It's Just Two Things to Read Thing. Really.

Dear America,

so feeling a wee bit under the weather ....came on yesterday and has seemed to have settled in like a long winter's nap.  spring equinox, not so fast....

soooo,
cue the reading material to peruse, use and muse at your discretion,

The first thing begins with this opening:

First he comes for the banks and health care, uses the IRS to go after critics, politicizes the Justice Department, spies on journalists, tries to curb religious freedom, slashes the military, throws open the borders, doubles the debt and nationalizes the Internet.
He lies to the public, ignores the Constitution, inflames race relations and urges Latinos to punish Republican “enemies.” He abandons our allies, appeases tyrants, coddles adversaries and uses the Crusades as an excuse for inaction as Islamist terrorists slaughter their way across the Mideast.
Now he’s coming for Israel.
Barack Obama’s promise to transform America was too modest. He is transforming the whole world before our eyes. Do you see it yet?

For the rest, go to the NY Post, Michael Goodwin, here.

The next thing is a real doozy and may just require a couple of days -- given the length of material itself and the weight of the message that comes along for the ride.

It's called What ISIS Really Wants, by Graeme Wood --   @ The Atlantic.  Go HERE.
It's amazing what we know.  No?

sooooo
have at it.
Don't waste another minute.

Go.
I need to gargle now.

Make it a Good Day, G

Dear America,

You see, the sea has changed, big time; we all get that now...even the President will get it... eventually.  Things like that take time.

The thing is, as of about midnight, eastern time, Tuesday -- the GOP became the party of dominance; Obama and is merry band of socialist cohorts, pirating legislation in a sea of red ink, all of a sudden needs the GOP more than they need him.

And WE can wait.

We have all the time in the world; what we, the people, along with those who represent us in Washington, got on Tuesday with the good moon rising, was an oxygen tank -- with enough air to go, oh, I'd say, another couple of years -- maybe more, if we don't panic; as long as we think straight, and methodically, and take long deep breaths in between listening to our surroundings, observing the minute details hidden deep within the crevasses and rocks, looking out for what may bring further harm -- or better still, what might have the potential to change everything.

Yes, we've got time, and yet, we must get right on it; but the pressure is off.  The GOP has graciously accepted the challenge of taking on the resounding voice of redemption, holding tight to what we firmly believe is the power of the people (at least so we think); the sentiments of we the people rang out loud and clear across this nation Tuesday -- but only if you were really listening -- only if your senses were sharp -- only if you really wanted to hear what the people had to say...otherwise you would have missed it or missed out on getting re-elected.

The thing is, the people can breathe now; we know that the GOP has our back and his putting a halt to the wide sea of overreach, intrusive government action, wanton spending, and the sense that the sky's the limit while the oceans are bottomless after four years under Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, compounded by the last  couple of years fully engaged under the Obama-Mao in good measure.  The changes were happening so "fast and furious" according to Obama, they had to act, they had to do it, they had to put America in harm's way over troubles waters -- "it was an emergency."

Nancy has "no regrets," espoused in all sincerity to Diane Sawyer.

And for Obama,

"as I said before, though, I think we’d be misreading the election if we thought that the American people want to see us for the next two years re-litigate arguments that we had over the last two years."
Oh my,  once an attorney, always an attorney, even if his license isn't up to date.

Wake up! Snap out of it! You are running on empty, Dude (we can call him that now, I capitalized it out of respect).   Hey, center of the earth to Big O, mayday, you will never make it back to the top if you don't turn back now...

The seas have changed, marking the GOP controller of the clear and present danger of the gulf in between -- but make no mistake, we and the GOP can sit it out for as long as it takes (kind of like the Taliban in Afghanistan, they can wait until July 2011...heck, that's like six months away really... you know, since we're nearly at the holidays and all... we all know how fast the time goes...but I digress).

Mitch McConnell said it best,

"But we can compel administration officials to defend this indefensible health spending bill and other costly, government-driven measures, like the stimulus and financial reform."
Brilliant.  Yes, we choose to "re-litigate" -- because we never liked it, all of it, in the first place.

The thing is, for Obama and his left wing zealots, ideological committed and connected to the same line of hot air and questionable substantive material inside and out -- they simply don't believe in the constant, tried and true principles of America for which She stands; the simple embodiment of that natural element, which sometimes fails, but more often triumphs, under a truly free market, clinging to our inherent faith and belief system, one that reigns in the Absolute and comes up from the depths of our souls in a spirit of constant revolution, for freedom and liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all -- for THAT, is simply not in their DNA.

At best, Pelosi is in denial;  Obama is in denial; or they don't really care, there is that.

But if they think, that for one second, that this midterm election and all that it represents, is not a reflection of disgrace upon the faces of the American people, is not an absolute repudiation of the "fundamental transformation" of our dear United States of America -- then, I don't know what will -- do our mugs physically have to turn purple and puff up like a blow fish in order to get through?  really?  seriously?  are you people that dense?  are you for real, or have you come up, out of Atlantis, from another time and place?

The GOP knows deep down that the people will stand with them as long as they act according to what the people really, really want.  did you hear that?  that was a great big sigh of relief ventilating freely from the bottom of my heart, from the center of my being...ahhhhh yes. we can all take a step forward and breathe again.

Obama needs the GOP more than the GOP needs him -- everybody in Washington knows that now.  The GOP will take their time, methodically placing each and every official on the hot seat to simply answer a few questions; questions like, what on earth were you thinking?  how do you expect us to pay for that?  what logical explanation do you have to forfeit the future of our children in such a reprehensible way? did you really think you were gonna get away with this?  how could you lie and manipulate and force such fundamental changes through without care -- without thinking about how your words and your actions have consequences?  Have you no soul?  Questions like that, but I'm sure to have left a few out...

Take your time GOP -- the people will be sit back and watch, patiently, maybe with a bag of popcorn wishing you all looked like Johnny Depp, just knowing that we have added a couple years to our life just by re-calibrating the tank is enough for now.

It's a good feeling.  Almost euphoric. Probably something similar and familiar to how the left took it all in when they voted this fine specimen into office...

Oh my, it's just a sad day when a President misreads 67% of the population; what he should do, is brush up with just how much leverage the power of two-thirds really means -- or not, who am I to judge.

We the people, thanks to a shot of fresh air from the GOP joining forces with the Tea Party Movement, demonstrably placed the power back in the people's hot little hands, and now we've got all the time in the world (well, not exactly, but it's a start); the wind is at our back, it is morning in America, and we have set sail in a whole new direction, back on course with our foundation, to the great origins of our birth -- the President is welcome to come on board at any time -- join us, the water's fine.

But I would be remiss not to mention, that as long as the GOP understands the dynamics of this temporal, fluid relationship, we'll all get along just fine.  2012 looms large and deep.

For you, Mr. President, go ahead and continue to misread, miss the signs, miss that ever so slight hint of a sea change (hardly slight, but whatever) -- ignore the fact that the soft breeze at your back is telling you something, hoping you will change a wee bit, and quite possibly switch sides, to completely and purposefully come about. Go ahead.

Hmm that's funny...

You seem to be sticking to those worn out mechanisms found only in the gallows of some obscure realm, holding tight to some kind of collective social justice, a redistribution of wealth of all sorts, a mindset not normally associated with America;
it's as if your intention is to tap into the underworld of some kind of inferior process, linked to the lowest common denominator, or something;
it's strange, really;
clinging to a belief system untethered to anything of sound principle,
refusing to heed to the uncommon wealth of the learned men who have steadfastly come before,
recognizing the fundamental truths of a limited government,
and intrinsically connected to a natural law
divined by our Creator.

That's funny; cause you speak like you understand this core faith to God and Country, but really, your actions say something else; how it tears you up so; how you go about, every day, making this feeble attempt to truly BE this kind of president, the more twisted your passageway of free-flowing fresh air seems to turn.

It's only understandable, to cause this uncomfortable, yet notably, self-inflicted hyperventilation you seem to be experiencing; it appears to be manifesting out from the actual formidable thought of meeting somewhere in the middle, of making any kind overture whatsoever, to painstakingly overreach to the other side, that seems cause for what ails; the more you try to disguise it, manipulate it, control it, or try to appear to HAVE something that is clearly, inherently, not in you -- the more it seems to be messing you up. Perhaps it is just a bit of the bends; but perhaps it is something more, something hidden from view, something that lies deep inside you...that is uncommon to the common man.

What the people see, and most assuredly at this point you don't, is we refuse to go down with the ship; no -- correction, we refuse to go down period.  We refuse to go to the depths that you seem to gravitate to and revel in, while we know, the ship itself, is just fine.  We just will not follow you; that is not in our nature; where you wish to take us is simply a place where we will not go, at least, not without kicking and screaming.

But you go on ahead, go on your merry little way down ...down...down; we the people will catch up with you on the other side -- I mean, the other, other side, not to be confused with your other left;  and just maybe, if the good Lord willin', we'll all have a good laugh and a story to tell for years and years in the afterlife.

Dear America,

This congress of ours is stupid; and brazenly, as THE deciding vote -- at just a hair out of place past midnight -- as the campaign trail was more pressing -- Nancy, in stellar, partisan, pasty-face and botox buffooned-eyed fashion, adjourned the house.  The vote 210-209.

The decision to adhere to the Bush Tax Cuts for all, postponed.

So, this is what we can look forward to:  once the house it taken over by conservatives, come November 2, we fix it (say it like a Russian spy).

In the meantime, we have a community organizer - in - chief, rolling up his shirt sleeves, meeting with friendly fire in backyard pow wows, never knowing what bows and arrows will come at him.  Case in point, the fair maiden who dared to ask, "why are you a christian?"

Again, isn't it alarming enough that we are in a position to ask such a question?  Does this give anybody else the willy's, or is it just me?

To be in a place when everyday families are struggling with the economic downturn (s), showing even more angst over health care and its costs than ever before, lacking all confidence in where we are headed as a nation, questioning the knee jerk reactions of a president from everything from a police officer acting stupidly in Massachusetts, to dimwit underwear bombers in Michigan, to Allah-loving, nut case, army doctors in Texas, to religious fanatics raising victory mosques in New York, to making mindless, blanketed oil drilling  moratoriums in the Gulf and beyond...we get someone questioning the president's christian roots, scalping the very integrity of his beliefs????

and no dance around the fire whatsoever; whoosh, as if you didn't see it coming, having only felt the breeze behind the ear; what just happened?

um ahh um ahh

"my Christianity [you know] is by choice."  (so it's the really smart man's Christianity, not just some aimless, d***less, spineless, pointless, ridiculous follower of Jesus Christ, like so many of you ignoramus Americans are born and raised.)

um ahh um ahh

"[you know, it's kindof a funny story] my family didn't... ahh ... frankly...they weren't folks that went to church every week."  (maybe cuz, your mom was raised with parents who took her to 'the little red church' on the hill, was naturally drawn to questioning faiths of all kinds, blown over with romantic feelings for Marx in school... that is until she found herself totally love struck and smitten with Obama Sr. and made you --  stark reality meeting with the mystery of his Muslim heritage...soon overshadowing whatever belief she may have been born with, paving the way for the entire village to takeover the raising of her son)

um ahh um ahh

"my mother, is one of the most spiritual people I know [but how could you...you hardly knew her]..."  ( not to take away from my father's faith, for I believe that too -- and not to diminish that which I felt, for my friend, and father figure, really my mentor in Rev. Jeremiah Wright...twenty years there, you know, he presided over my marriage, my girl's baptisms...he taught me everything I know about Jesus Christ...in being my brother's and sister's keeper, to treat others as I would want to be treated...you know... that my salvation is reliant on the collective salvation...) let's stop there, as it is giving me a headache.

You know what's funny, is when Bill Maher talks about faith.

Now he is one smart guy, by golly; he's got it going on upstairs, that Bill Maher, you know what I mean?

Okay, so blah blah blah, we all know that Bill Maher holds his disdain for the "religious right" so tight to his chest, he's should have had a heart attack four years ago; but let's go ahead and dig into this some more anyway.

He said last night, with Bill O'Reilly, "I like it when a president uses his brain...and not his faith, his heart, or his gut."  Translation: Bush is stupider than Obama, Obama is smarter than Bush -- hands down.

This is where things get sticky now for the president -- that is when confronted with acting in faith, bearing testimony of his Christianity, so to speak -- the bows get crossed.

Ooopsy daisy, gotta curb some of my Christianity, in front of my staunch liberal left base (the elitists who are way too smart for a belief in God) and yet, on the other hand, I have to sound like I'm like one of the 80% of normal everyday Americans.  hmmmm  what a quandary.

Now, according to Mr. Bill, an avid follower of the Chosen One, Obama-san, you are dumber than dumb if you are a believer in God (so he must really be squirming with the latest confessions of a president of faith, or is this a faith of a different color, kind, category, heritage unknown ) -- oh, and fyi, there are no fanatics on the left (he says) no extremism whatsoever, no movement, nothing remotely close to the Tea Party lunatics, consisting entirely of right wing racist rabble rousers.  Oh my Maher, thank God you do not rule my world; how empty it must be, to be inside your head.  Talk about giving somebody the willy's...

hold up a minute while I attempt to shake this off...

this president of ours is so freaking confused -- is has come full circle, gone round in circles, hopped over the circle, dismissed there ever was a circle -- he is so out there now, so far, that even the resident witch doctor doesn't know what to do.

What somebody should be telling him is to shut up; stop, just stop. Go out into the woods for forty days and forty nights, and find yourself; pretty soon this will all be over, the elections will have come and gone, and all this will be behind you; just stop. Go out and get yourself together, buddy -- as, quite frankly, with you, like this, you're just in no shape to be showing up even one more day. Dare I say, somebody needs a burning bush and a re-birthing.

What we expect of you, at top of the totem poll and not to be confused with the latest AP polling, is that a real Chief sits and leads -- oh thee of so little faith, a faith so unrecognizable, we have to stop and ask you about it to be sure; and then again, maybe it's just a case of things being cloudy because you have lost your head to too many special interests, keeping too few convictions, having not a lick of understanding of either your role or the true essence of what Americans really want, having completely and regularly disappointed us; oh how you continue to find a way to agitate and annoy, is beyond me. Oh, where oh where is our Loretta Castorini now...for I'm telling you, just snap out of it already. (that would only make sense if you have read G in the last few days; not that I always make sense; but it's my blog, I can say what I mean and mean what I say any way I please... but lets move on.org)

Perhaps it is the very lack of existence -- of the attributes and inherent truths of both being an American President and a Christian Truth-er, that has the audacity of showing, dear one. Did your mother teach you this -- or is this all dear old dad? or would that be the step dad? or the grandmother you held in contempt for being white? or the mentor of twenty years through Black Liberation Theology? or simply those you CHOSE to associate with while community organizing around Chicago?

Who made you into this man we see today? Who do you credit the most?

For this is the crux of the matter -- and we never thought it would ever come to this, as we surely had no way of seeing this coming -- but the fact remains: we question who you really, really are.  And the irony, really, it should  have been enough to say "(you) CHOSE (it)" -- as if you deserve a prize, or something.

We thought you were one thing, and we got something else; but somewhere between the latest version of voodoo economics, and the divisive, derisive, contemptuous attacks against our very unity, as a people, we the people have come to realize we've been dooped.  You are not the bi-partisan, uniter-in-chief we thought we welcomed into the middle of our circle; you do not deserve to lead at all.  We all turned into bumbling fools, fawning and fantasizing over you like there was no tomorrow -- and this is what we get?

It is hard to pretend, isn't it; nothing could have prepared you for what you were expected to be, to each and every one of us.  You didn't see it coming; and yet, to this day, you still have no idea what it is about you that sends our head spinning in all different directions.

Or do you?  And you go ahead and do it anyway.

You see, the gig is up, Little man Tall President who is running out of enough arrogance to keep your psyche afloat; your reputation precedes you and your pathological progressive agenda leads you, like no other president has ever come before.  We know this to be true, as people like F***-the-stupid Willy Maher to  Little Bridge Willy Ayers, along with a couple of Two Trillion Ton Ninny's like Pelosi and Reid, continue to circle up the wagons around you, sitting all cross legged and bug-eyed amongst your loyal collective peers (or is that follower).  We know this to be true; which is why we sit -- transformed (thank you for that) -- and question you.

but let me be clear,

it's really not about the money, or the Christianity, or even if you still smoke...while I'm quite sure, as I wasn't born yesterday, that you are well enough aware and smart enough to know better.

The problem we have now is that its any one's guess as to who you really are -- and that goes especially for you; not that we've got time for this -- for we thought we knew you knew -- but God's speed in getting right on that and figuring it out.

I think I speak for all Americans, when I say, we will take you any old way it turns out -- we're kinda cool like that; what we have difficulty with, much like the battered economy, is the uncertainty (and you possibly being a bonafide fraud) -- but it is the question in the back of our minds after the never ending full frontal lobotomy that keeps chipping away at the core belief, out of the simple everyday, run of the mill, mishaps and indiscretions against the grain.

Knockin' on the noggin', that perhaps on the last couple of days with Emanuel, he might suggest... nudging ever so slight... a nice long walk in the woods.

Make it a Good Day, G
