Dear America,
"It's just awfully good
that someone with the
temperament of Donald Trump
is not in charge
of the law
in this country."
she said.
"cuz you'd be in jail, "
he said.
but before I go on...let me just remind you all that I AM a GIRL.
...just a girl. her name is Gretchen. a day in the life of an American Girl...right?
having said that,
this girl is pretty sure the debate started off displaying America's stunning low point in culture and politics -- colliding.
This girl is also pretty sure, that we're a decade past the Donald speaking freely about his love of attractive women with such passionate vulgarity (see tape from 2005...google it).
Can you believe that it was January 26, 2005 when Condoleezza Rice was sworn in as Secretary of State -- the first African-American woman in the position, by the way. Doesn't that seem like a lifetime ago?
And just look at America now...in the wake of a Secretary of State who destroyed relations throughout the Middle East, ignored hundreds of requests from Ambassador Stevens for more security in Benghazi -- which led to the terrorist attack and death of four Americans, -- and now , there she stands on a stage across from the Donald with a smarmy smile repeating some version of 'what you just heard is simply not true...'
I looked up 2005; it was so long ago, nothing was coming to mind just off the top of my head, so this girl went searching for context.
In 2005, Prince Charles proposed to Camilla, too.
In April of 2005, Syria finally withdrew the last of its troops from Lebanon, ending 29 years of occupation (...only after receiving international pressure; and wow, just look at Syria now...).
In May, the Huffington Post was launched.
In June, Michael Jackson was acquitted of committing molestation of a young boy, Gavin.
In July, a public transport system in London was hit by a terrorist bomb, killing 52 and injuring 700 during the morning rush hour.
In August, Hurricane Katrina. Category 5, killing 1,836 people.
In September, controversial pictures of Mohammad were printed in a Dutch paper.
In October, Saddam Hussein goes on trial for "crimes against humanity."
November -- Angela Merkel becomes the first female Chancellor of Germany.
December -- the movie, "Brokeback Mountain," was released.
As the world turns, all things considered, 2005 was a long time ago...a lot has happened since then; and clearly, the Donald is in a different place and time these days. Are you the same person you were eleven years ago? Are you? tell the truuuuth
No matter how much we may all agree that what the Donald said to Billy Bush was unquestionably crude, offensive, disrespectful of women...blah blah blah...let us not forget the Donald's sex, shall we? He is a boy. Pretty sure he's all boy, too.
But to be more specific of the moment -- and granted, at the risk of sounding like I'm repeating myself much like the Donald -- the Donald was talking to another boy!! (Kinda ironic that it's a boy with the last name, Bush, but then maybe that's just me, G, going gutter gal. whatever. me thinks it's funny. teehee)
So having said that...let's talk about the business of boys talking to boys -- ergo "locker room talk."
Pretty sure if we had every secret, private conversation between Bill Clinton and fill in the blank...his sexy southern drawl would say something salacious and lewd, too. (Actually, now that I'm thinking about it....Thinking of what he might have said aboard Jeffrey Epstein's private jet...the "Lolita Express," as it's called in some circles. Epstein being a CONVICTED sex offender, favoring underage girls... )
And really, if we go down that road, isn't it more a concern what a President Billy Boy Clinton did to women over a lifetime? His RECORD of "womanizing" sure didn't keep him from entering the highest office of the land; and it only seemed to finally adversely affect him -- with an impeachment, no less -- when caught carousing with Monica Lewinsky -- and a cigar -- while in the Oval Office!
Just what did Hillary call her? A "narcissistic loony toon."
Let's look at Hillary's record of how she discredited each and every conquest of Hill's Bill probably dating back their entire marriage... She talks about bullies all the time; meanwhile, she's the biggest bully in politics, both private and public.
Here's HER, Hillary...oh the horror...
Pretty sure Hillary is rather selective of when she chooses to honor a woman's right to choose to speak up about sexual assault -- and when she does, it's each girl for herself; she double-downs when the source her pain is Hillary's own dear husband (that link above quotes a common nickname she used for the dude...it's simply too vulgar to repeat it...).
Pretty sure she has no leg to stand on, all credibility goes out with her 2005 Nina McLemore pantsuit collection. This ain't your grandma's election re-cycle, no more, no more. And here's a good old piece, from months ago -- under the category follow the money.
I just want to know what makes Trump's situation so different from all the rest of the nonsense said and done between the sexes? Talk about easy Access Hollywood -- it's famous for objectifying women every single day! [Why the hypocrisy too -- TV hosts are always attractive, weight is always an issue of job or no job, and CNN made fun of the fat Miss Universe too!]
Moreover, sexuality itself sells goods and services across the board.
And the truth is, boys will be boys; they've been made that way from the beginning of time. And while they're at it....you know, being boys -- they say the darnedest things. From sailors on leave to frat boys to locker room banter and bragging of things true and untrue -- where do we draw the line? Just what is allowed to be said in private and kept private -- and what is up for public opinion and ultimate castigation? Because the Donald wasn't committing a crime by talking about what he would like to do...when in the company of an attractive woman.

Let thee without sin cast the first stone.
No. Anderson. You missed a key admission: "when you're a star, they let you do it." Believe it or not, the Donald isn't doing anything wrong if a woman let's him move in on her and makes out with him. It's called consent. And when you're rich and famous, there is not a doubt in my mind that that is all the aphrodisiac some girls need, k? Do you understand that, Coop? The Donald bragged about getting somewhere with a girl due to his widespread appeal -- meaning, the two tango.
Matter of fact -- what about the girl? even girls have been known to talk trash alongside a girlfriend or two, over drinks perhaps, comparing experiences and talking lusty, filthy intentions like the foursome made famous in Sex in the City. Hello!
Now, let's go back to the top --
we had a debate that greatly focused on the salacious right from the start.
Was that for ratings, perhaps? Keeping the eyes glued to the boob tube, indeed.
You bastards are no different. IF you really wanted to keep the presidential debate going by way of the high road, why stoop so low? A hot mic from ELEVEN years ago? Really? Why not wait for the candidates to wade into the filthy swamp on their own? Why not keep the focus on the more important things -- why not grill HILL for what she says in private and what she says in public, eh? Isn't that equally as bad -- all things being equal between the sexes and all.
What about just keeping it to questions on the economy...jobs...schools...strengthening the family and communities...the importance of honoring our police and first responders at a time when they are being targeted and killed...the porous border that mocks our sovereign nation and the Rule of Law....the national debt of twenty trillion dollars and the unfunded liabilities totaling over 100 trillion and unconscionably leading our economy into a ditch, being unable to fund for the long term things like medicare, social security, etc... All of which being at a titillating point....I mean, tipping point. Pardon me. Sorry for that. xxx
All the world is a burlesque stage, perhaps;
but surely it couldn't take its eyes off Washington University and the farce of American politics on display, and just how low we go -- with the mainstream media being on the bottom, while ironically, playing the role on top at the same time as the high priced pimp daddies. You media moguls and big time networks get paid from selling sex in some form or another...every single fucking day. [right new york times? that F-bomb is for you.] And all the while -- the liberal political bias continues to make headlines with short hemlines, the shorter the better. In simple terms -- in terms you can understand, Anderson -- that is an assault against the intelligence of the American people. And if I can be more crude -- the American people seem to be taking it up the ass all the live long day.
There.. I said it. And I'm not sorry.
This girl is just sick of it.
As a blogger -- I can say whatever I want. It's a good thing.
But as journalists, you can't pick and choose the truth; as journalists, you can't pick sides, unless you disclose it.
Hot mics notwithstanding, it's just a shame what is going on in the light of day in America.
The loss of a genuine, impartial media is evidence of how far America has fallen; next stop, the bottom of a deep throat, never to be seen again. Forensics prove the media to be libel, in part, for just this kind of scenario playing out right before our eyes -- brace yourself, as it's a wee bit obscene:
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”― Alexander Fraser Tytler
Bondage.
And that's not a good kind of bondage, either; just sayin'
The thing is, the ONLY choice America has now is the Donald and that super hot VP of his, Hot Mic Pence (give me five minutes with him and this girl will do things to that boy...might just eat him up and down....and that's just the truth....or not. Truth is, I'm just poking fun at how easy it is to mouth off).
Make it a Good Day, G
...who knew my catch phrase at the end of each day would be tied to one thing Hillary said that I happen to agree with wholeheartedly - - "we are great because we are good."
and yet...are we good anymore? It's just a good question. Don't hate.
