It's About Going Back to Genesis for the Sake of Our Future Thing

Dear America,

ugh
here we go.

Joyfully standing at the bully pulpit of the new and fundamentally transformed America, a president must subdue his natural urge to gloat. [oh and how!]  So lets just get right to it and begin with excerpts of President Obama's speech, the speech following the Supreme's decision to make Same-Sex Marriage the law of the land, and thereby allowing five people to decide the fate of gay marriage for all Americans, to be revered in all 50 states, effective immediately:

I know that Americans of good will continue to hold a wide range of views on this issue. Opposition, in some cases, has been based on sincere and deeply held beliefs. All of us who welcome today’s news should be mindful of that fact and recognize different viewpoints, revere our deep commitment to religious freedom.

But today should also give us hope that on the many issues with which we grapple, often painfully, real change is possible. Shift in hearts and minds is possible. And those who have come so far on their journey to equality have a responsibility to reach back and help others join them, because for all of our differences, we are one people, stronger together than we could ever be alone. That’s always been our story.

We are big and vast and diverse, a nation of people with different backgrounds and beliefs, different experiences and stories but bound by the shared ideal that no matter who you are or what you look like, how you started off or how and who you love, America is a place where you can write your own destiny.

I love how he stipulates that the "opposition" to gay marriage "has been based on sincere and deeply held beliefs" only "in some cases;"  and in other cases, we must assume, opposition is what, Mr. President? Just plain old, ordinary, run of the mill, bigotry?

I love how he says, "all of us who welcome today's news should be mindful of that fact and recognize different viewpoints, revere our deep commitment to religious freedom."  It all sounds pretty gracious of him, no?   [He's been waiting for so long....having been FOR it (circa '96), before he had to be against it (circa 2008), before he could be for it again (2012)...takes so much energy, you know, living a lie over and over and over.]

But then we get to a BUT; and you know what they say about the input of a but -- it erases everything you said before it; it becomes meaningless.  And what one truly means to say, and wants to say, is whatever one chooses to say after the BUT.

Did you see what I did there, or no?

And so in this case and after the BUT, the president said this --

"But today should also give us hope...real change is possible.  Shift in hearts and minds is possible.  And those who have come so far on their journey to equality have a responsibility to reach back and help others join them..."  Because surely, it's those people -- those people who cling to their religion (and guns, right), and any other archaic beliefs which seem to fit -- those are the people who require the  hope and change.

I love how the Left only wants to co-exist with the "big and vast and diverse" when all that is big and vast and diverse lies within the Left's domain; in other words, everything that is big and vast and diverse except the conservative, Christian, religious right.  Hell, scrap the conservative and the right, and simply keep it to those who call themselves Christian.

He says, "a nation of people with different backgrounds and beliefs, different experiences and stories but bound by the shared ideal that no matter who you are or what  you look like, how you started off or how and who you love, America is a place where you can write your own destiny."   Yeah, unless you actually believe in the Bible, or something.  Unless you actually believe in the cultural creation, with lawful precedence mind you, of traditional marriage, and brought forth with the joining of one man and one woman make.  If you happen to be of THAT background, or THAT experience, then may God help you, right?

Because if you are THAT person -- and quite possibly a florist, a baker, or pizza pie maker -- forget about having any kind of religious liberty.   Matter of fact, forget about having your business stay in business.

Here's a quote going down memory lane -- and now skipping back about seven years:

'It's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or anti-trade sentiment, as a way to explain their frustrations.'

Isn't it ironic that back in 2008 -- and long before election night -- the campaigning president-elect gave us the quintessential hint into his psyche; in one sentence, he encapsulated the hot mess of shades to come!  And how about that -- now 2015 --  how nothing has changed and how everything's changed; freakingly interchangeable, the same domestic issues are riddled with an underpinning of arrogance and disgust, then and now.

Now, although he later apologized, this marginalizing of  "the middle" and especially the middle America who clings to things has not ceased, and if anything, has only accelerated.

And about that apology, this is how he put it:
'I said something everybody knows is true, which is there are a whole bunch of folks in small towns in Pennsylvania, in towns right here in Indiana, in my home town in Illinois, who are bitter,' he said on a visit to Muncie, Indiana. 'So I said when you're bitter, you turn to what you can count on. So people vote about guns, or they take comfort from their faith and their family and their community,' he said. 'Now, I didn't say it as well as I should have. If I worded things in a way that made people offended, I deeply regret that.'

And for anyone who doubted, or held any concern, as to what the president meant when he said, "we are five days away from fundamental transformation" --  and likewise, questioned the intent behind Michelle Obama telling a crowd in Puerto Rico (also while on the campaign trail) things like this:

"he [her husband] is exactly the person he appears to be"

"we are going to have to make sacrifices...
change our conversation....
change our traditions, our history...."

and "he is the man to do it."

No kidding.

Stealing a comment or two from Chief Justice Roberts, upon his dissent:

Understand well what this dissent is about: It is not about whether, in my judgment, the institution of marriage should be changed to include same-sex couples. It is instead about whether, in our democratic republic, that decision should rest with the people acting through their elected representatives, or with five lawyers who happen to hold commissions authorizing them to resolve legal disputes according to law. The Constitution leaves no doubt about the answer.
The Supreme's are not to write law --  but to interpret the law in order to resolve conflict of that which is already written into law; and precedence is paramount.  And what does precedence show, pray tell?  200 years...2000 years...5000 years...of traditional marriage and family.

And not to mention, that little itty bitty detail of the power to the people and the individual state to decide -- not five lawyers, as the good justice duly noted.  I mean, why didn't they just legalize pot and take away guns and make the call to burn the Bible all at the same time?  But I digress.

Continuing, the Chief Justice grapples with making that shift in heart and mind, lamenting:

If you are among the many Americans — of whatever sexual orientation — who favor expanding same-sex marriage, by all means celebrate today's decision. Celebrate the achievement of a desired goal. Celebrate the opportunity for a new expression of commitment to a partner. Celebrate the availability of new benefits. But do not celebrate the Constitution. It had nothing to do with it.
Exactly.

The thing is,
marriage is not a right.  And if marriage is not a right, then gay marriage is not a right.

Even though our definition of marriage was at one point protected as between a man and a woman and written into law by the people's house, the courts took it apart and opened the door for a re-address all the way around.

Which begs the question --
Why wasn't the "civil union"  enough to declare their love?
Why did the gay community come after traditional marriage?

Marriage is not a right, and the court got this wrong.

...Just as healthcare is not a right.

...Just as a balanced meal three times a day is not a right.

Now certainly, there are ways to mediate the differences of experiences; there are ways to promote healthy relationship in mind, body, and soul with a reality that supports all people, of all backgrounds, of all faiths and beliefs, in order to co-exist...and not just co-exist, but affirm true life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.   But that opportunity, through the will and the heart and the compassion of the people, is continually being shut down.  And in it's place -- we get an unfettered government, hopped up on a liberal social justice agenda with judicial activism as backup, along with the malicious intent to change America in every way... from our holidays to our traditions to our history itself.

And if you are among the many Americans — of whatever sexual orientation — who favor expanding same-sex marriage, by all means celebrate today's decision. Celebrate the achievement of a desired goal. Celebrate the opportunity for a new expression of commitment to a partner. Celebrate the availability of new benefits.  But just don't expect a cake to be baked from a baker who simply can't support a ceremony of  an unholy matrimony according to their own worldview and faith and moveon.org.

We just need to reach back...

and go back to a time when we respected the right,
the left,
and that big hefty portion in the middle.

Because, just as the president said,

"I know that Americans of good will
continue to hold
a wide range of views on this issue."

It's not going to be easy, going back to the egg, beginning brand new.

It's going to require a whole lot of reconciliation.

Perhaps a good vacation from it all...maybe time with a good book.

Summer is a good time to recommit to the things that matter.

Healthy marriages,
Happy families.
Authentic lives of all colors...
Strong community re-organizing.

One Nation, Under God.

Things are slowly becoming more clear.

It's about going back to Genesis, for the sake of our future.

"And now these three remain:
faith, hope, love.
But the greatest of these is love."
1 Corinthians 13:13

Make it a Good Day, G

It's About Being Masters of Duplicity, the Whole Kit and Caboodle, Thing

Dear America,

here's a little reminder, people...

America was AND is designed to allow all religions to live together in peace...
and with such a mandate, dating back a couple hundred of years, America was truly unique.  Some might even say, exceptional.

That is until living freely and openly Under God became a lightning rod for hate -- coming under attack by progressives tearing down our traditions and holidays almost on a daily basis, along with Atheists and other Freedom From Religion enthusiasts making it their mission to take any belief, and all evidence thereof, of God down.........and not like a lamb, but with a vengeance. [It's weird, really, as nondescript as "God" Itself truly Is -- but where it should not matter the packaging, the exercising, or the label attached...the consensus seems sharply focused upon attacking Christianity.  Can I get a witness?]

America was AND is designed to have personal freedom in the FREE EXERCISE of our religion AND in our FREE EXERCISE of no religion...that is until said free exercise (whether we agree with it or not) suddenly costs 150K.

America was AND is designed with a government respective of a Natural Law in place -- with a knowing that SOMETHING GREATER than humanity endows each member of our society UNALIENABLE RIGHTS with NO man, and more specifically, no GOVERNMENT made up of men, truly needed in order to give us, we the people, said rights.  [And men simply being, humanity...]

America just isn't like some places around the world at all.

Take for example, the Middle East, the whole kit and caboodle.  (Did you like that?   You know, the more you know, the more you learn you don't know...and sometimes the origins of things matter -- just as in other times,  it doesn't make a hill of beans difference  (boom).   Am I right, Mrs. Hillary "what difference at this point does it make" Clinton?)

oh my goodness, all this digression is gonna kill my point today.

So over the weekend, in a part of the world where multiple religions cannot live freely and openly with one another -- the Middle East -- we received word of another beheading.  No. Wait.  Not just one beheading, because then I might be able to reconcile a day of golf immediately thereafter -- but 21 be-headings.  Twenty One!   The antithesis of the 21 gun salute in every way, twenty-one Egyptian Coptic Christian men were beheaded on a beach in Libya.

Let's see why --  cue Breitbart:

"A Message Signed with Blood to the Nation of the Cross"  is the title of the video...

"Oh people, recently you have seen us on the hills of Al-Sham and Dabiq’s plain, chopping off the heads that have been carrying the cross for a long time, and today, we are on the south of Rome, on the land of Islam, Libya, sending another message.
All crusaders: safety for you will be only wishes especially if you are fighting us all together. Therefore we will fight you all together. The sea you have hidden Sheikh Osama bin Laden’s body in, we swear to Allah we will mix it with your blood."
so that is pretty clear,

the land of Islam is fighting against the "Nation of the Cross" -- which is all of Christianity, no matter Rome, Italy or Rome, New York,  or Rome, Georgia.   [and what am I thinking -- let's give a free enterprise nod to Olive Garden's latest advertising campaign planting that seed.]

"All crusaders...The sea you have hidden Sheikh Osama bin Laden’s body in, we swear to Allah we will mix it with your blood."
Taking a cue from President Obama's speech at the National Prayer Breakfast a couple weeks ago, these Violent Islamic Extremists believe nothing's changed from the Middle Ages, talking the Crusades and all.  So thank you, Mr. President; our president handed them a new narrative --- not that any of them in the caboodle needed one.

And what up -- using the burial place in the death of Osama Bin Laden as another talking point? That certainly takes us back to the punting-football moment of "GM is alive and Bin Laden is dead", huh Joe.

And what up --  Libya?  Of all places for this caboodle of masked Islamic Caliphate marauders to land...

If anyone is keeping track, nearly everything this administration has done to"bring peace and civility" to the Middle East has blown up in their faces.  Or is that OUR faces -- as in, all of our faces, as in they, the "ISIL-affiliated terrorists," will fight us all together, as in all of us?

And just how did our administration respond to the be-headings?

“The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptian citizens in Libya by ISIL-affiliated terrorists,” it said. “We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and our support to the Egyptian government and people as they grieve for their fellow citizens. ISIL’s barbarity knows no bounds. It is unconstrained by faith, sect, or ethnicity.”
[But it IS CONSTRAINED by faith, sect, and ethnicity!!!!!   FOR THEY TELL US SO!!!!!!]

Oh but here's another thing -- it wasn't even spoken out of  the mouth of our president (because he went golfing!!!!!!).   The world comes to a standstill with the shock and horror of twenty-one Christian Coptic Egyptians being beheaded on a beach in Libya and our president cannot sit still for one day out of respect?  Seriously?  [Of course this girl is not surprised; he didn't join the world's leaders in solidarity in Paris either...]

Here's a thought:  Can you just imagine how the president would react if Christians beheaded 21 Muslims on a beach in San Diego?

But wait.  There's more.

TO combat all of this stuff that we seem to not know about the kit and caboodle of characters, be it ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hamas, and lone-wolf terrorists of all shapes and sizes but same bat channel of religious association AND all of its affiliates:  the Nation of Islam...

we get a summit.
Because talking about it is much easier than doing something about it.

V.P. Joe Biden is expected to open the summit.

Wonder what he will begin with....perhaps we can expect something equally provocative and catchy as reminding the nation of Islam we killed their leader.  And with aplomb.

Rest assured, there will be many discussions -- MANY --  on the whole kit and caboodle that is  considered acts of extremism and terrorism and all things threatening in America and the entire world in which we live.  It will ALL be DISCUSSED.

hmmmmmm...

It was just a week ago -- only a few days before the be-headings of 21 Coptic Christian Egyptians on a beach in Libya, a place of  Islamic Implosion since the day we bombed it without any long-term plan of sustainability in place -- our president made this announcement:

Make no mistake — this is a difficult mission and it will remain difficult for some time. It’s going to take time to dislodge these terrorists, especially from urban areas. But our coalition is on the offensive. ISIL is on the defensive, and ISIL is going to lose,” Mr. Obama said in a brief address. “Our coalition is strong, our cause is just and our mission will succeed. And long after the terrorists we face today are destroyed and forgotten, America will continue to stand free and tall and strong.  (The Washington Times)

Indeed.

They -- the "ISIL-affiliated terrorists"  -- came right back "on the defensive" and beheaded 21 Christians for no other reason than they be Christian  -- does it really matter where they came?

yeah, America is not like that.
America was AND is designed to be different...
exceptional, if you will.
The exception to the way of the world around us
was governed, back in the day;
and remains to this day
the divine design of
the ORIGINS of our
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.

beautiful.

The Washington Times continues, noting:

The authorization prohibits “enduring offensive ground combat operations,” but there is confusion about exactly what that term means. Mr. Obama stressed that he won’t commit the U.S. to another all-out ground war but made clear that he will use special operations forces to target Islamic State leaders when necessary.
“If we had actionable intelligence about a gathering of ISIL leaders and our partners didn’t have the capacity to get them, I would be prepared to order our special forces to take action,” he said.
exactly.
that's what summits are for -- and then applying the "actionable intelligence"  using any means necessary...It’s going to take time to dislodge these terrorists, especially from urban areas.

[that's funny...'especially from urban areas'...what? did our president really just say that?]

and Our coalition is strong, our cause is just and our mission will succeed. And long after the terrorists we face today are destroyed and forgotten, America will continue to stand free and tall and strong.

yeah. yeah,  they will just go away.

Because our mission is stronger than their mission, our cause is more just than their cause??

But what does history tell us...

The United States and Islam have a history...

From a piece plucked from WND.com, Bill Federer explains:

When Jefferson asked the Muslim ambassador what the new country of America had done to offend them, he reported to John Jay, March 28, 1786: “The Ambassador answered us that it was … written in their Qur’an, that all nations who should not have acknowledged Islam’s authority were sinners, that it was their … duty to make war upon them … and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners.”

President Jefferson's response -- he sent in the bloody Navy and the Marines, a.k.a. America's whole kit and caboodle, saying:

[In his First Annual Message, Dec. 8, 1801, Thomas Jefferson stated:]
“Tripoli … of the Barbary States, had come forward with demands unfounded either in right or in compact, and had permitted itself to (announce) war on our failure to comply before a given day. The style of the demand admitted but one answer. I sent a small squadron of frigates into the Mediterranean, with assurances to that power of our sincere desire to remain in peace, but with orders to protect our commerce against the threatened attack. ”

As Federer continues to explain --

The Navy and Marines later captured Tripoli and forced the Pasha to make peace on U.S. terms.
Frederick Leiner wrote in “The End of the Barbary Terror – America’s 1815 War Against the Pirates of North Africa” (Oxford University Press): “Commodore Stephen Decatur and diplomat William Shaler withdrew to consult in private. … The Algerians were believed to be masters of duplicity, willing to make agreements and break them as they found convenient.”

[And for more about this time in history, go to The Thomas Jefferson Papers, here]

"Masters of Duplicity"

kinda reminding me of a certain Commander-In-Chief.  just sayin'

Me thinks the whole kit and caboodle under God here is in for a rude awakening once history is documented for all the world to see. (That is, if we survive and live in a land with the freedom to tell the story still).

Long after this president is gone -- after he finds himself upon the greens in Palm Desert with no reason not to... day after day after day -- we will all come to know the truth about what is truly happening here.

And the hindsight will not be kind; for President Obama's true caboodle is not here, but over there.

He will retire from office and realize what he's always known -- he will "convert" to Islam and come out of the closet a Muslim. [Working in the same pattern as his "evolution" on traditional marriage...   He lives a lie until he can safely come out with the truth.  It's just about the optics, of politics, you know....and everyone will applaud his bravery, no doubt.]  go ahead and laugh...what ever.  Mark my words, you heard it here first.

Thing is -- the whole kit and caboodle always comes out eventually.

Make it a Good Day, G

and right, Mr. President -- ISIL is on defense, as far as the eye can see, which presently, is all over the internet.  God save us all.

It's a Day in the Life of America Losing Her Way Thing

Dear America,

so,
here we are.
It's a Day After and a Day Of intertwined.

What?
What the hell G?  What does that even mean?!

I used to mention the Day After often.   We've covered a Day After in full context, be it in the detailing of speeches, State of the Union's, elections, whatever... fitting the phrase in when the moment fits like the best cliche (and you know I like my cliche's).

But of course, if you follow me at all,  I haven't gone down the Day After line of assault for a very long time it would seem.

While today -- this DAY OF --  is the thirteenth anniversary of 9/11  AND the second anniversary of the Benghazi attack  (strange how President Obama left that out).   Having said that, my girl was just beginning her third week of Kindergarten.

So,
here we are.
It's a Day After and a Day Of intertwined.

And now let me ask you  -- just how have we - America -  weathered the years?

You know, time is a funny thing.

There's a part of me who believes I haven't changed one teeny tiny itty bitty bit  since the days of finger painting and paste...and there was lots and lots of paste.

And yet, it's been a long time!  Thirteen years!

George Bush was only just beginning his first term!  Just NINE MONTHS IN.  [And to think -- this is what happens thirteen years thereafter...unbelievable.]

While from my personal perspective -- it's enough time for my girl to have started and finished her early education; and now, as you all know, with intellect and maturity and diploma in hand, she has fully prepared and readied herself for the next level -- the University.

How about we talk about what was really going on in Benghazi,  just days, maybe weeks, correction -- months --  before Ambassador Stevens and three Americans were killed...

oh it's not a question.

READ THIS in it's entirety, as featured on WND just three days ago.

How have we weathered?

How have we weathered?

We are adrift.

We are adrift and at the mercy of an administration who is not our friend.

We have an administration who clings to an ideology over the protection of the American people; we have an administration who hides the truth from the American people; we have an administration who twists the words and redefines our mission without a true strategy in place; we have an administration who plays with the truth -- the true reality on the ground and in power --- whether we're talking about Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Egypt, Libya...aw, and who are we kidding, even in America.

The tell?

The tell was in the opening moments of the president's fifteen minutes of modern day, "reluctant warrior*" fame when he had the audacity to say this (doubling down on HIS naturally born loyalties):

Now let's make two things clear: ISIL is not "Islamic." No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL's victims have been Muslim. And ISIL is certainly not a state. It was formerly al-Qaeda's affiliate in Iraq, and has taken advantage of sectarian strife and Syria's civil war to gain territory on both sides of the Iraq-Syrian border. It is recognized by no government, nor the people it subjugates. ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.
(Plucked from NPR online)

* note: the commentators of last night kept referring to the president as the "reluctant warrior" of some sort -- as if that's something to be proud of.   Really?  Is that how we want our Commander-In-Chief to be described?

And the nerve -- the president saying they are not Islamic.  Once again -- way to sympathize with an enemy that has been nothing but clear in the matter.  They are fighting, and fighting hard, against the Western World, the INFIDELS in the name of their religion!  And yet you give this mighty sort of rebels who have no fear whatsoever of dying on behalf of Allah this explanation that continues to save Muslims from any responsibility and connection to this catastrophic implosion of ideals within the barriers of the Middle East and beyond.

For certain, after thirteen years of watching the wars, the region, the players, the rebels (altogether being -- the good, the bad, and the ugly) -- how does anyone really know for sure who we are really dealing with?

Remember it was not that long ago in the great scheme of things when THIS administration had said this:

The term Muslim Brotherhood is an umbrella term for a variety of movements. In the case of Egypt, a very heterogeneous group, largely secular, which has eschewed violence and has decried al-Qaeda as a perversion of Islam," Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told a congressional hearing today.

wow, right?
February 10, 2011.

And today?

Actions in Congress over the summer,  circa July 24th, designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, go here...

Perhaps prompted, in part, by Egypt's actions, dating back to last year, go here...

The thing is -- who can you trust anymore when you can't even trust our own?  How can we go from James Clapper, as the DIRECTOR of NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE no less, saying oh, the brotherhood, no big deal.  They're harmless, secular, no trouble at all....to a big time ooops, scratch that, take it back, they are vewy, vewy bad.

Fast forward to the latest polling question asking the American people, do you feel safe?

Here's the pulse on that, go.

So,
here we are.
It's the Day After and the Day Of intertwined.

Some say the president had to make a speech to correct the optics; that the American people have given up on this president and his ability to do the one thing he's supposed to be doing and doing it well, without a smidgen of doubt, at all times -- and that being in the job of protecting America, the American people, from our borders and extending out to our presence over the entire world.

Does he have our back?

Is there no American left behind -- accounting for all three hundred million of us?

This job is not for the faint of heart --  let alone a thin-skinned, narcissistic, unprepared, never vetted, Manchurian candidate, now president, who decides to play golf the DAY Of responding to the beheading of an American journalist.

"ISIL is not 'Islamic', " the president says.

seriously, Mr. President?

This is what ISIL/ISIS is, whether we are talking yesterday, today or tomorrow:

Under fire from Iraqi military forces seeking to win back territory, an Al Qaeda break-away organization fighting in Iraq and Syria declared Sunday the establishment of a new “caliphate” — an Islamic state led by a single supreme religious and political leader.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, commonly known as ISIS, made the declaration in a statement released on the Internet, calling on Muslim factions worldwide to pledge allegiance.
The Sunni Muslim militant organization, which first made headlines fighting to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, named its own headman, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, caliph —or supreme leader — of the caliphate.
“He is the imam and caliph for the Muslims everywhere,” ISIS spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani said in the statement, calling the caliphate “the dream in all the Muslims’ hearts” and “the hope of all jihadists.”

Sounds pretty religious to me.  And you?

And they seem to have  a pretty clear vision to boot.

so,
here we are.

Do you feel safer, smarter, ready to tackle the world?

ISIL does.

And as we speak,  they -- ISIL -- are fighting alongside the rebels against al-Assad, the Syrian president, too?  ?   And they have been there all along?    How do know we really know who is who?

No, seriously.

What a joke we are to the world.  Might as well extend the Nobel Peace Prize recipient the Class Clown while we're at it.

Did we arrange to give ISIL any weapons, by chance?

Is there anyone -- in this so-called American administration -- on our freaking side and keeping their eye on the ammunition?  Really.  Is there?!?

What the hell is going on?

Oh my -- I may be living a nightmare, but I have a dream.

I have a dream we have a brand spanking new president.

Someone like, oh, maybe, a Ted Cruz...

Instead, we need a Commander in Chief who articulates a specific military objective tethered directly to defending U.S. national security. We did not see that tonight. "We should destroy ISIS altogether, using overwhelming airpower to ensure they cannot bring jihad to America.
Oh and there was plenty more; for more, go here.

Politics and Facts are sticky things.

Intertwined.......indeed  and always......it's in constant motion all the live long day.

It's how we come to a Day After and a Day Of  all on the same day.

How have we weathered?

How have we weathered?

America is showing her age -- minus the wisdom; the kind of wisdom that which should naturally build over time...experiences, investigation, deep background, homework; the kind of wisdom that organically, and yet intentionally, coalesces a vision that substantiates and supports a mission that exudes a certain strength, an enduring fortitude,  that supports and upholds the foundation set forth from our birth and GROWS UP.

How does the world see America now?  It isn't pretty.

Personally -- over the last thirteen years, I have witnessed my little girl come into her own.  She is happy, balanced, secure in herself, knowing exactly where she comes from and astoundingly, has come into an awareness of where she wants to go from here with the tools in place to get her there.

Make no mistake, right Mr. President?  Isn't that how you say it? ------

No, no, I got it.  Let me be clear --  the last thirteen years in America has not been kind.  And the last six years has been abysmal (O-bizmal), ISIS/ISIL....

It would seem we haven't learned a thing.

What a waste.

Or is it that as a nation, we have grown no different than the prevailing, debilitating, compromising attitudes of entitlement and self-serving social justice agendas that have infiltrated our very soul as a whole?  All of it is just distracting us from being all that we are truly meant to be; and none of it is making us appear any smarter for it.

But here we are anyway, in spite of ourselves --
endeavoring to be the world's beacon on a shoestring.  And with one foot in and one foot out, we shake it all about, do the hokey pokey and we turn ourselves about...that's what it's all about foreign policy...

...oh to be five.

But here we are -- tripping and falling all over ourselves and the playground we live; venturing forward without really being prepared and fully committed of doing all the work that will be required of us -- and without the coveted constitutional prerequisite no less --   the glorious congressional approval. [And surely that was a run-on sentence, some things never change on G thing...]

Here we are.

Thirteen years later.

So,
in memory of 9/11/01 and  9/11/12  my heart aches in the Day After and in the Day Of.

I wonder what the president is doing today?

I bet he's thinking he has dodged the proverbial political bullet.

His schedule today doesn't include any meetings with a general, nor a Defense Secretary, or for that matter, a Director of National Intelligence.  It shows a meeting with the Director of Health and Human Services Burwell, in the Oval Office... and an unspecified service project later in the day. Oh and lunch with Joe.

Interesting, isn't it?

After last night's speech, I would imagine him locking himself and the powers that be into the situation room until we win, or something.  And even if it's for just one day.

For the optics, you know...

For the politics and talking points and photo-ops -- showing the president and Commander-In-Chief getting to brass tacks to "destroy"  ISIS.

It's ridiculous, really.

But here we are.
Don't be fooled.
It's just another day in the life of America losing her way.

Where will we be in another thirteen years?

Make it a Good Day, G

It's an Americanization Thing

Dear America,
"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

how many of us, living in America, would stand with our hand over our heart and say this very same pledge without prejudice... without a doubt... without an ACLU attorney present and by our side?

From The Patriot Post this morning, nearing the end of his column, Mark Alexander's weekly essay told of a story about one of his colleagues, adding a personal dimension while striking hard upon the ramifications if America cannot find the delicate balance of immigration and citizenship.

As told by Alexander, this fellow patriot, now working alongside him, was born in Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, in the area of Bratislava. By the way he tells it, this colleague grew up with one lifelong dream:  making America his home.  And so it begins, trailblazing his own path to citizenship -- in a country across an ocean and miles further in ideology -- that ultimately took him years... unimaginable initiative... and tireless effort.

Alexander just had to know, just what are his thoughts about America's current immigration reform agenda, and he replied with this:
"Sometimes I wonder why we came here and I struggled so hard to become a U.S. citizen, when the U.S. is moving toward the tyranny I worked so hard to escape.
...The out-of-control government spending and regulations, more government programs and employees, just lead to more corruption and constriction of Liberty. This is a cancer that will kill free enterprise. In Czechoslovakia, the socialist's control and regulation led to political corruption, and no reason to work harder because if you earned more, the government took more to give to others. America is sick with this cancer and it should be removed..."

spoken like a guy who knows from experience. and not finished, he added:

"America needs very strict controls, and those who do become citizens should be 'Americanized' or else America will be no more."

It was Joe Walsh (R), the gentleman from Illinois, who said -- immediately following the sideshow meeting President Obama held with the GOP leaders over the Debt Ceiling Dilemma --  "he has no idea how the free market works" when pressed for some clues about how things went, with Neil Cavuto yesterday; Walsh went a step further, posing the concern that the topic of debt and deficits is just not registering with the leader of the free world. [sure...let's....piggy backing on yesterday's G, picture football flying over head]

Now over two years in, we have proven, for the umpteenth time, stimulus spending, government intervention, and more entitlement just does not work to lift a country out of economic doldrums.  And to that end, the GOP are seeking strong measures to get America back on track.  And while Obama claims he wants to hear what republicans have to say, he has no intention of caving in on his America dream  -- to fundamentally transform her from the inside out.

What to do, what to do, when a president needs Americanization.

so yes, maybe I am weaving in a wee bit too much for one day.  but the thing is, if you allow me to expand,  there really is a common thread between our debt, our running up of trillion dollar deficits, beside the dangers and  remarkable contrast of the American way of life running in short supply.

The absence of an Americanized citizenry is all around us; we are no longer recreating the americanized role model according to plan; we are no longer living within our means, according to plan; we are no longer speaking one language, according to plan; we are no longer melting into one, unified body of people, under God, according to plan; we are no longer living in community with self-reliant, independent citizenry, according to plan; we are no longer willing and able, if not fully emblazoned, to give respectfully of ourselves to God and country, no matter what comes, according to plan [see pledge at the start]; we are no longer elevating the principles of a true free market society, according to plan...and on and on.

According to a new New Deal, we have entered a new age and by the looks of things, could not care less -- for this is an age where no initiative, no extra effort, no allegiance, no pledge, no prayerful thought is required; and, as a matter of fact,  is frowned upon even.  just follow the bouncing ball...where are we at...

Obama's budget was voted down in the Senate 97 to zero; not one democrat was willing to stick out his allegiance to the president's plan, not one!  Obama is willing to add 2.4 Trillion dollars to our, already, gargantuan national debt of 14.4 Trillion, with no strings attached.  Obama is willing to overlook the illegalities of 12 to 18 million illegal immigrants  votes, disrespectful of the hundreds of thousands of people like this Slovakian colleague of Mark Alexander's, in a Statue of Liberty minute. Obama is willing to jeopardize the nation's solvency by adding another entitlement we cannot afford -- while ignoring the immediate reform needed of the programs we already have.

Obama thinks stimulating a "free market" is accomplished best by adding government jobs, government grants, government bureaucrats, government intervention/regulation/control, all adding 20% to the government bottom line.  As unamerican as an American president can get,  I am willing to bet that Obama is willing to sell America's soul if we let him (and no, I didn't just call him the devil.  I am merely responding to a repeated offense -- with emphasis on a simple question --  just how far is this president willing to go? because I'm not sensing any self-control here.  This man has an agenda that counters every American ideal through and through).

Continuing with the theme of the week,  a jaded G stands with Walsh, President Obama does not understand a true free market -- the very market this country was made, flourished even, rising out of the tireless efforts of immigrants past, those who paved the way and made possible a nation's future... creating... prospering... in the free-est society that ever lived.

But that takes work, a conscience, integrity, even the ability to see far down the road, into the lives of future generations, doesn't it?

A system built upon robbing Peter to pay Paul -- whether it is in the capacity of hardworking Americans feeding the mouths of families here illegally, or whether it is one hand of government feeding the empty coffers of another, it is all the same -- and in no way does it have the capacity to sustain us.   Bernie Madoff economics lasts only as long as the people remain blind, oblivious, and disengaged. And yet, the "progressives of today" and the "socialists of tomorrow" continually challenge this debate -- remaining clearly willing to let the "americanization" part of the equation go.

Perhaps it takes hearing the words of new Americans -- those effervescing the American spirit in every way, those who have had to work awfully hard to get here, who get this from the gut -- to remind us of just what is at stake.

We are in a world of hurt.  A hurt so huge, anyone with half a brain must realize the injustice is not from one party, one cause, building upon one issue larger than next -- it is all of it.  It is a vicious combination, and going viral as we speak, stemming from americans no longer acting and behaving and leading as AMERICANS -- as one voice shining above all the rest, reciting in unison a pledge that binds our hearts and minds forever.  A voice that stands together, willing to do whatever it takes, in order to establish a new life, in a new country, feeding a new dream that can only come living in community within the borders of a truly free society.

As a people, we no longer reflect the American way, the truth, and the Light.

In the meeting with the president, Paul Ryan said it best, “Leadership should come from the top.”

Demonstrating just how far he is willing to go to make things right -- and for me, calling for backup from an article published on The Hill, Ryan capitalizes on his meeting with the president saying to the press, “As far as Medicare is concerned, we wanted to make sure the president understood the facts about our proposal so he doesn’t continue to mischaracterize it. We just needed to clear the air."

Can you just imagine what it is like for a Slovakian waking up as an American citizen for the very first time?  I can only assume every day would be brand new.  No matter the weather, the air would be clearer, fresher, an invigorating burst of new life for a wayward, tiresome soul who spent years making it his reality.

It would behoove each and every one of us to walk out our door right now and take in a good, long breath -- maybe even fall down on bended knee and kiss the ground good.

Americanization is the only way America works.
and with that, my three day jaded spree is sensing a lift...

Make it a Good Day, G

speaking of which, happy Ascension Day to my fellow believers xx
