even with the best of intentions, humans are subject to a higher law --  and not to mention, a whole lot of human error, miscalculation, manipulation and all-round hi-jinx that is simultaneously seen and unseen, from origins within and with-out, and can come and go as it pleases.  Perfect for the popular phrase -- and rather splendid oxymoron that it is --  coming to mind:  holy shit.

If your intentions include something that is not part of the Divine Plan, it gets nixed; and in equal portion, planet earth is also home to dark forces, predators of the unkind kind and led by....

oh hell, for kicks and giggles, let's let Alinsky tell it:

"Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical:  from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer,"  -- Saul Alinsky

This is how the infamous Leftist's playbook, Rules for Radicals, begins; with an Alinsky-ism only fit for the purpose of setting the stage of rebellion and wreaking havoc, pure evil, upon American traditions large and small, Alinsky's intentions were made known before even meeting the Table of Contents.

so, I kid you not with what I'm about to say --

you wanna know how the Lord works in mysterious ways?  how my every intention to walk with the Holy Spirit right beside me works?  No.  Of course not.  But you know --  it is my blog...and you know how that lyric goes, sing it with me now.... it's my party and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to, cry if I want to, you would cry to if it happened to you....

but I digress.

--- I opened A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches by Tyler Kord (we've canonized this dude before, so forgive me if this girl chooses not to take up precious time and space on that again, in the here and now; you'll just have to take my word at my word, k.)  Any who -- what did I open to?  To a page showing a sandwich called Sympathy for the Devil,  and calling for four hamburger buns, 4 veggie burgers (recipe within pg, 136) and half cup avocado blue cheese spread (pg. 181), and half cup of roasted onions (pg. 172)... to which I must reply -- if you are one to need a recipe for roasted onions, shame on you.  Roasted onions, roasted whole bird chicken, roasted beets, roasted garlic, roasted just about anything and everything, should be in everybody's wheelhouse, for it is just about he easiest thing to learn to do!  just sayin.

Oh the devil is in the details, right?

Wisdom or folly, the play things of the ages.

And perhaps, with a short pause, we might also note that the voice of wisdom, here, is personified as a woman...tee hee.  But not important;  the question before humanity, good intentions and all, is whether we take the path of righteousness, being guided by God's word, having given us the first law of mankind, as written in stone, by way of the Ten Commandments and handed to Moses somewhere around 1450 BC, OR choose the wicked ways of culture, fully corrupted from the inside out, having fully evolved, organized, and made rotten to it's core.  

So here's a segway divined out of the ether of the moment and following along a stream on a theme -- just how does James Comey imagine Hillary's intent lacking, and thereby a stumbling block on further prosecution (when totally guilty of transmitting confidential top-secret government information, via email, upon an illegal, non-disclosed, secret, totally insecure server...)  --  AND YET, and now being ripe for umpteen calls of hypocrisy,  feels totally secure in leveling a guilty verdict of Trump's ill intentions, with possibly a mission to evade and obstruct justice (but then again, said he "could be wrong")  throughout the entire hearing last Thursday ??????

So the intentions of Comey ring loud and true and false and mischievous, yes?

Let's observe where we were at BEFORE the Senate testimony, shall we?

From May 3, 2017, a post by Andrew C. McCarthy, at National Review, is a perfect place to start.  HERE.   [Love that A-MAC....always good intentions, and always highly accurate.]

Here is the final paragraph:

Patently, Hillary Clinton was well aware of (a) the highly classified subject matter of communications that would inevitably be passing through the private e-mail system she set up for State Department business, in violation of statutes and government rules; (b) the fact that e-mails are stored on servers; (c) the fact that the communications facilities and devices used by State Department officials are routinely targeted in cyberattacks by foreign intelligence services and other hostile actors; and (d) the rules for the proper handling of classified information (and potential penalties for mishandling it). Consequently, her mishandling of classified information was knowing and intentional, as well as grossly negligent. Many reasonable prosecutors would salivate at the prospect of taking such a case to court, especially if they knew that Clinton was going to run with a “lack of intent” defense.

And then there's this, another piece leading up to the highly hyped testimony, and it comes courtesy of Breitbart.com, posted by John Hayword, and gifted to the world wide web just before the hearing started and going something like this:

Hans von Spakovsky, former Justice Department attorney and a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation, discussed former FBI Director James Comey’s upcoming testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday morning’s edition of Breitbart News Daily.

SiriusXM host Raheem Kassam observed that by Comey’s own account, he took notes during his meetings with President Trump but not President Obama, which would suggest “an element of prejudice that Jim Comey took into that relationship from the outset.”

“I actually agree with that. I actually think his opening statement is more of an indictment of him than of the president,” said Spakovsky. “If he thought that he was being asked somehow to do something wrong in his dinner conversation with the president, then his duty was to go back to his office, write a letter of resignation, and leave the FBI.”  

Of course, there was another part of the post that made this girl go hmmmm:

“The other thing about the way he’s been acting, the CYA memo he put together – how much would you all like to bet that he’s already got his book in the works that he’s going to put together about all of this?” Spakovsky asked.

This is called intentions meeting more intentions and immediately receiving real world context; like, how could he publish a book now, right?  Who in their right mind would ever buy a book that you can't trust a single word but his own name to be true?  holy shit, it's like, you can't be serious.

NINE TIMES; there were nine times during testimony when James Comey not only intimated he could be wrong, but said so in no uncertain terms! [And thank you, Breitbart, for one more time.]

Not to mention, if this girl hears him disparage "common sense" even one more time, why I oughta... [And who knew there would ever come a time to quote The Three Stooges....right?] 

But back to COMEY being wrong nine times during under oath testimony -- isn't that when we move to strike the entire answer?    His testimony, then,  becomes riddled with merely personal bias, built up by pure conjecture, using inconclusive evidence, with the intent to harm Donald J. Trump, now president of the United States of America.  Of course, this girl could be wrong.

All this being said, 

all we arrive at is a situation 

that can only be characterized as being 

completely and absolutely ridiculous.

What a farce.  Is this really the best use of our time?  

Remember now -- Trump was told three times that he was not under investigation (by Comey), that there was no evidence of collusion; while the obstruction of justice investigation just became the latest diabolical scheme, organized with every intention of bringing the Trump Administration to it's knees, if not beheaded.  [Yes.  I said it.  I said it for the express purpose of tying Kathy Griffin's antics directly with the intentions and actions under the deep state apparatus, clearly out to take out Trump.]

In one of my favorite books of all time, The 5000 Year Leap, by  W. Cleon Skousen -- Part II of the book focuses upon The FOUNDERS' BASIC PRINCIPLES....there are 28 of them, according to Skousen, if you so choose to take The Leap and read it.  It is the 13th one that we will concentrate on for today:   "A Constitution Should be Structured to Permanently Protect the People from the Human Frailties of their Rulers"

Oh woe is me to the force of power under the weight of good intentions...

As Skousen writes, "Every unconstitutional action has usually been justified because it was for a "good cause."  Every illegal transfer of power from one department to another has been excused as "necessary."  The whole explosion of bureaucratic power in Washington has been a result of "trusting" benign political leaders, most of whom really did have good intentions."  And then promptly quotes Thomas Jefferson:

It would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights; that confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism; free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy, and not confidence, which prescribes limited constitutions to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power; that our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no farther, our confidence may go....In questions of power, then, let no more be said of confidence in man, BUT BIND HIM DOWN FROM MISCHIEF BY THE CHAINS OF THE CONSTITUTION.

And for supplemental support, goes to good old George Washington, who once said:

"Government is not reason, 

it is not eloquence -- it is force!   

Like fire, 

it is a dangerous servant 

and a fearful master." 

Might as well put a pin on the map that points out the obvious, "you are here."

Based upon a series of good intentions, and some bad, the overwhelming arch of truth tells us that after two hundred years of "gradual and silent encroachments of those in power" (James Madison), we the people are experiencing less freedom, less security, less dominion over our lives;  being guided by men of "human frailties" at every turn, the sad truth is, good intentions have the capability of being intrinsically and thoroughly evil, with the power to make more corruption, more doubt, and more erosion of our nation's basic precepts of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

Thus --- making the entire case arguing on behalf of the INTENTION at the heart of the matter entirely subjective, nefariously revealing political party lines more than anything else, to the extent of making it totally irrelevant in most instances; the only thing that matters is the law! 

Did you or did you not break the law?  

Who really cares what is in your heart, as far as understanding your intentions, back behind the clear disregard of the law itself?

 As a people, we used to recognize that when we chose to kill another person, it was not only a sin against God, it was breaking the law!  When we coveted another man's wife, or house, or horse and buggy -- to the point of stealing another man's wife, house, or horse and buggy --  it was not only a sin, it was breaking the law!  

The thing is, there once was a day when the original law -- The Ten Commandments -- was all we ever needed; there is that.  That's just a statement of fact.

 

Huh, wonder why making MORE laws have not served humanity, as a whole, any better?  Wonder what is at the heart of all this madness, discontent, and lawlessness?  

What were Comey's intentions when he decided to leak government memos to the New York Times -- Answer:  IT DOESN'T MATTER; it was illegal!   He broke the law!  GO HERE --  to RED STATE -- for a whole lot more on the controversy.

Time to go make a sandwich; so hungry I could eat my neighbor's horse (but I won't -- that would just be gross.....and WRONG!  Vewy vewy wong in more wong ways than one.  teehee)

"Does the end justify the means?"

From the pages of Saul Alinsky's, Rules For Radicals... [aka The Left's playbook]

THAT PERENNIAL QUESTION, 'Does the end justify the means?' is meaningless as it stands; the real and only question regarding the ethics of means and ends is, and always has been, 'Does this particular end justify this particular means?'
Life and how you live it is the story of means and ends.  The end is what you want, and the means is how you get it.  Whenever we think of social change, the question of means and ends arises...[The man of action] He asks of ends only whether they are achievable and worth the cost; of means, only whether they will work.   To say that corrupt means corrupt the ends is to believe in the immaculate conception of ends and principles.  The real arena is corrupt and bloody.  Life is a corrupting process...

so reflecting upon this, upon this day... after such a contentious, dirty, filthy, ugly presidential campaign...what say you?  Does the end justify the means?   Hallelujah and hell yes.

Oh joy to the world.

After President Obama reminded us, early and often, how elections do have consequences [see Immigration by Executive Order, see Obamacare by Hook and by Crook, see Government Regulations wreaking havoc upon business far and wide, see All of the Above Energy promises turn into a downright destruction of oil, gas, and coal, see the world's finest military reduced to dust....and on and on and on] ...isn't this end result a time to savor.

The hidden Trumpeter's across the land secretly held their position tight to the chest right up until the very last minute...speaking directly of the 42% of women who voted for him.....shhshh don't ask don't tell, more tea anyone?

Oh don't be fooled, people; it was crystal clear:  this choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump; we just couldn't talk about it!  We had more important things to do between the kids, the dog, or the job.  And while Trump wasn't exactly the kind of guy many of us would want to bring home or share on facebook or dish about over a potluck, he was the means -- decided fair and square through the political primary process -- in hopes of returning law and order to the country and, in the end, beat HER.  Much of that 42% of women had to have held their nose and voted for him anyway...just like me.

[And here's a twist @The Washington Post -- commentary from a liberal Muslim woman who voted for Trump...please read.  Even though she and I differ on many things probably...she understood what a Trump presidency means for the future of the country...amen.]

Oh...to have a candidate fight back against the Democratic machine -- no matter what means necessary, made all the difference in the world.   And to that, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, Donald [now don't screw this up... teehee].

For days now, a big part of me has been sitting on the election result, hesitant to react too soon, pausing before going all nuclear on the hot buttons of the moment at hand.   Given how much this election season has taken out of me -- day in and day out -- living and breathing it for months on end -- please forgive me and my first inclination, resorting to hibernation.  Taking it all in, watching the response from the Left, listening to the pundits pound out what it all means, was something this girl had absolutely no interest in doing.  Just lead me to a bottle of Makers and I'll do just fine...can't Just a Girl just enjoy this for one means to an ends minute?

But how can we -- those sitting just right of center --  sit back and feel centered at a time like this.....

Let's face it -- unlike the Right, which seems to bend over backwards to make nice with the other side -- there is no chance for peaceful co-existence with the Left.  They simply close the door, throw a tantrum, call you names, unfriend you on facebook, or all of the above.

Typical is the response by Maloney at GrubHub (linked above), defying his own code of conduct, as he preaches for tolerance and inclusiveness while calling for anyone who does not agree with his line of thinking to resign!  How absurd is that?  I was one of those who immediately forwarded feedback to GrubHub and said, in short, this girl will never ever use GrubHub ever, as in never.  Ciao.

But looking back over the course of the last week, how bizarre was it to find out Hillary had set up a two-minute fireworks display over New York harbor ON ELECTION NIGHT and between the hour of 9 and 10 p.m. eastern?  Was that just a wee bit premature, or what?  How could she do something like that even before my polls in California even closed?   Seriously, Hillary?  Just who told you that was a good idea?

Booked on Thursday only to cancel it come Monday morning... you just had to know, that they knew, that this thing called winning was suddenly not in the bloomin' Bloomingdales Big Brown Bag.   No new presidential pantsuits for you.

Before election day, President Obama made it clear right up until the bitter end just what was at stake --  saying in a commercial for Hillary,

“All the progress we’ve made these last eight years is on the ballot. Respect for women is on the ballot, tolerance is on the ballot, equality is on the ballot, justice is on the ballot,” Obama says in the ad, which is clipped from an Oct. 11 rally in Greensboro, North Carolina. “If you want to send a message in this election, send a message about who we are as the American people. Send a message by voting for Hillary Clinton,” he continues.

Progress?

Obamacare is not progress, it's the destruction of one-sixth of this nation's economy through the sheer telling and scheming of a lie over and over --- the "Affordable Care Act" is anything but affordable, offers less healthcare choices, and causes the costs to necessarily skyrocket.  Until it returns to a free market commodity to cross state lines, encouraging competition between insurance companies, and offering a wider pool of offerings to the consumer (and patient), it will continue to unravel and disappoint.

Illegal Immigration by Executive Order is not progress. it's abuse of power.

Signing a Nuclear Agreement with Iran is not progress, it's treason.  [And don't get me started on the paying of ransom, previously covered here on the old gthing, of course]

Opening America to unvetted refugees from the Middle East is not progress, it's reckless, creating vulnerabilities in national security.

And taking away the free exercise of one's faith -- is that progress?  Does the end justify the means?  Does the end justify the means, especially in the woefully prohibitive, anti-Christianity, environment within the military, and causing issues of morale and retention?

The thing is --

President Obama's legacy was on the line in this presidential election, and it lost. bigly.

And how awkward was that first meeting....the president-elect Trump with the President?  The picture of the two making the headlines tells it all, doesn't it?  Serious expressions, hands folded, President Obama could hardly look at him during the photo op with the press.  [Go to Guardian, here, to see full story and transcript on the remarks of the day]

It's the passing of the presidential baton from the guy who hasn't built a thing (other than a mess to clean up) to a guy famous for it...building things.  Building many, many things.  Talk about polarizing -- these guys couldn't be any more apart.  I love this part, when Obama said:

...And I have been very encouraged by the, I think, interest in President-elect Trump’s wanting to work with my team around many of the issues that this great country faces, and I believe that it is important for all of us, regardless of party and regardless of political preferences, to now come together, work together, to deal with the many challenges that we face. 

Starting with condescension and ending with something of an immaculate ascension,  Obama plays it as if he never accused Trump of aligning with the KKK, or called him unfit, and woefully unprepared for the job...the office of the president of the United States.

But who are we kidding?

We know the Left.

We know how it operates and the rules for radicals playbook it uses freely and un-apologetically, whether proselytizing and organizing communities, whether rioting and protesting, or, whether leading a nation; the book is not only used,  it has been put to memory -- a holy book to facilitate and replicate every means to a leftist dream end.

If my recollection serves me correctly, this girl thought Barack Hussein Obama was woefully unfit for the job, too. [Had plenty of reasons, none of which had to do with the color of his skin...]  

But you didn't see me riot in the streets.  No, for eight years this girl had to just suck it up and deal with it...

And notice I didn't call him "unprepared;" oh, he and his handlers, his associates, were prepared, alright.  He was fully prepared to transform America [as he promised fundamental transformation beginning day one].  How could he not be after following the likes of Saul Alinsky,  Frank Marshall Davis,  Charles Ogletree. Reverend Jeremiah Wright... not to mention, dreams of his own father, Obama Sr.  ...and on and on and on.  He done dare transformed the nation and more; he left us divided, polarized,  broken into demographics and totally unfit for assimilating into one united people. Dividing and conquering is no way to lead, Mr. President -- and yet, it was the means to this bitter end YOU CHOSE.  You did this.  This is what you built!

President Obama IS a Radical-In-Chief  -- his so-called legacy in question proves it...in policy, in word and deed throughout the world, in the blatant disregard of our cultural traditions and our individual freedom to exercise one's faith, and in the shameful mockery of America's Rule of Law...

So here's to things being UNDONE...here's to a new end, being fully justified, by whatever means necessary, skyscrapers the limit.  And here's to Obama's sad, sad legacy meeting up with a brand new day in America.

It's a Hard Knocked Moral Life Thing

Dear America,

this blog just might come in stages...levels, if you will...possibly eight.

it might come in one fell swoop, but then again, it might not.

and doncha just love the creative license at play, and surely, at fault.

This is what happens, you see, when multiple dimensions -- most likely eight -- come at me all at once.

There is just so much to say...

from the everyday and nameless cynics to the Book of Job, that's how it all begins for me, G, in this new day...

from there, from the mindset of organizers and radicals to the consciousness of revolutionaries and freedom fighters -- from the absence of light to the deliverance of evil -- from the very essence of how power tends to corrupt to the evolution of absolute power corrupts absolutely -- from the self interests of the common good to self interests of the common not so good.

It's all right here at the tip of my tongue.

How ironic that Saul Alinsky handpicked the Bible verse, "The life of man upon earth is a warfare..." [Job 7:1] to set forth the premise of his entire work, a "pragmatic primer for realistic radicals."

For Alinsky could have chosen anything he so pleased.

But he chose this... 
making it a bullet point, no less, to stand out -- for emphasis -- in order to capture the fullness of his lament (that being Alinsky's, not Job's) and organize his thoughts into that one thing.

To characterize Alinsky quickly and without pomp and circumstance, he's the epitome of a true American cynic.  End of story.   Narrowing the perspective even further:  reading what ultimately becomes the operation's manual for the up and coming progressives of the last fifty years, Rules for Radicals, the task grows into something insufferable, weighted down by a constant stream of whining. 

It's heavy.
Jaded.
Dropping even a few F-bombs along the way, remaining true to the story -- which had to be revolutionary for it's day, no?    Alinsky was cool like that.

What is a cynic anyway?

To the standard, everyday understanding:   "a person who believes all men are motivated by selfishness."  

And that is all well and good; and yet, searching it's origins revealing a certain caveat, then we discover another view, "a member of a sect, founded by Antisthenes of Athens, of ancient Greek philosophers who believed virtue to be the only good and self-control to be the only means of achieving virtue."

 Returning to the Book of Job, it begins with this focus on how hard life is, the suffering that seems too great, too much to handle -- that all life is, and ever will be, can be summed up to being  a hard service, like that of a hired man, and synonymous with war itself.

Alinsky LEADS with this one idea and continues to lead the education of an organizer with a plethora of tips and tactics capitalizing on a theme -- the struggle to gain control (absolute power). 

Revealing the importance of making the moral justification and citing,  "all great leaders, including Churchill, Gandhi, Lincoln, and Jefferson, always invoked 'moral principles' to cover naked self-interest in the clothing of 'freedom' 'equality of mankind' 'a law higher than man-made law' and so on."  Alinsky doubles down, saying, "all effective actions require the passport of morality."  Once a cynic always a cynic.


So it's funny, isn't it?

For just how does Alinsky begin but by channeling Job, invoking God into the discussion right from the start.   Linking to the deeper, moral argument in hopes of making his argument not only legitimate, but worthy of attention and worth fighting for no matter the costs, the suffering, the labor, the hard service to something greater than...  It's on behalf of the common good, of course!

Prompted by Job posing the basic question,  why do the righteous suffer if God is so loving and all-powerful -- Alinsky capitalizes and profits in the making of a movement, as if asking, why do the people suffer at the hands of the establishment, if not also by God, all over again.

Attaining a wee bit of deep background via my handy-dandy Nelson's Bible handbook, we discover that "suffering itself is not the central theme; rather, the focus is on what Job learns from his suffering -- the sovereignty of God over all creation."  In the end, Job sees the light and repents and no longer demands answers from God as to why; in the end, Job realizes how great God is, and becomes humbled by his own humanity under God.

Oh if things could be so simple.

What have we learned?

The thing is, what began as a movement complete with rules for radicals et.al. and everything -- and quite possibly whittled down to eight levels of control to create social change -- has evolved.

And some may even say, the rules have changed; they had to change in order to facilitate the simple truth that "radicals must be resilient, adaptable to shifting political circumstances, and sensitive enough to the process of action and reaction to avoid being trapped by their own tactics and forced to travel a road not of their choosing...radicals must have a degree of control over the flow of events."

And come to think of it, we might as well begin concocting the Eight Stages for Fundamental Transformation BY President Barack Obama right now.

wait a minute...

we did that...

for it's all the same thing.

• Control healthcare, nationalize it even (and sign up by March 31st! or not);
• increase the poverty level...they won't fight back if the nanny state is providing everything for them;
• increase the national debt, by 10 trillion dollars before the end of eight years in office -- then increase taxes because it's morally the right thing to do;
• make it impossible to own a gun, or get the ammo for your gun, that way the people can no longer defend themselves and grow to depend upon the police state to control everybody;
• elevate the welfare rolls to levels unseen... just give people the fish... the roof over their head, the cell phone, unemployment, food stamps, ...;
• take control over news rooms, planting government spies and propaganda... implement government controls over education material... and basically indoctrinate the people from birth;
• remove the belief in Divine Providence and foundation under God, allow the atheists to usurp religious rights and the free exercise thereof;
• divide and conquer -- create conflict between the have's and the have-nots -- make the moral case for income redistribution...and while we're at it, let's polarize our cultural traditions and cornerstones.

Ah indeed,
as Alinsky declares war, in peaceful celebration, saying:

"History is a relay of revolutions; the torch of idealism is carried by the revolutionary group until this group becomes an establishment, and then quietly the torch is put down to wait until a new revolutionary group picks it up for the next leg of the run.  Thus the revolutionary cycle goes on...

That last bit sounds real good until we recognize the context.

It should be understood that when Alinsky speaks of this "moral life," he makes the distinction to embrace such changes as a group, fully organized as a community; it is neither rooted, or cultivated, from the seeds of self-reliance and personal responsibility of the individual according to this nation's original intent .  

And to that end, this bad influence shows up when our current president speaks of being "my brother's keeper..." and when a certain first lady (Clinton) chimed in, saying, "it takes a village."   Just two out of the many Alinsky students gazing up to the heaven's with contempt, questioning everything, all the while making a mockery of our foundation in the every day.

Going a totally new direction (but not really), here's a link that encapsulates the changes afoot -- and it comes out of NASA of all places.

Top of the list --  according to NASA -- of all things leading to total collapse of civilization as we know it?  The immoral action of income inequality and the immoral depletion of natural resources.

the thing is,
nearly every page we turn to dissects and illuminates the fraud in our midst...

speaking of Rules for Radicals, written by the Community Organizer in Chief for the ages, Saul Alinsky.

To understand how we --- America --- got here, is to fully comprehend, digest, and learn from Chapter 8...The Genesis of Tactic Proxy.

Beginning with this:

Who would have ever thought; never in America would it be thought possible for any of it to take root, let alone take the very shape of  the things to come.

The power of tactics --  compounded with the power of position, promises, and principles -- by accident,  through action and reaction,  by "necessity," and with improvisation  in tow --  the politicking of policy making by ideology and by number is continuously in motion, in action [sometimes by pen and by phone, other times, just by a State of the Union address, but most of the time, behind our back].

And speaking of which, how often do we actually take a look back?

How often do we take a double-take, and double check the progress, the results?

Their T-shirts and speeches glorify Marxist radicals Che Guevara, Emiliano Zapata and Chairman Mao. They lionize convicted death row cop killer Troy Davis and WikiLeaks collaborator Bradley Manning. They condemn "Nazi Bankers," Jews, Fox News, the American Legislative Exchange Council, Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker, the Koch family and the New York Police Department ("Pigs!"). So here's the thing -- and perhaps this is a first --  but do we have Nazi's condemning Nazi's?


While how is it possible that Nancy is sitting mum?  I thought Nazi's were bad (cuz they are) but just where is she on this?  The Occupy Wall Street protestors have actually come right out professing their allegiance to the dark side, leaving no room for any doubt.  Just where is Nancy denouncing every lock, stock and barrel in a sea of red?

No. Scratch that.  Who gives a flyin' *&$% where she stands.  I want to know where my American president is on this?

And lo and behold, we got a glimpse of where he plans on going with this just yesterday.  White House Spokesman, Josh Earnest, reassured Obama's supporters, saying, "the interests of the 99 percent of Americans [will be] well represented on the tour" [yes, another bus tour is underway as we speak]  Announcing the new narrative of the "99" which will undoubtedly be freely strewn about willy nilly in the next generation of speeches and townhall meetings.

And from our President, at the MLK Memorial, he gave us this to go on:

“As was true 50 years ago, as has been true throughout human history, those with power and privilege will often decry any call for change as divisive. They'll say any challenge to existing arrangements are unwise and destabilizing. You would think an African-American president in particular, and an American citizen, in general, would take exception to the Nazi Party, Communist Party of North America, and Socialist/Workers of the World Unite People's Party taking ownership of the Occupy Wall Street in any way, shape or form.  But then again, this is the way of Rules for Radicals -- this is "the difference between being a realistic radical and being a rhetorical one." Have you checked the balance of the checking account lately?  are you even remotely aware of how much money the U.S. Treasury takes in every month?


IF the stupid people take a moment to do the math, we would all realize (based on current revenues at 2.2 Trillion a year) that we bring in, at the very least, TWO HUNDRED BILLION each month.  The debt service, which must be paid first to avoid default, is about 30 B's.  The rest of that monthly cash flow amounts to somewhere around another 170 B's -- right?  I know, I know, it is a rough sketch.  ask me if I care. so hmmm...

what to do, what to do.  Should we pay, perhaps, our monthly entitlement payments next? Beginning with Social Security -- needing about 25 B's, then Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment...on down the line.

So what we do we have left?  We have at least 100 billion dollars left to pay for other important things =  like the Department of Defense -- our troops -- the vendors, the veterans affairs;  and then, maybe we'll even cover the paychecks of our fine Federal Employees (albeit, their importance, questionable).

Then from here on out, it should be fire-sale time; everything must go kind of thing.

Now, my breakdown is obviously loosely thrown together according to my little head; CNS News offers you a more critical eye, using actual numbers from May 16th through July 7 -- and for that, just go here.

And they reminded me of an interesting teeny tiny detail:  WE actually HIT the DEBT CEILING on MAY 16th.  Do you still have a roof over your head?  Did the sky fall down?  Are people rioting in the streets?  Did Social Security checks get mailed last week?  the week before?  the week before that? and again, the week before that?

exactly.

Smoke and mirrors.  Desperate times call for desperate measures.  The ends justify the means.  Fear mongering.  Creating a reason for class warfare -- making the civil society chaotic.   Telling outright lies to the American people.  Really?

If you fall for these tactics from this president, it isn't shame on him -- it is shame on you.

and then finally this morning, giving THE nod to things always happening in three's, THE prime minister of Portugal, Jose Socrates, said that if his austerity measures where not approved, he would resign -- and HE DID -- just yesterday...I have no quote to account for it other than my own little thought in my head...

'... wish that would happen here...wish we had a president drawing firm lines in the sand, taking serious austerity measures to heart and to task, adding of course, a personal liability factor that he would resign if such measures didn't pass...wish we had that...' (hold up, on a second thought...I am so funny)

It all boils down to the individual perspective, doesn't it? We all lead, or follow, according to our already, deeply ingrained, vast array of experiences, attitude, education, ideology, belief systems, and of course, if we are really really going to be honest, all they way down to what we really really want to believe -- what we trust to be our truth -- the whole truth -- and nobody else' truth.

Rest assured though, TRUTH, in and of itself matters; and like the great GB always says, it never picks sides -- it doesn't have an agenda -- truth is truth and never lies.

Fascinating is the article (along with the commentary, as expected) of an article on Yahoo! of all places -- and I point that out, as normally Yahoo's collection of writers leans left nearly every time; but this morning came a surprise piece, featuring a conservative viewpoint out of  THE  Creator's Syndicate, written by  THE Honorable Larry Elder, who happened to make apples to apples comparisons between basically then and now, in THE "Anti-Iraq War Bush-Haters Squirm to Justify Libya."

He was clear, and concise, and unemotional about it -- he simply laid it out, left and right, respective of the clear and present danger of the conundrum meeting the minds of lefty's everywhere; it is becoming a true humdinger to behold, that's for sure.

THE Elder, spins a tale, making even noses grow, and rattles off the rational of then and now with an ease and fluidity compared to none; in classic fashion, and only leaving us wanting more, he finishes with this:

"Call Libya the Obama doctrine: non-national security, non-congressionally approved military attacks are perfectly legitimate for humanitarian reasons. Except not for Iraq under President George W. Bush — who awaits his apology." 

...fine tuned by THE experiences of an Elder, everything gets down to how you look at it, and who's side you're on -- even if that means you have changed sides altogether (a.k.a. that's politics).

Who's side are you on, and why?  Do you even know anymore?  Which is the side of real truth -- inquiring minds really want to know....?

The ever so slight usurpation...some hidden from view...some thought proper and good for all the wrong reasons, yet now well enshrined into the public works years in the making...now coming back to haunt us, like a vicious regret gurgling up to bite back just when we thought we were through the worst part; unfair and cruel, really, for the assault happened a long time ago --  the fundamental principles upon which this country was made have been beaten down for so long now, we can hardly recognize ourselves anymore.

and yet, here in the valley of darkness, what should our wandering eyes should appear, a strange occurrence, an offering of reinforcement, of sorts, and it's happening all around -- so called "rights" are being co-mingled with privileges -- while one person's rights are deemed an outright assault on another -- while a machine feeding propaganda and falsehoods comes to us disguised as mainstream media, spoon-fed from an administration dishing out a peculiar ideology, a rather foreign combination,  far reaching into the annals of social justice reform, along side a fair portion of an overzealous progressive agenda, taking away our simple liberties and freedoms, and filling us up with everything but what we truly need.

And this is going to help?

And so here we are... a day after another President's Day...  cautiously optimistic about our future. oh joy.

And don't you just love that part about "from government down..." -- Alinsky's imagery, not mine; but honestly, failing to recognize, and respect, a founding principle should be forbidden, no?

America was designed from the power of the people UP -- you would think, from the sixties standpoint alone, radicals would have shaped the last forty years clinging to this very ideology, birthed by our founders and our inherent power to the people mentality, differently -- if not absolutely -- and with a resounding arm pump in the air, if not looking very much like a faction growing far and wide and simply called the Tea Party.

I love how the sales pitch on the back cover of Alinsky's "Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals" includes a quote from the Chicago Sun-Times:

"Alinsky's techniques and teachings influenced generations of community and labor organizers, including the church-based group hiring a young [Barack] Obama to work on Chicago's South Side in the 1980's...Alinsky impressed a young [Hillary] Clinton, who was growing up in Park Ridge at the time Alinsky was the director of the Industrial Areas Foundation in Chicago."

No kidding.
But no, pay no attention to the radical roots in office; never mind that the administration is back peddling as we speak, as to the federal government's own involvement in sending in the troops, through outfits such as Organizing for America, along with various Union members and leaders, from out of state even, to the Wisconsin state capital...in hopes for bringing the process to it's knees.

"The real action is in the enemy's reaction; the enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength; Tactics, like organization, like life, require that you move with the action..."  An Alinsky-ism strikes again.

And let us not forget Alinsky's famous "Thirteenth Rule: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

What has been the target of the last forty years, or so?   The pursuit of making our first principles obsolete -- beginning with our Constitution -- turning it's very intentions into a mockery, re-litigating the message, and convincing the American people that it is alive -- living actually -- and thus, must evolve to shape our brand new world.

That, along with attacking the fundamental ebb and flow of our free market principles, free enterprise, capitalism, and the founding  American belief that goes a little something like this:

"It was realized, of course, that some would prosper more than others.  That is inevitable as long as there is liberty.  Some would prosper because of talent, some because of good fortune, some because of inheritance, but most would prosper because of hard work
...[the] concept of 'freedom to prosper' was based on the belief that man's instinctive will to succeed in a climate of liberty would result in the whole people prospering together.
...The idea was to maximize prosperity, minimize poverty, and make the whole nation rich...Hard work, frugality, thrift, and compassion became the key words in the American ethic."

The 5000 Year Leap

About a week ago, our local paper came out with a study titled, "'13th Check' Pension Payouts: $73 Million" (this article just so happens to be coupled with, at a rate of nearly every day, of hundreds of other "watchdog" narration, highlighting one travesty after another of our country/state/city/pension/retirement/benefits/entitlements boondoggle...as in, someday how about telling us something  we don't know...whatever, better late than never) -- but basically, the gist of it gets down to how in the world could we have done this to ourselves!

The thought of distributing the modest return of investment -- when most of us would think twice before paying ourselves a bonus, even if fortunate enough to be experiencing a healthy market swing --  instead of being thrifty, and pouring profits back into the investment -- you know, for a rainy day, to build on our reserves, to roll it into something that might actually begin to pay for itself over the years...

but noooooooo, let's just cut a check. let's just call it the thirteenth check... even when unfunded liabilities are running amuck and at a time when San Diego is experiencing budget shortfalls and losses for a far as the eye can see.

oh sure, this benefit, the Thirteenth Check, was taking away in 2005, but we've got a long road ahead just to cover for the sheer lack of oversight and irresponsibility already knee deep -- while being unable to predict the next possible drought, blizzard, or gully washer on the horizon, our ability to navigate the days ahead fall directly on the good lord willin' and if the creek don't rise at this point.

I sincerely hope what is playing out in Wisconsin is duplicated across the land, from sea to shining sea; call it what you will, union-busting...and proud of it -- these "collective bargaining rights" under dispute in middle America, when push comes to shove, actually goes against the grander collective already a strong foothold and mainstay on these here parts... I reckon... and steady as a force to be reckoned with...

Collective bargaining for the rights of the rest of Wisconsin's taxpayers began to take hold at the mid-term elections; Governor Scott Walker campaigned and promised reform of union benefits and retirement packages; the mandate was spoken by ballot box -- and no matter how long you boycott, protest, march or yell and scream -- our republic is designed such that, if you have a grievance -- you act intelligently, with civility, and with proper decorum and due process.

Sorry...Wisconsin's leader is not Trumka of the AFL-CIO; it's leadership, and the powers that be, do not take heed to ridicule, stand firm, undaunted by the fearless vigilante assault by free radicals on the capital front lawn and veranda; but more important, the lives of our children -- and our children's children -- now burdened with unsustainable debt, is what's at stake.

After years of waging a committed assault against our free markets principles, after decades of negotiating reprehensible deals masked by the union label, we seem to be passing on to our children a system that goes against every principle of value, as the collective mission of our nation takes an unforeseen turn marked by fundamental transformation.

Let us not forget, our one true source for all that we ever need is within -- real empowerment is always within reach; organizing for America, the whole body of America, is much bigger, grander, than what merely scratches the surface by a few loose cannons in motion.

A war hero and purple heart recipient, Anthony Maschek, was heckled by an audience of his "peers" when he made comments that scared people ....even if his point of view came from a place of compassion, calling attention to a deeper, sinister plot in the real world-- certainly a reality hard to swallow for the ignorant and unaware, just show me to the next keg'r and I'm good;  of course, he was speaking on behalf of the mindful attacks, at the hands of radical Islamic extremists, who simply want to kill Americans and everything for which America stands; but make no mistake, America is also under attack of the worst kind -- from the inside out, and it has the power to turn us upside down if we let it...


As one thing's for sure, HUMAN NATURE never changes...our founders were kinda hoping we would never forget.

Happy Thursday x

And Happy Birthday to me, G.  It has been a full year of chiming in about America and all I have to add is WOW -- what a year it has been -- making overtures to a 1.4 trillion understatements indeed.

The irony that while catching up with Glenn Beck yesterday, he made reference to today being a big anniversary.  I thought to myself, as I began puffing out my chest only to be choked by my own arrogance, similar to the King I am I am in office, how could he know?  (i know, that really isn't funny, sounded better in my head)...ah yes, the anniversary of the first real blooper of our first black president, from which, little did he know came the first thought from G.

The opening line,

"where do we begin and how do we begin again, I ask myself."

Where I live, it is the Day After OPENING Day of the Races, in Del Mar. It is one of those local traditions that brings the seasonal influx of big hats and high balls, arriving as Bing Crosby sings by train or by car-- limo or beemer-- and away they go with a day of heavy drinking, gambling and the like. I really don't wanna sound cynical during these trying times, but it is a wonder when pondering the state of America and all of it's ills, worries and confusion how merriment still reigns a very high priority.



Of course, it is also the Day After the Presidential primetime address regarding the state of our healthcare system and his valiant push by our President Obama to "make it so", even if it rushes to harm us in the end. While just the idea of the Day After brings a sense of melancholy, as if to say that the party is over, time to heal the hangover, pop a pill and sleep it all off.

It is the day after something big, something planned, and that something is now over...it merely remains the Day After.

I have referenced the Day After scenario many times since then.  Today is going to be no exception; what with the mess created by this country's latest example of making a horrid rush to judgement -- individually, collectively, as grounds for removal from a job while the people watched in amazement; first and foremost, we entrust those in power to be mindful of the big picture, even if in tandem holding rather narrow pointed views, at all times. Having said that, this just in:

"When you look at their reporting, this is just another way of seeing that they are (racist)," Sherrod told me about Fox in a lengthy interview Tuesday night. "But I have seen that before now. I saw their reporting as biased during the Bush Administration and the Clinton Administration."

... "I am just a pawn. I was just here. They [Fox News] are after a bigger thing, they would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person."

Thank you, Joe, as in  Joe Strupp, journalist; he used Shirley, like a pawn no less, via the constant liberal stream of media matters -- propaganda press has never been so good.

You know, if Shirley actually watched Fox yesterday, or the day before, not to be confused with the Day After, she would have heard Glenn Beck go to her rescue -- he was the only one it would appear to have done his homework, unlike the rush of judgement by other, otherwise considered, responsible organizations; oh like, the NAACP, who rushed in...after Vilsack rushed to the pink slip....after conversing with the White House who rushed to relay that he better get rid of the issue (Shirley, pawn in the hot seat) immediately... before Glenn Beck has his way with her later in the day.

Puuuuuuulease.  Who is pawning who and how many times over?

And now there goes good old Shirley, running away with the story -- even after G came to her rescue as well, like just yesterday (doink on the head to me) -- escalating the race card even more, bearing false witness against an organization like Fox News , and while doing so, twisting the whole darn mess into another black hole of media frenzy.  Are you kidding me, Shirley?

Have you listened to Glenn lately?  He's just some white media guy on Fox, who by the way, was considered black enough to be a good white pawn for second spot on the list of "the blackest white folks we know" -- this according to Professor Gates website,  www.theroot.com/ ...

Oh my, how funny -- somehow we have come full circle:

It was a year ago that Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times asked the best question of the night, following the Presidential primetime address on the state of our Health Care system -- as the president rushed in to make his final push (one of many final pushes, but who's counting) in order to get the health care legislation passed before summer break (little did we know then, of the flurry of town hall meetings yet to ensue). Everything was a rush back then.

But it was that question at the end, unscripted of course, you may recall, the President made it a point to get to her (for lord knows, right, he had no idea what she was gonna say...yeah right...and if you believe that...I have a peanut farm in Georgia that just became available). 

This is how it went down:

Okay? All right. I tried to make that short so that Lynn Sweet would get her -- the last question in.
Q Thank you, Mr. President. Recently, Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. was arrested at his home in Cambridge. What does that incident say to you? And what does it say about race relations in America?

Excerpt of his answer:

...So far, so good, right? I mean, if I was trying to jigger into -- well, I guess this is my house now, so -- (laughter) -- it probably wouldn't happen.
(Chuckling.) But let's say my old house in Chicago -- (laughter) -- here I'd get shot. (Laughter.) But so far, so good. They're -- they're -- they're reporting. The police are doing what they should. There's a call. They go investigate. What happens?
My understanding is, at that point, Professor Gates is already in his house. The police officer comes in. I'm sure there's some exchange of words. But my understanding is -- is that Professor Gates then shows his ID to show that this is his house, and at that point he gets arrested for disorderly conduct, charges which are later dropped.


Now, I've -- I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home.

der it is.  A day that will live in infamy.

Now the entire transcript of the evening is worth another read; and funny thing, the one I found online is featured care of Lynn Sweet (ahh the synchronicity in that is simply beautiful).  Since we've come a long way baby since July 22, we all know that health care legistlation has passed, blah, blah, blah, but it is fascinating really, between what we know now, what he said then, and what lies ahead for us now, with regards to the days following Obama's latest addition to the team, mr. romantic of socialized medicine himself, Donald Berwick.  But I refuse to add misery to insult on this fine anniversary, so...
 
Let's see, let us try to regain a set of bearings here, maybe even, dare I say, come to a teachable moment or two --  Perhaps if the NAACP had not jumped to conclusions in the middle of the night, denouncing Shirley's speech as ferociously as the high speeding of it around the web (since, after all, THEY OWN the original taping of the Sherrod speech in question...perhaps taking a moment to review the full tape before jumping) might have been a wiser move;
 
and perhaps, if Tom Vilsack took a moment to review the entire situation, maybe even go so far as discuss the matter with Shirley, before making the call to call the White House;
 
and if perhaps, the White House, held back to allow for a full investigation (like they so often do, like at Fort Hood, perhaps, I don't know, just the first thing that came to mind) before conspiring to simply agree without more information;
 
then maybe, Fox News might have had half a chance to get it right, right from the start.  But, they reported the news that day -- and as it turns out -- Shirley Sherrod was asked to resign "before Glenn Beck" had a chance to say a word.  That is the truth.
 
To be fair and balanced, if Shirley watched Bill O'Reilly, he made a sincere apology to her out loud and often -- pending further review and more story to surface, of course...wonder what he will say about this tonight?
 
You know, Shirley, you were doing so well there for a moment; you had me at hello, with the sweetness of your voice, your retelling of the "pull over, pull over..." moment -- you had me. 
 
Then, overnight, you went there to the not so happy place and done der overreacted, using Fox News as a pawn, or would you rather call it your whipping boy?
 
Bravo, Shirley, Bravo; for by your own testimony, by holding to your roots so tightly, by being out of touch with what really goes on at Fox News -- and especially for commentary from people like Glenn Beck, who thoughtfully came to your rescue --  
 
for from this day forward, it will be your own words from JUST YESTERDAY that will stick with us, "they [Fox] would love to take us back...with black people looking down, not looking white folks in the face... and not be a whole person..." and to my dismay, the memory of an endearing black woman, who has witnessed atrocities of race relations that I could never imagine, who ultimately lived to tell a story about in front of the NAACP in March, and came out of it all,  how do you say, living in a new reality of "racial reconciliation" is lost from view. 
 
Did she overcome, really?  More than that, me thinks she owes Fox an apology.
 
This is a sad day.  Here we are -- a year into gthing -- an occasion that should be happy happy yeah me -- and all I can do is weep.  My heart is breaking for this land which we call home.  How in the world could I eat cake?
 
So let's try to bring this stupid day to a close.
 
Was Shirley thrown under the bus for a reason?  What means to an end is the result?  The memory of a book I once read, something about rules...radicals...riducule...the fundamental transformation of the three r's seems to be ringing in my ear.  Oh whatever. I'm sure it's just a mindless distraction, keeping me from the real truth.
 
Questions surround with regards to why Shirley didn't address the issue right away, given she was given a "heads up" days before it hit the mainstream. 
 
And just where is our leader in all of this?  If this doesn't call for a little presidential intervention -- perhaps a primetime address -- what will?  This is a time for cool heads to prevail -- and if we have learned anything in our teachable moments thus far, his is "cool as ever" (plugging Del Mar Race Track.  It's their slogan...kind of catchy isn't it... and what can I say, the occasion seemed to fit with the natural tie to my humble beginnings...)
 
But my guess, he won't be saying a word; I might even push the envelope and say he could very well be enjoying it (no, no, I got it, maybe he even helped orchestrate it, if only to drive the nail into Fox News at the tail end).

The White House has been on Fox News like white on rice since day one -- day after day after day.  And I just have to wonder, what do they care?  The umpteen other news organizations are in their corner, maybe even on their payroll, certainly are all round up nicely in a pretty little pack, called the  JOURNO-LIST. (that makes it easy for us, no?)
 
Why does Fox bother them so much?
 
Let's see, perhaps because it is the last bastion beholdened to the values of a fair and balanced press left (aside from a slew of conservative bloggers and news organizations on the world wide web, like me).
 
Media matters indeed. Good thing common sense still runs in the old blood stream.
