food for thought...just a nut to save for later in the apples of our cheeks...or not]

The thing is, there seems to be a whole lot of manipulation going around.  Whether good, bad or indifferent, THIS Administration is arranging all the itty-bitty, nitty-gritty details of how we feel, and more important, how we respond, as it pertains to the collective body.  THIS Administration is master-minding movement, transformation, fundamental change from the roots.   And it's been a long time coming, actually.

Developing the fear factor is where it always begins, which reminds me of a story shared by Joel Osteen... and paraphrasing now --

It begins with a guy who works in some kind of shipping facility, or something, and one day he's inside a refrigerated trailer, packing and stacking, when he realizes he's alone and locked in for the night.  Long story short, everyone else has gone home and he begins to feed off the fear of being in this cold, dark environment, totally cut off from all communication with the world.  After awhile, he finds a piece of cardboard and scribbles out something like, "it's cold...not sure gonna make it..."

Well, the next morning the crew finds him.  Sure enough, he didn't make it.  He was discovered huddled in the corner under the cardboard.

But lo and behold -- the refrigeration of this trailer was not on.  It was never on.  The temperature throughout the night was never cooler than 61 degrees.  But this guy died anyway.  His thoughts were so powerful, they drove him right into his own death.

DO you think for one minute THIS Administration doesn't know what it's doing?   Obama's mentor -- Saul Alinsky --  was a master at weaving psychology, public policy, politics, propaganda, and community organizing all together to move the collective in order to control the collective.   Thoughts are things to be reckoned with; thoughts are things and can be used for political advantage and create radical change.   THIS is the kind of stuff Obama was reared and raised; this is precisely how Obama thinks, too.

But how about we close for the day on a couple of Osteen's points of light -- "fear presents itself much bigger than it really is"  and "if you stay in faith, God will deliver us from evil."

Think independently. Never assume, don't believe everything you hear, and live in truth (and certainly not within the confines of what THIS Administration tells you to think, feel, and believe).

It's not 85 billion in sequester cuts this year, it's 44 billion.  But what is 44 billion when we borrow 4 billion dollars by the end of every day?     The day we will be able to begin to save a few nuts and berries for a rainy day is 17 trillion dollars away (of course, not counting the unfunded liabilities).

Make it a Good Day, G

Hey remember when Obama said he would go "line by line" to make cuts in the budget; remember when Obama called Bush "unpatriotic" for raising the debt to 9 trillion dollars?  At the rate this president is going, AMERICA will be 22 Trillion in debt by the end of Obama's second term.

It's Just Another House Divided Thing

Dear America,

so awhile back, I was viciously attacked -- by someone within my own family circle, by the way -- for having and holding deep seated, fundamentally, diametrically, different beliefs than theirs.  Just for having the different point of view was reason alone for being the target of unhinged, and totally unsolicited, remarks.

I responded in the best way I know how -- and spoke up.  I didn't fall into the despair; I didn't shudder in the smacks of criticism across the proverbial face.

But make no mistake, in the privacy of my own home, I did cry.

I cried and cried and cried.

And then I spoke up.

I wrote back; directly and privately, I responded with my whole heart, thoughtfully and determined to stand up for myself and my beliefs.

I wrote back.

But, lo and behold, communicating didn't make it stop, while my feelings were ignored, ridiculed, or dismissed altogether; and only then did I take it to the next level, resorting to feeding my bare naked thoughts to the  blogosphere...albeit metaphorically, but wide open to the public none the less.

And only once; but let me tell you, once was enough.

Let's just say, making it public opened the flood gates (but let me also say, that this isn't about that.  I'm over it already.)

Overall, our public arena has grown even more public -- if you can imagine that!  Everything is out in the open; conversation and commentary that is made hundreds of miles away are visible within mere minutes upon facebook, Twitter, even mass media like Yahoo! and cable news outlets, while the mainstream media keeps up with the tags, links, syndication, and rss feeds automatically, each lining up like little soldiers to get the news out and about as fast they possibly can.  (what a job to keep up with it all, no?)

From the large scene to the itty bitty lives of people like you and me, we live these days totally exposed in every way.  And from a wider angle -- if we have one bad date, perhaps one uncomfortable rift with a girl friend, or make one mistake, it is on.   Online and made note -- and in turn, made everlasting, along with an immediate trail of responses and anonymous commentary to boot.

Basically -- strangely -- nearly everything we do is subject for exposure -- whether we agree with it, are aware of it, want it, or ask for it.

BUT the thing is, if we do it -- if we act, say, think out loud about anything!  -- it becomes fair game.  But more than that, if you invite response in any way, you are culpable.  Whether you thought about it well in advance or not; whether you thought about how it would be received, or not; whether you are open to opposition in any way, or not.

Whether in the micro or the macro, our words are powerful.

Our words are like a boomerang and carry the capacity to bounce right back to us; our words can care, or can hurt; our words can love, or can hate. They hold the power to unite or divide, destroy or create, at any given moment.

Is it enough to recognize that a house divided against itself cannot stand -- or do we actually need to know where these words come?

Abraham Lincoln quoted Jesus -- against the advice of his own good council, by the way -- when addressing the Republican delegates for U.S. Senate (yes, indicating we were also still living in the age when the state legislature decided who would be seated as state representation in the U.S. Senate). But consider this, it was 1858 -- and even then, dropping the 'yea, Jesus' as moral authority to get a message across was highly frowned upon.  For a quick background check and transcript of the "House Divided" speech, go here.

But needless to say, this moment marked only the beginning of a long, hard fight (for both the country and Lincoln); it was merely the precursor before leading us down a weary history of a war of words and ultimately, to a real, live, civil war.  But it was the right thing to do, wasn't it.  Nobody questions the wisdom of a Lincoln standing firm to his beliefs, his faith, and eventually, his call to arms within the full context of good reason.  Nobody.

How do we know what is right and wrong anymore?  What drives our personal authority, within ourselves and in communion with each other, to do the right thing anymore?

The faction of secular progressives would have us all believe that all we need to do is trust our feelings.

Ah, wouldn't that be nice.

And yet, some of us feel more for dolphins, then for the unborn child; some of us feel more for the planet, then fueling the free market with fair and balanced energy and regulation; some of us feel more for radical agendas, then fundamental principles and values this country was made.  We could go all the live long day about how much we feel and find a counter feeling just the same.

But what makes us truly moral, or not?  What is the code, the example, the method of recognizing what is morally the right thing to do -- just where does this kind of conviction come?  Hollywood?  Government?  School?

I have stumbled in the last week; found myself running into obstacles of faith and questioning nearly  everything possible -- as things normally moving forward are now sliding backward --  things usually right side up are now upside down.  Christians, more than any other group in America, are being attacked -- sometimes right out in the open, and at other times, hidden deep into legislation:

Let's quickly link to a few standouts:

The San Juan Capistrano Home Bible Study Police.

Vanderbuilt against Christian Liberty

Catholic Bishops confronting Obamacare

and then I found this, something that just might explain everything.

"Secularism is good for government. But it is terrible for society (though still preferable to bad religion) and for the individual.

One key reason is what secularism does to moral standards. If moral standards are not rooted in God, they do not objectively exist. Good and evil are no more real than "yummy" and "yucky." They are simply a matter of personal preference.

...The heart has replaced God and the Bible as a moral guide.

And now, as Brooks points out, we see the results. A vast number of American young people do not even ask whether an action is right or wrong. The question would strike them as foreign. Why? Because the question suggests that there is a right and wrong outside of themselves. And just as there is no God higher than them, there is no morality higher than them, either."

"Why Young Americans Can't Think Morally", syndicated columnist Dennis Prager, as featured on The Patriot Post.

Don't you love that:  "Good and evil are no more real than 'yummy' and 'yucky'."

The thing is, both in my personal experience and according to the greater community I share, the more The Left insists on burying our freedom of religion, and the free exercise thereof, the more it inspires me to speak up.

Just how in the world can this ONE NATION under GOD, protector of the "free exercise thereof," be here now -- knee deep in religious persecution?

Just how can this land -- creator of Lincoln and Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness for all -- become so consumed in the every day by the growing number of religious descent,  growing more and more visceral, if not totally vitriolic in nature, creating the very conditions for making the house divided?

When it comes to truly living by our faith -- by Divine Providence, if  you will -- what troubles me is that it seems no longer good enough to simply coexist and thereby agree to disagree with each other, and live and let live.  We have somehow ushered in a new era that allows for our differences of religion to be used against us; we have allowed to let in the unimaginable, writing into the unspoken behavioral rules permission to disgrace, ridicule, discredit and destroy anything that still lives and breathes a symbol of faith (but mostly, our Judeo-Christian history).

The house divided is here again.

But put into words we might all understand, it seems to be a pretty 'yucky' time in history.

"It does me no injury
for my neighbors to say
there are twenty Gods or no God;
it neither picks my pocket
nor breaks my leg."

It's Small Things, Medium-Sized Things, Big Things Thing

Dear America,

It was a classic press secretary response... to the question: "What is the President doing about the economy?" this morning:

"So there are small things,
medium-sized things,
and big things
that this President has done
and will continue to do,
and will look forward to doing.
And he will work with Congress
to do all of them."
thank you, Jay Carney
let's have a show of hands on that one...
c'mon everybody,
give it up for Jay!

so, just so we are clear, he cited the new Fuel Efficiency Standards as a conduit to save consumers some money, with the assurances that green jobs will come (Chevy Volt sales in July:  125); and cited the "additional forbearance" coming to the financially strapped homeowners; but all in all, he, Jay, quickly wrapped things up offering  no specifics or new things at all.

so, can we look at that number again, Jay....125.  In all of America, with 300 million people, and millions of cars, trucks and SUV's sold each year (averaging 17 million/year) -- the Chevy Volt sold 125 cars in the month of July.

so, all this should come as good news when we realize who will be leading OPEC for the next year.  A nice guy, I'm sure -- probably earned a great deal of respect over the years, in certain circles anyway; not all that attractive, however, but how narrow-minded and superficial of me is that? what a silly girl I am this morning.

He runs with the name:  Brig. Gen. Rostam Ghasemi (Qasemi) heads Khatam al-Anbia (KAA), an IRGC-owned industrial and engineering giant targeted for U.S., European and United Nations sanctions for activities relating to Iran’s nuclear program.  Go here to get a good look at him yourself.

oh yeah, and there's more, Jay, tell us what we've won:

Ghasemi himself was added in February 2010 to the U.S. Treasury’s Department list of Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs) whose assets are frozen and with whom Americans may not do business. Designation was made under an executive order that targets proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems

so, that  part about "with whom Americans may not do business" seems a bit awkward, doesn't it?  Oh I am sure it is no big deal; it's just OPEC; it's just Iran having a little fun with us westerners (again). oh and about that IRGC -- it stands for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps -- who considers this sweet deal "a blow to the West."  just gets better and better, doesn't it?

so, it is a good thing we've got a Volt or two hanging around to beat them at there own game.  yes, indeed. we should be able to nip this burden of oil dependency in no time. no time at all.

What is the president doing about it -- just demanding car makers confirm to the new standards, or else; he has continued to put the boot to the neck of the Gulf oil production stream; he has deemed areas "protected" to protect the lizards and birds; he has restricted America's production of oil in any way possible, answering the call of the wild environmentalists (just one of his many favorite lobbyists).

so, at least we were at about a 9% overall approval rating, now we are at just five...according to the Arab World which loves to rate how they think the United States of America is treating them.

A recent survey tells us that

"the Arab world's image of the US as a whole has also soured to become even less favorable than during the last year of the administration of president George W. Bush, under whom the United States led an international coalition that invaded Iraq.
and that...

"the poll found that Arabs see the Obama administration's handling of key Middle East policy issues as having made no contribution to improving relations between them and the United States.

In fact, the two issues on which the US administration has invested "considerable energy -- the Palestinian issue and engagement with the Muslim world -- receive the lowest approval rating."

so, this made me think...you know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when dealing with someone -- who, as a whole, you respect and adore and value -- as you enjoy their company and accept your differences -- and then, after maybe a breach of circumstances and natural evolution, you come to find out that after all this time, after all the breaking of bread, after all the niceties of relationship to and fro, that you come to find out underneath it all, they were really looking at you with contempt -- judging you from top to bottom.

this is how it feels after all this time, through dignitaries, ambassadors, kings and queens, sheiks and imams, prime ministers and presidents, from subjects to rebels to revolutionists to students, the richer the poorer, struggling to be in relationship with the Middle East.

We were doing a lot better when we kept to ourselves as much as possible; we did better when we kept at a reasonable distance; we were happier without the pushing and pulling and negotiating and compromising on the values we hold dear, vacillating with our own truth, making security breaches against our own personal security. The relationship is toxic, in seemingly every foreign relation's way possible.

and what is this president doing about it?   everything from bowing, struggling, angling, reinforcing, cajoling, manipulating, threatening in virtually every way he can think of just to make them "Like" us.  It is beginning to look like we are hanging our every move evaluating what they will think of us first.  How inauthentic is that?

so, you know that old Ricky Nelson line, 'you can't please everyone, you gotta please yourself...'

if you actually clicked into Ricky there, it tells you a story about how the song "Garden Party" came about; capturing the devastation to the psyche following a time when he was just being himself, putting himself out there from the heart, and getting booed off the stage (of course, the story says it may have just been a misunderstanding, that the crowd was really booing the cops, but Ricky didn't know better)  He took it personally and he held onto that feeling for a long, long time.  The song was the product of the cathartic, creative process to move himself up and out of his funk. (Kudos to 'Pequinito' on youtube for the project...nicely done)

This girl believes that we need to come to the Middle East from a different approach; we need to come from a place of personal power, our personal best, and stand up for ourselves.  All G see's is  the US standing up for them, in hopes it will work in our favor in the end.  This is clearly not working.

All the Arab world sees is a nation bowing with their insecurities and vulnerabilities leading the way; we are not meeting them with a sense of REAL authority, or authenticity , at all.  While with certain, there is no clear line of mutual respect between us.  And now with our unconscionable growth of our nation's debt, with little wiggle room anywhere to be found, we are forced into a relationship intent on being the submissive, affected, weaker party which clings to giving in more often than standing up.

and for that matter, now that I'm thinking about it, the entire world is watching the once Super Power fall into the position of Weakest Link.

Our actions must align with our talk, otherwise there is no power in it;  no one will take us seriously.

The Arab World doesn't have to like us; they don't want to like us; and they don't care if they like us or even if we all get along.  Actually, just guessing here, they would probably prefer to hold us in contempt rather than work things out.  It's just easier to make us the villain so that they can live on tip-toeing through the tulips (poppies) in their fairy land Arab Spring.  As a whole, the Arab World holds the power over us because all we want is for them to like us, and just maybe keep selling us that black gold that runs through their veins.

The relationship will always be make believe; much like the stance of a typical presidential press secretary/spokesman/mouthpiece -- like Jay -- the fodder for what to believe about the things a president will do, wants to do, intends to do, dreams of doing, and what he actually does -- it all spins from a podium -- the explanations of the past, the amplifying of the present, and the safe-keeping of the future rests in the hands of how much "Jay" [and the president] can make the people, the press, the Arab world, believe.

In the end, though, like Ricky's song, it all falls back on each and every one of us -- to believe in ourselves, to believe in our own truths, to stand up for our own principles, to sing our own song, to follow through with our own word -- even if it might have the power to break a relationship and especially if it is toxic.

Because our life is not make believe, is it?
It is real and it is right in front of us and it is what we make of it every day.

"So there are small things,
medium-sized things,
and big things
that this President has done
and will continue to do,
and will look forward to doing.
And he will work with Congress
to do all of them."

It's an Evil Web We Weave Thing

Dear America,

played hooky yesterday -- went into recess, as some say; or, more like what many of you commonly call taking "a personal day."

My baby girl is out of town with her daddy this week, so it was a day for taking a little liberty with my liberty, if you know what I mean -- lounging around the house, only turning on my computer to check email (albeit late in the day -- while giving way to making a full disclosure here -- I shouldn't even have gone that far, what a tactical error on the day that was...oh well)... but let's see, what else...

...caught up with my man for a wee slice of the afternoon, painted flowers and squiggles and hearts and moons all over a piece of furniture that was just begging for a makeover, and made myself a vodka cocktail on the rocks with three olives as the sun went down.  It was a good day.

I let my mind escape from it's troubles for what amounts to something less than a fragment of my life, allowing the floodgates to open up to let the spirit flow and fly free anyway she wanted.  And I did.

But back in the real world, fresh eyed and rested, with a certain buzz lifting me out of what feels like months on the battlefield galactica, watching the ridiculousness of the debt ceiling debate and what came out of it -- it is back to vigilance.

There must be something wrong when both China and Russia join forces to tell us, America, that we screwed up.  That we must be more responsible with our debt.  That we can't keep going on like this.  These parallel universes, appearing like they are for us before they are against us, undoubtedly spell trouble.  Putin says that we "...are living like parasites off the global economy and [our] monopoly of the dollar."  For a crib notes version of China's view, watch this. [fyi: this commercial was produced by Citizens Against Government Waste.  It is now banned, deemed too controversial to show on TV]

But how 'bout that market today?  down 300 points with three hours to go...that's gotta hurt.

Once Obama comes back from his birthday parties and vacationing, he plans on beginning a bus tour -- to go out to talk to the American people about the economy and jobs.  The tour is set to begin August 15th, with the plan to span mostly the Midwest...ergo hitting up the swing state vote.  Don't you just dig this president's transparency as much as G?

When asked a few stellar questions backing Carney into a corner of his milky way, a CNS.com reporter asked him "is that a campaign event or a presidential event?"  To which Carney responded, "Negative.  That is an official event." And then, it just unraveled from there, and quoting the rest of that conversation:

CNSNews.com followed, “So it is being funded by taxpayers in battleground states?”
Carney responded, “He’s the president of the United States.”

Another reporter followed up about whether there was a political nature to the trip.

“The air of cynicism is quite thick,” Carney shot back. “The idea that the president of the United States should not venture forth into the country is ridiculous.”

The reporter said, “I didn’t say that.”

Carney said, “No, but you implied it in your question. It is absolutely important for the president – whoever that person is, in the past or in the future – to get out and hear from people in different communities."

Hey, you know who just recently came out and endorsed Obama? -- and thinking to myself that you will just love the full circle connection here -- is the communist party USA!   yea!  hip hip hooray!

"We are keenly aware of the fact that the agenda of the far right is to bring this administration and country to its knees, with a heavy dose of racism, lies and economic sabotage, setting the stage for a full blown return to power of the most reactionary, racist, anti-labor, anti-women, homophobic and militarist grouping in U.S. politics."
Sam Webb, Chairman of CommunistPartyUSA

Yikes!  He forgot to call us "right wing extremists" "terrorists"  -- like Joe Biden did.

Now if you ask me, it's that Webb guy who seems a wee bit 'reactionary' and high strung -- perhaps he needs to take a personal day?  And I am beginning to think there is distant family relation somewhere -- given the thin air of superiority and the propensity of aligning with just flat out lies, propaganda, and name calling to string his talking points along and bully opposition beliefs into submission -- the tactics and rhetoric are all too familiar within even my own family.

But whatever, let us quickly moveon.org -- now if this American president is pleased by this endorsement for the second time around, that should tell us everything we need to know about the man. right?  How could he stand up and say thanks guys, knew I could count on you and be totally okay with it?  Is he getting his American rhetoric/talking points confused with his dreams from my father by chance?

SO his bus tour is just one big meet and greet, to calm the people down, to comfort them in the face of 9.2% unemployment, while glaring at a debt that is basically too high for all the tea in China, now sitting at 16.7 TRILLION dollars.  While Washington Establishment hasn't learned a thing.  Do you really believe we can solve a debt crisis with more debt?   It's an absurd notion.

Over the last ten years, federal spending has ballooned 46%; government is growing 3.5% faster than our ability to sustain it.  The federal reserve is simply planning on printing more money -- when they do -- we, the people, sustain immediate financial hardship, having the value of the dollar diminished right before our eyes.  and all of it is out of our hands.  Catch this short video on the Federal Reserve (just four minutes)

One more thing to cling to before the weightlessness of the political atmosphere pulls me out to Pluto, this was in the morning mail from The Daily Bell:
"We are going to pay for it with massive inflation. We're going to have to run the presses 24/7 to buy up all this additional debt, which is massive inflation, which is a tax on this generation..." Peter Schiff, being interviewed on Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano
China and Russia are absolutely right about us -- Americans are being screwed over by the establishment in general, the Power Elite in particular, with both sides of the aisle guilty as charged.  They are laughing at us and can't wait for us to burst into 300 million pieces.

According to word on the street, the establishment may have to consider raising the ceiling right around the next elections; even Nancy Pelosi considers that raising the debt ceiling another 2.4 Trillion dollars is only good for a mere eighteen months -- and her numbers have never added up -- they are usually far worse -- it is just that we are left in the dark until we have had a chance to read the fine print in the light of day before we know any better.

Okay, so my links got out of hand today; consider it making up for my lost in space day of yesterday...or is that today?  do do dodo do do dodo

You know, the GOP promised the American people they would post new legislation for 72 hours before a vote so that the people could read it, and respond to their congressmen complete with all the intelligence and matter at hand.  We did not get that this time around, did we?  The "manufactured crisis" on the day was simply too great, the oncoming asteroid was about to hit us and set off "Armageddon,"  we were told. When push came to shove, there was simply no time to follow through with their word.  What a shame.

And now they are on recess.

typical.

Holy Crap.  The market is down 400. Leaving G leaving on a low point...atypical; consider it just something totally out of my control.

Make it a Good Day, G

It's a Radical-in-Office Thing

Dear America,

"I cannot guarantee
that those checks go out on August 3rd
if we haven't resolved this issue.
Because there may simply not
be the money in the coffers to do it."
President Obama

That's a good one, Mr. President.

Have you checked the balance of the checking account lately?  are you even remotely aware of how much money the U.S. Treasury takes in every month?

IF the stupid people take a moment to do the math, we would all realize (based on current revenues at 2.2 Trillion a year) that we bring in, at the very least, TWO HUNDRED BILLION each month.  The debt service, which must be paid first to avoid default, is about 30 B's.  The rest of that monthly cash flow amounts to somewhere around another 170 B's -- right?  I know, I know, it is a rough sketch.  ask me if I care. so hmmm...

hmmm...

hmmm...

hummmmmmmmmm

what to do, what to do.  Should we pay, perhaps, our monthly entitlement payments next? Beginning with Social Security -- needing about 25 B's, then Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment...on down the line.

WE MAKE PLENTY OF MONEY.

Check this chart out.  It tells anyone who cares, what is sitting in the U.S. Treasury [aka 'the coffers']  at any given time.  It is brilliant really.   Take your time...go line by line (choose to veto, at will) ...review how the U.S. Treasury spends the people's money (rounded to millions).

Month to Date:  Adding Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment  = 58 Billion dollars

So what we do we have left?  We have at least 100 billion dollars left to pay for other important things =  like the Department of Defense -- our troops -- the vendors, the veterans affairs;  and then, maybe we'll even cover the paychecks of our fine Federal Employees (albeit, their importance, questionable).

Then from here on out, it should be fire-sale time; everything must go kind of thing.

Now, my breakdown is obviously loosely thrown together according to my little head; CNS News offers you a more critical eye, using actual numbers from May 16th through July 7 -- and for that, just go here.

And they reminded me of an interesting teeny tiny detail:  WE actually HIT the DEBT CEILING on MAY 16th.  Do you still have a roof over your head?  Did the sky fall down?  Are people rioting in the streets?  Did Social Security checks get mailed last week?  the week before?  the week before that? and again, the week before that?

exactly.

Smoke and mirrors.  Desperate times call for desperate measures.  The ends justify the means.  Fear mongering.  Creating a reason for class warfare -- making the civil society chaotic.   Telling outright lies to the American people.  Really?

If you fall for these tactics from this president, it isn't shame on him -- it is shame on you.

From Saul Alinsky, the president's mentor:

"The middle classes are numb, bewildered, scared into silence.  They don't know what, if anything, they can do.  This is the job for today's radical [in office by the way] -- to fan the embers of hopelessness into a flame to fight."

Everything that is happening in America, right now, is right out of the 196 pages of Rules for Radicals.  It is time for us to know the enemy within.

Make it a Good Day, G

and again, the shared sacrifice vs. shared prosperity blaahg gets sidelined....maybe tomorrow.

pss. can I just say, Mitch McConnell is an idiot.
psss.  if the GOP don't find a pair soon, this girl is gonna lose it; and I can assure you, it won't be pretty.

just breathe, G, just breathe. But hey, if the rant fits:

"Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley [fill in with Representative of choice], my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

had to do it.  It was radical, I know.  But I feel good.  Do you feel good?
